I have been ripped off for over $3000 by this dealership. Do not go there. Every time I took my car in for service it had a different problem that cost additional money and supposedly was not covered under the "certified" used car warranty or the additional warranties I had purchased. These issues included brakes, electronics etc. I had also purchased the tire warranty. Which was not worth the paper it was written on! I wrote to BMW about these issues and received NO response! In addition I have never received information on the airbag recall. When my airbag light came on and I took my car to be checked I was advised that I would have to pay to have it checked and repaired. Which I did NOT do. Although the dealership is aware of this issue I still have not received notification of the recall! Do not trust this dealership!

Recently had to replace 2 keys because of theft. Explained situation to service department and that keys were needed asap to start the car. Keys would need to be ordered and vehicle towed to dealership for key programming. Receive call from service department that my keys have arrived. Wife and I make the 40 minute trip to dealership. Explain my situation to parts service rep and he gives me an envelope with supposed key. (xxx, no ID check?)I say OK and head to parking lot behind service center where had seen my vehicle. I open the envelope to find just the remote, no actual key. I try to unlock to no avail. Make the walk back to the parts center and explain car will not unlock. Rep mumbles to himself and then says "Hmmm ....yea you need the key part to open the door.. I think. You will need to wait for the key to come in." At this point I realize this guy wont be any help. He's about to send me on my way after wasting 2 hours of my time. Why would they call me to come get vehicle if I cant open the door? The vehicle was unlocked when it was towed to the dealership. Someone locked it. Now I ask if there is anyone that can unlock so we can at least drive the vehicle home. After 30 minutes, a tech comes out to open the car and we are able to finally leave. Now, 3 days later get the call that the other piece to the key has arrive and to pickup at my convenience. Wife heads down to dealership only to be told that she cant pick up key without my permission. My name on title. Ironic that I didnt have to give any ID when I picked up remote but now that I am not there they are asking for ID proof. Another day wasted cause these guys cant provide the minimum service to their customers. Ridiculous and I would not buy another BMW as long as I have to deal with the incompetence of this Myrtle Beach crew

I took my car in for repairs and the service tech made it worse. I had to end up taking the car in 4 times to get it fixed. Service Manager Mike Milligan stated he took care of some of the repairs and I was not charged for them. He also stated he fixed lights on my car. When I took in the receipt showing I paid for the items he stated he took care of he had no reply. When I asked to see the paperwork where he stated he replaced some of the lights on my car for free he told me that I should go somewhere else for service. What kind of manager tells a customer to take their car somewhere else for service. His employee was supposed to fix someone on my car in regards to the oil and ended up not putting all the oil back in my car. Same technician was also supposed to replace a gasket in my car and when I woke the next morning there was oil in my garage. When I took it back I was told the technician rolled the gasket that's why there was oil in my garage. They ended up fixing the problems after my car had to taken in 4 times. Two of the times were errors made my the service tech and in the end I got told to go somewhere else.

