Brandon Zehr does a fantastic job of internet sales. He was extremely knowledgeable about Kia products and so was very helpful in finding the right model. The website is very helpful in finding a model with the right equipment at either Capitol Kia or Round Rock Kia.

I didn't actually buy a car, but I did go to apply for one. Got turned down for not having enough income. Though the people we were talking with were so friendly and knowledgeable. Theu gave us all the options in a specific range we were looking for. And over all applying was quick and painless. I'd recommend anyone to come here for a KIA.

Not sure what to say because my problem is not quite finished stay tuned feel uncomfortable saying more I don't have the needed trust that all paperwork was done properly and the communication to me has been unclear. At the time I felt pressured to buy a car even after saying I was exhausted and I needed to think. I was there almost 5 hours. By the time I test drove three vehicles I couldn't think clearly and the car I bought did not have the features that the VIP rep told me it did. I didnt' realize that until I got home and checked car the next day. I was rushed out without the proper help with setting up all the complicated features on the new soul exclaim, Six weeks later I am still trying to set everything up.

I was in a minor accident but hidden damage caused my car to become inoperable. Evan at Capitol Kia worked with us to find the perfect car for our budget and turned a trauma into a positive. I love my new Kia Rio! Thank you for the rescue and getting us into a new car so quickly. Capitol Kia is awesome!

On the 16 of last month I purchased a 2001 corvette from Capitol Kia. or who I call Cheat and deceit Kia. They advertised the vehicle at almost 16000. but when I called they said that it needed some work and that would be included in the price. I said ok and it turned out to be 3000 more then advertised price but I wanted a vett and said ok so we financed the deal Through Wells Fargo Dealer services on that day. They salesman Matthew Howell said it would be a couple days and I could get it. I told him I didn't want to be kept in the dark and to call me on the status of MY car. They took it to the Chevy dealer and it sat there for I believe 2 weeks although I was never kept in the loop They didn't call me to this day. I did get a 5 day no questions ask money back option So at the 2.5 week delay i backed out of the deal. They refunded my down payment but not Wells Fargo 19999 Payment making it impossable for me to purchase another Vehicle from a more reputable dealerWhen I call Cheat and Deceit they either have a full mailbox or some other excuse as to not take my call. It has been 9 days since I cancelled the deal and Still no reply or action from this Dealer I would strongly suggest that you find another dealer to deal with because this one does not know the meaning of honesty. PS I have found two more corvettes that I wanted but couldn't purchase them because of then not returning the purchase price to the Wells Fargo Dealer services.

I purchased a 2014 Kia Cadenza pre-certified vehicle from Evan Kelley from this location on November 9, 2015. As I was purchasing this vehicle, there were some details that needed to get done before I took the car. They said they would get them fixed. The next day, I went to the dealership and they told me that they had not began to do things to the car because they were concerned about a negative balance I had on my trade in. Yes I traded my 2014 Toyota Camry for a Kia thinking I was making the right choice. Anyway, when I went to speak to Evan he said that he was worried my bank would not finance the vehicle because of the negative equity. The bank had already approved me for the amount of the purchase including the negative balance. So during my purchase, they had me wait so they could do my paperwork for about 3 hours. I did not take the car. I told them that once they completed minor things they were working on I would pick up my car. A week after the purchase I took possession of the vehicle. Since the beginning, I had been having problems with the key FOB falling off the key. Because of the holidays and work schedule, I had not been able to take the key to get checked. While at work, the key FOB fell off the key and I did not realize when and were it fell until I was about to leave home for the day. I contacted the dealership and told them the situation to see if they could replace the key FOB since, I believe there was an issue with it since it was falling off constantly. I called the dealership and could not get ahold of someone in service. On the 3rd attempt, I finally got thru and spoke to a Gus. I asked if the key was covered under warranty and he said no without checking and that it was 200.00 to replace. Then I asked him to transfer me to Susan and she said that there was nothing she could do because she was finance and called service. Service never called her wo we had to walk to service. This is at 8:00 p.m. and after waiting for an hour to see Susan. Then we spoke to a Chris in service who was helpful and tried to help. He said that he couldn't do anything but that he would speak to some Carlos in the front the next day. I then called and asked Chris if he has spoken to Carlos and he said that Carlos was not in and that I would have to wait again another day and to see what he says. I then waited 2 days and I called Chris. Chris told me that he had spoken to Carlos and that Carlos said I needed to speak to a Chris who is also a manager. Then I called Chris, who as of now I have no idea what his title is and told him the situation and the issues I had been having with the FOB. Chris then asked me if I had spoken to the sales man (Evan) about the issue and I told him that I had not yet because this was an issue that I was told only service could take care of. During our conversation over the phone and without Chris telling me he was putting me on speaker with Evan I told Evan what was going on. Basically, Evan the sales man who sold us the car said I had never told him about the issue and it was not covered under warranty and that was that. After going thru all the managers, including speaking to Jason, the General Manager the night the FOB fell off, and told me that he had no idea what to do and sent me to Carlos. So the sales man ended up making the decision after wasting all my time with this issue. I aint asking for anything more that I felt they could have assisted me. I would understand if I was the one who had lost the keys, then I would understand that I would have to pay for it. But since the beginning, I have had issues with this key and one of my biggest mistakes was not returning the key when having the issues. But because of my schedule. The other mistake is downgrading from Toyota to Kia. And especially from the Capitol Kia location. They are always there when they are trying to sell you the car, but once you have issues, they throw the buck around. No one at this location seems to know what they are doing. This is also a comment that was made by several employees from this location. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service that this location has provided and I will never purchase another Kia or recommend KIA to my family and friends. You have lost my business. Keep in mind that they already got paid for the car since my car was financed thru my bank.

Outstanding service. Jair Torres is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Jair showed me some vehicles of interest and all their features was impressive. I appreciated his friendliness. There becomes a "comfort level" that allows you to feel secure asking questions without feeling misled. Once the vehicle desired was chosen, he was able to help me find what type of financial route I wanted/needed to go. Jair Torres was kind enough to program my phone to my UVO as well as go over other features I would need to be on my way. Overall, the experience was exceptional. I am enjoying my new 2016 Kia Sorento. Thank you, Capitol Kia.

Recently visited to browse for a vehicle, with an open mind, no trade in. I parked on my motorcycle, and quickly a salesman approached, and asked me what brought me in today. He took me inside and offered water, great guy. I took a seat, and review some of their brochures and material for a minute. Then another salesman approached me to find out what I was looking for, and with two car styles in mind, we went out to look at some options. One was a Forte 5 Turbo, and a Soul, both 2015, with a nice rebate. The salesman was Victor, and he reviewed fully the benefits and the comparison traits amongst the two. They were both similarly priced on my budget. Then I asked for a test drive, and we took both for a spin around the ways. It was a key experience in furthering making up my mind in the two choices. We returned to the lot, looked around a few other Souls aside the basic, and test drove some more. Once I felt comfortable I told him I would sleep on it, and so I did. There was no harsh sales tactic or scheme, or pushiness, a very casual and professional showcase of what I had came in to look for. About a week passed and I went back to get a financial plan on the vehicle choice I had made, but after talking to Victor a bit more, I also considered upgrading the basic Soul for the Soul (!) - and I can guarantee it was a smart decision. The vehicle is great, and it comes with a nice package, and it was still certainly within a reasonable budget from the initial conversation. Although some of the financial paperwork took some time, it was clear and straight to the point, so I didn't mind spending time with Victor and the financial manager to make sure everything was in order, and I got what I came in for. I'll be rolling like a hamster down the turn in my new blue Soul ! , and would recommend friends to visit Capitol Kia and ask for Victor who was very helpful and smart in the overall car buying process for a new car owner!

