My experience at Chapman was good. Helpful staff and very good at showing me all the features of the car. The finance part was a bit frustrating after the fact, and partly my fault for not thoroughly reading since I paid for a warranty I thought was already included in the purchase price...Otherwise everything went perfect. And boy do I love my G80!

Arrived at the Dealership, fairly certain of my decision to buy out my lease on a 2013 Elantra and had a choice not to do so. I was shown why this was not the best choice I could make for my particular situation. We have purchased vehicles from this dealer in the past and that's why we keep coming back. The entire sales staff and including service department are friendly and helpful. Rafael Felix is extremely knowledgeable as well as patient in explaining the operation of all the new updated features. He walked me thru and showed me how to turn on the guidance features (and turn them off if they drive me crazy) as well as other stuff I would need to know like the door lock selection options and just a lot of other stuff. He also took the time to par my phone to the vehicle. He is truly a blessing. There is just so much stuff I don't understand with the new technology but he took the extra time to explain things to me so I would understand.

I had been looking into buying/leasing a Genesis Coupe 3.8l for months. I didn't think it was a reality but my car that I ended up trading in started to go out part by part. I had run the number months back and it didn't seem like a feasible option. I decided to go back to looking one last time so I called ahead and asked if they had the car I wanted, they didn't but they said they could get it from a different dealership. I had already test driven the 2016 Genesis Coupe so I knew I loved the car. Everyone who worked with me did what they could to make it possible for me to get the car I've always wanted. They checked up on me before and even after I got the car to make sure I still loved it and didn't have any issues. The few issues I did have (cosmetic problems from the dealership they got the car in from) they fixed right away and are still in contact with me about any issues I do have. Definitely recommend Chapman Hyundai over all the other Hyundai dealerships I had visited. I had gone to 3 other Hyundai dealers and I didn't feel important at any of them. Even though I am young, Chapman Hyundai treated me like they did any other customer and didn't shrug me off as 'some kid' which happened to me at all the other dealers. All in all it was easier than I thought it would be. They made it very painless and inviting.

I was looking for a used but dependable vehicle. I was referred by a family member but went online to see what my options were. The application was simple online and I was approved in minutes. I chose 3 vehicles and spoke with the rep about each one. I was very clear on what I was looking for - price range, payments, etc. and Mike had it all worked out before I got there and had the car waiting for me to test drive. The longer portion was waiting to see the finance person and signing but everything else went pretty smooth. If you see something online, be specific when you get to the dealership and take your time. If a dealership gives you a deadline to purchase or get a certain price, then go somewhere else. Do what's best for you and your situation. Also, pay attention to the ** on the prices and read the description. Two weeks later, I recommended this dealership to my daughter based on my experience and she walked away with a brand new car as well. They recently called her back to let her know they were able to lower her payments -that's great news to have, especially before your first payment is due!

I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Veloster non turbo in an automatic and came back this month in September a year later to purchase the turbo in a 6-speed manual. I could not possibly imagine anyone buying a different product with only a 36000 mile warranty and not the 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, in the 100000 mile powertrain warranty that Hyundai offers. Chapman Hyundai provides excellent service and does not pressure in any way shape or form with a no-brainer to go there. I will absolutely in two years go back to Chapman Hyundai and by my next vehicle for those very reasons.

My sales person was Rafael Felix. This is the second Santa Fe purchased with his assistance. If it wasn't for Rafael I would not buy my cars at Chapman Hyundai. He is not pushy. He listens to my needs and goes out of his way to meet as many of my "wish list" wants and needs as possible. Little things such as paring my phone, taking the plastic wrap off of components, installing my license plate that would take me time come as almost second nature to him. In my opinion, he is the SALESMAN of the YEAR!! As good as Rafael is, the Finance group is the exact opposite. After a signed contract, due to Johnny Rodriquez error, I was forced to accept a deal that is costing me more money. Also whether it was Johnny or JP, someone dropped the ball and I received a call from Hyundai Finance that I would be sent to Collections since I had not paid my monthly installment loan on the car that I traded in. Next time I decide to buy a car, I definitely will have to think twice if I want to work with a Finance group that should be rated a minus 10!

When I got to the dealership he asked me what I was looking for in a car and what was important to me. When walking around the lot he showed me cars that had the things I wanted. I was really happy when I saw the Hyundai Veloster. I loved the car and it had everything I wanted. We took it for a test drive and I fell in love with the car. The next part was getting the numbers to work. Well I have to say they did a good job with that as well. They gave me a good trade in for my car, kept my payments where I wanted it, and got my interest rate way down. I couldn't be happier. Mike even called me a couple of times to see how I was liking my car and to see if I had any questions or concerns. I have bought many cars and no one ever called to see if I had any other questions. I'm a single mom and a teacher, so decisions I make impact myself and children. He took his time answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. My experience at Chapman Bell was okay. Not fantastic because I was shocked that their online advertisement for price was not even remotely close to how much they charged me. Online offered $2500 in rebate and they originally gave me only $500, and that was with trading in my car. I tried backing out so I could save more money to put down, and they lowered the price some. I feel like I overpaid for my vehicle and my monthly insurance price almost quadrupled now. The salesman insisted that one of the reasons why the 2017 elantra is so great is because how cheap insurance on it would be. Well, it's not. It's actually more than what my dad is paying for the same insurance on his New 2016 Ford F150 which I think is ridiculous. I'm still happy that I have a new car, but I'm very upset with myself for folding under the salesmans pressure to buy that day.

We purchased a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 in October of 2015 for my wife. The sales representative, Celso Leizarry was very professional and attentive to our requirements regarding the type of vehicle we .wanted and the price guidelines we had outlined. Due to those reasons, I returned to Chapman Hyundai May of 2016 and discussed what I was looking for with Celso Leizarry. I had a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE that I purchased in July of 2015.I had several issues with my Camry, none of which could be corrected by the warranty. Since my Camry was only 10 months old, I knew trading it in would be costly, so basically my objective was to see what my best options would be in the future once my Camry was paid down. Celso took the time to go through his entire inventory to see if there was a miracle deal to be found. As luck would have it, the dealership received a 2016 Hyundai Genenis sedan the day before. This particular did not have all the options available, but it did have everything I wanted. Celso worked very diligently with the finance manager to get me every dollar he could for my trade in in addition to obtaining every allowance Hyundai had to offer. The bottom line is Celso was successful in making it possible for me to lease this 2016 Hyundai Genenis at a payment I was very comfortable with.

I have been GM customer for 40 years and I was so disappointed with the quality, performance and unusual maintenance issues with the car that I had to go into an entirely different car brand, I did my research and the even though it is early I have been pleased with it's performance.

This is the 3rd Sonata I have owned and very impressed with the improvements. It is a much quieter and smoother ride with excellent gas mileage. I especially love the Apple Play and the navigation system. Each day I get a new and pleasant surpise as I learn about the features of the built in technology. Of course you can't beat the warranty. I feel that Justin and Rev did a great job of answering my questions and following up on the details.

Buying a new vehicle is at the bottom of my want to do list but in this case was a necessity due to my vehicle being in an accident and totaled. I tried going thru my company's auto program but the dealership (Camelback Hyundai) didn't have what I was looking for so they did some research to find me a dealership that did have it (i.e, Chapman). However, when I got there the actual vehicle was not there (the ultimate package one was but that is not what I wanted - plus, according to the website they showed they had it but didn't)...I was disappointed and started to head out when the manager came and asked if he could get the vehicle could I come back and then test drive it? I said yes, and that's what we did...they (Chapman) went out of their way to acquire the exact vehicle I was looking for and Zak made sure to communicate with me the status and arrival time to come back to test drive. So, I appreciate the effort to get me the vehicle I wanted....

Our experience was terrific. Time was taken to allow everything to sink in and think through...no rushing or cajoling. The salesman Justin Creasy showed us several models. My husband wanted a Sonata right off the bat. I wanted an Elantra GT. 16 years ago we purchased an Accent and an Elantra GLS both cars served us extremely well. We also purchased them at Chapman Hyundai, so we were return purchasers. Good for two should be good for three. We weren't wrong either. It wasn't until after I actually drove the Sonata that I truly appreciated the vehicle. And to Justin's credit he let me have a really nice long drive so I could really get the feel of the vehicle. After that it was paperwork time....yes I was dreading it originally but it wasn't a drudge at all. Everything we discussed or wanted to look at was presented to us in writing. Everything was up front and clearly exhibited with all possible extensions of time. One thing I really would like to mention is that at no time was anyone pushing a pen in our faces to sign something with things only vaguely scribbled on a page before us. EVERYTHING was clearly printed (from a computer) so there was no doubt as to what you were reading. Each time we spoke of another negotiation or idea we had a fresh sheet in front of us reflecting EXACTLY what we had been discussing, in finite detail. Nothing being left vague or unclear was extremely important to me. Each time we went back and forth I never once felt that they were getting irritated with us. They really wanted us to get the car with the payment that we wanted. We had stated the target we had in mind and they busted themselves backwards to meet and exceed that goal. By the time we were finished with this portion and went on to Steve in Finance the only thing left to do were the signatures on the paperwork. I would/will highly recommend any to #1 Buy a Hyundai, any Hyundai, #2 Purchase it from Chapman Hyundai and #3 Ask for Justin Creasy he will take really good care of you...and your car purchasing experience can be as awesome as ours was.

