It's a common problem with the Audi Q5 that the passenger door may not open from the outside due to a loose connection between the door and the latch. This issue can be easily resolved by installing a new latch wire, which is a straightforward fix. Troubleshoot by resetting the central lock settings on the display unit and testing the door. If the problem continues, visit a mechanic to tighten or replace the latch connection based on your car's needs. While it's possible to do it yourself, it's recommended to have an expert handle it as the cost is likely reasonable.
Hey Geoffrey, have you managed to solve this issue yet? I can unlock the door from the inside and it opens, but if I'm in the driver's seat and someone tries to open the passenger door, it doesn't work.
If you are experiencing difficulty opening the passenger door of an Audi Q5 from the outside, it is recommended to inspect the connection between the handle and the latch.
