I recently bought a BMW M2 at BMW of Birmingham. As this was a new BMW model and was highly sought after, it took almost 4 months from the time of the order until delivery date. During this time, I worked with Jason O'Quinn who answered countless questions before I decided to place the order, while I waited for the car to be built, and after the delivery. The whole process was very professional, emails were answered and calls returned, which was, to be honest, welcomingly surprising. The delivery day, after a 4 month wait, was pretty exciting. Jason seems as excited as I was. Car features were explained, questions answered. Jason was very professional, even got me a couple of nice things from their store. He earned my respect, being a car salesman. I mean a BMW Genius. :)John Scanlan found the right financing for me and also answered many questions in that front. Thanks for your patience, John. Financing was done by Britney Shannon, who was very pleasant and patient also. For the first time in a dealership finance office I was shown their different products, but did not feel pressured to buy anything.About three weeks later, I got a call from Michael Matkosky who arranged for an Encore Delivery which is an excellent hour of training with a BMW Genius. I took it with Ashley Tucker. Got great tips about iDrive I would have never gotten from the manual. To me, it was worth the time and the drive, as I live an hour away from Birmingham. I was properly bribed to come in with a generous offer of some BMW products and a full tank of gas. Thanks Michael.Finally, on the same Saturday I had the encore delivery, they performed the 1200 mile break in service. I talked to Anna McMurry, who was very nice and polite and answered some questions I had about it. I went to lunch and after a couple of hours I got both a text and a call saying the car was ready.I talked to other people during my two visits to the dealership, such as Sam, who filled up our tank on our way out, and the parts store guy, whose name I don't have. Thank you.You may be thinking this review sounds too perfect to be true. How do you know all these people's names? Simple. I keep my receipts, emails and cards. This is for real, not a made up review.I too think this is too perfect. Well, the title should have hinted it. I have bought a couple of other BMWs in different dealer in this region and I can tell you, it was not like this. I am still trying to find problems with this process, being an engineer, but I can't. If I had to complain about anything, it would be how long it took to get this awesome little car, but that is on BMW. Considering what I got for the money I paid, I would wait 6 months for it. When I visited BMW of Birmingham, it was with the desire to test drive the new BMW 330e. Jason Eldridge is the salesman I worked with and because I have known him for several years, I trust his advice. He called me when it came in and I test drove it. I really liked it, so we started crunching numbers. In the end I did lease it. I talked with several of the staff and was treated like I mattered. Ashley Tucker helped me several times in learning how to operate the navigation system and some other technical matters. Then after about 10 days of driving it, Ashley did my Encore presentation, where she answered all my questions. I visited the parts department, the service department, where they washed my car and cleaned my windows thoroughly, and have talked to Jason and Ashley several times since the purchase. I am very pleased with the purchase and the way I am treated when at BMW of Birmingham, even after the sale.

Due to my auto being totaled in an accident ruled NOT my fault, we had to start looking for another vehicle. My husband & I arranged to drive in from Montgomery & test drive one car in particular. That went pretty well...however in thinking back, they had to jump off the BMW we were set up to drive as the battery was dead. We still thought...that can happen to anyone. We did purchese the car that day with Jason's promise to order BMW inserts for the rims as well as floor mats since those were missing. Well, the BMW rim inserts were the wrong size, therefore I as well as my husband telephoned him, leaving several messages letting him know what he had sent to us were too big & will NOT work & to plz contact us. We were just letting him know there had been a mistake in size on the inserts but to please please at least contact us. That has been over a 6 week period. Not only that but now, after having it 6 weeks, we know now it needs a new battery which will be appr $400.00. I have been in sales and marketing all my adult life and would never ignore a customer ....period...whether they were new or existing customers. If your customers are happy with the professional way they are treated and the sales person keeps his word, that repeat business is a given, which was my case. I bought an Infinity G35 from Tom Williams in 2007 & was totally satisfied with my customer service which is exactly why I trusted Tom Williams in purchasing my BMW. I'm not overly critical of sales people, but ignoring calls, messages left but not returned is not good for the sales person nor Tom Williams and certainly not good for repeat business! Btw...we still don't have correct size BMW insets for rims... they sent ones for the 700 series so they don't fit...we need ones for 328I

With the new iDrive5 system, the changes are fantastic but definitely require some time to learn how to operate them. Mike was very thorough in going over the entire system. There was one area where he needed to check on the process and he assured me that he would get the information. Oleg is a great combination of (i) extremely informative and helpful and (ii) low pressure sales pitch. He was completely knowledgeable about the car when I purchased it, and on my Encore visit he showed me a lot of capabilities I wasn't even aware the car had. Traveling from Northwest Georgia to Destin, FL my low tire light came on just North of Birmingham, AL. I just happen to notice a BMW dealership on my left. I drove about three more miles then I started to hear a loud roar coming from the road. It sounded like we were on some rough pavement. So i pulled off at the next exit and found that I had a chunk missing from from right front tire. I called the BMW Assist and the gentleman located my car, told me where the dealer was (that I had just passed) and then called them to make sure they had the right replacement tire in stock. We turned around and headed back north. When we arrived the Service Staff was waiting on me. They replaced the quickly and then saw that I had purchased the Tire/Wheel damage insurance. All I had to pay was the $50.00 deductible ! They also allowed our Yorkie to stay inside the waiting area with us as it was in the mid-90's outside.Great job, great assistance, great service ! Thank you so much !