I emailed Capitol Kia a month ago about a used Lincoln MKT available on their lot. I was told the vehicle was no longer for sale. Fine. I received an email three days ago that the vehicle was again available at the same price. I live in Ohio but had to be in Austin for work at the last minute, must be a sign. I emailed them over the weekend that I wanted to talk to them about the car, I called Monday once I landed, talked with Amber who was extremely pleasant (and mentioned the price was even reduced). I setup a meeting for later in the day to look over the car. I received a call in the early afternoon from Amber telling me that the car was "sold" from under her by another salesman to someone out of state who made a $1000 deposit. I asked if I had offered money would I have been ok? Amber stated they normally do not do that because I was in town, first come first served! Well that is not the case at Capitol Kia, Amber went to the sales manager and tried to make a stand and he was not interested in the situation.

I have purchased many vehicles in my time and dealt with some pretty crooked dealers. Completely on my guard when I walked in I noticed a different atmosphere from any dealer I had ever been to. Everyone was very nice, very knowledgable and willing to listen to what I had to say about what I was looking for. The salesperson Brian took his time to help me understand the history and the future of Kia. From the salesperson, sales manager and the business manager no one was high pressure sales crazy. They made it so easy and was very willing to negotiate with out smoke and mirrors. Before you make your final purchase you must at least drop by and see what they have to offer.

Robert Bills of Kia is an excellent salesman. I appreciated his thoroughness and non pushy attitude. He was extremely helpful in looking at the car with all the angles to inquire. rarely do you ever find a salesman who really knows his product and that is helpful to a buyer. He gave me a wider understanding and the value of the cars. I know how good a Kia, is but I didn't know half of the things that Robert was able to help me understand great salesman. Dealership was very willing to work with me. Great experience.

I went into Capital Kia just to simply look around, a young and inexperienced sales guy started harassing me and my boyfriend.. I told him multiple times I wasn't looking for a top of the line kia by any means because of my credit situation. Despite what we had told him he brings me a car way out of my price range. He keeps saying we will make it happen, well he couldn't. So he brings me a much cheaper car. So after wasting over 2 hours of my time they want a Co signer. Which is a bunch of crap considering my credit score is high enough to not need one any where else . Would not recommend this location

My overall experience at this dealership made buying a car fun again. My sales person (Marin) was very friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure a deal could be made on the car of my choice. At no time was she ever pushy, plus she was very knowledgeable about the car and all the features on it. Marcus in the finance department was very helpful and friendly. He went over all the paperwork making sure that I understood everything before signing anything. Wayne in the service department, both friendly and helpful. Made sure anything that I had concerns with about the car (2014 Kia Rio) was taken car of promptly and quickly. The entire dealership staff were very friendly and made it a pleasure doing business with them. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to buy a new car. I can honestly say they will go out of their way to help you in buying a car with no pressure.

I have owned and purchased two new kia's from this dealer and also was with my mom and sister when they purchased their new kia's from this same dealer. I was shopping for a new car in January 2014, intending to trade in my 2011 Kia Forte but the salesman and the manager could not get the numbers where my husband and I wanted them at Capital Kia, so we left feeling somewhat inconvenienced and purchased our new vehicle elsewhere in February. I came back into Capital Kia on 2/4/14 to cancel my extended warranty and gap coverage on the vehicle that I traded in on my new truck- it was a 2011 Kia Forte I purchased new from them in Feb 2011. I filled out the paperwork and was told it could take up to 12 weeks for a refund. Finally the first week of June, I began contacting them to follow up since I had not received my refund yet. I have called and left messages and spoke with April in accounting on multiple occasions since the first week of June and just today finally heard back from them saying my refund would be issued by the end of the week. Today is July 21st, 2014. Over 5 months to get a refund is unacceptable and ridiculous.

The Only reason this place even gets ONE star is the fact that the young lady who TRIED to sale me a car was very sweet. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION UNLESS YOU ARE BUYING THE CAR THAT DAY. even then I would be hesitant to buy a car here. Regardless if you buy from them or not they will shot gun your credit and your score will be effected drastically. My advise, get an appraisal from them, and go elsewhere. SERIOUSLY. My Credit score was great, until Capitol Kia shot gunned it and ran it AFTER I told them DO NOT do anything with my personal information. My credit score dropped 57 points.. 57!!! And I am still receiving letters from loan services! Mind you within a few days of going to Capitol Kia, I drove to Dallas to purchase a new car. While there they pulled my score and it had ALREADY DROPPED BY 15 POINTS!! The sales man at Vandergriff Showed me all the inquires and explained to me this Shot Gun method that Capitol Kia had done with my credit. No way in xxxx would i EVER go back to capitol kia. They will ruin your credit even after you tell them you won't be buying from them they continue to run it. This puts you in danger of FRAUD, IDENTITY THEFT, and so many more problems. Im not the first person this has happened to either. My friend also went to Capitol Kia in April 2013. Not only was her credit shot to the ground but her identity was stolen and her credit is now locked down because of this "shot gun method" Thank you very much Capitol Kia for making my FIRST car buying experience xxxx.

Absolutely horrible. After I decided what I wanted to buy (and my salesperson was the only good part of this experience), they left us sitting, sitting, sitting, and the process of writing a check (no loan) and leaving with the keys took 3 1/2 hours. The "finance" person we were required to sit endlessly with belched loudly and repeatedly, played the drums on his desktop, hummed and sang, took forever, and insisted that we should pay $1000 more than the price we had agreed on. Because he didn't think we were paying enough. We were seconds from leaving when his general manager finally convinced him to write the sale up as agreed. When I called to schedule the new car "detailing" (removal of acres of interior plastic wrap) the phone girl was snippy and rude, I was on hold for 15 minutes in 2 separate phone calls, and I never managed to contact anyone in the service department. I have no idea how people arrange service at this dealership.

Ben and Fabian made our purchasing experience the best we have had in purchasing a vehicle over the past 25 years. They really worked with us to find the car that fit our family, our budget, and our comfort level. Everyone was considerate, professional, and focused on providing the best experience. I felt that the staff had pride in their work and their product. Kia has come a long way since my first Kia purchase in 1995. Thanks for making this a no-brainer.

We just purchased our second Kia Optima here and were very pleased with the process from start to finish. We had some minor issues with the delivery process on the first car, but were very satisfied with the time and effort everyone at the dealership took to make things right and make sure we were pleased when they handed us the keys. We were pleased. We have enjoyed this first Optima so much that it was an easy decision to come back here for the second one. Heath was a genuine pleasure to work with while selecting the vehicle we wanted and putting the deal together just as he was during our first purchase. Marcello was welcoming and made the finance/contract process smooth and efficient. He answered all our questions and made sure we understood the bottom line before we signed everything. Both of our purchasing experiences have demonstrated to us a commitment from the team at Capitol Kia to earn our trust and make sure we are happy with our new cars.

Susan (online sales) was very prompt with my online inquiry. When entering the dealership I was greeted by Brent who was very friendly and personable. Being a salesperson myself, I liked that Brent asked for the business on my 1st (and only) visit. Brent worked with his manager to get me the best price possible for my new car and my trade. I came in interested in a pre-owned vehicle but ended up buying new due to the "deal" Brent and his manager where able to offer. Marcelo in the finance department was very helpful and personable as well. He spelled everything out clearly and the .9% interest rate I received, how could I ask for better. Overall it was a wonderful and quick experience.

