I was trying to purchase a new truck. I also have disabled plates. I had chosen the vehicle, and was in the process of negotiating the details of the cost, when the manager began arguing abut the weight fee and whether it is applicable in my case. He said that I would have to pay it and then take it up with the DMV. I sent him the appropriate page from the DMV code. He finally admitted that they would remove it from the cost sheet. I also saw that they collected sales tax on not the final negotiated price, but on a higher price before the incentives are applied. I wanted to show him a quote from another dealer how the tax was calculated, but I never got the chance. He sold the vehicle to someone else out from under me. I would highly recommend that anyone buying a vehicle at this dealership, scrutinize every number on the cost breakdown. Better yet stay away from this place! To top it off, they never had the courtesy to call me to say that it was sold, even after they pestered me daily before it was sold.

My service rep was Ryan Alcombrack and he did a great job ensuring that a coupon that I had was applied for our service. They had never seen the coupon and honored it. He was very personable and professional. He also called to get a price for our cracked windshield which was helpful.The one thing that I would recommend and this is for the dealership, there were 5 people waiting and the TV wasn't on and there is no coffee made or anything complementary for the guests. Most dealersihp and good about this but this was one thing to work on.

While they did have my cars for days it was worth it. I took it in for me first oil change, tire rotation, and had a awful squeak in the back seat. Ryan drove my car with me in it so he could hear it and there wouldn't be any of the "we didn't hear it so we couldn't fix it" stuff. I have been very dissatisfied with the service department of Auburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for years and have found other means for repairs and service for my Jeep. Having recently purchased a newer Jeep at another dealership in town I was now faced with having to use Auburn Jeep again since the vehicle is still under warranty. What an awesome surprise that Lili Steele has joined the service dept. I worked with her for years when she was at another dealership to service our fleet vehicles. I now feel comfortable in her ability to insure my vehicle needs are met.

I started my journey to be a Charger Hellcat owner in Dec 2014 when I made a call to Tom Holst of Auburn Dodge. I knew and was told that it would be a long shot, but Tom was willing to work with me through the process. Three orders and 18 months and I am the very proud owner of a 2106 TorRed Dodge Charger Hellcat. This car brought tears to my eyes when I saw it. Tom and Auburn Dodge could have laughed at me like several other Dodge dealers did, but he hung in there and kept at it. I love my new Hellcat and will be back for service. It truly only took a few hours to sign all the paper work, pop a bottle of Champagne and drive home with a big smile on my face. Never a bit of pressure and they did everything they said they would do. Can't say enough about the positive experience I had.

I purchased a 2016 RAM 2500 from Auburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to replace my 2003 Chevy Silverado that just wasn't able to cope with Winter life in the Sierras. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership in the last year. Just like before, I used the Car Pro VIP program that introduced me this time to Tom Holst. The thing that I love about this dealership is that both buying experiences have started out as two guys sitting down spending the first 20 minutes just talking about cars. I was never "sold" anything and there was never any pressure to take a one time only bargain deal. I arrived with an idea of the model of vehicle I was looking for, the trim level I thought I needed, an idea of what I was going to do with it and a list of features ( must have / don't want / could go either way ). Their staff knows their products inside and out and have been very open about any issues I might encounter with a particular vehicle based on what I had planned to do. When it came time to test drive a vehicle, it was a perfect match - both times! The thing that puts Auburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram far above any other buying experience I've ever had was based on my previous purchase and reinforced this time too. How many "car salesmen" have told you "You know, I could sell you exactly what you said you wanted, but based on our conversation about what you need, lets go down one trim level, then add the features you want. It will save you a lot of money." Wow! That tells me that they have made a business decision to place customer service as the top priority. They are NOT in the business of just "moving metal".

I have dealt with this dealership for many years whether it be for service on my vehicles, advice on best avenue to take with a mechanical issue, recall replacement is smooth with no hassles, coordinating services with local tire shop or vehicle rental, complimentary transportation to work or vehicle rental shop, or to sell them my vehicle-even when I wasn't going to buy my next vehicle from them. After I bought my new vehicle, I took it to their service shop to have it checked out. I trust their judgment and advice, and I have never been disappointed. I began seeking their service as a single mom and it really gave me great peace. Most recently, and the reason I am writing this review, I took my vehicle in for an oil change and I met with Kevin in the Service Dept. While my car was being worked on, they noted a severe issue with my back tires and took me into the service area to show me. Obviously there was an alignment problem I had not been aware of. as metal was showing through the tread. I drive to Sacramento for work every day and this problem kept me from feeling safe to drive any further - I needed two new tires immediately and they coordinated with local tire company (Americas Tire) who got me in and out in 30 minutes so I wouldn't miss an appointment. I'd say that was above and beyond a normal service call! Auburn Dodge always comes through! Thank you!

