I'm very dissatisfied with the quality of work on a simple job. I own a 2010 Super Duty F250 which I am trying to take very good care of. I've always taken it to the Ford dealerships for service because I only want Ford techs working on it using OEM parts. Note that it's the only vehicle of three I own that I take to a dealership. The original batteries in the truck finally "gave up the ghost". I tried reconditioning and charging them but to no avail ... they wouldn't hold charge. Normally I would have replaced them myself but recent medical issues required I let someone else do the work. I could have taken it to AdvanceAuto and they would have done the installation for free. Past experience shows that they do a very good and careful job of this simple task. Instead, wanting to keep everything on the truck "stock", I took it to Athens Ford ... who has done all the routine maintenance on this truck since I moved to the area. I was told in advance that it would cost some $340 and I agreed, realizing that some $50 of that was for installation. When picking up the truck, after paying the bill, I popped the hood to inspect the work. I found that one connector on each of the batteries was not fully engaging the battery post. The corrosion products had not been brushed or wiped off the terminal connectors (cleaning off corrosion products on battery connectors is required to maintain the life of the connector and the integrity of the connection ... it's not a "special" thing to be added to the work as I was later told.) One of the two positive terminal protectors (red rubber insulator) was wrapped underneath the cable and trapped between the cable and the battery. The original insulating "blankets" had been removed and were not replaced. I think these "blankets" were intended for shock absorption in rough conditions but I'm not sure. At any rate, they looked cool, contributed to the "Super Duty" look under the hood, and now they're gone. Any shade tree mechanic could have done a better job. I know these complaints on quality may seem like insignificant things, but this truck is special to us. I was willing to pay more to keep it nice and you failed to keep it so. I told the expediter I was dissatisfied, showed him the work, and, after making some lame excuses, agreed to take it back in and have it fixed. He did give me a coupon for a free oil change ... I'm debating whether to trust the dealership again. When I got it back, the corrosion products had still not been removed from the connectors. But, the new batteries were in and truck does start reliably. I expected more and better.

guy that processed me was great. I had asked for micrometer measurement on brake pads and he got those for me...facility is always clean and free wifi and all that...y'all changed oil and, rotated tires, etc. for cheaper than I could have done it myself...one thing was that i wanted to see what y'all would charge for front brake pad replacement and estimate was 300 bucks...i left shop and bought wagner pads for 50 bucks...so, that's like 250 in labor. I'm an amateur and I can do the pads in 30 to 45 minutes. y'all already had the tire jacked up and the tires off, so I wouldn't imagine it taking y'all more than 20 minutes for the front pads....I didn't want to have to do the pads myself, but I'm not willing to pay 250 bucks for 20 minutes of work...so, that was my only drawback...I had to go home and do the brakes myself...if the pricing was a bit more fair, I would have had y'all do it...

I have purchased two cars and have all my cars serviced here. I find this dealership to be buyer friendly. I normally wait for my car when serviced and find the waiting room very relaxing, with comfortable chairs and sofas. Wifi and tables allow to work while you wait. I also enjoy walking thru the lot looking at available. What is nice is salesman will discuss cars even with you while your own car is being serviced. I would recommend Athens Ford to anyone.

I was getting oil change. Service department supposed to check and fill fluids. Did not happen. Air filter was really dirty. I checked my self. No one recommended to tell me it should be changed. What is the point for customer to go after the service department to check if the services were preformed. Someone took my money for what.

Got great service from Jamison Johnson at Athens Ford. We saw a Ford Explorer Sport on their website but there were no photos since they had just received the vehicle. Within minutes he did a video tour of the Explorer on his phone and sent it to us. We made the deal long distance without even seeing the vehicle, and he then arranged to have the Explorer delivered to us.

I usually bring my vehicle to Athens Ford for servicing due to the convenience of location. The staff is always friendly and professional. My only problem this time was that I requested the tires not be rotated. This process was to be handled at another location as part of purchase package. Unfortunately the tires were rotated. My technician was quick to offer compensation. Also, in the process of service the hoses to the washer fluid must have been disconnected, they didn't work later that day when needed. One call back to Athens Ford and the staff was able to take care of this problem. While it required me to bring back the vehicle, the staff is most courteous and made the time quick and comfortable.

