I visited the location looking for a BMW I could drive in snow yet enjoy during the summer. I was uncertain what I wanted until I met Casey. Casey paid attention to my needs and wants. He allowed me to look at several series until he really knew what excited me. I ordered a new 2016 228i with the xdrive and I love it. I have played in the snow and it is a wonderful car. Recently needed a new sedan for work. Have been a Mercedes Benz customer for many years. Akeays thought I wanted a Bmw but historically was always disappointed in my dealership experiences prior to Bmw of Dayton. I move regularly and every other place I lived was disappointed. I met Casey Mousa, my sales person and now friend, early June through a friend. I live in Detroit but Casey said he could help me. Told Casey what I wanted and found me the 328 I was looking for. Made a great deal and valued my trade in sight unseen. Went to the dealership at the end of July to get my new car. I was nervous on my drive thinking this was too good to be true. Well, my dealership visit was outstanding!!! Delivery., paperwork and car review all outstanding. Before leaving I asked about a used Porsche sports car. Trusting Casey's opinion, he listened to my reasons why and then shared his opinion. Including why I should consider a new z4. Over the next several weeks I debated what to do and was traveling a lot for work but was thinking I wanted to do something. Long story short - 8 weeks later, my new z4 delivered a week ago Ftiday. Two new cars in 8 weeks thanks to Casey !!! Honest, patient and genuinely caring individual that made both deals happen.

I worked with BMW of Dayton for a custom-ordered 2016 M4! It's an awesome car! I found this dealership after having a less-than-stellar experience from several San Francisco Bay area dealers. Being in the bay area, the unfortunate side of tech out here is that a lot of people are really dumb with money and all the dealers that I spoke with basically said "we have plenty of people willing to pay MSRP, so the price is MSRP." That made me come back to my home-town of Dayton, Ohio and even after shipping and all the extra logistics, it still worked out to be a great deal in my mind. Going with Casey and BMW of Dayton was a great experience because I was no longer just a random number but instead got the attention and service I was looking for. Almost every detail of the car was customized -- paint color, exhaust, etc. Casey made the entire experience super-smooth and we handled all the paperwork before I even stepped foot inside the dealership. I was truly looking at Audi, Mercedes and BMW. One day I told my wife I was going to look at Evans Motorworks for BMWs. I told my salesmen, Casey Mousa, that I was not going to purchase the day of the visit. What really drew me near to Casey was that he was not pushy, he actually cared about me and what I wanted. Being a car guy myself, he was one of the most knowledgeable young men about cars that I have ever seen. He simply impressed me that at his age, he knew so much about new cars, old cars, all kinds of cars. Casey took time and asked me what I wanted in a car. He told me he wanted to make sure that I got the color and engine, as well as all the options I wanted. He pulled around a black BMW 335i, exactly like I had dreamed of. After taking it on a long drive, he told me about the options on this car, and why he loved BMW. I was impressed with his professionalism, as well as his knowledge of the car. He easily showed me options on the car that I never knew existed. As we returned to the dealership, I looked the car over and mentioned that I would get back with Casey. After a few days, my wife told me I should go get the car! At the same time, Casey called to see how I was doing and if I was still interested in the car. I then asked him to work up some prices and I would look them over. When we agreed to the price, Casey emailed me a form that made it easy to fill out and email back. Casey told me at the time I was thinking about buying the car, that it may be better to make that decision before the end of the month. At the time, BMW was offering cash back and special lease incentives. Casey suggested that they may change at the beginning of the month which just happened to be 1 day away. He was right, the evening of the day we went to sign all of the paperwork, BMW did change its policies but Casey and Evans motorsports still honored the deal we had already made. It is important to mention that after the sale, Casey contacted me several times about my car and asked if I had any concerns or questions. He even gave me his personal cell phone number, which I have never had a salesmen do before. I also wanted my windows tinted, and Casey advised me of the best tint. Casey came a week later and picked up my car at my office approximately 35 minutes away and left me a 2015 BMW for a loaner car, while they tinted my windows. He dropped the car off to me at my house that evening! Very impressive to say the least. So not only was Casey there before the sale, he was there after it too! That means a lot. He set up everything on my BMW the way I wanted, as well as told me about BMWs valet service, which I used when I went to the Dayton airport. I truly believe Casey Mousa is an asset to Evans Motorsworks, as well as the BMW Company as a whole. His personality and his love and knowledge of cars makes for the best salesmen that I have ever encountered. When I am ready to purchase my next BMW, I will not hesitate to return to Casey for another purchase, because I know I can depend on his vast knowledge of BMW cars as well as his laid back demeanor. My husband and I were looking at a vehicle and noticed it displayed abnormally high oil levels. We asked both Robert elswick and sales manager about it. They said "we trust our mechanics" and dismissed us as if we knew nothing. We decided to trust their mechanics, purchased the vehicle $20k later, and ended up on the side of the road in a cloud of smoke so thick you could see 5ft in front of you. We will never know all the damage that occurred bc it would require taking apart the engine and inspecting Pistons and all gaskets. They refused to extend our warranty, or help in any way other than having it hooked up to have the codes read. (You can have this done anywhere FOR FREE). The sales department will tell you they want to make sure you are happy and confident with your purchase, however will not do what it takes to ensure just that. They even admitted that their techs overfilled the engine by 3 quarts of oil which led to it blowing up and leaving us stranded. if they are so certain the car they sold us is in excellent condition after the engine blew out all the excess oil and the computer read 'decreased engine performance' WHY would they not extend our warranty? We were not asking for $ or anything unreasonable. Just some piece of mind. Perhaps a 6month warranty. They refused. They know it's now messed up, and they "have to protect the business" those are Robert elswick words. Not mine. Don't both trying to contact the manager. You will receive a line of excuses SO long it will enfuriate you.

