I would like to let all prospective buyers know how great it was dealing with Bayfront Automotive. As a first time buyer, I knew very little about the cars. Tim was extremely helpful and gave me a great deal on the used car I was looking at to buy. There were a few problems with the car, but Tim was sure to take care of the car and covered all the expenses for the repairs when I bought it. I know I made the right decision to come to Bayfront Automotive. I would highly recommend this car dealership for anyone looking to buy a used car for a great price!

I would highly recommend Bayfront Automotive to anyone who is looking to buy a late model, clean automobile! My husband just bought a third car from Bayfront. We've loved them all! We also enjoy working with Tim H. I feel that Tim does a fantastic job of filling the lot with a nice variety of quality options and he is good at his job! If you're prepared, you will be on the road in no time- No sitting around the dealership all afternoon! Here are a few things one might want to keep in mind when buying a used vehicle:1. I bought our third car here yesterday. The prices are fair. But it's the vehicles that keep me looking here. This is my second BMW we bought here...clean? Omg this is an 08 and it still smells new and a heated steering wheel!

I completely agree with Kristen Nicolia's previous review. Do not buy from this dealership!! And it's not just Bayfront as it's owned by one of the Bizzaro's and has several dealerships throughout the Erie area that seem to do business in the same matter as Bayfront. Stay clear from all of them...research, research,research! I'm now regretting that I hadn't researched them prior to doing business with them. Tim Huntley has been in the used car business for a very long time and knows exactly how to play the game, and that game is always in the best interest of the dealership and the owner, and certainly not the buyer. Tim Huntley has a very shady past in this industry and has a very low approval rating by many professionals here in the Erie area that I have personally talked to. Unfortunately I found this out only after buying a vehicle from him. I've talked with at least 8 people that have known him over the years, and not one of them had a positive thing to say about him, not one!! I almost felt bad for him...almost. His rudeness and poor personality were made apparent almost immediately after meeting him. After I test drove the car I talked with him about a few of things that I had concerns with... he began to cop an attitude with me as if I just insulted him. I guess it's because he hand picks all the vehicles himself and couldn't stand to hear that the vehicle he hand picked had issues. So after I told him that it shuttered real bad when stopping he refuted that by saying there's nothing wrong with it. I told him to take it for a quick spin so he could see for himself...he replied to me by saying "I'm not driving it!" At first, I was like the heck with this guy, but my wife really, really liked the car and I didn't want to screw this up for her. He eventually got in it, obviously annoyed, and quickly drove it in a circle around the cars in his TINY LITTLE LOT at a high rate of speed. He got out and said it's fine, just a little rust from sitting on the lot for so long and that it would eventually wear off. Fast forward, I ended up buying the car and after having my mechanic look at it, I brought it back to Bayfront Auto...as it turns out, Tim was WRONG and the rotors were so bad they were beyond fixing and needed to be replaced. He did pay for the rotors, but he made me pay for the labor...good, but not good enough as I feel since I told him they were bad before the purchase, he should have paid for the labor too. My mechanic also located a bad resonator which is basically a small muffler close to the engine, there is also a larger typical muffler in the back of the vehicle but that one seemed fine. Tim refused to pay for the resonator...a $487 part. I know, I know I should have had it checked first, but I did come back the very next day. Also, the mileage on the inspection sticker was more than what was on the odometer. I did not notice that until after the purchase as well. He assured me that it was an error by the person who issued the sticker and that the odometer was not rolled back. The State Police are in the middle of investigating this issue to see if there was any wrong doing. We also bought a four year extended warranty (at least we thought we bought a 4 year warranty) for this vehicle for $1250. After only 2 months I started hearing some weird noises/popping coming from the transmission and/or left front axle...so I went straight for the warranty paperwork to review our policy, and what did I find, he checked the 3 year warranty box instead of the 4 year. There is no set dollar amount next to the years on the warranty paperwork as there's no set price. They are charged a flat rate from the insurer, the dealer then can sell the policy to the customer for what ever amount he chooses. That's how they make their money on the warranty. My wife and I are 100% sure he told us 4 years for $1250 as she wrote it down while talking to him...he got us good on that one!! I honestly believe he checked the 3 year box after my wife signed the paperwork...and yes, we know she screwed up by not reading it more carefully. I just stopped to see him this evening to see if he may have accidentally checked the wrong box, (I knew we were screwed as the paper work had been signed but I tried anyway) but he would not work with us at all. But he did feel the need to sling some foul language, including the f bomb at me because of my decision to have the State Police look into the odometer and inspection sticker discrepancy...too bad Tim, it's wrong and it's my right to have it investigated...no reason for him to get mad at me as he should have caught that when he purchased the vehicle himself. Bottom line, in my opinion he's a shady character to say the least. The fact that I gave this place $18000+ worth of business makes me sick to my stomach. I honestly don't know how people like this can sleep at night...sad, very sad. Also, the only good thing about this place is the guy that details the cars. He seems to be a good guy and does fantastic work.