After waiting over 3 weeks for a part to come in, it has still not shown up and all follow-up has been initiated by me despite 2 different service dept. employees assuring me they would look into it and get back to me. Apparently their phones don't work. When I call they claim it's a hold up on the warehouse, but yet I'm fairly certain any other auto parts store in town can have the part in 3 days. So much for service under warranty.

When I was looking for my new car, I checked out all the dealerships near me. The sales people were, for the most part, pushy and really not interested in selling me a certified pre-owned vehicle. When I got to Athens Ford, I found a different dealership. My sales guy, Jamison Johnson, who I had already talked to on the phone and set up an appointment with, listened to what I wanted and spent the time I wanted to take looking at both new and pre-owned cars. Jamison did not attempt to pressure me to purchase a new vehicle like other dealerships did. He guided me in buying the car I wanted. Kenny the finance guy was great too. After I purchased the car, Jamison called and emailed me to make sure I was completely satisfied with the purchase. When it was time to schedule my first service, I texted him to ask who I should talk to. He set the appointment up for me! This was not my first experience purchasing a vehicle but it was my first experiencing purchasing the car I wanted (not what the sales guy wanted me to buy. If you are looking for a new vehicle, give Athens Ford and Jamison Johnson a call. They will do you right!

Family atmosphere is how I would put it. I bought an Explorer for my wife recently. I had been to many other dealerships in the process but none that made me feel more relaxed and at home than this one. I was in need of a new vehicle and I really wasn't sure what kind of car I wanted to purchase. I went to almost all of the dealerships in Athens in search of the perfect car for my family. I decided to stop at Athens Ford to test drive the 2016 Ford Explorer. Jamison Johnson was the salesman who came out to help me. He was very knowledgable about the Explorer and answered all the questions that I had. While searching for my new car I meet several what I call "pushy" salesmen. They didn't want to listen to me and didn't want to take no for answer. Even when I left the dealership they would call me constantly. Jamison was not pushy at all and gave me time to think and make my decision. I decided to purchase the 2016 Ford Explorer from Athens Ford because I loved everything about the car. My husband is not the easiest to work with when it comes to price negotiation, but Jamison was awesome and helped get us a great price. When I was looking for a new vehicle, I looked at all the ford dealerships near me. I chose Athens Ford in part because of my sales person, Jamison Johnson. I talked to him on the phone before I ever visited the dealership. When I got there, he greeted me like we had always been friends. Knowing that I was primarily interested in a pre-owned vehicle, he still walked through the selection of new 2016 vehicles they had on the lot. Jamison spent about 2 hours with me just looking at the cars... first the certified pre-owned, then a new one or two, then the pre-owned one. Not once did he pressure me to purchase either new or certified pre-owned. He presented me with all the paperwork (including the car-fax) on the certified pre-owned vehicle that I decided to purchase. After the sale, he called and emailed me several times to check on me and to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Since that time, he has also helped me out by scheduling my oil change and maintenance appointments. If you are looking for a vehicle, Jamison can help!

Jamison Johnson took the time to get the deal put together that I wanted -- over the phone and on-line. *Then* he delivered the car to me, 70 miles away from his dealership!! He took my trade-in car with him back to the dealership, and I had my brand-new car in my driveway! I was on the search for a new truck. I found one at Athens Ford, but being almost 3 hours away, I was worried about making a deal. Sean talked to me over the phone and via text and we literally had it all worked out in just a few hours. Sean even went so far as to meet me halfway between Birmingham and Athens the next day and bring the truck to me. I don't like playing the dealership/salesman game when buying a new vehicle, but Sean made it easy and treated me like I was a family member. I received notification that the warranty was expired so I went in to check on that and investigated a trade in on new car. Ended up trading for 2017 Escape. I was not shopping for a new or used car, but decided to trade, with a little persuasion from the sales, finance and management. My wait for a regular oil change is performed in such a timely manner that I am so surprised when they tell me my car is ready. I travel over 50 miles and will continue to do so because of the feeling I get when I get there.