This really has to be one of the worst places on earth. I had 2 simple questions at the dealership. they tap danced around decided to lie and tell me that everything was fine with the vehicle. on day one of driving the car i was sitting on the side of the road because i thought the engine blew up. when i talked to the dealership they gave me a big run around and after about 4 calls they decided they would run the codes for my at their expense (something you can have done at any auto parts store for free). They refused to extend any warranty. Fact of the matter is they just wanted to sale a car and be done with me. would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere!

Spoke with several dealerships when I recently decided to purchase a new vehicle. While I did come across some other companies offering good deals, once I spoke with Theo Dorian at Evans Motorworks, I knew that this would be who I would be doing business with. Have dealt with dealership before on parts & service which was fantastic. Had been looking for a car to replace my 1987 BMW 528e with 550,000 miles w original engine, when a valve ate a piston or piston ate a valve, 18 months ago. Finally found what I was looking for, 2008 Blue 328 hardtop convertible w beige interior and manuel transmission. I found it on the internet and Kasey Allen at Evans motor works BMW had the car. I have had Kasey as a salesperson previously 3 years ago when she sold us a 2006 BMW 325i and a 2001 BMW 325i . She was a wonderful salesperson with excellent knowledge, good people skills , maintained appropriate contact and looked out for us as cutomers. She gave good affordable deals esp at the BMW Store in Cincinnati. She was personable. Unfortunately she became unavailable but referred us to Sam Cotterman. Sam is an excellent salesperson too. Very personable, good people skills, excellent knowledge of cars, never rushed us, took his time with us and maintained appropriate contact with us during before and after the sale. He immediately made you feel comfortable, no preasure and took his time with us. I was thrilled he let me take the car home to show my husband. Sam always promptly returned our calls, answered our questions and if he didn't know the answer he found out. He saw to it we taken good care. We bought the car on Memorial Day weekend at closing, Sam never rushed even though closing time came and he helped wipe down the interior of the car when a pop up shower happened. Since it was after hours , the car could't be cleaned upand washed before we took it home, so Sam arranged for me to bring back the car the next week for that. Dustin in service took very good care of the car and it looked beautiful. Dustin is very personable and took care of our needs. Doug in finance was great with me. Joel did a good job of explaining things to us. Brian, Sam's supervisor was couteous to us as well. We were a little disappointed that we didn't get a better deal being it was during Memorial Day sale and ended up paying internet sticker price. Overall our experience with Evans MotorWorks BMW used cars was excellent. All were polite and courteous. The showroom was very clean and our privacy was respected. It was a professional envirement that made us feel welcomed. We will refer our friends to EvansMotor Works especially to Sam Cotterman.

