I drove over 60 miles to this dealership because they said they would beat another dealer's price. The rep who made this promise wasn't available when I got there, even though I had an appointment. They didn't even come close to matching the price of another almost identical car. It seems like they will just say anything to get you to come, but won't back it up. A manager sent a follow up letter to pretend like he cared, but he wouldn't respond to my e-mails or call when he said he would. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the guy who took me on a test drive was very friendly and knowledgeable about the car.

My usual procedure: Notice of time for service, called and made an appointment, arrived at Service bay, was immediately helped, talked with Chris Toronto and went across the street to the Diner and had lunch. When I got back the car wasn't quite ready so I had a seat in the waiting room and read my newspaper until Chris came and got me. He explained what was done while they were bringing the car around (after being washed). I gave him my credit card and drove away very happy. Every time I take it there, that is the way it happens!

I took my 2016 RLX on its first extended road trip of approximately 300 miles including some very large mountains in the Appalachian chain. Some of the mountains I navigated exceeded 3600 feet in elevation and the car had more than enough power to tame each one without "breaking a sweat". Plus, the car even performed at 28 MPG through those mountains. I am very pleased with my investment in this new vehicle. I have been a very satisfied customer of Chevy Chase Acura for over 11 years, buying three Acura models and servicing them there. No one can beat the elite service a customer gets from both their sales and service departments.

The sales people I worked with were great and very patient as I made my decision about which car i was going to purchase (between Acura and another make). They never rushed me and were always very helpful. When I finally made my decision to purchase a 2016 Acura MDX - advanced package, it was a Friday and the process was just bad. First, we waited about 20 minutes for the finance person, which wasn't that big of a deal but i was surprised they only had 1 person working. When we finally got done with the finance person, the salesperson took me out to take a look at the car i had just purchased. Well, there were very noticeable scratches on the rear driver side of the car. The manager came out to look and said they could buff it out for me. Considering I just wrote a check for half the value of this car, i wanted them to find me a new one. I did not want one with a "defect" that they would just buff out. They didn't have another one in the dealership and had to bring one in. I could definitely tell that the manager was trying to dissuade me from bringing a car in from another dealership but i didn't care. In the end, they sent me home with a different MDX that had all these stickers and other advertisements for their dealership. The next day, they called me in to notify me that they had found me a new car. I went to the dealership to inspect it and everything looked good but it was quite dirty is some spots. They took the new car back to have it cleaned but also to put on some protective coating that i had got. When the car came back (maybe 1.5-2 hours later), it was still dirty and i again pointed out the dirty areas. The sales person took it back to be cleaned again and when they brought it out, IT WAS STILL DIRTY. At this point, i am super angry and annoyed. The parts that were dirty were not obscure parts of the car. I mean, the people cleaning the cars must be working in the dark. Maybe Chevy Chase Acura needs to invest in better lighting. They cleaned one side of the dirty part but not the other. At this point I was quite vocal (to my husband) in my displeasure and regret in not tearing up the check the night before and going with the other car. The manager never came over to explain anything to me about why it was taking so long and why his staff were completely inept. The salesperson mentioned that some manager was going down to the service area to see what was going on. When the manager (maybe GM) walked by during one of my rants to my husband, he gave us two Acura water bottles. Which, i guess was a nice gesture but didn't make up for the very long and unnecessary process. When the car was eventually done and inspected, i just wanted to get the xxxx out of Chevy Chase Acura. The salesperson explained the features of the car to me and we were off. Well, after driving a few miles down the road on Wisconsin Avenue, my husband turns to me and says "make a u-turn and go back to Acura". He wouldn't tell me why but just told me to turn around. It turns out that the piece of plastic above my rear-view mirror WAS MISSING. We went back to the dealership and the manager took a piece from another car and put it into mine. No real explanation or apologies were given. Again, the sales people were very nice, professional and patient with me as I made a decision on which car to purchase which is why i gave this review 1 star. Honestly, the car itself is fine. It drives well and is nice but I can honestly say that I would never purchase another car from Chevy Chase Acura. I've purchased/assisted in the purchase of cars from Herson's Honda, BMW of Rockville and Euromotors in Bethesda and this was by far, the worst experience ever. I would definitely NOT recommend this dealership and I haven't.

