Jennifer provided very good customer service, but my experience was somewhat disappointing. I was charged for a tire rotation which I requested, but the service tech did not rotate them. I knew the tires weren't rotated because I could see the plug from a recent flat repair. Obviously, I was frustrated! Jennifer and Matt (service manager) were very apologetic; they quickly worked our tire rotation the next day, and they offered a complimentary synth oil change. They seem to be sincere, good personnel. I'm not yet endorsing this dealer, but thanks to those two, I'm willing to give Chapman another try.

Purchase new car from them and battery died after 9 months. Had two other places test and said it needed replacement. They refused to replace. Said it was fine. Died and got stuck a week later. Major failure on their part. Try to make it right to their credit after this review but had already purchased a new battery.

It was disappointing to be told at the first oil change, that our new 2015 Mazda Miata is now only worth $15,500. Very sad that it's depreciated that much. Doesn't say much about that car or the dealership that convinced us that we were getting a great deal and value.

I went in to Chapman Mazda for my first oil change (which was complimentary) on my 2016 Mazda 6. I was greeted right away by Jennifer Fox and was shown to the waiting room. I got my oil changed, tires rotated, fluids topped off, and the software on my infotainment center updated to the current version. The service on my was done by Randy Fahlfeder. The service was great and I was treated well.

I had a loud humming sound coming from my from driver side and couldn't figure out what it was for the life of me. So I decided to take my car to Chapman Mazda and I am so thankful I did! Nathan in the service department was awesome! He took such great care of me and my car, called daily to update me, and explained everything so well. He even spoke with my dad on the phone since I am terrible at explaining anything to do with cars. I will go back to him everyday. So happy and my car drives great! He is even replacing my cash since its covered under warranty, I didn't even ask for that! Thanks again!

I was advised I had a leaking front right strut. I saved up the cash to get it replaced along with the right strut as well.. I also had my brake line flushed it was the original 2000 miata brake fluid. So now my brakes work like never before no more fade and My car rides as if new. Other service I had: clean throttle body, fuel injection, dipstick tube leak, new front brakes, new gear oil, When I first received this recommended service list I was skeptical but all the items needed to be done and have improved the ride and performace of my Miata. I am now a believer.

After doing the dealership rodeo for the last two months, I was pleased to work with Kris on purchasing my 2015 CX-5. Side note, completely unrelated to Chapman: It's appalling how many dealerships disrespect your time. When shopping for cars, I usually have a hit list of brands/models I'm interested in. INTERESTED IN. As in, I want to open the door and sit inside the car without a salesman breathing down my neck. I can usually tell within five seconds whether it's something I like or if it just doesn't have the right features. If I like, I want a test drive, and I don't want to wait 45 minutes while you copy my driver's license, try to find the keys, ask your manager, then take your time pulling the car up. Once I test drive, I want a tentative monthly price, just ballpark, so I know whether I can even afford it. If I love it and I feel the salesman isn't a huckster, I will come back after testing out some other cars.Pushy salesmen who rope you into sitting in their office for three hours just to have a bottle of water and ask four different managers questions they should be able to answer... ugh. I'm talking to you, Camelback Honda. Give people the courtesy of a smooth decision. The quality of your service will pay off. If a dealership's motto to their salesmen is "Don't let them leave," you know you're dealing with the wrong guys. That means they are not confident enough with their price to know you will return. Which is basically a different way of saying they are taking advantage of you, big time.But I'm on a tangent. Kris at Chapman was not pushy at all. He let us test drive, gave us their best offer and was perfectly OK with us walking away to have lunch and discuss. I was prepared, once I decided to make the deal, to spend three hours signing paperwork, waiting for them to prep my car, etc. It was done in less than an hour. I've never experienced that before. Well done!My only complaint is that the car doesn't drive quite as smoothly as the one I test drove. So I wonder if they gave me a different model/engine, so they could meet price needs while also giving me all the features on wanted? Still a great car for the price, though. Lots of luxury amenities.Kudos to them for being quick and laid-back. At the end of the day, that speaks volumes to the customer when you put them first instead of desperately trying to guilt them into a sale. I would recommend to anyone I know. Thanks, Kris!

Arrived for a scheduled oil change and was informed that I needed "additional" service. There was nothing wrong with my car. Requested that these services not be performed and or delayed. Service worker alerted me that this long list of items were overdue and a necessity for my children's safety in the vehicle. He provided no documentation to see what the service was really due and did not allow me access to the owner's manual in my vehicle to check his recommendations. In addition, no one had looked at my vehicle yet to prompt anything additional past the oil change. The services were performed. The bill was in excess of $100 more than the range stated before repairs. After arriving home and checking service due requirements in my Mazda manual, discoverred the worker had lied about actual Mazda recommnded services that were due and the mileage specified updates were performed 15,000 miles EARLY. In 30 years of owning multiple vehicles, this is the first time I have been absolutely taken advantage of by a car dealership. Using my children's saety as a false bargining chip to gain unneeded service updates and over selling replacement parts that were not needed is unconscionable.

I have edited this review a few times because of attempts to clarify concerns with Chapman Mazda and to present a balanced review. I did not find my dealings with the dealer to be straightforward. I used Edmunds.com initially and would recommend Edmund for research. However, the dealer had sold the car I got the pricing on, which is understandable, but then told me they would still give me that pricing but they did not. The salesman also said I should look at Edmunds for pricing on different vehicles but not to go through to getting an email/phone call sent again. That made it challenging as you can't see everything about the promised pricing. I told him that and he said he could pull it up. I have no way to verify if he did. I was offered just $500 off standard MSRP. The salesman was nice but that does not outweigh a feeling of not having the best price. The dealer did contact me after the complaint but is sticking to $500 is Edmunds' standard price discount. The dealer is forgetting that I got the initial price discount and still have the certificate and can see that it is more than $500 and I was promised the same discount by the salesman on any other car I bought. It is insulting my intelligence to say it is $500 when I can see it is not. A learning lesson for all is to not accept any price on good faith of it being through a 3rd party. That 2 weeks later, they are still not treating me straight forwardly is very disappointing. Management may also want to tell the nice salesman that he shouldn't say he will honor one car's pricing discount on any other cars. My recommendation is to not buy a car from Chapman. If they amend the situation, I will certainly be happy to say so and update the review. What should have been a moment of magic with a new car has been moments of sadness.

