The sales team was very helpful. Ray guided me through my options for financing my new car. He took the time to make sure I understood all of the features of my new vehicle. Al helped me choose the warranty and maintenance coverage that was right for me. Both made the new car buying process a great experience.

Awesome experience trading in my 2010 VW Passat for a 2017 VW Tiguan Wolfsburg. I worked exclusively with Ray Rocha And Al Whelan. Could not have asked for better service. 10/10, 5 stars, whatever it may be these guys were awesome. I certainly plan on coming back. Everything was transferred for me with their Drive program which made things exceptionally less painful. I would recommend Boston VW to anybody. Thanks Ray and Al!

I received highly professional and excellent service all around making the car buying experience much more reassuring and enjoyable. I had a very smooth experience working with Bill Burns buying my first car and felt the most comfortable I ever have through the car buying process. Great showroom as well.

My husband and I recently leased a new vehicle with Billy Burns and I can't say enough great things about the process start to finish. Their new showroom is immaculate, they had the model we wanted in stock and ready to take home, and their prices were far and above the lowest and most honest we've received. We felt Billy genuinely cared about our customer experience and we left feeling incredibly reassured that we made the right decision. I would highly recommend Boston VW for any new purchase or service!

My husband and I needed to replace our old Jetta so on a whim we went to the closest VW dealership. The dealership was welcoming from the start, very clean and comfortable. We worked mostly with Ray, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. We went over a number of options and in the end signed a lease on the exact car we knew we wanted and even took it home that night! Ray went out of his way to cancel the plates for us for our old car and worked with our insurance company to get everything done in one day. It was a pain free first time car leasing experience!

I needed a car for my daughter who will be commuting back and forth to college in the fall. We both liked the Jetta and were already convinced it would be the car for her. After spending all morning car shopping on the phone Boston VW met our budget. We got there at 3pm and drove home with her new Jetta that night. The financing process was easy and everyone was professional and very nice.

Needed a late model Passat quickly and required creative financing. Antonio Miles and Michael Roberts got me into a new 2016 Passat in my color choice and trim level when I thought all I could qualify for was a 3-4 year old Passat. Got a reasonable trade-in value for my old Passat which I also bought from Boston Volkswagen. I have always used Boston VW for service with excellent experiences.Tony and Mike went out of their way to help me out, and make the deal happen quickly. I am very, very pleased with Tony and Mike. I recommend them and Boston VW without hesitation.Bob H

I don't think there is anywhere I go on a regular basis that gives me this level of customer service. From Dave who helped me get my new lease, to Antonio who took care of me on my return visit, to Ronnie in service who is so great every time I come in, I couldn't be happier working with Boston VW.

Wanted to replace our diesel Jetta wagon with a comparable gas vehicle, we bought a new Golf wagon, and our salesman suggested the Special Edition. Since the only manual was the basic version but we didn't mind going to automatic, and since this level had many extra features with little more cost we went for it. We've been very happy with this dealership, and with our new (but very experienced) salesman, Bill Burns. Thanks!

Antonio Miles was our sales agent, and he was fantastic. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, efficient and effective. Remember that time you had a great experience from the moment you walked into the showroom to the moment you drove off in your new car? Me neither... until I came to Boston VW! The entire team was professional and knowledgeable, allowing me to focus on what really mattered - finding my next car! I've been a VW owner for nearly a decade and am already looking forward to coming back... in 3 years! Thanks, Dave, Erick, and Al!

I had the pleasure of working with Antonio Miles. I never felt as though Antonio was trying to sell me something I didn't want. He let me lead the conversation and showed me exactly what I came in to see. I left more satisfied than I'd expected. I hope to buy my next car with him when my lease is up in a few years. My new car was spotless and ready when they said it would be.

This was my first time leasing a car and it was a very smooth process. Bill Burns was my sales rep and he was great. We communicated via email and he gave me a price and the next night I went in for a test drive (and loved it). The night after that I signed all the paperwork and was able to take the car home! It was overall a very smooth process and everyone was easy/very helpful to work with.

My overall experience was excellent. The sales associate who helped me, Ray Rocha, wasn't a sales robot, and actually listened to what I wanted, helping me complete a new car purchase in three hours. The business manager Al Whelan was also very helpful without being aggressive at all. The sales manager Brian Roberts made sure everything went smoothly, and went out of his way to make my car available faster than expected. The sales consultant who went over the car with me at pickup, Antonio Miles, was extremely knowledgeable and he made me feel great about my choice and comfortable with my new Jetta.

This was my first time ever leasing a new car all on my own. These guys were so nice and so helpful. They made sure to answer every and all of my questions and made me feel extremely comfortable. Instead of acting like they just wanted to sell a car they made sure I was comfortable and did not pressure me into feeling a certain way. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to any and all my friends and family. I'm extremely happy with my decision on my new car and so happy that I was able to get it from such a friendly dealership.

I bought 3 VW from Boston VW. My first golf was four door silver. Got it in 1999. Second was a 20th Edition GTI rabbit. One of my fav that car I had for 12 years and running strong. Had to sell it since I need a car for longer commute with technology. Needless to say I bought another Golf since I had very positive experience here. I got myself a golf R. This is a whole different breed. A more grown up version of my previous GTI. This is my first lease vehicle. After this lease ends I had driven a VW golf for 2 decades and am very happy with it. Sales man Antonio is laid back relax and gave me info for comparison. Which really helps me narrow down what my choices were. Erick Martinez from finances explain the payment and done the math for me to help me decide what's best for me. All in all I had a great experience. You should come check out their newly renovated showroom. Hopes this makes it easier for you to choose a dealer to go to.

I had no intention of leasing a new vehicle just yet (I was actually there for a service appointment) but I was talking with Erick in the waiting area and he suggested I think about turning in my lease for a new vehicle. I was presented with a very reasonable offer and decided to move forward. Everyone I met thereafter was very personable and thoughtful and not at all pushy. I generally dislike the car buying experience, but this was actually enjoyable! I highly recommend Boston VW if you're considering purchasing a new vehicle! The service department is great as well.

I went in a couple of weekends ago entertaining (but not wedded to) the idea of buying a new car. I should note that this is my second VW and I've been bringing my old car to Boston VW for at least six years. As such I'm on a first name basis with half of the service department, but this was to be my first experience working with sales.I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased my old car in Virginia (BIG mistake if you're planning on bringing it to MA immediately), and it was a six hour ordeal I was in no hurry to revisit. While we were at the dealership for close to four hours, it didn't feel like it, and I have to say that the remodeled showroom is very comfortable. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Erick and Ray handled the sales and negotiation piece and were great. Antonio was happy to help me set up Car-Net while I waited to talk to Al, and Al was great with the finance piece, super fast and no fuss! Thanks guys, I'll see you when I come in for my 10k.

Let me start by saying I am a single mom with 2 energetic young Boys. While the dealership appears small when you drive by, they make up for it in service bringing the car I had chosen to test drive inside (during inclimate weather) so i could do a walk around the car and see all that it has to offer, and take my time. Showed me the right car with the right features within my budget. Then they got me into my new car the very next day! We had a small wait while we finished the paper work and my kids got to enjoy the large screen tv on their favorite channel while coloring in Volkswagen coloring books and snacking :-) Very happy with my experience, will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Antonio for all your help.

My purchase of my new 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan at Boston Volkswagen was a pleasant experience. Salesperson Mike Petersante and Sales Manager Brian Roberts were easy to work with, and treated me with respect. Even before I purchased this car from Boston VW, I brought my other VW's here for service because they have always been thorough, quick and fair and I never felt like I was paying for work that I didn't need. Al L., who runs the service department, is fantastic. I recently pruchased a 2012 Tiguan and Antonio, Erick and Al W. made the buying process painless and worked with me on getting exactly what I wanted for the right price. I would highly recommend this dealership.