James Helling was the service representative and he kept me inform of all the task the service department was conducting to identify the cause of a water leak in all the foot compartments of my Jeep Cherokee. It was not the sunroof but the plastic liners for the wheels arches. The carpet were sanitized and dried. James communicated with Chysler for new carpets to replace the existing carpets that are now on order. A rental car was provided for 5 days while the car leak was investigated and the carpet dried before being reinstalled.

as usual I was greeted and had my work order written up promptly, brian evans is my point of contact. the van was serviced, oil, tires, etc and I was out the door in no time. the staff in the facility are always smiling and busy. the restrooms are clean and neat. what more can I say until I may need a new vehicle and I will go there for sure as I bought my new van from them too.

This was my first time bringing my Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel to the Auburn Jeep dealership for service. I had a warrantee issue with my jeep that i had taken to multiple jeep dealers to get fixed, yet they never seemed to fix what was wrong. I spoke on the phone with John Delucia and i could immediately tell just from the phone conversation that he really cared about finding the root of the problem and fixing it, while making it as easy and stress free for me as possible. John also made a big effort to make time available as soon as possible, as the issue with my jeep was time sensitive. He was able to schedule an appointment for me 3 days later, which was fantastic. When i met him in person, he was incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and confident that they could resolve the ongoing issues id been having with my suv. He took great care of me, and my car, and he and his team finally fixed all of the issues i had been having. I cant thank John enough for all his help! After trying two different dealerships I went back on the computer and through the chat system and Magnussen's web located exactly what I was looking for. Called the dealer and verified the vehicle was availability. I was inform it was still available and it would be out front when upon my arrival. I was instructed to ask for Markus Becker. I was greeted upon arrival by Markus and the vehicle was in front as they said it would be. I looked at it and it was exactly what I was looking for and went straight in to negotiate the purchase. I was allowed more than anyone else on my trade in. Markus was exceptional and very professional. After coming into an agreement on price trade in and finance the process really accelerated. I was introduced to BG Gardner and we were done within 30 minutes. BG was also exceptional and knowledgeable with finance and additional warranty programs. It was a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend the Dealership, Sales Staff and Parts Department.

It took them an hour and a half tell me my fog light was missing which I told them from the beginning, took another hour and a half to tell me I have a bad ground and they can't finish working on it today, too come back another day, I will never take my vehicle back to Auburn. And I would never recommend taking your vehicle there if their technicians can't figure out a bulbs messing with in the first 10 minutes they have major issues they must have got their degree online:(

This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased in the last several years from Magnussen's. All of the experiences we have had in the past have been excellent. This latest purchase in June 2015 once again was excellent. After traveling to Reno to look at a used Jeep from a private party and stopping at a local Reno dealer as well as searching on line, we decided since we had such a good experience we would stop by locally in Auburn before heading down hill. We were greeted by Jeremy Lograsso, a young personable guy. We told him what we were looking for and immediately he said "you have got to see this Jeep we recently got in". He drove it down from the above lot, and immediately we saw it was the correct color, and had the 2012 engine. We purchased the vehicle and did not have to hassle with the usual high pressure. We did bring it back to have it detailed and detoxed, and Sean Bouthillier did an excellent job of making sure our expectations were met.

My husband found my car on autotrader.com. I contacted the dealer through their online chat feature. All my questions were answered and we went the next day (90+ miles away one way!) to test drive my car. When we got there, everyone greeted us with a "hello" and "how can I help you". I had an appointment with Jennifer Patton to have my husband drive the car. I had already driven a similar one. Jennifer took him on the drive and when they got back, she helped us get a great price and trade in for my old beast. Jennifer is friendly, personable, and knows her stuff. Recently had a message on my dash to service my transmission. I popped in and on two different occasions John Delucia and Robert Towe came out to the Jeep and checked to see if there was a code for a problem. There wasn't but on the second go around, there was an update for the computer, so Robert scheduled an appt. quick and painless! Super service, nice atmosphere. Not the "typical" car dealership feel! Being a single woman I absolutely hate the idea of car shopping. I had met with a few other dealers and brought my boy friend along just in case I needed his advise or expertise. Even though I told them I was buying the car, they totally left me out of conversations and focused on him. I then decided to contact Magnussen on line to try and alleviate some of the hassel. Marcus answered my email right away, gave me the information that I sought and we set up a time to meet. I took my boyfriend along, but ended up not needing him at all! What a relief! Had service work done here, Sean Bouthillier in the service department was great from beginning to end. We talked on the phone first, he ordered the replacement part, kept me informed on the progress of delivery of the part, then called and scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. I also purchased my 2014 Ram 3500 from them and they are great to deal with in all departments and can definitely service what they sell.