I would advise anyone shopping for a new BMW to be very wary of this dealership and the general manager Josh. I found a car online that I liked, went into the dealership and met with a salesman. It was a certified used BMW with a warranty. The car appeared to be in good shape, however I noticed the battery was 6 years old. This is past the expected life of a typical battery, and as anyone who has ever been broken down on the side of the road can tell you, an old battery can leave you high and dry. I never haggled on the price of the car, I showed up ready to buy and pay asking price. All I asked for was a new battery. The salesman named Thomas told me that BMW makes a special battery that lasts much much longer than "normal" batteries and I have nothing to worry about because BMW is the ultimate driving machine and their parts are top notch and their batteries last twice as long as normal batteries. I trusted Thomas, and relied on his statements and decided to go ahead and purchase the car. Turns out that replacing a BMW battery is north of $500 and Thomas completely lied to get to me purchase the vehicle. When I returned home that night, I googled excitedly about my new car - only to find out that BMW has no special patent on their batteries that give them extra long lives - they are just regular old car batteries with a normal lifespan. I felt extremely upset, knowing the price it would cost to replace something that was long past due it's expected life. Website after website that I pulled up including AAA recommended a battery replacement between 3-5 years. This battery was 6 years old and I do notice some indications that the battery is failing such as a little hesitency starting it when its cold in the morning. I was so angry, having relied on Thomas' statements only to find out I would have to come out of pockets hundred of dollars right away on my new car - I called and requested to speak the the manager. I remembered that Thomas had advised me that I should give him top marks on the customer survey when BMW corp called me, because anything less than 10's gets them in trouble. I left a voicemail for Joshua, the manager of the car lot the very next day letting him know my findings, and if we can't discuss and reach a mutual agreement, I would have no choice but to leave poor marks on the survey I was warned about that I would receive via email. Josh did not return my call that day, he called the next day. Little did Josh know, I recorded the phone call between he and I. During the call, John also stated that the BMW batteries were special and had much longer life spans than a typical battery. I immediately advised I had spoken to BMW corp as well as consulted numerous websites and that was simply untrue. I advised him I would not have purchased the car knowing I had to make a $500 repair upon purchase, but I was deceived and as a result, my experience was poor. He told me he would check with his shop and call me back. Josh never called me back that day... I had a strange feeling, so I called BMW corp and explained what was going on. It was not the fact that I didnt have the $500 - it was purely principal. I expect that when I make a major purchase at such a top notch company as BMW, I will not be met with lies, fraud, and misrepresentation to get me to purchase a car. Again - I did not haggle. I don't think asking for a good battery on a supposed certified used vehicle is asking too much when it's the ONLY ask literally. I had a funny feeling that night, so I called the corp office and the young man told me that my email address (the email that BMW emails surveys out to) was submitted by the dealership WRONG in the system - so I would be prevented from receiving a survey at all. Thanks Josh... now I know why he never returned my call. The next day I emailed him and told him the jig was up, I called and found out they changed my email, and what exactly was he planning to do about the battery. He replied that they planned to do nothing - told me I was basically a horrible person and they had a "buffer" in their survey that would account for the poor marks I plan to leave, and go pound sand and stated that the store owner agreed. For anyone who doubts my story - please email me. I have the phone call I recorded Joshua stating that BMW batteries are "special" and have longer lives than a "normal" battery, and copies of emails where Josh basically told me to get lost. I offered to sit down with him and the owner and find a resolution we can both live with, since I could be a customer for years to come needing service, etc and he told me his decision was made. I have bought Toyota's for years and have friends who have purchased Mercedes and BMW and Lexus in Charleston area with top notice service. I caution anyone to stay far from Myrtle Beach Automotive Group / BMW... unless you want to risk being misled by their sales people just to make a sale.

WE BOUGHT A USED CAR FROM STEVE TODD BUT HE TREATED US LIKE WE WERE BUYING A NEW HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR. HE ALSO MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE WOULD ALWAYS BE JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY IF WE NEEDED HIM. COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER PERSON TO DEAL WITH. HE WAS HONEST AND NEVER PUSHED US IN ANY WAY.

This is my 7th car purchase from this dealership. They are fantastic to work with and always go the extra mile to make sure I get everything I want and around my schedule. The only reason I gave them all 5's is because I couldn't give them all 10's! I definitely recommend them for new and used car purchases - you won't be disappointed!

I have been dealing with Mr. Bauer since 2007 and have purchased multiple cars from him and this dealership. I live in Columbia, SC and every time I look at my local dealers I get a lot of lip service and not much else. I rated everything great because it is. These people deliver my vehicles to Columbia, I sign the paperwork which is always in order and the transaction takes 30 minutes or less. I am able to negotiate via the internet and email, on price and model. All the vehicles are clearly represented and are pictured on a very easy to navigate web site. Buy your BMW or Mercedes from these guys and you will never use another dealer!

My experience purchasing my new BMW could not have been better. The dealership is immaculate and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I felt the sales staff was very informative and trustworthy. They handled every detail of my sale with care and professionalism. The service area is beautiful and even has a play room for my son. I will definitely be purchasing my future vehicles here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great, stress-free experience.

The owners and staff at Myrtle Beach Automotive are top notch. I purchased my new BMW from them and could not have asked for more friendly, helpful sales and finance teams. I purchased the car from out of state and appreciated how they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and that all my questions were answered to satisfaction and in a timely manner. I recommend this dealer to friends and will definitely purchase my next car here.

I shopped nearly every dealer in North and South Carolina and Myrtle Beach Automotive is hands down the best (and least expensive)! I purchased an E350 AND a BMW from Damien Shaw and have been more than happy! Not only did Myrtle Beach have the best price, but the service is everything a Mercedes-Benz/BMW dealership should be be!

I bought a used BMW here in Nov 2010. I learned not too long after I bought the car that the dealer had neglected to tell us about repairs made to the car. The repairs were made at their dealership and I specifically ask to be informed of all repairs. When I contacted the dealership to fix the poor repairs done, I was told I needed to bring the car back to them for the repair and anything done at a closer dealership would not be covered. I do not live in the state of South Carolina, so was not able to get the bandaids they placed on the car fixed. All aspects of the dealership were good except for the actual salesmen. The salesmen are shaddy!