Hi everyone. My wife and I recently purchased a used Lexus from JIm Evans Motorworks. We needed an SUV and we had two high mileage older cars we needed to trade in that were not worth putting any more money into. My wife called the dealership because she had heard an advertisement on the radio. We talked to Sam Cotterman and we went down to look at what they had in stock. Sam was very pleasant, friendly, and down to earth. I loved that he didnt try to sell us something out of our price range or a vehicle we were not interested in. He listened to what we wanted and we test drove a few vehicles. We chatted with Sam and told him we would talk things over and let him know. Sam was very kind and smiled and said if you have any questions just let me know. While we were test driving the vehicles we learned a little about Sam and his love for motorcycle drag racing which I thought was pretty cool. We got an email the next day thanking us for our visit and it said they have a strict no pressure sales policy. I loved that. It is one of the main if not the main reason we returned 3 days later to purchase our Lexus. We purchased a 2003 Lexus rx 300 suv and we love it! It was very well taken care of and the interior is in excellent condition. When we filled out the final paperwork we went to Doug Meisters office. He was just as friendly and unassuming. Turns out he actually knew my friend and tattoo artist Matt Clemmer. Small world. He set us up with a 24 month service warranty that we are happy with and thanked us repeatedly. When we finally were don with the paperwork{which didnt take that long} Sam pulled our Lexus inside to inspect it one last time. Thays when Jim Evans came and shook our hands and thanked us for buying from his dealership. He said he tries to shake hands with everyone who buys from his dealership. That spoke volumes to me. Jim for the people indeed. If you are looking for a new or used car and want to buy from and honest and kind group of people I highly recommend Jim Evans Motorworks. We traveled far to purchase a car from them, we were very excited as we really liked the car they had available. We however, chose to finance with our own bank. Apparently this was not ok with them... the minute we told them we were going to finance somewhere else, it was clear they decided they didn't want to sell the car to us... crazy! They attempted several times to "convince us" that we "needed" to go through them for the financing, as if we didn't understand the financing process... They did everything to make things complicated! Buying a car is already a bit stressful, but they did everything to make it worse... I would NOT recommend them.

Steve Blackburn was a pleasure to do business with..He is very personable, and knowledgeable..I have to admit after doing business with several other BMW dealerships in the past, this was the best experience in buying a car..I will be doing business with them again in the future and highly recommend this dealership...

This was my first experience with a dealership and it was a great one. Steve was very personable, friendly and went out of his way to answer any questions or concerns we had. He was willing to work with us on the price and I feel we got a fair deal. When I came to pick the car up, it was in immaculate condition just as promised. Steve changed my idea of what a car buying experience can be. They take care of their customers and I would definitely recommend Steve and this dealer to friends and family.

I bought my vehicle from Jim Hilt because he is such a great salesman and took the time to help me find the best vehicle to meet my needs. When I bring my BMWs (I have two) in for service, Jim is always available to sit and talk with. Everyone in the dealership is very nice and willing to assist. Chris Hemphill is probably the most outstanding car salesman that we have dealt with in 35 years of buying cars. He was informative, friendly and (we believe) totally honest & straightforward in exploring our decision in choosing and buying a used BMW X-3. I think Evans runs a fine dealership for the car lines they handle. We have had a Volkswagen Eos serviced (purchased prior to moving to the area) and have found the Evans service operation to be first rate, although perhaps a bit expensive.

I visited BMW of Dayton as a customer and owner of a new BMW 3 series that I purchased there. I felt comfortable to stop by for coffee and a friendly visit. Years ago I was a banker that called on Gayle McNulty and explored BMW cars. Before that I owned an MGA Roadster and loved it. Chris Hemphill took the time to show me the BMW Z4 Roadster and answer my questions. Chris allowed me to take a test drive and it was wonderful. My grandson was with me and Chris made us feel at home. Chris made us a great deal and followed up after delivery. I enjoy going to the BMW of Dayton location for service and saying Hello to my friends especially Chris Hemphill. I like the culture of the BMW location and the people. I especially like the cars and the technology as I consider my expectations very high. I certainly would recommend it to my friends. Yes, I plan to make another purchase there in the future.