So we bought a used car and with a week started hearing a concerning noise I'm 9 months pregnant and need a reliable vehicle. I called and spoke with John Delucia he said bring it in and we'll take care of it! We had to leave it over night because they needed to order a part but they were extremely friendly and helpful. Turns out it was the back breaks and they replaced them at no charge. We drove home and no noise! About 4 days later the noise came back and I was back on the phone with John Delucia and he took care of it again at no charge to us. I was so please at the extra lengths they went to, to ease my pregnant mind and send me on my way in a safe vehicle for my expecting bundle of joy!

I was looking for a Ram 1500 and had contacted multiple dealers for pricing. This dealership had come the closest to the price I found in Idaho and I was willing to pay the (fairly small) difference in order to save myself the trip from Nevada to Idaho. Kevin Hyland had sent over info on a 2015 Ram and agreed to a price on that over the phone. I had decided to go with a 2014 instead and they did a dealer trade to get the 2014 in the color I wanted. I was going to go with my own financing in Nevada and Kevin refused to provide my lender with an unsigned purchase order or guarantee of title (neither of which would have committed either the dealership or myself until we actually made the deal) and instead just told me that his financing would beat the rates of my lender (mine was 2.79% and theirs was 3.99% btw). When we got down to the dealership, Kevin was rude, very passive aggressive, and showed us the 2014 that did not have the same options as I had wanted initially, like the rear axle ratio. Kevin said this was my fault as a consumer (to be fair, he had sent over the info sheet on the 2014). We made an offer on the 2015 instead, since it had the options I wanted, and Kevin wouldn't honor the amount he had agreed to previously. We ended up leaving very dissatisfied with Kevin's sarcastic blessing and I will never return to this dealership. I ended up buying in Reno from an excellent sales team and am very happy with my purchase.

I didn't feel the weight of a sales person trying to push me into something I didn't want or need, but was given a wide range of options while buying my truck. I get my oil changed for my 2012 Fiat at Magnussen's Doge always. Brian Evans is wonderful and always takes such good care of me! Service visits at car dealers can be very hit or miss, in my experience. If the service advisor is more attuned to how his/her day is going than how you service experience will turn out, it might be a long day. Brian Evans has handled the past two services on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Each time has been a good experience. He listens, doesn't act as though the customer's view of what is happening with the vehicle is suspect and he follows through with what he says he will do. 5 stars easily.

We drove 3 hours to purchase our Durango at this dealership. The process was easier and less hassle than our local dealership. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout the whole process. They greeted us in the parking lot as we pulled in and basically handed us the keys to our new vehicle. As we were test driving our new vehicle they were assessing our trade in. They gave us an excellent trade in value on our vehicle. Our new vehicle was emmaculate as it had been detailed in and out and filled with fuel. The painful part of paperwork was even painless. Again they were efficient in all facets of the process. I would travel there again without reservation to purchase another vehicle. Kevin Hyland was the friendliest car salesman we have ever dealt with. He was honest and sincere in his dealings and that is a rare trait, especially among car salesman. Thank you for a great experience, especially Tom Holst. We had purchased a Ram 1500 a year ago as we moved onto some property. After a year we realized we needed a HD for towing our horses, heavy equipment and for the payload. We first went to Folsom Lake Dodge where we purchased the 1500 and were met with every excuse from the multiple sales and finance people as to why the deal was not possible. We then contacted Tom at Magnussen's and told him what we needed. Through just a few emails we had the trade-in and payment set. After that we went to the dealership and met Tom who had everything in place to turn in our 1500 and get our new 2500. We were in and out in about an hour. Thanks again for an awesome experience.

I have to say that overall Magnussen Auburn Dodge is a great place. There was a problem with our new Durango but the top people got involved and made our dream car come true. After two unsuccessful trips to Chico seeing the "specialists" in an attempt to have the sliding door (passenger side) repaired I went to Auburn Dodge. The door would only open manually which didn't do me any good since I use a wheelchair. After three trips to Auburn, a new door module, a new body control, and hundreds of $$$ it was still not repaired. I finally went to Mobility Works in Sacramento who finally found the problem. Turns out it was only a broken wire underneath the panel behind the side door on the driver's side! Needless to say, I doubt very much if any of the parts that were replaced even needed replacing. I will NOT return.