I bought a new Nissan Versa Note in March 2015. I confirmed several times that Nissan Chevy Chase would be filing my DC taxes and DC license plates. A month later, I checked in - the salesperson I worked with (Roderick Erwin) had absolutely no idea what was going on. I followed up a week later and was told that he was no longer with the company, and that the finance manager who filed my paperwork messed up, so it looked like I had to pay the taxes - which I already paid to Nissan Chevy Chase! Fast forward to June 1 and several employees later, I finally spoke to Robert Cumberland, who recognized that the paperwork was filed incorrectly. I was told my tags would be in by June 24 (deadline #1). On June 24, Robert told me that they were missing paperwork. Why they didn't figure this out soon, I don't know. I dropped off the required paperwork that evening, and was told that my DC tags would be "in-hand" the next day, June 25 (deadline #2). June 30, I asked Robert for an update. He said he's been busy with month-end closing, so he would find out tomorrow. July 2, I called again - he still did not know. July 5, I called again - at this point 10 days after I was promised to have them - and he still did not know. July 9, I emailed, and never received a response. July 19, I called again, said that I was frustrated with the lack of communication, and it had been three weeks since the second deadline had passed. July 22, I emailed - no response. July 26, I physically went to Chevy Chase Nissan. Robert had 'just gotten back from vacation' and hadn't checked any voicemails or messages yet. (Note: I never received an out of office). He was surprised that I hadn't gotten my tags yet. He said he would check first thing tomorrow (Monday). July 27, he called and said he did not know yet. July 29, he called and told me that the 'only hold up' was a copy of my driver's license, which I had provided upon purchasing the car. He told me that once they had this, he would have my plates in three or four days (August 1-2, deadline #3). I sent him my driver's license, and asked him to confirm the receipt of the email. July 31, I emailed to ask if he had received my email with my driver's license because he never responded confirming he did. August 1, he said he would have the plates "100%" by August 4. August 5, Robert calls to tell me that there is a 'hang up' because there are two outstanding tickets to my name. However, the tickets were issued in 1996 (I was six years old) to someone with a different middle name who lived in a city in Maryland that I've never lived in. The saga continues... Chevy Chase Nissan reeks of incompetency and ineptitude.

Got a written offer from one of their Internet sales guys. It specifically said that the Chevy Chase would sell the vehicle at $XXXXX price. Liked the number quoted. So I followed it up with an e-mail asking them to confirm. Then a new internet sales guy jumped in and said they cannot sell at the price that was quoted... This new Internet sales guy said something about "miscommunication, etc..." What a croc! Avoid this dealership at all cost...

This is my third lease with Chevy Chase Acura. Their fairness and professionalism make it hard to take my business anywhere else. Mike Jones gave me very good advice to help me decide on a car. I couldn't decide between the MDX and RDX and ended up with the MDX. Mike was very patient with all of my questions and never pushed me. This dealership has a loyalty program that lets me roll over unused miles and provides free oil changes and car washes. They even agreed to let me out of my current lease 3 months early! From the pleasant receptionist, to the clean and stylish restrooms to the very effecient business manager to the helpful sales staff, my experience was great!

I did my research on the acura website and found a few cars at different dealers for about the same price and mileage prior to going to Chevy chase Acura. The manager just didn't budge low enough from the higher internet price for me to go ahead with purchase. I am glad I did my research got my 2015 ILX from criswell in annapolis for 1k less than the actual internet price I had gotten in my initial search. My sales person literally lowered 1K without me even asking. No money down. My loan covered everything.

