Salespeople, service representative and mechanics were unprofessional, incompetent and dishonest. My car drove perfectly until they serviced it. After Bert Smith serviced it, my car was out of alignment, the engine was unresponsive and dragged, and was noisy. The salespeople wanted to charge me much more than the car's "true car" valuation, and tried to high pressure sell. In fact they were even rude after I paid the appropriate price.

Traded in my jetta with a fairly new salesman and had issues , but Robert Rickman took care of my issues . If you wan't to but a car visit Robert Rickman !!

Kelly and Larry got us the car we wanted,we love our new car.Went to a different VW Dealership had a horrible experience. Definitely recommend Bert Smith VW.

We bought a Jetta Sport at BS and we had a seamless car buying experience. Kelly Curtis is an excellent salesperson, and he took care of every detail so the process was very easy for us. That day we went to Precision Mazda and Kuhn VW and BS was our last option. But I have to say that they are way better than everybody else.

Kelly Curtis started my experience off right by really listening to me and what I wanted and needed. He's clearly experienced in dealing with skeptics like me who never thought that leasing a new car was practical or affordable. He wasn't pushy or overly flattering like so many sales people I've encountered. On the contrary, he listened a lot, answered all my questions, and let me make my own decision based on what was best for me. His relaxed and friendly manner allowed me to feel in control with out feeling on my own. As if that wasn't enough to make my experience with Bert Smith great, I then met Hiram Algarin while setting up the financing. Like most people, I don't have A credit and not all the credit bureaus agreed how far from A I was. Hiram handled it like a seasoned professional. He took time to ask questions, to investigate options, and to find out how we could make this deal work with my financial situation. A true problem solver, he found a solution and put it all together in a way that I am still telling my friends and family about. They are doing really good work there at Bert Smith and have earned my business, my praise and my recommendation to anyone who will listen.

Bert Smith and salesman Kelly Curtis came through for me and found the car particular GTI I was looking for when other dealers in the area could not. The deal was quick, cordial and painless. Although Bert Smith is farther from my residence than two other dealerships, I will buy my next VW from them.

I traveled 8 hours to Bert Smith after speaking with them online and over the phone. They guaranteed there would be no games played and that was the truth. This was a great experience and I will return when I purchase my next vehicle. I worked with Stephen in car sales, the manager Mike, and Larry from financing and each treated me with a high level of respect and no high pressure sales tactics. If you are looking for a new vehicle don't pass them up!

We were very pleased with our transaction with Bert Smith. I would recommend them to family and friends. Our sales agent, Kelly Craig, was very helpful and professional, and helped us get a great deal! Eric helped get us a low interest rate from the finance department.

My whole experience with this place has been crap from the start. When I took delivery of my new 2012 GTI in April 2013, I noticed a dent in the door that was not there when I test drove the vehicle. The manager was gracious about this and fixed it, but it foreshadowed the next almost 2 years of my ownership of this car. I've had various rattles since about 5000 miles, many of which Bert Smith's tech department mysteriously "couldn't reproduce" or said that "VW isn't aware of this so there's no TSB for it". One such issue was the front subrame bolts would tend to come loose and cause the subframe to hit the body of the car, causing a loud "thud". I found a TSB for the Jetta and brought it to them, but since VW didn't make a TSB for the Golf as well, they made me pay out of pocket for this fix. After a recent accident, I brought it to their body shop to get the work done since they were the nearest VW Certified collision center. I found that they didn't reinstall interior panels properly, scratched my front fender, oversprayed on things that they shouldn't have even sprayed in the first place, and even left their tools IN MY CAR! My most recent experience had them replacing one of the seat belt buckles because it was rattling. When I get my car back, the ENTIRE BACK OF THE CAR is now rattling! Every time Bert Smith messes up, I end up going to another dealer to fix it. I'm bringing my car to another dealer this Saturday to fix whatever it is they messed up this time. Their techs seem completely incompetent and unable to do the most basic of jobs without reinstalling a panel wrong, forgetting things, or completely disregarding the concerns of the customer. Done with Bert Smith. Never going there again. I'd rather go to Tampa for service, at least there's one dealership there that has been pretty consistently good for me.

Melvin and Greg were great. When I drove a 2.5 liter Passat and was unimpressed, Greg suggested the turbo deisel which I love. Both were knowledgeable about the car. I gave them a price of what I wanted to pay in terms of down, trade in, and sales price and financing and they came very close. They went out of their way to find the color of car I wanted at another dealership. Great service and I would recommend them.

This was the first time purchasing a car on my own, And Bert smith Dealership made my experience Great! They were extremely knowledgeable on Volkswagen vehicles and were able to answer any questions. I could not have asked for better service. Very attentive, friednly, and fair! I would highly recommend anyone here! My Overall experience was wonderful and I drove off the lot with a Car That I LOVE!!!

Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and courteous. They inquired what my needs were and were happy to fulfill them. I would definitely recommend them. I would like to give special mention to my salesman Steve Schromm who was very patient and thorough. The shop was clean and the customer service was outstanding.