I have dealt with some dealerships that didn't listen to me as far as what I was looking for what I was willing to spend and what I could afford as a monthly payment. I went to Capitol Kia on a refferal from a friend. I was very pleased and in awe of how well the staff at Kia took care of my husband son and myself. Major listened to everything we had to say before he even suggested a vehicle for us. He went over everything with us from safety features to the smallest thing like interior color. When we came back to purchase the car Major was off however Fabian took care of us. He went out of his way to find a Forte that was a different color besides white, even if it would have cost more he was willing to take a loss as long as we were happy with the color. Fabian stayed with us well pass closing time to make sure that all the i's were dotted and all the t's were crossed. Not once did he get up set or suggest that we come back the next day (like many other dealers are known to do). Alex is great in the finance department. He went above and beyond what we expected from any dealership. I will be recommending Capitol Kia to my friends and family! So happy with my Forte and the staff that helped us with everything!

Horrible experience, purchased a used vehicle, got home the dashboard lights did not work, took the vehicle back the vehicle next day and apparently squirrels got under the hood and chewed up all the electrical wiring!!! Now tell me how they did not know this when I purchased it the day before and it went through "THEIR INSPECTION".....Luckily we got our money back! Oh and on a used vehicle they dont fill the tank up for you.....That was a first for me!However we went down the road and purchased the same make of vehicle at Covert GMC and Buick, Austin TX and I highly recommend Ricardo Casas. This is the 2nd vehicle we have purchased from them and they are so professional and are all about customer service. Will purchase my vehicles from them from now on with them, no doubt! Vehicle is is great condition, and I will also be getting a free tank of gas.

This was my second time buying a car and I couldn't be more happy with this dealership. Jeremiah, my sales representative, was very informative and willing to work with me to get the exact car I wanted. I knew that I wanted a 2013 Kia Soul + in the Dune color. However, none of the dealerships in Austin had that exact car. Jeremiah was able to find the car I wanted in Dallas. He personally drove to Dallas to pick up my car. When he arrived he discovered that the car listed on the Dallas website was incorrect and the only other car available in the color I wanted was a completely upgraded version. Jeremiah called his manager, Steve, and they agreed since it was a misrepresentation by the other dealership that they would go ahead and GIVE me the updated car without trying to ask me to pay more. I know that it was their mistake, however, they could have handled the situation completely different. Instead they were very kind and professional! Also, my finance representative, Joe, was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, informative, and really seemed to enjoy and love his job. He even kept my discounted rate on the updated car when we filed new paperwork! Overall, my experience with Capitol Kia in north Austin is one that I will not soon forget. I highly recommend anyone to go see and ask for these gentlemen when looking to buy a car!

Machell and I would like to thank your staff at Capitol Kia, we knew from the start it wouldn't be a walk in the park to get approved for a new Soul! But what a difference it was to put our trust in your staff. Between Ben in the Finance Dept. and Tori Schilling in Sales it was great to work with them. She was there every step of the way on our purchase. Ben explained very well at the end as we signed our paper work. We will highly recommend Capitol Kia to all of our family and friends. I would like to add for the first time a TV car commercial matched what we found at your dealership. Well Done!Jon , Machelle & Jose

Tori was a very pleasant Salesperson. There was not the "high pressure" sales tactics that I've seen over the years when trying to purchase a new car. She knew the products and answered all questions to our satisfaction. Jason was very helpful and supportive of Tori. Jon helped with the more technical set up of the Bluetooth phone system and explanation of the navigation system. All employees we ran into were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend Capital KIA to my friends looking for a new car.

We were there for an oil change on our Kia Soul. As we were bored, we went searching the new car lot to see the latest and greatest and prices! Marcus Benitez came up and told us all kinds of relevant information about the safety aspects and extras you get with your Kia. We learned a thing or two, took a test drive in a hybrid Optima, and registered for the drawing. When we were finished with that, we went back to Service to find that they had cared for our car over and above! Great interactions with everyone there.

Showed up after doing lots of research so we knew what we were looking for. Jon Hulsey greeted us and began the 3-4 hour process of test driving, showing us features and different vehicles. He keeps it real. Easy to converse with and joke with. I began our day saying we want a sorrento and definitely not white or red. In my driveway I have an awsome 2014 Kia Sorrento - IN CHERRY RED!!!! Jon and Marcelo worked at my last minute switch without giving me any grief. I was suprised at the FINAL $ figure, as we had negotiated a very good deal with previous KIA owner discounts, etc. but the reality is taxes, fees and insurance packages. We nailed a 0.9% interest rate and signed off with very affordable payments. I'm a happy 2 KIA car owner!

I have been disappointed with every aspect of this "reputable" company! I purchased my 2012 Kia Optima in December of 2011. My husband & I showed up to the dealership knowing exactly which vehicle I wanted & with a pre-approval from UFCU. We were hoping to be in & out of the dealership relatively quickly. Well, Kia was not too thrilled that we were not even considering financing through them. They spent hours insisting they could beat the rate... they couldn't. I was getting extremely aggravated & my 4 year old son was exhausted. We had to type up two different purchase agreements because the first one was $2000 higher than the amount we had agreed on... later we came to find out from UFCU that Capitol Kia had still tried to submit the higher amount (talk about unethical)! Additionally, I was not made aware of the fact that NO spare tire would be provided with my purchase. I didn't come to find out that I didn't have a spare tire until I got my first flat tire! Yes, I should have been responsible & made sure I had a spare tire in my trunk but I've own two USED vehicles in the past that came with spares, never did I think that my BRAND NEW vehicle would not have a spare. I feel that Kia should let their customers know they are no lower providing spare tires to cut down costs!

My wife and I have now purchased 2 vehicles from Capitol Kia. The service is Exceptional from every department. We were greeted by everyone as we were in the parking lot. We were offered drinks inside while our Salesman approached. Hooman or H, our salesman was phenomenal! The first night I got there late and he did not let the time of evening bother him at all. The dealership closes at 9pm and we were starting our discussion around 8:30pm. He was very interested in my Car needs and the reason why I was choosing the vehicle I did. We finished all paperwork and then he had me meet with Alex in Finance. Alex continued the excellence in service that I received from H. Alex and I finished all paperwork necessary after they closed at 9pm. As I was walking out to my new Sorento SX, I had a brief discussion with my wife. During the discussion I realized that I had misunderstood what she wanted for our new vehicle. I asked Hooman and Alex if we could postpone the deal for another day so that I could discuss further with my wife about our new almost Purchase. They both were great and insisted that I do that. So, the next morning my wife and son came along with me to see the new 2013 Sorento SX. We met with Hooman and Ben from Finance. We discussed again some minor financial issues and they exceeded our expectations with our budget for the vehicle. I have been now for the last 2 years and will continue to do business with Capitol Kia!! I was told I did not need a spare tire and if I did , I would have to pay more (the car I was considering did not have a spare tire).I was told "good luck finding that car for that price." I did at Charles Maund. They were happy to accept the price I offered for the same year car. I drove off their lot in my newly purchased car for price +TTL less than what the people at Capitol would offer.I given the run around. I was told that I was basically paying more for a car because the trade in was higher. When I said I did not want to pay extra for someone else's car or trade in, I was told that it was the best they could do. When I offered a price and Belton had me sign that I would buy today for that offered price, he came back telling me Jeremy said "no". Why did I sign if it was not a deal? I never even met Jeremy. he remained this elusive manager who did not have the customer service enough to discuss in person.I was told Capital Kia was the best place to buy a car - that is wrong and I have already begun telling my story to others. I think Charles Maund will appreciate the business.

