Another good experience buying a new vehicle at Bob Boyd Ford in Lancaster, Ohio. This was my third or forth purchase from this dealership. Dave Smith, the salesperson I dealt with, had great product knowledge about the Ford product line. Dave got me in and out in no time and had my new Ford Explorer ready to pick up as scheduled. Since Bob-Boyd has a new sales manager, the prices are unreasonable. Check out the Ford reviews and you would be better off traveling to Columbus to buy a Ford. My experience was a $3500 difference on a new Ford and that is ridiculous to have that big of a profit margin for Bob-Boyd at my expense.

Sales person didn't pressure, took his time while I made my decision which took several days considering I was buying this vehicle from out of state and it was the Holidays. Worked with me while secured my own financing even though they offered financing. Had an issue with the heated seats and because I am out of state it's not feasible for me to bring the vehicle back for the repair, they have offered me an adequate solution to the repair.

Wonderfull time. David Smith knows alot about the Ford we bought, this helps alot. He is also a fan and drives one his self. Was not a long process even with him helping another couple!! Called about a car that I saw inline. First salesman didn't call back, so I called again in a few days since I was worried the car might sell fast. Second salesman said he would check and never called me back. Like a fool, I called again and spoke with third salesman. Made a deal over the phone, but when I drove over an hour to meet and finalize deal, numbers had changed!!!!!!!!!! Went to the Chevy dealership and bought a car warm an honest salesman! Too bad this page wouldn't let me give this dealership a negative number as a review.

We just purchased the All-New Mazda CX3 from this dealership and we were completely blown away with how great the experience was. Robin Reffitt and the rest of the team here were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and a true pleasure to do business with. I had called every Mazda dealer around Columbus when I first started my vehicle search months ago. No other dealer would return emails or phone calls and most of them passed me around from person to person on the phone, eventually disconnecting me! I called them all on several different days over the last few months and never once got any information from any of them accept Bob Boyd. Robin Reffitt continued to update me by email over this time period about when the vehicle might be available. We spoke on the phone several times and he answered every question I had. We have very busy schedules and he worked his schedule around ours in order to show us the very first CX3 they received, which I ended up purchasing. Robin has called a few times to make sure everything is going okay since I got the car and I can't tell you how impressive that is! I will never purchase a vehicle anywhere else again and we recommend Bob Boyd to everyone looking for a good experience purchasing a vehicle. The car was in good condition when I tried it out, though it needed a couple of repairs which I had indicated would need done before I bought it. Husband and I went into the dealership on 3/9/15 and was greeted by Dave Smith, I was interested in a 2015 Mustang. Dave not only took the time to let me test drive one he also went with my husband to test drive it as well. He never made us feel rushed. I wanted certain things in my Mustang and Dave checked 1,200 mile radius looking for one to no avail so he special ordered exactly what I wanted. Through the whole building process of my car he kept me updated on the progress. On the day my car was delivered to the dealership it was Dave's day off but he went in and took a video of it for me coming off the truck and emailed it to me. The day my husband and I went to pick it up Dave went over the functions of the car and he even synced my phone to the car. This was my first brand new car and I could not have ask for better service. We will definitely go back when we are in the market again. After being shown high priced and well worn vehicles at several other dealers, we went to Bob Boyd and, honestly, the experience was the best I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Dave Smith did not pressure us, he explained everything about the different models of Mazda we were looking at. At no time did I feel that I was on a timetable to make a decision. Tom Allen handled the financing and he was quick, well organized, and a pleasure to work with. There was some trouble getting my trade in to the dealers and they were very generous and worked with me. No pressure, just an all around good experience.

I arrived at Bob Boyd on a mission...trade my 2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring for a new 2015 Mazda Grand Touring, and spend less time doing so than I intended to spend shopping for a new purse later in the day! I am delighted to report mission accomplished! My new CX-5 is my third Mazda and my fifth straight purchase from Bob Boyd. (Did I mention my husband sells cars at a competitor in Columbus? And my dad owns a used car lot, but I still return to Bob Boyd time and again??). My favorite part of shopping at Bob Boyd is that I do not need a man on my arm to be taken seriously...I have always been given the utmost respect by the sales and service staff a Bob Boyd, and my experience with Dave Smith was outstanding. He was very pleasant to work with and didn't waste my time. Even made sure my cell was synced up before I left the lot. And because he is always such a nice man, I need to give a shout out to Tom in finance, too. Never pushy with the ancillary insurance products, but always willing to answer any questions and make sure the paperwork is correct. Just an all around pleasure to deal with Barb, Dave, Tom and the rest of the Bob Boyd family!

