In a 2017 Chevy Silverado, the USB port is situated on the primary console dashboard. If it malfunctions, the issue might stem from faulty power wires, but it's more likely due to a blown fuse. To access the fuse box located under the car's hood, you should raise the hood and secure it. Look for a black box or case along the right side of the engine compartment with a visible seam. Opening this box reveals the fuse inside. The back of the case lid usually features a diagram indicating which fuse corresponds to what function. If the diagram is not there, consult the car owner's manual. Identify the necessary fuse and remove it - a functioning fuse will show a intact metal strip connecting the two raised parts. A damaged strip means the fuse needs to be replaced. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around 10 dollars each.
