The 2009 Mercedes E350 has two batteries, with the main one located on the passenger side of the engine bay next to the back corner of the firewall, covered by a plastic shield secured with clips. The second battery is found in the trunk under the cargo liner on the passenger side. To detach its cables, you'll need a 10mm wrench. Signs that signal a need for replacement include difficulty starting, cranking issues, and a lack of interior lighting or chimes. Less common indicators are a clicking noise when trying to start the car, having to press the gas pedal to start, and misfires. Intermittent charging problems can affect spark plug ignition and the starter solenoid's operation. If a battery is consistently draining or not holding a charge, a faulty alternator could be the cause.
The battery of the 2009 Mercedes E350 is situated on the right side of the trunk, where the passenger sits.
