I'll be the first one to say it, I don't enjoy going to car dealerships. There is always a sense of being pushed to make a purchase at a price higher than anticipated with less than desirable financing terms. It just seems as though the salesperson's interests are not in line with my own and it makes the whole experience uncomfortable.I am pleased to say my recent purchase experience was nothing like that. I had researched the car that I wanted and was going to Boardwalk Honda for this specific car, which I will mention had started at a fantastic price (best within a 50 mile radius of my home). With that I arrived at the dealership and similar to the other review I was greeted at the door by Tariq. He welcomed us in and asked how he could help us.I let him know the vehicle that we were interested in and Tariq did not hesitate to have the vehicle quickly pulled out front for a test-drive. I was half-expecting the salesperson I met to try to upsell me into another vehicle or give me grief over purchasing what was most likely one of the least valued cars on the lot; not with Tariq. He seemed overjoyed to get to know me and assist in giving me the smoothest experience purchasing this vehicle.From that initial point onward, it just got better. Tariq kept everything absolutely no pressure, making me feel comfortable with the vehicle and all of my options. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and the process, giving us enough space to look over the vehicle, and being a great host while we were at his desk. He was making a point to deliver the best customer experience. We even had a good laugh when I let him know that I had done my research even on him on this site as well as Google reviews.He firmly believes in listening to the customer and doing what is best for them. He is a genuine person that cares about the customer which in my experience is extremely rare to find. His efforts surely will drive repeat customers through the relationships that he is creating. I for one would not hesitate to return (if nothing else but to stop in and say hello). The rest of my experience at Boardwalk Honda was trouble-free. Even managed to whittle them down on the vehicle price which was again already a great deal.I am a very satisfied customer!

Decided on a white Odyssey over Labor Day sale. Brian is a great salesman. No pressure - no hype - very knowledgeable, fine sense of humor. Helped us get the white EX and had the patience to answer our questions.The keyless entry system took some time getting used to. I wish the CD player accommodated 5 discs rather than only 1. Facility recently renovated - very comfortable and efficient service. Beautiful Van.

I heard great things about Boardwalk Honda and was looking forward to purchasing my new car there. I am disappointed to say my entire car buying experience was extremely frustrating and drawn out over a period of WEEKS, even though I was promised my new car a few days after test driving it. After finally getting my car, I returned a few days later for installation of my remote start. I became even more frustrated when I found my car part had not been ordered, after I had already waited 45 minutes. I returned the very next day and was promised my car part would be there and I would be in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes with a loaner car. AGAIN, I waited over 45 minutes. When I returned to pick up my car after service, no service advisors were even present to show me how to use my remote start. I called the dealership on two separate occasions, about a week apart, to discuss problems with my remote start and application of Resist All, which I had purchased when I purchased my vehicle. No one from Boardwalk has even returned phone calls, even after I was told my call would receive priority since it was my second call. If I could do this over again...I would never have purchased from this dealership.

I went in to Boardwalk Honda of EHT to purchase a new car. As soon as I got there I was welcomed with a big smile by Tariq. I was stuck between an accord coupe and accord sport. Tariq took his time to go over the features of both cars and how they compare with each other. He didn't pressure me towards a car. He left the decision up to me. He was very patient with me while I made up my decision. I took home a new 2016 Honda Accord sport. I usually dont like to leave negative reviews, however this one I feel is necessary so that others are careful about shopping here. Overall, the customer service is downright not on par with the quality of the product they sell. The manager Dana or whatever his name was appears rude and downright disrespectful. Finally when we were going to make the deal I extended my hand to shake his hand and he just walked away and did not even say sorry for not returning the hand shake. He kept talking down about the trade in which was a beautiful and well kept car. This is not very professional in my opinion and I have worked in customer service and Sales for over a decade. And its not just him, the sales person stated they could not even provide us with a copy of the window sticker so that we could compare the options on the particular vehicle we were considering. We could not see the exact invoice. We went to plenty dealerships and they had offered the invoice whenever the request was made - just not here for some reason. I used to love this brand but now for my own future needs as I will be shopping for a new SUV soon, will certainly not come back here for that. I also do not recommend this place to anyone. The entire experience with over 3 or 4 sales people and 1 manager has been sub-par to say the least. They need to shop their competitions and get more extensive training of what customer service means. Plus it takes forever to finalize a sale. They seem very pushy and only concerned about making a sale. A customer is just a number in their eyes and who likes that.

I recently bought a 2016 Honda Civic EX. My salesperson was Tanim Chowdhury. Tanim gave me great customer service and I would definitely recommend Tanim if you're shopping for a car! What I liked about Tanim was that after the sale he just didn't send me on my way. He thanked me, he took his time to check my trade-in to see if I left any items behind, he reviewed all the features on my new car, and he told me not to be shy and to call him with any future questions. My 11 year old daughter loved the free trinkets Tanim gracefully gave her. I don't plan on buying another new car for quite a while but when the time comes I most definitely will ask for Tanim.

Everything went quickly even though they were busy. Jack helped negotiate most of the deal over the phone/email to save me time before coming to the dealership. Jean had the paperwork done quickly. The whole sales staff was very helpful when it came to explaining all of the features in our new Civic (seriously, test drive one of these.. it has the tech of a 7-series BMW..). Tamir had exterior protection added on for us, gave us key chains for both fobs, everyone went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I live less than a mile from Burns Honda, attempted to give them my business, they couldn't beat the deal I got at Boardwalk Honda. The new facility they're building is almost done as well, I look forward to checking it out when I go back for my first scheduled service. A+ experience!