Great experience. Had to do a major service for my car. Nathan helped me through the experience, itemized the changes to be made, and was very friendly and helpful. The only issue I would mention is that the service is a bit pricey. You can get the same thing done outside for quarter the price quoted at Mazda. And they don't add any freebies as well. Hope they make some changes to attract more customers.

Took my car in for service due to it lunging forward when trying to park or stop at a stop light. I told the advisor it's only happened a few times in the last 4 months. They drove it 4 miles and returned the car in approx 30 minutes including the wash and claimed nothing was wrong with it. The service advisor Nathan Nicksic is rude and has no business in customer service. From the start he was rude in telling me I should've planned ahead and had a ride because that kind of problem takes awhile to finish and without knowing whether my warranty covers a rental or not he assumed it didn't and they wouldn't be taking care of a rental. He brought my car back and said his mechanic is certified so I don't have a problem with my car. They didn't take the time to figure out the problem as it's still there. I don't appreciate being called a liar and he displayed attitude throughout the entire visit. Horrible horrible experience and to top it off he gives me a letter asking to rate him truly exceptional and if he didn't provide that to call him and give him another chance. I wouldn't subject myself to that horrible service willingly.

Inefficiency seems to be the name of the game here. We decided on a used vehicle after test driving several cars. The used car sales manager played the part to right down to the story about how he stayed by his wife's side during her cancer treatment. Then, it took over 1 hour to sign all the paperwork in financing and only after we chased down our salesperson to see what was going on. We literally sat 45 minutes in the finance department without anyone acknowledging our presence nor waiting on us and we were the only ones sitting in the reception area. Once the salesperson contacted them they took another 2o minutes to get paperwork ready and then they acted like they were doing us a favor. If it had not been for the fact that this is the car my son wanted we would have left them hanging. We definitely will not be returning to this agency and very disappointed that they represent Mazda.

I purchased my 2007 Mazda Rx-8 from Chapman Mazda, and have had all my service and oil changes done there. Usually because I have an Owner's club Card the oil change is $10.00, however, when i arrived for the 70,000 mile oil change, I was quoted $29.99. I mentioned I had the Owner's Club Card, and Sally McNulty (my Service Representative) explained that Chapman had change to the new price because their costs had risen since the Owner's Club had been originally created. I thought for a moment, and then realized that this was understandable. After all, since 2007 I have have had 13 oil changes at that $10.00 price (once every 5000 miles), so I can't complain. When I told this to Sally she thanked me for understanding the situation. During the inspection that accompanies the oil change, the tech noticed that I had two worn motor mounts, and I had these replaced. Sally checked and discovered they were covered by my extended warranty and so this only cost me my $100.00 deductible. So that was also a pleasant surprise.This service experience was not an aberration. Every time I have had service done at Chapman Mazda, it has been an excellent experience, and they have kept my Rx-8 in excellent condition.

3 words for the Chapman Mazda Service Department: BAIT AND SWITCH!I purchased a brand new Mazda a few years back and have gotten all of my maintainces done by them. With the purchase of my new CX-9, I got LIFETIME Oil Changes for $10! What a great deal! I know that by going to the dealership they will find new and ingenious ways to bring that cost up by finding things wrong with it. I was fine with that. HOWEVER...when I went in on Saturday morning, they found no other things to fix. Great. I go to pay for it and it's $36+. This is nearly 4 times the cost of my $10 LIFETIME Oil Change. I was told by the service writer that they got rid of that plan and no longer honor it. Needless to say, I will no longer be going to the dealership to purchase anything or get my repairs done there. Also, I will not be buying another Mazda because of this.

I am a operation manager by profession . I live in pa. I took my daughters 2010 Mazda in for break pads and a oil change routine .I was insulted by the price that was charged to my daughter. I'm aware of a fair profit in business. But to be charged triple the price Is obscured . Plus the time period we waited was terrible, we waited 3 1/2 hrs. And the charge was $360.00 dollars. Purchased my 2014 Mazda CX-5 from Chapman in Oct 2013 and this was the first service visit. The service representative I usually work with (John Bennett) was not available so Sally stepped in and booked my vehicle in for service. Sally was delightful and very friendly. She kept me abreast of the vehicle's status and I was on my way about 1.5 hours later. The process went very smooth, cost was reasonable, and they even washed the vehicle. I live in Goodyear but will still bring my vehicle to Chapman for future servicing and have recommended them to my friends as well. I was treated with the same level of high customer service as when I bought the vehicle.

Our experience initially began with an internet inquiry with Michael Knox. He was very helpful in our research phase. When it came time for our test drive, Michael was with another customer, so Tim Murphy stepped in. He was very helpful in not just TELLING but SHOWING all of the many features of the CX 5 Grand Touring we were interested . Sadly another dealership neglected to do that. We don't negotiate on pricing, ( don't have the patience) We asked what plainly and simply what was the lowest price he would accept. Happlly the number came within 73 dollars of what we had in our minds. The good news didn't stop there. Jose Pelayo was able to get us an even lower interest rate for our financing and saved us roughly $60 per month. I would recommend that anyone considering a new Mazda purchase, to seek out Either Michael Knox or Tim Murphy for any questions. They are a great team!