Took my car in for an airbag recall. Was told that it would be an hour appointment to see what parts would be needed. I waited on my car, because it would have taken just a long to leave it and come back after the "inspection". After an hour and a half, I went to check the status of my vehicle. I was told they had the parts and were doing the repair. "It will be done in about 20 minutes"....an hour later I went back to see where my car was and it was sitting in the lot. If someone would have told me how long this would have taken, I would have gone back to work. Communication with your customers!!!!

My service tech is Jesse and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. What a professional and caring tech ! He handled everything so great & when I was unable to reach him by phone that day. with a huge concern, he called early the next morning to ease my mind that he was keeping my car in the garage the whole time out of the rain. We went in to get oil change and tire rotation, was there for about one hour thirty five minutes, asked if there was a problem and the worker went to check on our truck and then I saw it being jacked up. I was told it would not be long, my husband was getting upset now it was 2 hours, he stopped a nice black salesman and he said it should not take 2 hours. Then the manager in the shop told us it was ready and he apologized and told us that we didn't have to pay. I asked if the next oil change and rotation will be free and he said yes. He handled the situation very well. He gave us paper work also

I brought my Fusion Hybrid in for a second opinion diagnostic check after already receiving some bad news from another auto repair shop...I was looking at about a $1700 repair, and I only had 80,000 miles on the car.This second opinion paid off. The repair was going to be more extensive, but covered under warranty. So, what I thought was going to be a very expensive repair ended up not costing me anything. Kudos to Dean Parris for making sure I had a loaner vehicle and for arranging a pickup on a Sunday when I got back from vacation. Dean worked on the warranty coverage, too, so I want to say a special thanks for all his hard work and accessibility during the process.

I have had to take my 2015 Escape over to Athens Ford twice now within the last couple months due to some minor issues. I have been so pleased with everything they have done to get my car fixed and back to me in great condition, even though my Escape was not purchased through them and is still under warranty. Jesse Lindler was absolutely great both times! He made sure they knew exactly what was wrong and got it all fixed in a timely manor. The dealership even gave me a rental Escape to drive since I had to leave my Escape with them overnight one evening. I am so happy to have had such a great place to take my car! I brought my 2014 Ford Edge for a 20,000 mile check up. I arrived at the time of my appointment and was greeted by a friendly service manager, who quickly went over the services to performed and directed me to the waiting area. Waiting room was clean and everyone I came in contact with was very friendly. I didn't wait long, about 30 to 45 minutes and with my coupon my service was very reasonable. I gladly drive to Athens from Covington because of the friendliness of the entire staff. The Covington Ford dealership left a bad taste in my mouth because of the way I was treated the 2 times I went to them for service. I purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 4x4. I had been looking a couple of months for one that was green gem in color and four regular size doors. I went on the Internet and one showed up at Athens Ford. I was staying with my daddy in the hospital almost 24/7 at the time and had to communicate entirely by Internet and text. I received communication from several employees asking me questions, answering questions, sending pictures, and asking about my daddy's progress. When I was able to get a brother to stay with daddy, I drove to Athens for a test drive and to make the purchase. Since the purchase, Athens Ford has been great about contacting me to be sure I was satisfied with the truck and asking about daddy. I feel that using the dealer assures getting the right parts and service though I sometimes think that they push more repairs. I was told that my Michelin belted radials with less than 30K miles needed replacing and they look fine to me. I contacted the internet sales department about my interest in a 2014 Ford Raptor. I was contacted by Jamison who went out of his way to tell me about the truck and bring to my attention a very nice red 2015 F150 they had. He made videos of each truck for me to take a look at (I work a schedule that makes it hard to get to Athens easily), answered my questions and even planned on driving the truck of my choice out to meet me so I could take a look at it. Considering my schedule, the sales staff went out of there way to let me take the truck home for two days to check it out and make sure it was everything I would want. This was a specialty truck they had sent to Rocky Ridge to customize so they did not have to do this. Once I decided this was the truck I wanted, Jamison and the sales staff went out of their way to make it an easy and swift transaction. All the paperwork was done while I was working, we sent the information and pictures of our trade-in, and then I was able to go in the next day and sign my side of the paperwork. I happened to have a co-signer and Jamison drove to Atlanta to make it easier for them instead of them having to come in after work. An amazing sales staff, and Jamison is definitely the best salesperson I have ever dealt with.Now, for the negative, the service department was a different matter and that side needs to up their game up a bit. I was the third vehicle to arrive and they are supposed to take care of each person in order of arrival. Somehow, their staff overlooked a GIANT RED TRUCK...and I waited another 5-10 minutes while their staff took care of the 4th car to arrive...minor issue, but still annoying. Then I let the staff know what was supposed to be done (nitrogen in the tires, and the exhaust was making a noise), and then it was supposed to go to the body shop to get the back cover put in...well...somehow...even though my truck was the 3rd vehicle to arrive and the body shop would not open for another hour, they just let the truck sit there until it was time for the body shop to do the cover. I was given a loaner car and I went and handled some errands. I came back 2 1/2 hours later, and the truck looked great with the tonneau cover. I then look at the tires and of course, nothing had been done. The service department never did their side of the work. So I sat around for another hour...now the service department is very nice looking but my first experience with them was way below par versus what I have experienced with Dodge/Chrysler for my other cars....I am definitely happy with the sales department and will definitely be back to look at future cars with them....i have a service contract with the dealership and ford, but I am doing some serious soul searching if I really want them to service this truck....