I love Honda and I've been customer at this dealership for almost three years. It's time to change my car now and my husband and I were decided to stay with Honda. Can't tell you how we surprised when our new sales man (Tanim R. Chowdhury) gave us attitude when we started talking about numbers. When we told him the price range we are looking for, he started laugh, packed his stuff from the table and made us leave. I surprised that he didn't discuss any (!) options that I can have for this price. He made us feel bad and disappointed.Guys, don't get me wrong, Honda is a great brand, I'm really enjoy to drive it, but just be careful with this sales man. He had bunch of rewards on his table, like "The best sales man (or something like that) 2015, 2014" etc, but honestly I have no idea how did he get it with this way of customers service.

I appreciate the fact that my sales person went out of his way to find me the used vehicle I was looking for in such a short period of time. I also appreciate the fact that he met me half way on what I wanted to pay, but I find it totally rude, immature and unprofessional for the manager to speak to a customer (who is a professional) in a harsh manner. Especially when the customer is speaking in a calm and professional manner You don't say to them "Oh you think you know everything don't you". Sounds like something a 10 yr old would say. Not a sales manager. I don't understand how a manager could conduct himself in this manner. I don't believe any business can afford to just throw away a customer in this economy within Atlantic County.

On 12/3/2015 I was in search for a new car due to an unfortunate car accident. I knew what I wanted and it was not a very simple request (Specific Color, make, model, transmission, year, pricing/monthly payment preference) after already searching and requesting quotes from various dealerships from North Jersey to South Jersey , I did not find it to be likely to find what I wanted. Then I stumbled upon this website "DEALERRATER" in search for a good dealership and sales person with a good reputation and Tariq Hassan was the guy to contact. Before being able to reach out Tariq, he coincidentally sent me an email to offer his services. So, I called him back; he asked me what I wanted and that he would get back to me if he found anything matching my very specific request and wanted to do all he could do to help me. He called me back in less than five minutes excited that the dealership had exactly what I was looking for down to the color. He asked me to come in, but because I was without a car I asked if I could do everything over the phone. I completed the pre-credit application online. And was fortunate to speak to the loan manager Jean the next day 12/4/15, who also went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. He was able to get my loan approved at a great rate, I was able to get the pricing/monthly payment preference I was looking for. Tariq offered to have someone pick me up at my location that was 40min away from the dealership since I was without my own transportation but, I was able find a ride that same evening and by 8pm I was greeted in the parking lot by Tariq, Jean, the manager and other staff to show me my new vehicle. It was a very exciting moment. They moved mountains for me to make this deal go through at a great price. I bought a vehicle in less than 24hrs from my initial conversation with Tariq, sight unseen, I took his word for it that he found what I was looking for. And I couldn't be happier. I am a very happy customer. And a proud owner of a 2015 Honda Accord. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone that would listen. Tariq is by far one of the most genuine and gracious sales representatives I've ever dealt with, he gives car sales a good name and reputation. I never felt I was being taken advantage of or getting a poor deal. Again, I bought a car sight unseen. That should speak volumes to anyone looking to buy a car. Jean and Shanise went above and beyond. I was turned down or asked to pay ridiculously high down payments by everyone else but Jean found a way out of no way. I told him about all the recalls my 2012 chevy Cruz had and the check engine light coming on. Told him that I didn't feel safe driving 45 minutes to work every day in my car and he managed to get me into a 2015 Honda Accord. I'm eternally grateful.

I actually ended up at Boardwalk Honda because another salesperson sold my vehicle at another Honda Dealership up the road. I went back online looking for another vehicle and soon as i went to a certain website Boardwalk Honda popped up, I was really skeptically about purchasing a vehicle locally (prices are to price high) but i seen (2) vehicles i wanted, GREAT mileage and even better a GREATER. I greatly recommend Shanise Callahan who was my sales person. SHE was wonderful. Very caring, helpful and sincere. She made sure that my car had exactly the specification that I wanted. I enjoy switching my car every couple of years and I have worked with several sales reps and I must say that Shanise is the best! My experience with the car dealer was less then perfect. After I signed the paperwork and the car was officially mine the following day a finance manager called stating they made an error on the price quoted that it should have been more. Well that was not my mistake and obviously I was not going to pay more for the car. At the end it all worked out. Word of advise always keep your original quotes.So I weigh the good and the bad, I had a marvelous experience with Shanise and also with Brian who helped me get a great leather package. The car looks and runs wonderful and I am very pleased with my HR-V. Thank you Shanise!

Living more than 40 miles from the dealership assistance via phone was imperative. I didn't want to go back and forth to make a deal. I called this dealer and Shanise C. took the call, listen to what I was saying and said she would be back to me within an hour. She did get back to me with a proposal and even offered to drive the 40 miles to my home so she could show my wife and me the car. I was amazed! We agreed on the deal over the phone and I gave her a deposit via AMEX over the phone. Since I had totaled my previous car I was in a hurry to pick up the new car and I told her that I would be at the dealer the next day. She asked that I call her when I was heading to the dealer. This I did and found the deal to be as Shanise presented, no surprises. And, while there I found out from one of her fellow workers that she had come in on her day off to met us and deliver the car. I was on my way to vacation down the shore with friends and family when my previous car (2001 Toyota Corolla) broke down in Virginia (I live in South Carolina currently). I had to take a rental the rest of the 400 mile journey. When the mechanic told me I would need a whole new engine I decided it was time to purchase a new car. Feeling downtrodden I went with my friends to a few dealerships. All of them had a nice selection but the customer service was terrible. I waited a very long time to walk away with nothing. Finally we were passing by Boardwalk Honda just looking at a few cars on the front lot when an angel came out of the dark. It was Shanise! She asked me some qualifying questions and immediately said "I know what you will like!" She came around the corner with a beautiful 2012 Honda Civic LX. I test drove it and immediately I knew that this was the car for me. Shanise helped me to get excellent financing even though I couldn't put a whole lot down on the car. (I spent the majority of my paycheck on the rental). She got all of the paperwork situated while I went to lunch with my friends. When I came back she handed me the keys and off I went. I am absolutely in love with this car and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an economical but sporty looking car. If you are in need of a new car or just want to upgrade I would hands down not go anywhere else but Boardwalk Honda. Make sure you ask for Shanise because she will make sure you leave very happy and satisfied. I know I did!