When I came into BMW of Birmingham for the first time for service everything about my experience was professional and the service I had was exceptional. From the time I called, the receptionist sent me to the appointment scheduler - promptly- they were courteous and professional. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by my advisor- who checked me in fast and got me in and out in record time! I waited for 1.5 hours for my first maintenance - which is amazing. I waited in a well maintained, clean facility. The coffee bar was clean and delicious. They had new magazines, TV, wifi, and a children's area for my 5 year old. I purchased a t-shirt, tag, and spare key in the gift shop/retail area. Jim and Ken helped me with a smile. I looked at the 2016 BMW's on the exquisite showroom floor and Bruce and Sherrie came to talk to me about them. The friendly service I have experienced at BMW is welcoming and warm.I will be here for a very long time because I plan on being a repeat customer.

Michael Matkosky spent at least 90 minutes going over specific questions from parking to use of and pairing up of the backseat iPad. We also took the car on the interstate and he demonstrated the use of the cruise control. After my lovely wife wrecked out 530i, we were looking for a replacement. Located a 2011 528i at Tom Willliams. Car had just been traded in at the Lexus dealership across the street, but Larry Carpenter made sure the car was there for us to test drive. It was just what we were looking for and Larry was a breeze to work with. Gave a run-through on the car, which is considerably different from our E60. My son traded a 2015 Chevrolet camaro ss 1le for a 2010 BME 328i. At the time I thought it was a good buying experience. We were due a refund of 7500.00 and was told it would take 10 days but no longer than 14 days to receive it, however, that has not been the case. I have tried several times contacting them and no one will return my calls not even the General manager. So the bottom line with this dealership is after they get their sale made they could care less about the buyer. To be a BMW dealership you would think they would be more responsible. I need to purchase another car in June and I promise they will not ever get my business again. So beware buyers!!!

I purchased a 2012 335I in 2013 with a extended warranty, from them. The service has been excellent and the facilities are outstanding. I recently required the replacement of a defective wheel and they supplied a replacement BMW until the wheel could be replaced. I had left my proof of insurance at home and they even helped me contact my insurer for the information. They were very gracious and I would highly recommend them.

This dealership almost made me regret driving BMW!! I don't know where to start about my horrible experience with this dealership.I found online 2014 bmw 435 that was for sale from this dealership. After negotiation with Chris Cole we close the deal. At that time I was pre approve from chase so I told him that i need a day to make sure that I'm gonna have approve from chase before i make deposit for the car. When we spoke over the phone since I never saw the car in person I told him that Im not worry about the mechanical problems since is certified and under warranty only I want to make sure there is no scratches and the car has clean carfax report. He told me YES the car have clean carfax report!! In mean time a was not approve from Chase so I call him to let him know. He offer me a link for online application so they can try to get me a car loan. I fill up the online application with me as main applicant and my wife as a co applicant since she is not a driver and she don't have DL. While I was filling the application he told me I'm sorry we just sold the car. I said ok and ask him to please look for another similar vehicle. So he found a similar car but it was more money since it was 2015 and I ask him if he can continue looking so we can find a car that was at my price range like the one that he just sold. He told me that is not going to happen since the car that he sold had a minor accident reported on carfax after he told me that THE CAR HAVE CLEAN CARFAX REPORT!!! That was the first LIE. He told me that I get approve from Ally bank for 6.4% for 72 moths. We were negotiating and we agree on the price and for them to reimburse my rent a car bill from Atlanta, GA to the dealership.I told him that I need a day to thinking about buying this car since the price was higher that I was planing to spend and the rate was high as well. The next day I call the lady in financing Brook Carter to see if I can get better rates. She told me that chase approve me for 5.99% just they need some additional document from me and my wife. After providing those document she call me and telling me that I'm approve from Chase. I ask her 3 time to make sure that Im approve (since chase turn me down) she told me YES. After this conversation i made deposit for downpayment of $5k. Later in the day Chris text me that they need my Driving License and proof of insurance. After 3 days he text me again that they need a driving license from my wife.I told them that she don't have a DL and they don't need her DL since she is a co applicant on the loan. He told me that thats going to be problem since they decide to change the application and place her as main applicant and me as co applicant in order to get the loan. How you can make decision like this without consulting with me first ?!?! So I call Brook to see what we can do and she told me to try to get a loan on my name. After few banks she told me congratulation i get u approve for loan with rate 7.8%. I told her Im sorry but I'm not going to accept that loan since they told me that I was approve for 5.9% and thats why I proceed with the purchase. She told me ok then if u don't accept this loan you gonna loose the deposit of $5k !!! Then I just lost it , I start yelling and demanding to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she is the supervisor. I told her I'm contacting BMW corporate and file a complain ( which I'm gonna do after I finish with this review) and I hang up the phone.After 15 minutes I receive a phone call from her supervisor Garet Donoho who call me to see whats going on. He was the only professional person at that dealership who knew what he was doing. He follow through with the interest rate and he was able to get me even better rate. After we agree to proceed with the purchase they send me the documents to have them sign the next day. And again there were on my wife name as a main applicant and me as co applicant.I call Brook before we sign them and she told me to don't worry you are going to be ok.After I mail back the documents I send everybody email to make sure that they gonna correct the document since my wife dose not have a DL. Long story short They never correct the document so Im having problem getting registration for my car. I call Brook and told her that I can't register my car, she said she gonna check with the person who is in charge for the title paperwork and give me call back. SHE NEVER CALL ME BACK and this was like a week ago. And also the bill for rental was $82 and they send my a check for $50 :) I have all the documentation (emails and messages) to prove all above !!What a Joke of dealership !! What a bunch of crooks and unprofessional employees in one place and we are talking about serious company BMW !!They made my new car shopping experience so miserable

