Mark at Bob Maxey Lincoln was just fantastic. Found the exact car I was looking for (2015 Lincoln MKZ, black, tan interior, and had it ready in no time. Very polite, very professional. Bob Maxey himself is very easy to get ahold of and he was open to a chat. Great vibe in that place. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Went to view a CPO MKS back in March, weather was rainy, cold and windy so we were very serious about a purchase. When we got to the dealer the car we had found on their website was already sold. Eric told us he had another MKS that he was driving it was not cleaned up but if we wanted to drive it we could. We took it out for about 20 minutes and came back, we asked to see it in the light to which Eric and Dan gladly complied. I reviewed the exterior while my wife reviewed the interior. We discovered a scratch on the lower rt front fender to which they said they would "replace or re-paint". It appeared that we were destined for this car. The car was priced at $27,500 and Eric offered it to us for $26,500 because " we appeared to be serious buyers given the weather outside". When we asked if he car was "pre-certified" we were told it was. We told Eric and Dan that we were going to check out another dealership, Eric said if " if we took the car tonight he would now offer it at $25,000". We asked if he would honor that price and he said until 9:00 pm. We were told that the dealer we were going to was known for being "shady". Regardless we went only to return to Bob Maxxey and put a $200 deposit down to hold the vehicle while we worked on a check ( aka cash) for the purchase. We thought the deal was done and that we would have our CPO 2012 MKS, my wife discovered on Bob Maxxey's web site that this vehicle was offered as a used car for $26,500 so that $1000 reduction in price was not a "your a serious buyer.... Offer. We received a check for the purchase amount of of the vehicle a few days later and we had some questions and comments as we were going to overlook the used car price. We were set up with a finance person and we asked her about the issues of used car and now we wanted to know when the car was "Pre-certified", she informed us it was just done the day before.... We were told it was already done? At this point we were starting to question the integrity of this deal. We asked to see the 200 point checklist and noticed that the scrape on the lower right fender was not noted on the report. When I questioned this I was told that we don't always list everything because Ford will start asking a lot of questions. Well at this point we told our finance person that the deal was broken, she replied to us " what would it take to save the deal" and what did we want? I informed her that what would they do and perhaps we needed to speak with Mr. Maxxey himself to get some clarification on this deal. Two days went by and we only heard back from her that Mr. Maxxey was not available but he would be in contact with us the very next day. Day came and went and no call. Against my better judgement I was willing to see this deal through as we met with our finance person and Eric only to be told that "he" Eric did not think that this issue was something Mr. Maxxey needed to deal with because "they did nothing wrong", Eric would not admit to any misunderstandings, wrong doings or misinformation and said " it was nice doing business with you" and walked out of the office. At this point the deal was broken and I asked for the check back. The practices of this dealership during this episode are questionable and I would say " buyer beware". I will not purchase or recommend Bob Maxxey Lincoln to anyone interested in the "Lincoln" experience. We did make our purchase at another Lincoln dealership.

Had the unfortunate experience of having to take my car here for service. Although the problem was fixed with my transmission I feel that I was taken for a ride on the final bill. The job was completed in just over 6 hours which can be validated by my phone records. At $99.95 an hour for labor it should have been between $600 to $700 for labor but I was charged for 12.8 hours of labor. As I questioned this I was told that the Ford book said they could charge the 12.8 hours of labor and I had authorized the job. I am not sure how Ford sets these rates but if the job is done in half the time then obviously they need to revisit their procedure for setting the labor rates. Maybe they are set for trainees learning the job procedures. I also had my engine check light illuminated after the transmission went out. I asked them about this and they said they didn't think it was related. I asked if they had run the codes and they mentioned it would be $106.95 to check it out. Really? These guys have the perfect roadmap to anyone's wallet that happens to end up there. It was just unfortunate that my car had to be disabled on the road and I didn't have any other options. I would not recommend having service done here unless you have plenty of disposable cash on hand. Hope they have a good time with the extra money they took from me for labor hours not performed!

Came in for check up- said I needed a fuel pump ($1000) Said they replaced it. Drove 600 miles from MI to NYC. (I live in NY but had car checked out in MI while visiting family) Car wouldn't start next time I used it. Had it towed to my local mechanic who said they did NOT replace fuel pump. It was dirty and looked like parts were used. Tried to get 2nd repair reimbursed ($850) Bob Maxey would not honor their work- had to pay 2x for repair. They daid "well, sometimes we don't replace ALL of the fuel pump/parts, etc. Clearly they did not. WOW. They do not stand by their work. Whtever they can get away with I guess. Maybe b/c I'm a woman they thought they could screw me over? No idea but SHAME ON THEM.

