We purchased a 2000 Toyota 4Runner in October of 2020. We had to finance the vehicle. In March the 4Runner's transmission went out. We had put less than 5000 miles on it and had it less than 6 months. We did purchase it as is and we understand the risk involved. Buchanan's had zero empathy for us and said there's nothing they can do. This is the way all car dealers are except for a very good few. Be very careful about buying a used car period but be even more careful about dealing with car dealers. This transmission had prior problems and had been worked on recently according to Gambrel Toyota in Corbin, KY.

They have some very nice vehicles on their lot. Just make sure as with any used car that you get it checked out prior to purchasing by a qualified mechanic. Their vehicles are sold as is and since most are high-end German cars repairs are very expensive. I have purchased a BMW X3 from this dealer and have had several repairs after purchase in only a few months.

The head guy had my husband wash 20 cars and they agreed that $5 a car was fine BUT when my husband got done washing the cars the man gave him a check for $45. So the guy only paid him $2.25 a car instead of the agreed amount of $5 a car (which totals out to $100). Frankly $100 is very cheap to wash 20 cars. That man is a CROOK.

Nothing but problems. Electrical shorts, sunroof leak. It’s been in the shop 4 times since purchase 6 months ago. Do not recommend!

My experience with Buchanan's Auto is the best car buying experience I have ever had. There was no pressure, they gave me what my trade-in was worth and had the vehicle I wanted at the right price. David Billington was the salesman I worked with and there was no pressure, no gimmicks and no games. He was fantastic to work with and I really appreciated that because I can't say that about all used car salesmen I have dealt with in the past. The 2004 Ford F-150 I purchased needed some repairs and Buchanan's went beyond the call of duty to take care of it. Buchanan's has a customer for life as they are the only company I want to do business with in the future because of the way they handled things with my first purchase there. I recommend buying a vehicle at Buchanan's without reservation.