One...a man came around taking care of customers waiting to get information on status of repair...he never returned to give me the information. Service was great with my 2015 Ford C-max, Len went above and beyond and found me exactly what I wanted. The one down side was the price I was quoted and that sealed the deal with me was not what I ended up paying, I was not told that the price was based on me not getting the 0% financing option, and the price went up by $2500 if I chose to enroll in the 72 month 0% financing, full disclosure of the terms would have resulted in a perfect score rating from me.

My service visit started two days befor my actual visit. A wheelchair was added to my vehicle but no plate light was installed, Ordered the cable from your Parts section after a technician advised me of a Ford wire harness. I was advised that it would be in the next day but scheduled the install for later. Tiffany Scott handled the total arrangement calling me by name, almost made me feel like home. This is the type of service that goes a long way. I must say that was one of my best visits and she makes a difference. I am sure there are a few more good ones , but at this time she stands above them in my book. Thanks go dogs.

I would like to tell everyone it was well worth the trip. Facility was clean and staff extremely friendly. I drove from Fort Benning, GA to Athens, GA to purchase my new F150. Had I not, I would have lost $1,500. Who wouldn't want to save money on their bottom line. $30 in gas and a road trip and they saved me $1,500. If you don't know who to ask for; ask for Mark Mills. He spent alot of time on the phone prior to my arrival to assist me with my final selection. At no time did I feel pressured into purchasing a vehicle from Athens for I had other alternative in the Columbus area. He always made me feel important and never seemed to be in a rush to get off the phone until I was satisfied with the answers provided. This guys goes a million miles an hour and works hard to get you the best possible deal. Botttom line: Recommend Athens Ford and more importantly Mr. Marks Mills.

Well if you really want to sell and make business you will go all out and help your customers, will that did happen. It it want work sorry, you will need a co-signer. Mike Reagan was the nicest salesman I have ever encountered. We knew what we wanted to test drive from looking at the inventory on the website and that's what he showed us. He didn't pressure us into spending more money than we could afford and he was very supportive-- even though we had our two two year olds with us. He actually brought them balloons. Shannon in finance was also amazing-- he worked to get us out of there as quickly as possible because the toddlers were getting fussy. I had ordered window guards for my car and called about a week later to see if I could come in and have them put on for me. They said sure and I came right on in the same day. Whenever I arrived and they checked my car in I walked into the waiting room and man were they busy. It took 2 hours before the car was finished. I really didnt mind the wait but, I think it would have been better to tell me how busy they were and let me decide weather or not I wanted to wait 2 hour for a 15 minute job. I had a 2014 ford focus and loved that car but I had to have the transmission replaced due to a recall and my loaner car was a Fusion. Needless to say I loved driving it for for the whole 24 hours. A few months ate I had transmission issues again and was going to have to have it worked on, so I decided I wanted to just check and see about getting into a Fusion. They were running a special for the 2016's and offering 0% finacing. I told my husband let me just see the difference in cost. I have to say they worked me a deal and I got a car two years newer for about $45 more than what I was paying for my focus. I love, love , LOVE my Ford Fusion! I also absolutely live the staff at Athens Ford, Especially Ashley Nalley and Shannon Strickland!

