I had trouble with used car dealers the few days before I came to CarLink. I was stressed out and anxious. When I walked in, Art greeted me and helped me with everything I needed. The buying process was simple and I was given more help than needed. I had a great conversation with another salesman, Hali. The people here are professional and courteous, helpful and kind. I will be purchasing every vehicle I need from here on out at CarLink. Again, Art and Hali are great. 6/5 stars.

Friendly, helpful, patient, and straightforward. The whole team made the car buying experience (which is not a top 10 favorite thing to do) easy and clear. The process flowed well, and I was super comfortable even though out of state and an hour away.

We bought our car and I came out of the car lot overly enthusiastic about the service that we had received. They put all other preowned car garages to shame as they seemed honest, enthusiastic and knowledgable. Chet was super helpful and friendly. On driving the car, the aircon didn't work, the back window didn't open and the foot brake wasn't working (this we knew when we bought it but agreed a reduction on the fee so we could get it fixed). The service that followed has been and continues to be atrocious. You have to phone up numerous times to get an answer and they NEVER call you back. We took that car back in to get the aircon, the window and the brake fixed, only the brake didn't get fixed. Chet disappeard whilst it was being fixed and nobody had a clue what the deal was. After our 21 days of temporary plates, the plates didn't arrive on time. Again Chet never called back to my repeated calling. We were 'guaranteed' that they would arrive. We still don't have them to date. This is a great place to go if you just need to buy a car. If you need them to actually 'do' something for you, forget it. It will take forever and you'll be on the phone every day trying to get them to view it as a priority.

Bought a new car Saturday, my husbands was dying and we needed to walk out with a car. I spoke to Rick prior and let him know our budget (he never tried to sell outside our budget, amazingly). Went there after a few other places and Rick was great. We bought a Jetta within an hour. We were unable to pick it up till Monday and he stayed late just for us. Seriously very happy here. Never felt we were being pushed and he was ready to bring every car over for us to look at. Definitely recommend buying a used car here.

I did some web research and narrowed the list to 2 vehicles. I tried visiting the sleazy competitor on a Friday evening, only to be told the car wasn't available to test drive. When I searched for them they had TERRIBLE reviews, but CarLink had good reviews. Saturday morning came and I visited CarLink. Everything that had gone wrong the night before, was turned around. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, they negotiated fairly, and even agreed to replace a windshield whose crack had been concealed by a window sticker. If I find myself shopping for a used vehicle, CarLink absolutely will be my go-to place. One bit of constructive feedback: they could sharpen up their skills at ensuring that follow-up tasks get done without needing reminders.

Great experience working with Steve - delivered exactly as was agreed in advance before making a road trip to consider a purchase. Also, very reasonable with negotiating. So called on the phone and negotiated a price for a vehicle with Steve. He told us this vehicle except for this one problem with the engine was fine and looked good inside and out. So we drove the five hours one way to go get the vehicle. Upon arriving to inspect the vehicle first thing we noticed was it looked like it was keyed all down the left side. Then find out the electrical system is faulty (car won't lock or unlock) trunk won't open, broken parts in the engine compartment. Getting into the car inside the leather seats are all torn up, interior panels and plastics are broken all over the place, upolstry stained like crazy and molding missing in places inside and outside of car. Also when pointing out all these problems in under a 15 minute inspection to them was given the line "Is what it is, take it or leave it." So all in all it was FAR FROM the description we were told over the phone and in online posting. Was told it looked great inside and out besides the one problem with the engine. Even two out of the three cars in their tiny showroom were beat (fiberglass on GTO all messed up, and paint peeling and worn off on the Subaru WRX). Take this into account before you drive far to look at their inventory. Wasted a whole 14 hour day driving through heavy traffic , plus gas. I think they expected since we were driving so far for the car we would just give in and buy it. If this is what they think a good car is worth what they were asking for it they must be out of their minds. Be prepared to be misled.

I have been searching for a reasonably priced CLEAN SUV with a 3rd row for 6 months. I went everywhere from PA, to NJ, to NY. I stumbled across CarLink and at first they didn't have anything that would work, but the people and the experience I had made me rave about them and want to buy a car from them. So I continued to look, but everyone had deceiving pictures and I had one bad experience after another with other dealerships having filthy cars that were over-priced. I checked back with CarLink and found a new arrival that looked perfect. I called and talked to Steve, reminded him I had met him and his wife recently and wanted to come see this 2002 Black Ford Explorer they had listed. He told me someone else was coming to look at another 2002 Blue Ford Explorer, but that he knew I would like this black one because it was so clean and he remembered how picky I was. So he said he wouldn't even show it to them and would hold it for me. I arrived an hour later, the SUV was perfect, I bought it and drove home with it that night within an hour. Very honest with great customer service. He even replaced a brake light on the spot. Will definitely buy more cars from them!