I will never purchase from Chapman Mazda again, that's for sure! I dealt with David on the weekend of Feb 15th, 2014. He is actually a really nice guy! Not sure why he works for them! David was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end through my first used car purchase. It was the Finance Director, Jose Pelayo, and the Sales Manager, Kim, who were rude and just plain liars. My partner and I had negotiated with David to have some things included in the purchase and we thought everything was said and done...then we went back into the finance office with Jose and he informed us that the extras that we thought would be included in the purchase price were actually not and we would have to pay for them separately. We began questioning Jose about this and after telling us that there was no way that they could include those things he was very quick to say, "You can go talk to David about that, I don't deal with these things. You were supposed to have these things resolved before you guys came in here." ...and trust me, I have an impeccable memory about things that are said to me...So we go back outside to talk with David about this and we hear Jose telling David and Kim that he doesn't deal with this stuff. Next enter Kim. He sits down in David's chair and asks us what is going on. We tell him that we negotiated with David to have these things included in the purchase, that we essentially wanted THEM to pay for it, and he says, "Yeah, we can't do that." We ask him if there is any way he can add in some other things (car accessories, etc.) or take money off of the car purchase price to make up to the $750 worth of extra product we thought we were going to have included. He tells us "No, there is no way we can reduce this invoice price. We don't just have $750 to give you." After a few more exchange of words he says, "Well, I can take off $250 from the invoice price." I respond with, "But you just said that you couldn't take ANYTHING off of the price." He says, "Well, I can't take $750 off, but I can take $250 off..." So at this point I'm furious. I had already been lied to twice. Whether they meant to lie to me or not, they made themselves liars by what they said, not what they meant.We took the deal anyway and we went back into the finance office to make a deal.As we are running through the numbers, I notice a $228 VTR charge listed as "optional." I ask, "What is this? Can I take it off since it's listed as optional?" Jose begins to explain what it is and tells me that we cannot remove it because it has already been installed. I say, "...so, it says optional but it doesn't mean what it says, right?" and he remains silent. I ignore it and continue through the papers. I asked him a few more questions, some of which he would respond with "Oh, don't worry about that, that's irrelevant." and I would say, "Well, can you tell me anyway?" For example, there was a document that had a section for the car's MSRP/NADA value. I asked, "Why isn't this number in here? Can you put it in there?" He says, "Oh, don't worry about that, it's irrelevant." I say, "Ok, but can you please put it in there?" "You don't need it. You have your purchase price here" *he points to odometer number* "No, that's the odometer reading. The purchase price is down here...but I want the NADA value in there. Can you write it in?" He looks at me as if he had just seen a ghost and reluctantly says, "...um...ok...um...I'll do it just for you." He wrote that number in so slowly, as if waiting for the world to end at any moment. He was silent after that as he waited for me to inspect it and finish reading through the document. That NADA number was $636 less than the purchase price AFTER that $250 "discount" that we received, a 4.6% difference in value and purchase price. But it was really not the price of the car that bothered us, it was the way things were handled and how things that were said (written down in the case of the "optional" VTR) were not held up. Our request was NOT included, he actually WAS able to take money off from the car price, and VTR was NOT optional. Pay attention to what these sales people say...or in this case DON'T say or mean. This was our VERY FIRST car purchase from a dealer with financing and Chapman Mazda ruined the experience for me.

Drove from Ahwatukee all the way to Bell Rd. to buy a used Mazda CX-5 from another dealer. The other dealer told me the car was there at lunch time, but said it was sold after I made the 45 minute drive. Out of curiosity, if not frustration, I stopped in Chapman Mazda to see if they had any used CX-5s. No luck with the used car, but one of the managers, Kim, suggested I might be surprised at what they could do on a new one. Honestly figured the price would be more than I'd be willing to pay for new, but after putting numbers together we were closer than I'd imagined. Eventually I paid just a little more than the used car I was originally going to buy!This is our second new Mazda from Chapman and both times felt like I was dealing with friendly professionals and not the typical high pressure smoke and mirrors types employed at some other dealers. I'd certainly recommend Chapman Mazda. The whole experience was about as pleasant as car buying can get.

I came in with a major issue with my manual transmission. With my previous experience with manual transmissions I believed that I had a bad release bearing. In my experience I've never had that happen in under 50,000 miles. I understood that the powertrain warranty did not cover most clutch components and actually expected to pay more than the estimate. I approved the work and they found out that not only was the bearing bad but it had siezed and was frozen to the shaft within the housing. The work took a week, but you have to understand work involved to know why I was amazed that that was it. Blake kept me well up to date with everything as it happened. When something unexpected happened to delay the work he notified me promptly and even offered me a free rental. Overall, there is not enough I can say about Blake and Chapman Mazda's service dept. Because of the problem with bell housing causing internal issues all was covered by the warranty. Even without that, I would still feel the same way. I feel I was not only treated fairly, but treated right. If you need service on your Mazda I can't think of anywhere better.

First off, I want to say that customer service was excellent. I dealt with John, and he was professional and courteous throughout (!). When I forgot my discount coupon at home, he even went so far as to print me an extra one. They also hooked me up with a loaner car for the day from the Enterprise near by. Between dropping off my car and getting the loaner, it only took about 30 minutes, which was excellent. Enterprise was also had excellent customer service, and gave me a brand-new car for the day.That said, I had a few concerns after my visit:1. The cost. Chapman advertised a major tune-up for approx. $250 dollars (rental car included). Mine ended up costing $650+ taxes after a $50 discount. Albeit that I had a couple more fluids changed, this still seems a bit pricey for the work done. Nonetheless, one expects to pay more when they go to a dealer because they're using genuine parts, fluids, etc. 2. I asked them to check out some minor engine shuddering that occurs when the vehicle is completely stopped. They couldn't repeat the condition, but attributed it to 'varnish' build-up. They removed this build-up for free, but charged me $120 for the inspection of this condition. Unfortunately the car still shudders, but a little bit less than before. After doing some research online, I found out that this is a very common problem with the Mazda 3. Apparently the engine mounts are junk, and when the compressor kicks in you really feel it throughout the car. Not much can be done about this, other than replacing all the mounts (expensive). If the car fan is off, the shuddering doesn't occur.3. They wanted $200 to replace the battery. I'll be doing this myself for less than that. They also wanted $300 to fix a door lock that sticks. I'm going to try to find cheaper.Again, the customer service was amazing, and I was very impressed with how quickly they got all work done (it went in at 9am, was done at 4:30pm). After posting my original review, Chapman followed up with me to address all of my concerns, and I'm satisfied with how they addressed them. They even offered to explain their pricing system line by line, which was appreciated. Accordingly, given the high level of customer service and follow-up, I would consider Chapman for future service.

