I've purchased 2 cars from Auto Outpost North in the last 3 years. I had visited other dealerships and some were a complete nightmare; they would play with numbers trying to confuse the customer and ultimately wear them down. Auto Outpost was straight forward, no numbers game. The salesmen are professional. The owner greets customers and asks if the salesman treated them right. It's a small lot and office so you are not paying for a large showroom and a bunch of unnecessary amenities. I had a couple of minor issues with the cars and it was taken care of pretty quick. They are about an hour from my house, but it was worth the trip. I would still recommend checking the cars thoroughly, make sure any repairs were completed. Basically, when searching for a new car I will definitely go back to Auto Outpost. Very good experience.

Recently went there 5/27/16 to check out and possibly buy a 2005 mini cooper s. After talking to them a couple of times on the phone and checking out the photos i was told the mini had no issues and was ready to go. I took a 2 hour drive down there to check it out and when I got there the mini was far from perfect. The car has large paint chips covered up by one of there stickers, e-brake leather was torn out, missing other interior pieces, shifter had a large amount of play in it and very sloppy, needless to say I wasn't happy with the condition the mini was in. The owners themselves are not knowledgeable about the cars they're selling either telling me the car was a turbo-charged engine, what it's not. The dealership has no idea whats going on and the pictures of the car are very misleading. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car from these people. Complete waste of my time.

Not good customer service went in to buy a truck grant it was close to closing time it felt like I was pushed the door and told to come back tomorrow had financing already approved so i set up an appointment 2 days later because of work come to find out they already sold the vehicle I asked the salesman what happened to the truck he said it was sold and just walked away

I dealt with Joe the owner. He was cool I thought. The suv I bought was cheaper from him than any where else that I could find. The vehicle has been running fine and has pulled my boat the first weekend I bought it . The vehicle had 1 small issue but I believe if I would have showed it to Joe he would have taken care of it. I thought Joe was pretty knowledgeable. The vehicle has not had any major issues and was a good clean used suv so far at a better price than any other d3ealer. Joe let me drive what ever I wanted to see what I liked.

All the vehicles are clean and in above average condition. Tom was excellent to work with. We are very happy with our purchase. I tend to be leery of small dealers but I feel this dealership has quality cars for the price.

I am very happy with the car that I purchased. It has been running beautifully with no mechanical issues. There was a cosmetic issue, but the cost to repair it was less than the warranty would have cost, and it was a common issue with my specific model, so it was no big deal. The purchase went smoothly in June, when I purchased it. The salesmen were friendly and were willing to fix any problems on a vehicle before selling it. I had asked Tom about a questionable statement in the ad and whether or not the vehicle I wanted to purchase had anti-lock brakes. I did not ask my mechanic to verify this information before I bought the vehicle, but it was discovered after the purchase that, in fact, it did NOT have anti-lock brakes. I purchased the vehicle as-is, so I know that I cannot do anything about it. However, I thought I would mention it. I still love the car. It has been over two months, and after calling the dealer 3 times, I finally received a copy of the Application for Vehicle Transactions for the IL Secretary of State. The paperwork did not get done within a reasonable amount of time. The plates that I transferred will expire at the end of the month. If I do not get my sticker before then, I cannot legally drive my car to work. I may need to take time off work to get the sticker, or I may need to rent a car, and it is all thanks to Auto Outpost. If you chose to purchase a vehicle from this dealer, I recommend that you have the vehicle inspected for all parts and features as mentioned in their ad. If there is any question about a statement on their ad, get it in writing. Additionally, follow up with the dealer shortly after the purchase. Do not trust that they will get the paperwork done immediately after the sale.

*Great selection of vehicles from make, model, years to mileage. Very Clean!!! *Dog friendly, welcomed me and my dog with no issues - offered water and snacks! woof! *Tom was awesome to work with, very well versed in vehicles available for sale (recent services records), very though, constant contact without being overbearing. *Joe very friendly, made the deal very smooth. WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!
