The 2012 Audi A4 does not have a USB port, which might seem odd for a relatively new vehicle. However, you can purchase an AMI cable directly from the manufacturer to allow you to connect various USB devices, as well as a mini-plug. While Audi sells this cable at a high price of $80, you can find it much cheaper on eBay for around $12. Installing the cable is easy – simply plug one end into the AMI connector on your dashboard and the other end into your USB device.
In 2012, the Audi A4 Quattro comes equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and three 12-volt power outlets, but there is no USB port available. Despite trying, a USB adapter cannot be used with any of the three power outlets, but the cigarette lighter functions properly (even though I don't smoke).
