I had my timing chain fixed 14 months ago. Now after 15000 miles it needs it again??? when I brought my car in the mileage was 71812 and almost full tank of gas. When I picked it up, the paper work said the out mileage was 71821 but my car said 71953!!!!!! and almost EMPTY tank of gas!! But because the papers say something else... I cant prove it. Unfortunately I did not notice this discrepancy till I got home.

your service dept. in general is GREAT. Lately when I have come in for service my seat & mirror in the car has been moved by the car jockey & never put back where I had them. That really torqued me off. The last time that happen I drove my car back in the service bay after it had been serviced to talk to someone about that. The service people acted like I was nuts for requesting that at least the seat should have been put back. In matter of fact one of the service advisors started to argue with me as if I was wrong in complaining . That really got me going as I always though that the customer was always right!!! Perhaps I'll go back to buying FORD products.

My husband and I came in looking for a 2nd car on Saturday October 24th, we knew we wanted a Cruze because my brother & one son owning one and our other son works for GM. We were greeted by Andy Stewart and asked if we had any questions. We asked to sit in two different cars a 2012 & a 2013, we were leaning towards one but had to leave saying we would be back in a few hours. Andy was Great, not at all pushy or in our face. We came back and ended up asking a lot of questions about both cars then driving one. Andy with patience answered all our questions and we bought the more expensive car. On Monday we went in to get all the paperwork in order when it was signed and financed (thank you) We asked just for kicks what would our 2013 Rouge would get in a trade in? We then proceeded to drive a 2015 Cruze LT2 and working with Andy and George in finance, we ended up trading our car and buying our 2nd Cruze in 2 days!! Yes I will highly recommend Bob Johnson on the Ridge and most Definalty say go see Andy Stewart.. Tell him Missy sent you. You will not be sorry, I will be telling people about my experience & recommending Andy Stewart for a long time!!

I took my 2013 Chevrolet Volt in for service after my heating system became intermittent. They provided me with a loaner vehicle. I was informed later that day that they had fully investigated the issue and the faulty part was under warranty, but the repair would take over the weekend to fix. My rep asked me if I was okay with my loaner vehicle a Chevrolet Trax as they usually pair a Volt loaner car for Volt owners but they did not have any at the time. . I was happy that my used car still had warranty service and that the reps investigated to find that for me. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. Overall, I had such a good experience that I will be coming back to Bob Johnson for my maintenance.

I had such a poor sales experience I've decided to just buy a bicycle. Salesperson complained about me taking too much of his time and refused to give me a blank contract when asked. Hey Bob Johnson, it's the LAW in NY State to provide the contract when asked! Sales manager does not respond to request to speak to him. Glad I found all this out before I got a car from them and had a problem with it! I see what I could expect in the way of service if they are so rude and unresponsive when you're trying to BUY a car from them!

I had my car towed to this place because the first shop I took the car to couldnt figure out what was wrong I was contacted by chris codd i told him exactly what was going on my gas gauge and rpm was jumping back and forth as we spoke over the phone he insist that he would fix the car the estimate he gave was a lil too much so he wouldnt start perfoming work on the car until i told him it was ok. So i said ok He then tells me the car is ready i go to pick up the car and the same problem is still occuring here i am a month later still trying to fux the problem and the service director robert scott never picks up the phone or return calls this is the worse dealership in rochester ny. Should be taken out of business.

The repairs we had done were post-delivery repairs. We were extremely happy that all the repairs we had noted needed to be done were done perfectly. We also appreciated having the use of a loaner while our car was being repaired. Arriving on Rochesters first appreciable snow fall for a 7:30 appt. and the plow clearing the path.The service (write-up) team was there and chomping at the bit and reviewed my appointment and toldme the vehicle would be ready in three hours and so it was! My Chevy impala had a rear defrosting issue. Bob Johnson in Rochester NY was pretty booked but asked me to drop it off for the day and they'd squeeze it in. Less than 6hrs later it was ready and they fixed its recall. The guys in the service dept were very nice! Brian (I think that was his name) was so patient with all my questions. Overall I like their service, going to them for assistance is comforting.

I had an appt. for a recall re: my brakes. It was snowing & very cold that Mon. am & I dreaded going out, but I had waited for this appt. & decided to face the weather & my wait. My appt. was for 7:30; when I arrived the line was already out the door. I thought why didn't I resch. this apt?? But surprisingly, the line moved fast & I was on my way back home per their shuttle service; the driver was so pleasant. I no longer got my coat off & rec'd a call that my car was ready. The same driver picked me up a few mins. later. All the requested service was completed, recall, oil change, tire rotation, etc. Everyone was so nice, opening doors, offering coffee, bringing my car around to the front, etc. I have never purchased a "used" car, but Bob Johnson was recommended to me & I'm so glad I made my purchase with them. The sales & service depts. are very professional & BJ is definitely a customer-friendly family!!

My main concern about service at Bob Johnson Chevrolet is that they are always so busy it is difficult to get an appointment. For instance, for this recall service, I was told that the first date they could get me in was February, 2015. When I told them we'd be in Florida then--they did find a very early appointment sooner.

When I arrived at the Bob Johnson Chevrolet service department for my appointment, the service rep was ready for me, explained what would be done, reviewed the associated costs, and told me about how long the service work would take. My Equinox work was completed by the time I expected. Before leading me to the cashier's desk, the service rep explained everything that was done, reviewed the price list again, and reviewed the results of the 27-point free vehicle safety inspection. All in all, it was a very good car service experience.