I wouldn't even give the Bell Road Mazda Service Dep't ONE star. I thought I was in good hands, because my mom had been working with Pete since he was at Hyundai when she owned a vehicle with them, and now serviced her Mazda at this dealership where he worked. Well, I took the vehicle in for the oil change in September, to be told the motor mount is cracked BUT covered under warranty. They did not have the part in at that time, but Pete assured me it was covered under warranty and to let him know when I have the time to bring the car back in. No big deal, until I drive away and realize the tech BROKE the Left/Right toggle switch to adjust the side mirrors, and shoved the driver side vent adjuster clean into the dash somehow. I called Pete right away and came back. He peeked his head inside the car and I showed him the issues, and he felt the mirror switch was broken, then manually adjusted the passenger mirror for me so I could drive safely. I did not have another hour & 1/2 to wait for them to fix this, so Pete assured me they would take care of it at my next visit. Here it is December, I have a little time to bring it in, and Pete no longer works there. I explained in detail to John Friedman what happened, thinking the issue would be easily resolved as Pete said. John reached out to Pete, who remembers my mom, remembers me, my last visit with the car, but conveniently DOES NOT remember the switch being broken, the vent adjuster, OR manually adjusting my mirror for me, and did NOT note my account regarding the part # of the cracked motor mount OR TAT IT WAS CRACKED! So basically, I am being called a liar about their tech breaking the switch, AND the motor mount can't be called in until they have the car there, to see which part it is. So there's a good chance I will have to sit there only to be told they don't have the part. And now, I will have to pay for the part their tech broke and who knows about the warranty covering the motor mount since the mileage is drastically different by thousands. THUMBS DOWN. Do NOT expect to be taken care of if they do something wrong. As adults, most of us learn to take responsibility for what we do wrong, and to do a good job at whatever we do-like noting someone's account properly... but not The Chapman Mazda Service Dep't. Now I will be taking my vehicle to the Camelback location from now until I sell the Mazda and wash my hands with the company. Wish me luck... The is why I drive a Volkswagen-they know how to take care of their customers.

I give this Mazda store hi marks because: If you have been to a big box store to be serviced or to buy a car you will understand what I'm about to say. This store makes you feel like family. From the GM to the service writer, service manager and my tech's Chris and Randy...this store is personable and very customer focused. I challenge anyone to go into a Van Tyul, or Earnhardt store and ask for the GM. go ahead...knock yourself out. He's in meetings or busy...why? Because they have 300-400 employees and a monthly nut to hit that would choke you. Prospects and customers are a means to an end for them. Mazda has an amazing line with their SkyActive '14's. I love my Mazda 6 and enjoy making the rounds at the store when I need an oil change or have something that needs to be done to the car. IF YOU WANT A FAIR PRICE ON YOUR NEXT CAR, AND YOU WANT TO ESTABLISH A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR DEALER...this is the store you need to become familiar with. Internet Mgr. Michael Knox responded quickly and fairly with a very competitive quote right off the bat. He came in on his day off to show us the vehicle, 2014 Mazda 6 GT, which we then purchased after going round and round with some of the other dealers. There were no surprises or changes to the quote after arriving and the price and terms were more than competitive with the other dealers. This is my third Mazda and I'm sold on the brand and will be doing all of my business here as long as they have personnel like Michael.

First and foremost, Dave provided a great, no pressure sales experience. The process of buying a car is always a difficult one, considering the amount of money involved, and it is much worse to deal with a high pressure salesman, and the high pressure "What can I do to get you into a car today?" Dave did none of that, neither did the leaders at Chapman Mazda. They provided a fair price up front, which, according to Edmunds.com, was even a little below the True Market Value, and they worked with us on our trade-in price. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend someone looking for a car to give Chapman Mazda, specifically Dave Snyder, the opportunity to show you a great buying experience.

I purchased a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback with a manual transmission on 7/21/2013 and worked with David Snyder as the sales rep and Jim Duncan as the finance manager. I originally visited on 7/4/2013 and test drove the car with David. During the interim, David was extremely responsive to my numerous questions regarding financing, payment methods, and promotions. On the 21st, I was in and out in just about an hour and a half. The negotiation was relatively quick, one or two iterations, and painless. I got out the door about $300 over what I was hoping to pay, but about a thousand less than I was fearing I'd have to pay. I didn't push the negotiation very hard and felt no pressure from David. David races under a Mazda sponsorship, and was very knowledgable about Mazda (referencing a truck Mazda manufactured in the 70s) despite being only a few weeks on the job.Jim Duncan was helpful as the finance manager. The best package for me involved a 4.99% loan for 60 months. (I was able to get better cash rebates this way, so didn't take advantage of the 0% offer.) In the last couple of days, I've been working with Jim and a credit union lender to use a loan I secured on my own with a better rate. Jim has been very helpful and flexible about waiting to cash the original loan agreement and getting this done. The extra $800 interest I save over the life of the loan isn't a huge deal, but it matters to me.Presumably I could've gotten the last $300 dollars down to the out-the-door price I wanted had I pushed, but I'm not a fan of negotiations and the price I got was adequate and fair. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I hope the Mazda is reliable enough that I won't have to do it again any time soon.

Was told when I bought my vehicle that I have lifetime synthetic oil chnage for 24.99for the mazda 2 that I bought new here. When I went to first oil change was told that that was subject to change and now it is 49.99. I guess they figure 4 and 1/2 months is a lifetime. No integrity...do not deal with them at all.

Had a great experience. They really worked hard to get us into the car that we really wanted and not what we would have to settle for. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted with warmth and excitment to try to find the perfect car. David was very knowledgeable about the CX 9 and answered all my questions. I did not feel like I was being treated like I didn't know anything about cars. JD worked hard to get the car I really wanted into a price range that we could afford and overall we walked away with a car I've been wanting to get into for the past five years. We had looked at another dealership in Tucson where they tried to sell me a used car with a dirty interior and treated me like I didn't know what I wanted or that I knew about the car I wanted. I would gladly drive the extra 2.5 hours to deal with Chapman again because of their excellent service.

Knowing that this dealers regular oilchange price is lower than main lubefranchise like jiffy and the like, itried them out several months ago, twice. They didnt try and upsell anything by being dramatic. Because of that, i Took my 2010 Mazda 5 in for service at 60k miles. Staff was as friendly and professional as usual. A lot of things had tobe done to my car (brakes, plugs, tranny and cooling service, suspension) that was coming from the cold (PA), so I ended up with a pretty hefty quote, over $1300. Crew totally worked with us with differing anything that could be done later safely, and provided great coupons. In the end, they went as far as taking a suspension claim under warranty, in spite of the car being out of it by about 5k miles!Our final bill came in over 500 bucks under initial bill. Josh walked me through everything thathadbeen done upon pick up. Then, About to pay, I'm asking the cashier to add the large cold monster energy drink I just picked up in the waiting area and it was free! Great job guys! I'll be back!