Went to Boardwalk Honda to take at look at the new Honda HRV and there I met Tariq Hassan, the nicest and down to earth salesman I have ever met. We took the car for a test drive, instantly loved the vehicle and bought it. While I already had knowledge of the vehicle's features and car itself (been following this car since it was first announced), he acknowledged it and didn't just stuff info that I already knew down my throat like other salesman do and I really appreciated that. I was referred by a wonderful employee, Jeannie Newport, to a relatively new salesman(new to Honda, that is), Larry Almonte. He was great! He was not the typical pushy used car salesman the car dealership industry is known for. I had concerns buying a used car for the first time and he quickly addressed all of them. He even provided his cell number should I have any concerns about the car once the purchase when through. I am very happy with my certified 2013 Honda Accord Sport and feel I got a very fair deal. I have reached out to Larry since the purchase approximately 5 weeks ago for some minor issues with my car and he immediately set up an appointment for me for service on the date and time I wanted to come. If you want the best salesman around you want Tariq Hassan! I have had the best experience ever with him. I went to a few other dealerships and was not at all satisfied with the salesmen. They were all very pushy, put me under a lot of pressure, and just didn't seem to care about my wants and needs in a car. Tariq is the exact opposite of all that. DO NOT GO THERE FOR SERVICE!!! I had my Honda CRV there 3 times for a window recall. It is STILL not fixed right, it has been a year. The service rep asked me not to trash him on the Honda survey about service. He lost part, then changed wrong part, then had my car 4 hours and 'forgot' about it and needed to get part (while I waited). Well, my drivers window is stuck in the down position and I can not get an appointment! Did I say this will be 4th time and it is a recall! They refuse to change whole unit, they patch it. Not what recall says!

I woke up this morning like a kid on Christmas. I had decided to lease a 2014 Honda Civic Ex coupe and had been thinking about it all night. I went to Boardwalk Honda with my significant other. As a female, we're told it's best if we don't go to a car dealership by ourselves. I now know why. Our salesman was so sarcastic and condescending, I left the dealership in tears wondering what I could have possibly have said or done to have deserved such bad treatment. I have such a bad taste in my mouth, I've decided to not even to through with the new purchase at all.

I had initially visited the site and sent a contact request to the dealership, and instantly I received a phone call from Steve Bongiovanni. We set up an appointment to meet that Friday to discuss a possible lease. Steve came in ON HIS DAY OFF to help me. He is a wonderful person and I really enjoyed my experience leasing my car from him. He is the type of person that will bend over backwards to help you, and get you the best deal possible. He is extremely professional and loves his job, which shows in the quality of his work. I would HIGHLY recommend dealing with Steve Bongiovanni as your sales associate. Extremely helpful and friendly. Aside from him, the dealership was very clean and the staff I had encountered that day were very friendly and professional. The dealership was clean and had a lot of vehicles to offer. I will recommend Steve and Boardwalk Honda to any and all of my family/friends interested in buying a car!

This is the second car we've bought from boardwalk and I couldn't be more pleased. Mr. Tariq Hassan was our salesman both times and I wouldnt want anyone else. He works very hard to get the best deal possible as quick as possible. Because of our great experience with him for our first car he was the first person we called when we were in the market for an SUV as our second car. Last week we informed him we were back in the market and within a week we got a call from him about a beautiful Nissan pathfinder which we just bought yesterday. This guy is amazing! This is my 6th lease with Boardwalk Honda 1 Accord, 5 CR-Vs. Each time it has gotten easier and quicker. Tanim made sure I was familiar with the accessories. Even though this was my 6th Honda there is always new technology to learn. There were no surprises at the end of the transaction. Tanim was very friendly and very informative. I highly recommend Boardwalk Honda!!!

My experience with boardwalk honda was horrible. I was talked to like a child also on multiple occasions I found my vehicle on there lot in danger of being damaged. They told my father that I'm a liar even though they made multiple untrue statements to me and my father stating that the removed parts to investigate my claim that the never even unbolted. I was forced to remove my vehicle off there lot after my warranty claim was denied. I received my parts back in multiple boxes. They didn't include some of my parts when the vehicle was originally picked up. The technician that worked on my vehicle broke numerous electrical connections when disassembling my vehicle. This is my first honda vehicle ownership and most likely will be my last because how I was treated by not only honda corporate but the staff at boardwalk honda. I was subjected to being told I abused my car and my claim was denied solely on the fact that I'm a 23yr old owner of a honda civic si. I wouldn't refer a dog to boardwalk Honda because of the way I was treated and the mess I have been left to clean up. I have never seen such horrible work performed by a dealer after all of my experience of being a former ford and Chevy owner never have I been so disrespected while filing a warranty claim.

We were very happy with our trade in and up. Sam worked out a great deal and we love our new car. The new technology is a welcome addition. We are getting so much more with our new Accord EXL. This is the third Honda we have bought from Sam since 2009. Each one an improvement in driving and comfort. We will come back to this dealership when our lease is up.