My family and I have been customers for over 15 years and I really have to say it is because of Anne Lakis. We ALWAYS buy a car with her and in fact, I waited over 6 months to find a car (SUV) to come in because I did not want to go to another dealership or go with another salesperson. Anne is very honest and takes the time to listen to concerns and always follows through on anything she promises.However, I can't say the same for your Service Department. It takes weeks to get an appointment and the customer service is less than acceptable. Another reason we only deal with Anne is that whenever we have an issue, we call her and she handles it through the Service department for us.

During a recent oil change I asked that B.J. order new center caps for my truck since the factory ones started to spiderweb. They ordered them but 6 weeks later I still did not hear from B.J. I called and they said they were in but this isn't the first time they have ordered parts and never call. The customer ALWAYS has to followup. When I went to B.J. they said ther ordered 3 centercaps. I showed them that all 4 were spiderwebbed. They found a 4th cap and replaced them.

We had originally brought our vehicle in for an airbag related recall. After the recall work was done we noticed the service airbag message indicator was on. The vehicle was brought back for service at no charge and we were given a loaner vehicle at no charge. After picking up the vehicle, the service airbag message indicator went on again. We brought the vehicle in for service once again at no charge and we were given a bigger loaner vehicle at no charge, brand new at that and big enough for 3 child car seats. The dealer wanted to keep our vehicle long enough to ensure our vehicle was right and after that, it was.

The salesman worked with me on getting my payments as low as possible for the car I wanted. I went in thinking my payment would not be lowered than the current car payment of $400. Well they searched and found ways for me to get credited for discounts and my total car payment is now 300 for the car I love. I also went to numerous dealers around the area and nobody even tried to help lower the car payment. They would come back with an offer and I told them I couldn't afford anything higher than 300 and they did not even care to try and work with the numbers. Therefore, I highly recommend Bob Johnson Chevrolet over any dealership!!! I am so happy I actually went to check to see if I could get a bigger car and lower my payments so I can start saving for a house! Thank you all very much.

I found a good qaility car and the car I wanted for a fair price. They got me an excellent finance interest rate. The sales person and finance person were both very pleasant and accomodating to deal with comparatively speaking to previous dealerships where I have car shopped. The sales perosn even went to another competitors dealership to purchase touch up paint for my vehicle. I was a bit frustrated on the day I went to pick up my new car because I was kept waiting for an hour and half past my appointment time. Their car lots had a large variety of new vehicles parked for potential buyers to look at, and the facility in general looked neat & clean. When I met with my salesman I was promised to receive 3 months of deferred payments as part of their current special. I was surprised When I received a bill a month after I purchased the vehicle. My salesman had me send him the bill, only to find out that they got me a loan through a different bank so I didn't get that deal. I was never told this even after I inquired numerous times throughout the buying process. So I called to talk to a sales manager and was put through two different times to their voicemails. I left messages, marked urgent, and never head back from either manager. That's just terrible service. Question everything when you buy, they didn't live up to their sale.

We found this dealership online while looking for an Atlantis Blue 2014 Chevy Equinox. Our local dealerships kept putting us on the back burner and said that they could not find any after almost a month of looking. We got online and found two Atlantis Blue 2014 Chevy Equinox at this dealership within an hour of looking. We offered the local dealerships the opportunity to try to do a dealer trade with them before we called to explore the option of buying directly from Bob Johnson. The local dealers did not come through in a reasonable amount of time, so we called an made a deal on the second phone call. Bob Johnson was three hours away one way, but it was well worth the ride to purchase. The dealership is very large, accommodating, and professional. This was the best car buying experience I've had in 30 years of car shopping. Stress free, pressure free, and no gotchas anywhere from my initial phone call through purchase. Of note, Karin Brown gave accurate details, was very enjoyable and professional, and steered us through our first leasing flawlessly and without pressure. John in finance further cemented the positive experience by giving solid advice (not pushing tons of add on products). He also printed off a copy of the contract so we could read through it overnight and make sure we were comfortable. Combined with payment due at pick up (next day) this was astonishing. I felt like a partner in the experience, not a number. It helps that Bob Johnson Chevrolet has huge buying power (and best deal I could find among 4 dealerships)- and it helps that the the car I chose (2014 Chevy Cruze) has solid ratings and reviews- but none of that would have mattered if the experience was poor. A large part of my car buying decision rests on how I am treated. When I feel pressured or talked to in a condescending way, I will walk away from a deal. I have had those experiences in the past. I did NOT walk away at Bob Johnson. Instead - I ended up buying a car found on cars.com after walking in a half hour before closing time, Our salesman Benny was great. He was informative on the car, friendly, respectful and was willing to cut to the chase and work with us when it came to making the sale. Eric from Finance was also extremely personable and worked with us till he got us the best financing. Not only was everyone a pleasure to work with, but both Benny and Eric stayed until 10:00 that night to finish the paperwork and complete the sale without making us feel rushed or like an imposition. The car is exactly what was advertised, what I wanted and no hidden surprises - and all the folks at Bob Johnson made me feel like there will be no regrets after the sale.