I highly recommend the Service Advisor / Representative Josh at the Athens Ford Service department. From the moment I first met the guy I knew that I would be well taken care of. He first listened intently to my problem and displayed sincere concern for my family's safety, which made me feel really good. He then asked a colleague to research any recalls on my vehicle and the existing problem in order to see if it was under warranty from the company. He kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I was compensated with a comparable rental vehicle while the part was ordered and until the work was finished on my vehicle. He called me everyday with a status update on my vehicle. Also knowing that I worked nights, He was very courteous by calling just before the office closed as to not awake me too early. Josh was a true God send and a wonderful pleasure to work with. Because of him I will be back to the Athens Ford Service department for routine maintenance or whenever a problem arises with my vehicle.

Mark Mills and the rest of the staff are great to work with .I have been looking to replace my truck for a few month and told them exactly what i was looking for and they kept in touch with me every couple of weeks until the found what i was looking for. The buying process was pleasant and they were able to get me the terms and rate a wanted. Mark made a follow up call to me a week after i took delivery to see how i liked the truck and when i told him i was having a miner service issue and was having trouble getting away from work to bring it in he came to my office and picked it up, had the issue taken care of ,and had it back to my office before i got off work! Ford F-150 2013. I shared with two people concerning a noise that occurs primarily when going up a hill and around a curve. The first time I reported the problem, a representative asked if I can duplicate the noise driving in Athens. I reported it rarely occurs while driving in the Athens area. His answer was they can't fix it if it can't be duplicated here. I want the problem noted on file in case the warranty expires before the company can identify and correct the problem. On the service call July 28 I suggested that I will try to record the sound and then return to the dealership with that information with the anticipation that the correction can be made. Oil change and tire rotation F-150. I did have a problem with the battery on my truck. They stated that it was corrodide, and leaking. They reccomended a cleaning at the cost of 24.95. I brought it to their attention that everytime I bring the truck in they are telling me it needs cleaing. I pointed this out to them and fell if the battery has never been correct and has leaked since day one that they should make it right and replace the battery. All these records are on file. They stated they manager was in a meeting and they would speak with him and give me a call with a decision. That was Thursday July 2nd and I still haven't heard from them. I would like to add that Tiffany was the service advisor but she is not the gentlemen I spoke to in reference to the battery. Tiffany did a great job.

Our 2011 Ford Fusion was purchased new in late January, 2011. Being retired and with a handicapped wife, I do not drive a lot. Our car had 16,853 miles on the odometer when serviced, which was just 2,013 miles more than when serviced 7.5 months earlier. The multipoint inspection showed all to be in excellent condition except for the Cabin Air Filter, which was replaced. We were treated well and with respect. I was informed of the need for a new filter before it was installed. I am well pleased with all experiences I've had at Athens Ford.

I purchase my third vehicle with the help of Jeff Melton at Athens Ford. I purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. I love it! I had called Jeff to see another Edge but it sold before I got there. But Jeff had several others waiting for me to see when I arrived. We test drove two and I fell in love with my Edge. Jeff worked with me to see it had all the features I wanted and then some! Jeff also worked with Sean in Finance to handle all the paperwork and advise me on the value of the extended warranty, since I keep my vehcile at least 10 years! Once all the paperwork was signed, my new car was ready and waiting for me. It had been washed and had a full tank of gas! Always good service, love the remodeling! Only thing is this is the second time my clutch has gone out and it was just replaced last year. Is on national back order. Not Ford's fault though. I was also impressed with the waiting room. The waiting area is very well designed. The magazines, the TV, and the fountain drink machine really helped to pass the time. I have been in some dealership waiting rooms and I felt like I was in in closet or a prison and it seemed like I was stuck in time...but this waiting room made me feel relaxed and the hour I was there passed very quickly.

I had the "The Works" oil change performed on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The service was great and performed in a timely manner, while I waited. They noted that the jeep required a brake fluid exchange and a two part fuel system service. This is correct because of the age of the jeep, and the two services have not been performed before.I recommend them to service any Jeep. They also mounted and balanced new wider tires on some rims I purchased separately.