They got back to me quickly and made themselves available to answer the 1000 questions I had. They were both was very knowledgeable, respectful, and attentive. Since I live out of state, I flew to this dealership and met with Tony to buy the car. Tony took the time to explain the ins and outs of the vehicle I was buying. This was my 2nd dealing with Chapman Hyundai and I am so glad that I decided to go to this dealership rather than the one in Scottsdale. In May 2015 I had an older car which was breaking down and leaving in no mans land. I called with Hyundai dealers and Tim Mitchell told me he would beat the price of the Scottsdale dealership so I drove the 35 minute drive and I am so glad I did. Since my credit had issues I was sure that I would not get approved for a brand new car, but Tim and JP did their magic and I got a 2015 Elantra. Both of these gentlemen told me to back payments for a year, come back and I would be able to trade and interest would be lower. Well I did not wait a full year but 6 months and now am in a 2016 Elantra loaded with a sun roof, bush button start and many other features and to boot they worked their magic again because I was only to get the car at a interest rate that was 8 points lower than when I came in May, did not have to put any money down and will not have to pay any balance from the 2015 Elantra.The service was fantastic. Tim and I have now become friends and Jeff did an excellent job with financing. The entire dealership is very professional and really cares about the consumer.. My husband and I live in Kingman and have a Hyundai dealership there but will be driving down to Chapman for all future cars.When you think of a 5 star business, THINK CHAPMAN at Bell Road!!!!!

I contacted Chapman Hyundai in Phoenix as I live in Cottonwood to inquire on a brand new Elantra. Mike Cialdella answered the phone and I'm glad he did, I couldn't have asked for a better salesman to assist me. He answered all of my questions over the phone, emailed me pictures of the car from his cell phone and we handled all of my details in a professional manner as we joked around in the mix as well. I originally planned on going down to Phoenix to purchase the vehicle but Mike went above and beyond and offered to drive it up here to Cottonwood himself!!! Make made it up with no problems, took care of all of the paperwork work with me in the comfort of my own home and went over the entire vehicle with me as I am a bit older and its hard for me to understand the new technology in these cars. I submitted an inquiry to Chapman Hyundai to possibly help my situation. Before contacting Mike I visited another dealership (Camelback Hyundai) and knowing my situation I knew it was a long shot. Camelback Hyundai did their speal of oh yea we can make a car deal and I trusted them. Long story short drove 20 minutes sat for almost 5 hours and with nothing. They also promised gas in return for me coming but didn't do that either. This is not the case with Chapman Hyundai, Mike is a world class individual and was actually truthful with me and said with your current situation and with what you want we won't be able to do what you want. He saved me gas and time and if I ever want to purchase a Hyundai in the future I will definitely go to him and his people.

I was guaranteed a certain interest rate and reduced GAP insurance but when it came to contract time, the interest rate went up and so did the GAP insurance. Chapman Hyundai's, financial manger, Dean, spent over an hour after 6:00Pm on June 21st, Sunday, discussing prostate cancer and treatment effects (no erection), being abused as a child, foster care, high school sweetheart, marraige, divorce guns,... We were distracted but did sign the paperwork. Items to be included per our agreement with the salesman, Jason, weren't. I had an appointment with Jason at 1:00 Monday. I was sitting at Jason's desk when I learned we were duped and started crying (nose and eyes were running). I composed myself, left the building and sat in the car. I saw Jason come outside and went to talk to him. We were approached by 6 foot plus salesman, Alex, who said I was disturbing the customers and if I did not leave they were calling the police. I said take your car back then and Alex said it's yours now. Not one other customer was there. I sat in my car and waited 35 minutes, no police came. I expected some type of apology and when no one contacted me I called the dealership on Thursday and spoke with Sales Manager Frankie Reese. He said this was the first he had heard of the incident. Later, he said that I had acted erratic and was running to customers and telling them not to buy Hyundai. I asked if he looked at the video because that was a lie. He said he contacted the 3 people involved and they all said the same thing. Grace's father died of prostate cancer. Grace felt she was talking to an inmate with Dean's life story. Zane is a retired US Navy veteran.

He was also very patient as we took numerous vehicles for a test drive before deciding on the Sonata. The General Manager and the Finance team (J.P.) were great! We really appreciated that there were no silly games and that everybody told us exactly what they could do and then....they actually did it! We have purchased at this dealership in the past, but after our 2011 purchase we were sure we wouldn't return. We are so happy we decided to stop by. When I am putting down $6500 on a new car, with a trade-in, I expect to see some value on the back end with regards to the auto I am purchasing, not to walk out with a "deal" no more beneficial than the 1st attempted offer from the dealership. I called Chapman Hyundai Monday 2/23/2015 and told them that my car was running slightly warmer and I kept smelling antifreeze and I was getting a belt squeal every morning when I 1st start up the motor and its started doing it after the water pump was replaced by Larry Miller Hyundai about 10.000 miles ago I complained about it to Larry Miller Hyundai and they didn't care so I called and told Chapman what was happening and took it to them I dropped of my Hyundai at about 8:30 pm on 2/25/2015 filled out the paper as to what my car was there for this is what I wrote water pump leaking and left front axel vibrating my car is still under warrant when I dropped it off it had 97611 miles close to 100000 which that's the end my warranty I get a call the next day around 3:30 pm from Kaleb Fox and he starting telling all the things wrong with my car after they did a multi-point inspection and tried to sell me all this unnecessary work that he said needed to be done to my car never once said anything about the water pump and if it was leaking instead I was told that my upper and lower bypass hoses were leaking and I needed to replace my thermostat and gasket and the radiator cap and said the squeal sound was coming from after market belts that I had installed on my car and to replace with factory belts and that would fix my car but I was not there to have all these things replaced by them at a cost of 2,438.12 when nothing is wrong with all those parts you see I have a friend who is a mechanic and I had just took it to him and he looked it over just before I took Chapman just to make sure I would not be screwed over and they tried and after Kaleb Fox told me all this of course I said no on the repairs and then I was told about the left axel and it was bad and was quoted a really high price to repair and I got a little ticked off because the car was still under warranty and why was he trying to sell me a axel when he knew the car was still under warranty because of all the bull crap inspecting that was done and not fixed I had to leave the only car for a another day and they knew it was still under warranty and they had plenty of time to fix when I dropped if off the night before and that was the whole reason I dropped it off so I could have the car back Thursday so because of Chapman trying to sell me unnecessary repairs I was out my car for longer than it should have been and that's not all after I pickup my car I had it for a few days before I discovered that when they put my timing cover back together and the plastic cover that sits on top of my motor they put longer bolts on it with less threads so they bottom out before it tightens up 1 in the plastic cover over the motor and 2 in the timing cover that hold a mounting bracket in place on the back left side of the motor and when I contacted Chapman about this I left a message and I never got a call back a week went by and someone finally contacted me but it had nothing to do with what I had called them about and when I ask again about what they did they lied and said that they never worked on that part of the motor but wait the paper work states that they checked and Inspected the serpentine drive belts and the only way they can do this is to remove the timing cover and the plastic cover that sits on the motor so what kind of mechanic do they have working there and for them to out and out lie about work done and I was also told by Kaleb over the phone after I asked if they checked the water pump which you have to remove the timing cover to inspect and I asked if they checked the hydraulic timing belt tighter too and I was told that the mechanic did check and they found nothing wrong with the water pump leaking and that was the main reason I took it to Chapman so are they just lying and never check all these things! I took in for those repairs or are they just lying to protect the damage that has been done to my motor because the bolts they used are to long and may have damaged the side of my motor when they tighten down the bolts with a air wrench! I am sure the bolts did damage my block because the bolt did not have enough thread when they installed them I am sure that side of my block is damaged and since its on my paper work that states they did do work it that area because they checked the serpentine drive belt so are just lying about all of the work done no because I know for a fact nothing was wrong with the bracket that holds the plastic cover on because I replaced the spark plugs 3 months ago and you have to remove it to change the spark plugs and when I remove the plastic cover the bracket was tight not lose and when I put back together it was tight so I know for a fact Chapman is lying to protect them selves so anybody that has any work done you should check and make sure it was put back together right and don't believe them if they say this needs fixed or that need fixed and make sure the part is under warrant or you will be charged to replace it.

Never in my life have I experienced a more easier and courteous car buying experience. Chapman Hyundai did just that. From the start, Tim Mitchell treated me with so much respect and had awesome service. He made it his goal to get me into a car that suited me at a payment that is reasonable. Don't believe internet price quotes, email price quotes, or price quotes via phone from this dealership. I had documentation of price quotes for specific model (Sonata Limited) with no other added options and when we got to the dealership they would not honor! Unbelievable! In addition, we had a Truecar certificate for their dealership they would not honor! Why quote a price you have no intention of selling the car for? Not only did this happen to us, but to a friend as well which we found out after we told them our story!