There are not enough words to describe my experience at Boardwalk Honda in Pleasantville, NJ. We were greeted by the most friendly Sales Associate, Mr. Tariq Hassan. My daughter and I came to Boardwalk to purchase her very first car! We were able to navigate their website and schedule a test drive for a vehicle we selected from their Used/Pre-Owned inventory. When arrived, we explained to Mr. Hassan our situation (finances, the type of car my daughter wanted, warranties, etc.) and he was able to not only show us the vehicle but work very hard to give us the best value possible. Needless to say, we came in at 12pm, my daughter and I drove away in her beautiful 2006 Honda Civic 2 and 1/2 hours later! WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE! COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, UNDERSTANDING, RESPECTFUL, PLEASANT, THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON! I am greatful my daughter and I decided to come to Boardwalk Honda! When I initially drove this vehicle off the lot (a pre-owned 2008 CR-V), I immediately heard that the rear wheel bearings were in need of replacement. When I brought this to the service team's attention, they took the car in for servicing. When I picked up the car, they claimed that the two rear tires were swapped out with a different set of used ones. This was apparently an effort to mask the sound of the "groaning" wheel bearings. I was not satisfied with this service, so I left the car with them again to replace the bearings. When I picked up the car, they said that they put a new set of tires on all four wheels. When I asked why they did this, I was told that they initially thought that the noise was due to the type of tires. I was then told that they replaced the bearings after their diagnosis of the "faulty" tires was incorrect. If this was the truth, then why did they leave the new (costly) tires on my car? The noise is still there, but not as noticeable as before. They also could not provide me with a work order that showed the wheel bearing (and tire) replacement service. I gave up because it basically boils down to a "their word vs. mine" situation. I feel like they "pulled one over" on me, but at least I know that my Honda is an otherwise reliable car, and I hope to have many years of "better" luck with it. That being said, I want to strongly emphasize that the sales team was outstanding and very courteous. My parents purchased a 2013 CR-V a few months prior to my purchase, and the ONLY reason that I went to Boardwalk Honda was because of the outstanding service that was provided by Tariq Hassan. Tariq is VERY good at his job. He is a people-person, and I don't remember the last time that I've met someone as friendly and courteous as Tariq. He has made many efforts that go above and beyond the normal sales representative's duties, such as remembering my parents' names and calling them on the phone just to say "hello" on occasion. Tariq is such a nice guy, and I believe that Honda should use his customer service skills as a template for training new associates. Good job Tariq!

I write this review because never in my life have I gotten the service I got at boardwalk Honda. They greeted us at the door, and Tariq Hassan my sales person was amazing. Amazing is to small of a word to describe How great he took care of my mother, son and me. He made sure I was satisfied with my vehicle and went above and beyond. This was the best service that I ever got in my whole entire life. My husband decided it was time for a new car, he went to Boardwalk Honda spoke with Sam Pendelbury, and decided to bring me back in the next day (which was my birthday). While I was not sure which model I actually liked (and can be quite picky), Sam took the time to walk me through EVERYTHING! We finally decided on a Black Black 2013 Honda Civic si. I would not buy another car from this dealership with any other salesman. Tariq should be running the place, or at least give "professionalism in the workplace" classes to the other employees there. My overall experience at boardwalk honda was great. Right upon entering the dealership lot i was greeted by a gentleman named Tariq Hassan. Very professional, nice, and wasted no time getting right to business. He worked with us and tried everything possible to get us into the car we really desired. As the end result he got us a decent deal after all of the hassle and headaches we put him through. I would advise anyone who is looking for a preowned or new car to deal with Tariq Hassan. He not only cares for his customers when they purchase the car but even after. He personally called me a few weeks later to see how everything was and how we liked the car. Mr. Tariq is a great salesman and also a great gentleman to deal with. I would definetly purchase vehicles from boardwalk honda in the future. I also will let all my friends and family know how great of a dealership this is. They also gave me brand new stock floormats for free. My 2008 Honda Civic si is wonderful. After a very unpleasant visit to another area dealership, I called to Boardwalk to inquire about a new Civic. I asked for the finance manger and was immediately transferred to him. I explained that I had bad credit and was getting the run around at this other dealer (Causeway Honda). He ran my credit and told me that he could help so I decided to make the trip down to Boardwalk. Upon arrival to the dealership I was greeted in a professional manner and introduced to a polite and friendly salesman named Tariq Hassan. Tariq then helped me to pick out a vehicle and took me for a test drive. Upon returning from the test drive my decision was made and we went in to do paperwork. The Boardwalk staff made quick work of this process and at no point made me feel any pressure. I was in and out in less than two hours with a new car! Overall I would rate this by far my BEST car buying experience to date! I would recommend Boardwalk Honda to anyone!!!A huge thank to the Boardwalk team!

When I called to set up an appointment Bethany was very helpful. I also received a follow up call reminding me about the appointment. Once I arrived, Tariq was super friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in. He understood what I was looking for in a car and did not try to push any other makes or models. He also understood that I have a busy schedule and did not take up any of my time unnecessarily. The only thing that could've been better was the price. But then again the price of a car can always be better.

My husband and I stopped in 10 minutes before closing time, just to have a few questions answered, with no intention to buy that night. We were greeted at the door by Tariq immediately. He asked us a few questions, and took us around the lot showing us some cars that might work for our needs. I fell in love with the first car he showed us, and we sat at his desk well after closing discussing numbers. He made us comfortable with our decision to purchase this car. We just drove it home, and I could not be happier. He was so nice, and easy to talk to. He stayed late on New Years Eve to make sure everything went through. It was our first experience buying a car from a dealer, and he made it so easy for us. I would definitely return to buy a car from him again in the future. We filled out our application for the financing and were a little iffy because we were unsure about our credit. We waited a while and Tariq told us he would contact us in the morning (we are locals). Tariq called us first thing with the great news! Not only did they get us approved, they got us into a better car! Gene also had a HUGE part in making it happen. Our experience was wonderful!