I give my Boston Volkswagen 2016 Tiguan leasing experience 5 stars. I had an amazing experience. I was met only with friendliness, honesty, and a tireless effort to get me the car of my dreams :) I have very little experience with dealerships and was seeking a Volkswagen after a terrible and sketchy experience looking for RAV4s at Copeland Toyota -- whose dealers were not only pushy, dishonest, and trying to rip me off, they also would not give me any specific numbers at all unless I promised them that I would sign for a car that day! I then tried Paul Clark Volkswagen in Brockton -- avoid! They could not even tell me which Tiguan trims came with LEDs or GPS, they offered to lease me a 2013 (?), and the manager openly yelled at his employee right in front of my face. It was extremely uncomfortable. However, after test driving a Tiguan, I knew I had to have one.My friend and I arrived at the clean and modern Boston Volkswagen late on a weekday night determined to lock down a Tiguan (I had already paid for 2 weeks of a rental car by this point) and was greeted by a friendly Bill Burns. He asked me about my budget and openly and honestly explained the price components of the leasing process, including how monthly payments are calculated and what would due at signing, depending on the down payment I elected to put down. He even included tax in the monthly payment price quotes to give me a better idea of what I would actually be paying -- the other dealerships did not do this and had I proceeded with them I could have easily been tricked into something I could not afford. When it came the time to nail down a price, Bill took the time to describe in detail the differences between each trim level and helped me weigh the trim level options according to my priorities and budget. Erick Martinez and Bill were very patient with us as we talked through the pricing. By the time we had discussed everything and came to an agreement, it was more than an hour past the time the dealership was supposed to close -- Bill and Erick were extremely friendly about this and at no point did I feel rushed through the process. I very much appreciated this :)After my credit was run the next morning (as there was no way to run the paperwork that day since I signed it an hour past closing!), it turned out I needed a cosigner. I spoke over the phone with Bill and Al Whelan about this, who were both very nice and encouraging about the situation and didn't make me feel guilty for having below-average credit, or hopeless that I wouldn't be able to get my dream car. After I arranged for a cosigner, I let Al and Bill know that my cosigner is a very busy man and would have a tough time getting to Watertown to sign the documents. I also let them know that by this point I had exceeded the maximum number of extensions on my rental car contract and did not have a means of getting to Watertown myself. This still did not stop them! An arrangement was made for Bill and his colleague to drive my Tiguan (with dealer plates) to my cosigner's workplace and meet us there so that we could sign the final documents, meanwhile Bill's colleague affixed my plates. After the documents were signed, Bill gave me a tour of my dream car which was now mine!! :) I am extremely appreciative of my whole experience at Boston Volkswagen and for the gracious employees I worked with. They got me a great deal on a cute, fun-to-drive, safe car! I had such a great experience that I felt they deserved this length and extent of a review. I would recommend this dealership to anyone (even if you are an hour south of it like I am) :)

Mike Petersante and Erick Martinez were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. They made leasing a car easy ... even pleasant. I went to 4 dealers before VW and found the best deal, as well as the best service at Boston VW. There was no wait time while they "ran numbers", they served me coffee, and made sure I knew everything about my car's features before I left. Mike even picked me up from the rental car office.

I've been taking my 1998 VW New Beetle in for service and developed our first relationship with Mike DaCruz. It is because of him that when it was time to retire the Beetle, we wanted to stay with VW Boston to find the replacement. Jeff, Brian and Erick are out of this world. They don't just want to make a deal, they want it to be YOUR deal. They made it work FOR US. Because of that, the next day we decided we wanted to trade in our Mazda for a Tiguan, to make our household a VW driving family. We thought it was a long shot since we owed more on it than what it was worth. But, once again, they made it work for us. We are so happy we found a dealer that is trustworthy. What sets them apart is that they care about their customers. They are all so friendly and personable. I feel like I've known these guys for years. I won't go anywhere else as long as I am in the Boston area. I've never trusted the opinions, or built up a relationship with any service or dealer as I have with these guys. Also, stop in and say hi to Al. He's not only knowledgeable with the cars, he's fun to talk with about history!

Mike Petersante gave me excellent service and unparalleled attention. I appreciated Mike's dedication to work with me, allowing me to test drive multiple vehicles, and working with me closely to complete our transaction. Of particular interest and admiration, I appreciated Mike's willingness to expedite the purchase process to accommodate other plans I had made. To do this, Mike had everything prepared to complete my purchase before my arrival; that preparation and dedication allowed me to make it to my previous engagement. I appreciated his dedication and professionalism during this purchase, and, if given the opportunity, would absolutely return to Volkswagen in Watertown, MA.

Mike DaCruz over at Boston VW is an excellent person to work with. He and his co-worker Armando are first class all the way. Both are sympathetic and unfailingly patient. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Going through the dealership for repairs is expensive, but to me having the expertise, and many times the parts on site, to do the job right the first time is worth the trade off. It helps that I can walk home after dropping the car off for service, but you can't go wrong dealing with these two guys. They are a credit to their profession and Volkswagen.

My wife and I had a lease for a 2013 VW passat. We had a great experience the first time and our VW was great we went right back to Boston VW to re-lease another car. This was the simplest process I have ever had buying a car. We got their, Bill found our car let us take it for a drive and within minutes of our return and telling him where we needed to be, and what we could put down, he came back with a price less than what we asked with less money down to get it than we offered. Great honest dealership. After that Chris the manager helped us and mailed down all the details, payments terms etc. we signed and were done. Total process was so quick and easy, we came back 2 days later and picked up the car. We dealt with Al in finance who great then Mike delivered us the car and spent a lot of time with us explaining every detail of the card and set up our phones via bluetooth etc. This was such a good experience buying a car it is now 7 days later and I went back to buy a VW from them and traded in my Kia because the tiguan we got for my wife is awesome. the standard base model has leather, heated seat, push button start, back up camera, touch screen radio and more. check out the car and go to Boston VW, we now bought 3 cars there and they make car buying easy. They do great work from start to delivery. Thanks to Bill and Mike in sales and Chris the sales manager and Al in finance.

Why would a dealer list a vehicle that is no longer in their inventory? Seems a little disingenuous, no? What purpose does it serve other than to mislead?

When my Jetta of 10 years died on me; I went to Boston Volkswagen to look for a new car. I had used their body shop and service departments before and found them to be great. The process of leasing the car was easy and everyone was very friendly. When the car was totaled, I returned to lease a new car and everyone was super helpful in making the process as easy as possible. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to others looking for a new or used car. The construction should be completed soon and the show room will be much nicer. They are doing a great job of making the current set-up work in the time being. Thanks for the cars, Bill!

I recently purchased a new VW Tiguan at Boston Volkswagen of Watertown. The interaction with the Sales Consultant Michael Petersante, Sales Manager Chris Trombone and Finance Manager Al Whelan was truly a comfortable experience. These gentlemen personified the highest degree of professionalism and courtesy during and after the purchase was completed. I would recommend them to anyone considering a vehicle purchase. On another note, I currently have a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg and have and will continue to have the vehicle serviced at Boston VW. Service consultant Armando Saenz has always insured the best service, attention to detail, courtesy and professional I've come to expect. Thanks again guys.

Overall a great experience. Bill Burns was knowledgeable, helpful and showed a lot of initiative. He followed up but was not too much. The facilities left a lot to be desired, although I understand that they are under construction.

Elias at VW gave me a wonderful first impression of this dealership both on the phone and in person! The entire staff was friendly, professional, knowledgable. They helped me transition out of my old Tiguan into a beautiful new one, it was a painless, pleasant experience. They answered all of my questions and eased my concerns as a first time brand-new car owner. They even promptly replied to text messages, which made the experience all the more convenient. I am very impressed with the staff and truly appreciate their kindness, honesty, and expertise. From my experience and observations, it's obvious they take wonderful care of their customers. I truly look forward to visiting them for my first oil change!

What a great experience! My wife and I had the excellent fortune of working with Bill at Boston Volkswagen. He patiently showed us and described the attributes of several VWs. We test drove a Jetta, 2 Passat models and a Tiguan. (We loved and chose to lease the Tiguan). He answered all of our questions, gave us very fair and honest prices, and applied no pressure on us to buy, letting the car sell itself. After we settled on a car, Bill took the time to explain how to use all of the car's great features. While the car buying experience can be stressful, Bill's good humor and nature made it fun. We are very happy with our experience, and we love our new car.

