The transmission control module can be located beneath the cover on the rear side of the transmission in a 2001 Honda Accord. If there is a problem with the gearbox, also known as the transmission, several symptoms can be observed. Signs such as slipping or jarring gears during shifts, delayed or premature shifting, and unusual sounds during gear changes. A grinding noise from under the hood could indicate gears rubbing against each other. Leaving the car parked for an extended period might result in a puddle of transmission fluid beneath the vehicle from a line leak. In severe cases, the car may fail to operate altogether due to a seized transmission, leading to significant damage.