Now it's ruined yet they claim they can fix although indentations are beyond clear coat . Finance Mgrs don't return calls . There mission s to sell a vehicle after that they could care less. I'd been to other dealerships and I left discouraged b/c I didn't receive the same experience and I felt like I was being pressured. Mr. Stephen Jolly and the team at Sonic Automotive went above the call of duty with customer service and a deal that I thought was unbeatable. Thanks to them all! From the sales manager at MINI to the finance manager at BMW, I felt like I was top priority. The whole transaction was smooth and I didn't spend a lot of time waiting. I really enjoyed working the TWBMW and Jeannie. She helped me test drive a used vehicle and even helped me better learn to drive stick since I was a novice. I ended up not buying the car I was looking at due to coming into ownership of another one through family. A few other dealerships were pushy and dismissive when I told them the news of this, but Jeannie was kind and congratulative. It made me want to work with them again whenever the time comes to buy that BMW. I really couldn't speak more highly of the way that was handled.Also, the car I was looking at had an accident history. TWBMW was honest in what they did and did not know about the incident given the information from vehicle history and their own inspection for CPO. I really appreciated that.

I went to the Tom Williams BMW after having selected my BMW from their online inventory. All we had to do was take a short test drive and complete the paperwork. The staff did a great job of moving the necessary steps that it takes to buy a car. I am an out-of-town buyer and had to visit Tom Williams BMW at the end of day on a Friday. The staff cheerfully worked late to accommodate my schedule. The follow-up phone calls that I have made were all handled in a very professional manner.

Although we were not at the dealership to purchase a BMW, Jeannie still treated us with the same courtesy as though we were. Our purchase was a pre-owned Honda Element with a 5-speed manual transmission, a vehicle we could not find locally and drove nearly 4 hours to look at. Jeannie called us while we were in transit to confirm our four p.m. appointment. The vehicle was ready for us to drive when we arrived at the dealership, the agreement on price was reached with a minimum of fuss and haggling, and the paperwork was done amazingly quickly considering it was after five p.m. While we were waiting, we asked Jeannie for recommendations on hotels and restaurants and she told us which exit to take off 459 to find plenty of both. Now THAT'S customer service!

Found a great demo GT on their website, and emailed with Rob for several times. Rob was very frank about the leasing option and price, and I decided to have a test drive and buy. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership, Oleg greeted us warmly and took us for a test drive immediately. He was very professional and introduced every unique feature of the GT to us. The whole test drive lasts for around an hour. He was very knowledgeable about the car, and he was very patient. The purchase process is painless since Rob offered a great price with no hassle. My husband and I visited two other dealerships searching for an Audi Q5 and neither matched the service we received with Jeannie. She started our trade in process before we test drove a vehicle and by the time we decided on our car we just had paperwork left! We had a small wait because there were so many other customers buying vehicles, but it was a pleasant experience. We were offered snacks, beverages, and Jeannie kept us company... I have owned BMW's since 1995 and love them. Have bought in Florida and from Tom Williams. The last 2 experiences we have had trying to buy a new BMW from Tom Williams was horrible. They are arrogant and could care less if u buy from them. We have used their service department and have to leave messages, no one ever calls back! Have made several attempts to use them and can definitely say things have changed there within the last 2 years. So now we own Mercedes! They know how to treat their customers!

The level of service I received working with Jeannie, Shane and her colleagues at Tom Williams BMW in purchasing my new X4 was superb. Jeannie was very accommodating to my scheduling needs, had very good knowledge of the vehicles that I viewed and test-drove, prompt in getting back to me with sales quotes, and worked diligently to get me out the door with the product I wanted. In fact, she has followed up with me the past two days since I have bought my car to see that everything is going smooth and seeing if I have any follow-up questions. Jeannie also covered for my original sales contact Shane (from a previous visit) when I dropped into to see new inventory and Shane was busy with another customer. Shane also followed up with me on the sale date and provided a nice tutorial on the car technology, paired my phone to the Bluetooth, and got me set-up to drive away. Now is May 2015 my son decided he wanted to get something different and wanted to establish his own credit. He found the vehicle of his dream a Jeep Wrangler made a phone call and his salesman was Parker, very enjoyable young man. Parker worked with him showed him all the options to make sure he could make it work for him to start establishing his own credit and get the Jeep. I purchased my first BMW approximately 8 years ago. In fact, 8 years is the longest I have kept a car...but I had enjoyed the vehicle purchased at Tom Williams immensely! There was no doubt I would own another BMW. Recently, I drove into Tom Williams BMW at their closing time (partly because I did not intend to purchase a vehicle that day - but in the few days to follow) and I did not want to be pressured by a salesman; I simply wanted to look at the inventory on the lot and return to make a purchase. Parker Rosenberger soon met me as I was looking at the vehicle I wanted to consider. He was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgable. I asked about the closing time...Parker responded "15 minutes ago" but offered to help without ever a feeling of being put at an indisposition. The end result of the Parker's sacrifice and willingness to help after closing hours impressed me....along with his gentle and "non-pussy" approach. Not only did I purchase the car...I ended up leasing another vehicle before leaving that evening. The transactions took us a few hours into the night , all beyond the normal operating hours. He facilitated several test drives to make sure I was making the best decision for my needs. Even as the midnight hour approached, Parker insisted on fully orienting me to both vehicles. Parker and the other professionals who remained after hours never gave me anything but the feeling they were genuinely happy to help make the transactions, moving cars in and out and never making me feel rushed; this was customer service ABOVE and BEYOND what I expected. I realized these professionals were sacrificing their personal time that could have been spent with their families. The BMW experience is ABOVE and BEYOND in many aspects...the covered maintenance, extended warranties and maintenance agreement, the super service received when bringing a car to the service department (Al Fortunado always makes have the car service a pleasurable and painless experience)...not to mention the technology and engineering of such great "machines". All of this including professionals like Parker and Al, the performance of my prior car, plus much more has made me BMW loyal.