We haggled a while and decided that it just wasn't going to work out. We were just backing out of the parking space, when Therion and Benjamin both came running out to get us. The car buying experience is not a pleasant one by any means so when I decided to purchase a new car I did all of the research on different types of SUV's and cars. I went into the dealership ready to buy a Kia Sorrento. However the monthly payments was more than I wanted to pay. Fabian was very kind and patient and we looked at various other models and decided on the Soul. Not sure if I was "young" enough for the Soul but once I drove it I fell in love with it. Fabian and the finance manager worked hard to get the payments where I was comfortable. The process was rather long but Fabian made sure my husband, a diabetic, had a drink and had lunch while we were waiting for the car. I have had a wonderful experience with this dealership and with Fabian. So much so that I sent my daughter to look at new cars, but only with Fabian. Fabian was honest and worked hard for me and never tried to steer me into a more expensive car or one with options that I did not want. He listened to me answered all of my questions and was knowledgeable about the cars that I asked about. When it comes time to buy another car I will go back.

The salesmen (Shawn from dallas & Todd) were great, very nice and helpful. The finance manager that helped me (Ben Clien) was great and as nice as could be. I have nothing bad to say about the people at Capital Kia or their cars. Lets just say, they definitely couldn't beat a new car Kia deal in Texas, and I gave them every opportunity to do so. I had gotten approved through Capital Kia for an auto loan with Capital One for 17.9% without trading in my current vehicle. I was trying to trade in my vehicle so I didn't have to let it get repossessed. Well I signed the paperwork but did not accept the delivery of the vehicle, so the sale was not final. I went home and applied through my credit union (UFCU) and was approved for a 6.9% auto loan, but I had to get my current vehicle paid off. Well I owed $6000 and had $3000 cash, all I needed was $3000 on my trade in to get my terms approved, get out from under my car and into a new car, and avoid a repossession. Well when I returned to the dealership to discuss these terms with them. They basically couldn't make it happen. They absolutely would not go any higher on my trade in that they quoted me ($1000). I told them if they can give me $3000 we could make it work and we had a deal. They would not budge and asked for an addition $2000 down to make up the difference. I again repeated my terms to them and said if you cannot meet these terms then I am going to have to look elsewhere. They could not meet my terms, but they did offer to give me the same deal as before but to give me the fully loaded upgraded model of the car I wanted. Sounded tempting, but I would have still had to take a repo. So I told them I was going to go to South Point Kia instead. They advised me that they were not going to be able to do any better. I told them that I would see what they could do, if they could meet my terms I was going with them, but if they couldn't then I would be back for the fully loaded model. Well needless to say, South Point was able to make MY TERMS work and gave me $3000 trade in for my car. Now before I went through with the sale, I called Capital back and told them the exact deal that I was getting with South Point and I asked him if they could meet that deal or do better and he replied with, "No I'm sorry I can't. I have never had a better experience buying a car. From locating the vehicles to signing the papers, I was done in 4 hours. This is not at all what I expected and went in completely prepared to start the process and pick it back up the next day. Josh was friendly, informative, and patient. We started the process by sitting down and he collected some information about what we were looking for, what we needed and what we hoped to achieve. I liked this approach. It got all the information in front of the sales person, to meet my needs. We looked at two different models and test drove both. I had specific packages in mind for both vehicles and was able to locate them quickly. He provided a lot of information on the features and specs on each vehicle, which I found very helpful and not at all pushy or leading. Once we picked which vehicle we wanted, he brought out the initial quad grid that is standard for any car sale. I don't work with the grids, I want all the numbers so I can see where everything is going, so nothing is hidden. Without question he went back up and got the actual numbers. At this point, I only had to send him back twice, once to adjust an add-on package I didn't want, and finally to finalize the price I decided on. He came back shortly after and confirmed all was to my liking. This is the first time I have gotten what I asked for without having to get upset or fight with a dealer (the constant back and forth to the sale manager for negotiation) for a fantastic price. Once in the finance office, Joe took over as my finance manager and everything was in line and ready to go. I had my own financing available, if I needed it, but they wanted to match what I had. Joe secured financing within about 5 minutes, matching what I had and saving me time because I didn't have to contact my financing. While signing the documents, at no time did I have the feeling that I needed to be on the lookout for anything out of place. Everything was straight forward and directly in line with what I specified. This was the best experience I have ever had and if it was always this smooth, there would never be a need to dread car buying. Josh and Joe made this a fantastic experience and I got a great deal on the vehicle.

Had the best car buying experience by far! Loved working with Jon. He provided great customer service with a smile and didn't push me into buying the car. He worked with me and got me a great deal. Would totally recommend this dealership to any family member or friend. Both my sisters and myself all own kias and we all bought them here.

I needed to turn in my leased vehicle in hopes to save money and it happened. Elliot was awesome! He was nice and not aggressive. Being a female that is the first thing I look for in a dealer. I went to Capital Kia one year ago and walked out so mad that I would never go back...well the car I am in is a Kia and was under warranty...took is to Carlos(who is AWESOME) told me it would cost me alot to fix so I thought I would just look around and Bubba came out! Wow! What a huge difference. Couldn't believe it! I do not know what they have done to change it but whatever they are doing KEEP IT UP!THANKS CAPITAL KIAPROUND OWNERJessica Verret

I was 2 years into a 3 year lease with 2 vehicles I was unhappy with and didn't want to wait another year to get into new cars. In this regard, I wondered if I could trade these vehicles in on two new vehicles under a new lease agreement, and also save some money in the process. I was interested in the new 2012 Kia Soul and our local dealer, Capitol Kia, was advertising attractive 39 month lease agreements on new cars. One evening I decided to stop by the dealership and find out if they could help me with my dilemma. This is when I met Ed Kimball in sales, and began a smooth process that culminated in me leasing two new 2012 Kia Souls and for less money than I was currently spending on cars I was not happy with. Along the way, I was able to take the cars home for extended test drives, and as I tweaked my requirements, Ed worked with me to re-quote me my requirements, and check to make sure if they had what I wanted in stock. Once I had my mind made up, my wife and I came to the dealership to complete the paperwork and were honestly surprised at how smooth and efficient the process was. Our past experiences with other dealerships were not as pleasant, where in every case, there were differences in the actually pricing and/or terms versus what was quoted to us by our sales rep. Not in this case! Alex Bedolla was our finance manager and he was fast, efficient, and helpful with any and all questions we asked. Most importantly, the pricing and terms quoted by Ed Kimball, were exactly what Alex Bodella was working up for us. As my wife and I waited for the temporary tags to be printed, she leaned over and said, "this is the best car buying experience we have ever had." And, we have been buying cars for over 40 years!