This dealer provided an excellent price in response to my Internet inquiry. In discussions, we determined that the dealer did not have the exact model in stock. That model was due in one week from the time of our discussions. The dealer later offered to find the model for more immediate delivery or to allow me use of a dealer vehicle until the model arrived. While I appreciate their efforts to accommodate me, I had committed to take delivery on a car from another dealer by that time. Given their interest in finding a workable solution and excellent price, I will start my next search with this dealer.

I loved buying my 2015 Nissan Versa here because everyone was friendly and helpful. I paid cash and was happy with my purchase. The problem was afterward when I received my title a month later and it said my car was a 2014 Versa. The sales manager went to check to see if my plates were in and when he called me back I asked how this affected my registration. He yelled at me and said he could only check on one thing at a time. He did not apologize when I went by later to get my plates put on. He said they would get everything corrected, but a month later it still wasn't done. When I called about it he said he would check on it and get back to me which he never did. I had to go the DMV myself to correct the problem (it took 3 days only). So I wouldn't recommend this Nissan dealership. There sales are great, but the follow up customer service stinks!

I went to this dealership to buy Accura TLX, the dealer recommended I test drive the car before we start talking about price. I agreed & gave my driving license. After the dealer copied it, he came up with a price sheet & said he can't do a test drive. I asked to speak to the manager , & a guy by the name Azziz came & said his dealers are busy to do a test drive. I asked why , especially after offered to test drive by the dealer himself. He said they have other customers that are coming to the dealership. I was mesmerized, as there were no customers waiting & the dealership was empty & there were plenty of dealers walking around. It's like Sunday afternoon & they don't want to work. I have seen so many negative reviews about this dealership , but I didn't take them seriously before. I strongly suggest not going there .

Have been working with Chris Toronto since I bought my new MDX from Larry Seiler. Had issues in the beginning with another service rep, but after repeated lectures that I didn't want to work with that person any longer, they got the message. I have been very pleased with the service I have received. I will note, being nice to the people who service your car goes a long way in getting good service. Be polite, be courteous, be personable with them, I have witnessed customers treat the service people poorly in this place, I think its a two way street. They are not order takers, they are humans too. It goes a long way. Regardless, they have been very accommodating, providing loaner cars and fair with any work that needed to be done.

I purchased a new 2014 RDX from Chevy Chase Acura last August, after considering the MDX as well and briefly flirting with a Nissan Leaf from the Nissan side of the dealership. Chevy Chase Acura was more than accommodating with allowing me to test drive all vehicles as much as I wanted and keeping vehicles overnight to see how they fit in my garage and to get the best possible driving experience for me and my family. The service was impecible; they were patient, not pushy, and the dealership was willing to negotiate on some extras. When I finally decided what I wanted and went to pick it up, they had it wrapped up in a special place in the showroom with my name on it. The purchasing experience was a "big production" in a good way and very personalized. The RDX was absolutely spotless. The dealership offers car washes for life and free oil changes - - nice touch! Unfortunately, after having my car for only about 8 months, somebody side-swiped it while parked at the curb. As a result, I had the opportunity to have an experience the service/collision department. Again, top notch service all around - timely, good communication, help with insurance, etc. The car is literally good as new. I have not hesitation recommending Chevy Chase Acura Nissan to anyone looking for a new or used Acura or Nissan.

Chevy Chase is an established business that knows their clientele of the area. They don't waste your time and took care to present a Non Acura brand car in its best possible light. Example they replaced partially worn Summer tires with new All Season for the 20 inch rims just because the GM thought an A7 offered should be in a consistently new condition throughout the car. I think had I liked the color combination better ( Black on Black) that was not what my first choices were I would have bought the car from them as their price was to move the car at a fair value.