Unfortunately one of them was totaled due to a bad car accident in December. My husband and I didn't think we'd ever be able to get back into a new car again due to the financial burden of having a totaled car but Dean and the management team there really made it happen for us! It was an ongoing process but Dean never gave up on us and for that reason he has 2 very loyal customers. He makes you feel comfortable, no high pressure mumbo-jumbo, and its like talking to an old friend which makes it such a smoother process when your making such a big decision! Spent $300 plus on 2 new batteries before my first truck payment I bought the extended warranty and it was a certified pre owned car I took it to my local ford dealership after jump starting it they said I need 2 new batteries that we're not convered under either of my warranty pkgs and Athens ford said I should have driven it over 100 miles to them to fix it and never returned my call regarding reimbursing me they told me when I bought my extended warranty you can take it to any ford dealership also the gps, back speaker and fuel tank had to be dropped all before my first car payment

Over the last 6 weeks I had to modify my 6.0 liter diesel. Some of the parts needed to be from the dealer. I was expecting to take a bath on price and receive not so good service. What I received was prices lower than the local parts houses, knowledgable advice, a friendly smile, and a man remembered my name. Bottom line is this is unique customer service this day and age. I am Tony's customer for life. The next time I need another truck I will see Athens Ford first. The overall experience was great! Dean Parris knew I was traveling to the dealership from 400 miles away, so I wanted to get back on the road as soon as possible. He had the vehicle ready when I arrived, so I was in and out within one hour. This is the first dealership I didn't have to haggle with price. I made an offer that I thought was fair for both parties, and they agreed. First time that's ever happened!

I really can't believe I am writing a great review for a car dealership, but I really felt I had to after all they did. My credit is far from great and they were still able to get me better than expected financing. I emailed them what I needed in a car and they put me in this KIA that is absolutely perfect for my family. Had a maintenance issue that they not only corrected, but fixed the other side as a precautionary measure. As long as I live in this area I will only be buying from Athens Ford. Thank you all so much.

I have owned Ford vehicles since 1988 - a total of 3 since I drive them as long as I possibly can! They keep running so I keep driving.My recent service at Athens Ford was to repair/replace several things having to do with the heating and air conditioning units. The people at Athens Ford were great - Chris Stines explained everything in detail that would need to be done, how much it would cost, etc. And he found a loaner car for me to use while the work was being done. I could not have asked for any better service.

Andrew and Shawn took the requisite time to help us comprehensively compare models and options. Their pre-visit contact was great, and we drove over 60 miles from Roswell to Athens in order to deal with them. The dealership inventory was excellent. Andrew has excellent product knowledge and is very service-directed. Shawn facilitated a fair price and an efficient buying process. Andrew has been in contact post-sale to insure satisfaction. Overall, a very good experience.

I went in not expecting much and fairly desperate - my old car was on its last leg and I had very little money to buy a new one. These guys helped me through the whole process, were respectful and knowledgable and super patient in helping me weigh all of my options. They also were able to get me a great deal on a new car that I am very happy with. It has been almost two weeks and I am still excited every time I look at it. Next time I need a new car (which hopefully won't be for a very long while) I am definitely going here first.

I pretty much knew what I wanted to purchase and had already determined what was a good deal and what wasn't. Athens Ford did not jerk me around like the other dealers. I asked for a reasonable price and was given very close to it. So far so good with Athens Fords.

I am sure that many of her peer colleagues, possibly a few sales managers, could learn from her calm mannerisms and determination toward satisfying her customers. As a 17-time decorated US Army retiree and a 25 year public educator, Carly is that SOLDIER that we train to dig that foxhole and help those around you plus EDUCATE others by the example you portray! I recently purchased a new Ford Edge from Carly Shockley at Athens Ford. I started out looking at the Explorer model. Carly was very helpful from the very beginning. She explained all of the features and showed me how to find any additional information that I needed on the Ford website. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. After a month or so, I decided to look at the Ford Edge instead. I started the process all over again, and once again, Carly was very helpful. She worked with me to find the vehicle I was looking for and then helped us to negotiate a deal that would allow us to stay within our budget- all without being a "pushy salesperson". I would highly recommend working with Carly.

