I took my 2021 GMC truck in to have a lift kit installed. I explain that I had someone install a leveling kit that included new shocks on the front. I dropped my truck off that morning and picked it up that afternoon. After I picked my truck back up from the dealer I noticed my truck was not aligned. I also noticed a noise in the front end when I drove across rough areas in the road. The dealer told me to bring it back and they would make it right. I took the truck back the next day and they aligned the front end and could not find anything that caused the noise in the front end. I drove the truck a day or two and took it back for them to recheck it. They claimed that they would have another specialist look at it. After another visit they claimed that they still could not find any issues. I then asked for the original parts to be put back on and they said that they would have to charge me for the labor to do it. At this point the manager drove my truck and noticed the noise. He had the truck put on the rack and found the issue. They claimed that they needed the original shocks and that have the shocks from the leveling kit was the issue. I brought the original shocks the next day and they installed them. They told me that I would have to pay for the labor and that it was not their fault for not knowing that they needed the factory shocks. I talked with the manger and owner and they agreed it was not their responsibility and made mention that " Oh this is the truck that was purchased at Howard Bentley and not here ". I asked them what did that have to do with anything since I was paying for a service and their reply was it has a lot to do with it " We put our customers first ". Maybe I am old school but where I come from anyone who spends money with me is a valued customer. I will share my story with everyone I can. And as if that was not enough, the owner asked me twice how was I planning on paying for the extra labor. He said he thought that I was going to leave without paying. My reply was I was going to pay the same way I paid him the $2,300.00 the first time. A nightmare experience and hours of my time waiting on my truck. I guess there is no value on my time and I still have a noise in the front end.

Awesome ! I rolled in from out of town and the service writer once again was awesome. I also got to meet the service manager. The issue was diagnosed and the problem solved and I was back on the road. I am a loyal GMC customer and after the great experience my next truck will also be a GMC Shout Out to Barkley GMC !

The main reason for me buying the car is the car salesman Ike. He was always so kind and respectful during the whole entire process. I felt very comfortable around everyone and didn't feel like there were any lies compared to other dealerships.

My 2018 GMC 1500 truck battery went bad over the weekend and service advisor Mike Dunn was able to work me in their busy Monday schedule. I was only there 45min from start to finish. I left with a new battery and a truckload of gratitude for the help I received that day. I'm proud to be a part of the Barkley Family!

I use Barkley dealership for many years on all three of my cars for regular schedule oil changes and other minor service work. The best thing I can say about the service department is that you never get surprises. They give you details about anything wrong with the car and a price to fix it. Not only was our salesperson nice, but everyone there was very nice and helpful. Different salespeople were coming by and checking to see if we needed anything from water, to giving us the number of their fax and bringing us the information when it arrived. It was a hot day when we dropped by the dealership a little afternoon, after telling the salesperson what type of auto we were interested in, he went out to the lot and came back with one that was cooled off and drove us around the lot to look at the different cars and colors they had in stock. Also, another thing that impressed me about our salesperson, he sit down in the car with me and went over all the electronics, programmed my phone and phone numbers into the system so I could make hand free calls from the steering wheel. You could not have ask for anyone to be any nicer than everyone there at the Barkley Dealership.

I am a widow and last year was looking to get an SUV so it would be easier to get in and out of as I have RA and some days it is painful to get into a small car. I was assisted with my purchase by Ada and anytime I have called with a question she has graciously answered it for me. When I take my GMC Terrain in for service, they treat you like you are their only customer and they don't tack on unnecessary repairs that are not needed. I drive 45 miles to get there and 45 miles home. If you need a car, go to Barkley GMC for great customer care and service.

Moved to Tuscaloosa about a year ago. We needed a new vehicle and had decided on what we wanted. I did my research and pricing on the internet and by visiting different dealers. The only difference in the vehicles is the color. Now Barkley made the sale, has got my service needs and a loyal customer. Great and easy purchasing experience. I leased a new 2012 Cadillac CTS from salesman Joel Davidson. I made email inquiries for the same 2 option packages to 6 different dealers, and Joel gave me the lowest quotes on both. He beat some dealers by almost $100/mo. He worked with me in every way I asked him to, and did not wast a moment of my time. He gets first shot at my next lease or purchase, too! The easiest car deal I have ever been involved in, and I have bought or leased quite a few in 51 years!

I recommend Barkley for the following reasons: 1. When I go there for service, I am always receive a friendly greeting; 2. I am told on the front end what is needed, what the intend to do, and what it will cost. 3. I am invited to a comfortable waiting area...with rest room, coffee, place to sit and read 4. I am told when the work is expected to be completed 5. Personnel always do what they say they are going to do, and when they will complete the job 6. As a senior citizen, I always feel "safe" in my car after it is serviced at Barkley.

I was interested in purchasing the 2012 Buick Verano so I emailed the dealership and told them what I was looking for and the price I wanted to pay. When I arrived to look at the car, it was ready to drive, and there was no "hard sell" experience. Was extremely pleased with the process, the price and the quality of the car.
