Matt, Josh, Chris and team are great to work with. Top notch when it comes to sales and consignment of unique cars. Matt has now sold two of my cars and brought top dollar. Mechanic Chris is factory Porsche trained and great to work with as well. Highly recommend!

Had Matt and Aimee sell my Porsche for me. Trailered car to Portland. Had friends ask me if I was nervous about leaving them with my car. I was until I met them, toured the shop, met the staff, and shared espresso and talked about our kids. These guys exceeded my expectations in every way and DID exactly what was agreed to, most importantly sold my car for significantly more than I could have. The sales price more than covered the fees. Was promptly paid. What else could you ask for? My highest recommendation

This owner Matt Crandall wasted my time and money. I ended up taking my car to them and having them do the restoration work only to have them try and tell me it’s 6,000$ more than the original quote and they did the work without telling me so now I have no choice but to pay it or they say they will keep my car. I’m infuriated and considering calling law enforcement. Would not suggest this shop for any work.

I first met Matt and the Avant-Garde Collection crew about two years ago, when I moved to Portland and needed a local mechanic for my Porsches. Before I had the opportunity to take a car in for service, AGC agreed to help my friend and I finish and prep a moderate "build" for a car that we were to run at a rally event in Baja California. After the event, we consigned the car to AGC for them to sell for us on BaT. This entire project and process were a great way to get to know Matt and Josh and everyone else at AGC, and it was an extremely positive experience. Since that time, I have taken 4 different cars to AGC, for services ranging from oil changes (my wife's Boxster) to insurance work (damaged strut and wheels--also on the Boxster), to a full engine and transmission rebuild on my 1973 Porsche 911 hot rod, with other various minor and major services on multiple cars in between. AGC has even helped me with some small mods on my Ford Fiesta ST. I can confidently recommend AGC as a business that operates with integrity and transparency, with consistent communication (which is not a given in the industry), and a commitment to doing quality work at reasonable prices. I hope that my positive experiences with both the sales and service sides of the business are helpful to potential patrons. I will continue to give my business to the AGC team, and am grateful to know them and have them as a resource here in Portland.