The extent of work required set up a dissatisfaction when reflecting on my prior history of scheduled maintenance visits during the past 2 years since moving into the area. Such reservations aside, your service department is pretty high quality.

Financial terms were easily explained, accepted, and clear. All personnel I came into contact with were positive, customer friendly, and made my business experience comfortable and pleasurable. I called the dealership to set up an appointment to view the Ford Fusion and the Ford Escape. I spoke with Jeff melton on the phone and he was exceptionally knowledgeable and di a great job of helping me understand both vehicles.When I arrived at the dealership at the appointment time, Jeff was there ready to show me the vehicles I called about. I felt that he did a great job of asking questions and listening, instead of just trying to sell me the whole time. I wanted to take a moment to thank the team at Athens Ford for a delightful experience. I presented Carly Shockley and Shawn Hetrick with a deal that I knew going in would be extremely difficult to make happen, if not impossible. Not only were they able to reach a deal that worked for me and got me into a "dream car" that I've wanted for some time (Jeep), but they did it all with a very high level of service and class that is rare in the industry today. At no time did I ever feel uncomfortable or pressured during the buying process. In fact, it was a very warm, pleasant transaction from the moment I stepped in the door. Carly and Shawn could not have been any more personable and easy to work with and I sincerely appreciate that. In addition, almost the entire sales team took time from the floor to assist in figuring out how to get the top on my new Jeep down (never owned one before, so this was a learning experience). It was a bit humorous and Carly gets extra kudos for getting her fingers slammed in the door accidentally by a fellow salesman and taking it like a champ. Fortunately, Brandon Scruggs from their parts department came to the rescue having been a Jeep owner himself and gave some useful pointers and advice and even an invite to a local, monthly Jeep get-together. By the end of the day, I was able to navigate the top on my own, no problem, thanks to his input.I've lived in Athens for 33 years. I've dealt with people at this dealership when it was University Ford and then again when it was Aikens Ford. I can attest that under its new management, this dealership is WORLDS BETTER than either of those previous incarnations. If you ever visited this dealership during one of its other management tenures, do yourself a favor and give this new group a chance. I promise you will be impressed with the new Athens Ford. I had two primary reasons for purchasing my truck from Athens Ford.1) Although I did not purchase my previous 2011 F-150 from them, their service department treated me like a long time customer.2) I have bought more than 30 automobiles from Christopher Ray's family over the years.I was not aware that he worked there, until one day I was in for service.It was like old times, Chris was so helpful. He understood my time limitations, as far as jumping the normal hoops, and time at the dealership.He helped me find the right truck for my needs, and he made all the necessary paper work and financing as simple as possible.As long as Christopher is with Athens Ford and he is available to assist me with purchasing, I will probably be an Athens Ford customer.For what it's worth, I think it would serve the dealership well to put an ad in our local newspaper, and even run some ads on local radio to let people know he's there. Elberton is an industrialist community and a lot of trucks go through this town.Chris could help Athens Ford bridge the gap between here and there. I live out of state and received the best price quote from Jeff Melton at Athens Ford. He has superior customer service and is a very honest person. The business of selling cars is benefited by his way of cutting a deal. Athens Ford is a professional dealership and they take great pride in guaranteeing that their customers are well taken care of and satisfied. If you're looking to buy a new or used Ford, Athens Ford dealership is the place to go. I found another 2012 Ford Flex Limited/Ecoboost, that had the Vista Roof, 2nd Row Refrigerator, and Auto Park Assist, which is wicked by the way, for a thousand dollars more locally and took the deal. They are extremely competitive in pricing and will not let you down. I can truly say that Athens Ford offered me the best Flex at the lowest price in the country but when I added in air fare and gas or delivery. Not to mention time. It made too much sense. I highly recommend Jeff Melton in sales. Anyone reading this should go in and buy their 2012 Ford Flex Limited Ecoboost from Jeff Melton.

