In a 2013 Nissan Sentra, the thermostat is located on the driver's side of the engine, to the left of the battery. To replace it, start by opening the hood. Pull the hood release lever beneath the traction control buttons to the left of the steering wheel until you hear the hood pop. Then, exit the car, walk to the front, and slide your hand between the hood and the grill to find the latch. Move the lever to the side and lift the hood up. Locate the radiator cap, and follow the hoses back to the engine; at the end of them, you'll find the thermostat housing.
The thermostat in the 2013 Nissan Sentra can be found on the lower coolant line connected to the radiator.