While at the dealer for collision repair, car was driven 500 miles, items missing from car, car damaged, gas used, license plate removed, badly bent when put back on after it was returned to dealer. My mileage records agreed with theirs, yet they refused to accept their own or my records, denied everything, were extremely rude.

As long as places hire people like Dan, entire companies will get a bad rep.Started off being a decent guy but quickly played "I don't know" on repeat to all my question. When I asked about a scratch - his reply "so what?"When my wife asked about the price and negotiation - his reply "its not my problem"Its sad that I was willing to make a sale and this person stood in the way. If you don't want to negotiate, make your used car prices more in line. Also a heads up, cars sit here for months, do your research. But when you come, somehow "another person was here 30mins ago"...don't fall for it. I came here alone once (spent 40mins) and again with my wife (spent another 1hr)...both times there was not a single person browsing the lot.

I was only looking (window shopping) and not planning to purchase (lease) when I went into the dealership. I was trying to get ideas for a purchase (lease) in July, 2011. The salespersons were very attentive to my needs and requests that I wanted to have in a car. They explained the rebate programs that were available at the time along with added features. They were able to answer my questions as well as ensuring that the finance portion met my needs. They were patient with me as I made the decision to lease vs purchase. I did not feel the strong pressure that usually exist when shopping for a new car.

The service and personal attention that I received was something I was not used to. My car was delivered to my residence and the time that Mike took showing me how to use the care was unexpected and very appreciated. Thank you Mike at Bob Maxey Lincoln Mercury.

Bait and Switch: I wish I had read the prior reviews before visiting this dealer. I saw in their vehicle inventory online a Ford Fusion SE, 10800 miles, for $13780. I was excited because the vehicle auto check report attached had no accidents etc. I called up on Fri around 5:30 PM and set up an appointment (with Dan) for test drive next day at 10 am. I drove down 45 miles from Novi to visit the dealership at 1030 am. I went upto Dan, who was all alone in the dealership, and asked him about the test drive of Fusion. He pretended to look up the inventory and then said he sold the vehicle that morning. He offered up other vehicles (Mercury) etc with lot more miles, and for lot more dollars. When confronted on this issue, Dan mentioned that he was not interested in arguing with me. He mentioned that vehicles get sold quickly etc..The entire dealership was empty with hardly any souls around...I can't believe he sold a $14 K vehicle in half hour. I had provided my cell phone and asked him simply why didn't you call me. He mentioned that he was out cleaning up the snow and couldn't make the call. So he essentially sold a used ford fusion in half hour, while cleaning up the snow...COME ON!!! I would have been happy to look at other vehicles, if he was transparent and honest. Now, I don't want to step inside the dealership again. I would like to inform all the public about this episode so that you are fore warned...Maybe you won't have to experience this behavior, because I don't think the dealership can survive long with this kind of business practises/ethics.

My husband and I went to buy a used vehicle. We dealt with Agent of sales Dan Kowalsky who seemed like a decent guy. We found an interesting vehicle and asked if it was okay to try it. So far no problem, we test drive it and it was fine. Then back at the dealership, I asked Dan if he knew anything about the history of the vehicle. He answered no looking at me straight in the eyes. Then he asked if we wanted to leave a deposit and when we said no, that we were going to think about it, he pressured us with his boss. They talked two feet away from us, thinking that they were being smooth. No, they really could not budge on the price. This was the best price. The mountaineer were going high in this season and would be more expensive by the end of the day. B.S !!!Back at home, we ran carfax to find out the car had been purchased at auction from a large rental company and had been in an collision. We called Dan and asked again if he knew the history of the vehicle. He said no. When my husband said we had all info, his memory came back. It sucks to have to pay 35 dollars on carfax because people can't be honest.Don't go there. They suck.

I took my car in for service and they created many new problems for my car. It was in for the 150,000 service, no lights were on and I was not having any problems with my car. After having it serviced at this dealership, they cracked the engine mount and racked up over $2000 worth of fraud in repairs. I took it for service to make sure my car would stay as reliable as it had been and now I am afraid to drive it on the highway. DO NOT let this dealer service your car, you will have nothing but problems afterwards.
