We are new to Omaha, recently moving from Denver. We have a 2002 X5 that we have shipped to Ghana 5 years ago for use while we're there several months each year. For the longevity of the car, we always buy certified BMW parts and take them with us to Ghana for installation, even including oil filters. My husband bought an engine mount in Omaha and went to our usual Ghanaian mechanic to install it. The mechanic informs him that this is an after-market part. He points out that the old part is flexible and has some give, but the new one does not. I contacted BMW USA. They told me that the dealership can sell whatever they want; BMW USA recommends that they sell only BMW certified parts, but cannot restrict the dealership's decisions. She suggested I try to negotiate something with the dealer. This car hasn't given us a moment's trouble since we bought it in 2002. Maintaining quality parts is essential to maintaining the car in our opinion. Maybe we'll have to order parts from Murray Motors in Denver or drive to Lincoln. Both are ridiculous options, but I'll do what I have to do.I would also suggest that customers make sure they are using certified BMW parts on your vehicles. My husband asked if this was a certified BMW part and was told, "of course". But it didn't come in the typical BMW packaging. If you don't check and you never see the packaging, how will you know?

This place really is a joke. The new ownership has not improved anything as far as I'm concerned. Started off charging me for maintenance and basic mech service even though I bought extended insurance and service warranty. Took over a week for them to track down that I in fact did have a warranty. They did refund most of the charges after they found it. I complained about loss of power service warning on numerous occasions and had low oil on numerous occasions. Only to have them tell me they can't find anything. After my warranty expires I take it in for same thing and wow they found a bad gasket that was causing oil leak and loss of power to the tune of over $2000. I get it fixed at my expense after they refused to take any responsibility at all. These repairs took days longer than they said it would with no loaner. I leave and drive 5 miles and get some warning. I call them and leave a message right away because I picked it up at closing and no one answered. Never even a call back. Now I call because the back window fell of the track and doesn't roll up. They tell me over two weeks for an appointment w loaner and 10 days for service appointment without loaner. This place is a joke. I'd never buy anything for this place again. I'll drive to Lincoln or Kansas City and recommend anyone else to do the same.

Give this dealer another shot. They've recently changed hands (H&H bought them). Gave a good value for my trade-in and were easy to negotiate with on my purchase. They are currently striving for better customer service, aware of their past reputation. And have people monitoring them to ensure they do so. They also didn't hold their 'certified used' label hostage as some precious holy item like BMW of Lincoln does (and others in the region).