Couldn't ask for better customer service if I tried. From the start to the finish of this process Bill Burns and Al Whelan ensured that I was taken care of from securing the car from another dealer, to drawing up the leasing papers and helping me organize re financing as I was leasing a car to explaining all the logistics inside the car and the expectations of driving a car that atracts the cops as its tornado red and very sexy like its owner!

I came into the process of leasing a car with lots of nervousness because a previous experience at a different dealership had not gone well. I could not be happier with my experience at Boston Volkswagen! I was met by Bill Burns who recognized my voice from the conversation we had had days before to set up my appointment. The entire process was stress-free and I dare say fun! Bill was so friendly and funny! It truly felt like he was partnering with me to find the best vehicle for me. Boston Volkswagen may be tucked away in a random warehouse while the facilities get renovated but the entire experience and interacting with everyone who helped me left a huge impression on this very satisfied customer!

The crew at Boston VW are getting it done. John Welsh, the General Manager has put together a group of top knotch professionals who know what they are doing and doing it well. A challenging renovation project underway does nothing to affect each member of the buying process. Bill Burns knows his cars and informs rather than sells. Chris Trombino clearly knows the business of the business and put together a package that worked. Al, the closer, makes the paper signing informative and straightforward.. John Welch and his crew have created a stress free pleasant experience for me and I appreciate their help today. I enjoyed myself. Thanks crew

Although the shop is under major construction, we found our way to the sales department on the side of the building. I bet it will look amazing once the construction is complete. I was fortunate enough to accompany a friend while she was shopping for a new Jetta. From start to finish the customer service from Bill Burns was outstanding! He approached us shortly after we entered the show room as we were only "looking around." My friend had her eye on a certain Jetta and he let us take it for a test ride right away. Very refreshing that he did not try to up-sell us or mention other cars to look at as well. The whole process was very easy and stress free. After taking the car for a ride she fell in love (good job Bill). The car essentially sold itself. Bill laid out all the facts for my friend as I sat there and listened. He gave her some time to think it through, etc. There was no pressure at all for her to make a decision on the spot. She decided to go with the car, while we were still there. The whole process was flawless and stress-less. Bill was real with us regarding pricing and when she could pick up the car. She picked it up the next night after work. It was cleaned, filled with gas, had new rubber mats, and he took the time to show her how the car worked until she was comfortable enough to drive off the lot. I cant stress enough how amazing everyone was in the Watertown dealership, such a pleasure to deal with and I wasn't even the one buying the car. Thank you! I will be referring people to you going forward!

We worked with Mike P., who was professional and informative without being aggressive. We were offered a fair price for a great vehicle. The dealership was amenable to repairing a number of small scratches and dents on the used car and Mike included repair of a dent we hadn't noticed. After a delay in registering the car and in activating its Bluetooth system, Mike made our time up to us by filling up the tank. A painless experience. Highly recommend.

We went to Boston VW knowing exactly what we wanted in a new GTI. We worked with two different salesmen, Gavin and Bill, and both were extremely friendly, helpful and personable. Once our ordered car came in, Bill and Al in financing helped us close the deal quickly and easily. They walked us through each step with a friendly no-nonsense approach. The dealership has been under renovation but the service area and temporary sales area inside are clean and comfortable. We had a great experience as first-time car buyers and are in love with our new GTI. Definitely recommend this dealership to everyone.

Whenever my volksy needs a little TLC, I can always count on Armando to get my car in and taken care of. He keeps me in the loop regarding the cost, how long it will take and what needs to be done to my car. He is always professional and upfront with me. As a female, I never feel intimated about taking my car to Boston Volkswagen. Thanks for such great service, Armando!

I was looking at a number of cars and eventually decided to check out a Jetta. My salesman, Bill Burns, was very helpful in explaining the types of Jetta's and trying to match the car with the level of car I was used to driving (Saab 93). The process was seamless and I felt that everyone was very welcoming and informative. Bill went over every aspect of the car and accessories in great detail until I was comfortable. I am enjoying my new Jetta and looking forward to using the service department in the future

I'm a long time Volkswagen driver and Boston VW customer. I recommend VW, and this dealership in particular, to anyone. Bill Burns is a seasoned sales professional, is thoroughly knowledgeable about the VW fleet, and is focused on helping you find the car that meets your needs. Many of the service staff (Armando, Mike, Ronnie) have been at Boston VW for a long time and are professional and knowledgeable.

We found the car we wanted through Cars.com and spoke with Bil, our agent, several times before making the trip to Boston VW. From the first phone conversation to the final signature, every part of the process was straightforward and efficient. Bill (sales) and Jose (financing) were both professional, patient and a pleasure to work with. We had driven in from out of state and every effort was made to complete the transaction in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this dealership.

I went in to buy a Jetta to replace my old car. My previous car was the only car I'd ever owned so I was new to car dealerships in general. On the mission to replace my old car I had contacted some other local dealerships first and found them all far too pushy. To the point where I didn't bother emailing the VW dealership before heading in. I got the impression I could have. Everyone was very friendly and the entirely process was as straightforward and painless as possible. My sales rep was Michael. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He took me on a test drive and explained all the car features as we went. He helped me set up my car's bluetooth system after I had purchased it as well. I am happy with the car and happy with my overall experience. Paperwork took a long time but that happens from time to time. I feel like I made a good choice in car and I feel very comfortable with my purchase. The facility itself is currently under construction. It is a little confusing to find your way around right now. I expect this will improve once they're done with the construction. I just bought my car today so I haven't had to bring it in for repairs yet.

I cannot rate the service center at this location more highly. I'm continually amazed by the level of service provided by the service team and Armando Saenz in particular. I've worked with Armando for about a year since buying my Passat at this dealership. Armando's professionalism, friendly demeanor, honesty, and ability to clearly explain what's going on what my car in a way that is forthright and concise has saved me so much frustration compared to my past experiences with car repairs. Bottom line: No one wants to deal with car repairs but, since it's part of life, I cannot recommend Boston Volkswagon and Armando Saenz more highly. Armando is a huge asset to this enterprise and I look forward to working with him for many more years to come.

Looking to buy a new vehicle, I remembered how much I loved driving the VW Golf while traveling overseas last year. Out shopping, as I approached the Boston VW dealership, I wondered if it was closed due to the construction going on. Boy am I glad I drove in and realized they are indeed open for business!! Salesman Bill Burns was so very helpful, patient, and nice. I hadn't known exactly what I wanted, and Bill took the time to listen carefully so he could direct me to a vehicle with features that would match my needs and priorities. Jose Feliciano in financing was also very helpful, professional and friendly, and made the leasing very easy. What I loved most is that at every step of the way, there was absolutely zero pressure to buy, which is very different than I've experienced elsewhere. Without reservation, I'd recommend Boston VW to anyone! Oh, and I love my new Golf!

I came with my wife and my 2.5 year old son. Everyone was very nice and family friendly. They even gave my son two toy cars and played cars with him. Besides their welcoming openness, they are professional and efficient. Bill Burns did a fantastic job of listening what we wanted and showing us all the options. After we decided on a car, we could not decide which color we would like by just looking at the brochure. Bill took the initiative to show us cars outside with the different color options and gave us some time to discuss privately. Hence, no pressure and no attempts to sell us more than we wanted. More importantly, I appreciated how fast and efficient Bill and the other members were in organizing the car, dealing with license plates, registration, and arranging documents with the insurance. It took less than 24 hours and I had my car ready to go. This is how service should be; worry-free and efficient. To sum up, I can highly recommend Boston VW.

Overall a great experience. Bill Burns was awesome and worked with us to get the vehicle we wanted at the best price. Jose Feliciano the finance manager was extremely helpful and got us the best interest rate. Linda was friendly and directed us to Bill. Everyone we dealt with was professional and worked with us. Even though the dealership is going through a renovation the area was well lit and clean. There was no games being played here!!! We had been to multiple dealerships the week leading up to our purchase and Boston VW was hands down the best.