Our sales person, Grace Morris, provided exceptional service. My wife and myself, knew very quickly, that she was a person we could trust. She provided full and understandable explantations to all our questions, and to the questions that we didn't think of but should have. Grace brought us through all the complicated features of our new Odyssey so clearly that the next day I was able to make all the settings to customize the features for myself without referring to the manual. Our finance manager, Kerry Gallagher, ushered us through an amazing plethora of forms and paper work in a most pleasant and efficient manner. Bobby was GREAT!!!!!!!! We went to Boardwalk Honda to look for a used CRV. He did a great job explaining everything. He is very knowledgeable about all the models he has on his lot. This dealership is awful! The workers are friendly but they have to be when all they do is lie! They do not perform a check on their used cars as they say they do because if they did they would have been aware of the battery that was completely dead 12 hours after purchasing it as well as the electrical issues! They have no consideration for their customers and when "working" on the car (or i should say turning the check engine light off and saying nothing is wrong) the service men tracked black all over the cream colored rugs! Not to mention taking 2 months and still waiting for the tags!This is just a few of the issues we have encountered over the past two months!

Wow - this is my best buying experience at a car dealership. My prior experience was a very horrific one and I went to Boardwalk Honda with a preconceive notion of yet another bad experience. However, I left there with a change of mind and heart. Imagine working into a dealership and 1 hour later you are done. That was my experience at this dealership. The car I had in mind was ready and waiting on me on my arrival. During negotiations, the dealership did not try to sell me various stuffs that I don't need in order to reap me off like most dealership do. Prior to my arrival at the dealership, my contact person (Sam Pendlebury) called me to obtain all my information and was very patient and professional. Although, I was difficult over the phone, which was as a result of my prior bad experience dealing with car dealers. The price of the car was very reasonable and the dealership was open and willing to work out something for me. One last thing, like most dealership do, they did not try to talk me into paying a deposit so that they can tie/lock one into a deal. Sam of Boardwalk Honda did not try to do that and I think this is because they were very sure of the car/deal they were offering me. I will definitely recommend this dealership and they will be my first stop the next time Im in the market FOR ANY CAR and not just Honda

This is our second car from Kraig Friedman and the sales team at Boardwalk Honda. We couldn't be happier with the transaction from start to finish. They're friendly, accommodating and a true team when it comes to working with their customers. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to pay and Kraig and the Honda team wouldn't stop until they found it. Kraig also took a lot of time in explaining the new car's features and functions which was also very important to me. He could have been out on the sales floor selling more cars but he chose to sit in the car with us until all our questions were answered. Dont buy a car from boardwalk Honda. Buy a Honda, but don't buy it there. My 2002 Honda crv broke down on the way to the airport as I was going on vaca to Florida. Called from Florida and spoke with bill causland, from boardwalk Honda, and told him I was desperate for a car when I get back from Florida. I had previously been in that dealership test driving cars. I knew that I wanted to buy a 2012 crv exl. Bill said he would call me back, 3 days later, he never called me back, called him said I really wanted to know what crvs they had on the lot, he said he'd call me back, no call back from bill, called him back on Friday, not hearing back from him all week. I was upset and told him needed to speak with a mgr, joe, guess what? He never called me back. I bought a crv in Florida and had to drive it home. Boardwalk Honda did not want my business. The Florida deakership was so nice and helpful. Called Brian bromell, the gm, and he actually called me back, however, he seemed not to care of how badly I was treated at boardwalk Honda and how I was extremely inconvenienced I was. His overall attitude was, oh well sorry! Hmm, I love my Honda, but you deserve good treatment from a dealership, so don't buy a car from boardwalk!! Go elsewhere!

I priced my car on the internet before going to the dealer.When I arrived I was referred to Tariq. He let me test drive the 4 and 6 cylinder EX-L versions of the Accord I was considering. The next day I decided that I wanted the 6 cylinder and a color which was not in stock. I completed the paperwork in around 1/2 an hour.They located the car color I wanted at another dealer. The trade in value was less than I expected, but the Trade-in manager said he was shopping my trade around to increas the trade in value.Finally they met the price and trade values I was quoted on line and delivered the color choice I wanted. At every stage the Salesman, Tariq, and the manager, Brian Broomell, I had to deal with were always professional and friendly. I do feel this was one of my best car dealer experiences ever.

I bought a Honda Pilot in 2007 at Boardwalk Honda. I truly loved that truck! It had a gorgeous color (Pacific blue) and it had the smoothest ride I ever experienced in a personal vehicle. There was NEVER a thing wrong with my Pilot. I took care that it received regular service, and, therefore, it served me well. When it was time to replace the 2007, there was never a doubt that I would return to Boardwalk. It turned out to be an excellent move again. MY 2012 Honda Pilot is a beautiful color (silver) and I am thrilled with the upgraded electronics.Of course, all this was made possible with the energy and experience of Grace Morris, salesperson. She spent time to guide me through the buying process; was kind to thoroughly instruct me in the new upgrades; generously shared three wallpapers for my screen; invited me to the dinner for new buyers; called me to check that everything was fine; and showed warmth and concern that surely is above what buyers normally find in other dealerships. All your employees that I had business with were excellent - J. Williams from sales, and K. Gallagher in finance. I paid cash for the vehicle, so I didn't have much to do in finance, but appreciated the time Mr. Gallagher spent going over warranties, etc. Boardwalk has a friendly team - success for you as well as your patrons.