The whole experience was very quick and easy. The salesman, Rick Mayo, was very diligent and tried to make sure that we got the best possible deal. He was extremely kind and looked hard for a car that fit our needs. Even after the car we wanted was sold, he found us another car over the weekend and we decided to buy the second car. The waiting area was very clean and there were free beverages provided. We only went in the waiting room for less than a minute before we were needed, great fast service. Once we got in the car, it had a full tank of gas and looked brand new. The cleaning of the car was great and I have not found any places that they missed. I would highly recommend buying cars here. I have already suggested it to all of my friends. When I buy my next car I will make sure that I go to Bob Johnson and work with the same salesman, Rick Mayo. He left a positive impact on us.

y Sales Person, Dave Towle, was extremely helpful and friendly. It wasn't like normal when you hear, "Well how much can you afford or What is the maximum you want for payments to be". We first went to Bob Johnson's the middle of May 2014, spoke to Douglas Curry. They were closing but he said if u are interested set up an appt. He took our info and we took his. He never called us waited for us. On May 2014 we stopped by to see if he was in he was. We sat and talked and the next thing I knew we were buying a vehicle. A used but a 2013 with only 19,000 miles. Everything we wanted except heated seats, & a couple other things but we drove it and loved it. Getting heated seats added.... Doug was AWESOME, everyone friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Everyone that walked by smiled, not one negative thing to say. Clean Clean Clean even the bathrooms!!!! I am so happy we stopped by. We needed a new car because I have respiratory illness and was getting sick in our 2000 GM Jimmy, so we were overdo and really lost our home and everything two yrs ago and we had to short sale our condo in CA. I was devastated! Because of a workers comp case we lost our home 1 car and out savings. So came back to Rochester Ny and here we are, in a New Used 2013 Chevy Equinox SUV and Love it. Have been telling everyone what a great place and would go back and buy another vehicle!!!!! Thank U to Doug Curry!!! Awesome guy!!!! No pressure what so ever!!!!! He got us what we could afford. And George Serkis also the financier Wow I am Totally PLEASED AND SO IS MY HUSBAND ( oh had a lot of problems getting on this website that is why I did not write sooner) but finally paid off to keep on trying, would love to win that 100.00 and a mini IPad for my husband) not for me but for him!!!! Paperwork took some time due to tecnical problems with fax machine and insurance company delay. However, Laurie was able to weather the storm and the deal was comleted. Simply the best dealership i have ever been to!!! Mat Jewel and his staff are world class! I totaled my 2011 Chevy Malibu that Mat had sold me at another GM dealership last week, and Mat proactively found out, and reached out to me personally to make sure i was safe after ON-star was alerted! WHO DOES THAT... MAT JEWEL!!! After looking on CL and other private deals I asked him to help me buy another car, he literally said "I don't care what you buy, as long as your happy!" Went in to buy a car for the first time in a very long time. Carrol H. took care of me extremely well. Eric in finance bent over backwards to get me the best deal in terms of financing. These folks really do care about their customers and I will definitely recommend this dealership to others. The only downside to my experience is that they forgot to put my floor mats in before I picked up the car. I found them in the trunk and had to install those myself.

I was financially profiled before I got out of my car (ironically a 2011 Malibu purchased from none other than that very dealership). I'll leave the sales person unnamed but it was obvious from the start this person did not want to take the time to present options, tell me what incentives and/or bonuses were currently being offered on the different models or even run some numbers once I settled on a particular vehicle. The sales manager/s were even more useless when my sales person finally decided to get some figures from them after trying to tell me how much I would pay per month based on a non discounted MSRP. After coming back from the sales manager I was presented a monthly payment figure and my sales person attempted to make me believe they would be losing money on the deal it was so good. Best part was they wouldn't negotiate any further, wouldn't let me keep the sales sheet with the figures presented to me and had no problem with me telling them I didn't think they were offering me a very good deal and was offered a better deal on a more expensive vehicle at another dealership. They let me walk out and didn't attempt to stop me. The arrogance spillith over.

WEll....we have never owned a Chevy in the 42 yrs of marriage but the new 2014 Impala LTZ stole our hearts. After 2 years in a Camry XLE (and do not get me wrong I love my 9 yr old Seinna) we are now driving a Chevy!!! This Impala rides so smooth, has SO much room and is SO awesome looking oh the best...it is SO QUIET!! WE hope we love it and still own it for a long time as we did our Buick Park AVe Ultra....there is nothing like that Buick out there anymore size and comfort wise but we are 99% sure already that the Impala will fill those shoes 100% better than the camry did or any other car out on the market today!!! Ann Lakis and Marianne Marinetti and Carol Harrington were all excellent by the way!! They made the experience excellent!! THANK YOU ALL!!

Our long time salesman John Lanzatella made the entire process easy and very comfortable. This is not the old price haggling torture back and forth that most dealers are known for. Facility was clean and vehicle was nice. Not impressed with overall demeanor of our salesman. He was very pushy and didn't relay much information before wanting us to close deal. I feel he was all for the sale and not in the best interest of his customers. I had to pry for info like whAt interest rate and payments we would be paying and when I voiced discomfort on the deal, he continued with his mission. I should have known when he started the conversation with "can you guarantee we will close a deal today". I did not listen to my gut now have a huge payment with most of it going to interest. My bad but live and learn. Just wanted to post so others can go on with caution and not be vulnerable to sales pitch manipulation. They are good at it and not out for the consumer "at all".