I have left yet to be returned voice mails. I have yet to have a problem, with my three BMW's, that was covered by my CPO warranty. Always an out on their part. I have been told repairs were needed when there no repairs were needed (verified by other mechanics). The employees were always very cordial, but the results are disappointing for a BMW dealer. I have used BMW dealers in Raleigh, NC, Santa Fe, NM, Chicago, IL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, Ga, and other places with great results.

On or about March 23rd, 2015 I looked on-line for a Ford Taurus. I found one that I decided to leave my contact information. I was at work when Felicia Posey called, she left a detailed message and a clear number to call her back on. When I was able to return her call she was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I told Ms. Posey I had a budget to stay in and told her what I could pay. She said she would make an offer to the sales manager and get back with me either way. She let me know up front that my offer may or may not be accepted. I really do like the up front approach. She called me after she had gotten the information from the sales manager and told me my offer was acceptable. I made an appointment to see the car on the evening of the 27th. I decided to come by and see the car on the 26th of March as to run it to my mechanic to have him check it out. As I was in route to Tom Williams BMW I called to let them know I was coming. So happen Felicia was calling me to confirm the 27th of March appointment. She met me in the lot when I arrived. My car was sitting in a VIP slot with my name on it I have NEVER had this happen before when buying a car. She introduced me to Rick Weinburg, he was my salesman. We talked about the car and he showed me the features. I ask him about taking it for a test drive and to take it to my mechanic. I test drove it and was impressed. Rick did the paperwork that needed to be done so that I could take it and have it checked over ( my mechanic is in Anniston Alabama). After having the car checked and APPROVED by my mechanic I drove back and let Rick know that I would be buying the car. I placed a deposit on the car. I was to pick the car up on Sautrday. We met with Rick Weinburg again and he shared with us the options that we could get additionally for the car. Mr. Weinburg is as pleasant and knowledgeable as Ms.Posey. As Mr. Weinburg finished some paperwork he introduced Brooke Moseley who answered ALL of my questions about the payment of my new car. Instead of waiting for Saturday we came down late on Friday evening to pick up my (new to me) car. Mr. Andrew Anderson met my husband and I at the door with a smile, Mr. Weinberg was there and helpped finish up the paperwork, he handed us off to Cy Cyphers because Ms. Moseley was not in. They caompleted the paperwork and answered our final questions. My car was ready for me shining bright, beautiful and ready to be drien home. I got tickled when I saw the Thank you and Congatulations paper in the stand next to my car. I am now the PROUD and VERY HAPPY owner of a 2005 Ford Taurus and VERY Satisfied that I purchased it form Tom WIlliams BMW. I have told my friends and co-workers about my GREAT experience. I even kept the plate cover on the car when I went to and purchased my tag today. THANKS to Felicia, Rick, Andrew, Brooke, Cy and the people working behind the scene that I never met. He listened to me....did not try to do a hardcore sales pitch....gave me options...and when I chose a car, he explained every explicit details of that car, helped me set up my iDrive and Bluetooth, then sent me on my way. My vehicle overheated on a Friday. I had it towed to TW BMW on a Monday. Typically I have to wait up to four weeks for a loaner car when having my oil changed or other regularly scheduled maintenance, but for this "emergency" I was provided a loaner car immediately upon my arrival with my car on that Monday. I spent, at the most, twenty minutes with Sterling Scott while transferring my belongings to the loaner vehicle (I had previous obligations and needed to leave immediately). S. Scott contacted me later that day to let me know where they were in the process of evaluating my car. He then reconnected with me on Tuesday, the day following my bringing my vehicle by, to inform me of the issue and the estimated time to repair. Additionally, understanding that my car was under warranty for only a few more weeks and less than two-thousand miles, Sterling conducted a thorough evaluation of other potential issues that might arise. Most importantly, S. Scott arranged to have a TW BMW employee bring my car to me and swap it with the loaner car. This is important as my time, being no different than anyone else, was already accounted for and precious little remained for me to drive almost an hour to the dealership and an hour back with my repaired car. This was not the first time that someone at TW had exercised personal initiative and created a way for me to continue working in another county while the service staff repaired my vehicle. I was an instant loyal customer after my first experience. It was like joining a family. And, their stellar BMW Service Department is second to none. On this purchase, Sales Manager, John Scanlan, who helped worked out a great deal previously on a vehicle for my daughter, really came to the table on this purchase for me with a great trade-in value and found a way to make the deal make sense. I had the pleasure of working with Shane McRay (Sales) and Ron Durler (Finance) last Saturday, 02/21/2015. Shane and I worked via phone and email all week. I then drove 6 hours to meet Shane and test drive a few cars. He was extremely knowledgeable about every car I asked about - and trust me - I asked him A LOT of questions. We test drove a few cars and he helped me narrow it down to the right car for my wants and needs. Once the car was chosen, I met with Ron to pick out the best coverage/protection plans and to sign the paperwork. He too was very knowledgeable!! Every part of my experience was smooth. My husband and I spent a while searching for our dream car. We visited a few other BMW dealerships but were underwhelmed with the service. On a whim, we found Tom Williams. We live in Atlanta but I was so pleased right from the start with Jason we made the 2.5 hour drive to Alabama to make our purchase. Jason went above and beyond to answer all of our questions pre-sale (which was so important for us being out of state). He took extra photos for us and extra care answering financing questions. It was our first time ever making a purchase through a dealership so we certainly had hesitations, but after our experience at Tom Williams we would do it again. We appreciated the no-hassle, comfortable and low-stress experience. It was wonderful that my husband and I had a chance to take our car out pre-purchase for a spin just the two of us so we could discuss in private as well. Cy helped us throughout the financing. We felt he gave us fair options and add-ons, but did not pressure us or make us feel uncomfortable throughout the process. Cy and Jason truly made our experience seamless.