In the end, we bought the car and could no be happier. We had a question about the car 2 weeks later and Sam and the staff there took great care of us. The bottom line is Boardwalk Honda got me the car I wanted at the price and terms that I needed. And, although it couldn't have been, Grace Morris, my sales rep, and GM Brian Broomell made it seem easy. And made a hair-pulling experience (I don't have much more to pull, either) an enjoyable one.What I wanted was a 2012 Honda Fit. Base model. With a manual transmission. In either silver or blue raspberry. I was the "buyer", but my college-age son and daughter were the actual customers. They each had their own requires/desires, and Dad/Mom had their iron-clad budget. Unfortunately, there were no cars on anyone's lot in a 75-mile radius that met all the criteria. There was no further room for compromise. We were nearing a dead-end.So, you know what Grace did? She done went and got one! Within 5 business days! How can you not buy a car off of someone who made The Children smile? Who rose and met the challenge and kept their promises? That made Dad look good? At a dealership that made the experience fun?

Buying a car was never easier for me than it was this time around at Boardwalk Honda. Usually, I have to spend hours haggling with the salesperson and manager to get to a fair price, especially on my trade-in. Not this time. The trade-in price offered was actually fair right off the bat. Wow! In addition, the salesperson was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, but not pushy. All in all, the whole thing was actually a pleasant experience, which is something I definitely couldn't say about any other car-buying experience I've ever had.

DON'T EVER GO HERE FOR SERVICE! I have had to have my car painted TWICE for warranty work and now it needs to be painted AGAIN. Their workmanship is terrible. The manager said to call his cell phone...HA! He never answered and had so many voicemails you couldn't leave a message. They are HORRIBLE.

I called Boardwalk Honda after a bad experience with another dealer. I said I wanted to test-drive a Honda Fit after work, but would not make a decision that night. Sharon met me, showed me the cars that were available and I drove the car. I liked it, and Sharon told me the price and extra charges (registration, documents, etc.) upfront. When I called her the next day to say I wanted the car, Sharon took my vital information over the phone. When I came to pick the car up, all the paperwork was ready for me to sign. The entire process was simple and honest, and took about two hours total. It's been less than a week, but so far, I'm very happy with the car.

Just took my Honda Civic on a round trip (700 mi) to RI. Since I bought it used with 100K plus miles on it I was worried about how it would perform. Turns out I had nothing to worry about! It got 40 mpg, the ac was cold cold cold and the ride was as good as any brand new Toyota I've owned. Not only am I happy with the car, I am very happy with the purchase experience. I found Grace to be straightforward and very helpful as was the business manager Kerry. I didn't have to guess which shell the peanut was under like I've had to do at Shore Toyota. And when I got home and reread the paperwork, it was exactly the deal I made; no shenanigans, no surprises. If you need a car, new or used, I recommend Grace with no reservations!

None of the usual car-salesperson tactics. No pressure, no tag-teaming; just fair and honest pricing, better than expected trade valuation, and the whole process from the time I arrived to shop until I left driving my new car home took less than two hours. Everyone in the place was warm and friendly, and seemed genuinely glad to be part of the process, and focused on making the experience a pleasant one. Nice and friendly. This Honda dealers do not try to force customers to buy the car on the first day unlike the Toyota dealership in English Creek. This Honda dealers do not try to give fancy description of the car to make the car sound better than it is. I highly recommend this Honda dealership because you can go there just to check out the car and test drive it without promising anything.

was not pressured, told to browse and any questions would be answered. spent 30 minutes looking and left to look at other dealerships. next day we came back to mary doherty. she took us for a demo ride , explained the details of the car (cr-v). we were really impressed with mary's kindness and humanity. jOHN EXPLAINED THE FINANCIALS, jim executed the deal. a very professional group!!

My partner and I decided we wanted a Honda CR-V. When we arrived at the dealership, Mary introduced herself in a very friendly and professional manner. We told her we looking for a used Honda CR-V, in order to stay within our budget requirements. She showed us the certified 2009 Honda CR-V and gave her own personal experience of the vehicle, since she once owned one herself. She was very knowledgeable of what Honda had to offered, which is very important in any type of business. My original thought when entering the dealership was that I might have been course to buying a vehicle that was more expensive or a vehicle that we didn't want. However, that wasn't the case. She made of us feel comfortable when choosing our vechile and didn't rush us in any way. She allowed us to take the time that we needed in order to make our decision. This is a great place to buy a car. No games. The price is the price. I got an online price, went to the dealership and that was the price. No add ons, dealer packages or any kind of nonsense. Very smooth transaction. No hard sell for additions options or warranties. If you don't want them, the transaction continues seamlessly. Kraig Friedman is a terrific salesman. He took the time to review all of the features of the car, and really knows the product he sells. When you are ready to purchase, you can shop around, but you will end up at Boardwalk for your purchase.

Buying from Boardwalk Honda was a very pleasant experience. We live about 40 miles away and used the internet to identify dealers. The internet price was very good, with a quick response. We made an appointment with a sales manager for 11am Saturday. The car we wanted (2010 Accord EX-L 4 with navigation) was sitting in front and we were directed to Kraig Friedman, a sales consultant, who was waiting for us. He was quiet, efficient and very pleasant. He took us for a test drive, carefully answering questions and describing the car's features in detail. I was particularly struck about how well he answered my wife's questions as she test drove the car. The negotiation process was low pressure and quite satisfactory. We traded a 2003 Accord which served us very well (really no issues in 100K except for brakes and tires). Overall, an excellent experience, and a highly recommended dealership. And we love the new Accord with XM radio and the navigation system.

