In the 2012 Nissan Altima, the OBD-II port has power from two separate fuses that are also used for the cigarette lighter outlets. These fuses can be found in the interior fuse panel, located on the lower left side near the steering column and driver's kick panel. Look for fuses at positions S5 and 18, with a 20-amp fuse at position 5 and a 15-amp fuse at position 18. If you find yourself frequently blowing these fuses, there may be a larger issue to address. If the issue pertains to the auxiliary power outlet fuses, there could be a problem with one of the outlets or the wiring itself. If you keep blowing fuses, it's a good idea to inspect the entire system to prevent future problems.
The fuse for the onboard diagnostic system in a 2012 Nissan Altima can be found as Fuse 35 located in the fuse box situated behind the battery.
