To access the transmission control module in a 2007 Chrysler 300, begin by removing the kick panel below the steering wheel. Start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal in the trunk using a 10-millimeter socket to loosen it. Then, open the driver's side door and take off the trim panel at the end of the dash. You can use a plastic panel tool or a Flathead screwdriver to carefully pry it out as it is held in place with clips. After removing the trim panel, unscrew the two 7-millimeter bolts at the end of the dash. Finally, detach the kick panel by prying it down, revealing the TCM situated at the base of the steering column.
The TCM for the 2007 Chrysler 300 is located beneath and to the left of the driver's side steering column.
I own a 2007 Chrysler 300C that's showing a U1402 error code. Any thoughts on what might be causing this problem?
