Traded in my Wrangler for a BMW and everyone I worked with was great. The staff was super friendly and hung out with us and kept us entertained while the paperwork was being processed. We had just come from D&C and didn’t have the best experience and were welcomed immediately and treated with respect. It was much appreciated. Highly recommend!

Car dealers have a nasty reputation for not always being honest and forthright. The folks at Armstrong Volkswagen were very easy to work with an even though it seemed to take forever we got everything done in about 90 minutes. So happy and pleas ed with how we were treated. Steve our sales representative is a true hero. This poor man had his foot in a boot and was running around all over the property helping us. His dedication is worth his weight in gold. Thank you to the wonderful folks at Armstrong Volkswagen.

Where do I start... We bought a used car that didn't make it out 25 miles before it had issues. Took it back to the shop and while they attempted to make it right and fix things, their service guys would refuse to answer the phone, causing me to have go into the shop to get updates. Staffing issues was their an excuse but when I showed up there was two guys in the bay talking... All while the phones ring... Like what the heck is going on here.Just terrible communication throughout the experience. The two weeks it took them to repair the car caused us some pretty serious inconvenience. 1/5 stars for entertainment value and 1/5 stars for all the excessive inconvenience caused by this experience. And in case anyone thinks I'm off my rocker, just call the Honda dealership down the road. They will tell you exactly the same thing regarding the communication breakdowns.

My experience with Darrrien was great, he was not pushy, but allowed us to take our time. We appreciate his calm demeanor. I bought a car that didn’t turn out to be good for my family, but the manager was kind and accommodated our family with a better vehicle that fit my families needs.

January 4th of 2014 my wife and I leased a brand new Jetta Sedan. We went to Armstrong VW after calling all of the dealers in the state and Steve Simmons was kind of enough to text me that he had the car I wanted at the lease price I wanted. No other dealer had what I was looking for and only wanted to have me waste my time showing up in person before disappointing me on the lease terms.. I didn't play their game and I didn't need to because this was not the case with Armstrong. They were upfront, honest and respectful all the way through. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and courteous. This experience made my trip from Coos Bay worthwhile and the drive home in my new Jetta TDi a real pleasure.

Yeah. The only reason you see one star on those is because it won't let you pick zero. ARMSTRONG VOLKSWAGEN DESERVES ZERO STARS. I took in my car here to have someone look at my transmission. It was having some slight kicks when it first started occasionally, and I wanted to be on top of it so I wanted it looked at. I was told they had no idea what the problem was- but that the best solution was to replace my whole transmission- WHAT?! It was obvious they were trying to get a big sale out of me when it wasn't necessary. Of course I said NO, and walked away.After about maybe a year or two of my car still having some transmission problems that kept getting worse as time went on, I took it to a different shop. When they opened up my transmission to look at it, they found that my filter was MISSING. GONE. My car has likely been running for year or two without a filter in its transmission- and that's probably why I continued to notice the problems I did. So now, my transmission is filled with A TON metal pieces and has damage that shouldn't have ever been there in the first place if someone had just done their damn job and replaced a filter they took out. There is NO EXCUSE for this. This dealership looked at the transmission which means they either had to have known it was gone when they opened it and didn't tell me, or simply somehow "forgot" to put one back in.I know it was here because this is the only place that has worked on/looked my transmission prior to just now taking it to a new place and discovering all of this. The filter is inside, meaning it doesn't just fall out or disappear. You have to open it up in order to get at the filter, meaning it isn't something people can just easily take or have it fall or get bumped off. The people who I just took my car to were APPALLED that someone had left my car like this and not told me. It's probably too late to actually prove legally it was Armstrong Volkswagen, but I know it was. It has to be. There is no other explanation. The other shop I just took it to told me that my car would be next to fine if there had been a filter there. I had some low transmission fluid, but we should have caught it in time for it to do little damage had there been a filter on it. Because there was no filter, my cars transmission is near ruined. This is an expensive and hard fix. I am a recently graduated (college) student, so this fix is one that I just can't afford. I am now stuck in a very hard place all because of this dealership's complete inexcusable carelessness.I'm NEVER giving Armstrong Volkswagen my service or trusting you with my car EVER again and I don't suggest anyone else should either. I'm writing this review as a WARNING TO OTHERS so that they don't end up with these types of issues too because of this awful dealership. Unless you want your car ruined- STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM ARMSTRONG VOLKSWAGEN!

We came to purchase a car from Armstrong VW and had an amazing experience. We found the perfect car and loved working with Denis. Because we were coming from out-of-state, he helped us get an approval from the bank before we drove all the way there. The next morning we arrived to pick up our car & sign paperwork. We were in and out in under an hour and a half!! It was definitely worth the drive. We will definitely be looking here again for our next car.

My vehicle, a 2011 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI, died at my workplace this week. That location is around fifty miles away from Armstrong VW. I had the car towed to a VW dealership in that area, and was quoted $5000.00 as a cost for the fix. I called Chris O. at Armstrong to see if he could help me find a better option, since he had always been great to work with in the past. Chris negotiated a discounted rate with Speeds towing, and I had the car towed to Armstrong. Chris worked with VW and got the cost of the parts needed for the repair covered, so instead of $5000.00, the final bill will only be the labor charge of $1500.00. I highly recommend Armstrong VW and Chris O. for any VW service needs. I purchased this car there, and plan to return when I'm ready for my next VW. Thanks for the great customer service!

Great buying experience! Excellent service and easy agreement to terms and pricing. Painless process we were in and out in less than 90 minutes. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive used car and they were gracious and polite the entire time. They listened and did't try to push into the wrong car or something more expensive. We will definitely buy here again!

It literally took me longer to drive to Armstrong VW than it did to service my car. A couple of weeks earlier I went to DEQ to renew my registration when come to find out it wouldn't pass. I ran it over to Armstrong VW where Ken and the gang acted like a pit crew at a NASCAR race. I was in and out of there in no time and drove it directly to DEQ where it passed inspection. Thanks again Armstrong VW your'e the best!

My 2 year old Jetta was taken in for its scheduled maintenance under warranty. While there for over 4 hours I was told my car needed an alignment. I paid the $100 to get it aligned. As I was driving away to a previously scheduled appointment in the area, I notice the steering wheel wasn't straight. I immediately called the service department and they gave me a song and dance.ou I should have driven straight back and been late for my appointment. Hind sight is 20/20. Armstrong VW in Gladstone, OR did nothing to fix the problem. Lesson learned. I will never go back.

This review is intended only for the Sales Department. When I told you the first three times that we didn't want your in house financing, I thought we had made ourselves clear. After settling on the final price, you came back out with a consumer financing form asking for all of our personal information including our social security numbers. After realizing you were going to pull our credit (in a deceptive manner), which could have negatively hurt our credit scores, along with our home purchase planned for later this year. After refusing to sign the consumer credit form, the sales manager ripped the consumer credit form label off of the top, to which we replied to his actions "you're acting unprofessional" which was followed by him calling us "unprofessional". He claimed that this information was required for the Patriot Act, however, after further research into this area, a SSN is required to be provided to the lenders taking on the financing (which we took care of elsewhere). Needless to say we had a horrible experience with this dealership. Way to keep up with the typical car dealership "dirt-bag" perception. Due to his actions, we will be going elsewhere with our business, and be telling everyone we know not to shop at this location. We did file a complaint with Costco the following morning (went through their auto buying services), and within 5 minutes got an apology from the General Manager which we did appreciate. He stated that his sales manager had acted in an "inappropriate, unprofessional, and unacceptable manner", and that it was an isolated incident.
