Dealing with Galen and Brian was easy and the cars they have are super nice. Took me almost 4 weeks to find the car I wanted that was worth a darn.

Paid 7k cash in Oct 2020 for a 2010 Subaru Forester XT w/ 148k miles that would be my 16yo son's first car. Car test drove fine and was very clean inside and out. The oil had also been changed recently according to the windshield sticker on the day of purchase. I had the first oil change at 150k miles in 2/2021. Eight months later and 2300 miles into the first oil change, the engine threw a rod. According to the repair shop, the vehicle had multiple underlying problems. Total cost of repairs, $9k. Dont be fooled by the clean interior/exterior of these vehicles or by the test drive. Have the vehicle thoroughly inspected prior to purchase. I would have, but the owner's son said my mechanic was too far away for me to drive the vehicle to. I should have found someone local to inspect the vehicle. Lesson learned. The worst part is I split the cost with my 16 year old son and he worked very hard to earn his $3500 for a car that is now worth about 1k. Thanks Barclay Motor Company, that is the last vehicle that we will purchase from you
