I'm afraid the 2004 Honda Pilot doesn't have a transmission dipstick, so you can't check the transmission fluid level the traditional way. To change the fluid, you'll have to locate the drain nut under the transmission at the bottom of the vehicle.
The dipstick for checking the transmission fluid in a 2004 Honda Pilot is located on the side of the transmission. It is usually easy to spot as it has a distinctive yellow cover with a loop handle for easy access.
My 2004 Pilot has a problem with the engine on the right side.