I had a great buying experience from this dealership. Zac Grissett was a pleasure to work with when purchasing my BMW. Zac picked me up at the BHM airport and drove me to the Tom Williams dealership. We then took the car I was interested in for a test drive. After that we started on the financing and was able to get a great rate. Zac really did a great job after the paper work was completed. He gave me a tour of the dealership and then brought me into a room. In this room was BMW memorabilia on the wall with a car covered up with a sheet and a stand with the information about the car. I did not realize that it was my car that was under the sheet until I read the sign on the stand. When Zac uncovered the car it looked AWESOME! The 335IS was polished and the tank was full of gas! We then went over all of the features in the car in great detail. What a great time! Thank you Zac, Bev and Cy!There's good people in Alabama!!!

I'm a new BMW owner. I knew what I wanted, so I had to order it and wait. But Robert Brown kept me informed every step of the way from Germany to Birmingham! I was apprehensive about that fragile break-in period for a new car (this is my first new car in 25 years), but when I picked it up, they laughed and told me, "IT'S ENGINEERED TO DRIVE! JUST DRIVE IT!" And it has driven like a dream! (Was I really doing 95 mph to pass that car?) I didn't realize how hard all my other cars have been to drive! Tom Williams BMW is a huge dealership, so I figured I'd blend into the background after I made the purchase. Boy, was I wrong! Every time I've been there, people know my name, check on my concerns, and make sure I understand everything about my new car. The Encore Visit with Lee Kitchens was over-the-top! I ordered every gadget you can get on a BMW, so there has been much to learn! We were short on time due to my schedule, not his, but he made the most of every minute. It may not be a big deal to you, but I noticed that when he brought my car back after filling up the tank (part of the Encore experience), he replaced the seat position to MY setting. Little things count! I work A LOT, so I couldn't get out to the dealership for Karreem Battles to help me optimize my Harman Kardon sound system. No worries, he was able to talk me through it over the telephone! Al Fortunato was a prince in Service, and made me feel very comfortable. In short I highly recommend Tom Williams BMW for sales, finance, service, and the whole BMW experience!

I had my local BMW dealers (FL) searching for a vehicle with certain packages. They told me it would be nearly impossible to find this particular vehicle, so I took it upon myself to search. I found the exact X5 I wanted at Tom Williams BMW! I called to speak with a Sales Associate, and was fortunate to be placed with Larry Carpenter. I was a little leery doing a car deal out of state, and sight-unseen, especially because the transaction would be involving a trade. I Told Larry Carpenter over the phone what I needed for my trade ($2k above what CarMax offered!), and he promised me he could do it. I drove for ten hours to Tom Williams BMW, just praying that Larry Carpenter was a man of his word. Much to my relief, not only is Larry Carpenter a man with integrity, he is a customer service guru and a BMW genius! He made me feel so welcome, and put me at ease immediately, reassuring me that the numbers we spoke of over the phone were solid. He made the transaction easy, quick, and efficient. He then gave me an amazing tutorial on the myriad of features. He blessed me, and sent me on my way. He has even reached out a couple of times to check on me! This dealership provides the best experience possible when buying or leasing car. Currently, I am leasing a 2013 BMW 3 series and I absolutely love it. I have had it a little over a year and have had nothing but positive experiences with sales, finance, and service. My sales guy, Kimel, was patient and informative while I shopped different models. When I finally made a decision, the finance department was extremely knowledgable of different warranties (I ended up getting the 1 year tire warranty which I would highly recommend). Lastly, when I my car alerted me to get my oil changed which I have to mention was not only on the dash but by email ( how cool is that?!). The service department is wonderful, I scheduled an appointment and was in and out in 10 minutes with a loaner car ( a BMW 5 series). This dealership sales a top notch product and have a top notch team doing it. They truly want to help you get into the right vehicle without any judgment you might find somewhere else. I will definitely be a return customer and would recommend them to anybody!

I bought a used BMW and took to it Tom Williams BMW service to get a few questions asked and just to talk to a service adviser about the vehicle in general. I could not have been more impressed with Allen and Troy. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to do whatever it took to assure I got my questions answered and was satisfied. They did not kill me with kindness and instead were professional and friendly. I felt like I was talking to someone I could trust. I had a small issue, no fault of theirs at all, and expected to get into a discussion about the issue and fight for my side of the story. I got nothing of that all. I brought the issue to their attention and they simply said "no problem, we will take care of it", period, end of story, no hassle, no "fighting" to convince them of my side and that they should take care of it.If all dealers and other businesses that have to deal with the public face to face had employees like Allen and Troy and treated their customers the way they treated me then the world would certainly be a better place.I am relatively hard to impress and these two immediately surpassed my expectations. Give them a raise or a day off - they earn and deserve it

I just completed my second car transaction with Larry Carpenter of Tom Williams. Larry is knowledgable about BMWs but is low key and doesn't pressure a sale. Larry was the biggest part of my return business to Tom Williams. He's a class act. I like the way the dealer handled negotiations and delivery was a red carpet experience. The finance team was outstanding. Having had a previous car with Tom Williams I have also had only positive experiences with the service department. This has NOT been the case elsewhere with other brands.I will definitely work with this dealer in the future and would recommend them without hesitation.

