In a 2007 Chevy Silverado, the idle air control valve is situated on the throttle body just before the intake manifold. To reach it, you'll have to take out the intake. This valve regulates the intake while the engine is idling, keeping the engine's RPMs steady so it doesn't constantly rev up and down. Common signs of a failing IACV include rough idling and stalling at idle. Cleaning out the throttle body and control valve with Throttle Body Cleaner from an auto parts store can often resolve any problems. You can do this without removing the parts from the engine by spraying the cleaner directly into the throttle body while manually opening and closing it.