I just bought a 2015 Golf manual transmission from Boston VW. I worked with Bill Burns, who was very professional and helpful throughout. I first went to the dealer in December and explained what I wanted, Bill did not try to sell me something else. Instead, he located a manual transmission that was "in production" and took my deposit. Though the wait was a little longer than he anticipated, he kept me informed and reassured me that my car was coming. The day I finally went to see it, I was not feeling well and Bill again did not pressure me to take the car that day. I picked it up a few days later and one of his colleagues (John?) helped me. He was very thorough explaining the features of the car. Bill had set aside a cable for my iPhone, since he knew it was important to me to be able to charge my phone. I discovered a bubble under the protective coating, and Bill told me he would take care of it. All I have to do is call him when I can come in and he will give me a loaner car while the work is being done. It has been a pleasure working with Bill and I am one who typically does not do well in car dealerships.

A great, low-pressure buying experience. The sales representative I worked with, Bill Burns, had the certified pre-owned vehicle in which I was interested ready to go when I arrived, talked me through all of the certification checklist items, and let me make up my mind about the car in my own time. I got a great deal and had a great overall experience.

this dealer advertises a car with a great price, but when you show up at the dealership, they say it's already been sold. They then try to get you to buy a more expensive vehicle.they called me one day before to confirm they still have the vehicle in stock. When I was there they said the car was sold .... they will not care about you ... I drove faaar away very far away just to find out that this was scam from some people who does not care how long you been driving to their shop or if you took a day off to see the car .... so bad we have people like that in this world ...

Worst car sales experience ever! Saw certified car online. Sent an email through the site, left a telephone message. Reply came in email form from manager, certified pre-owned "...when would you like to come in for a test-drive". I replied and said the next day. I got 3 additional emails prior to 1.5 hr drive up to the dealership, plus two new emails from two different sales persons and even a phone call asking when I would be in "...we will have the car ready for the test-drive". I finally got there and as I walked into a filthy dealership, I received another email saying "....the car had been sold the prior week." Now wouldn't you think the manager of certified pre-owned vehicles and two salespersons would have known the car that I was interested in had already been sold? Sleazy sales tactics. I even continued to receive emails and telephone calls from the sales persons for days after I'd visited the dealership. I walked in and walked out. What a rip-off place!

I recently purchased a vehicle advertised on the website. The quality of the information, pictures and descriptives, and subsequently the personal discussions with Gavin Luckens were all top notch. The actual process of purchasing the car was by far one of the easiest and most straight forward experiences to date. I was extremely pleased with the purchase, the delivery, and the after the sale followup and continued contact. I would recommend highly.

The bad: I bought a 08 Lexus is250 there last month and the sales guy, Reuvin, told me the car will be ready in a few days because they were going to replace the rear brakes. After driving the car home I realized the pads on the rear brakes were completely worn and wasn't replaced. I ended up replacing both the rear rotors and brakes myself (which only costed me less than $100 to fix) because I don't have the time to travel back and forth to Watertown due to work. I don't know who's job it was to communicate this with the techs but Reuvin should've communicated with them on this. He lacks experience, personality and seemed kind of lost. The good:Working with the finance manager, Chris Trombino, was the better experience. He gave me a great deal on my interest rate and I'm happy about that.Overall:I've bought cars from many dealerships before and this is the only one that really didn't stick to their words. If you're going to tell a customer you're going to fix something then fix it.

We have set up an appointment for a test drive online. Mike met us on time, helped us to accommodate all our needs (we have our 4-years-old son with us). Very informatively described all the options of both models we were going to drive (Tiguan and SportsWagen), let us drive them (we had to take turns with my wife so one of us stayed with our son). Btw, it was raining like hell outside (a thunderstorm in January =).After we made a choice on the model Mike very fast and professionally got all the information including our trade-in and presented us a really good quote. Even after we said that we need to see other cars and not ready to make a deal on that day we were able to negotiate the price even better, without any pressure which you feel most of the time at other dealerships. We were really pleased with our experience at this dealership and would recommend it to everyone looking to buy a VW.

We purchased a Sportwagon from Boston VW, because of Gavin Luckens. Earlier in the day, we had negotiated with another dealer for a Honda, the price was right, but, we wanted to see what VW could do. The minute we arrived at Boston VW, we felt a professionalism that we hadn't felt before. Gavin Luckens, took us in his hands and made this the easiest purchase we've had to date. He didn't waste our time, he was compassionate about his work. He epitomizes VW! Besides loving our Jetta with it's truly European feeling, we will call Gavin for our next purchase. He was that amazing! And since driving off the dealership, any question I have, Gavin is right there guiding us. We've also dealt with the service dept. and the parts dept., both were exceptional. Kind and respectful. Thanks guys, it's a pleasure spending time with you.Annie and Ingrid

I have the distinct pleasure to inform you of the outstanding service we received from Armando Saenz during the past year. He has consistently provided very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service. I am in the USAF and have worked with VW dealers to service our Passat in Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Texas, and Massachusetts. Armando is the best service professional seen to date. His performance has been outstanding and second to none across the nation. Armando greeted me in a warm and friendly manner during every visit and treated me with respect and courtesy. He consistently provided extremely thorough information and then followed through with excellent and prompt communication throughout the day. Armando can explain services performed in laymans terms with integrity. He has earned my complete trust. Armando is a great customer service example for VW America.

I came to Boston Volkswagen in Watertown to purchase a new Golf TDI 4DR manual. I called several dealers in the area prior to contacting Boston VW. I spoke with Gavin Luckens and from the moment we talked it was clear he was someone I could work with. Gavin was straightforward, relaxed and not at all pushy, he listened and he worked with me and the manager to get the car I wanted for a good price. He did not waste my time playing games (what monthly payment I was can afford...). Before I showed up to the dealership he quoted me a price on the new 2013 that was as good as the other dealers quoted me for leftover 2012s with a couple hundred miles on them. He negotiated with his manager to give me more for my trade. Because I preferred a different color than the one they had in stock, he secured me the color I wanted which was in transit on a ship and will be delivered in a few days. The visit with Gavin took about 1h. He gave me as much hands-off time as I needed to examine the car in stock and he was there when I was ready to move on. In my 10+ car buying experiences in the past 6 years, Gavin has been the best. I should also mention that Chris, the finance manager seems to take the same, relaxed and straightforward approach to car buying as Gavin. Chris did not push the extra warranty, paint protection, corrosion protection, gap insurance... or any of the other things that are typically encountered. I think this reflects very well on the dealership as a whole. A great experience.

The 2013 Volkswagen GLI Autobahn is on my very short list of potential cars to buy. I am planning to buy within 4 weeks. On Sunday, January 20, I requested to test drive two GLIs - one manual transmission and one DSG transmission via the Boston VW website (http://www.bostonvw.com/). I requested a 10:00-10:30 AM test drive on Tuesday, January 22. On Monday, January 21 at 9:10AM, I received an email from Gavin telling me that he had both a manual and DSG model of the GLI on the lot that I could test drive at my requested Tuesday morning time. He asked me to confirm the models I wanted to drive and the time. I replied to his email confirming the time and models at 11:09AM. I still have a copy of my email response.I showed up at Boston VW at 9:55AM on Tuesday, January 22 for my 10:00 AM test drive. I was greeted by a friendly salesman (I never got his name). When I told him I had a scheduled test drive with Gavin, he told me that Gavin had just run out for coffee and would be right back. He walked away, then came back asking what I wanted to drive and explained that due to the predicted storm the night before all of the cars had been moved to their warehouse. There were no cars available to test drive on the lot. But Gavin would be right back and to wait for him at his desk. A little after 10:00, the salesman called Gavin and told him that he had a customer waiting for him to do her scheduled test drive. Then he called to have the two GLIs brought to the lot to be test driven. He then again assured me Gavin would be right back.At 10:15, I told the salesman that I wasn't going to wait any longer. I understood the cars were been moved to the warehouse for the storm and I would have waited a little longer for them to be brought from the warehouse. However, the fact that Gavin didn't have the courtesy to show up for my appointment on time, or immediately come back from getting coffee when he had been told I was there, showed he didn't value my potential business. The salesman, who had been friendly up to this point, told me that it was my fault - Gavin had told him on the phone that I was supposed to confirm the appointment and he wasn't there because I hadn't confirmed the appointment. I told him that I had replied to Gavin's email confirming the date, time, and models within a couple of hours of receiving his email. I have the sent message. I would be buying a car elsewhere. The salesman then said, "Yeh. Got it. And where else do you think you'll be able to shop?" I replied with the names of three other VW dealers in the area. He picked up his phone and called whoever to cancel bringing the GLIs I wanted to drive to the lot.I did think that it was totally reasonable that the cars were put in the warehouse for the forecasted storm. I was frustrated because I had scheduled a test drive and no effort had been made to reschedule due to the questionable forecast. To make it more frustrating, the storm didn't occur and although Boston VW opens at 9:00AM, the cars were still not on the lot when I arrived at 10:00. That proverbial final straw was when Gavin never showed up and the other salesman blamed me for both Gavin's absence and the cars not being on the lot. After reading other poor reviews here, I was hesitant to even schedule a test drive with Boston VW. But it's on my way to work making it very convenient. Now I wish I hadn't bothered. At least I only wasted my time and not my money.