With in calling the dealership Jordan answered and give me all the answers about the car I was looking for with out being the typical salesman and useing the excuse " just come in and see it" . I agreeded to come see the car. As arriving at the dealership Jordan had the car front and center with everything show ready. Jordan And Mike T. were very laid back and didn't push us into anything. JP did everything in his power to help me get approved for the car of my dreams. Everyone at the dealership is very friendly and they make sure customers are completely happy on their purchases. I did hit a rough patch due to a lousey detail and no gas in my new car but Gary was very understanding and make sure it was done right and that I was satisfied before leaving a second time. Chapman strives for best in customer service and that's what you will get there. Ask for Jordan he's hassle free and very understanding.

I was sent a card a couple or years ago stating that I was guaranteed 9.99$ oil changes for as long as I owned my car. I am in today for an oil change and to my surprise they are now stating they won't be letting me continue the oil changes at that price. They said that it is only meant for those who perform their maintenance at their dealership. I have not had any maintenance done yet on my car and actually need to have a part replaced. I was planning on asking for a competitive bid today but after the way they went back on their word I will not let them touch my car. On their web site they advertise a 30 minute oil change. I made an appointment and they told me it was going to take an hour and a half! That is a ridiculous amount of time for an oil change. I won't be coming back.

Chapman Mazda is not the dealership from which I purchased my Mazda 6 years ago, but it is closer to my house than my original dealer, so several months ago I thought I'd give this Mazda dealer a try. The waiting area, although small, is clean and has a telvision and 4 or 5 chairs. For scheduled mileage maintenance, my vehicle had an oil change and new oil filter, new air filter, and a can of fuel injector cleaner poured in the gas tank, all for quite a high price. The Mazda Full Circle Service Report was also performed, as listed on my invoice (standard at Mazda dealerships), but the report card was never given to me. Needless to say, I will not return to this dealership.

I had a routine oil change with a tire rotation. I was able to call and get the time slot that I needed as well. My service guy came in and informed me that they had found a nail in my tire and was fixing it (for free). Free is something that most people don't ever think they could get from a dealership! I have told several co-workers and one is looking into purchasing a Mazda from the dealership now.

When they heard it was an air conditioning issue that couldn't be resolved immediately, they got me into a different vehicle right away with working air conditioning. Everyone i dealt with was courteous and had great customer service skills. The problems were addressed and my car was ready (and clean!!) when they said it would be.

We drove from Tucson because the prices were better. Eith construction and sand storm it took us 2 hours to get there and we arrived shortly before closing.However-Henry and Pablo met us in the lot and were happy to see us. We test drove 2 cars and couldn't decide-all of the prices were better than we had hoped for and much more to choose from. We decided on the Scion XD andit was about 10pm before everything was finishe. We offered to come back the next day to finish but they didn't want us to have to drive back. I never felt pressured or uneasy-I felt like I was with friends. Nobody glanced at their watch or mumbled under their breath-they truly seemed to be happy to be helping.They even made sure we were safe to make the long drive home that late. After not having a car for 3 years-it was nice to drive home.If car buying was always that easy and unstressful-people would buy cars more often! I will reccomend and use Chapman again!

When I pulled up to the service area no one was there to greet me. Then, a very nice man came out. I am not sure of his name. He started to help me. Then Josh, who I made the appointment with came. He was not friendly or very helpful. I felt as if I was interrupting him. When I returned, Josh continued with his unfriendly manner. I man that was first helping me in the morning come out and was once again very friendly and attentive to me. Josh told me that I just needed to check out and he left with no explanation of the work that had been done on my car.

While visiting the other dealerships, they pressured me and seemed like they did not value the customer at all, but Chapman Mazda was very friendly and connected to me. The vehicle selection was also very extensive and I could find a Mazda 3 that fit all the requirements I had. I came into Chapman mazda for an oil change on my 99 Mazda Protege. Josh was super helpful and helped ease the news that it needed nearly $2,500 in repairs. I was familiar with the Kelly Blue Book value, so I knew it was probably time to trade it in. Josh introduced me to a super salesman, Ali. Ali helped me purchase a new 11 Mazda CX7. He was knowlegdable about Mazdas and not a typical pushy salesman. I love it, and I love Mazdas.I worked with Jose (JP) in the financing area, and he was very nice, helpful, and had a lot of information. He wasn't pushy or aggressive with the add ons, which was a relief!Since the service was so good, the next day, I brought my 05 Mazda Tribute in for an oil change, Once again, Josh was very helpful and helped ease the news that it needed over $1,000 in repairs. The repairs required special order parts, and Josh got me a loaner vehicle until the Tribute was ready.The whole time I was at the dealership (which was a long time over 2-3 days time), I met a handful of people who stopped to ask me how things were going and congratulated me on my new purchase, or just being friendly in general. It wasn't just one person- it was the whole team, and even those not involved in the immediate service!! Nice touch.

My wife and I have moved to AZ and needed a new car. Being Executive memebers of Costco, but living in Sedona, we knew it was a wise choice to buy a car in Phx. Costoco led us to Chapman Mazda. We went there to test drive and confirm the vehicle we wanted. Initially, we were a bit confused, but after numerous conversations we were able to straighten it all out. We decided to pay cash for the car, which expedited the deal. And, speaking of deal, going with Costco made it a no-hassle experience.Michael Knox was great in helping us get the vehicle we finally decided to buy. And Danny Corrales helped us get everything in order and into the car effortlessly. We've never owned an SUV, but would highly recomomend this vehicle to others. We like it more than the Acura MDX, and given it's reasonable price, we prefer the CX-9 to the Lexus or BMW X-5.We highly recommend the CX-9 Grand Touring and do not truly understand why Consumer Reports did not rate it higher.We really appreciate the attitude at Chapman and would certainly return for service, to buy another car, or just recommend it to others.Sincerely,Marc J. This was my third vehicle purchase and it has been, by far, the best experience I have had. Roxanne was super nice the minute she walked up to me and my mom. Told her exactly what I was looking for, and invited us in to see what she had in inventory. I forgot my id at home, and by the time I got back she had "The" car that I wanted. The test drive was perfect, and she gave me details on a number of things regarding the car and purchase. When we got back from the test drive and started writing up the papers, Roxanne asked what price I was looking to pay and came back the FIRST time with an acceptable offer!!! I was amazed to say the least. I walked out of the dealership 3 hours later (also amazed me) with the exact car I wanted! Jose was warm and friendly and asked if we'd like our car washed as well as our oil changed. What a wonderful surprise and boy did our car need it! I was a long time Honda fan, but ended up visiting Chapman Mazda. I ended up purchasing a Mazda 3HB and although I love the car, I am so very impressed with the dealership, I will most definately see them first when I'm ready to trade in. My wife's RX-8 went in for auto transmission issues. I was concerned that to learn that the transmission needed replacement at 59000 miles and that this would be an major issue. Josh was very professional, assured me that the problem was still under warranty and arranged for a loaner car. I had the necessary 60k service and a few minor issues performed at the same time, some of it had already been done by me and another shop, but I didn't get the hard sell to do unnecessary work. The vehicle was done on time, delivered clean and all the work seems fine. Very pleased and would recommend them for service work. My only negatives are minor, the book labor rate for a few of the minor issues repaired seemed steep, I am likely to do those myself next time. Also I failed to inquire about the warranty on the new transmission and no one thought to inform me.