I received quick service on the repairs needed to my 2014 Grand Cherokee when the service light came on my dash. A rental vehicle was ready and waiting for me when I dropped off my vehicle for the needed repairs and I didn't loose any time in my daily routine due to having to wait for a replacement vehicle while mine was being serviced. Within an hour Brian Evans at my Jeep Dealer called me to let me know what the problem was with my Jeep and how long it was going to take to fix it, he also arranged for me to have the replacement vehicle an additional day to cover the time of repairs for my vehicle. I am extremely happy with the service I have received from this dealer.

I brought my 07 ram 3500 in for an egr problem. It currently is still not fixed but it is no fault to mag dodge. I've been going to mag dodge for as long as I can remember. I know they are working to resolve the problem with my truck as we speak. Bryan Evans (the service advisor I've been dealing with) is awesome. He's doing a great job!!!!!!!!!! I brought my car in to have a tire fixed which had a screw lodged in it. When I arrived, I went to John Delucia, who always greets me with a smile and is very friendly. He wrote my service request up promptly and noted any other issues I had. My tire was fixed, along with the rotation of my steering wheel cover (I wanted the 'seam' to be at the bottom of the steering wheel, and it had originally been placed at the top.) which I had just recently purchased. Overall, I am very happy to work with John and everyone there at Magnussen's. Everyone treats me in a very professional and courteous manner. And I have confidence that the work will be done efficiently, accurately and timely.

I was looking at buying a new car and after test driving many cars from a sports car to luxury SUV's, we said lets check out that new Grand Cherokee Jeep. With Sam in the back seat we test drove the Jeep and I was impressed!! this Jeep is Luxury and off road all in one, with all the latest electronics possible. This was a return warranty trip to have a heating element in a seat repaired. Joseph vasquez was very effective in standing up for us and getting the repair taken care of under warranty. I have seen a few negative reviews on this site and I do not understand them. We got the best price in northern california on a 2013 jeep wrangler unlimited that was specifically ordered for us by magnussens. Throughout the process we talked to most of the sales staff and all were more than willing to go what we felt was the extra mile for us. Driving around in our jeep these days I find myself laughing at other people driving around in jeeps with license plate frames showing that they made their purchase from elk grove or folsom. We were in both of these show rooms. The sales policies of these dealers entail tricks and half truths as well as an unwillingness to deal. Having experienced many dealers during our buying experience there is only one chrysler product dealer in the sacramento area that anyone needs to see, magnussens.

We had the pleasure of dealing with Markus. He was awesome to deal with! We found the truck listed on Cars.com and fell in love, immediately placed a call to see if it was still available. Markus said it was but had a lot of others interested in it as well. We knew we needed to move fast on this if we wanted it! Markus dealt with us back and forth on the phone all day. In the end, he made the offer to deliver our new truck and pick up our trade-in. The papers were ready to go, everything was so incredibly easy for us! I would definitely send others to them and will remember them in the future as well.

When purchasing my vehicle I was rushed through. I was promised some things that I never received. While negotiating I had the salesman go back to finance to change come numbers around on the payoff. I clearly stated the amount he told me it did not matter they would pay off the vehicle regardless. I still demanded he change it. Two hours later we were rushed through finance and did not realize it was not changed. Now they are calling requesting money I don't have. I went in and spoke with the salesman and he said he would speak to someone and try to help me out. He never did. He also asked my husband to give him a pack of cigarettes. They don't appreciate their customers and are not professional. They made money off my trade in and the new vehicle and the warranty they sold us. And they are not willing to negotiate on a mistake they made. My next purchase and maintenance will not be at this dealership.

On March 9th 2012 I purchased a new Dodge Ra 3500 mege cab diesel pickup. The salesman was Sam Alongi. The entire experience from introduction and test drive wasvery smoothly handled including the closing of the deal. The nest day I returned to have the aftermarket tires and wheels exchanged for the original tires. This was also handled very professionally and quicklly.