I'm usually never excited to buy a car. I know that sounds strange, but it's because of the money and paperwork involved. It always becomes a huge hassle and in the end, I feel like I've been taken for a ride. Boston VW in Watertown made my experience so simple. Their customer service is superb. In fact, David Diblasi reached out to me a month before my lease was up, then walked me through the process, getting me the lowest payment I have ever had on a car. They took care of all the paperwork, including sending a runner all the way to Vermont to help me out with my registration. I would highly recommend this dealership, and in particular, David Diblasi!

I just bought a car from Boston VW from a salesman named Mike Petersante. He was wonderful throughout the whole process. He gave me a rgeat deal and dealt with me honestly and professionally. There were some minor snafus with the registration paperwork but no big deal.

Very accommodating with service schedule and considerate of time if you choose to wait. They explain the work needed before and after and give me a price quote before if needed. My car comes back spotless. Wifi in waiting room. Haven't dealt with this dealer for sales before only service. I choose Boston over a closer dealer because they are so good.

Live in LA and had to have our insurance company provide Massachusetts insurance which necessitated starting the process over a six week period because my daughter and son did not return to Boston college until end of August. Charles Benitez was among the best GM/EVPs I have ever dealt with together with his associates: Chris, Jose, Tony and Stavros. Have extensive experience with buying cars and am a knowledgeable and precise buyer who values pros...this group has it down cold. Honest and responsive to our needs paved the way for a seamless transaction for our new 2012 Passat. Went beyond the extra mile in numerous ways. Would not hesitate to recommend this group...most impressive.

We have got our certified pre-owned 09 Jetta in April 2012. Staff members were very friendly and worked with us in order to help us to get the car of our choice within the appropriate price limit. They found the way to give as an ok amount towards our old vehicle we were putting down and worked hard to get the financing with the lowest possible interest rate. I would characterize the purchase experience as fast, smooth and overall positive.

Have been going to Boston VW for new/used cars and service fro nearly 30 years. Have seen many changes, and current location is undergoing renovation, but have always felt valued as a customer. With this timespan family exposure, sure, everything hasn't always been roses, but these guys collectively try hard to "get it right". That's what matters to me.

Just purchased a new Jetta here from Hamil, and I can't sing his praises enough. This was my first lease, but after Hamil fully explained the process , and my options, I felt completely at ease. I tried thinking of something not-so-good to say about my experience so I wouldn't sound like a cheerleader , lol, but I can't ! Just thought everyone should know.

I had been shopping around for a Volkswagen ( Golf ) and had been to a few other dealerships ( looking for deals at large suburban dealerships ). One of them was so full of bait and switch that my wife and I had to leave in the middle of the negotiation ( was that bad ). Plus, this was for a new car. After some abhorrent experiences, I noticed Boston VW right in my backyard ( not literally, but close :-). We spoke with Gavin, and he was very polite and informative. Ultimately, I chose the 1 year old Rabbit , which I still drive and love ( almost two years since ). Basically, the guys here are honest and stand by there quotes. Plus, I understood that they needed to make a living but they also understood that I needed to get a fair price on a very good car. When it comes time for my next purchase ( my wife likes Subarus, I love VW ) I will definitely be giving Boston VW in Watertown MA my business ( maybe my wife will convert )! BTW, Gavin is very straightforward, no b.s. and also the management will stand behind the deal-and their vehicle service and parts is great too.Jehan

We agreed on a price by email (best lease offer of the 3 dealerships I checked out). Went there on a Thursday night to sign everything, and picked up the car on Friday night. Couldn't have been easier.

I have needed a lot of repairs on my Golf ever since moving to Boston 3 years ago. I thought often about getting rid of my car due to the amount of repairs it has needed. When I first moved to Boston, I went to another dealership, but the service reps there were not helpful and tried to sell me services I did not need. Then, I came to Boston VW and have been incredibly impressed by the service department. In particular, Mike Dacruz has been incredible in helping me make informed decisions about my car. He has given me much needed peace of mind when I have been under stress due to repair costs. I can honestly say that Mike's exceptional service and genuine kindness has kept me coming back to Boston VW when my car has problems. I feel good about taking my car to a place where I know they have my best interests in mind and are not simply trying to make money off of me. As a result, I continue to be a loyal customer.

I have been with this Watertown VW branch for apporx 3 years. I am the type of person that typically gets frustrated when dealing with auto repairs.- but not here. Armando has been great and takes his time with me. I always feel comfortable with the services that I receive. The work is completed in a timely manor and accommodations are always met in order to keep me from any inconveniences. I am very pleased with this dealership and would highly recommend VW Watertown to family and friends.

I came in with a lease that was expiring and not 100% sure what to do. Hamil was very patient with me over the phone and in person with my bazillion questions. His patience, thoroughness, and follow through made me feel so confident that I stuck with a VW. He was able to understand what I really needed, and offer upgrades, but NOT push me to getting things that were not important to what i needed in a car. Jose i only worked with briefly with my paperwork, plates, etc...but he went above and beyond to make sure I could get everything done while I was there for the transfer!

I gave Boston VW high ratings because the experience was fantastic. I am not a person who is interested in haggling and all that, and I didn't even feel like I had to here. Mike was friendly as soon as we walked in, and Chris did a great job helping me finance the vehicle. I feel very safe in my pre-owned Jetta, and can't thank Boston VW enough for a great car!

Martin Lugo is an extremely competent salesman. He is knowledgeable of his product and able to answer the many questions we asked him. He is professional, made time for us during his very busy schedule, accommodated our schedules, and is friendly and a pleasure to deal with. He worked very hard to make buying and adjusting to a new car a less stressful, and even enjoyable experience.Jose Feliciano, in charge of some of the paperwork regarding the transaction, was also very professional and friendly. Both salesmen stayed late to close the deal.

I had a great experience with Boston Volkwagen when needing to purchase a car with only a short period of time to work with. I new what I wanted and the price that I was looking to spend, and Gavin was very accomodating and worked with me very carefully to ensure that I would be satisfied with the end result. I would definitely recommend Boston Volkwagen, especially Gavin, to anyone looking to purchase a new or used Volkswagen. They have great service, and more importantly, prices!

Our experience with Boston VW was great and Paul and Jose, the finance manager, were super to work with. Paul and Jose as well as the Manager went out of their way to assist us in purchasing our 2012 4-door 2.5L Golf. We came to Boston VW after having an absolutely horrible experience at another dealership, trying to sell us a car we did not want. We walked out. So we were a little hesitant in going to Boston VW. We test drove the Golf in January 2012 and were not ready to buy at that time. But we told Paul we would be back. And so we did, two months later. At the time, we thought we were going to purchase the TDI model, but then realised it was a bit above what we wanted to spend. That's when Paul and team went into action and worked their magic with the price and the financing. The price was fantastic and the interest rate came in much lower than we anticipated. Best of all, their was no pressure, just answering our questions and giving us options Boston VW also has an excellent range of vehicles. Thank you Paul and everyone at Boston VW!! We will back soon to buy that second car that we talked about!