They had a car posted online, and I went to visit them about 5 days after the car was posted, after being contacted by their third-party 'E-leads' prospector. At the dealer, I was told that the car was "still in the shop, they haven't decided whether to retail it or send it out to auction". The sales guy said he'd call when it "came out." A week later, I have not heard from them and the car is still posted online with no updated info. Not sure what this game is.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Chevy Chase Acura. I was given some ball-park numbers for trading in my 2011 TL for a used 2013 TL with a tech package of a difference about $7-8000. I needed to talk with my wife, and do some on-line research, and indicated I could work with $4-5000 and e-mailed them. I explicitly asked them to let me know if they could not work with those numbers, and just to let me know. Instead, I was told they could, and to come in. When I got there, they tried to sell me a new car for much more money, then told me my e-mail communication did not matter, it was their "business practice" to have people come in. I was told I should speak with the General Sales Manager the next day. After a long discussion, he indicated he would speak with the owner about the case, and get back to me the next day. He called me today, and told me that he could do nothing with the promised 2013, and the best he could do with a 2012 is $6500. He never mentioned if he even spoke with the owner, so I believe that I am just being manipulated again. I am wondering if this occurred because I am a servicemember, and I told them I was leaving town soon. The sales manager mentioned to me that car sales has a bad reputation, and I certainly understand why. I wrote a letter to the owner, and asked him to contact me, but that did not happen either.I don't know about the other Acura dealers, but it is really sad that this one scores high with such incredibly deceptive practices as I was subjected to.

I came in with the intent of buying a specific vehicle that day! It may seem a little long winded, but please take the time to read the breakdown of how things went...you may be surprised how they treat their customers: vehicle was b/n $30-35kWhen I arrived at the dealership no one was on the floor besides the receptionist, who informed me that it was the internet mgr's day off. I said I would take any other sales rep.I waited for almost 45 min before Jamal came down to introduce himself. Let me say that again...45 minutes! Hey said there was a sales meeting going on, so I suggested he just get me the keys and I would look over the car until their meeting finished. 25 minutes later Jamal introduces me to Lee who eventually gets someone to bring the car down. (over an hr has now passed before I even see the car!) We spend a few minutes looking it over and I ask to take it for a test drive. A few minutes later Lee comes out with yet another salesman...Fred. He takes me on a 20 minute test drive. 98% of the test drive we sat in bumper to bumper traffic! -No exaggeration! I asked him if there was some place we could take the car where there wasn't all this traffic and he said no. I then asked if they would mind if I took the car home for a 24hr test drive and brought it back in the morning. He told me we would have to talk price first, so we sat down in the showroom.Fred said he would see what he could do with the price and come back with a strong offer to make a sale. 35 minutes later he came back with an excuse about a slow computer system today and then finally the great offer...$500 less than the posted price. oh yeah, plus another $1500 in taxes and fees added on. He said the internet price has zero margin in it. I asked Fred to sit-down so that I could be candid with him.I explained to him how long I had to wait along each step of the way, how far I drove to make a deal and how miserable the test drive was. I was very calm, but to the point. I said that this entire experience was starting to leave a really bad taste in my mouth. I explained that the dealer relationship was important in this process and that I wanted to feel like a customer, not a bother. I said that I do not want to go back and forth over price. Just give me your best price on the car and I will take it or leave it, but to please take my experience into account.He made me wait another 15 minutes before he finally came back and said the deal they offered was as good as they could do and they would not go a penny lower. I said that if this is all they were willing to do for the service I received I would walk. Fred said, "So then, walk." So I got up and left. I went to Pohanka Acura who treated me like a King and gave me a great deal on a newer one. I took it home that night.

Avoid. Worth the drive to Manassas, VA and working with Sheehy. Dealer refused to honor advertised list price on 2012 Murano LE new condition. Proposed price more than 1000 dollars above the price listed on the company's website and cars.com despite being presented with both advertisements. Stated that it was not their fault - the pricing was based on incentives that were for recent college grads and military both applying. This of course is no where disclaimed on any of the websites and sales manager pointed to language about options in cars possibly being incorrect on the internet. Sales person never asked if me and my wife were either a recent grad or military anyways. Wasted 2.5 hours at dealership where we were contemplating buying both the Murano and a new Nissan Leaf. Sales manager was totally unprofessional. Sales person was helpful and put in awkward spot of losing two sales because sales manager would not honor the company's advertised price. Complaint has been filed with better business bureau. Would leave the Nissan brand altogether because of the sales manager's unprofessional behavior, but recognize value of Nissan brand. Awful experience all around with sales manager. Rookie sales person was very helpful- hopefully he goes to Sheehy.

