The cigarette lighter position in your 2017 Honda Civic has been moved compared to previous models. Instead of being easily accessible in the center console, you now have to flip down a small panel in front of the shifter to reach the 12-volt socket. Unfortunately, there is no longer a traditional cigarette lighter coil mechanism present. However, Honda offers a genuine cigarette lighter as an aftermarket replacement for the 12-volt socket, with the part number 08U96-S9A-101. This item typically costs around $60 and can be purchased online from Amazon if you're comfortable with that option. As for buying cigarettes, I can't offer any advice, but I hope you don't live in a state with high tobacco taxes like where I am located!
The cigarette lighter in the 2017 Honda Civic can be found right below the radio in the middle compartment of the car.
