The 2000 Honda Accord's transmission control module, which is also the powertrain control module, can be found below the dashboard behind the front lower panel near the center console. If you start experiencing issues like stalling during gear changes, failure to shift gears, the transmission not downshifting when stopped, or being stuck in neutral on automatic models, it could indicate a failing TCM/PCM. Unlike resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery, you will need a specific transmission scan tool or a visit to the dealership to address TCM issues. Sometimes, software problems with the PCM can be fixed by updating the module through reprogramming.
The 2000 Honda Accord's transmission control module is located inside the transmission, towards the rear of the case and below the main cover.
