Yes, Basney BMW saved our old and tired 2008 BMW 535xiT yet again after it was towed in with engine light and transmission warning lights on. Sometimes I wish they wouldn't be so good at resurrecting this car so my husband would just get a new one! They diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be a crankshaft sensor, replaced it, did the usual maintenance on the car and my husband's car is back on the road again! This car has had at least nine lives maybe more, and Basney is too good at fixing it! All in all, another great experience at Basney! Their service department is the best! I just wish at some point they would refer us to the sales department!

Driving from Illinois to Michigan and had an engine malfunction alert. Found Basney who took the car in and provided a courtesy car to allow us to complete our trip about an hour away. Car was repaired within 4 hours new fuel pump. Greg Perz was responsible and profession able and made our experience awesome.

We had the unfortunate thing of a damaged rear door on the passenger side of our 2008 BMW 535xiT. The car was repaired and finished on the date promised and what a awesome repair! It looks brand new, no issues closing the door and the color match is top notch! At the same time, I had to have a service indicator reset on my i3 and a full charge to get back home. They were not sure if they would have a loaner car if we needed it and when we arrived, Jason DelGuanto surprised us with a loaner if we needed it. As it turned out, we did not need it as we drove my husband's car while mine was charging for no cost to me. Thank you Basney! I got home and still had 10 miles left on the battery that was 75% charged! Jason is a very hard worker and the whole dealership aims to please! Couldn't be happier! Thanks so much for the great service!

We took our i3 in for service when we had two incidences of the car slamming on the brakes while on cruise when nothing was in front of us or around us. It registered on my I remote app and then disappeared. When we got there, we found out we also had a recall on engine bolts needing replaced. We were not aware of the recall as we have never been contacted about the recall yet. This was our i3's first service. They also updated the software in the vehicle and changed the oil in the Rex which saved us another trip back to the dealer when the car was calling for service in August of this year. Greg Perez gave us a beautiful 535d XDrive as a loaner while we had ours serviced. What a sweet car! They had our vehicle charged up and ready to go a few minutes after we got back and we were on our way home. I highly recommend this dealership! Very nice people to deal with and very friendly! Thanks so much!

Basney did all they could. My windows, sunroof and trunk open apparently by key's buttons rubbing against wallet, phone, coins. Even the loaner BMW that I was using had the trunk open while I was away from the car. The key needs to be redesigned with perhaps a lid feature so that the buttons will not be accidentally pressed while in the pocket. I had problem with the hood and I called for appointment, my service advisor, Dean, got me in right away.Dean and his service team handled the issue professionally.BTW, I bought my 535i from another dealer, but not knowing the service history, Dean went thouroughly with me to get it up to date and future maintenance service. The check engine light came on in my 3 series. The first time in I was informed that it was a computer problem and all was reset. As I left the shop the light came back on. The service manager tended to the problem quickly and it was determined that a part needed to be replaced. I brought the car back, was given a loaner, and all was taken care of with immediate notification and quick response when I returned to get my now fixed issue.

My Mazda CX 9 suffered a failed transfer case which was covered by Mazda's special extended warranty. However, the transfer case caused Irreparable damage to the transmission. This was not covered by Mazda's warranty. Kevin appealed to Mazda's rep and convinced them to cover the cost of the new transmission, saving me almost $5,000. This is the fourth top for my husband and my CPO 2011 Miata (we have 2). All the others were warranty but Basney Mazda and Corporate Mazda came through big time and replaced the former vinyl top to a more expensive and nicer cloth top!! The copay was picked up by Mazda I believe but Basney Mazda BMW step up as well!

Our salesman gave us information that we later found out was completely untrue.First, he told us that there were no improvements between the 2014 and 2015 models of the car we were considering. We had researched the 2015 model and knew it had the features we wanted. We took his word that the 2014 model was the same. We later found that there had been a very substantial change between models.Second, when considering the car we noticed it had no spare tire. We asked about this. We were told that it did not need a spare because it had run-flat tires. When I got a flat tire two months later, I discovered that it did not have run-flat tires. Since it also did not have a spare, I had to get it towed. We contacted Basney BMW about these concerns. They have opted to ignore us. The salesman lied about the car and now the dealership don't even have the decency to apologize.