I traded in an old Dodge Intrepid and am very pleased with my new Malibu LT. My sales person, Carol, was most accommodating, helpful and patient. She knew the products and explained the buying process very thoroughly. There were more than enough color options and trimline options so it made my decision a challenge...in a good way. The finance process was simply and clear as well. My only complaint (and I know it's just the way things work in car sales) is the completely unnecessary back and forth between Carol and the Sales Manager. I had a price in mind, it was fair and I was very clear that this was the price I wanted. There should have been no need to go back and forth three times before an agreement was reached...those sales manager games are the part of car buying that I really dislike. Overall though, it was a good experience and I am very happy and will shop at Bob Johnson again.

When I first sat down with my salesman, Bert Marlatt, I explained that I had just lost my wife and I wasn't in the mental state to haggle. He told me that he would work to get the best deal possible on a truck that had the features on my wish list. Bert found a vehicle with everything I wanted and a price that I couldn't refuse. He made the whole process seamless. During delivery Bert asked me to check out the truck until I was satisfied. Eddie Wright was working on the truck getting it ready for delivery the next day. we explained to our salesperson that we wanted a basic car with cruise control. the only requirement was cruise control. the salesperson said that he had a green car on a another lot and we said we would buy it sight unseen. on driving home we noticed that there was not cruise control. i called the sales person right away stating i was going to bring the car back because it was not what we asked for. the salesperson lied and said you could only rturn a product if bought from a door to door sales person.he said we could have it added for a price of 500.00 dollars. i meet with this salesperson the next day and he would only give us 20% off. i think it should have been free. i have bought other cars/truck from bob johnson chevy before but will never agiain buy a car/truck from this dealership.. i referred my husband to buy from bob johnson a move i now regret

Called made an appointment to see sales person at 4:00 pm day before, arrived at dealer ship 2 salesmen were waiting for me. Shook hands told me their names and which 1 was taking care of me. On January 2, 2014 I took delivery of a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Traverse LTZ from Bob Johnson Chevrolet. I can't say enough good about Joey Grimshaw as he made the buying experience very good (and I hate the act of car buying so that says a lot). On the day I took delivery there was a HUGE snow storm going on with travel advisories and everything else. Once the snow got off the road I noticed a vibration in my steering wheel. I called Bob Johnson Chevrolet and said I needed to bring it in. They were so booked that they couldn't get me in for nearly a week. My wife took the vehicle in and was told all 4 wheels were out of balance. They balanced the wheels, wrote "all set" on the work order and sent my wife on her way. And then there was more snow on the ground. Once the snow melted down I felt the vibration again. So, I got back on the phone with Bob Johnson Chevrolet and, after a week of waiting, got my vehicle in. This time they had a tech ride with me who not only felt the vibration but saw the vibration with his own eyes. This time they replaced one tire and road force balanced all of the wheels. I test drove the car and it seemed ok ... but they took me on roads where I couldn't go 65mph. All is good, right? Nope. More snow on the road ... but when it melted I felt the vibration ... AGAIN! This time I was told they were going to give my vehicle to their "vibration expert." Why the heck they didn't give me this guy in the first place is beyond me. This time their "vibration expert" felt the vibration, replaced TWO tires, road force balanced them. I test drove the vehicle ... again on roads that I could not go 65mph ... and I said I would take it but I would not "accept it" until I had a chance to drive it. So, after driving it I felt the vibration ... AGAIN! This after two technicians and 3 new tires. I was very upset. So, I called Bob Johnson and left a rather upset voice mail for Chris Codd (Service Manager) and Bob Scott (Chris' manager). I told them that I wanted this car fixed or else I would either escalate to GM or apply the lemon law on this car. The next morning I received a call from Bob Verona who had me on a speaker phone with others in the room. The first thing he did was give me a lesson in etiquette. He didn't appreciate my tone, didn't appreciate me calling his people names (which I did not do) and didn't appreciate that I was passing on threats to his staff. I did use a couple of profane words in the heat of the moment so I got lectured on that as well. He also said he didn't appreciate how I was inconsistent. I accepted the car and then I complained again. This was not a case of inconsistency ... it was a case of snow on the ground which prevented me feeling the vibration until it went away. However, after THREE attempts to fix my car ... I was very upset. I told him I appreciated all of his words of encouragement but the fact remained that there was STILL a vibration in my steering wheel. After this phone call I contacted Chevrolet to discuss next steps. When the advisor went to look at what was done to my car we found that Bob Johnson Chevrolet had not entered any information into the warranty system. I also found out that Bob Johnson Chevrolet had not contacted Chevrolet's Technical Support ... which, according to the advisor, was a requirement for reoccurring issues. I asked what "reoccurring" meant and the advisor said "two or more." Note that I'm one of the most easy-going people you will know. But I have had enough of Bob Johnson Chevrolet. I have since taken my vehicle to another dealership and Chevrolet is involved. I have a little more confidence that my vehicle will be fixed at this point. However I will never step foot into Bob Johnson Chevrolet again. For those that do, enter at your own risk.

Unbelievable... One of my worse experiences ever. The service was horrible and the person that greeted my mother and I spoke to us the whole time while standing. They have to be a great dealership if I drove past four or five other Chevy dealerships to buy from Bob Johnson. It's nearly 35 to 40 miles from me. Did not try to oversell me - I was looking for a Sonic or Spark, economical, not too many options. I had been researching on-line for a few weeks. He let me test drive both, I didn't feel rushed as he was helping another customer too. Answered any questions I had and provided financial options between both vehicles. I chose the Spark and am happy with the choice.