Don't buy a car here & DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM PAULO PENA!Long story short, me & my fiance were in the market for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata limited. This one had 44k miles & we were directly told by Paulo that the tires were new, brakes were new &he went into "reconditioning fees" &that's what the fees were for. The tires aren't new, Paulo's answer - "I said they look like new" (which he didn't, he said they ARE new). Then about the brakes. .. "i never said that" YELLS Paulo. He literally screamed me out of the parking lot! We should have gone to Auto nation Hyundai Tempe they had the same car (with full leather -not half/half cloth -, 31k miles opposed to 44k, same price & NEW TIRES, BRAKES, ETC). BIG MISTAKE but we were tired of going all over for the best deal &just wanted a car. Don't even waste your time going to that dealership!!! Never buy anything from a chapman dealership esp chapman hyundai on bell Rd & 7th Ave.

Yesterday was the first time I took in my 2013 Accent for routine maintenance to Chapman Hyundai. (I had recently purchased the car from Enterprise used car sales.) I was in a tough spot do to some terrible credit situations that I had not expected. Do to my credit score I was down to a buy here/pay here scenario today. Brought my 2007 Sonata in for a no start problem. Service fixed the problem then with a labor only charge of $85. I asked for an oil change which was $24.99 and the total bill was $128.00. Talked to the service manager who gave me a ton of double talk about hazard fees and shop fees that were never disclosed. Make sure you get all the facts before you approve service.

On July FOURTH, I went to a well-known local car dealer and test drove TWO cars, one I liked and one I liked a LOT.I would have bought one, but they started pressuring me on a financing "deal", which just didn't conform to my desires.When I stated that I would provide my own financing, they effectively bumped up my price by $1000.I ended up just walking out on them. Kind of like a Seinfeld episode.Since I had to work the next day (Sat.), I didn't think that I would have a chance to do any car shopping.I did a few "wishful thinking" searches of cars.com.I found two Hyundais that looked interesting and called Chapman Hyundai on Bell to see how late they would be open.After work (about 5:20 pm), I visited the Chapman Hyundai Mazda dealership.I actually looked at FOUR cars. Three of the cars were very nice, but not exciting.Then I looked at the 2011 Elantra, which was quite a gem. I took it for a substantial test drive and it was FUN.It won my heart.I told my salesman about my earlier bad experiences at the prior dealer and they took many steps to put me at ease.The car I liked had only been added to their inventory a couple days earlier. It was less expensive and more fully featured than the cars I walked away from the day before.The price was within my budget and the financing terms were within my comfort zone.I drove the Elantra home that evening and have enjoyed it every day since then.Thanks, Chapman!!

I have a 2010 Hyundai Sonata with only 40,000 miles that has received regular maintenance and has no indications of having problems. Every single time I take it in for a regular oil change, the Chapman service center wants to do $600-$2,000+ worth of work on it. I purchased a newer car to avoid spending large sums on repairs. Either this dealer is unethical and unscrupulous or a Hyundai is a piece of junk if I can't go 3,000 miles without needing $600+ worth of work. I'll NEVER buy another Hyundai!!!

I love the service department at Chapman Hyundai. They are honest and fair priced. Jamie is awesome. She made sure all of my needs were met and kept me updated with findings and changes needed on my vehicle. They always complete my oil change in a timely manner along with giving my car a "bath" and leaving me with a nice little gift box of candy in my drink holder. They go above and beyond to make sure I feel like an important and valued customer.Although the Sales department is horrible, I will always take my vehicles to the service department for repairs and upkeep.

After speaking with the Service director Matt Trader, I now understand why they have such poor customer service. I have spent over 30K in the past ten years with Chapman and must say I have never been treated so poorly in my life.I brought my Hyundai Santa Fe in for an oil change and asked them to check out a headlight that was not working. I explained that I bought an 8 dollar light bulb, replaced it, and the light still was not working. The service guy tries to tell me that I replace the wrong light bulb and charged me 60 bucks! Ok Maybe I am an idiot and dont know a burnt light bulb when I see one (dont think so but I like to pick my battles), but 60 bucks?Jason then told me that I needed front and back brakes. I asked him which was worse front or back. He replied back and I authorized him to replace them. While driving home I noticed a horrible vibration when applying my breaks, so I brought them back. Jason first told me it was because they rotated my tires. (I dont think so) Then he tries to tell me that it was because my front breaks needed replacing. Please keep in mind that I had no vibration when I went in to Chapman, so why after replacing the back breaks do I have a vibration? Out of the goodness of their heart FREE of Charge they turned the rotors on my front breaks and the vibration went away. LolWell I drove from Chapman to Just brakes and they confirmed my suspicions. When turning the back rotors, they did not test drive the car and gave it back to me. Rather than admitting to me what really happened, they try to make me think that it was my Front brakes causing the vibration. When I called the Sales director, to tell him what happened, he was quite arrogant and was worse then his customer service rep. Good service starts with good leadership, and the service director was quite a piece of work.Lesson well learned! NEVER will give Chapman a dime of my money again.

I took my Elantra in for an oil change and tire rotation. In all my years of owning a car (which is well over 30 years), this is the first dealership that really does provide A+ customer service. Even though it was only an oil change and tire rotation, Jaime made me feel as if I was as important as any other customer that walks through their doors. They did provide a free car wash, which isn't unusual with dealerships nowadays, but they actually wiped down the inside of my car as well. I know I've only had my new Elantra for 6 months, but so far I'm very impressed with their service department. Thank you for a great experience.

I bought my Hyundai in 2001 and have had very little trouble with it. Jaime Hayna is the service consultant I work with and she is always very friendly and competent. I was in to the service dept last Friday and while I was sitting and waiting for my car, I was talking with 2 other women. They both had expressed that the only reason they have their cars serviced there is because of Jaime. I told them she was the reason I get my car serviced there also, even though the dealership on Camelback is right down from my work. I wouldn't change for the world. I had my drivers side light put in last Friday and on Sunday realized even though the light had been installed, my blinker and parking light beside it did not now work. I gave Jaime a call and she worked me in as soon as I had time available from work. She apologized and said they would take care of it quickly, which they did today. I will be considering a new car this year, most likely another Hyundai and will make sure it is Jaime I go to. Mr. Pena was a very professional and helpful salesman in negotiating the sale of a much better, more wanted vehicle and worked very hard to make the experience as comfortable and quick as possible. I feel he went out of his way to make us happy (highly recommended), Mr. Lenocker was very knowledgeable and helpful with my service. He kept me up to date as far as progress of my vehicle and kept me posted as soon as there was a change. Again highly recommended. DeeAnn body shop (great). She showed me things not covered by warranty that should be addressed and gave me a quick, fare estimate and even tried to fix one of the real bad scratches while I waited. I brought my Sonata in for recall of stoplight switch. They claimed to have inspected my car and told me that I needed my rear brakes replaced because the pads were less than 3mm remaining. They also wanted to replace the transmission fluid, coolant and power steering fluid at a cost of $250 for brakes and total cost of approx. $800. A couple of weeks later, I went to a local chain specializing in brakes and they quoted a price of better than $100 less. Much to my surprise after spending about an hour of their and my time, they took me over to my car and showed me that my rear brakes had better than 5mm of pad left and I DID NOT NEED ANY BRAKE SERVICE AT ALL! For this inspection they charged $0. Nothing! Needless to say Hyundai did not offer to show me the worn pads. (most likely because they did not exist). This only leaves the two explanations: Their service dept. is grossly incompetent, and/or they are dishonest and looking to generate income with false warnings about dangerous brake issues. My guess is both.

I brought my 2007 Sonata in for some work and was informed about a leaky valve cover gasket. The good news was that it was covered under warranty at 90K. Fast forward 9/10 months later and I have 104K on the car now and I was informed by a 3rd party repair shop that I again have a leaky valve cover gasket. Took it back to Chapman and they confirmed that it was indeed leaking but they couldn't cover under cars original warranty (100K) or the party warranty 12 mos OR 12K which ever comes first. Unfortunately, I wasn't in need of any services that would have uncovered the valve cover gasket until I needed work done and this is how I found out. Sadly, I contacted both HyundaiUSA and the dealer (service mgr) and basically they said it was up to the other party to give their blessing for "goodwill". This didn't happen either. Valve cover gaskets typically last 8-10 yrs or even the life of the car so this is not a part that goes bad very often. Still I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for a new gasket ($630 est from Chapman) after only 9-10 mos driving. This is the first time I have ever had an issue with the dealer/Hyundai. I am now going to have it repaired much cheaper at an ASE 3rd party that I have had success with in the past. Sad, that even though this is my 2nd Hyundai and 2nd Sonata it might just be my last. They are not under any legal obligation to take care of me but...if I were doing business with a "mom n pop" shop, I'm sure they would have taken care of this. There is just no legitamite reason why a valve cover gasket should go bad after such a short time and can't afford to go through this every 9/10 months. I really feel let down by both Hyundai and Chapman. btw, the only person who has power in a situation like this is Hyundai's district parts manager and good luck with getting to speak with him. Hyundai has a weird way of taking care of people who have been loyal customers in the past. The car has been exceptional and had no previous bad experiences at this dealer for this car. One more thing, HyundaiUSAs customer service dept, unfortunately, has no teeth and is only good for logging a complaint, praise, or need information.