Ok, pay attention to this. I did not buy my BMW from Basney...but they treat me like I did. That is huge. That creates brand loyalty. I bought my car on a whim. The opportunity was right and I picked it up on impulse. The way I get treated at Basney is how I want to be treated for every vehicle I own. On paper, there are many good reason why I should not buy a BMW or from Basney. 1. They are out of state. 2. BMW is a luxury brand so taxes and insurance are higher. 3. BMW is not made in the USA. 4. Foreign cars are more expensive to repair. 5. All of the other stuff that people say.... All of that gets wiped away and forgotten because of the service department. You cant put a price tag on how you feel and the confidence you have in people's integrity and a business's ethics.

When I found out they go to the license branch for you and transfer your plates I was very impressed. (And thrilled I didn't have to do it!) They also called my insurance agent and gave him all the appropriate information. Its little things like that that set a dealership apart from the rest. Additionally, Ken spent ample time with me going over every detail and option in my new BMW and made sure I was fully satisfied with my purchase. He even sent me an email a couple of days later to see if I needed anything. I would highly recommend these guys and I will definately be back.

I recently purchased a used car from this dealer. Everyone was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The car I bought was great and when I brought it in for service work they staff went above and beyond. The only negative thing is the sales manager Chris. He was very unpleasant and condescending. He also didn't seem to know his fact about several cars that a person in his position should. The sales men under him were easy to work with and very friendly and knowledgeable. I would defiantly buy a new car from here, but watch out for the sales manager

This is my 2nd 3-series and the service has always been the best. I dropped my coupe off Sun. and by 8:30 a.m. had a service appraisal via email. Justin has replaced Ray well and responded to my phone call. I had my car back by 2 p.m. with all repairs complete and the car washed. Always impeccable service.

Basney was so professional. The experience was very pleasant. They made me the appointment for a week out. They ordered the airbag replacement so that when I arrived at my appointed time I was in and out in an hour. They also fixed another recall on my BMW that I had forgotten about. They made me feel so confident that everything would work perfectly now. The Customer Service person was so friendly and made my experience excellent. The waiting room is such a great place to hang out. The apples were so healthy and tasted good.

My wife and I agreed, We have never had such a pleasant experience buying a car as we did with Basney BMW and Joe. We drove 3 hours, from Woodstock, IL to buy a new BMW and would do it again. Our first contact was via internet. Correspondence, reply times and follow-up were right on. When I first talked with Joe Norton on the phone, he was personable and professional. We arranged the financing and all the paperwork prior to our arrival so there would be no Glitches. In one area where our bank stumbled, Joe took the lead via a 3 way phone call. It was resolved on that one call and in minutes.On our arrival, the paperwork was prepared and ready to be signed. We received a car with more options at a lower price than our local dealer from whom we had bought our trade-in. The only uncertainty that needed to be resolved was the value of our trade-in. Joe and Basney BMW gave us more for our trade-in than that other dealer. They made it well worth the drive. Chris, Ken and the entire staff made us feel welcome. When we asked to view the car, with the flick of his wrist, Joe unveiled the new BMW X1 that was hidden in plain sight under a cover on the showroom floor that we had been walking around but never peaked under. The presentation of the Beemer was with all the pomp and circumstance of the Price Is Right. The only thing missing was Bob Barker shouting, A NEEEEEWWWWW CAR as the cover came off! My wife was floored and all smiles. I loved it.Joe went through the Owners manual with us and pointed out many details we didnt know about. He spent as much time in the car as he did at his desk. We felt very comfortable during our 3 hour drive home as we explored all the toys and buttons. And Im going to tell you a secret that Joe didnt even know. I sold new cars for a few years and Ill tell you what, Id be proud to work with Joe and Basney BMW. My car was parked inside the showroom when I arrived. All detailed and everything I asked done was ready. I am an inspector by trade and have a keen eye for imperfections. I noticed a small, very small abrasion on the rear bumper. Probably from delivery in my estimation. I have also worked in an auto plant. Before I could even point it out, my sales rep. showed me a paper where they had already placed on order a whole new bumper to replace the small damage on the existing one. I met everyone in the showroom and shop who were involved in the process. My new X1 is an incredible vehicle and I am very happy with the way I was treated in my experience.

Our initial trip to Basney BMW was most enjoyable. Greg Prez and Mike Waterbury were both friendly, cordial, and helpful. The Series 3 2012 loaner permitted us to shop in town while the car was serviced. Explanations of parts/labor and cost estimates of the service needed and time required were very fair. Our car was cleaned up and ready when promised, even with completion of a recent recall. The 2010 Series 3 is our first Beemer and we love it. We are most appreciative for their professional approach with "no pressure". Thanks for your service. You will see more of us in the future.