I inquired about a car through the internet sales. A salesperson contacted me to come look at the car. Just before leaving to go to the dealership I checked the internet and the car was not pictured. I called him back. The car I inquired about was sold but he told me he had another one in my price range.I visited the dealership the following week and in his absence was assisted by Duke Chen, one of the nicest saleman I have delt with. He was friendly, helpful, and answered my questions. However the car was not in my price range (even after I increased my offer) This was frustrating b/c I spent the time to drive to the dealership, test drive the car, and meet inside with the salespeople. I also felt bad b/c it was a waste of Duke's time. He could have been assisting other customers. Understand that I am not your ideal customer. I have a budget for my car purchase, I will pay cash, I have no trade-in, and I am not willing to borrow more money. That does not leave the salesman room for manipulating or enhancing the buying experience. That is why I am upfront w/ my request of cost. After leaving the dealership without purchasing the car, I received a follow up call from Duke relaying the sales manager wanted to meet w/ me again. I said fine if he would accept my offer. He said no. My reply was no to returning b/c it is foolish to waste people's time when you know what you are willing to pay. If the "let me check w/ my sales manager" approach bothers you as a car shopper then you might want to think twice before shopping here. I later received another call from the first salesman that contacted me by phone leaving me under the impression that maybe the price could be adjusted to meet my offer. With excitement I waited on his return phone but that fell through. This was just another layer of frustration for me. As far as the price rating? The price was competative. But not in my price range. The salespeople seem to be nice but unfortunatly the overall experience was not the best.

Went in to the dealership with the intent of getting out of a car that i had a lot of negative equity on for a used car.... found out that in order for me to get out of the old car i would need to get into a new car. I never would have thought about a new car if these guys wouldnt have given me plenty of options. They worked their tails off to get me into a new car and for less of a monthly expense then i was expecting. These guys showed me what an amazing experience buying a new car could and should be.... and btw.... this is my first brand new car and i LOVE it! At nearly 60 years old, I am glad to say that this purchase experience was the best I've ever had in buying a car! Our sales representative, Derek Williams, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the vehicles we were looking at. He did not pressure us in any way and we became friends before we left. We settled on the new C-Max Hybrid and so far (2400 miles) love it! I never thought I would drive a Hybrid, but am very glad we bought this car. I was very impressed with the research and development that Ford Motor Company has put into this and other new models. I am also very appreciative that they did not participate in the automotive bailout. This was the primary reason we began looking at Ford products. Everyone at Athens Ford was very helpful. Shannon Strickland took care of our lease arrangements in an exceptional way. I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend Athens Ford and Derek Williams for your automotive needs!

I visited the dealership for service and decided to look at a new truck. After a test drive and a short conversation I expressed interest in the new vehicle but needed time to make a decision. I was not pressured to make a decision on the same day. A few days later I worked out a deal over the phone that was just what I had been looking for. The deal seemed good and I expected that once I made the trip back to the dealership, something would come up to change the deal. It just seemed to good to be true. I called Derek Williams to let him know that I was coming to pick up the truck and when I arrived the truck was already clean and gassed up. I was in and out of the dealership in no time and the deal was just as promised. I would recommend Derek Williams and Athens Ford to anyone looking for a great and honest deal.

I had a GREAT experience! I have shopped prices between Mall of Ga, Aikens (where my family has shopped for years, but no longer), Sandy Springs, and Gwinnett Ford before finding Athens Ford! Let me tell you, they are very personable, pleasant, and easy to deal with...they make the buying process very easy. It was a little bit of a drive for me to get there, but well worth it! I saved hundreds (in some of those other dealers cases thousands), and I get my first two years maintenance for free! I will definitely be sending my friends and family to see Mr. Williams and his manager Mr. Cloer in the sales department for all of their future needs....YOU GUYS ROCK! Oh, and I love my new F-150!!!

Great staff, great environment! I am just in the starting stages of buying a vehicle, and stopped by the lot. I spoke with Blake, and told him that I am looking to start a fleet for my business, and will be purchasing several vehicles at once; however I am not ready to buy just yet. Blake was very understanding and spent a substantial amount of time with me. He helped me figure out which vehicle will best suit our needs, and explained everything very thoroughly. I still have not purchased our vehicles yet, but I am 100% certain that when we do, we will be visiting Athens Ford and speaking with Blake again. He has done everything a great sales person SHOULD do--- He gave me all the information I needed, and has not once pressured me in to buying anything. This is exactly the reason why he has earned our business.