It has been seven years since I had to step foot in a car dealership. I was not looking forward to it. I went to Bob Johnson on Ridge road to check out the Chevy Cruze. I told one person I was looking and when I was ready I would ask for assistance. I was ready and Douglas came over to answer my questions. We then took a car for a test drive. I t was getting late and I told him I would return in a few days. I did and he searched out a car in the color I liked. We took it for a good test drive. I loved it. I told Douglas I would have to bring my wife in later to look at it. He offered for me to take it to her. I thought that was great. I brought the family back that afternoon and worked out a deal. The entire staff was very nice and friendly.Not the shakedown experience I remember from vehicles past.

The overall service during my purchase of the 2011 Malibu, for me was great. Although I noticed a little rust and some grooves on my rear rotors? I took the car to the service department and was told that in rochester you will get that rust and groves? I work on brakes part time and my brakes will probably last a couple months before they have to be changed ! I was asked what did I want to do as if I was an idiot? I understand it's a used car, but I hope I can get this resolved ending in new pads and rotors, so I don't have to invest a couple of months from now. Raphael was an excellent sales person as well as your finance gentlemen mr sarkis. The experience for me again was an a plus, except for the brakes issue. They ended up giving me an appointment, and I'm hoping this will turn out better than last time! The overall experience at Bob Johnson's was wonderful. My salesman Doug was warm and personal, not pushy or above answering any of my questions. I have purchased several vehicles in the last 20 years, and this experience had me driving away positive that I would purchase from them again. There was no oil change, cruise or tire deal, which in the past have only been a hassle and inconvenience, overall gimmicks to overcharge me. This was not the situation. This was as quick, easy, and direct experience I've ever had selecting a new car. I knew what I wanted, and no one tried to sell me anything else. I particularly apprectiated the fact that the deal I'd worked out with a sales person on her last day(unknow to me at the time) at the dealer, a Friday, was honored by the salesperson who took me on when I returned on Monday. It was also a relief,,,after I'd worked out the deal and was ready to go that I was not sent into an office where someone I hadn't met yet tried to pressure me into buying things and services I did not need.

I bought a 2010 equinox from here and the same week I bought it I noticed it was making a rattling noise. I called and made an appointment to bring it in the next week. It turned out to be the water pump and balancing shaft were stretched. The timing chain was broken causing collateral damage. 3 guide bolts, chain oil nozzle, and balancing shaft pulleys all showed signs of metal wear. When I was driving home I heard the noise again so I called and brought it back the next day. That turned out to be the stabilizer link was loose. I spoke with a manager and said I Didn't feel comfortable in this car since I've brought it in for service twice and haven't even made a payment on it yet. I asked if I could take the money spent and put it towards a different car on their lot. He said no and he'd call me and let me know what he could do for me. A few days went by and pm call. I called him several times and so did my dad we also left several messages. Finally we just went there. We talked to a different manager who said "you're having buyers remorse just drive it" and we left. Finally we got in touch with the first manager and he said I could purchase an extended warranty since it was too late all the papers went through. So I payed $900 for a warranty. A few weeks go by and it sounds like a helicopter and then my check engine light came on. I brought it in and they just called to tell me my engine is burning oil and they need to replace the pistons and rings. GEE THANKS BOB JOHNSON HOW ABOUT YOU PUT YOUR KID IN A CAR THATS BURNING OIL AND "just drive it"!!!! NEVERRRRR BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

Went to the dealership to view a truck that we researched online. A phone conversation confirmed that the truck was in stock on the lot. Drove from Syracuse to Rochester to find that the truck was not on the lot, but another, more expensive model was. Made a fairly attractive deal on the more expensive model, but wanted to check another dealership in the area that we had contacted. The figures from Johnson were very attractive, the salesman at the other dealership couldn't come close to them so we called to confirm the figures. We were told they were correct. Went back to Johnson to purchase the truck only to be told when we arrived that they had made a $1000.00 error. (whoops sorry?????) They either have bad calculators or sketchy sales managers there. Left with nothing - will shop elsewhere. Advise anyone reading this to do the same!

My wife and I just purchased a new 2013 Equinox from Bob Johnson Chevrolet. This is the second car Ive purchase from them. I did things a little different this time. I received an email for an Equity Valve Assessment of my 2010 Malibu. I knew my car was in great condition and I had looked at different web site as to the value. I completed the form and emailed it back to Bob Johnson. I received an email reply from Jeff Thompson and I called him to make an appointment. Jeff worked really hard with me to complete a deal. We test drove a couple of vehicles and he took a lot of time with us looking for the car we wanted. Bob Johnsons worked with me in negotiating a deal I thought was fair. It was NOT a hard back and forth pressure deal, it was very easy. I picked up the car on Wednesday. Jeff had the car ready to go on time. He followed through on all points. Jeff made it very easy for us. I have been using Bob Johnsons Lube center for a few years for my oil changes and inspections. They do a nice job and the waiting area is very comfortable. I hope to deal with Jeff and Bob Johnson in the future.