If you are looking for a dealer where arrogance and indifference are guiding principles of their corporate culture, look no further than Basney BMW. I have owned 5 new BMWs since 2000 and not purchased a single one from Basney. Instead I drive 3 hours south to Indianapolis to buy my cars. Why? Because Basney simple isnt interested in selling cars, or maybe more specifically, working with a buyer under the age of 40. With every purchase but the last two Ive TRIED to give Basney a shot, but have been met with incompetent sales people, a lack of interest, phone calls that were never returned, a very limited inventory to even LOOK at vehicles that interest me, and a general indifferent attitude that my sale or satisfaction is not important to them. Incredibly, on two occasions upon walking into the showroom to start shopping for a new car, I was told Id have to make an appointment to see a salesman and come back later. I didnt know it was necessary to make an APPOINTMENT to buy a $50,000 car, especially with no one else in the showroom but me! One would think sales people would be hungry to sell cars, especially with a qualified buyer (I pulled up in my current 2 year old BMW) who is ready to buy in a sagging market. Another time I pulled up to their showroom (again in my own BMW) just after close to look at a new model on the lot that I was considering, and someone from inside called the POLICE who came to the dealership, watched me, then followed me for 5 miles when I left! Because of the distance to my regular dealer in Indy, Im often forced to use Basneys service department for my scheduled maintenance and have had work done there about 4 different times. Normally the service department is a bit more attentive than the sales department, but this week, my wife called to schedule an appointment on her 2011 BMW, and Basney said they had no record of our last name, no clue what she was talking about, and asked her 3 times if she had leased the car from them or somewhere else. (this is not important as you can service a BMW at ANY dealer nationally). She eventually had to provide her VIN number to prove to the service advisor that she did in fact OWN a BMW and then they begrudgingly said they could get to the car in two weeks. This was just for an oil change! The customer experience at Basney is ridiculous. Every website that reviews dealers says the same thing, as Basney has some of the worst ratings Ive seen, so heres another one to add to that list. Unless you are 60 years old, drive a 7-series, and are sporting an orange tan from your winter in Sarasota, do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else besides Basney BMW.

When I bought my first car from Basney BMW the salesman seemed not only to be friendly, but also welcomed me into the BMW family. However, when it came time to purchase my second car things were quite different. The salesman portrayed an attitude that made it seem as if he was doing me a favor selling me a BMW. The salesman and the service department both showed very little respect on my many visits. As another reviewer as mentioned I feel that this was because I did not have $50,000 around my neck. A few months after buying my second car I was informed that I needed new tires, and a fuel injection cleaning; things that I feel should have been done prior to my purchase. I also discovered that my car was damaged by acid rain from the previous owner... $400 to be fixed. On the day that I went to pick up the car, as I was backing out of the parking spot I stopped to let some people get to their car. At the same time a salesman had told another customer that it was clear and he could backup. He backed into my car. I understand that accidents happen, but not one salesman or one person from the dealership came to see if everything was okay, nor did the salesman who said it was okay for him to backup. For a two year old, $32,000 3 series it was not in very good shape. I will not buy another car from Basney BMW in South Bend Indiana.

I gave this rating because of the repeated times Basney BMW failed at fixing my car. When I went in for a routine check-up, they said everything was fine, but my car wouldn't even start after I had left the parking lot. I have bought two cars from them, and still I am given no respect in customer service. I just asked to see my car in the BMW garage and the secretary threatened to call security. I was shocked to see such unfriendliness. The pricing is average, but get your car repaired at another dealership because you will spend aa fortune just trying to keep your car up and running here.

Decent, but not the best. When I complain of noises, it was always "cannot duplicate problem." I once had to fight to get the tech to even look at my car - revealing a broken catalytic converter. Other service work seemed to be completed in a rushed manner. Typically when I needed work done that could be accomplished in one visit, it took three. One to diagnose the problem, another to install the parts (their part stock is low), and a third to re-install the parts due to sloppy installation. On top of that, the prices are high. I have since moved to a Southern state with better service and prices.

Mr Rousey is always happy to see me everytime I take my car in. He is a true BMW enthusiast. He eats, drinks, and sleeps this stuff. I didn't even buy my car at Basney! Everyone is always quick to ask me how I'm doing, etc... Keep in mind, I'm only 24. I've been to dealers before where I wouldn't be spoken to if I had $50,000 hanging around my neck. Basney BMW is awesome. They never sell above MSRP, and are always very professional. Mr. Egan is always quick to help the local BMWCCA as well. He donated a tremendous amount of prizes and time to the last Autocross event at Tire Rack.
