In the 2013 Kia Optima, you can locate the fog light fuse inside the fuse box. Look to the left of the steering wheel and search for a small seam or crack along the dash. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, there are multiple fuses. Look at the diagram on the back of the panel to understand the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not present, refer to the vehicle owner's manual. Once you identify the needed fuse, simply remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is intact. If it's broken, the fuse is faulty and needs replacing. If the strip is intact, the fuse is good to go back in. A new fuse typically costs around $10, making them affordable to replace.
The 2013 Kia Optima has two fuse boxes. One can be found under the hood, and the other is situated under the dashboard beneath the steering wheel.
There is no specific fuse designed for the fog lights. Usually, the issue lies with the multi-function switch on the steering column, which can go faulty and require replacement. Since the steering wheel operates on a spring system, it would be advisable to have it repaired by a dealership.