I was looking to purchase a used Chevy Silverado, I searched online for weeks & could not find exactly what I was looking for anywhere. I was about to go and look at a 2010 Silverado with 27,000 miles at another dealership that was at the time the best deal I could find (but not the color I wanted) then I saw the deals Bob Johnson was having on new Silverados. I never thought that I could afford a new truck, but after talking to my salesman Jeff and going over the details, I was able to get a 2013 & the exact truck I wanted for only about $1500 more that the 2010 with 27,000 miles I was looking at (which was the same truck & options besides color). Jeff was one of the best sales people I have ever worked with. He was engaged in the deal perfectly, I wasn't bombarded with calls or pressured, he simply provided me with all of the information and showed me the details without having to ask to see them. My daughter and I went to Bob Johnson so she could look at a used 2012 Cruz that see saw on the website. Our salesman Jeff Thompson was very patient with us throughout the whole process. The car she was looking at had 18,000 miles on it and no cruise control which was one of the things she needed, so he suggested looking at a brand new car with 6 miles, cruise control and a couple rebates which made the price very close to the used one. He gave us all the figures for both vehicles and let us choose. It was the first large purchase my daughter has ever made, therefore she had a lot of questions and he took the time to answer every one. Jeff made her first new car buying experience a great one! So, I went back and forth between dealerships for months! Finally, my friend mentioned Bob Johnson Chevrolet. I was iffy because it was about and hour drive, but in the end it was definitely worth the trip. I thought I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door, but after months of confusion I had gotten a little lost. When I initially contacted the dealership I talked to a gentleman named Travis Carroll. He was very energetic and ready to get things done! His personality and true interest in me finding "the car for me" made the process much more efficient. He did whatever I said and if something didn't work out he either made it work or showed me other options. This was the second truck I have purchased from Bob Johnson's. The first deal that I have done with Joey. I will absolutely be buying my next vehicle from him. I was trying to do all of my shopping online and Joey was the only salesperson who returned my emails in a timely fashion and actually answered ALL of the questions that I asked in detail. Others either never contacted me or just wanted me to come in and see them. Joey and I had our transaction almost 100% completed via email before I even walked into the dealership. When I left, I left with not only a new truck and a new favorite salesperson, but someone I can count on during my ownership experience if I need someone to run interference for me if there are any major problems. Since purchasing my vehicle Joey has taken very good care of me to make sure that I don't have any questions or problems that haven't been fixed. I would just like to end this review by saying I would send any of my friends or family members to Joey Grimshaw. He is a real asset to the Bob Johnson's team. And their service department also goes above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase once you own it and inevitably it needs service.

We arrived on the lot on a Sunday morning just before 11. We drove around the lot and saw the exact vehicle we were looking for. Steve walked over to us and asked us if we wanted to go for a test drive. We didn't realize it but the dealership is sometimes open on the last Sunday of the month. Steve introduced us to the finance manager who was able to arrange our financing that same day. We picked up the car after undercoating and UV protecting gloss coating was applied. When we noticed a problem with the weather stripping we brought it to Steve's attention and he told us he would take care of it. As the parents of two year old triplets we do not have enough child care to drive a vehicle to the dealership and back even though they are very close to where we live. Steve helped with getting the vehicle to and from the shop and even stopped by to get our signature on the replacement title for the trade in (we moved mid last year and have still not completely unpacked). When ever we perceived there might be a problem to completing the transaction Steve was always quick to suggest and then follow through with a solution. We were very happy with the overall experience and never felt like we were being "sold" to. All of the conversation was just friendly talking. We wanted to buy and they wanted to sell. It was the best car shopping and buying experience in my life.

It was so easy..made an apt..went it...drove the truck we wanted...went to finance...left within 2 hours...went back 2 days later ..signed papers and left with our shiny new baby! Last Year I purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer. One of the vehicles was a used silverado pickup it was a 2002 so it was 9 years old when purchased. Less than a year later I bought it in for service and the repair bills were costly. I did have an extended warranty but out of pocket expenses were high.After talking to my sales associate,used car manager and service personnel I felt issues were not getting resolved. A sales associate advised me to talk to either the General Manager or the Owner. After talking to the right person, which was the General Manager my issue were resolved. The General Manager and owner do not want unhappy customers and are more than willing to right any wrongs. They went out of their way to resolve this issue. I will recommend and buy from this dealer. Before writing a bad review talk to the right people and I am confident they will make your experience a good one.

The service department is very friendly I have never had a bad experience or had service that was less than 100%. Chris Codd is whom I always speak to, he keeps me continuously informed and updated with the progress of my vehicle. He is friendly and always a pleasure to deal with. I would like to mention the particular mechanic who is the reason I choose Bob Johnson to service both my vehicles and that is Dave Secash. I am not sure if the mechanics ever get recognition since they do not directly have contact with the customers. His work is meticulous nothing less than perfect and I never have any doubt that my car will not be fixed correctly or that he will never know the solution to the fix.