As usual, everytime I have service done at Chapman Mazda I am greeted with a smile and a helpful service representative. I live out in Buckeye, and would gladly drive the extra miles to receive the type of customer service that Chapman Mazda gives. A great example was yesterday when I brought my car in for routine service. I had told the service representative that the tire pressure sensor light had come on the day before. Any other dealer would have told me to fill it up myself and that would have taken care of the problem. I knew I could just fill it up myself, but the service representative was very helpful and had already said he would have his technicians take care of it. I like working with Chapman Mazda and will definitely be going to them for all my service needs.

I am a repeat customer at this Mazda dealership, and I keep going back because of the honesty and professionalism of the employees. Most often I work with Pete, but all the employees are consistently friendly and helpful. There is a courtesy shuttle which is a real lifesaver sometimes, and I regularly get coupons in the mail for discounts on service, which I appreciate. When I drop my car off the turnaround time is often less than what I am told to expect. Go Team Mazda! Zoom-zoom!

Pete remembered a conversation that we had the previous time I was at the dealership. He asked me how I was doing and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Because I was there do to a recall, I was not charged for any services performed and they took really good care of my by getting me a rental for the day so I would not be stuck there. Also, when I arrived to pick up my car the next day, it was washed and waiting for me in better condition than when I dropped it off. All in all it was excellent service!

We found a wonderful place to get our car oil changed for $10 and we know that they will let us know if our vehicles need any other service. As usual, getting my car serviced was a pleasant experience. I always receive great customer service. Pete was as friendly as could be, and was helpful in answering certain questions I had with my car's issues. Wait time was minimal, however, the waiting room wasn't quite as comfortable as it used to be. There were not enough chairs for everyone to sit, and there was a sign posted stating the area was a "quiet" area, therefor the television was kept at an inaudible level. The sign also stated it was a "quiet" area so that anyone wishing to use the WiFi computer could do so. Not exactly sure they intended for folks to use it to play internet video games, which unfortunately, we were all subjected to listen to. (Would have been a lot more interested in seeing what the news broadcast was, instead of trying to read the newscasters lips.) One other small disappointment- service once included a car wash. Didn't receive one this time, perhaps they were just a little too busy on this particular day. I highly recommend Chapman for their consistent customer service and their reasonable prices.

The service person is responsive and friendly as soon as you get there. They take a personalized approach to the service of your vehicle so you know who your rep is. It's nice when your appointment time is respected too. The wait isn't long, but for the time I was in the waiting area, it wasn't bad at all with donuts, coffee, vending, television and free internet. One thing I really appreciate is in the many times I've been, I've never felt pressured into buying services I don't need like at some auto care places.

My car was damaged in an accident and the guys at the Chapman Mazda service department were excellent. They dealt with my insurance to get the supplemental repairs approved. I was concerned that the car might not drive the same after the accident but to be honest it actually drives better. The work was completed in a timely manner and I was given access to a courtesy car while my car was in the shop. Overall, it was a great experience and I have decided to make this my regular dealership for service, even though it is farther away than the dealership I was using previously.

I had to do a major service and he helped me determine what was necessary and what didn't need to be done based upon my previous car services. If I were to summarize my experience, I would say that he was looking out for me rather than my having to be cautious of what service was trying to be imposed upon me.

The only thing we wish was different is that we could use all locations for service. My husband works in Tempe and it's hard to get in to get service because it's not close to where we live. When the guy came in to tell me everything that needed to be done to my car, I looked down at the estimate and was under the impression that it was $0 for the three extra things that he said my car could not live without. Well to my surprise, when all was said and done, I ended up paying $320 more than I went there for...all I wanted was an oil change and I kind of feel like I was taken advantage of because I am a young woman that doesn't know much about cars! I know I should have asked the price before it was all done, but I also feel like he was trying to be deceiving by not telling me the price straight forward. Otherwise he was very nice.

Not only were did the service personnel impress me, I felt reassured knowing that the dealership was part of the BBB. I will continue to use this dealership's service department to service my Mazda 5. The one thing I have to say is that the dealership phone number should be listed on all printed materials sent out. I do not like to do business via a website.

I gave a good rating because:I was able to get an appointment early on Saturday.I was promptly received by Peter when I pulled in to the service department, and as always, he was very friendly.The waiting room had a computer for use by waiting customers, a tv which was, thank goodness, muted, comfy chairs, comfy temperature, fresh coffee and donuts.The maintenance my car required was done very quickly, in about 2 hours.The price was okay, but I do wish it had been lower.I felt this survey required too much of an effort - I am disgruntled that I have to "register" - Sigh.....

I had an engine prolem with a used Miata I bought from the dealership. They went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get the car fixed and they absorbed their fair share of the cost for a problem that was not their fault even though Mazda corporate declined any participation. I commend the store for doing the right thing and I will be a future service and sales customer thanks to the way they handled this situation. I bought my Mazda couple months ago and started hearing some noise from the back side few days ago. Got an appointment from Norman to check the car. They were nice as always and the free shuttle service was very helpfull.They fixed my car in couple hours. During my visit Salesman Ali Birinci helped us to check the new Mazda 2. I showed up with no appointment, described my problem and at the same time it was time for a 15000 mile service. My guy explained how great a deal that was and we did it plus they solved the problem of the idle going up and down. The customer lounge is very comfortable with a good flat screen TV tuned into a great news channel. Plussssssssssssss donuts. You hardly ever see that anymore. They got me in and out in approx. 1 hr. Plus the general manager stopped over to talk to me. It was a real nice experience.