I feel very fortunate to have worked with Robert Ferrand during my purchase of a new VW Touareg. Throughout the process, Robert treated me and my family with respect and fairness, and made a clear and succesful effort to exceed our expectations. Ultimately, Robert found us exactly the vehicle we wanted for a very fair price. I would not hesitate to work with him on my next purchase, and recommend him to friends/family.

The morning after someone hit our car, we dropped it off at the body shop and were told it would be 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how responsive the insurance company was. We already knew the insurance estimate would be low and Dan said that VW would take care of all of the back and forth with the insurance. I was glad to have a dealer involved with that voice of authority. What I really appreciated about the experience was the handful of interactions with Dan: he was patient, clear, open to questions, and willing to talk until I had it all clear regarding insurance, loaner car (and how to have insurance cover the cost), timing, etc. In the end, it was ready on Friday and Dan tracked us down -- called all the numbers he had for us until we answered -- so that we could have our car for the weekend. And OH, the car was CLEANED during it's stay there.

We bought a new 2012 Volkswagon Jetta Sports Wagon. Rob, our salesperson, was great! He was friendly, answered our questions and there was no pressure from him about buying the car. I feel we got a good trade-in value for our old car and a good price for our new one. The only trouble we had was trying to get the exterior color we wanted but are happy with what they had in stock. Rob also took the time to go through all the interior features with the car and helped getting our cell phone linked up with the car's bluetooth feature. I would recommend using Rob as your salesman at Boston VW.

i purchased a new Passat. They did not have my color/options of the car on the lot so they seached other dealerships and located one. It arrived two days later and the third day I picked it up. I had my own financing with my bank so I just shopped for price . No heavy pressure to buy/finance.

We were approaching the end of a Jetta Lease and went in to have our lease bought out and get into another car. By the time we left I actually thought I was on a hidden camera show and John Quinones (What would you do) was going to come walking out. First we met with a very nice salesman. He showed us the car we were looking for and even promised to throw in a NAV system for free. "Great!" As we were sitting at his desk with him, the service (manager?) stormed over and berated him for something. Screaming, he said "I hate this f'ing place, I hate the f'ing people....etc. All of this within one foot of my wife and I. My wife was appauled but I decided to ride it out to get the "great deal." It was late so we made an appointment to return the next day to have our turn in car appraised and go over numbers. We called the next day to see if we could come in earlier and were told by our salesman (who we liked) that he could no longer work with us because I had clicked on a "get quote" button on the website and now must work with the internet salesman (who actually emailed me a written quote with a good monthly payment). We complained and after two more calls were told it was ok to work with our guy. We went back in and were just starting to work out numbers when the conversation was taken over by the business manager who laughed at the "thrown in NAV" that we were promised and also basically discarded the emailed quote and then came back with a ridiculously high monthly payment. He basically scolded the salesman (in front of us) for even making the offer and then proceeded to explain why we had no idea how this works (in detail). We had enough and stood up and laid out how "nuts" this place was and left. From there went to Colonial in Medford. Night and day difference in professionalism. They treated us respectfully and were very helpful. The number was better but we tried Quirk in Braintree (also a great buying experience) and left a few hours later in the exact car we wanted (with he NAV) for less than I was paying on my turn in lease. I wanted to drive back to Watertown and hang my a$$ out the window of the beautiful new car in front of their showroom, but my wife's classiness prevented it. I would not buy a candy bar from the Boston VW vending machine. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!September 22, 2011

Chris Trombino is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in the car business. I had negotiated the terms of the car price and the financing terms over email. Because Chris and Gavin had a miscommunication about the interest rate that was quoted, Chris had a MELTDOWN of epic proportions. Problem was, he had this argument with Gavin and the ensuing meltdown in front of his customers. Initially Gavin tried to take the stance that they wouldn't have a reason to withhold a lower rate from us. For anyone not familiar with the financing peice of buying a vehicle, the higher the rate the dealership can give to the client the more of a kick-back/rebate the finance manager and the dealership receive back from the bank they put the loan with. After a heated exchange, Chris conceded the lower rate only to BERATE my girlfriend and I for the next 20 minutes while he put together the paperwork. He accused me of mistreating them even though I had almost no interaction with them outside of the even-keeled, straightforward emails that I mentioned. At one point he suggested that he might "mess up" the paperwork "accidentally", I guess as a way to get the last laugh. At one point I thought we were getting Punk'd because I have never encountered someone so emotionally unstable not just in a business environment but in general. I figured he was an established actor hired by one of my friends to mess with us... We were subjected to this for close to 20 minutes before we were finally allowed to leave with a car that was priced right but with memories that will scar our psyche for a long time to come...

Jose was an excellent salesperson to work with. He was very helpful and patient with me and not pushy at all. I wanted a black on black Jetta and they didn't have any available anywhere in the state. Jose managed to find one in a different state and work something out so that I could get what I wanted. He also continues to follow-up and check in with me to see how the car is running. I would recommend Boston VW and Jose to anyone interested in purchasing a VW.

I just yesterday picked up my newly purchashed 2011 Tiguan from Boston Volkswagen. A few months before the purchase, I went in just to look, and was met by Jose. At that time I told Jose that I was interested in the Tiguan but was not ready to buy at that time.....it would be a couple of months before I was ready to purchase. Jose was extremely polite and helpful answering all of my questions about the car without the usual sales pitches. Jose showed me the Tiguan, politely pointing out all of the basic features of the car and basically left me alone to survey the car at my leisure.....zero pressure. When I returned a couple of months later to make the purchase, he was just as friendly and professional as my 1st visit. Prior to my purchase of the Tiguan, I did do my research with regard to purchase prices as well as trade in pricing for my previous vehicle. Much to my amazement, we were able to close the deal in about 5 minutes of discussion..I got everything I was hoping to get (purchase price, trade in etc).......I was very happy!!!!.......Far different from the experience I went through the week before at a local Audi dealership in purchasing a new A4 for my wife......the difference was night and day. When I picked up the Tiguan, Jose sat with me and spent his time teaching me the things about the car, the navigation system, radio, hands free telephone etc.... He showed no interest in anything else but making sure I understood what I needed to know before driving off with my new purchase. I am very very happy with his preformance in seeing that I got what I wanted at a price I was happy with. The same goes for Chris in the finance department.....great guy....friendly....got the interest rate I wanted...what more can be said.If you want to by a new Volkswagen, see Jose at Boston Volkswagen....I am happy to refer him to anyone.