Yes, I'm in a Kia..optima SX Turbo ... and I couldn't worbe having more fun. My 2007 BMW 550i just ran out of warranty and their service dept told me it needed over $4000 of work.. mostly on things that were "fixed" under warranty . Rather pissed off I headed around the corner to Kia to drive the new optima for grins. Amusingly had just read the review of the 2012 turbo while at bmw. :) I was greated by what loooked like a former lineman for the Vikings, "Big Wayne". He was the easiest going sales guy Ive met in my 14? car purchases so far. I hopped in one of the optimas and went on my usual test drive....183 to 360 to old spicewood. Anyone who knows the area knows its the funnest drive around. The Kia handled nearly the same as my 550.. just lighter and it was working. Went back partly amused and partly befuddled that I could like this car that much. Ive had several bmw's, lexus, infiniti's that didnt make me feel that happy/goofy. Wayne and I haggled over pricing... he got me the price that was at the edge of my mental buy price and we set a time for the following day. Later that day I brought m y5 yr old daughter to "OK" the car... and she decided I should forget red and get black "you will get more police in red , daddy". Kid is smart.... next I drove off in my car and have been drivin the heck outa it since. Go see "Big Wayne " over at Cap Kia......he's an all-star!PS... I have yet to find the Bill Dickinson guy from the ads...

Upon entering the dealership we were greeted within seconds by Richard Keller and Therion "Bubba" Mitchell. They were very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had concerning the Kia Forte. My husband and I reseached several vehicles and narrowed it down between the Kia Forte and Ford Focus. After test driving both, we found the Kia Forte met all our expectations. Capitol Kia was very friendly and very easy to work with and after receiving a great deal, it was a no brainer to purchase this vehicle the same day. Their finance manager Alex Bedolla, was very thorough and explained every document prior to my husband and I signing them. The delivery process was also very efficient to include being introduced to their Service Advisor, Helen Sanchez. I highly recommend this dealership for their inventory, friendliness and for their no high pressure deals. Judy Smith

My experience was a dream come true. I am 66 years old and Capiitol Kia did something for me that I have never experienced before-allowing me to have car that was in ONLY MY NAME. When I first met my Sales Representative,Fabian, I felt a warm feeling. He was patient with me and my indecisiveness. His comment was "I want you to LOVE your car not just LIKE it. I selected the perfect car for me. Fabian walked me thru all the special features and I felt comfortable when I drove away in MY car. This dealership is ,BY FAR, THE most dishonest, scam artist dealership my husband and I have EVER come in contact with! I cant even begin to tell you how I feel about this establishment. We went in looking for a car and before we could even look at a car they wanted all of our personal information. We then looked at some vehicles and didnt see anything we liked. They got VERY frustrated and angry with us because we didnt want to purchase a car from them. We asked for our personal information back because we felt VERY uncomfortable with the people that were helping us. I still cant believe this occurred. I wouldnt even send someone I didnt like to buy a car from them.

We were looking to purchase another vechicle and we heard about this location on the TV. We went to Austin and Robert came to assist us. We didn't even expect to be able to get a brand NEW car and I needed a van because of my disabilities. We were showed the Kia Sedona and then Jerry worked up our deal. Initially Ron had laid the ground work the day before we came. Ron was off the day we came, so Robert helped us. After Jerry did his magic then we were sent to Cody in finance. There he hepled us . This dealership is so AWESOME and the people are so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and VERY GOOG at their jobs. They work VERY WELL with other. Such a GREAT bunch of people. This is our FIRST KIa and we are very IMPRESSED. We are loving it and ALL the people that have HELPED us are such a BLESSING! Even the receptionist Jennifer has been awesome. Andre was fantastic and took very good care of me. I changed my mind on vehicles so the had to take me for 2 test drives / 2 different vehicles. Brave soul! :) He had very good knowledge of the vehicle he was selling and he was a very nice guy. Explained everything. Finance guy was Alex and he was excellent at what he does. Very proficient [and quick] in generating the computerized paperwork. He had a very nice personality with a smile on his face. He also had good knowledge of the insurance / warranty products which were available or were provided. Between the both of them - I've had the best car buying experience there at Capitol Kia. Jason, the manager was who initially talked me into going there to buy my 2nd vehicle.

This is by far the best experience I've had purchasing a new vehicle. I did some research and knew exactly the model and trim we wanted. Our salesman, Vance, made sure we went over all of the Sorento's details with us. There was no back and forth games. I made a reasonable offer and it was accepted by Stever, the manager. With the rebates at the time, it came out several thousands below invoice. Brian, the finance guy, even made sure I qualified for a rebate I didn't even think I qualified for. I drove out with a brand knew 2011 Kia Sorento in less than 2 hours.I will definitely buy from these guys again.

This was the best car buying experience I have had! I will definitely be buying my next car from Capitol and will recommend everyone I know to buy their next car there as well. I only had a couple of hours off of work this morning and wanted to test drive the Kia Soul. When I arrived Ben happened to be walking out of the building. He took the time to ask what I wanted in a vehicle and showed me more than one option that suited my wants and needs. He showed me all the features of the 2 vehicles I was looking at including safety features that I was very impressed with. I have purchased 3 other cars and no one has taken the time to do this with me. Then it came down to color. Once I decided on the color, I let Ben know that I had somewhere to be, but he made it all happen so quickly and without me feeling like I was being rushed into a deal. During the process he sat down and walked me through each step and made sure that I understood everything that was going on. The financing guys were awesome! They were friendly and once again explained everything to me but did not take their ever long time like some dealers do. I love that I did not have to sit around and wait just to sit around and wait some more. I feel like I was treated like I mattered to them all and that's a great car buying experience! I am now the proud owner of a Denim Blue Soul with all the features!!!!

I absolutely will never recommend this dealer to anyone. After purchasing my 2011 Kia Soul, prior to leaving the lot, I discovered a scratch and missing paint on the bumper. My salesman, Levi, assured me it would be fixed or replaced the next day and I would get a loaner. LIAR! No loaner car, out 80 bucks on a rental. When my car was finally fixed a week and half later, it was returned to me filthy with the driver's floor mat ruined and white buffing compound all in the textured black are of the bumper. Shoddy work, crappy customer service. EPIC FAIL CAPITOL KIA!!

First, the car I bought was scratched, which I didn't notice until we were putting the drive out tags on it. My salesman, Levi, promised to fix it or replace it the next day and provide a loaner car. That's when the run around started. They pushed me from the next day to a week later. Then they did not provide a loaner but made me get a rental (which they covered), but I had to front a deposit, additional rental insurance and extra fuel since they put me in a Dodge Caravan! My daily commute is over 80 miles. Then, I attempted to call today, Thursday to check on my car since I was assured it would be fixed today. Again, my salesman, Levi, assured me it was a quick fix and I would have my car today. I was told to call him around lunch time. I call at the appointed time and I ask for service. No answer. I call back and ask for Levi and I'm told he's off today. Nice! I ask for service yet again and no answer, again. I call back and ask to speak to a manager at which point I'm told (in a rude huffy manner) that the receptionist cannot page anyone because they are filming a commercial. I end up having to drive all the way to the dealer to find out that my car is not ready and will not be ready until tomorrow. I'm met with a smug, cocky and uncaring attitude when I express my frustration over the inconvenience they are causing me. It's been nothing but a hassle to deal with them ever since I signed on the dotted line. Their attitude is terrible. I don't want their free stuff; oil changes and detailings are going to get me my free time back. I want them to do what they say they will in the manner they agree upon. Don't tell a customer one thing and then say sorry that's not happening. That is unacceptable! I regret 100% purchasing my vehicle from them and I will make it my hobby for as long as I own this car to tell everyone I meet how terrible Capitol Kia's customer service really is! They are liars and shouldn't be trusted with your business or your money!