My earlier review which I have taken back was around the customer treatment, recurring issue, and lack of understanding of customer frustration. After I sent the letter all the way up the chain, I received a call from Mr. Jeff Lee, the service manager. He understood my concerns, was apologetic, and told me as a result he has changed aspect of a policy to avoid future issues similar to mine. I also received email from Mr. Sophal Try, who ensured that the car would be looked at immediately and they will ensure it gets the right treatment.In addition, when I went into the store, everyone including, Mr. Chris Toronto, Mr. John Cavanaugh, were great to deal with and made me feel as if they wanted to move on and help ensure a better customer experience starting from that point onwards.Perhaps it was a case of one off night or perhaps I had lost my patience and did not communicate my frustration correctly or a combination of both. I think people make mistakes but it is how they deal with them is how we should treat them. My earlier comments were harsh even though situation warranted. Nonetheless, I have updated my rating from bad to ok and feel that I need to give Chevy Chase Acura more time to further improve their rating.I have been going to Chevy Chase Acura first for my RL and now for the MDX. I will continue to take my car there for now.---->>>Older/first review with some edits and am taking out some harsher comments.I sent in a lengthy letter to all levels of management. Here is what you need to know:For a recurring problem, my wife and I have already gone in 4 times - a miniscule tire pressure issue. I felt being talked down at and with an attitude that could be a trademark of being dealt with in an unfriendly manner. I will update this if I receive a response back from the GM or his vice, otherwise this stands corrected.My issues that I stressed on at the end of my letter:1. When you are talking about a customer's problem, look at the customer, make an eye contact and talk to them! This is the basics of customer service.2. We all make exceptions at all times! When a customer walks in with a problem for the 4th time, you make exceptions and you do what you need to make the customer happy! I am not driving a Hyundai and I did not sign up for the type of attitude I was at the receiving end of tonight.3. Listen to the customer and ask questions before you think they are being unreasonable. Sure a loaner car for a small issue may be just plain irrational but think about the working parent with a 2 year old, who should not have to pull aside to waste further time pumping air. 4. When a customer asks that they need to escalate the issue to your manager, oblige with the correct contact information!!! Dont say, "you can pick up a card from a different desk." Trying to deflect or minimize the criticism shows you don't care about customer or you don't care about customer service at 6:30pm.

The Chevy Chase Auto salesmen are nothing but LIARS; this unscrupulous dealer is NOT TO BE TRUSTED! Was interested in a car online and asked about any previous damage or repairs and was assured nothing ever happened to the car. They also stressed that the car passed the very rigorous and thorough Maryland state inspection. When seeing the car in person, it was VERY obvious that the entire car had been repainted. When the manager was asked in person about any paint or body work, he played dumb and said he was unaware of any such repairs. Then 10 minutes later after turning down the sale, he told me that there was over $1000 worth of body work done to the car...AT THEIR DEALERSHIP!!! They prey on uniformed and unaware consumers. If considering a used car from this dealer, make sure to get a thorough inspection by a trusted independent mechanic if you aren't car savvy. Or better yet, just avoid this dealer all together!

Spot delivery (also called yo-yo financing) lets buyers drive away with a car before financing is nailed down, but they can sometimes be yanked back to pay higher interest rates and bigger down payments. Experienced with this dealer on New Year's Eve. I told them explicitly that if they couldn't beat my credit union's rate, it was fine. I would leave the MDX there and come back later to get it with my credit union paperwork. They told me they would try and after 3 hours, came back with a great reduced rate. I signed the contract and left with the truck under the impression I had a great used vehicle with a great dealer-financed rate. Two days later I was called by one of the finance managers and told my loan wasn't approved. I was then told that I should either go back to my credit union for a loan or they would double the original rate they previously quoted in order to get dealer financing. By this time, my rate at the credit union had expired. I should have asked to see a copy of the confirmation from the finance company. Because they had not dealt with me honestly, I returned the truck to them. Word to the wise...either get pre-approved financing or get a copy of the confirmation from the finance company for dealership financing before driving off in a vehicle you may have to return.