7/25/13 date of occurrence, 1pm - 3:30pm I owned this car since 1/15/98.I am a single female boomer. I was looking to buy a used Hyundai. My first visit was not very productive but my 2nd was a disaster. The second time I went in I had made an apt. The sales rep himself was pleasant and informative as he could be (Rafael Felix). He keep trying to get me to get a new car or to lease a new car. I thought ok so I will check it out. My current vehicle is a 1996 Hyundai, with 64,500 original miles on it. The car's a/c works fine as does the heater and I have a column on the steering wheel lock. This is not to imply that my car is in mint running condition, but it is certainly not ready to give out today. There are no dings or dents although it could use a coat of paint. Does need CV boots and brake pads. It so happened that I did have a tire that was flat and I was using the doughnut. I go in to meet with the car sales man that I had the appointment with. He really wanted me to check out the new cars. I really wanted a used Hyundai about 2 years old with less than 30,000 miles on it but I thought what harm could there be in lQQking.I gave him my car keys for the guy to give me an estimate. He made me sign a paper of consent to get the appraisal which I said up front if there is a charge for the appraisal don't do it (I also wrote this on the paper prior to signing it.. And off we went for a test drive, I actuallydid test drive two cars then we returned to the sales room. My car keys were still not returned to me I had to ask for them. I felt like I was being held captive as the salesman and I sat there with him trying to draw numbers out of me and me getting more and more paranoid by the second. Now after finally getting my keys back, the salesman advised that I should seriously consider leasing. I have never leased a car in my life and have no clue as to what it even entails. I was now wondering how much I would get on my trade and maybe it would be possible for me to get a new car. I ask for the amount of trade (Keeping in mind, I had seen other dealership offer $3,000 for a trade in if the car was running or not.The sales manager (not the salesman) after what seemed live forever) actually in a written quote offered $100 (one hundred dollars and no cents). Now I can see (2 hours down the road) we are getting no where and with this quote I wanted out, NOW. The sales man tries to lay a guilt trip on me for not buying a new car. As I get up to leave he wants to introduce to his sales manager which I wanted NO part of and so stated. He lost me at the trade in quote. Now I go outside to find that aside from my donut on the drivers side of my car I have a flat tire on the passenger side. The sales manager and sales man evidentially saw I reached the end of my rope and if they did not put air in my tire (which I honestly think was let out of the tire while I was inside) I was going to call the cops. The sales man goes in and gets this portable air what ever and fills the tire full of air while the sales manager actually goes outside it is over 100+ temp and tries to talk me into a deal while I am waiting to get air put into my tire so I can get out of there.The next day I am thinking I have to take my car in and buy some tires so I go to Discount tires on 43Ave and lo and behold, the manager tested all of my tires as he said they all looked low and none were consistent with the air pressure. I asked if he found this odd, he said he most certainly did. So, now I am thinking WTF. Discount Tires tells me originally he thought I might need a new tire where the donut was but after checking out all 4 tires none of them had to be replaced. I almost fainted. He told me to stop by any time for a free air check. I asked what was the charge and God is good, NO CHARGE. Score in my book, Chapman dealership ZERO, Discount tires 100+.

I used Chapman Auto Body shop for repairs on the right front fender and bumper on my 2008 Mazda CX-7. The repairs took 3 days to complete and upon inspection, several parts were ill fitting or unattached. The skirt under the fender was loose and the support tabs were broken. The corner molding was loose, as well. The belly plate was loose and was not attached to the bumper properly. Within 3 days of picking up my vehicle, I began to hear noises coming from the front end. I returned to Chapman to have the affected areas looked at to see if that was the cause of the noises. They fixed the skirt and the belly plate but told me the corner molding was "loose on the other side" and that's why it was loose on the repaired side. Overall, it was sub-par workmanship and an unsatisfactory response to my concerns. They test drove the car to listen for the noises and upon return, told me it was not from loose parts but from my CV joint. I drove the car home and went to Cardinale Way Mazda the next morning when I learned the noise was from loose lug nuts on my front left wheel. Only 2 of the 5 were present and my wheel nearly fell off. The wheel had wobbled to the extent that the holes were bored out and oblong. One of the studs was broken off and the others were beyond repair. Cardinale Way replaced the hub and studs and used my spare tire as the original wheel was unsafe for use. DeeAnn at Chapman Auto Body denied any responsibility stating they never touched the wheels. I returned to Chapman Mazda and was told that Chace Gibbs was the General Manager over the body shop. When I informed him of the situation, he was rude and condescending. He laughed and denied any responsibility for the damages. As a result of their negligence and misdiagnosis, the repairs cost $960 ($375 for the hub replacement, $525 for a new wheel, $40 to remove the tire from the original and re-mount on the new wheel, and $20 for the TPS sensor). Buyer beware! Save yourself a headache and choose another dealership. Absolute WORST experience I have ever had with a dealer owned body shop.

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I have had to return to the dealership 4 times in the first 30 days to re-sign paperwork. The last time they failed to submit it in time for the lender to finalize it even though they swore it would be in on time. Now almost 40days into this process they still don't know if I have a deal and their ability to drag their feet when following up with me is astounding. My trade in is now past due because they can't get their communications straight and my credit is worse off now from this whole ordeal then it was after my divorce. I've been told more then once by their staff that they dropped the ball and every time they seem to find it amusing. I have been put through the ringer both financially and mentally from this experience. Buying a used car should not take 40 days and and dozens of phone calls just to find out that the dealer dropped the ball on closing the deal and now I have to bring the car back. Oh and I forgot to mention, I was approved by capital one when this started, after the 30 days of pure crap they have pulled my score has dropped low enough that capital one now will not finance me. This because they waited to long to submit the final papers, now requiring an additional pull on my credit bureau. I will never do business with this company again.

Beware of this dealership. They either have inexperienced staff or are trying to scam innocent customers with unnecessary expenses. I had a problem with my car having an audio problem and some vibration. After spending 4 hours waiting at the dealer ship with no feedback from the service manager and being ignored she came back and told me that the radio needs to be replaced and the wheels and rim needs to be replaced as well with a cost price of $5500. Both are not covered under warranty. In trying to contact the owner or one of their general managers I was always referred back to the same lady who curtly told me to contact Hyundai if I need to take up further. She was not helpful at all.On taking it to a different place I was told that there was nothing wrong with the radio and the fuse needed to be replace. The vibration had nothing to do with the wheels. I am still in shock on how close they came to ripping me off and am still upset all the stress and sleepless nights they gave me the last 2 months.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with this dealership and Nick Nicholas, the "internet or fleet" manager. We had sent emails to the dealerships in the greater Phoenix area, as well as the Tucson dealerships. After reviewing the various offers, and speaking with representatives, we found the offer from Chapman Hyundai Phoenix to be the best. It included delivery to our door (we are about 100 miles away) by Nick Nicholas, himself. Everything was just as Nick promised. He had found the model we were looking for, the interior and exterior color, the packages (no more, no less). Just what we agreed upon. Nick spent an hour with us that Saturday morning reviewing the car's features and going over the nuances of the electronics. Simply a great buying experience. I bought my 2010 Elantra from these people, and I continue to bring it back there for servicing. I have had nothing but fantastic service. They worked with me and set me up on a pre-paid oil change plan, which is extremely worth it. It's been 2 years and I haven't had to pay for anything yet, everything they've fixed or replaced has so far been under warranty. The last time I went, Norm, who is awesome and I choose him every time I go, gave me a detailed sheet on the areas that will need to be worked on in my next few visits because I'm coming up on a milage where certain items should be replaced or flushed, like transmission and my wipers. He even gave me the total cost of everything so I can prepare, and I was surprised on how affordable it was! Norm always remembers my name, gets everything done in an extremely timely manner, talks to me one on one about everything that's going on in easy to understand language, and makes sure my car gets washed every time. The free car wash is just icing on the cake, I love this dealership, they have really treated me the best out of all my experiences!

I purchased a new Sonata here, and signed papers stating the car had 25 miles on it. I picked up the car in the evening near closing time, so I did not check the odometer.When I was about 3 blocks away, I noticed there were 150 miles on the car and McDonald's wrappers in the center console.When I called to complain, they asked if I wanted to bring the car back and made it clear they thought I was making a big deal out of nothing. They told me that salesmen use the cars to go to lunch (?!) and that the miles probably came from bringing the car from another dealership. I asked which dealership the car came from, and the one they named was at10 miles away.When I asked why they did not update the paperwork they gave me, they had no answer. They offered a free oil change as compensation.The service was worse than the buying experience. My car died 3 days after 15k service. Their response "we can't predict your battery is going to fail in the future"!

If you know what car you want i would suggest going to truecar.com for the price. Chapman hyundai has agreed to this price. Believe it or not car dealers are in business to make as much money from you as they can. If car dealers just would treat customers fairly and offer them a great product at a fair price then they would sell many more cars. The dealers would also have many more return customers returning to the dealership. This should apply to all the products they sell but the supply and demand and greed comes into play. If they are selling alot of a certain model of car, then they stop charging you a fair price for that model. Dealerships take advantage of customers in this way. At Chapman i believe they try to limit this technique.We received a fair price on the elantra even though it is in (high demand) at this time.The staff at Chapman was great. I would like to thank Sam in internet sales and Marcus in finance. We would purchase from Chapman again.

