When I went to big 7 my budget was 3000 for a cash car. I looked at a few different cars & narrowed it down to a cobalt & a galant. When I test drove the 2005 galant the a/c was out & the only way I would purchase the car was if they would fix the a/c. Gary (my salesman) agreed & gave me a 30 day warranty. I put 4000 down & my balance was 3047. 10 days later I took my car to get serviced & picked it up the same day, they changed the compressor. A little over 30 days after that my a/c was out again & again Gary agreed to fix it. Tropical storm Bill was expected to make landfall the next day so he told me i'd have to wait until after the storm passed to get my air fixed. 3 days later I dropped it off & picked it up the same day. Not even 10 days later my a/c was out AGAIN! I called Gary to set an appointment to drop it off & he said he had two motor jobs he had to get done so we would have to schedule for the following week..which meant another 8 days sweltering in my car. I dropped the car off yet again & this time I didn't have anyone to pick me up right away so I sat on the bench outside the office and patiently waited. Gary came up to me about 30mins later & told me i had two options 'we can put your car back together & let you leave & try to find a ride to drop it off later today or..cause i can tell you now they're not gonna fix your car while you're here..it's against their policy' I was SHOCKED to say the least. Gary & I exchanged words back & forth briefly but I ultimately chose to leave my car there & continue to wait for my ride since I wasn't too fond of the option he gave me. I am still extremely disappointed in big 7 & they will never get my business again.

On 2/3/15 I purchased a 2006 Scion tC for Big 7 used cars in Dickinson, Tx. I told my sales person, Gary, I needed something reliable and dependable as I was a single parent on disability. Gary showed me a handful of vehicles which I boiled down to 2. These were the scion I purchased and a ion. Gary told me in anything was wrong they'd fix it but 2-3 months down the road he couldn't. He even told me a story abouta car he recently sold something happened and he fixed it. So I felt comfortable. Gary helped me unload my Buick Rainier and load everything into the Scion. That evening i had amechanic test drive my car and he said he believed an engine mount was loose. The next day I had to get tires and oil, oil filter, air filter totalling 674.84 + $ 25.00 = $6199.84 I'm invested into the car now. The very next day the check engine light came on. I went to O'Reilly and found the codes there were two. (Same codes showing now) I went to big 7 were Gary told me it was just an fuel cap, he'd get me one. Gary sent me to a auto retailer in Dickson where I picked it up. The engine light went off for a few days. I spoke with an employee while waiting for my plates and tag for the ladies to get back from lunch. The man and I began discussing our children then I don't recall how the car came up but the man said he knew the engine Mount was loose from when he drove it. Being as big 7 said they'd replace it, it didn't occur this was just the tip of the ice burg. My rear middle seat belt does not latch, my truck does not have struts, the engine Mount, the radiator needs flushed, my keyless entry is in 2 pieces they glued it together, the rear does not have floor mats, the paint in chipped on passenger front, weather stripping on windows flew off as I was driving, dent on driver door, frame was damaged, the oil and filters that came with the car required immediate assistance, the wind shield fluid does not discharge. This renders the car in poor condition by all standards which leaves the car valued at $1408. I've recorded conversations, reported to the bbb, tried numerous times to resolve with dealership. I've offered to return the car for 6199.84 and provide receipts, or they fix the issues they obviously knew about but did not disclose with a 12 month standard warranty ensuring the damages be repaired accurately, pay t the $1408+$474 resulting in a 3600+refund to take responsibly of repairs myself, I've looked at other vehicles on the lot in which they tried to get me into a 2004 Scion xb valued at 4300 but according to them was worth more. They've offered to return $5500 but car must come back with tires in which I'd take nearly a $700 loss. I need help the owner refuses to talk according to Gary he said he doesn't talk to the public. I've tried to be fair but I see now they do this with all the cars on the lot.