Purchased my 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 in January 2005. I have had it exclusevely serviced at Magnussen's as they take 10% off of parts for those who purchase their vehicles from Magnussens.I also purchased the extended service warranty which Magnussen's disclosed would be bought back at the end of the policy term if I had not used the policy. That was an $1,885 purchase.Since I bought the truck, I've had two recalls which were minor repairs and recently encountered a front differential oil seal leak that was covered under the original warranty. Magnussen's fixed that and charged a $100 deductible. Two months later the seal leaked again and Magnussen's fixed it at no charge to me. Three months later the seal failed again, but my truck was out of warranty. "Joe" the service writer diagnosed the continuing problem as being caused by a deformed part in the differential. He offered to fix the truck for free and was very courteous.I have experienced no major problems with my truck and Magnussen's has exclusively done the oil changes and major service. I check their website for coupons and have found that if I don't mention them they will tell me what's currently featured and discount my service to the coupon price. I appreciate their willingness to be honest and upfront.Upon my claim for reimbursement of my extended policy I found out (in this economy) that the insurance company underwriting the policy went out of business. To their credit, Magnussen's offered and stood by the policy and a rebate check will be forthcoming.There are a couple of negative postings on this review site. I can't imagine how a dissatisfied customer couldn't find a resolution to avoid positing a negative comment.Never, have I found anyone in seven years of visits to Magnussen's to be discourteous, attempting to do the "side step" on an issue or be unapproachable.I appreciate that my truck is washed and returned clean to me after service and I will continue driving the 50 miles to Auburn to have Magnussen's exclusively service my truck.Hope this is helpful. You have to ask yourself how an unhappy customer couldn't address a complaint and whether their expectations might have been seeking something more than they were entitled too. I'm just miffed by the negatives and have seen many longtime customers in the service waiting room getting both good and bad service news on their vehicles, but never upset, or taken advantage of.

Very nice but was pressured like any dealership. In the End they found and got the truck I wanted. The service department put on running boards, blue tooth and back up sensors. When I picked it up they just said keyes are in the truck. They did not instruct me on how to use the products or how they worked. Figured it out on my own. Got a very good deal and would reccomend them to some one who knows what they want.

The issues that I have with the vehicle, to this day, haven't been resolved. after two weeks and a few thousand dollars, they still couldn't fix the mechanical problems, and I was told "We are done, don't bring it back." THE GOOD NEWS... Mike crabb, vic, jeff, and a bunch of other duders got FIRED!!! The GENERAL MANAGER!! that makes like 3 GM's fired for bad deals. What does that tell you about Magnussens Dodge. after 75000 I noticed unusual tire wear and a pull to the right. 06 ram 2500 4x4 diesel. my trusted shop,linville, showed me ball joint play. Vic and his head mechanic at magnussen assured me "there all like that and took me to where a truck was being worked on and showed me similar play. After educating myself about dodge and "death wobble" ball joint play concerned me. I paid for a 5yr 100,000 mile extended warranty and am thankful. After asking for a printout of the ball joint runout, magically I got new ball joints.And all my other concerns were met right down to a weak seat belt. I was so happy I bought a c note of pizza for the people who got a new drivers seat belt, steering gear box, front pinion seal, power outlet, two rear leaf springs and the upper ball joints for me. my joy was short lived...I had put over two hundred miles on new tires I bought the same day I took my truck to linville, and still had two thirds of the" titties" left on them. When I got my truck 9 days later the 4 miles they put on took all traces of new away from my tires. Within 6 hours an engine component began to rattle and then bang and has since stopped working. One leaf spring was broken, ya they installed a broken leaf spring. and there was grease on drivers seat. Im sorry if I wish to use Roseville or somewhere else but? Vic the service manager, wont allow it. He says we need your business. This is where it stands. I will never let my truck near his lot ever....He could release my truck to Roseville but refuses based on his need for my business. If Bernard Magnussen approves of this guy he should read this and other reviews stacking up against his company.

By Linda - Aug. 25,2010 Bought a 2004 Jeep 1 1/2 month ago, had it checked out by two other shops. Findings are rearend noise and front end pulling hard to the right, I was told nothing wrong with the rearend i was told bad bearings by the another shop, and the frontend was out of spec for the the (caster) right min/max SB 3.4/4.4 when checked by another shop (caster)is at 0.45. They ran the same report and said all numbers are in spec. have a warranty and they never take responseablity for any thing. I was told that never take my car to any other shop cause they are all no good, no matter who they are.Oh and the Salesman Sam the man, he talks behind his boss's back when making deals he can't keep and when asked on the rearend noise, because he test drove the car with me, he totally had memory loss, when i just bought the car two weeks prior, he remembered me, but not the noise. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANYTHING, they treat there customers very poorly all said and done I walked away crying and still my car not fixed. I agree with two other customers. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH AND THE CAR FAX, DON'T BELEIVE WHAT YOU READ ON IT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

many problems, poor contract. rewritten with anti theft which vehicle doesn't have, warranty taken out. vehicle has many problems. when i contacted the dealership about the problems, I never, to this day, received a call back or a reply. 1 out of 10!