I loved Ben Fiel... He was super nice and I didn't feel presured at all. I had done my homework and knew I was going to purchase a 2011 Sportage. I had been in and looked at the car a few times and talked to a few salepeople (not seriously though) I am commissioned sales so I know not to mess with peoples time. Ben was great.... the only Negative I have is I was using outside financing. I gave Capitol Kia a $5000 check for my down payment they made me sign a promise to pay Friday night about 9:30 pm when I took the car. The check was cashed by Monday at noon which is fine. They faxed my bank the intent to purchase which my bank got on Monday. My bank fed exed me my paperwork and I signed it and got it back to them on Wed.(they are 400 miles away) Brandon the finance guy at Kia called my Bank on Tuesday and they told him they were waiting on my signature but the financing was all set. Brandon had the gaul to say "well I guess we will just have to repo the car" WHAT???? That is an awefully strong word to throw around when they had a $5000 payment and a verbal agreement from the bank. Ben was great, I love the car, Mark in the service department seems really nice over the phone. Overall good feelings. The car is amazing and priced right. I have a small ding I just noticed now that it finally has stopped raining, they said they will fix it and do the "make ready" at the same time. I love my car!!! And I would recomend Ban Fiel all day long..Cristen

I had the car for 3+ weeks. I was told that it was financed and a DONE deal before they let me take posession of the car.So, we thought we would make our monthly payments etc and the auto is ours.BUT...The call came 3+ weeks after we bought and supposedly financed this vehicle that... well, the financing just did not work out???? Now, at the drop of a hat I need to take off work for a few hours to go repo my own car and drive it back to the dealership. It had to happen now! So I got my wife to meet me at Capital Kia Austin Texas while I returned the vehicle I was told was financed when we bought the car? And now They are looking for my trade in vehicle which is being auctioned off as I type? And I am now late on the payment for the traded vehicle? What a jerk-around and half assed business this is huh?If this happens to you please report the dealership to the consumer credit commission at 512-936-7600 (the auto finance division) or the TXDOT Dealer Enforcement at 512-416-4800These idiots need to be punished for causing so much grief in peoples lives (which is simply unnecessary)

The past week was a horror. Went in on April 29, 2010 bought a 2005 Kia Sorento. Signed all paperwork (contract) and gave my down payment of $1000. I get a call on May 3, 2010 that the bank did not want to finance me and I needed to return the car or the will have to come pick it up. I told the person I had no problem bringing the car back but I wanted my down payment refunded. The guy told me to come in and he would have a paper for me to sign, that I returned the car. When I get there the person who I talked with by phone was not "available". He was with another guest making a deal. So they sent out a salesmen that I dealt with also. I asked him where was my down payment and he stated it was in accounting and would not be available until after noon the next day. He also did not bring the paper I needed to sign and I said I did not feel comfortable leaving the car and had no paperwork. I went ahead in left after feeling intimidated when I asked for him to sign my paper that I was returning the car. I said I would be back tomorrow to pick up those checks. The next morning I went straight to my bank to cancel those checks I wrote to Capitol Kia for the down payment.I felt that these people were trying to scam me and giving me the run around. Also when I get back to the dealership the guy only gives me one check and said the other check was already deposited. I new then that these people were trying to take my money and also they broke their contract agreement. Also as I was leaving the dealership I noticed the car was up for sell and was being showcased. I took pictures as proof that the car was being sold again. By the way the cancellation of my checks that I wrote were processed in the nick of time. They did not get a dime from my bank account. These people give car salesmen a bad name. I will be pursuing a lawsuit against them.

My husband and I stopped in on a whim to see what was available. As soon as we drove in, we were greeted by a salesman. We told him exactly what we needed, we had nothing for a down payment and had my '92 car for a trade in and also told him what we needed for a monthly payment. My husband told him that we did not want to waste his time if he could not do anything for us. The salesman understood and proceeded to show us an 09 model. He took us on a test drive . the car itself was ok, not really what I wanted but asked if we wanted to crunch the numbers. We decided to see if we could afford the car. Turns out, after many "let me go talk to my manager....." , the payments were simply more than we could afford. We both told him we would need to go home and crunch the numbers to see if we could make the purchase and that we could not make such a big decision without making sure we could comfortably do it. He kept expounding in the 10 yr/100,000 warranty, "it's a new car... blah, blah, blah. wE KEPT TELLING HIM WE COULD NOT AFFORD THE PAYMENTS, THANKS ANYWAY. So, after a bit, he relents and asks what I would like to do, I tell him this car is more than I am wanting to spend , I would like to see what they have in used. He than says, Ok, lets go look at the used cars. Then he says, I'll be right back, I need to talk to my manager. He comes back and then tells me that since I am a first time buyer( my husband purchased my 92 in his name) I would not be able to get a loan for a used car, only a new car. WTF??!! His sales mgr comes in with the hard sell and that the offer they gave us was as low as they could go. Once again, my husband tells him that it is a good deal but we cannot afford it. He then tells us again what a great new car it is with a great warranty. My husband asks him what good would that do when the car gets repossessed because we cannot afford the payments? I finally have to tell them for the last time we cannot afford the car and that we will have to walk away. They only cared about the sale, they could care less if you can make the payments.I did e-mail this dealership to inquire about the 7900.00 Spectra and I was curious about it.I wrote to a different sales person and asked about the financing for 1st time buyers beeing able to only get a loan for a new car. She responded that was not true and asked who said that to me. I wrote back that is was a salesman whose 1st name begins with a J and he works at her dealership and due to his deception, I would not be buying anything from this dealership.

They gave me a fair deal and made the deal quickly. Capital kia should be avoided at all costs.

These people are highly unethical. I purchased a car and went through all of the hard sales tactics many other reviewers on this site experienced. They went over the top when I got a phone call a few days after I closed the sale and they asked me to come in and "sign a paper they forgot about." When I got there, they informed me that my trade in vehicle had problems and they were no longer willing to take it. They gave me the option of returning my new car on the spot, or taking back my trade in and refinancing or paying them the difference. I eventually filed a lawsuit against them. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this den of unethical criminals.

Tom Ho lied the finance guy when he said that the car had 25 miles on it when I bought it, but when I stepped back into the drivers seat I noticed it had 69. I should have walked right back in and had them change that info on the agreement. They tried to stick me with a 75 k warranty without telling me, they advertise 100k all over the place. I should have walked out right then and there. I was there for hours without them offering me anything to drink. They treated me like a fish on a hook just because I was a woman. Tom kept talking about the color and how "pretty it is" in his most feminine voice. Two days later I called tom just to ask him a question about the gas card I was offered. He never called me back. Then I went up there that night and just asked him as i tried to avoid being mean "Tom I haven't heard from you. What's going on?" and instead of just saying "well i'm here now, what can i do for you?" he became indignant and stubborn as he angrily told me he did call and then showed me some sheets of paper with the message the receptionist left for him as if it were proof. I truly regret buying my first new from Capital Kia. They have ruined the sense of joy i had over getting a new car, and they did not try to make it right.