My wife was in need of a dependable year round vehicle. I located a a used Saturn Vue online at the dealership. I was not able to go with my wife to test drive it so I called to speak with a salesperson about the vehicle and to inform him that my wife would come by after work to test drive it. I felt bad having her go alone because every salesmen I have every delt with were slimeballs with the exception of Saturn people. But they are no more. I must have been very lucky or the stars were aligned or maybe it was just Karma, but the operator dericted my phone call to RANDY KLATT.He was very polite on the phone and assured me he would take care of my wife when she would come in later that evening. She arrived and drove the car and liked it. The next day an offer was made and Randy went to work making the deal go through. The finance department did a fantastic job to find the right loan for her needs. The day of delivery was when I met Randy for the first time. Now I'm very apprehensive when it comes to salesmen and their phoney bologny. RANDY KLATT IS GENUINELY A NICE GUY!Hard to belive, I know, but its true. He made the paperwork process quick and easy while explaining every bit of it to my wife every step of the way. Not a big deal you may think, but imagine if it was your child sitting in front of him buy their first car. For some people that could be a nerve wrecking expirience. Randy has a personality that just makes you comfortable buying from him. That Friday am we drove to P.A. right after taking delivery for a weekend trip. Later that day in P.A. we noticed a noise from the front of the car. My wife called Randy to inform him of the problem but he had left for the day. Saturday morning right at 9am when the dealership opened Randy called to find out what the problem was. He re-assured my wife that he would make things right and as long as the car was driveable(which it was), to put it out of her mind and to enjoy the weekend. He will be waiting with a loaner on Monday while the shop looked at the vehicle. My wife pulled in to the dealership and Randy met her at the door and introduced her to the service manager. They both re-assured her everything would be taken care of. I made a list of things I found that werent working properly and my wife gave that to the service manager. Randy stayed in constant contact with the service manager and relayed updates to my wife. The service dept had to order parts for repair, which took a couple of days. Randy offered to let my wife have the loaner for the entire period but the Saturn was quite driveable, so she took her vehicle until the parts came in. The issues were not dangerous conditions. Once the parts arrived RANDY called and was waiting once again at the door to meet my wife and escorted her to the service dept. He then gave her another loaner and told her that he would give her updates and he did. The service manager also contacted my wife with updates and to let her know repairs were done. Once again, it was RANDY that was waiting at the door to meet my wife when she came to pick up her vehicle. The service paperwork was documented in the itemized order that I had listed on the paper that my wife gave them when she dropped of the vehicle.I understand now why Bob Johnson Chevy is Rochesters Top Dealership. Its because of the customer service before and after the sale. But the one thing that really stands out is RANDY KLATT! He treated my wife as if she was his own daughter. Randy is a salesman that honestly really cares about his clients. Randy is our saleman from now on in. I wont go anywhere else. He really should give seminars on how to be a good salesperson, because he is the professor. If your family or friends need a vehicle, GO SEE RANDY KLATT AT BOB JOHNSON CHEVY.

You can bring a used car back under warranty as many times as you like they won't find anything wrong as soon as the warranty expires they can find everything you complained about and now YOU have to pay for the repairs.DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THEM.I complained about the drivers door they replaced weather stripping now they say it needs bushings.We complained of a rubbing and noise in the front end TWICE they couldn't find anything now 4 months later front end bearing is gone CV shaft boot is torn the brakes are bad and the intermittent noise we complained about is constant. We have not even put 5k miles on this truck so much for the sign out front Certified Used Cars . A selling point for us was they sold this truck new and have done all the service work since then . They have lost our business forever

I had a horrible experience while looking for a used vehicle at Bob Johnson Chevrolet. Let me first say that the reason I went there was because everyone in my family has bought cars from them and had a good experience. I found a car that I wanted online and went there to test drive it. I walked around the sales department for a half hour before anyone asked me if they could help. I said that I wanted to test drive this car and Lee Patterson went with me and I LOVED it. It was a Pontiac G6 GTP. It was everything I wanted and more. In my price range (actually below it) so I put a deposit down on the car to hold it until Friday when I got my income tax return. This was on Monday and on Wednesday Lee calls me and says that they got another G6 in with all the same stuff except it wasnt a GTP and it didnt have leather seats. He asked if I wanted to come in and test drive it. So I went after I got out of work and test drove it. Came back and said that I liked it but i liked the other one better. He procedes to tell me that the other car was SOLD!!! I was like WHAT! I put a deposit down on this car and no one even bothered to call me and tell me that someone else was interested? He was like yeah I'm sorry but we moved your deposit to this car and already have it approved for you so you can take it home as soon as you have the down payment. I was appalled that they would do that and not even ask me! I even checked with my bank and on the cashed check they crossed out the 1st VIN and wrote a new one. SO they knew even before cashing the check that they weren't going to sell me the car. When I called them to get my money back (B/C there was no way I was buying a car from them) I asked Lee why no one called me and even BOTHERED to ask or explain what happened and he couldnt give me an answer! I would NEVER recommend going to Bob Johnson Chevrolet for ANY cars! Not to mention they lost ALL of my families business and that's 40+ people!

Buying a used car is without a doubt my least favorite thing in the world to do, however both Randy Klatz in sales and Maryann in finance did a great job of making the process go as smoothly and painlessley as possible. I felt that both of them understood and respected the budget that I had to work within and at no time did I feel that they were trying to "upsell" me on anything. I have yet to use the service department, but I am hopeful that too will be a positive experience.