Dave Smith, salesman was great in explanations, figures, features on the cars that I was interested in, so helpful and patient with me as I was a hard sell. We finally nailed down the car that suited what we were looking for and in my price and payment range and we drove off in a 2015 Ford Fusion. My only concern is that, since I am old school, that I will have trouble figuring out all the technology that is on the vehicle. But I guess that with time I will come to figure it all out and enjoy all the features.

We purchased our 2014 Mazda 3 from Bob Boyd Auto and are extremely happy with our purchase. This is the 3rd Mazda for us with the first being a Mazda Protege. The experience was pleasant and the staff was friendly without being pushy. Our salesman, Dave Smith had been corresponding with us for 6 months before our actual purchase and he was extremely knowledgeable without being aggressive. We plan on purchasing our next Mazda in about four years and will go back to Bob Boyd with the hope that Dave will still be on their sales team!

Went to visit my parents in my old home town and saw this clean '04 Rubi for sale so I made an appointment to test drive it. Ended up buying it but 6 weeks after started having issues. Ended up spending $4200+ to put in a new instrument cluster, evap system and catalytic converter. I would have expected the seller to spend a little more time and effort on making sure the vehicle was in good condition. That said, I did expect something to need to be fixed as it was 10 years old and had 140K miles on it. Overall, the sales rep, Jim Russell was wonderful. He really went over and above to make sure that part of my experience was pleasant.

This was the first time that I have been able to buy a car without having any surprises when I went to do the paper work. Steven Lucas was very professional, courteous and even helped with our dogs while we were doing the paperwork. I would buy from them again!! I also received the best price out of six dealers and was able to do all of the negotiating over the phone and email. Best way to buy a car these days, when there is very little time to go into a dealership and wasted time.

Earlier this year, I was in the market for a used car with AWD. I'd done a great deal of searching online and was having some difficulty finding a deal to my liking. I happened across a certified pre-owned 2013 Ford Fusion at Bob-Boyd Ford with an excellent price. I filled out the ask the seller info on the website and received a prompt response from Todd Beckett by the end of the following day. Being from WV, I was somewhat hesitant in buying from an out-of-state dealership. Due to a busy work schedule and a 2.5 hour drive, I tried to work out as much details as I could before considering the trip. While I would have liked have come to an agreement on a price prior to the drive, I was assured we could come to agreeable price. I managed a Saturday off and informed Todd a few days prior that Id be making the trip and was shooting to be there around noon with my trade-ins. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership, the car was clean and parked out front. The sales environment was low/no pressure and I was pleasantly surprised by this. We went for a test drive and got a small tutorial on the features. After returning the negotiating process was surprisingly quick. The value they offered for my trades was as fair as I could have hoped for and the dealership was incredibly quick with obtaining financing for the remainder of the balance. We were back on the road and well on our way home by 4pm. I was very impressed with this dealership- very efficient and very professional. Though its only our 6th vehicle purchase, this was the first purchase in which my wife left the dealership happy with everything. Distance aside, I was pleasantly surprised with all of my dealings with Todd Beckett and Bob-Boyd Auto; I will certainly recommend them to others and will very likely be a repeat customer in the future.

We recently purchased a 2014 Ford Edge Limited from Dave Smith at Bob Boyd Auto Family. We had purchased several cars previously from Bob Boyd but had decided to work with a Ford dealer from the Cincinnati outer belt. We were extremely disappointed and returned to Lancaster. We found the car that we had been looking for with the options and color that pleased us at Bob Boyd. Dave Smith worked with us throughout the process. He was knowledgeable, courteous, patient and respectful of us during our search, selection and purchase. Both Dave and Tom (financial officer) were able to structure a price for our trade in and for the new car, a financing plan and were able to lead us through the maze of options that are available from Ford. As we finished the sale and transfer, Dave took care of syncing our phones and us to this new Edge. Mr. Dave Smith was as helpful, pleasant, and professional as can be from start to finish. He and the male that was to pull credit and get rates were great to deal with. I was particularly pleased that they did not pull credit until they were able to determine that they could get the numbers very near what my wife and I had set as "line in the sand". We did buy the F-150 that we stopped to look at and could not be happier with the way the entire experience went. Thank you to Dave. Randy was the ideal salesperson. He knew the vehicle specs, features, rebates and pricing. We arrived Saturday morning, took a quick test drive, had a very brief and agreeable negotiation, and was out the door with a new Chrysler Town and Country in a couple hours. This is the only way to buy a vehicle.