I am very dissatisfied my car has been shifting hard and docent down shift correctly when driving up hills. My car was brought in a few weeks ago and they reset the computer. And we were told that if the problem happened again they would replace the part. The next time I went out of town it had the same problem. So we took the car back to have the part replaced under my warranty. And we were told because you couldn't get it to do it then you wouldn't replace the part. I am a very busy person and need my car to be dependable. And don't understand why you didn't replace the part as promised. We are going out of town again this weekend. Driving from casa grande to pinetop and now have to hope to not have the problem again. I'm sure there has to be some kind of test you can run to find the problem.

I purchased a new (2012 Hyundai Sonata in a deep indigo blue). It's a beautiful car and performs exceptionally well on the open road and on city streets. My wife & I are realy enjoying the car's driving experience. I feel I got the car at a good price, and some extra's were included. In the three days that I've driven it I covered 125 miles in the city and on the highways. Today, I will be driving another 150 miles on the cities highways, and all that on the same tank of gas.

Both times we worked with David Ekpo, who is a superb responsible salesman and good honest guy. Every employee (lot attendants, salesmen, service department, finance, GM) at Hyundai is helpful, courteous, and honest. They don't plany games or use abusive sales tactics. The deals advertised on tv are the ones you can get. Chapman Hyundai is a model car dealership to me and I tell everyone I know about it.

The dealership was unlike most dealerships in that it's sales reps (especially Stan) was not a pushy salesman but actually took the time to listen to what car I wanted and needed. He was friendly and most importantly honest throughout the whole process. They worked hard to get me the payments I was looking for and were able to come through. Even filling out the dreaded paperwork wasn't so bad. It went pretty fast and I was thorougly informed about everything I was signing. I would highly recommend this dealership and especially my sales rep Stan to anyone looking to buy a car. They also got me right in to get my windows tinted and to take care of a few scratches I had noticed.

I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata in to have a/c checked out. It was taking too long for it to get cold. My boyfriend has an identical model vehicle and he even noticed the difference. I also heard a rattle coming from the back of the car.When Jamie called me to tell me that there was no problem with the a/c and the rattle was a loose cd that was found in the center console I asked her how far the car had been driven to listen for the rattle. She explained that they were going to take the car back out, I asked her to have the technician drive my car to my place (which is just down the street on Bell Rd) to pick me up so that I can help the technician identify the rattle she declined. She told me that the shuttle would pick me up and refused to have the technician pick me up. She explained the route the technician took to identify the rattle and ignored me when I tried to tell her that you have to be going a certain speed before the rattle is heard. I felt like she was treating me like I didn't know what I was talking about. The shuttle driver (Daniel) who by the way was extremely helpful and friendly, picked me up about 45 minutes later. I drove my car about 3 miles and heard the rattle. I immediately called Jamie, left her a voice mail message telling her how disappointed I was that the rattle was still there. I explained that had she honored my request to have the technician pick me up in MY OWN VEHICLE I could have helped that person identify the rattle. Instead now I have to either live with the rattle or take the car back and be without it for another 6 hours.

I had some previous work done and then my car wouldn't start. I got it started and was met by Jaime and a serviceman who immediately determined two sensors were bad. They were replaced and I was on my way with the car idling correctly in about an hour. There was a little tiny box of candy near my speedometer which really touched my heart.

I had 30,000 mile service done on my Hyundai Santa Fe this past Monday at Chapman on Bell Rd. Prior to my appointment, I consulted my Hyundai handbook for all the necessary requirements of 30,000 service. I fully knew what was expected. When I arrived, Norm advised me I would have to have a transmission flush done as well, which was not in my manual. I advised that I felt that I thought that was odd, as most vehicles have transmission fluid work done about 50-60,000 miles. He assured me it was part of the 30,000 mile service, and advised me the cost would be about $479. I told him if it was part of the 30,000, I had to have it done. A few minutes later, he came back into the waiting area and stated that I was right-transmission service did not need to be done until 60,000, but that I had to have coolant service done. Again, coolant service was not listed as a 30,000 mile service, but he felt it was part of the service, and I did not want to do anything to void the warranty. They finished the work, I received my bill at the end of the service, and left. That night, while talking to my husband, we got out the Hyundai Santa Fe manual again, and coolant service is not necessary until 60,000, even under severe conditions. I verified this on the Hyundai website as well. http://www.hyundaiusa.com/maintenance-schedule/ So, my question is...why did Norm state that the coolant was part of 30,000 mile service, when by Hyundai's own manuals, it is not; why did Norm insist that my car needed transmission service, when it does not until 60,000? My husband is angry that we paid for services we do not need, and I feel that Norm took advantage of me because I am a woman. Finally, I noticed the day after my service that the right front panel is bent-right where the tire would have been removed for tire rotation. I do not know if there is a pin that holds it to the frame that popped off, or it in fact it is truly bent, but it was obviously done when maintenance was done on the tire rotation, as it is bent from underneath. I would like an explanation of the extra services I had to pay for, and I would like my front panel repaired. I have tried to contact Micheal Hanna, the service manager, the email he gave as a contact is invalid, and I left a voice mail message with no return.

I brought my 2005 Santa Fe in for regular servicing at 60,000 miles. Jamie called me within an hour and told me they recommended several items that needed to be repaired, including broken motor mounts, steering pump, spark plug and more. The total to attend to all was over $2000. This was totally unexpected as I bring the vehicle in on schedule for maintenance. I could not afford even $1000 dollars in repairs, but she indicated some items could wait, but the motor mounts did need replacement now. I agreed to the mounts being replaced in addition to the regular service items due at this time. She saved the broken mounts and showed them to me when I came to get the car. Still in shock that these items suddenly failed in 3000 miles, I came back to ask them to show me where the mounts were located. Jamie immediately got the mechanic who performed the work and after getting the car up on the lift, Matt, showed me the location of the mounts. I was still skeptical that they had been replaced with new, but Matt told me he also washed the engine which then had run-off water that flowed over the mounts, making them looked "used". After some further discussion and Michael coming to also hear my concerns (about the shock to me hearing my Santa Fe needed so much repair) in light of how dedicated I am to having services done at regular intervals. I asked that I have one dedicated mechanic who would always be responsible for and perform maintenance on the Santa Fe. Michael and Matt were very agreeable to that request and I did leave feeling that my concerns had been addressed and resolved. Jamie was patient through this whole encounter, as were Michael and Matt. I do apologize to Matt, especially, for doubting that he actually did the repairs and replaced the broken parts with new. After talking with him, I believe in his integrity and look forward to knowing that he will care for my vehicle upon future visits to Chapman Hyundai.

I was welcomed immediately upon my arrival at the service garage. Mr. Rosen asked me a few quewtions and I told him the issues I was having with my Elantra. I was told to go to the waiting area where we had coffee and pastries, up-to-date magazines (that almost never happens) and a television. The service was performed on my car including two recall matters which I had forgotten to mention. Mr. Rosen came in during the waiting period to let me know that the procedures had been done and that my car was being washed and would be delivered to me immediately. I was pleased how smoothly things went and how nice everyone was. Everyone whowas waiting seemed to feel the same way. The price was perfect . . . my warranty covered everything.

I PRINTED A "GUARANTEED PRICE QUOTE" FROM CHAPMAN HYUNDAI AND BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY (5/29/11). THE CAR WAS IN STOCK (STILL ON THE TRUCK) AND HAD NO DEALER ADD ONS (YET). THEY REFUSED TO SELL THE CAR AT THE PRICE THEY QUOTED UNLESS THEY ADDED ON GLASS ETCHING $800, WINDOW TINT $500, PAINT SEALANT $800 AND ALARM $800. VERY UNETHICAL BEHAVIOUR. THEY SAID THE PAINT FROM HYUNDAI IS SUBSTANDARD AND WON'T SELL THE CAR WITHOUT THE SEALANT. THEN THEY SAID THEY ADD THE GLASS ETCHING SO THEY CAN GET A DISCOUNT FROM THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY. Steve called me to tell me Chapman had received a new Elantra touring car which I was interested in. I did not think I was going to purchase the car that day, but did, and did not feel pressured in any way to do so. Norm was great. I was totally comfortable. This was my first service so I kept waiting for a "hidden charge" and was totally surprised when nothing popped up. I rated the quality of work as NA as I do not really know the answer to that, especially so soon after having it done. Pricing is out of Jaime's control and should not have this rating affect her performance. A relative just had the same service done on a Lexus for almost half of the cost. Thank goodness I had a 10% off coupon to bring down the cost a little.Even though Jaime is awesome and I would prefer to service my car at the dealership, I will probably do a little more price comparison for the work I need done in the future.

Dealership was very prompt and courteous. My vehicle was towed in for a breakdown and was delivered late night after dealership was closed. You had my car up and running the next day. However, they missed a slight muffler noise (like there's a leak somewhere near the engine) in the overview of the car. I wonder if it's cheaper to have the noise fixed at a muffler shop or at the dealership.