Brought my BMW X5 to Tom Williams for servicing. Was met by service advisor Al. He made a quick review of my vehicle. Told me it was all covered under warranty and that Casey would be handling the repair work on it. Al arranged for a loaner vehicle. A few hours later he called me and told me the vehicle was finished. When I came out to pick up my X5 , it had been washed and vacuumed, and there was no charge for the work performed.

When you are forced to have (warranty) service at a particular location, customer service suffers. There's no incentive for customer satisfaction and it shows. I have been consistently inconvenienced and underwhelmed by this group. Twice I've had an 8:00 appointment which has not been looked at come ~4:00 forcing me to wait 2 hrs to get an enterprise rent-a-car. Some young weasel of a sales advisor always gives the same excuses about being really busy, never once apologizing. If you don't have time to service the vehicle, don't schedule the appointment. Bottom line. I've had a scheduled battery replacement rescheduled because they couldn't get to it as well. Anyways, they ignore service bulletins and have been a general waste of my time from day one. Detail shop they use is also sub-par. Never thought I'd be excited for my factory warranty to expire. Drive to Tuscaloosa or Decatur if you can. Rant over.

During our conversation, I told her that I was relocating to NYC and had received offers from my hometown dealer for both vehicles, however would be willing to sell them to Tom Williams if they could match the offer so that I did not have to transport the vehicles. She asked me for the VIN numbers, Mileage, and various details concerning the state of the vehicles. The following day on 1/17, following lunch I received a phone call from Pam telling me that Tom Williams would like to purchase both vehicles from me for the price we had discussed ($25,000&$38,000). I told her that was fair, however I would not be coming to the dealership to negotiate as I already had offers. She assured me that there would not be any negotiating and Tom Williams would pay the agreed amount. Shortly after, I received a phone call from Client Advisor, Chris Cole, who made arrangements for our appointments in the afternoon. (Its an hour round trip for me) Following the inspection of the vehicle, which was credited as perfect condition, I was offered $3,000 less on both vehicles than what was assure I would receive. Tom Williams BMW Sales Manager Robert Fowler contacted Pam in concern to the prices I was offered and both Pam and Tom Williams Mini Sales Manager, John Scanlon, confirmed the offers were made to me. However, Tom Williams BMW refuses to honor the verbal commitment they made to me.

Let me preface by saying we are not affluent people. We are both educators; however, we do own three BMWs. This is probably our fourth experience with Tom Williams BMW in Birmingham. None of our experiences have been pleasant, but I do feel the need to write a review based our visit today. First, our appointment was on a Monday October 28, and it just so happened to be the day of their Halloween costume contest. My husband and I arrived early for our appointment in hopes that we would be done soon enough to grab a quiet lunch together. We were told it would take approximately two hours to have car serviced--oil changed and brakes measured. For the next two hours we observed a large number of employees frequenting an apparent spread of snacks brought for the costume contest. We found it interesting that so many workers had so much free time to participate in the festivities. It was almost ludicrous. After two hours, our advisor came to speak with us about our car. He had informed us that the oil had been changed, but did we want him to see what was going on with the check engine light. Rather puzzled, we said "Well since that was the purpose stated when we made the service appointment, yes please do ." One more hour later, we were informed that we had several items that needed attention. None of which were the original problem. For $1200 plus $125 to glue the rearview mirror that had detached, they could repair all the named problems and have the check engine light go off. We opted not to have the repairs done there and told our advisor just that. After another hour, we finally asked if we might be able to get our car and go home as it was sitting in the service entrance. Four hours to have our oil changed and watching at least ten or more people have their cars serviced and returned....we assumed we were not part of the VIP service. BMW may be the ultimate driving machine, but Tom Williams is far from the ultimate service location. By the way, the check engine light went off after the regular maintenance was performed. After our maintenance warranty expires, we will not do business with them ever again.

They need older mature mechanics . The kids they use are barely over 16 ! They repair your vehicle really fast ! Also they make Mistakes! This is by far the sorriest dealership I've ever dealt with ! She was knowledgable, personable and never pressured me in any way to buy a car. She sold me a car by never trying to sell me one. All paperwork was exchanged using scans and email attachments. Only the final part, the part where I turned over a check, had to be done using originals and FedEx made it an overnight event. Ms. Burton handled all the arrangements for me to take delivery at the Performance School. All I had to do was get a flight to Greenville, SC. The Performance School experience is SO MUCH FUN! You will leave there not only with your new car, but with a huge grin on your face. Certainly mine was an experience made possible by electronics and the Internet. It was the people, however, that made it effortless. To a person everyone at Tom Williams and everyone at the Performance School couldn't have been nicer. So, let me highly recommend that you take delivery of your new BMW at the Performance School. And, if choose to do so, buy the vehicle from Tom Williams regardless where you live. The price was a good deal. Your experience will be easy and problem free. You will leave Greenville, SC with a new respect for the abilities of your car. Horrible treatment from the sales staff. NOT professional. No real knowledge of the products they sell NO follow up with the customer...repeated failure to return calls or answer questions. Answers given are not correct information..salesperson just gives random answers without knowledge...ie." it doesn't really matter if you put premium or regular gas in it."... Salespersons crowd you and offer unsolicited advice with no real awareness of the customers needs. The real deal breaker is not being able to get straight answers on the price of the car.