Chet, Steve and the Car link team made buying my Equinox painless. I was on a budget and alot of dealerships wouldn't even take me seriously. They helped get me into a beautiful SUV ! Have been in the market the last 3 months searching for a good 2nd vehicle for my growing family of 6. Stopped at over 10 dealerships and then stumbled upon CarLink. Was the best experience by far. Chet and Steve were extremely upfront and honest throughout the process. We worked a very good deal out for a 2008 Toyota Highlander with low miles. Been driving it for the past week and my wife and kids absolutely love it. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great deal on a good used car.

Carlink Autos provides a great experience for most car buyers. Owner Chester Van Doren is a respectable and very courteous individual to work with. He is an honest & straightforward salesman. However, when visiting this establishment be sure to ask for Chet's assistance as the other employees do not seem to share his enthusiasm for providing a great car buying experience. If at all possible avoid Steve, he came across as a blunt & relatively disrespectful seller. This car lot has a great deal of fantastic cars with straightforward pricing and information. However, if stuck with the worse of the two sellers the situation can deteriorate rather quickly. Be mindful who you get your help from.

I recently visited car link where I was greeted by an extremely friendly father and son duo. I first spoke with the father who was helpful and pointed me in the direction of his son who was inside and awaiting my arrival. It had been snowing after some productive small talk we hopped into the car I had called asking about prior. Being a good salesman and having a great honest personality is something all car sales should be, but most lack. The son while driving with me was extremely honest and the cars was priced extremely fair. They even threw in new brakes and full service after we agreed on a price. If you are anywhere near the area of caldwells or within 50 miles and need a reliable car from someone you can trust go see Chet and his cars!!! 10/10

Carlink is probably the most honest and easy to deal with dealer in the East Coast. After several searches we saw a car we liked, called for information, Chet answered and said it is still available We had a little chat, he let us try that and a couple of other cars. We decided to go for a ford edge and trade in ours. He valued our car more then anyone one else and he wasn't trying to oversell us anything. They don't really barge on their prices but that is because they don't charge any fees. The only thing they charge is state tax and tags. Highly recommend to go here to purchase a used car. Even if they don't have the exact brand you're looking for (bc they're a small family dealer) I still suggest to go take a look of what they have and try, you won't be disappointed. I was amazed at how knowledge able the owner, Chet VanDoren, was. He was able to answer all our questions without hesitation. He truly "heard" what we were saying when describing what we were looking for. The selection on the lot was amazing, basically something for everyone. He kept us update on his search for us and found the perfect car for our son. The credit process, loan and everything we needed was handled in a professional and friendly way. I had been looking around for a diesel pickup truck to replace my SUV. I was all set to buy a vehicle locally and I decided to look around and see what else there was. I had an appointment in Union county so I searched Cars.com for vehicles in a short radius. After several disappointing visits to larger dealerships, I came upon CarLink. I was initially not expecting much once I saw the size of the dealership and its independent ownership. But I found what I was looking for, a good condition diesel truck at a good price with the features I wanted. It was clean but not in that false super clean/trying to hide something kinda way. I was able to look the vehicle over thoroughly and wasn't bothered by anyone until I introduced myself. I met Chet's dad (sorry I forgot your name!) who was very nice and handed me over the keys. He was nice enough to give me directions around the area so that I could try out the truck under a variety of conditions. He let me drive alone (rare at the big dealerships anymore) and I was hooked. He told me his son runs the dealership and that he would be back later on so I exchanged information and went to my appointment promising a return. Upon that return, I was met with another surprise, Chet was a much younger man than I expected. Again, prejudging in the same way when I saw the dealership, I was skeptical. After a few minutes speaking with Chet, I was passed that skepticism. He was friendly, in no rush to sell me a vehicle and put a great offer on my trade right away. I was impressed with his knowledge of different vehicles and, being a former mechanic and car nut myself, even chatted cars for a few minutes. A few short pieces of paperwork later and I was the proud owner of a slightly used truck. Extremely smooth transaction, friendly pair of guys and all together great experience. Neither guys felt like car salesmen and made everything very comfortable. Probably my best dealer experience yet, and I buy a lot of vehicles. They even make good use of their very limited space. I recommend to everyone reading this to put aside prejudices over the smaller location and the young owner and you will be rewarded with a great vehicle at a great price with non of the stress related B.S. you get from the large dealerships. I've been looking for a car for a few months now. I tried a few other dealerships, and they were terrible. On a whim, I decided to check out CarLink's 2006 Hyundai Elantra. Chet and Craig did a great job making me feel comfortable and did everything to make sure I got what I was looking for. They have good cars at good and fair prices. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They honestly care about treating their customers with respect, not just about bringing home a big paycheck.

After an accident I needed a reliable car that would get good gas mileage. Due to my working and parking in some heavy urban areas I didnt want to buy anything too expensive. Saw two good possibilities with CarLink, tested both and settled on an '04 Accord coupe. Nice price, very knowledgeable staff and a quick turnaround time. They also did a full brake service of pads and rotors. Love the car and will definitely recommend CarLink to people.

CarLink in Caldwell is the only place I go to get cars for myself and my family. The selection of used cars is great and the condition of the cars is excellent. I dealt with Chet and Craig who were honest and easy to deal with. The process is not high pressure sales, but rather trying to find the right car for my needs and in my price range. I highly recommend CarLink!