The service I requested was scheduled on the same day, and performed within a very reasonable time frame.Although I have had excellent experience with your dealership, and am willing to complete questionaires as requested to assist your dealership, I do not find the necessity to register to submit questionaires to be a good idea (I did not have to do this with Hyundai). I also am not thrilled with haveing to add to my comments so that they are an acceptable length. Please reconsider this requirement.

We needed to take our 2011 Elantra in for it's first service and to have a couple of minor issues repaired. Jamie greeted us let us know there were a couple of "recall" items that needed to be taken care of and explained those "recall" items were in fact computer related and would just take a "software" update. She addressed our concerns and let us know our car would be ready in 2 hours or less. Upon picking up our vehicle Jamie explained exactly what had been done to the vehicle, what services couldn't be completed due to the parts not even being available to the dealer yet and let us know that as soon as the parts were available they would contact us to schedule the service. The entire experience was well explained and easy. We will be having all of our service work done at Chapman Hyundai in the future even though we have to drive for 3+ hours to have it done there. There is no Hyundai dealer in our small town.

We plan to keep our vehicles until off warranty, but when we do replace a vehicle it will be with another Hyundai. The servic rep we dealt with was Christaan. First of all, our sales person - Robert Sunseri - was the best and most understanding of all the people we dealt with. He was professional, listened to us, did what we asked and he said he would do, and was a pleasure to work with. He rates a 5 +.Secondly, before we went to the dealership, we had arranged financing through Bank of America, who supposedly is a partner with this dealership. We understood all we had to do was give the letter we received from BoA and the finance department would take care of the rest.Unfortunatley, during the car buying experience, we also had to deal with a John Lewis and a Marcos (Financing)and too many others. Neither of the two was professional or listened to what we had to say. John, in fact, called with a rude message and his words left on my cell phone were "I don't think you realize the seriousness of the situation." concerning the car we had ordered. John did not listen when Rob had told him we had made an appointment to take care of the paperwork on the car. When I spoke to John in person, he continued to not listen and, when I finally told him that "if he would stop talking and listen to me", we could get this all resolved. Truly, at that point, I was ready to scrap the car deal and start with another dealership. John, by the way, had previously inserted himself into an earlier conversation Rob and Elizabeth and I were having, trying to brow-beat us into buying a car we did not want, even though Rob had asked him not to talk with us.On the day the car was ready for us (we had to order the car since the one we wanted was not available anywhere), we were told to meet with a Marcus (I don't know his last name) from financing. We did not need any financing but Marcus proceeded to ask personal information from Elizabeth concerning financing the car. When I stepped in, since we had been told by two other people that we did not need any paperwork to finance the car) I became loud although I do not think I was yellling. Marcus said to me, "Sir, you need to calm down." and told me I was yelling at him, that he would not sit there and let me do that, which set me off again. Marcus would not listen to the fact that we had a letter from BoA stating, "Bank of America does not require the customer to re-apply nor do you need to pull the applicant's credit report as the applicant is already in our system. There is no need to pull the applicant's credit report or provide the applicant with a Risk Base Pricing Credit Score Notice as these actions were completed during the application process." He continued to tell us that he could not let us leave the dealership with a car and no promise of payment, although we had put a total of $4,000 down on the car, including our trade in, and had the letter from BoA. Finally, when I asked Rob (salesperson) to help us out, Rob did and we got everything straightened out. After that, I told Marcus that "if he would shut his mouth and listen to us", none of the problem would have occured. He then proceeded to berate me again, saying I told him to shut up and that he would not take that from me. Elizabeth finally had all the papers signed and we left. I was still upset and Elizabeth was stressed from the whole experience. In conclusion, I want to say that the experience was terrible,a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10, and not one I would do again at Chapman Hyundai. My new slogans for the Chapman Hynudai dealership is "The customer is always WRONG!" and "We pride ourselves in NOT listening to our customers." I want to repeat that the salesperson - Rob - was excellent and a good salesperson. He was the type of person we thought we would be dealing with all along.

The customer service, workmanship, and general atmosphere is very positive. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership. I did ask to have a rattle checked out, and the Tech did not hear it. It still rattles at about 30mph. to over 45. It is distracting. The good news is that Ms. Heyns told me that if I experience this again, to just bring the car in. I'll do it when I can. I had to leave my car on Friday night around closing time due to a mechanical problem with my car. When I arrived at 7am Jamie had the service order written and it was ready to go into the shop for repair. Jamie got my car back to me in a little over an hour, I did not expect to get my car back so quickly on a Saturday. Today I bought a 2011 White Hyundai Sonata from Christian Burnette and wanted to share with you my experience working with him. I had first called your dealership a couple of weeks ago and spoke to Rob Sunseri. We chatted for a few minutes and he provided me with a bit more information about the vehicle. I didnt have a chance to come in when I said I would, and didnt end up actually walking through your doors until yesterday, Sunday 4/3 at around 4pm. I had first gone to Discover Hyundai off Hayden and thats where I did the test drive. The salesman over there didnt show me any features of the car, just handed me the keys and I took it for a test drivewithout him. They wouldnt work with me so I left and drove straight to your dealership. Rob wasnt working yesterday as I asked for him, but they hooked me up with Christian. I have to say that it was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. We all know that buying a brand new car isnt something that anyone would call fun, but working with Christian was fun! He first took me out to the car and showed me all the features of the vehicle (remember, Discover didnt do this at all). We then started the negotiation process and he was very fair, honest and reasonable. I know that he is a new employee and frankly you are lucky to have him with you. Hes an outstanding person, and just an all round good guy. After all the paperwork was completed, he again, went out to the car with megot my Bluetooth working on my cell and reviewed all the features again with me. Showing me virtually everything I needed to know. I felt like the most important person in the world. He was not rushed, he wasnt impatient..he was nothing but professional, calm, patient, and took all the time I wanted to take. I would buy a car from him any day, and will recommend your dealership to anyone that I know is interested in a new car. Christian is the reflection of your dealership and his actions set the foundation for my opinion of your dealership. You got my business because of Christian and nothing else. I will say, however, that Marcus in your finance department was also fabulous to work with, but then again, by the time I saw him.all the other details were already worked outthanks to Christian. All in all, every person that I came in contact with was extremely professional and respectful. You have a wonderful team of folks there and I hope you realize this. Even the receptionist who answers the phones deserves recognition for being extremely professional and helpful. Initial review:As brief as I can be: Bought 2 new tires in Oct. 6 weeks later, one became heavily damaged. Went in expecting it to be under warranty for an exchange. Informed the tires were sold to me w/ no warranty (not prorated either). Tried selling me a new tire instead with no sympathy for defective tire sold to me 6 wks prior. So, I went to a competitor. They sold me a new tire for $15 less w/ full warranty (and were very friendly about it too). Called to complain, told Service Manager (Mike H.) that I wasn't being treated like a loyal customer and that I wouldn't have bought the tires these initially if they would have explained that there would be no warranty on them. A 6 week tire shouldn't just fall apart. I said I would never go back. He offered free oil change, whatever (Oil change = $30, Tire = app $120). I no longer trust this dealership's service dept. They have a new employee every time I visit. Staff has been unfriendly to me in the past. Always trying to up sell unneeded services (said I needed new Hepa filter for $57 but wouldn't take care of it for me as they were the oil change). Also said I should do a $230 throttle clean? My car has 25k miles and is under full warranty. Why am I to shell out $230 for something that either be included in my bumper to bumper or not an issue at all. It's really too bad about the service dept. at this dealership. They give Hyundai a bad name. They must lose good customers left and right with their lack of customer service and money sucking vultures sales approach. I used to be a loyal customer, but now I will bad mouth the particular establishment to everyone I know. Seriously.Follow-up review:Revisited on 4/27. Service Manager Mike Hanna and Customer Relations Manager Jamie Cox took care of me and resolved any/all issues I've had with this dealership. They admitted the problem wasn't handled correctly and were determined to earn back my business. I respect them for their efforts and will now consider coming back to this establishment for future service work. Thank you Mike and Jamie for making me feel like a valued Hyundai customer.Also, to clarify previous post in case my wording was misleading: the tires that were sold to me were brand new.

I have been using your dealership since I purchased my car at a now-closed dealership in Scottsdale and have been happy with the service. i could do oil changes closer to home and for less money, but the fact that you wash my car and the fact that I prefer working with a dealer, is instrumental in my using your shop. At one point, you started charging for car washes -- that would have been enough to make me rethink seriously my decision to use you for my service.....especially oil changes. Yesterday, to my dismay, I was told you were only washing the outside. i don't know what the policy was before, but I do know that my car was always vaccummed and at least lightly dusted. Yesterday I got an outside car wash - and not a great one at that. Not a big deal -- but it says to me you are trying to cut corners -- which makes me wonder what other corners you are cutting?????????

Nick was great from the first phone call. He listened to exactly what I wanted and found me a perfect car. I had gone to another dealership before Chapman and test drove a Sonata, but the salesperson only talked about how beautiful the car was. Nick actually walked me around the car and explained the features and during the test drive let me experience the steering and the ABS brakes. He let me make my decision with no pressure. Nick made me feel like I was at a luxury dealership. He even came in on his day off to go through every feature of my new car before I drove it home. Chapman Hyundai is a very friendly dealership. I had a great experience with every person I dealt with.

