The 2010 Ford Focus does not come with coolant bleeder valves, so if you need to remove air from the radiator, you'll have to do it the traditional way. However, the good news is that the process is pretty easy and should only take about an hour, including setup and cleanup. Start by filling the radiator to the top and the expansion tank to the maximum level. Then, put on the pressure relief cap and start the engine. Rev the engine to 2,500 rpm for around 8 minutes until the thermostat opens, and then for an additional 3 minutes. Increase the rpm to 4,000 for 5 seconds, then back to 2,500 for another 3 minutes. Turn off the engine and let it cool down before checking for any leaks and topping off the coolant level in the expansion tank if needed.
The bleeder valve is utilized to remove any air from the cooling system.