I went to Boston VW just to test drive the 2011 Jetta SportWagen, and I was thoroughly impressed with the ride of the car. And then I bought it. Coming from a BMW convertible, I had my doubts, but I was very impressed. I met Jose months prior to this visit, because I was curious about the Golf TDI. I remember how nice he was when I first met him. He showed me many different features and even took me out to the lot to see how the car's driver's seat felt for me. I ended up passing on the Golf TDI. That was November or December of 2009. Fast forward to March 2011, I'm in the market for a station wagon (my favorite kind of car), and I meet Jose again at Boston VW. He was happy to show me a red SportWagen that I saw in their website's inventory and apparently arrived only 10 days prior to my visit. He gladly got the car for me from wherever it was in inventory (I forget if it was in the second lot), and got it ready for me to test drive. The test drive went very well. Jose talked about random fun things while telling me where to go to experience the features of the car's ride and steering. I also asked about certain features and he was happy to accommodate my requests (e.g. turning onto a side street to test the turning radius). After we got in, he asked if I'd like to find out the trade value of my car or just come in another time. I felt no pressure from him at all. I didn't expect to talk numbers the same day I test drove this car, but I did. (The ride really is that amazing.) Jose is the most straightforward car salesman I've ever met. He went to KBB.com on his computer, and we looked up my car's trade value together. Then he checked with his business manager and gave me a pretty fair trade value (on par with what I was quoted at other dealerships). THEN he took out a receipt that showed the MSRP and the invoice of the car I was looking at, and we discussed the pricing from invoice just like that. I have never seen a salesman be that honest and straightforward. He was no pressure at all. At every turn he always asked if I had question or if I wanted to come back another time.I ended up buying the car that day, because I was so satisfied: the car felt great, Jose's manner and honesty and straightforwardness were amazing, and I couldn't say no to an amazing deal. Jose is extremely knowledgeable about VW cars. He is a friendly and polite and accommodating salesman. He answered all of my questions, and even after I bought the car, he always made sure that I was satisfied and happy with the car. I was honestly concerned about how my experience might be at Boston VW, just because many other dealerrater.com reviews were negative. I'm not sure what went wrong for those other people, because I've never had such a positive, straightforward, no-brainer, and honestly kinda fun, car buying experience. After all of that, I felt compelled to write a good review so people could know.I have a very limited experience with the service department, but it was great: the day I picked up the car, the registration and inspection weren't ready, so Jose said just come back tomorrow night. I emailed him that night and asked if noon would be OK. He got back to me at 11:30 the next day and told me the registration was ready. I brought my new car into the service bay and left the key with Jose. He got service to do the inspection. Service looked busy that day (the lounge had 4-5 people, the parking spots inside were all full once I got in). I waited around for maybe 15-20 minutes, and Jose came by to check on me. He said he'd get the car going right away. I think maybe 5, 10 minutes max passed, and he came back and had the car ready.I'm looking forward to getting my car serviced at this dealership; if the service department is as good as the sales department, this place might as well be golden. I do hope the WiFi lounge will be working. (My iPhone didn't detect any WiFi when I looked.)Other notes: Chris, finance guy, really nice, really straightforward. Mike, another sales guy, really nice to talk with. I had met him years prior when deciding between a BMW and VW convertible. He took the time to show me everything he knew about the VW convertible. I forget the manager's name I met, but he was nice too.If you're looking to buy a new VW, I highly recommend going to Boston VW and meeting with Jose.

The service is the worse one could expect from a car dealer.I arrived there after making an appointment (web offer) with Hamil, who never showed up. After waiting for about 30 mins, Gavin was nice enough to come help us. At the time I was supposed to sign the papers, the guy in charge of financing showed up 40 min late and barely apologized. Also, he was so deeply concentrated that he even yawned in the middle of the conversation... Overall, if you want to deal with them, ask Gavin. He'll be able to answer to your questions.

Jose and the team at Boston VW have become the dealer of choice for my family. We have purchased 2 cars from them and my extended family has leased additional cars. The experience is not your typical dealer experience. Instead of feeling pressured to buy that day, Jose always makes sure that he helps us find the right car for our needs. They work with us to meet our budget, and are transparent about the costs. Financing with them has also been a breeze. The last car I purchased from them was located for me at another dealer and dropped off at my work during a snow storm! I couldn't ask for more. My enthusiasm for this sales team has meant I have referred friends and family to them before and will do so again in the future.

I brought my 98 Passat in for service, when they told me the problem was in the engine. With 166,000 miles they recommended me not putting the money into the car. I asked if they would give me anything for the car if I was looking to trade it in. Matt and Vinny worked together to give me a great deal for my old Passat and I found an 08 Jetta to trade it in for. Chris worked with me on a great Interest rate for my loan which I am very satisfied with. I am a 23 year old girl getting a car from a dealership for the first time, I couldn't have felt more at ease with these guys. They explained everything in depth and made sure I understood and felt comfortable with all the numbers. I highly recommend going through Boston VW!

My dad stopped by here on a Friday night and was told he had to leave a $500 refundable deposit for them to even show him cars. Thank GOD he did this on a credit card...The next day, my dad was pretty much ready to buy so he wanted me to tag along so he didn't get ripped off. First of all, they didn't have the car he wanted there and would have had to do a dealer swap. The price was good but my dad also had a printout of the offer he got through Costco Auto from Atamian VW. The offer was about $500 less than what Gavin at Boston VW was willing to sell for and he was trying to convince us that this was bait and switch from Atamiam. Nonetheless, my dad didn't quite have the financing ready with his bank and we decided that we weren't ready to buy that day. I asked Gavin for the "out-the-door" price which should include the price for the car, taxes and all fees. His response was to get us in a room with their financing guy who had worked up the sales papers. I quickly noted down the final price to the dismay of the financing guy and he shoved the paper in front of my dad with a pen. When I asked why he had to sign, the guy says in the most condescending tone, "Cause he's buying a car." I proceeded to explain to him why it made no sense for my dad to sign anything that day while constantly being talked down to by the most pushy human being I've ever sat in front of.They did NOT want us walking out that door without committing to buying a car. The next day we went to Atamian VW and, even though they also didn't have the exact car my dad wanted, their quoted price was very much real. Bill even matched the financing my dad would have gotten with his bank!! We signed the papers right then and 3 days later my dad was driving off the lot with a brand new Jetta Sportwagen TDI for an amazing price.Gavin from Boston VW called on Monday to try and get my dad back in but my dad told him he found a significantly better deal elsewhere. Gavin got real nasty with him on the phone and refused to refund the deposit. We had to go through American Express to get the refundable deposit back!!Boston VW is the worst of the worst. Atamain VW is the best of the best.

Matt was great and so was the rest of the VW team. I love my new VW Eos and it was a simple painless process. I recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a car! I used to have a Saab and I am so happy I traded it in for the Eos. Matt was very knowledgeable and was able to sell me the car within an hours time. Already have it registered and on the road within just a few days! I love VW Boston!

I had arranged to pick up my car at 4pm. It wasn't ready, but nobody told me so. There were four "service consultants" staring at their screens and not informing me how long to wait, where to wait, or even an apology; just "it's not ready". I had to go find a place on my own. The car was ready at 5.15. Still no apology. They charged $490 just for the labor, to change a battery, to change lugnuts for two wheels and for an 80K miles service. And then they left a container with highly toxic fuel additive on my passenger seat. Every time I have been to this dealership I have come away feeling humiliated and stupid.

I brought in my Jetta in to have the brakes/rotors replaced, and they did a great job. I paid price I expected for all four brake pads and rotors. Also, I brought the car over in the morning, and they were finished the same day. I hope i'll never come back, but if something wrong with my car i'll def. come back to the same place.

Three weeks ago we bought Volkswagen CC from this dealership. Me and my wife was very nervous about whole process because it is our first time purchase of luxury car. We took test drive twice and vehicle totally amazed us. Our friends warned that well get almost nothing for our old Jeep since most dealers dont like to take SUVs. However, we got little bit more than we expected. Customer service was good, however it took a lot of time on paper work. It was a little problem when several banks didnt want to approve us for credit but I don't think that we should blame sales guy who was helping us. Overall we are very happy with the choice we made.

I usually don't write reviews, but felt it was need for this dealership. I recently tried purchasing a car at VW Boston. I called and inquired about the vehicles they had on their lot before visiting. The salesman fumbled with his own filekeeping system and kept me on the line waiting for 20 minutes before telling me he did not have what I was looking for. He said a similar car was coming in and I could visit that weekend to see it. We scheduled an appointment. The morning of the appointment he called and cancelled saying the car was not there and he had no other car to show me. He offered to bring the car I wanted to see in again. We rescheduled. He called me and told me that the car I wanted was in, and I should make my way there quickly. I did, but when I arrived I saw it was not the car i requested at all (diff color, features, etc). He then insisted we sit and talk numbers for a car I hadn't even seen! He REFUSED to bring the car I asked to see in unless I paid a significant deposit and would COMMIT TO BUY A CAR I NEVER SAW, or one similar for that matter! He then proposed a deal and was quite rude throughout the process. When I asked if he would negotiate with me on anything he refused! He ended up keeping me there for about 2 hours, never showed me a single car or made any effort to SELL me anything. It was "just take it or leave it I don't need or want your sale."I was hoping to make this an easy sell for the dealership. I knew what I wanted, and I did my homework prior to buying. I ended up purchasing the car at Colonial VW of Medford dealership and I have to say it was night and day! They are wonderful! I would say if you are in the Boston area go straight there. Great service and respectful (well-deserving of a sale) sales people.