My experience with Bob-Boyd dealerships in Lancaster was great. I was very nervous about buying a car. I had gone to another dealership a week or two before and the experience was not nice at all, I felt like I was talked down to the salesman was extremely rude. We have purchased Fords in the past from Bob Boyd, Lancaster, and we have taken multiple vehicles there for service over the years. We have always been satisfied and never leave there feeling like we were talked into "fixing" something that didn't need fixed. We just bought a 2014 Ford Escape SE for out daughter last week, and while another very large dealership told us a story about what they could get the payment to but later could not truly offer that crazy low number, Bob Boyd did their best to get us a "real" payment for our daughter. One that she could handle. We are grateful to Bob Boyd Ford, and especially Dave Smith, for working with us.

I absolutely HATE buying cars. There always that feeling that there's a better deal somewhere, if you could only find it. And once you've made your deal, the pressure to purchase additional items is so frustrating at times. But at Bob Boyd Ford, the deal was good; the sales Rep (Dave Smith) was outstanding; and the paperwork was simple and painless. No pressure at all - highly recommend this dealer.

My husband and I began our search in Columbus. We were not pleased with the high pressure sales approach or being bounced around from salesman to his manager to attempt to put pressure on us to close the deal. Needless to say we walked away and decieded to go to Lancaster to shop. We will return to the dealership for our next purchase. all the staff were friendly and very helpful. We love our new truck. Even though I asked several times, what would be the trade in value of my car, I did not get an answer until the actual signing of the contract. If I had known it was so far below kellybluebook value, I would have said forget it. I was so upset that I walked out of the room so my husband could finish the paperwork. The next day, none of the dash worked including the tv. We brought it back in and was told a fuse was replaced, but if it happened again we would have to replace the whole thing. Really. Are you kidding! We just bought this car? Wow. I must lead a shelterd life. If you need the money that badly, I can loan you some. I would never send a friend to you. This experience makes me dislike the van very much, and as soon as I can I will get rid of it.

my husband and i were in the market for a new ford car after my daughter crashed my car. after visiting another for dealership and getting bounced around from one person to another for over 4 hours and trying to be talked into a car we didn't want we decided to go to bob Boyd my husband having bought his truck there a few years before and having had a pleasant experience there we stopped in to look around the salesman was very polite and courteous and after telling him what we had just went through was very attentive to our needs he showed us what we were looking for and in to time he had the paperwork done and we were driving off with our new car he took the time to go over all the gadgets with me and my husband and made sure we understood how every thing worked we both are very pleased with our purchase and have already made plans to return to bob boyd ford to purchase a newer truck for him and recommended bob boyb to several friends and family

Our permanent residence is about 650 miles from the dealership, so there are MANY Ford dealers between us and Columbus/Lancaster, Ohio! Why would we choose a Ford dealership so far away? We trust the dealership and have always been very satisied with the transactions. Buying online is a new thing, but it works great when you have professionals like Barb Whittington and Steve Lucas on the selling end! It is, for us, even better than trying to do this in a showroom. If you do not take the time to read this review any further. At the very least: GO TO BOB BOYD AND TALK TO TONY, AND YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE! I have purchased many, many vehicles in my time and this was one, if not the best experience I have every had. The difference maker in my humble opinion is working with someone that is good at what they do and actually cares about making it work. To set the stage: I was not purchasing a new vehicle and I stopped in to view a minivan that I found online. I had my three little boys in tow and that can cause some chaos to say the least. Mr. Tony Thacker stepped out to meet us and was understanding and on point with helping us with the information we needed. He quickly got us ready for a test drive and sent us on our way. Upon returning, we found a couple issues with the used vehicle (keep in mind that this was a used vehicle that was on the lot for some time, and the price was reflective of the dealerships interest in moving it quickly!) Tony, was interested in understanding our concerns with the vehicle and took an immediate position getting the vehicle fixed to a very high standard. ( I believe he really did not want us to purchase the vehicle if it had a potential of breaking down. The immediately put the vehicle in for service to diagnose and fix the vehicle with their certified techs. This would have been the moment when most other dealerships or salesmen would have re-directed and started to hard sell other vehicles!) This customer care and customer interest is why we purchased the vehicle from Tony! I don't believe that Tony or the dealership made a ton of cash off of my used vehicle purchase! However, the feeling of complete customer service as if I was purchasing a new Cadillac was provided. Here is the thing that really stood out for me: I did just recently purchase a new Cadillac and the service did not measure up now that I compare it to Tony and the team at his dealership! Great Job! This was the first time I purchased a car of my own. I was a bit nervous, even though my parents were helping me with the whole process. The family had purchased an Expedition at Bob-Boyd over 15 years ago, and received excellent services at every encounter. Todd was able to get me a great deal on my new Mazda 6. As the title indicates, we have personally bought 5 cars from Jim Helm at Bob-Boyd, my parents bought one and a good friend bought another. We trust them to work with us on price and to treat us fairly. I appreciate the fact that they are willing to give us all the numbers that we want to see. I hate the approach of "well your monthly payment will be..." I want to know what exactly I am paying for the car and then worry about the payments. We don't live in Lancaster any more or I would use them for oil changes, etc. It is a good feeling to be comfortable in an environment that can already be stressful enough. I hate spending that much money, but it is a necessary evil. If we purchase a Mazda or Ford, there is no doubt where we will be buying it from.