It was a random day for my fiance and I to look for a car. We happened to stop by a few local dealerships in our home town of York, PA and were not impressed by the level of customer service we received, so I took to the internet to find the car we were looking for and came across Boardwalk Honda in Egg Harbor, NJ. I contacted the dealership via e-mail requesting information on the vehicle we were looking for and boy was I surprised. The level of service that we received was second to none! Ron Solt, their internet sales specialist was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. I've purchase several new and used vehicles and never have I received such superior service. The real test came when we got the car home and the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light was on. It was not due to low tire pressure, but that there was a problem with the system. We took it to our local Honda dealership, (not where we purchased the car), and received the same lack-luster service, including a $350 bill to replace the tire and the sensor because the previous owner had filled the tire with Fix-a-flat... (note to self, no fix-a-flat in cars with a TPMS system!). Now this was not something that Boardwalk would have known about! The car was a Honda Certified used vehicle, but the tire was not covered. We contacted Boardwalk Honda and got in touch with John Frisch. John said... "No Problem! Pay the bills and send me copies... we'll get a check to you to cover!" How awesome is that? I was floored when I found out that they were not only going to stand behind the car, but that they would warranty something that they by contract didn't have too! They also could have made us drive back from York, PA to Atlantic Cty, NJ but they didn't. I couldn't recommend this dealership any more without sounding like a broken record! My new car purchase at Boardwalk Honda was pleasant experience. I found everyone, including Salesman, Kraig Freidman, GM,John Cevoli, and the Finance Manager, Kerry Gallagher, a pleasure to work with. We felt comfortable with our decision, not pressured. It wasn't even until the next day, that I realized, that no one ever asked for an initial deposit to finalize the deal.Kraig Friedman was very thorough when he delivered our vehicle, making sure we had a clear understanding of how to operate the vehicle equipment. He patiently answered all of are questions and clearly demonstrated his mastery of product knowledge. Kraig was also able to produce an identical replacement vehicle when he discovered minor damage on the first vehicle we selected. He initiated this on his own, without input from me. Kelly Gallagher, the finance manager, although he was aware of our desire to opt out of after sale items, made sure we had every opportunity to make an informed decision on available products. He was very helpful, without making me feel uncomfortable or pressured. The delivery process moved along quickly.I found the General Manager, John Cevoli to be, a man of your word. After receiving price and financing confirmation both through the web and verbally, over the phone, he deliverd exactly what he promised, without any unexpected changes.Thank you to all. I will definitely share my pleasant buying experience with my friends and will shop at Boardwalk Honda the next time I am in the market for a new car.Additionally, I brought my other Honda in for service a few days later. The Service Writer, Kathy O'Connor was very helpful. While waiting for a friend to pick me up, I noticed a service technician parking my vehicle. My car vehicle was ready long before it was expected. I was able to call my ride, and tell them not to bother picking me up, because my car was ready. I was only at the dealership for about 20 minutes. I corresponed with Boardwalk Honda via email and was given a quote on the new Insight. I came in for a test drive and was treated very well be a greeter and then a sales associate. I told them I wanted to check out other cars too and would let them know by the end of the week if I wanted an Insight. No problem with this dealer. I called back at the end of the week and asked if they could get me a red EX Insight. Early next week my car was in and I picked it up. Price was the one I was quoted online and Jean Simeon was a great guy to work with. He showed me how things worked in the car and he was very helpful. I would highly recommend this dealer if you want a honest upfront quote with no BS. Unlike Shore Toyota down the road.

The sales people were all very friendly, however the sales manager is a real jerk. My son leased a 09 civic from here, we thought that the lease was based on a total car value of 17k. we were stupid and trusted them to do the right math, turns out his leased is based on a price higher than msrp! They also promised us complimentary oil changes for 1 year, to make us happy since we were going to leave. When we went back to pick up the tags and ask the sales manager about when we could come in and have the oil change done (the same guy who promised us 5 days before) suddenly had never met us before and had no idea who we were. They will be very friendly when they want you to buy, but dont trust them they will lie to your face. Finally marcia begged up to give her a good review on this site, they're well aware of this site and that probably explains all the ridiculous positive feedback.

We liked the Cr-v but dreaded going to the closest dealership to our house (Boardwalk Honda) because of their uppity attitudes and total bull when negotiating. They proved true to their reputation that's been established over the past 20 years with the locals--unless you are rich people and willing to pay whatever they say for a car they don't want your business. Take a trip up to Willis Honda--no frills dealership with fantastic prices on identical product. Needless to say we should have known better to even venture into this dealership so shame on us. It won't happen again. We bought our new CR-V from Willis and we love it.

I purchased a Honda Oddessey in 2005 and love it. I have always have my service maintained through Boardwalk Honda and most of the time it has simply met my expectations. Several months ago I had an an issue with one of my tires. Naturally I took my van into Honday to have it looked at. I had purchased the extended tire warranty protection, so I certainly wasn't worried about having to purchase a new tire or so I thought. When one of the service guys looked up my account he told me he had no record of the extended warranty and furthermore whatever my problem was wouldn't be covered any way. Naturally I was extremely upset because I knew that I had paid alot of money for that ext. warranty and I knew the problem with the tire should have been covered. As my conflict with the particular service guy that was helping me, or should I say not helping me, grew I noticed the manager of service, Ed Doughty, approach me and ask if he could help. I explained the situation and he immediately took over. Ed Doughty not only zero'd in on a situation occuring in his shop but more importantly he took ownership of it. Needless to say, he investigated my warranty, found it and also found that my 200.00 or more tire would be covered under the warranty. YA YA YA YA!!!! Now let me fast forward to yesterday, April 28, 2009. I took my van in for a regular service and also let them know it was making a bit of a loud noise - turns out I had a problem with my rear ----- (who knows what). Unfortunatley, for me, this particular thing apparently was covered under warranty, (you know I asked), and it would cost $600.00 to repair....yikes... Well, of course I had it repaired, what else would I do? When I received the call from Ed Doughty, (who by the way was not the orignal person that was helping me and really had no reason to be handling my "ticket" because I didn't complain or ask to see the mgr,etc..), he told me he called to tell me that my van was ready but more importantly, he did a little checking and as it turns out this particular issue is covered under warranty. WHAT...I MUST HAVE JUST HIT THE LOTTERY!!!! I was amazed. I reminded him that I was the lady that he helped several months ago with the tire problem and he laughed and said he remembered. For Ed to step in, double check and really just go the extra mile means more then you will know. Of course it is wonderful that he saved me $600.00 but as wonderful is that he investigated it without any real reason to need to, meaning I wasn't a complaining customer as our previous incounter, he never even saw me in the shop until I went to pick it up. Ed put his hand out to shake mine and of course, I gave him a huge hug. I thanked him a thousand times and taking time to write this letter is the least I can do. It is Ed's genuine concern about people and their wallet that make him a service excellence leader. THANK YOU ED DOUGHTY. I only hope he can continue to harness that "love" for what he does and pass it on to his people - the front line. Thank you for the opportunity to thank Ed. I already sent a letter to Marcia Bishop, my sales rep, thanking her for her professionism, patience, friendliness, and knowledge of Honda products. I was in the market for a new vehicle and had visited several different dealerships as I was undecisive as to the make of vehicle I wanted. At times, I felt she was an advocate for me, the buyer and she also understood the importance that is placed on a buyer on such a big purchase....making sure it is at the right price and value. Boardwalk Honda had an overall friendly atmosphere and the omplimentary beverages were a nice touch, too. Honda should be very pleased to have Marcia on your team. I would not hestitate to recommend Boardwalk Honda and Marcia to anyone who is in the market for a vehicle. And, by the way, I really love my new Honda Accord Coupe.