It was the day after a holiday and I didn't call before I showed up. They listened to what my problem was with the idle on my car, it was also time for my 15,000 mile service and I mentioned the coupons that had been mailed out to me for a special price . They took me in and within two hours had everything completed plus my problem with the idle solved. The customer lounge was very clean and entertaining. My service man was extremely helpful in determining what I needed to do to keep my car running smooth. I also met the manager of the dealership again who always makes it a point to stop by and say hello. My whole experience has always been great and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a Mazda.

I think the price for an oil change is awesome. The waiting area is one of the best I have ever seen. I've been to others and they are not so comfortable. We have an issue with our carpeting in our car and the service tech explained what was done at the time of the visit and what we could expect in the next few days. So far, we are really satisfied with what we have seen from Mazda.

This is my first Mazda purchase. I am happy with this car at this point. I wanted to make note that the main reason I decided to go with Champman Mazda (and Mazda overall) was due to one of your sales associates...Roxanne. She was friendly, courteous, and ABOVE ALL...a no pressure sales person. I just moved to AZ and have interacted with a good number of sales people. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience with the exception of Chapman Mazda. Roxanne was the ONLY person that respected my request for no phone calls or emails. She let me drive our interaction. I greatly appreciated her business manner and want you to know that she represents your organization in an EXCELLENT manner.

The repairs I had seemed somewhat duplicated within the span of 6mos. My car is aging and many parts I understand will break down over time. I'm pleased with the service at Chapman and the recent repair has finally got my car performing well again. The Chapman service team does a good job with performance issues with my car. The customer service is excellent and clearly fills the gap when difficult repairs are required and become cumbersome.

It was my pleasure to stop by Chapman Mazda on Aug 27. 2010 to meet with Mr. Pabst in the service dept. Since he had given me the most excellent service on my 2008 Miata, naturally I returned to Chapman. On this day I was driving my 2003 Miata. I had been having trouble with reverse stick shift. (Hard to get into reverse). Oil chg was also needed. As usual Mr. Pabst did a superb job while I enjoyed coffee and donuts. "Oh my goodness what do I spy over there? Could that be a 2010 Miata?"Well it was and I bought it. I now have 4 Miatas. 1991, 2003, 2008 2010. I probably qualify for some grand prize from Mazda for my loyalty. I would drive nothing else.Mr. Bishop is the epitome of a professional finance gentleman. He explained everything and I felt like I got a super deal.Matt is Mr. Personality. Thus an excellent addition to your sales force. Watch him grow. He will probably run the place one day.Thanks for all the fun and my gorgeous Copper Red Miata with that oh so fancy hard top. Up until this point I've been very satisfied with Mazda. The visit prior to this I was getting multiple things done to the car and I was not informed that a part had been ordered. When I received a call that a part was in I was on vacation and unavailable. The next time I was called the lady I spoke to was quite rude about the part "being there a long time". Considering I was unaware a part was even ordered in the first place and had been on vacation I'm not sure that it was necessary to be rude to a customer on the phone. Norm was much better to deal with and was able to get me in later in the week when it would work with my schedule.

Went in for 1st oil change,and check up. The whole dealership is very attentive, and offer friendly service. They did a great job and I got a free car wash as well! My sales guy even came over to ask how I was liking my new car and asked if I had any questions or concerns. The finance guy even came over to chat. Very nice dealership!

Good product, no games, no stupid sales pitches. I like the $9.95 oil change even though I am over 25 miles away I will use them for service. The car is for my wife, so I need it to be safe and manuverable(very good turning radius. We are retired and have limited income and the price and incentives was very good for us. Everyone was very friendly and polite, and the whole atmosphere was low key- never pushy.

Everything was done to my satisfaction and the Service Manager (can't remember his name) was extremely nice and personable. This is ridiculous that the survey will not go through unless I've typed at least 250 characters. The service I had done was not in depth enough to warrant more verbage. You need to change this part of the survey.

I would not change my sales experience with Chapman Mazda in any way. I was very disappointed, even frustrated with my interactions with other dealers in the Phoenix area. Chapman Mazda was an entirely different sales experience that was simply fantastic, especially in comparison to other dealers. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, 'real people' that I enjoyed dealing with. Also, the price was fantastic - they really worked hard to get me into the vehicle I truly wanted. Moreover, Mike McClaskey, Tim Murphy and Ali were relaxed, friendly and helpful because they knew that the sales experience I desired. This is true customer service. I have read other reviews of Chapman Mazda from 1+ years ago and was initially concerned they were be like everyone else - high pressure, agressive and even dishonest. That could not have been further from the truth. Apparently, major changes have taken place or those reviews were inaccurate. Given my experiences, I will always be giving Chapman Mazda my business in the future.

Pete provided excellent customer service. He kept me informed and had me out exactly the time he said and that never happened in the past. I was extremely pleased with his service and explanations of what needed to be done with the car. Compared to where I recently brought my car and the estimates I had received from them, I did feel the cost was somewhat higher. I was pleased to see a change in personnel because I would prefer Mazda perform the maintenance and repair for my vehicle.

I had an appointment on 8/19/10, with Michael McClaskey to buy a new Mazda 3. The appointment was scheduled between 10 and 11 am. The appointment was made on 8/18/10. I had exchanged emails with Frank Lemos for several days and was ready to buy. I drove 3 hours to get there, only to find it was McClaskey's day off. No one knew I was coming. Frank Lemos, would not be there until 1. I would have at least a 3 hour wait, if I wanted to wait for him. McClaskey had not bothered to tell him I was coming. No one could reach Lemos by phone. So I was stood up! I would tell anyone to not bother with this dealership, as they do not keep their word and will waste a customer's time.

The customer service was good, but had to wait 10 minutes in service drive in the heat for someone to help me, so that is the reason I could not rate cust serv as great. As for the quality of the work, I had an oil change, and they did not clean off the spilled oil on the engine, so I could not give a great rating on that. Everything else was great. :-) Overall it was a nice experience.