We our sales person , Walter to be a knowledgeable and friendly person to do our business with. His knowledge of the product line far surpassed other dealerships that handled the same brand. The willingness to close the deal and at the same time deliver a product to us that met our requirements was spot on. The words "No" and "Can't" were not in Walter's answers to our questions, "I'll try" and "let's see what we can do" were his answers, showing a true commitment to customer service. Allowing a generous test drive after having some trepidation regarding a Volkswagon sunroof option, has spared us the "buyers remorse" as our Teguan is being prepped for delivery.

My husband and I each leased a Jetta and it was time to upgrade. Two years ago both these men went out of their way to help us get a car that we could afford. We went back today and we got two more Jettas, The dealership is so friendly and they do not make you feel like they are trying to slam you into a car. They truly want you to get a car you can afford and one youwill be happy with so you come back and more importantly so you feel like you got your money's worth. After all times are tough for allof us and having a car you can afford and love is important. We went to almost every dealership in town when we first bought our cars and salesmen are notorious for ... well you know... being pushy. They were not at all like that. They were quick and efficient from the first to the last step of the process.We tell all our friends about them and about how much we love the product. It is cool looking out in the yard and seeing matching jettas. We will definitely be back when it is time to make a decision on the cars we bought today. Brian and Kathy Zell

My VW Jetta was totaled last year and the prices went up. We were hoping to find a similar car and price. My father called Bert Smith and they gave an outstanding price on the phone and when we went over there, the price was the same--they even beat the deal I got on my previous car and I ended up upgrading to the next package. They had to get the car from a different dealership so they gave me a fully-loaded CC to drive until my new car came in. Everyone was incredibly friendly and when we actually went in to lease the car, I'd say we were there for maybe an hour or so before they had me on the road in my new car. From now on I'm extending them the courtesy of going there first.

William tried very hard to get me the car I wanted in the color combination I wanted (it had been discontinued). He spent a lot of time searching dealer inventories, reviewing my options and discussing differences between the cars. Although I ultimately bought the car (the only one in the color I wanted was located 800 miles away), I would recommend him as a salesperson. He was well-informed, responsive to phone calls, and at no time put any pressure on me to compromise and buy a differnt vehicle.

I don't usually write reviews, and I don't know anything about cars, BUT: Bert Smith's service Dept is a rip off. I had a problem with my car's transmission. I brought it around to two places for estimates before bringing it to Berts, both other shops (which I won't give their names, I don't want to be a commercial) gave me free estimates of how much it would cost to repair, and both shops gave me the same diagnosis as Berts.....when I finally got to Bert's what did they charge me for an estimate? $100!! This is the second time they've charged me for estimates, the first was about a year ago. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! There are plenty of shops around town that have better customer service and are actually in the business of fixing cars, not raking you over the coals for ever dollar they can get out of you. Save yourself $100 dollars get you car repaired elsewhere.

I have had my pre-certified Z-4 in for service 2 times. After only 2 days, the convertible top did not even go down! I had numerous other problems that were listed, but not correct. One of the problems was the alignment. As a result of it not being corrected, I was told I had to purchase two new tires and an alignment!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called to speak to the General Manager who "hung up" on me. Now, I ask...who wants to do business with an organization like that? Wish I had gone to Reeves. I had a friend who had aput a deposit down on a $56,000. car who canceled as a result of my dealing with them and their lack of service. Now I know why....the leadership.

Negotiated the price. Next day came with a check for the car. To my surprise, there was a new price (sales manager increased the price by $3,500). I walked out from the dealership with no car and have wasted my time buy leaving my job early and going to bank getting the money. I can't believe somebody still does business like this (even today, when economy is not doing so well). I DO NOT recomment this dealership.

They are liars & cheats. Drive the extra 30 miles to have your car serviced by Reeves. Left over 5 voice mails for Ram, the Service Manager, & never got a reurn call. Had to drive to dealership myself to confront him. His excuses are pure lies. BEWARE !!!

Absolutely dreadful customer service. A very rude and arrogant salesperson. Seemed completely uninterested in my business. Could not be bothered to answer the simplest question on pricing. Avoid this dealership if you expect to be treated with any respect at all.

I stopped doing business with the dealership last month, 5 years and 4 BMWs later,as have a few of my colleagues. Since Nadar the Service Manager resigned, they keep replacing one manager after another and these new guys just don't have Nadar's technical knowledge and customer handling abilities and simply just cannot get it right anymore.Same goes for the Sales Dept. since Rich left. The place has gone downhill since they replaced Mark Cobb whom I followed over from Reeves. Employees all seem really miserable too.Mr.Smith, its time to wake up and come downstairs,your ship is sinking!

Worst customer service I have every experienced...on any product I have every owned in my 53 years. They had my car in for service for 31 days (took them 3 visits and 4 phone calls from me just to get a loaner (Chrysler) after 7 days. I got the royal treatment alright...the royal run-a-round! When car was finally "repaired"??? car came back with filthy interior! "The Ultimate Driving Machine"...yeah right! You boys need a new slogan.

I ordered a 650i in October. It was nothing special, the only thing it had on it was an automatic transmission. I tracked it almost every week online and realized that the one that they had ordered was a manual. I called them back (this was in november) and they said they had sent me a letter. I had never recieved a letter, and they gave me a *new* production number. I tried calling rich 5 times and he would never call me back, and always had someone else call me. Finally I talked to the manager, Mark and canceled my order and went to Reeves. I would definately not recommend Bert Smith if it was the last dealership on the planet!!