Steve was wonderful! The whole experience has been great and we live almost 5 hrs from their lot. Steve even arranged for our New SUV to delivered to our house . We even signed paperwork at our house. Will highly recommend them to anyone :)

Steve helped me with a surprise purchase for my Father. We ended up with a used 2011 Toyota Coralla Sport model with 21,000 miles. The car is spotless inside and out, and I am currently serving in Afghanistan and therefore not able to be present to see or test drive the car. Steve went out of his way to ensure this car was the right one to fit my Dad's needs. He test drove it for me and told me everything he could think of both inside and out. He even measured the size of the backseat for me to make sure my Dad's bass guitar would fit. I am very happy with this purchase and the help I received in making it!

I have purchased 5 Vehicles from Evans Motor Works, (BMW Dayton, Evans VW) I have never felt less than 100% satisfied with the interaction with the sales personnel. Chris has been a perfect example of the quality of people that are employed by Evans. He is not pushy nor overbearing just plain honest and helpful! Also extremely knowledgable about his vehicles.The service Department is an excellent example of Customer satisfaction. Hagen always goes that extra step to ensure that there is no problems with your service visit and to make you as comfortable as possible. You feel at home at Evans. I would not hesitate to recommend Evans Motor Works to anyone looking for a BMW, VW, or Volvo. I would rest assured that I had steered them in the right direction.

After reading the previous comments on Mr Essick I wanted to share my experience. I have bought 3 cars from Henry, all 3 of my brothers and sister have bought and my dad has bought 2 cars from him. If you got that kind of email from him you deserved it. He is a no nonsense person and very straight forward. Evidently there is a lot more to your story than what you've written. I work for WPAFB and I know of at least 10 people here who have bought from him and they all feel like I do. I hate, absolutely hate car shopping, but buying from Henry has been almost like going to a big comedy show. He's funny, but very understanding of who people view car people. I never have to ask for a carfax, or blue book numbers because he shows them as well as the complete service records. He know a lot of the cars because he sold them orginally. Sir generally I'd agree with your story, but not concerning Henry. You must have said something to him that was way out of line for him to send you an email like that. Maybe you should share what you said. I can tell from your complain that you are a smartelic. Henry I defend you. i want a big discount on my next car. Also that guy is so stupid that he didn't realize that you don't work for Frank Z Imports. What a klutz.Mary Beth

I've had two experiences with Frank Z: The first was with their Nissan group about two years ago. I had taken my truck in to have the catalytic converter replaced (the mileage at the time was around 74K) and the service department manager was absolutely adamant that this was not covered by the factory warranty. He was rude, loud, and condescending. Long story short; I called the Nissan Corporate office on my cell phone and asked what the warranty was on the catalytic converter (answer: 100K for a 1997 truck) - then I had him call. He never apologized or explained himself and I wondered how many people he had bullied into paying $700+ for work covered by the factory warranty.Experience number two: I had sent an inquiry through their website to have a salesperson call me (why I did this after my first experience, I don't know). I received an e-mail from Henry Essick ("Used Car Internet Mgr") saying he would call the next day. The next day he did indeed call me (on speaker phone, which was nice) but I was driving at the time and asked that he call me back in 20 minutes. This morning I received this e-mail from him: "I'm deleting your application. I called you yesterday and you said you'd call me back. I don't have time to waste Mr. Xxxxxxxxx. Good luck.". You can judge this second experience however you want. Was it simply miscommunication? If so, was this the best way to resolve it?

I (and some others) researched BMW dealers in the midwest. While a couple dealers in northern Indiana got good reviews (Bill Defouw/Lafayette and Stoops/Muncie), Frank Z was closer. I dealt with Conrad Perry (who really works the Volvo side). Although I had issues with trying to get a cloth interior on my '03 330Ci, Conrad was still professional and businesslike throughout. This includes giving me the best deal upfront without the usual mickey-mouse salesman crap I got from the dealers in Cincinnati. If you're looking for a BMW (or VW or Volvo) anywhere in the area, Frank Z is worth the trip.