What a wonderful buying experience. I live in Texas and flew to Maryland to buy a car from Chevy Chase Acura. From the beginning, Peter was direct, clear and efficient with his communications. There was no beating around the bush, no pressure - just an honest quote. I agreed to do the deal and he took care of everything in the background to make my purchase as smooth as possible. Everything was set when I arrived so I could just drive the car, make sure it was good and the paperwork was done quickly. BTW - Peter came in on his day off to complete the sale, and after everything was over, he spent close to an hour with me in the car setting things up for me, explaining things and just making sure I was all set for my drive back to Texas (and again, this was on his day off). He clearly knew the car very well and that helped me get more comfortable with the car very quickly. The car was in the condition promised - and the price was great! The drive to Texas was long, but the purchase experience was good enough that I'll look for Peter next time I'm looking to buy an Acura (this is my 3rd one).

Not impressed however I must say the sales manager at Acura, Ralph...is awesome. Was very nice, patient and approachable. It was do to Ralph's kind manner and his accurate assessment of the situation that helped to convince me to close the deal. The car I was buying I really wanted, so there was no need to "sell" me on it. However, it was the sales consultant, Peter, that was lack-luster....not friendly at ALL! Very stoic and he acted as if we (myself, my husband and our child) were annoying him. He showed very little patience when working with us which I believe Ralph sensed...and he came right over and saved the day. I was totally prepared to walk out the door because Peter sounded/looked as if he was disinterested in whether I purchased the vehicle. Aside from working with Peter, I was very pleased with my car and the terms that were reached. Since Ralph came and rescued the deal I gave the dealership an "ok" rating. If everyone at the dealership had Ralph's demeanor I would absolutely recommend this place.

Their prices are higher than other dealerships around. They are making so much profit off of ripping people off. But since they are located in a rich area I guess they can still make business. They are really unorganized because I went their twice and both times the vehicle I went to see was sold. I had called before I went the first time I was told it was still there and after I went they said it was sold last night. Second time I went as soon as they opened and again the car I liked was sold but still listed on their website. Even after 3 days after being sold they keep the car on their website. I have noticed that other dealerships post a message that "vehicle has been sold and look for similar vehicles" as soon as they can but chevy chase website is very misleading. Also if you are willing to go to their dealership, look for the car you want on their website instead of acura certified website because their prices are different for the same vehicle. If you plan to go there....GOOD LUCK!

My husband and I came in to look for a new car because of our new baby. Tony Cox was extremely helpful and had so much passion for Acura's we fell in love. We knew nothing about the SUV's prior to coming in (admittedly, I just liked the way they looked on the street) and Tony gave us so much information. I can't imagine taking my little one in any other car. We felt no pressure, we even left and looked at other vehicles, he followed up (still no pressure) and just knew, this guy loves these cars genuinly. Anyone who actually cares this much about a product and is not "salesy" is the best sales person in my opinion. Tony and Chevy Chase Acura were amazing. They have fair pricing, knowledgable staff, and great products. When we are ready, my husband is going to trade is car in for an Acura, too!

I was interested in their 08 RL posted on cars.com. The car was not even close to the condition they descibed. There was scraches inside the car, and it had a STRONG cigarette smell with dog/cats hair all over. The cumstomer service was terrible, at least the sales rep I was dealing with, had a very bad attitude. He was asking me what is the big deal with the cigarette smell, if the previous owner smokes, of course you will get that smell in the car. It was then the 'take it or leave it, don't waste my time' type of attitude. Stay away from this dealer if you can, terrible experience.