My husband and I contacted this dealership today regarding a vehicle on their inventory website. My husband was pre-approved and told that he would be contacted as to the availability of the vehicle in question. Since he was not contacted, I called hours later. I spoke to the same salesperson, Janae, who asked if we wanted to come look at it as it was available at their location. I said that we would be there after I got off work. I asked their closing time so that she would realize that I would be there soon. I spoke with her at approximately 3:15 p.m. and my husband and I got to the dealership at around 5:15 p.m.We were quickly greeted by a friendly salesman, Jessie, who asked us to come inside to see Janae. He got chairs for my children and me to sit with him at a table. We were informed that Janae had strep throat and had gone home. Jessie if we were interested in a new vehicle. I told him that we came to see something specific and could we just see it.He then went to the very high counter and was informed that it had been sold. I was upset and asked to speak to the manager. Instead of coming out from behind the counter, Pancho Martinez, who told me that he was the manager, stayed behind the counter. Never once did he apologize for us having to drive to the dealership with 3 children in tow. He was rather indignant. I was upset--never once did he try to help or listen to my complaint. He told me that he did not understand why I was upset. Clearly, I was upset that I had wasted time and money. Then, I asked for his name which he reluctantly gave to me. I then asked for the owner's name. I was told that there is no owner. I asked for the corporate headquarters address. To this, he said that he had no idea what that would be. This seemed incredulous to me. Then he revealed that he was a visiting sales manager, whatever that is. Lo and behold, the general manager, Jason Thompson, was sitting next to him. However, I had to ask for his name 3 times before he decided to give it to me. I am not sure that he really was Jason Thompson; I hope for your sake that he was not and just lied to me. They both informed me that it would do absolutely no good to get their names and make a complaint because there was no one who would listen or care. Interesting to me..is that true? Do you not care about customers? In this economy--do you really want to alienate customers who are relatively young with children who will need cars? This dealership needs some customer service training. Had they come out from behind the counter and listened to my complaint and truly apologized for not being able to deliver the vehicle that I wanted, I would not have been happy but I would not be frustrated, mad, upset, etc.The slogan at the bottom of the page is "The Power to Surprise"--please, surprise me.

Worst experience I have ever had. #1. Advertised $7900 Kia Rio - I called and specifically asked Jason if they had any of these on the lot available for purchase if I came in immediately; he responded that there were 4. After hours of bickering and trying to get me to buy other cars - with absolutely NO reduction over the sticker price; I said that I just wanted to buy the $7900 Rio with no AC, there were some on the lot, but they weren't available (notice I ASKED SPECIFICALLY as I have run into the gotcha deals before). Well, there were NONE available according to the staff. I asked to speak to Jason who had lied to me, they wouldn't get him. I asked to speak to a manager, and he said "I don't know why he would tell you that" - but would not get Jason for me to speak to directly. I immediately walked out. #2. Marcus called back and said he had called around and found one person who would wait for another. Then he asked me what color I would like. I believe those ads are purely gimmicks and they do anything to prevent you from buying those available because they don't make money. I read another review where the person was told that the price $7900 was only for military. #3. They also had a used Honda Civic on the site. We purchased that car. After picking it up a day later, they then called and said they needed to do emissions testing. Meanwhile we noticed that the new tires were badly out of balance. I had a salesman say they would take care of that while it was in, but they then called and said the purchase was "as is" and they would charge me. Now I am afraid that all of the "safety checks" they have done weren't really. I'm sorry, but new tires not balanced??? #4. Would NEVER go there for service, drive to get a time online, and speaking to reps; booked out for weeks in advance. I'm sticking with Honda and Honda dealers. Do not shop here. Do not believe anything they say; hey don't even believe published ads. Apparently, no matter what the salesmen say or do, it is perfectly okay.

I have had only positive experiences when i have been at capitol kia. All of the salesman are incredibly helpful, and courtieous. I do not know why people are writing all these bad reviews. I guess you also just have to go in there with the right attitude. My salesman Jimmy was very knowledeable on all aspects of the spectra that he showed me. and I LOVE MY CAR! I have taken it back numerous times for my oil changes and scheduled maintinence, and EVERYONE at the delarship is awesome. Like i said before, i dont know whats wrong with all these other people, i think capitol kia is great, and i definitley reccomed them to everyone!!!

After calling to see if they still had any '07 Sportages in stock and told to hurry in because they had one left, my sister and I (who are 24 and 22 year old women) went to look at the car. Upon arriving they said that they had just sold the '07 but could get me a great deal on an '08. After being there for several hours, they had a deal written up with the final price of the vehicle (which the MSRP for was 22,000) at $30,000. Every Sportage in stock had tinted windows, the anti-theft etching, and "special" carpets, which added over $2,000 to the price of the vehicle and probably cost them next to nothing to install. They tried to sneak in the fact that the financing was over a 72 month term, as opposed to a 60 month term, which caused the overall cost to skyrocket. When I realized this the finance manager said "Oh, the salesman didn't tell you that we were talking about a 6 year plan? Probably not I guess..." We left with the car and the deal with a 48-hour contingency attached so that I could get my dad's approval, and upon realizing how badly we were scammed took the car back immediately. They then kept us there for another 45 minutes, negotiated the car down to a total of $24,000, and said that they would give me that deal and would be taking a 2,500 dollar loss in the sale. We insisted several times that we simply wanted the paperwork and the down payment check shredded or returned to us and to leave, and they still persisted in trying to sell us the car. In all, it was a waste of a perfectly good Saturday that left me feeling scammed and humiliated, and dealing with my furious father. Tomorrow I will be going to Southpoint.

I went to Capitol Kia yesterday after seeing a 2004 Trailblazer listed on their site for $3k, the only vehicle I was really interested in... Before we even got close to a parking space, we had a salesman waving us into one, who proceeded to usher us inside and went to get the internet sales woman I'd talked to on the phone earlier about that vehicle... I had to take my son to the bathroom, and while I was in there, my girlfriend told me that woman had told our salesman that the vehicle we were interested in was sold that morning (a fact she neglected to mention when I called her about it in the afternoon)... This didn't phase him... Without letting me know this, he walks me out to a 2007 model and starts praising it, and when I ask if this is the one from the internet (before he mentioned the year), he said no that one sold this morning, but this is an '07 and I can cut you a "smokin deal" on it... I told him I was only interested in that one because it was an SUV and it was cheap with low mileage on it... So he starts showing me some other SUV's, all in the 16k price range, my girlfriend tells him he must have missed (ignored) the point that we were looking for something cheap... So he takes us to their base model Spectra, no A/C, no power anything, priced at a reasonable $7900... but he can cut me a smokin deal on it... I say no dice, he takes me to another car that's "more in my price range" but is sold, and we finally decide to just leave... He says wait, let me call one of our other locations and see if they have anything more in line with what you're looking for... We tell him they're on our way home and we can just stop by them on our own... He says "wait let me just make one phone call real quick!" and runs inside... By the time we walk around to the front of the place where we're parked, he's out there waiting for us with his "floor manager" (who knows how many of these guys they have in addition to their army of salesmen)... He talks me into looking at 1 more car in the very back corner of the lot, so I walk out, it's a 2001 Galant w/ 70k miles on it... By the time I'm making my way back to the front, the floor manager meets me and says he was able to "work the price down" to about $4200 plus tax... I say that might work, intending to leave anyway, and they go to move the car up to the front so I can test drive it... I head for the car, but stop in to tell the internet sales lady I don't know where those 2 guys disappeared to but I'm gonna go look around at other places, tell them I said bye... Her response: Oh, well I'm sure he'd like to say goodbye to you himself... of course he would... I wait for about 30 seconds, then just walk to the car and get in... Before we can back out 2 feet, another "floor manager" comes running out of the building waving his arms for us to stop, and stands by my window... When I roll down the window he tries more strongarm tactics, asking what I'm looking for, what price range, what kinds of payments I'm looking to make, they're sure they can find something I like, and I finally tell him we're just gonna go look at other places... He says well I'm telling you right now we can beat any deal out there... So I tell him well then let me go out and get some deals for you to beat... Finally they let us go, but damn, those salespeople are like a bunch of frickin vultures... Oh, and by the way, the 2001 Galant that they "worked down" to $4200 for me? I found it listed on Austin's Craigslist a little while ago, listed as of a week prior to my visit, at $3995... What a bunch of humanitarians, working the price down to more than that for me...