I purchased a GMC Sierra 2500HD from Tom Williams sight unseen. I spent a lot of time researching and found that Tom Williams had the best price on the truck that I was in the market to purchase. I spoke with James Corlew and John McLarty several times about the truck and they ran several tests on the truck to ensure that it was not in any mechanical disrepair. The truck was delivered to me in Georgia and I could not have been happier with my purchase. I also purchased an extended warranty through Tom Williams and Lily Young did a great job making sure that all of the paperwork and registration were taken care of for me. The level of patience, integrity and service that I received from James and his staff far exceeded any experience that I have had with any other dealer. Recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Tom Williams BMW. The factory warranty had expired, so I purchased a power train warranty for peace of mind. After driving the car the first day I noticed the rear end didn't feel stable, the door locks and hazard lights didn't work and brakes were squealing really loud. I immediately notified the dealership of the problems I was having with the car. They told me it would be a week later before they could get the car in to look at the car. The very next day the transmission malfunctioned (warning light came on) and I was told by one service advisor not to worry but to continue driving the car. Another service advisor recommended I bring the car in. Had the car less than a week and they kept the car for five days only to tell me that the transmission was okay, rear bushings (trailing arm)were worn out, central locking unit inoperable,and that the warranty would not cover these parts and the dealership takes no responsibility. This is the second car I have purchased from this dealership within six months and will never do business with them again. Should have had a pre-purchase inspection done. My fault and my loss. Hope this will not happen to anyone else.

Let me start out by saying that my initial contact with this dealership and its employees (our salesman being Zac) was excellent in all areas. We were not disappointed until a week after our BMW was purchased when we had to bring the car in for a rear tail-light repair. It started off by an hour long negotiation with the dealership about my concerns of water leaking through the tail-light and into the electronic trunk latch.Finally I was able to get the car in the same day rather than a week later. Tom Williams BMW was generous and gave me a loaner car in the meantime. The next day I was called and told my car was ready to be picked up.Upon driving into the dealership, I saw my red 128i BMW sitting there. I thoroughly inspected my whole vehicle and the first thing I noticed was there was 2 scratches on the front bumper that were not there before. After pointing this out to Zac, we drove around to the paint guy and he said it would have to go into the body shop. Zac had to get a manager to approve this. This is when the sales manager was extremely rude and basically denied that the incident occurred at the dealership. I was really disappointed with his attitude and his professionalism with customers. I will say that Zac stepped up to the plate and mediated the situation. I really think if you strive to have a great company, then you need to hire great people to get you there. You're only as good as your weakest link. Prior to this experience, I would highly recommend Tom Williams BMW, but now I second guess referring someone and risking them being talked down to as I was. I work in the auto industry myself and always keep in mind respecting my customers, right or wrong. It is the customers that guarantee the success of your business.

I recently purchased a used 2007 335i. As most people, I'm very skeptical of car salesmen (salemen in general). Well let's be honest... I don't trust them. However...Karreem Battles went out of his way to make the experience wonderful. It was a Christmas gift to myself and my first BMW. He literally had me in tears (in a good way and I'm not a crier). He took his time to explain everything pertaining to the car and made sure it was what I wanted before proceeding. I did not feel pressured or taken advantage of. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a BMW to contact Karreem. After my purchase, I had a few minor issues with the car (non mechnical). James Corlew (GM) was hands on and made sure my problems were resolved. He returned all calls and responded to my emails promptly. It does not get better than that.

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2008 BMW 328I Sedan in August of 2010 and everything was fine until I was lied to about the maintenance warranty. The Finance Manager lied to me about the maintenance warranty return policy; if you purchase this warranty it is not really a warranty it is a service contract and remains with the vehicle. This means that if you trade-in your car, upgrade to another vehicle or just sell it, the warranty cannot be refunded back to you. The warranty stays with vehicle, which means the new owner takes possession of the "service contract." This is a load of crap.....I decided to trade my car in because of the premium gas it used. I lived too far from work to drive the car everyday using premium gas. When I contact Tom Williams about canceling my warranties and getting a refund, I was told the maintenance warranty is non refundable unless the car is totaled out. The warranty cost over $2,000.00 and was less than 30 days old and they didn't want to refund my money. I will never purchase another vehicle from them nor will I recommmend this dealership to anyone. I will tell this - NEVER buy any of the warranties from this dealership. A good rule of thumb is to wait until your basic warranty expires and then contact other warranty companies to purchase a warranty. You'll be surprise what you can save. Also, if you do buy a used BMW, buy the CPO becuase the warranty is better than the warranty on a brand new one...trust me. A New warranty is 4 yrs/50,000 miles whichever comes first. The warranty on a CPO is 6 yrs/100,000 miles whichever comes first. One last thing, please obtain a Blue and Black Book value of the automobile you interesed in purchasing because if you don't, you could end up like me....upside down in your car when you go and trade it in. Don't be afraid to negotiate a deal...if they really want to sell it, they will work with you...trust me!!!