Nick was extremely helpful and honest and went the extra mile to make the new car buying process smooth. He made himself available for answering questions and for keeping us well informed about the new car under our consideration. We used the USAA pricing and he held firm to that quote. Everybody I delt with was very friendly and helpful. I had a very good experience at Chapman Hyundai. There was a problem with the Air conditioner but it was fixed right way and quickly too. I received the upgrades that I wanted and the car alarm system was put in right away and very fast at well. The car runs great and I'm very happy with it - thanks Chapman Hyundai.

I needed to change the timing belt and water pump on my 2002 Hyundai Accent. The car is in really good shape but I travel a lot so it has to be ready to go. I had a good experience and they did a review to tell me other work I should do. I was really surprised as there was very little that was needed. My car has 111,0000 miles on it. This is the longest I've ever owned a car.

Jamie is always helpful when it's time for service.I had scheduled an appointment for oil change service and had an issue with a part on my vehicle and it was looked into right away. I was informed of what would need to be done to fix this issue and given a day and time frame on how long it would take to do the repair.My vehicle came back to me clean. I did find a little suprise in my cup holder upon my return. A little box with some candies inside. Very thoughtful & greatly appreciated.As always a job well done!

We purchased a 2007 certified Hyundai Sante Fe. A few months later we learned the car had gone through the certification process, however; the repairs that were noted, were not repaired. As a result we had to spend $170.00 for a rear end alignment and $886.00 for a new set of tires due to the damage caused by the tires that were on the vehicle, but had suffered server damage due to improper alignment.To ad insult to injury, the car was parked outside in your parking facility when we had the hail store. That was another $2,300.00 in damage in which we had to pay the $500.00 deductable and Chapman refused to reimburse us for the deducible.Selling certified vehicles that are knowingly damaged and not repaired is just wrong.I WOULD DISUADE ANYONE FROM BUYING A CAR AT CHAPMAN.

Chapman Hyundai at 999 West Bell Road in Phoenix provided my new 2011 Hyundai Sonata great service. I had the oil changed etc. Jaime Heyns was the service consultant who took care of my car. She was able to fix my fuel filler door which was not properly aligned. She had it fixed without having to replace the entire fuel filler door. I did not buy my Sonata at Chapman Hyundai in Phoenix...I bought it at another dealership. The dealership where I purchased my Sonata said that the fuel filler door had to be replaced and painted.They never got back with me....it has been way over 2 months. Chapman Hyundai (Jaime Heynes) said only a couple of screws needed adjustment to fix the fuel filler door. Great Service Jaime!!! What was the service department at the other place thinking ???? We'll never know.Thanks again Chapman Hyundai of Phoenix at 999 West Bell Road for your courteous, prompt and efficient service. I really wish I purchased my Sonata at your dealership instead of "Brand X."

I had previously worked with Wally Bryner when I got my Genesis. I was very pleased with that experience so I asked for him when I was in the market for another car. He worked very hard to get the car I wanted at the price I wanted. But at the same time I did not feel pressured or rushed. This is quite an accomplishment since most dealings with car salesman are almost always dreadful. Patricia was great to work with. Lots of energy and good at explaining all the options. She has a great personality and made the boring paperwork part go quickly and pleasantly.The managers in the sales office that work the deals were quick to give an answer and very fair. They did not keep me waiting endlessly to wear me down as I have had done in other dealers.

The waiting room is always comfortable and bathrooms convenient. My Tucson was washed and vacuumed as always and runs like my baby should again.There was an extremely cranky woman whom Jaime was also dealing with. Terrific service! Three items to complete: Oil change service, check brakes and look at lumbar seat button. Jaime informed me to allow about two hours. It took less time than that but more importantly, I knew in advance what to expect. Explained that a part needs to be ordered for the seat and when I return it will be a three - four hour appointment. Perfect! I like to know what to expect so I can plan accordingly. Very efficient and friendly. Customer friendly waiting area. Also, love the car wash!

The price for the oil change has gone up and the Technicians constantly find things wrong with my vehicle and suggest expensive repairs, like changing light bulbs that are not "necessary". I feel like I am being gouged everytime I tak my Santa Fe in for service.

As far as I can tell everything that was repaired/changed out is working fine with the vehicle. I have zero issues with any of that and paid you a little over $1600 to get that stuff taken care of. However I have now discussed getting the CD player repaired on several occasions with a couple of different individuals at the dealership and was promised it would be taken care of this time. Of course it was not. I have the same broken CD player that I've had since August. It is very annoying. I do not have a second driver available on most days to drive me in and out of your dealership so I was really hoping that it would be taken care of this time since whoever the guy I spoke to said it would be (it is under warranty). I also do not have the time to go down there and wait an hour and a half to two hours for it to be installed which is what I was told on a past occasion is the amount of time it would take. My rating above falls in the middle because you did seem to do nice work on what you did. But it is kind of ridiculous at this point that I do not have a CD player since I've discussed it with a minimum of three individuals, plus left phone messages regarding the subject (all of which went un-returned). My biggest problem with your service waiting area is that it is not handicap friendly. I order to go to the bathroom You have a to travel a long distance to the bathroom. Walking up stairs is not an option for people in wheel chairs or scooters. Walking up the stairs is difficult for your elderly clients. There are no ramps going into the service waiting room. Gary and Troy have helped me get into the waiting room. Despite my frustration I gave your dealership a high rating for service but not for handicap friendliness.

I am almost at a loss for words when it comes to the service department at this dealership. The customer service is always ABOVE and BEYOND. I called when my car wouldnt start (just needed a jump start) and Gary assisted me in getting a jump start from roadside service. I am single mother and live alone so needless to say cannot work on a vehicle! lol. Gary told me once they came to the house to bring the vehicle right down and they would check the battery and replace if needed. I get there and great news was something like dome light probably was left on but he still had an inspection done of the battery alternator etc and oh....THEY WASHED MY CAR!!!! I was not there long and have not had any further problems with starting my vehicle. I rant and rave about this service advisor and department to all of my family and friends. I will NEVER take my car anywhere but here. Thank you to Gary Timmons for all that he does every time I contact him! You should look into cloning him! He is a KEEPER! the business world needs more people like him in it---he definitely provides EXCELLENT customer service to your clients.

I always visit this dealership when I need my hyundai serviced. The staff is very friendly and the dealership is convenient for me because it is close to my home. I never have to make an appointment. I bring my car in and the service manager promptly attends to my needs and sends me on my way. My car is always fixed right the first time and their complimentary car wash is better than some of the car washes I have paid for. Pricing is decent considering this is a dealership, but not exceptional. If you want your hyundai serviced with care and don't mind a little extra out of pocket cost, this is the place to go.

Brought the Hyundai in for a warranty repair of the transmission. Were told it was fixed but we don't believe the problem is gone. We will drive it for awhile and are expecting to have to bring it back. Sorry about that ...The treatment by the service department was fine but we don't think we got the problem fixed. A longer / better test drive should have convinced the svc tech of that as well.Additional review - Invalid login. What's with that?Once I set up a user name and password, why doesn't it stay set up.

Car car buying experience that I first had with Chapman just about three months ago was completely unlike any other I had experienced previously. They didn't try to sell me what I didn't want, but instead let their product do the talking for them. They really worked with me getting the car that I wanted that was within my means. Three new car warrantee service problems, fixed only one, was completely lost on the other two. Had no idea of how to identify and fix the problems. Refused when requested to repair the most likely problem source. I'm sure that the problems will return, but I will not go back to Chapman Hyundai for the repairs.Had the nerve to request that I spend an additional $315.44 on non covered items with the same technicians and service advisor that could not properly repair the warrantee items.

You received a 'good' rating on price because I do not know any better. In all the years of owning Hyundais, I do not remember having a checkup that cost over $200. I am retired and on a fixed income, so expenses in the hundreds are unpleasant.I do not have an itemized list of costs associated with a 15,000 mile checkup. I had a coupon that listed the checks performed but not the costs associated with each.Otherwise, the Chapman Hyundai service is always excellent. Jaime is the best!Larry J. Mott

Whenever I call I am greeted with a "smile", with friendliness and courtesy. Whatever I need is taken care of efficiently without question. The time I need is always available and the cost so far has been great ($0). However, in general, I will be going elsewhere for my oil changes as your cost is too high. This dealership as a whole, has been outstanding and I would recommend Chapman Hyundai.

I brought the car in for service after receiving a letter about a "Recall". The only person I dealt with was Jamie H., and she could not have been more courteous and helpful. I'm a new Chapman customer, and my dealings with Chapman employees from initial visit to now, has been refreshingly good. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Chapman Hyundai. I have a 2011 Sonata, and I love the car.

Worked with Jamie on several occasions. A newer dealer opened a couple of miles from my office. I did contact them to service my vehicle on this occasion. Their telephone service was terrible... disconnected on the first call. When I did speak with the service person, I could not understand them. They seemed in a hurry to speak with me.That has never been the case with Jamie and Chapman. I had the vehicle towed the extra 12 miles just so it could be serviced with a company that has served me well in the past. Jamie timely contacted me with the issues and, as she knew I was in working all day, sent me a pdf with the full report. It was great.