We dealt with Jim Helm at Bob Boyd in Lancaster and he was very helpful. My husband was looking to replace his truck, which was totaled in an accident. My son talked to Jim on Saturday about the truck we had looked at on the internet and we went in to look at and drive the truck on Monday. My husband was very pleased with the truck and we were able to complete all the paperwork on Monday and bring the truck home. Thank you Jim!!

Bob Boyd was a pleasure to work with. The salesman, David Smith, was down to earth, very personable and not pushy at all. I like the fact that he got to know me as a person. I was sold on the car before I went in but it was him not stalking me in the parking lot and answering a question when I was ready that made the deal even better. Bod Boyd worked hard to find me the lowest interest rate available which made the buying experience even better. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. If you have a specific need or want in that car. They will go out of their way to find it and bring it to you there.

We had a wonderful experience at Bob Boyd Ford, they were great and gave us a great deal on our Expedition, we have only had the vehicle for a few days, but love it. We picked our truck up on the coldest day of 2014, 11 below zero with forty mile per hour winds, all the people at Bob Boyd were great, good service, friendly and they worked hard to give us the best deal on the car. I would recommend Bob Boyd to my friends! While your there look into Dave Smith's "Eyes"....

This is the fourth car I've bought from Bob Boyd Ford. They are always very honest and fair with me. I told the salesman what I wanted and he was willing to show me exactly the car I was looking for. Since I wanted a small sub compact, he did show me cars that were a step up in size, but he did not pressure me toward the more expensive cars. He explained the price differences between the stickers on all of the cars, and I felt like I had enough information to make an informed decision, and walked away with a decision that I am very happy with.

But not at Bob Boyd... They are the nicest group I have ever met. the salespeople do not pressure, they answer all questions and do what ever they can to get you in what you want. If they don't have it they WILL find it for you. The shop is wonderful group to work with also. They honestly treat you like family. We will not shop anywhere else. Recently purchased my 2nd vehicle from BobBoyd Ford. The process was very stress free. I had been looking on and off for over 6 months with the help of their salesman, Steve Lucas, who was always patient and considerate. I felt I got a nice deal on a new F150, a reasonable price for my trade and a feeling that they truly appreciate the business. It's a bit longer travel to drive past a few other Ford dealerships, but I feel the treatment I get from Bobby Dawes and his team is worth it.

This is my third Ram 1500 purchase from Bob Boyd in the last 11 years. Tony Thacker is a great salesperson and even helped me move my stuff from the trade-in to the new truck. He took the time to show me how to work the new-fangled electronics in the cab. Everyone was very friendly and considerate to my needs. This is the place to go and get a vehicle. My experience with Mike in the service department has always been excellent, as well. I was very pleased with my experience.

I was very pleased with my recent Bob Boyd auto purchase experience. I was offered a good deal to move 2013 inventory, and took advantage of it by purchasing a 2013 Ford Explorer. My sales person was very knowledgeable and thorough in providing information about the Explorer I wished to buy, without being overbearing. The financing was reasonable and well explained. And, my sales person actually drove my old car home for me. That is service!

We told them exactly what my son was looking for in a truck and although they did not have it in stock, they went the next day to get it from another dealership. We then came back in to get the vehicle. The amount of time actually spent in the dealership was minimal and we got the exact vehicle we were looking for. We took our 2002 Dodge Stratus in to be fixed. In starting the car, it had a shake, and then it wouldn't stay running... We took it in, they fixed something else that wasn't a problem, that cost over $300.00, So we called, we took it back one week later, they then claimed there was a problem with the spark plugs, cost over $300.00 again... Car is not running AT ALL now. Called back in there, they said to bring it back, yeah right! They couldn't fix it the first 2 times, and costing over $600.00 to NOT fix what was first wrong with it to begin with. And they wanted us to use our AAA to bring it back, not offering to get it themselves, on their dime. So I went in to speak with the manager at the repair shop. He was very rude!!!! I will NEVER take a vehicle there again, not even for an oil change.

Tried calling this dealer to ask about a Cars.com advertisement. First time they picked up, said nothing, and hung up on me. Second time they did the same thing. Third time they accused me of being a telemarketer, apologized when I told them what I was calling for (asking about a 2010 Chevy Aveo), then hung up on me again. Nice job making it easy for someone to check out a car people. Waste of time.
