I am a first time car buyer and was absolutely shocked by how painless this whole process was. I visited multiple Honda and Kia dealerships and can without a doubt say that the service given at Capitol was the best I encountered. Rob was so helpful and truly worked his hardest to get me into the best possible car for the lowest price. He took the time to run numbers for multiple cars initially, then continued to correspond through email while I was weighing options. I finally decided that I wanted a particular car that was going to come into the dealership sometime that weekend and Rob called me right away. The buying process was very simple and didn't take anywhere near as long as I was expecting. Everyone was very patient and answered any questions posed at any time. I'm so glad that my coworker recommended Capitol to me. I loved the experience given and will absolutely recommend this dealership, and Rob, to anyone.

----------PROs------------I've been to many many dealerships over the past 4 years. From Sacramento to San Jose and lots of other cities in between (Fairfield included). And yet, I have never experienced a better service than theirs. They are HONEST, they are polite, they CARE, they are all nice, and more importantly they are good people. From the nice person who pours coffee, to Jonathan, a very wise service advisor who by the way has been helping me in very unusual cases just to make me have a better experience. The have a nice lounge area too with a high-speed wireless internet that is so fast that sometimes the dealerships near to them steal their internet. I know this for a fact! Believe me! One day I went to check out those dealerships (coughhhhhondaaaa) and their internet speed was like the old dial-ups, except when I asked they gave me the password to the Capitol Kia wifi!! And yes, it worked!Their sales reps are much better than most other dealerships but I have to admit, I still have some minor issues when it comes to sales reps for car dealerships. They really want to run your credit score before they give you any estimates. Although, at Capitol Kia, it was much less stressful cause they eventually helped me without running my credit score. Services and parts are super quick and right on time. You schedule services via their website and boooom, you are done. In case you need to pay a lot for the services, they help you without you even asking them. They give you discounts (reasonable ones) if they really feel there is room for it. I, one time, brought my car for a regular oil change and they found out that I have to replace a part too. It was going to cost me about $500 but the second they saw my eyebrows curving inside my eyes through my brain, they offered some discounts just to make me feel better. Every time they were giving me a discount, they were checking my eyebrows like if it was my pulse. Ever since then, I trust their judgement on the price. I don't even care about that cause I know they will do their best to lower the price. I don't even ask them anymore. That's how easy they made a loyal customer out of me. :DTheir location is also very convenient. They are super close to Chevron gas station and carwash (by the way they do free carwash for customers too which I know is very common. But theirs is somehow better than the previous ones I have tried), McDonald, PoPeye, Subway and several other options within 1-2 minute walking distance. In addition, if you do care about buying cars from honest people to feel you had a good deal, if you care about the quality of services, and if you care about the fact that Kia has great cars with amazing prices per their value, you should at least check this place out. ----------CONs------------They have free coffee in the lounge area but no cookies! :(They have a place for charging EV cars but it's usually taken. :((They have a big TV but it's always on the same channel (I don't want to let you know, cause I want to check it out yourself, LOL)Their location has a bad Verizon network coverage. So if you wantt o use 4G, you maybe encounter some issues.

Victor Redd was informative & ever mindfulof our needs. He worked persistently for us without ever being pushy & arranged for us to try out cars to discern for ourselves if the car worked for my disabled husband. Thinking we'd found something appropriate elsewhere, I notified him, whereupon he dug deeper and found similar features on his lot for a much better price. Why would anyone shop for a car anywhere else?

My sister started the process to acquire a 3 year lease for a small car for my mum. San Jose Kia picked up the bell and gave a us a great deal. A small effort to "Up Sell" the contract was quickly forgotten... that was important to me for me and my sister had a budget already set.The delivered the car quickly and in perfect condition.So far, so good with only 1 week on a 156 week contract.My family has 4 Honda cars (was Toyota) so I will see how this car performs.