On this particular visit, my driver side window was not operating properly. I happen to use this vehicle daily, delivering newspapers, and must have this window working. Not only did Ed personally check out the problem, but also had Steve Naylor, who I would like to call my personal mechanic, look at it also. They diagnosed, ordered the parts for me, and scheduled an appt. asap !! Job was completed when promised, and included a ride home for me when I dropped off the car. I am a long time Honda customer,and have probably bought 4-5 cars for my own use, and have leased a brand new Honda for my wife every 3 years for the last decade, and have referred a number of customers to Boardwalk (Sussman) Honda over the years. I consider myself part of the Honda Family, because that is how I am treated !! Whenever it is time for a new car, Ron Solt is the only one I deal with. He is professional, courteous, and fair, and a credit to the Honda name. As dependable as he is, so also is the Honda vehicle. My service record is quite lengthly, and each time Steve Naylor treats my cars as if they were his own.He knows my car inside and out, and I would not let any other mechanic touch my cars.Over the years, I have made numerous friends with the employees, and even joke that I should have my mail sent there, but when one feels as comfortable as I do dealing with a top-rate business, they continue to do so, and tell others too !!The manager,John Cevoli, should be praised for his dealership and team, and I am only happy to complete this review.

This was my first new car purchase and Jim Pitetti and the people at Boardwalk Honda took the fear of buying a new car away. Jim help me choose a car that would be perfect for me and my family. We are very happy with our Honda Element. After choosing the right car Jim work out a price that was well below other Honda dealerships in the area. Our experience with MARCIA was FABULOUS. Her customer service was great. She answered all of our questions, and helped us with anything that we didn't understand when it came to the contract. Her quality of service was excellent. She's very hard working, so hard that she stayed with us at the dealership till it was time to close and very attentive to her customers. She's a people person and an excellent employee and knows how to work as a team player. Her friendlyness was AWESOME. She's a super funny person to talk with, I love her stories. They are funny!. I have no compliants about anything. When it was time to pick up the car, she took her time with me (Tammy), showing me the bluetooth connection, navi, auto lights, rear view mirror dimming when lights hit it, 9 second autolocks on the doors and Marcia even called to see how we were doing with the car on many occasions and if we needed any help with the Handfree Bluetooth set up. I know that I will always be treated with courtesy and honesty when I take our vehicles to Boardwalk Honda for service. On my most recent visit, Ed went over the service record for my 2003 Civic and made several suggestions. I accepted some and rejected others, but at no time was there any high pressure to have work performed that I didn't think was necessary. The service was finished in less than the promised time and everything done was explained completely. This is the usual situation at Boardwalk Honda.

Let me say my first experience will be my last. I went there to look at new Honda cars and did not receive any assistance as I was browsing the showroom. I walked out and came back in to see if I would be helped and guess what, no acknowledgement whatsoever, even though salespeople were available. This time I went to the Sales manager and he directed me to one of the idle salesmen. This fellow took our information and asked what cars I was interested in. I had a few choices and wanted to test drive the models so I could get a better idea on what to buy. This guy (Gary)did not want us to drive the cars!!! He wanted to MAKE SURE he had a SALE!!!!Not only did he say this, he layered it with I got a family to feed and we are closing the store soon. What kind of service is this!!!??? I am disgusted and not recommending this place to anyone.Be WARNED!

Let me start by saying that I drove past 4 other Honda dealers to purchase my new 2008 Civic Si sedan today. I started by working with Mike Sullivan over the internet for several weeks until I found the right car at the right price. Mike was the only internet salesmen who answered all of my questions and was respectful of my requests to only call when I asked and do most the dealing via the internet. I am a single dad of three kids, and time is precious to me. After we agreed upon a price, I visited the dealership today. the car was ready, and the deal that we worked out was just as described. There were no bait and switch tactic or other bad business practices that you might find at a dealer such as Universe Honda in Toms River( who I visited 4 times). Kraig Freidman was EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgible and polite. I am a well informed "car guy". Kraig made sure that my time was pleasant. You only buy a new car a few times in your life, and it should be a great day. Kraig made sure that I enjoyed this day and I sincerely appreciate it. I will recommend this dealership and Kraig to all of my friends.