We were in the market for a new full size truck and decided to stop at Bob Johnson Chevrolet. We walked in the door and met Randy Klatt and he went out of his way to show us different truck models and answer alot of questions. He explained the different buyer's incentives that were available, but at no time was "pushy" just to make a sale. He was polite and cooperative and helped us order after market accessories that we wanted to add to our new truck. Let me start by saying I love my car!!! Between the GM Rebates and the deals given by Bob Johnson Chevrolet, no one else in the city could even meet the price. Everyone including my salesman Chuck, Maryanne in finance, and Salesman Tim were attentive, courteous, and couldn't do enough for me. The customer service in the service department was prompt even without an appointment. This was an overall great experience even for a WOMAN coming in to buy a car. And to top all of this off, my 2011 Malibu is awesome. It drives like a dream. It's fun, classy, safe and a solid ride (Even when I (by accident) took a 90 degree right turn at 45mph, slammed the brakes, squeeled the tires and with one slight turn of the steering wheel the car straightened out extremely smooth and was 4 wheels solid to the ground). I have driven many cars in my past 35 plus years of driving experience and this Malibu is the best. Thank you GM for getting this one right!! Thank you Bob Johnson for making this affordable enough for me achieve having.

Knowing that my lease would soon be up I went to Bob Johnson Chevrolet where I had last leased my Trailblazer. I found that Chuck Rocco was now with Bob Johnson and knowing Chuck to be an honest professional I was pleased to work with him on my next purchase. Over the last three months Chuck kept in contact with me knowing I wanted a new Traverse, but not a high lease payment. Rather than trying to strong arm me into a quick sale he waited and watched the available offers and brought me in for a great car at a great price. The manager Dan D'ettore also took time to work with me, explain my options, and saw to it that I was happy with the sale. All around, my third GM lease and again Bob Johnson was the place to make the purchase!

I walked into the dealership and was approached by Chuck Rocco who asked if he could help me. It turns out that Chuck and I had a mutual friend so I immediately felt at ease with him. Chuck was very patient with me as I wasn't really sure what model I was looking for or even if I wanted to buy or lease. Chuck walked me around the lot and showed me several cars trying to get a feel for what I wanted. Chuck then mentioned that he had a car he thought I would like. It was a Impala SS and I loved the car the moment I saw it. We took the car for a quick ride and I was convinced that this was the car I wanted. Last month we purchased a 2006 LaCrosse from Bob Johnson Chevy and were very pleased with the entire car buying experience. We had spent the previous week going from dealership to dealership, and so by the time we walked in the door we knew what kind of vehicle we were looking for and what a competitive price was.Upon arriving we were helped by Chuck Rocco who handled our sale. The sale progressed at our pace and we never felt under pressure to buy. We test drove the vehicle a half dozen times over the course of a week. Chuck worked with us to get a competitive price and made sure the little details were taken care of. For example, after we left the dealership we realized we forgot the cargo net for the trunk. Before we could contact them about this, Chuck took the initiative and called us about it. As a matter of fact he even brought it our way, not making us swing by the dealership and pick it up.Chuck was knowledgeable about the vehicles, but what was perhaps the most refreshing thing about the sale was he was honest. Owning several Buicks in the past, we were very familiar with the vehicles, and how they should drive. We asked a lot of tough questions about the handling and mechanics. Other dealership salesmen pretended they understood everything about the cars, and brushed off our concerns with vague inaccurate answers. Chuck answered our questions when he could, and when he couldn't he went looking for the answer. He put us in touch with a knowledgeable mechanic and even provided car schematics. He worked with us to diagnose an often overlooked steering column issue. He made sure steering column was repaired and the car was running like new. We had actually noticed the same mechanical issue with another LaCrosse we had test drove, but that dealership refused to acknowledge the problem.It is for these reasons that we will not hesitate to contact Chuck when we are shopping for our next vehicle.

I had a fantastic experience at Bob Johnson Chevrolet a few weeks ago when I went shopping for a new car! I worked with Chuck, who had sold me a used car at a different dealership years ago. It was a complete coincidence that I ran into Chuck at Bob Johnson's, but I was extremely glad to see him! Chuck was very nice and accomodating, even though I was buying a used car on a small budget. I felt comfortable working with him from my past experience and this one was just as pleasant as the first! I had been searching for a new car after my old car suddenly died for a solid week with no luck. I walked into Bob Johnson on a Monday, and by Wednesday I was driving my new car. Chuck found a car that could fit my budget and my needs quickly and easily! Chuck has checked in with me several times since to be sure I was happy with the purchase, and I am! Working with Chuck Rocco was a pleasant experience. They did not have the model I wanted on the lot because Chevy wasn't making the RS package yet, so had to order. He kept me up to date on what was going on and the minute the Cruze RS came in he let me know. He was very thorough on every detail throughout the process. I purchased a car about three years ago and everything ran smoothly until the sale was final. I was assured that I would receive the stock rims to my car because the salesman's "buddy" was the one who traded the car in. Winter came and still no rims. I ended up just purchasing other rims for winter tires. Three years later and I have yet to see them. I went back to the dealership to see the employee to see if I could get his "buddies" phone number so I could see what was going on and he refused to give it to me . He said he would call me if he heard anything trying to brush me off and then I asked if he even knew who I was which he did not remember so how was he supposed to contact me. All I was looking for was an answer which i still do not have. The second issue I had was the tint on the windows. We just wanted to know if they were legal and he said he brought them to get tested and said they were fine. Three weeks later i got pulled over because the tint was not legal. BUYERS BEWARE!!! They care about you during the sale and apparently not after. Satisfied with the car but not the way agreements were handled. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!
