If you have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata with a 2.7L V6 engine, locating the crankshaft position sensor may be a bit tricky. Start your search close to the crankshaft, where you'll discover the sensor situated on the left rear side of the engine block near the bell housing. It is secured by a 10mm bolt. Specifically, check to the right of the exhaust manifold, towards the engine's left side or the radiator side. A replacement sensor typically costs between $40 and $100. Once you are familiar with its appearance, you'll have an easier time pinpointing it on your Sonata.