I purchase a slightly used vehicle over the Internet from Tim. All of the associates communicated back and forth very well and made the transaction as smooth and quick as possible. They helped me ship the vehicle 1400 miles, and when it arrived it was "as advertised". I am very pleased with my buying experience and would do business with Bayfront again!

NEVER AGAIN! RUDE RUDE RUDE! Not even a week after having the car, I had shifting problems. I was told to bring it to their garage to have the computer re-booted or whatever and that the warranty would not cover that part. (they advertise their six month garbage warranty). I was told it would most likely happen again and that I would have to pay for it. So another week goes by and it happens again. Tim, the rude salesman I worked with told me to take it to Toyota bc there was a recall on the part and that maybe they would help me. I was lucky enough for Toyota to honor me with bc my car was over the 10 year warranty for that part if you will. However, who tells someone who just wrote you a check for 8500.00 to go to another dealership?! I bought the car from YOU! YOU should stand by YOUR sales!!! My husband called to complain to Tim about how I was treated and he lied to my husband saying that he said he would take care of my car. Nothing was taken care of through Bayfront Auto. If Toyota did not help me, I would have had to spend a pretty penny to put a new computer in a car I bought 2 weeks prior with a warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do realize warranties do not cover everything, but my inspection was due and of course, I had to put anotehr 450.00 into because the warranty again, coverd NOTHING! My car also needs another 400.00 part that I cannot afford at the moment. Do not buy from these snakes! They are greedy and sell nothing but garbage and do NOTHING for their customer!

I bought a car from them and a week later it was not running correctly. Tim was very rude to me on the phone about it and told me to go toToyota to get it fixed if I could. Who sends someone to another dealership!? My husband called after me because Tim was so rude and he lied to my husband saying that he told me he would take care of it. Nice business man huh?! Now my car is inspected and the "extended warranty" does not cover what needs fixed just as it did not cover the previous problme

I purchased a Suburban a while ago, and although I had some trouble with my dashboard, the problem was fixed as Tim stated. I also needed warranty work on the transmission, and this was also taken care of.As far as the sale of the vehicle, the purchase went very smoothly, financing was done through Wells Fargo, and the Suburban has been running and looking great after a year.

Tim was my salesman he was very helpful and understanding through out the process I shopped around and found the best deal at bayfront. Tim made sure I knew what I was getting for the money and exteemely helpful explaining everything through out the process. I would definitely buy again from there.

I recently purchased an Audi A4 from Bayfront. Tim was very helpful and made a smooth sale with us. The problem happened the day after I got home with my car. I had an oil leak from my oil cooler and it needed to be replaced. It cost 610.00 and as of this point, Tim has refused to pay for the service to my vehicle. he stated that it shouldn't cost that much to repair the car. parts were 375 and labor was 185 plus tax. I've called and left messages with no reply as of this writing.

I bought a 2004 Chevy Suburban for a great price. Actually the price scared me, as I wondered what would be wrong with it. The speedometer quit working before I arrived, and they had a new control module the following week. This is the first car that I DID NOT purchase from a trusted local garage, and I felt bad about that. However, when I took the Suburban back home, and had it gone over, the mechanic said everything was in excellent shape. I would definitely consider another car from Bayfront when I am in the market again. People, you are going to get what you pay for. If you want to buy a quality car, you have to spend a little bit. Every dealer has some cars for cheap, but that is what you get.

I bought a car from here. 2 days later the hose from the power steering was leaking. Now 5 months later I take it to get inspected and find out that the rotors on it are undersized. This is causing me more money. I also need have a problem with the wheel. Terrible.

Vehicles look great from the road only! Stay far away! They will sell you junk and not stand by it. Bought a car for our son, (1st car), haven't owned it for an entire year yet and have had nothing but weekly problems with it. They have washed their hands of it. Just gave us the brush off anytime we approached them.

Have the car checked out before you buy it. They sell crappy cars, dont let them fool you. They try to come across as a classy car lot but the cheaper cars they sell are complete junk. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! They wouldnt even hold it for me so I could have my garage look at it....walk away if they wont let you.