I'm in love with my 2016 Kia Rio EX, and it's all thanks to Victor Redd! This is my first car and Victor made the buying process super pleasant and smooth. One of the most painless purchasing experiences I have had. After connecting with Will McGrath, the entire process was smoother than you could imagine. Will was willing to communicate electronically and not force us to go into the dealership to negotiate what we wanted. My husband and I were looking for a lease/return Kia Soul to purchase. EVER. Two Sales Associates, a Sales Manager, and the General Manager at Capital Kia in San Jose have failed at representing the Del Grande group in an appropriate manner, and I urge consumers and the corporation to pay close attention to the details below (in order of each individual dealt with). I was looking to purchase a VW GTI as a gift for my husband. I thoroughly researched all used GTIs available from Santa Cruz to Sacramento and felt that the one Capital Kia had to offer was one that I was interested in test driving. I called, scheduled and appointment, and made my way from Union City to the dealership. Manny (newly employed sales associate): Upon arrival he greeted my husband and we made small talk as we did a thorough walk around of the vehicle. The vehicle had zero body damage but we did point out to Manny glue residue on the interior that looked like it had been left over by a sticker. My husband then test drives with Manny. Zander ("veteran" sales associate): Manny hands us over to Zander because he has another customer. In most countries when you are handed over to be beaten, tortured, and killed they explain the crime you committed in order to deserve such a punishment. I'm not sure what I did to Manny to be handed over to Zander. Zander's insufficient customer service is so extraneous that it must be compiled into a bullet pointed list of its own.. Zander lacked knowledge of our turbo charged GTI (he filled it with 87 octane when it states "91 octane only) on the fuel lid, tried to sell us a maintenance package that did not include the price difference of synthetic oil, and gave us warranty prices for a package that did not include the upcharge for the turbo charger) While driving me to the gas station to fuel up for my test drive, he failed to use a hands free device while talking AND texting on his mobile phone. Not only is that against California law, I'm sure an automotive group has an employee policy in place regarding that. Maybe right next to their views on alcohol consumption while operating vehicles. Basic safety items. Apparently once you sign a contract, your deal is not secure with Zander. While waiting to be seen by finance, another family came to inquire about the GTI and wanted to pay cash. Zander felt it necessary to inform us of this family multiple times 1) Saturday, before we went into finance 2) Sunday, during THREE separate phone conversations when we were working out delivery details for my trade in. My husband finally called him after the third conversation to tell him to stop badgering me 3) Monday, when he came to pick up the vehicle I was trading in.

I was keeping up on my end of the deal, you Zander, were not. Secondly, when Zander came to pick up my trade in on Monday (1030AM) I let him know to let the car run for a few moments since it had been sitting for six months. He did not listen and took off with the vehicle. As he's driving away he rolls down the window to let me know that the gas light turned on, he doesn't know if he'll make it to the dealership. He leaves anyway, and ten minutes later I receive a text from him "I ran out of gas and I'm stuck on the freeway," insinuating that I am to come out and help him?John (General Manager) : 1130AM I call John, tell him my experience, and let him know I want to be reassigned to a sales person with better customer service, I need to sever all ties with Zander. This is a gift for my husband, I'm dealing with it all while I'm at work. Zander picked up my trade in, did not bring my GTI with him, and so I am without a vehicle. John apologizes and says he'll get back to me. 330PM I call back because I have not heard anything, to which John says "I was under the impression your were coming to pick up your GTI." How would I get there?? Your salesman left me without a vehicle! John then says he'll have someone call me back.Frank (Sales Manager): 345PM He calls, introduces himself and starts banging out details of my loan. When I ask for a breakdown of my trade in, he is not prepared to give them to me. Why would I agree on a monthly payment unless I was knowledgeable of each detail of my loan? I tell him to call me back when he's better prepared. 4PM He calls me "I want to work this deal out for you, because of all you have been through, but how can you work for me?" Seriously? I'm supposed to convince YOU to sell me my car? I tell Frank no, and for HIM to give me his bottom line. We work out our deal and I tell him I'll figure out how to get to the dealership, I will not count on his employees to pick me up. He ends the conversation with "By the way, how old are you, because you sound young?" HOW IS THAT RELEVANT? 7PM I arrive to the dealership with a female friend, Frank greets us and leads us into finance while saying "I'm glad you and I could come to a deal, maybe you can write a Yelp review and mention me." Here you go, as promised FrankTed (Finance): Ted is the ONLY associate I have not had a problem with. From beginning to end he has been honest and straight forward. I don't need pleasantries, I just need to get the deal done, and Ted was all that. Thank you Ted.Manny: Apparently Manny got called in to seal the deal. After I signed my papers Manny walked me out to the vehicle where I did another walk around. What do I find? A dent on the hood of my once perfect car, covered up in cheap paint that does not match. Manny acknowledges that the dent was not there Saturday.Frank: Is called over to see the dent, but claims it is tree sap, but if it is a dent underneath they will fix it and that I should come in on Saturday. I tell him this is my only car, I'm coming from Union City, will they provide me a loaner vehicle? Frank says no, because they do not accommodate used vehicle customers with loaners. He mentions a yelp review again, asks again how old I am (because he's sure I am younger than his youngest daughter), and tells me it's been a pleasure.Manny: Having had enough abuse for the day, I decide to get going. Manny asks what happened the past two days, so I tell him and let him know I am still upset. Instead of active listening, he flirts with my female friend about some nonsense.. then asks us both to stand in front of the GTI.. because he takes pictures of all his happy customers with their new purchase. 1) I'm not a happy customer 2) My female friend did not sign or co sign for the GTI, therefore she is not your customer and is in no way attached to this deal. Manny, learn to read customers and do not push them when they are already upset.John: The next day I call John to let him know how the pick up of my car went and also about the dent. He seems surprised that Frank even agreed to fix it (?????) and confirmed that he would not find another form of transportation for me. I tell him I am uncomfortable visiting your dealership, is it possible to send my car to your DGDG dealership in Fremont, which is closer to where I live in Union City. He says that it is not possible and to let Frank know when I'm bringing the GTI in.I COULDN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP IF I TRIED.I could have simply walked away from the vehicle. But I stuck it out and endured the abuse for my husband to have his car. But now his car is 90% perfect and the staff is unwilling to accommodate me for something that happened at THEIR dealership. I signed papers Saturday for a perfect car, and picked up a dented one.Shaun Del Grande made a commitment to his customers called Project 100 "to provide 100% customer satisfaction to 100% of our customers 100% of the time"And in no way did I receive that type of service. I have purchased vehicles from Carlsbad Toyota, Capital Toyota, Capital Honda, Fremont Toyota, and Capital Ford.. I know what I'm getting into when buying from a dealership and what to generally expect. The staff at Capital Kia EXTREMELY FAILS in comparison to all of those dealerships. I am expected to purchase a new vehicle at the end of this year, and was considering a Kia for their awesome warranty, but I won't now. I will definitely tell my friends, family, and everyone I meet of my experience.