I purchased a used VW Beetle from Capitol Kia on 4/14/07. I started having problems with the car three days later. When I called the dealership they gave me the biggest run around. We finally got them to take a look at it because they sold me the car with expired inspection and they could not inspect because the check engine light was on. After they "fixed" the car I was still having problems. I called Capitol Kia and the VW dealership they had used. After talking to the VW dealership and having them fax the service report to us we discovered that Capitol Kia had bought this car back from the owner before me. They sold me a car that they had already bought back and never mentioned a word to me. This car had a problem so dangerous that VW told them it could not be fixed and what did they do but put it back on the lot and sold it to me. After threatening them with a deceptive trade lawsuit, they decided to buy the car back from me. I'm sure this car will be back on the lot to resale soon.

This was a horrific experience! The salesman and finance man refused to give me the car price and any discounts, etc in writing. They just kept handing me papers with the amount of a monthly payment and the amount of a downpayment for me to initial. All I wanted was the numbers so I could bring them to my bank to see about financing...but they kept pressuring me to use their bank - Capitol One- with figures sight unseen. Eventually, I demanded my keys back. The finance man yelled at me and followed me outside, continuing to harangue me as I drove away. "You are missing the deal of a lifetime! Why won't you listen to me?!" Have never been treated so disrespectfully as a customer.

On two separate occassions I had service needs for my Optima (which I had bought elsewhere) and the timeliness and friendliness of the staff was superb. When looking for a Kia I would try them first and have recommended others to them.

I'm not going to spend too many words here, since I'm taking action with Kia USA to stop people like these to offend customers with their lack of professionalism. All I'm saying is that after hours of negotiations with them, last Saturday they gave me a final price of $20,000 for a Sportage EX. And they also gave me the car for the weekend. Today (Monday) I went back to buy this great car, but the sales manager (Chris) with an extremely arrogant approach "explained" that the $20,000 wasn't a deal at all, that probably I may have misundertstood, etc etc. I also called Jesus and Louis (the people I dealt with, that gave me the final deal) and in front of their sales manager they didn't even repeat and confirm what they told me on Saturday. So, the sales manager told me that I should have asked them to put something written (or recorded). You can imagine my reaction. And the experience was much worst than I described here. I'm taking action with Kia USA, since this is simply not acceptable. Don't even go there, and if you go, take a recorder hidden in your pocket when you negotiate.

They start pricing at $2000.00 over MSRP and then proceed to try to cheat you more from there. If they were not paying big advertising dollars to the newspaper and the television stations to keep them from letting people know how crooked they are they would not be in business. Would not buy anything from this dealership ever.

As a former sales employee of this dealership, I cannot emphasize how much you should stay away from this delaership. They try to pop you for more than full price on the vehicle, cram on extras, and maximize your payment so that you are BBB (Buried Beyond Belief). They even brag about sticking it to the customers (e.g., 'we stuck it in all the way') and what kind of outrageous commissions they make during the sales meetings. This dealership is the kind of place that gives the auto sales industry a black eye as a whole.Thank God I've moved onto another dealership that respects their customers and has ethics and morals.

I went here to get a Kia Spectra 5 because I currently had a Chevy Silverado pickup. After talking with the dealer for 7 hours we finally got what we wanted. They would take over the payments on the Silverado and get me my monthly payments on the Spectra 5 at $275 a month. Financing was approved and everything. Then, three weeks after having the vehicle, I get a letter from Wells Fargo (who does their financing) saying that they declined my approval for the Spectra. They also said that the Silverado is still under my name and not the name of the dealership (who took it as a trade-in to take over the payments). Now they're trying to say that even though I was declined for financing that the paperwork shows me under contract for the Spectra 5. But also still under contract for the Silverado. Basically, they're wanting me to return the Spectra 5 but still fulfill the contract on it as well as the contract on the Silverado. This company is trying to cost me an extra $275 a month for a vehicle that I won't even have. I'm talking with some attorneys about legal action against this dealer. I thought I was getting a good deal but it was nothing but a headache. I strongly urge anyone to look elsewhere in Austin before even stepping on the grounds of Capitol Kia.

I would never, ever deal with a dealer that SPAMS THE AIRWAVES CONSTANTLY WITH LOUD, HARD-SELL COMMERCIALS. These annoying commercials are on both tv and radio every 10 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I realize that businesses need to advertise in one way or another, and that marketing experts have proven formulas for generating sales leads with X amount of ad exposure. Many used car dealers as well as new car dealers sometimes use loud, hard-sell commercials, but Capitol KIA takes things to a new level, a really annoying, painful level! I wouldn't even buy a used car or another make from the owner of this dealership.

I would not feel comfortable purchasing a car from this dealer. After informing the salesman I was looking for a Sorento LX, the salesman led me to the closest one and started his sales pitch. He was very well rehearsed; even telling me where to stand so I could see the features he was describing. This was ok until I asked specific questions that he did not know the answer to. He would make up an answer or ignore my question and continue his presentation. He clearly knew nothing about the vehicle other than what he was taught to say. I asked if I could purchase one without the $795 anti theft chip in the key that had been added on a separate window sticker and was told no, they all have that. Once we completed the demonstration, I found myself sitting in the passengers seat with the door closed and he was backing the car out of the parking space. We proceeded to the edge of the parking lot and after explaining how quiet the car was, he entered into traffic on the access road of US Hwy 183. We were soon doing 70 mph and neither of us had a seat belt on. He pulled into a neighborhood behind the dealership and asked me to drive. Fortunately I had already driven a Sorento so I refused. We made it back to the dealership alive where I asked for a quote on that specific car including my trade-in so I could take it to my bank for financing. Several forms were filled out about my trade-in and then he was off to see his sales manager. He returned with one form where scribbled in black marker was written; OK DEAL, +TRADE, +REBATE, +3000, -> 489.10. I told the salesman that was not what I needed. I needed something that showed tax, title, trade-in value, etc for my bank. After two trips back and forth from the sales manager and 20 minutes later I got what I wanted on paper. But it was not signed, therefore useless.

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had when trying to buy a car. I did not realize that car dealerships still operated with high pressure sales and shady promises. I gave Jesus my car key to have my car appraised for a trade-in. When Jesus came back with a sale price after I had requested a lease term I decided I did not want to deal with him and asked for my car key to be returned so that I could leave. He then wanted me to sign a written statement that said I would buy a car if he got it down to a certain payment. Remember, I wanted a lease, told him so, and he would not listen to me. I repeatidly asked for my key back so I could leave, and my request was ignored. I almost called the police until someone finally brought the key up. Even the floor manager was awful, when I tried to get help from him to get my key back, he asked me why I was having a problem buying a car, and when I again asked him for the key, he kind of looked around and said he didn't know where it was. This was the first time they acknowledged that I was asking for the key back, eventhough I had asked at least 6 times. I cannot believe that these people are still in business.