I received excellent customer service at Tom Williams BMW! This was my first experience with the service dept. From the initial phone call to make the appointment through the time I picked up my vehicle after service, all the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist me. The appointment setter really went out of her way to give me the information about the service process and the service history on my car. My service advisor was great and kept me informed on the progress on my car at least daily. Everyone was very friendly and it was by far the best experience I have had with an automobile service dept.

The worst car service ever. My main problems are that they overcharge,are stingy with loaner cars, and are super slow on everything from returning phones calls to the actual service. Also, they NEVER answer their phones. I ALWAYS have to leave a message for them to call me back hours later. Then, they wanted to charge me $50 for a light on my car, so I went to another service department and they charged me $8. I've started going to Momentum and I like it better.

I've owned my 2001 740iL since June of 2003. It was a CPO vehicle and came with 23,477 miles on the odometer. I've only put 13,570 miles on the car since, with most coming in the first two years of ownership. My wife and I (both retired) use it primary for long road trips. Cosmetically, the car is "showroom new" in appearance.During my ownership, the car has performed quite well. On the open road, it's a dream to drive. So far, the only major problem I've experienced was the A/C compressor going out in Dec. of '04. The compressor was replaced under warranty - no questions asked. If only the dealership would show such a response to my other (minor) complaints, I would be really pleased. You know, things like, driver's door rattle (not fixed), excessive air noise from sunroof (not fixed), poor AM reception and buzz (not fixed) and occasional (but troublesome) failure to start (not fixed).One day, a little over a month ago, the car wouldn't start no matter what I tried (e.g., trickle charged overnight and/or jump-start). The next day, after multiple attempts (key cycles), it started in a perfectly normal fashion. So, again I drove to my local oil change/tire center and had them check the battery, alternator and anything else they could think of. They couldn't find anything wrong. My next stop was the BMW dealership.With my CPO coverage set to expire in a few days, I wanted:1) My sunroof noise problem looked at again2) My sunroof to again lay flush with my roof line (Their previousadjustment had raised the trailing edge approx. 5mm above the roofline)3) My lifter-like clicking noises checked4) My starting problem analyzed.After a stay of over 20 days, this is what they found and/or serviced.My "seal for sunroof coming apart" was repaired at a cost of $258. This is interesting, since I hadn't opened my sunroof more than once or twice since their previous adjusted for wind noise (back in Jan. of '05). In addition, after leaving their service center, I soon discovered that the inside sun shade wouldn't close. This problem was fixed in about 15 minutes after my U-turn back to the dealership. Service tech stated that "new gasket hadn't been seated properly and sunroof lid was slightly out of adjustment."My complaint of "lifter-like clicking noises" on start-up after sitting. Technician "could not find any noises at this time that were abnormal."My complaint of starting problems was not written into my service request although I had specifically requested that they identify the problem. The service advisor, when asked about this, told me that "my car was started every day and that they hadn't experienced any problems." When I picked the car up that Saturday afternoon, it started fine. I didn't have any starting problems on Sunday either. However, after sitting in the garage through Monday, it wouldn't start on Tuesday or Wednesday.The next morning, I got a call from the tire center asking me to drop by if I was out and about. A few hours later, I was handed a print-out titled:E38 740I, 740IL WITH M62TU: INTERMITTENT "NO-CRANK, NO-START" CONDITIONThe head mechanic at the tire center hadn't given up on my problem and had done some research on his own. He had found the above titled service bulletin posted on some site they subscribe to. WHY DIDN'T TOM WILLIAMS BMW KNOW ABOUT THIS?

I have had many service related problems with this dealer. The first one was after 2200 miles the "check engine soon" light came on. They connected my car to the computer and it said it had two bad O2 sensors. So they replaced the sensors and the car ran worse. Over the course of two weeks they replaced sensors, replaced a $1100. computer then the car would not even run. Then they read the Factory service bulletin sent to all dealers a full two months before I bought my car and it said to replace the Ignition coils. They did that then it really really ran bad. Finally, they reset the computer (because the Ignition coils were not bad now so the computer correction was wrong) and it has been running fine ever since. 2 1/2 weeks for something that should have only taken 1/2 of a day. The second thing was when they did the 1200 mile oil change the did not change the oil. I had to call BMW NA and have them call the dealer to get them to change it. Along with that process they did not replace the top to the power steering pump. I discovered this about two months later. Needless to say I was kinda disappointed. The top slipped out of my hand when I tried to put it back on. I took it back to the dealer to have them get the top and put it back on. There is a three piece cover panel that is under the front of the car. Instead of removing the panel they used a screwdriver to pry it open. This caused the panel to hang into the wind and slap against the ground at high speeds. I almost had a accident!! I thought the berings were going out at first. Again back to the dealer to fix a problem that should have not happpened. For what it is worth I will never buy from this dealer again.

First off I have never been able to just call and make a service appointment with Tom Williams, It's always, let me get your name and number and have the person who schedules apt. call you back. And then I'm luck to get an apt within 2 weeks. There sales staff is very uncooperative, which is why I didn't purchase my car from them, and the same can be said for the service people. I wouldn't have my car serviced there either if there was another dealer in town. It's impossible to get a loaner from them, even when I have had to return the car for the service dept. to fix a problem they caused they wouldn't let me have one.

Would only recommend this dealer if there was no other resort. Customer service is poor. After having to beg for a loaner car, they tried to charge me $5.00 per day. I have not had any bad experience with the quality of work. The sales people are not very friendly at all. Once, while waiting on having my car repaired, I browsed the showroom. I never had a salesperson approach me to say "Hi" or nothing. In fact a salesperson bumped into me and didn't even say excuse me.