Needed coolant for a Phaeton. Sent my son who is 24 and very smart and has owned a few cars. Was told they only stock the gallon size rather than the quart or pint. Had to pay $67 for the gallon rather than a much lower price. BEWARE!! the reviews are accurate. Scam artists having a monopoly in Boston.

My Jetta is a decent little car, but I'd never even consider another VW because these guys have a lock on the Boston market. Why did I have to point out to the service guy that the several hundred dollar charge was still covered by the warranty? Other dealers will go out of their way to help you get things covered. These guys were at best unhelpful, and at worst trying to get paid twice. I've had many other experiences that ranged from unpleasant to expensive. I've never enjoyed going there, or being there.Oh and if you don't visit for a year they delete you from the system, and it's like you're a new customer - fill out all the info, and no history. What the heck were they thinking with that?

This dealership is a complete chop shop!!!! These guys have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Brought a GTI in because of a sound coming from the undercarriage of the car. The car was diagnosed as having transmission issue. First they tried to rebuild the existing transmission which did not get rid of the problem. So they then ordered a new transmission from Volkswagen and installed it. I was given the car back with a clean bill of health. The next morning I started the car and it would not go into drive. There was also a new mechanical noise coming from the gear box. The endercarriage noise I originally brought the car in for was also still there. Brought it back to Boston VW and they blamed all the problems on the new transmission being defective. They replaced the "new" defective transmission and put another new transmission in. This time I got the car back and it was slipping when the car went from 1st to second (it would kick into gear). The undercarriage noise I originally brought the car in for was also syill there. So after all of this not only did Boston VW not fix my original problem but they created a new and probably much more serious one. I am still trying to get this resolved as we speak. The managers are complete morons and the service people are uninformed. The workmanship is obviously suspect. this dealership sucks. Stay away.

I leased a car from these guys, and the salespeople were awful. However, the service people are friendly, helpful and sensitive to cost issues. I now own a Passat I bought at Bernardi (no longer sells VW, I don't believe) but I use Boston for service since it's convenient to my work. They've done me favors (like stopping the doors from auto-locking - which I hated - at no charge) and always check to see if there are any recalls or other information I should be aware of. However, in concurrence with other reviewers, I don't think I'd ever buy a car from these guys. Service only.

I have taken my VW's in to this dealer a half dozen times or more over the last 4 years and have had poor experiences over and over again to the point where I will never go back to them for anything. I tried to give them a second and third chance even though my inlaws have told me for a long time that they've had some horrible experiences there with their Touraeg. Most recently I took my 2003 Golf in for a 30K checkup and oil change. A day or two after I got the car home an engine light came on. I lifted the hood and noticed that the coolant filler cap had never been screwed onto the overflow reservoir, so all the coolant had boiled out of the coolant system, I nearly ran my car out of coolant! This is just the tip of the iceberg. Another occasion I brought my 2000 Jetta in to have the airbag light shut off/reset. They told me it would be $100 just to diagnose it, and another $100 to reset the light. Give me a break. So, reluctantly I paid the bill, and then at pick up (almost a week later than the car was originally promised to me), I picked up the car. They told me at the desk "well the mechanic reconnected the wiring harness to try and reset the airbag light so it may fix it and it may come on again, we don't know." This is what I get for $200? I stepped into the car and guess what, the airbag light is still on bright as day! I stormed back in to the desk and they said "Well if the light is on still, then you need a new airbag." What a waste of my time, did they do anything at all to try and fix it first, who knows! Another occasion I told them "your manager promised me a free oil change this visit due to my last bad experience". their response at the counter was "Well sir I don't see any record of that, you'll have to call him and talk to him he is not here today." Me talk to him? Why don't you go into his office and tell him the problem, and in the mean time give your customer the benefit of the doubt. Of course the next day I called the manager and he said "No sir, the comments were right in your history I don't know why they didn't see the notes for your free oil change, it's all right here." Unreal. The mechanics (at least a few of them, maybe not "all" of them) but at least some of them are completely incompetent and you can not trust what you are being billed for is actually being done on your vehicle. The people who work at the service department counter are clueless and really have no idea what they are talking about or what may or may not have actually been done to your car. One time for my Jetta's 70K checkup I asked them "so what exactly did you do on this service for $400? and they really didn't answer my question at all, they just looked blankly at the work order and couldn't run off all the details of what I just paid for. I will never bring my VW's to them ever again, nor will I trade anything in or buy from them no matter what. I will drive to Brookline, Wellesley, or Burlington instead and give these other dealers a chance for my business.

Ran across this site and thought - hey, I wonder how the folks I just dealt with are ranked. Since I just bought a car, and had need of service, I shopped around and ended with Boston VW where my experience was top notch. Did they try to get the best price? Of course. But when I presented them with what I knew, what I was looking for, etc. they responded with what I considered to be a great deal. And when I had a problem shortly after driving off - they jumped on it - gave me a loaner - and fixed the issue completely. All the while, apologizing and ensuring me they'd right any wrong. Yes, I bought a new model but I don't know why I'd have received a different level of service than anyone else. Also, when I was waiting to pick up my car, I chatted with another guy who was as happy as I. In short, everyone there seemed extremely pleasant and all the customers looked very happy. I gotta think its only the rare exceptions with a gripe who hit this site and I say that's too bad and unrepresentive. Boston VW has earned my business for as long as I'm in town. And no - I don't know a sole there!

I called the parts department to get a quote on a part that I needed. I was told that there were plenty of the part in stock and that it would cost $26. I went in the next morning to pick up the part and was told that they did not have any in stock and that it would cost $248.95. I told them what I had been quoted the day before and the guy just stood there for a bit, and said no that $248.95 is the correct amount. I called another VW dealership later that day and was told that it would be $34.Interesting fluctuation in pricing by the Boston VW dealership.

Brought a Used Passat wagon with 40,000 miles, 10,000 left on the warranty. One month after purchase, I noticed The windshield fluid was leaking, and one door lock was not working, so I brought it into warranty service. The service person at my local VW dealer told me that a whole was sawed out oif the wheel housing, for some unknown reason, and that the fliud leak would not be covered under warranty because of this, it was assumed that a rock had gone throught the housing and caused the damage.Since I had the car one month, I felt I was sold a deffective car, and the dealer should help in some way this matter.Although Kyle appeared to be friendly, and said he would do what he could for any problems at the sale (We want you to be happy!), his attitude changed dramatically whan asked to help. He was saying things like "How do I know what happed to the car". It was he was accusing me of sawing a hole in my own car! And It's a "Used car", you should expect problems. (For what it is worth, I know used cars, I have a Subaru with 200,000 miles, still running, that I purchased with over 100,000 miles with less problems than than this VW Passat) Anyhow, from my experience, you can expect no help, unfriendly communications and a really bad feeling from Boston VW and Kyle.Remember, if you buy from these guys, and somehting goes wrong, their attitide is it's your fault.

I don't think I ever had a good experience when I brought a car in for service, so this place does not necessarily stand out, but I still wanted to share my experience.<br>I bought my 98 Golf GL used from the owner in 2000. The car had originally been purchased from Boston VW. I had been dealing with the check engine light coming on for a while when I decided to have it fixed in May 2004. I was told that the car needed some new vacuum hoses, an engine breather valve and potentially a new throttle body housing, approx. $800 worth of parts and labor. I got away without the new throttle body housing, still paid around $400 and the check engine light was on again on the way home. They said they had cleaned the throttle body.<br>Now, 3 month later with the check engine light still on the car failed the emission test and I took things in my own hands. I cleaned the throttle body myself (it did not look like anybody had touched it recently), a 10 minute job with a $2.50 throttle body cleaner spray from the store and my old toothbrush, reset the computer and voila, the check engine light is off.<br>The customer service staff did not deal well with my complaints. In some places they weasel themselves out of a sticky situation by becoming overly friendly and accomodating. Here they just became aggressive, interrupted me while I was explaining etc. I will not return, even if I have to drive twice as far for service.