Once again, Ms. Heyns took care of the necessary repairs after the ordered part came in. She always puts the customer first and makes sure that the work is accomplished in the shortest time possible. The work was done in accordance with my work schedule to minimize any impacts to me. There was no waiting to get the car in and no waiting after the repairs were made. I appreciate her care and help she has always given me with my repairs and maintenance of the vehicle.

The only reason that I dinged the dealership in this instance was because until I called to find out when scheduled service was going to be, they totally forgot to schedule or order the part. Other than that, everything else was great. Let me know if you need anything else.

Salesman had a good attitude. He was verry helpful and gave a detailed overview of the car that I was interested in. I gave the ratings because my expierence with the salesman was very pleasant; he did not rush in describing how the automobile outperformed others in its class.

We found Steve on the internet and are so glad we did. We just moved here from Illinois and were unsure of what dealership to visit for a Sonata which is the car we've being thinking about for a few months. We 1st visited Larry Miller Hyundai and boy was that a let down. The sales person there acted like we were wasting his time and wouldn't even let us take a test drive because we were non committal about buying at that very moment. That was a 1st for us. We couldn't wait to get away from there and will never do business with them in the future. Steve was totally different. He answered all of our questions, did the test drive, then explained all the many features the car had to offer without being "high-pressure" about it. He is a very knowledgeable and pleasant person to deal with and an asset to your dealership.

At the last minute 10.29.2010, Friday, I called to see if the seat back in our 2007 Azera could be repaired. The seat back would not move forward, and laid flat. Ms. Heyns said to bring it in and they would look at it. I came right in and they analyzed the issue and indicated they would have to order a part. I appreciated being able to get right in, late on a Friday afternoon. This is not the first time I have contacted Ms. Heyns with an issue, and each time have been taken care of in a very timely manner. No one could ask for more. Too bad other concerns do not approach their customers in the same manner as your Hyundai Dealership.......John Wilkie

This was the best experience that I have ever had at a car dealership. Everyone that I dealt with was very pleasant and friendly. They never tried to push me into a deal like most dealerships do. Even thought I was not able to leave with the vehicle that I had originally came in to look at (which was no fault of the dealer at all). I left extremely happy with the car that I did purchase. The car that I originally went there for was a bit out of my budget and they did not try to push me into buying it which is what usually happens when the car that you go to buy is higher than expected. I went in to look at an SUV and left with a car that probably has made me as happy as the SUV would have which is something that I would think was not possible. I left there with a very good feeling about the deal that was made, and I did not feel like I was ripped off like every other dealership I ever dealt with left me feeling. I would highly recommend Chapman Bell Road Imports. I would recommend them to both friends and relatives. Something that I have never said about another dealership before. I would also highly recommend working with the salesman Hal Bliss.

An outstanding car buying experience. We called Justin from across town about a car our son saw online. By the time we got to the dealership he had taken it off the lot so it would still be here for us.Hal told us that he wanted his customers to have a good experience whether or not they ended up buying a car from him. That was in fact the case. And he did not pull any sleazy car salesman tricks. In fact, the interest rate he gave us turned out to be better than we could have gotten from our credit union.

Your rating scale does not make it possible to rate this dealership and its staff highly enough. I rarely give the highest of ratings to anyone or any organization in the belief that there's always room for improvement. But, I don't know where it would be for Chapman Imports and its staff.I have not had to purchase a car in over 30 years (drove fleet cars). In spite of considerable internet research it was a frightening prospect to simply consider walking into a dealership, much less attempting to negotiate. From my first contact with Hal in internet sales, I was made to feel "part of the family". Throughout the day, I worked with Hal, Justin and Joe. You guys were all great!!! In fact, all the staff were friendly, and I was impressed by the sense of comraderie between them.I love my new 2011 Tucson - it drives like a dream, and I feel like a Queen in it. AND the price was absolutely unbeatable for this SUV ... or any other similar vehicle I looked at.Thank you for making the whole experience not only less stressful and frightening, but actually fun!

I purchased one of the least expensive cars and I was treated like I bought the most expensive car. They even helped me play a practical joke on my daughter who the car was for. I spent a week shopping for a new car, extensively searching on-line sites and going to several different dealerships around the city. Chapman Hyundai on Bell Rd. was where my search began (I stopped in at the very beginning of the week just to take a look around and get an idea of what Hyundai had to offer) and it's also where my search ended (I returned to this dealership at the end of the week to make my purchase because of how superior they were to the other dealerships I visited). I was thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service I received. Not only was working with Hal and Joe completely enjoyable (both are sincerely friendly, funny, honest, helpful, outgoing guys), but I trusted that my interests were their priority. I didn't feel like I was being "sold" a car: I felt like I was being helped to find the car that worked best for me and my budget. I never felt pressured into making an on-the-spot deal, I didn't feel dooped into the "this will be your monthly payment" game, and I was given all the time and attention typically reserved for a customer purchasing a much more expensive vehicle. (I was considering one of the least expensive models available and needed to stick to a strict budget, but I still felt I received the elite package in customer service!) I went to other dealerships where even the time I spent test driving vehicles was torture--I couldn't get out fast enough. Conversely, I spent a great deal of time at Chapman and found the entire experience to be a pleasure (even the employees with whom I wasn't directly working were friendly and attentive). I will return to this dealership for all of my future car-buying needs, and I will strongly recommend my friends and family shop here as well. Thank you, Hal and Joe, for such a delightful time!

My brother lives in New Mexico and came down for the weekend to see my new 2011 sonata SE (Pearl White) After driving mine, he wanted to look at getting a pearl white 2011 sonata SE like mine. We met with Ron Rockey and he was very professional, polite and knowledeable. My brother got his car that he wanted at a "fair" deal and had a very pleasant experience. I also took my car to get the windows tinted.... they did a very good job and the customer service is top notch.

I contacted Chapman through the internet. I requested information on some used Hyundai sedans. Joe D. contacted me back immediatly through email (as I requested). He also sent additional information on some other choices. When I went to the dealership he was very accomodating. He listened to what I had to say and understood my circumstances. Since I was without a car he made sure I was transported to and from the dealership. I got a GREAT price on the car of my dreams!! He worked with me on securing the financing and I drove off in the perfect car for me. I will use Chapman to service my car, especially since the warranty is so awesome! And the next time I am in the market to buy a car Chapman and Joe D. will get my business. I thank everyone at the dealership for being so friendly and accommodating!

What a pleasent supprise!!!!!!! A dealership that really made you feel at home..We came in with the idea of buying a used car, and in the process ended up with a great new Sonota..Mr. Hal Bliss is really a great asset to your sales dept. We both took an immediate liking for this young man......We felt like he was family,which in our case is GOOD!!!!!!My wife Dolores had recently totaled our car, and was still uneasy about driving..Hal said"No Problem" he would personaly deliver the car to us over in Mesa--a good 45 min. drive. Next day on his "day off"??? He and his lovely wife and daughter, brought the car over. He was all to happy to explain all the functions and gave us a thorough run through..We even had a nice visit, and really enjoyed our relationship......Hats off to all of the sale dept!!They preformed their duties in very professional manner.... My mother and I were working with Ron Rockey the last couple of visits and he was very nice, professional, knowledgeable. We came in to test drive a new sonata limited and Ron was busy so he had another salesman help us. Not only could he not answer any basic questions in regards to the car, he could not even pick out the new sonata from their back lot and even stated that "all the cars look the same to him". When it ame to the test drive... he let us drive it (1) block at 30 mph. Yes... (1) block. And on the way back he made the comment... "so... do you want to go back and have me fill out the paperwork?". We were so disenchanted we just got out of the car... got into our car and left. Later I contacted the sales manager and told him what an aweful experience we had. Our first salesman... Ron Rockey called us and aplogized and we did not hold anything against him.

I had a wonderful experience at Chapman Hyundai. Our car broke down and they were able to tell us what was wrong with it without having bought our car from them. We ended up meeting with Hal Bliss from the sales department, whom I highly recommend and he helped us buy a new Hyundai. The finance department was really helpful and I appreciate all of the hard work that they did for us in order to get us into our new car. I would recommend Chapman Hyundai to anyone. It was our first and our last stop when looking for a new car. I have never gone to any other lot and had the service that the guys gave us at Chapman Hyundai. I will definitely be returning to Chapman Hyundai the next time I need a new car.

Yesterday started off in a bad way. I was driving to work in my Hyundai Santa Fe and I heard a cracking noise! Uh oh! I called the tow service and asked them to take me to my Hyundai dealership (Chapman). After a period of time I was told that I would have to have a new motor put in the car! Well - I was not going to do that - it seemed more economical just to pick up a new vehicle. I was taken to the sales department where I was introduced to Steve. He was very personable and made the car buying situation an easy one. We test drove a couple of cars and discussed what I was looking for. He was very patient with me - as I was not in the car purchasing mind set! He made sure that the finacing went smoothly (with the help of George Tellez) and I was able to drive away in my new car! He even helped me to clean out my old vehicle (a bigger task than you would think)!I had a very positive experience and would suggest that anyone looking for a new vehicle pop over to Chapman and ask for Steve!