Norm went above and beyond our expectations. We had a mishap with our sunroof, literally exploded when we were driving...a very frightening experience. This occured while on vacation in Colorado and none of the dealers there were able to remedy the situation. Knowing that we were leaving back to Phoenix the next day, we called Chapman Mazda, (they normally service our Mazda CX-9) and they said they would have the new sunroof there by the time we arrive back in town. Norm thought the incident was strange and initiated a "rep" to look into potentially warranting the repair. We were fully ready to pay for the repair even though we thought we weren't to blame...just thought maybe it was a "freak" accident. After having met with the "rep," Norm phoned to inform us that this has occured in several other cases, specifically in the darker finished cars, such as black and plum. He mentioned further that Mazda was looking into this phenomenon and that because of this, Mazda was going to warranty this repair. Wow!!! What a pleasant surprise! I think Norm could have told us that it was just as we thought, a "freak" accident and had us pay for the repair. But, because of his honesty and integrity, he did the right thing and we are truly appreciative of this; and believe he deserves recognition for such a deed. Unfortunately, in this day and age, these character traits are few and far between, and because of his service "honesty," we will definitively continue to have our car serviced through Norm Rosen and this dealership. Chapman Mazda, you have a fine and honorable employee in Norm Rosen...THANK YOU! Oh, and not to forget Amber! Upon returning from Colorado, in our haste unloading the car before bringing to the dealership, my wife inadvertently lost an earring somewhere in the car. This earring had a very sentimental value in that my wife's mother, who had just recently been diagnosed with breast cancer on our vacation, had given this to her as a gift before leaving. My wife called the dealership upon discovering she had lost the earring in hopes of recovering it somewhere in the car. Amber, took the time to search for this earring and was successful in finding it. She promptly notified my wife and informed her that it would be in an envelope and available when we picked up our car. She was absolutely right, envelope was presented at check-out, and all is well. Thank you Amber for your time, consideration and courteous nature in making my wife smile again!! Once more, an excellent addition to the Chapman Mazda team....greatly appreciated! This was our first experience using the "shotgun" (Autotropolis) internet approach and it yielded mixed results. Our email instructions to all of the dealers were very specific;"Please send your best out the door price for an automatic 2010 Mazda3/4-Door iTouring; Crystal White Pearl Mica with Black Cloth interior. No options or dealer add-ons unless they are included at no additional charge. The price should include the $500 Customer Cash Back in addition to the $500 Owner loyalty discount.In your quote please itemize all prices including: Invoice, Sales Tax, Title and Doc. FeesFinancing will be at 0% for 60 months with $0.00 down. We will take delivery of the car on Friday or Saturday.Please contact us by email only".Unfortunately, only two dealers followed our instructions. Chapman MazdaCardinaleWay Mazda Other dealers never responded, or were so late we already had a tentative deal in place. We received many phone calls, messages, almost daily in fact. One dealer tried to sell us a totally different "used" Mazda 3. Another tried to lure us with a "free tank of gas" to come down with the deal we had and they would beat it. Several dealers left messages or sent email asking us to call them and tell them what color and features we wanted? Obviously, they failed to read our email. Before we chose the internet approach, we visited a nearby dealer "NOT Chapman" to test drive a Mazda 3. When we asked sales manager for a credit application to take with us, we were handed a barely ledgible, poorly aligned copy. We were not impressed. We chose CHAPMAN MAZDA. Tim Murphy followed all the instructions, didnt pressure or pester us, was great to work with, had the best price, included free tint, and delivered our new car on the date he promised. He even took the time to show our daughter the features of her new car and help with some initial stereo, bluetooth set-up. Great job end-to-end!

Oil Change, Mazda Zoom Checkup and Wash; All done well and donuts to boot. A nice explanition of what other needs I should expect in the near future and recommendations on when/how I should handle each over subsequent service visit(s). Did not feel pressured into "doing it now"; it was just explained on how the different fluids showed age and why each would need to be replaced.A good service experince; I will be returning.

I didn't have to worry that my car keys were going to get lost, or that I was going to pay them to do something to find out that they didn't and my recent favorite grrrr, to have some service tech claim they were taking my car for a "test drive" and to have a witness find them burning my tires in the neighborhood. I attempted to start my Tribute to go to work the other morning only to find that the battery was dead. I called Chapman Mazda to inquiry about any roadside service (I wasn't sure if I had any). It turns out I didn't have roadside service, but the serviceman offered sending their courtesy van to come and jump my vehicle. About 15 minutes later the courtesy van was at my door. He jumped my Tribute, which then allowed me to drive to the dealership to get the battery replaced. I was only about one hour late to work. This is why I buy vehicles from this dealership. They are extremely helpful and always go the extra mile for me. I will continue to service my vehicle at Chapman, but also will buy my next car from them. I feel like I have a partnership with them in regards to my Tribute. Also, love my Tribute. I hope I don't have to buy a new car any time soon, but when I do, it will be from Chapman.

After searching a few other car dealers, and getting a cold shoulder, I am glad I took the long drive to Chapman Mazda. Every part of my experience was pleasant even though my credit was less then stellar. My emails back and forth with Jim were honest and straight forward. He was very pleasant when I arrived at the dealership. Roxann was great, and showed us the car and took us for a test drive. Barbara worked a miracle with my financing. We were all over the place for two days looking for the perfect vehicle within our price range. Chapman Mazda was the first dealership that we felt really wanted our business and was willing to work on our challange. When we first got there every sales associate was busy but Dan who works in Auto Direct put his work on hold and went with us on a test drive. Completely above and beyond his duty's! When we found the vehicle we wanted Patrick did everything he could and got us into the vehicle that I was looking for. I love my car and I loved the experience we had with everyone at Chapman Mazda. I have been recommending them to everyone I know that if they are looking for a great buying experience start with Chapman. They probably won't have to look any farther!

I looked far and wide for a great deal on a Mazda. I started my search on the internet and had online conversations with many local dalers. I went to Berge and Cardinaleway Mazda as they were the closest to my home just to find that the online price I was quoted increased by almost $1200 once they started adding stuff to the price. I got disgusted so I decided to make the drive and visit Chapman Mazda. I MA SO GLAD I DID! Although they also added some items to the price, they were items that were visible on the car and actually have value. My salesman Jake Faigle was honest, fair and really took the time to understand my needs. They gave me options I hadn't even considered. I ended up getting a better deal than I expected and wasn't pushed at all. Kudos to the Chapman staff..................Keep doing what your doing! WE LOVED IT!