I went up and down the capitol dealerships looking for a new car and stopped here at Kia. The salesman was NEVER pushy and never tried to persuade me too much. I honestly was about to buy one of there cars just because of how great their customer service was. When I am looking for a new or used car in the future I will definitely stop by Capitol Kia.

I was in the market for a car for nearly a month. Somewhere along the way, I stumbled onto Heath at Capitol Kia. I let him know what I was looking for. His style felt like help. He e-mailed me links that seemed to meet my needs. I never felt annoyed with sales pressure. Instead, when I would call with questions, Heath was humerous with direct answers without keeping me on the phone any longer than I desired. Most of our association was on line or over the phone. When a arrived at the dealership to purchace my chosen car, Elizabeth and Heath worked together as a team, finding all the information I needed with a can do attitude. The process took longer than I had anticipated, but the wait was comfortable with light hearted, easy-going people around my children and me. The team was transparent and a breeze to do business with. The great experience continued with Mark in finance. Every step was easy and stress free. I felt like everyone took good care of me. Honesty is a core value to me. I don't expect to find it in a a car dealership, but I felt that I could truely trust the whole team.

I was trading in my 2008 BMW 328i because times were getting hard and the payment was getting hard to pay. I've had a rough life, and I've made some mistakes, so my credit was pretty bad. I had my heart set on a 2012 Optima EX with tech and premium package, but honestly, I didn't think I would be able to be approved with how bad my credit was! Thankfully, Frank in financing did his best to get a loan for me. I had applied at tons of other dealerships before hand and nobody else could do anything for me. Everyone said my credit was too low. Frank pulled through for me, and helped me get the loan for the car of my dreams! The actual person who helped me decide on a car was Susana. She was quite helpful, friendly, and she worked with Frank to get me my dream car! She never gave up on us, and she remained friendly and helpful at every step of the buying process! I really liked that she never made it feel like I was forced to buy something I didn't want to buy. Theodore was the person who helped us finish up all the paperwork at the end. He was friendly, he had a quirky sense of humor, and he explained everything truthfully and thoroughly. He didn't push us to purchase any services that we said we didn't want to buy. He was great! Come to Capitol Kia if you want a stress-free buying experience. I'm going to recommend this dealership to all my friends. Everywhere that I went I had no luck at all and if I did the numbers were just OUTRAGEOUS. The last place we tried was KIA, all this was pretty much done online. My husband explained our situation to her online and gave her an idea of what kind of vehicle we were looking for and she went out of her way and looked on her own and called us to come take a look at something that just came in. I was not going to go, just because I was tired of hearing a NO and nothing going through but I did and she put us in a VERY NICE SUV with super LOW APR and just took care of us in every way possible. I think Capitol Kia is GREAT and highly recommend them for purchasing a vehicle.

Wonderful experience. Recently bought an Optima SX with everything.Not pushing at all. Dave the sale manager even help me to get some rebates I am 'Semi-qualified' and a good APR as well. He directly gave me a price that no other dealer would offer. No hassle at all. Asked for another couple of hundreds off and get full set of accessories and we made a deal.Did some research on many forums and websites. The price I got is really a good deal and I only spend one hour and 3 emails to get it.He even picked me up from my home 15 miles away on Sunday.I originally went to Stevens Creek KIA since it's 2mins drive. I waited 10 mins in the lobby looking around other KIAs before someone actually speaks to me. The 'Senior KIA adviser', according to his card, David Suh, said they have sold out all Optima SX model and ask me to send him an email to keep in touch. Honestly this is the 1st time a sale person ask me to send an email. I did shoot him one and never got a reply. They only care about what's left on their parking lot. So disappointed.Anyway, highly recommend Capitol KIA over the Stevens Creek. They have a better inventory and the sale persons are really nice.

