To locate the alarm siren on an Audi TT MK2, you should check the inner fender well on the right side. It may be challenging to locate and access, but you'll have to remove the fender well to start the repair or replacement process. Once you have access, look for a small silver metal box with slotted fins on top. Replacing the alarm siren can be costly, given Audi's tendency to have high component prices. Therefore, you should consider whether replacing it is necessary based on a cost-benefit analysis, as it is not an essential part.
The alarm siren for the Audi TT Mk2 is located in the wheel well on the driver's side.
Incorrect. The unit is situated on the passenger side in American vehicles, beneath the front fender. To remove it, turn the wheel completely to the right, elevate the front passenger side of the car, undo the 4 screws holding the front passenger wheel lining in place, and pull back the lining. Upon looking towards the mirror, a silver box will come into view. At the top, there is a bolt that can be sensed, which can be loosened and taken out with a small socket wrench to replace the unit. Contrary to what other sources suggest, there is no requirement to remove the fender for this process.