The best experience I had buying a car.Please read below about our horrible experience at Kia of Stevens Creek and the reason why we recommend Capitol Kia of San Jose.Capitol Kia initially did not have the car we wanted so we went to Kia of Stevens Creek. And what a horrible experience we had with them - The sales rep David Suh lied all along about the deal he had for us, his finance guy lied to us to get extra money on the deal by telling us that he can't offer us the 2.9% financing and wanted to offer us 4% instead. We went to their dealership several times only to be told to get add'l info. on every visit, they made us wait hours doing nothing. Finally we walked out from the dealership after waiting alomost 2 hours seeing them walk by us several times. By the way they seem to have only one sales guy.So we called Mr. Doshi again and asked him if he can get us the exact car we wanted from another dealership. We had also told him in advance how much we wanted to pay. He obliged and with help from Susana (his sales rep), he got the car for us and we picked it up last Friday. We were in and out of their dealership in less than an hour - all paperwork completed. I would recommend Mr. Doshi and Susana at this dealership to any one. No hard ball tactics, no going back and forth on the pricing - we wanted to pay a set price and they agreed - it was a win win situation.Great job Mr. Doshi and Susana.

I went here a month or so to look at a car I found on Cars.com. It seemed like a really great price and the pictures looked amazing. I must admit, I was skeptical, it looked very staged, but because I work right around the corner from the dealership, I figure I had nothing to loose. When I got there I was greeted by a female salesperson who was super nice and friendly, and really seemed to know about this particular model a quite rare Mustang Cobra SVT... Anyway, the car was great, and lived up to the pictures. I was there for a few hours, but I guess that's to be expected when buying a car, and haggling over the price. So I got the car and was super happy. The reason I felt compelled to write a review, which I rarely do unless I'm unhappy, was due to a problem the car had a month later. I took the car to their service center, and had a wondered if they were going to send me to Ford, or give me the normal run around. Not so, they helped me figure out the problem, and lent me a car to drive, plus even shared in the cost of fixing, it, which was a lot less than expected. Guess I should be a little nicer to car dealers after this experience. I'm impressed with their service and customer treatment. The place seems to be going through some remodeling, so it was a little cluttered and dusty, but the people are super nice.

We came to an "out the door" price while on the internet and they even lowered the price when we got to the lot. We drove 3 hours to capitol kia to make the deal even with a kia dealership only 4 miles from our home. I started looking for a car months ago on Edmunds.com, and took my time to narrow down my search to something in my budget and that was a good drive. I settled on a Kia Forte Koup. I sent out requests for quotes for the SX or EX in Black or Grey. They had both in both colors and quoted a decent price. I decided not to wait for the weekend when there are more people and went on Friday, which was a good move. Greg, The Internet Sales Manager, passed us off to Liz once we got there. She was friendly and answered all my questions promptly. It turns out my sister had met her in a former career, and they were busy talking about it during the test drive. Liz pointed out the features of the car and I agreed and told her I was aware of most of the specs of the EX and SX. I told them I was interested in the vehicle but was working on financing. I believe it was Greg who asked me what they'd have to do for me to buy it that day. I said come down in price and if they could come in under my monthly budget for a car payment. At which point their financing guy came out and we worked the numbers. They came down in price, I came up in down payment and they gave me a rate that fit my budget. During the paperwork they detailed the car and tossed in a few extra that usually other dealers nickel and dime you for. When I got home and added up the extras it was a few hundred dollars more worth of stuff.So the short of this is: Capitol Kia made the entire process of buying a new Kia about as pleasant as possible. They were willing to work within my budget and never tried to steer me to anything else. Liz made us feel very comfortable and after the sale took the time to go over all the cool features of the car including helping me set up the bluetooth sync to my phone. I don't think I could be any happier with the experience and Capitol Kia.

I accidentally sent the other one off before I finished. The sale was so easy. We needed to get out in an hour or so. In a little over an hour I had my car. Ability to make the deal I wanted. My sales lady was amazing.. friendly, helpful and available at all hours to meet our needs. Trade in and change over was so easy it was amazing! The amount of time that we spent in the office was so minimal I couldn't believe it! My children were ocupied with a kids area with a tv and coloring area.. could of been so hard if they were not happy. I drove all the way from Bakersfield (about 5 1/2 hours and it was worth it! I was even given amusement park tickets for my trip and we had a blast with the kids! I am seriously going to trade in my other cars to purchase my future cars from this dealership:)

They have a great customer service and they really know how to treat their customers right.