We had some really bad experience with their customer service in sales. They did not even reply to my first email (not counting the automatic email sent out by cars.com) asking for some information on the cars we were interested in. And when we got there to take a look at the cars, we had the test drive but we definitely got this feeling that they were simply trying to rush us out of there as soon as they could. We went to Rosenthal afterwards and got the car we wanted. The level of customer service was night and day. I am actually very very surprised to see the rating of this dealership is this high. Just my personal feedback but i will NEVER deal with them again, no matter for what reasons.

Worked with Peter Larson to look for a hard-to-find pre-owned Acura TL in a very specific color combo vehicle. Peter was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were looking for and took the time to answer all of our detailed questions, both on the phone and in person (we live in NC but have family in the Bethesda area). We worked with several dealerships (~10+) along the east coast to find our needle-in-the-haystack vehicle and Peter was the most probably the most experienced and informed salesperson. While we ultimately didn't buy our pre-owned TL from Chevy Chase (as we found the vehicle at another dealership), I would highly recommend working with Peter if you're going to Chevy Chase Acura.

On a Tuesday night, I sent out quote requests from 3 local Acura dealers. Larry was the first to respond via email and phone the next morning. He emailed me a brochure with a great price. The other 2 dealers were slower to contact me and wanted a lot more for the same model. On Thursday I went in for a test drive (Acura TL SH-AWD w/ Tech package.) After showing me the vehicles that were available, I picked one to drive and Larry encouraged me to take it out on the highway. Before leaving for the test drive he showed me a few things on the car and how they worked. During the drive he answered any questions I had. Once we got back, doing the rest of the deal was the easiest deal I have ever done at a dealership in the 20 years I have been buying cars. They offered me close to what I wanted for the trade-in. I didn't have to go through any kind of marathon negotiation session like I have on past cars. None of the usual dealer stuff of hidden fees or added surprises when I got to the finance office either. Joe in finance got me taken care of in what has to be record time for any car I have financed. Once the deal was done, Larry got into the car with me and paired my cell phone with the car;s Bluetooth, imported the phone book, added my house to the navigation and went over how to use everything. Total time at the dealership was 3.5 hours and that was including them sending the car for a full detailing of the exterior and interior. I have negotiated alone for more than 3.5 hours in the past. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Larry and Chevy Chase Acura.

Chevy Chase Acura's response to my initial internet inquiry was lightning fast and followed up almost immediately with a phone call from Mr. Larson. I chose not to respond to the phone call, but rather by email, and liked very much that Mr. Larson was amenable to that rather than pressuring me to talk with him on the phone or come in. I also liked the fact that when we did eventually talk on the phone he was straight-forward and didn't try to waste my time. For example, although he initially indicated that he "might" be able to match the best price I had received from another dealer if I came in to talk, before that actually occurred he called back to say that he had already confirmed with his manager that he could. It was nice to know I wasn't going to make a wasted trip. Also, when after I arrived it turned out that the dealership did not have the exact car I wanted to buy, he did not put excessive pressure on me to take something else. Instead, he made the extra effort to work with the sales manager and find the car I wanted. I had to wait for its delivery, but it was totally worth it. He was also extremely thorough and helpful in going through all the details of the sale and the features of the car on delivery day. I also worked with a financing representative who was very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, I do not remember and cannot read her name on the loan papers, but I was also very satisfied with that experience.

Mr. Larson was very prompt in answering all of my questions either email, phone or in person. He devoted his attention to me and not others while assisting me. He was most thorough in processing the paper work and took much time to orient me to the cars features and provided performance tips. He had a friendly yet professional approach and was not pushy nor did he try to press me to make a decision before I was ready. The overall experience was very good in that the showroom was comfortable, clean and not noisy with employees talking loudly across the room. Financing aspect (paperwork) was accomplished quickly and efficiently. I was explained the various options (accessories, added warranty etc) but not pushed into taking.Only suggestion would be for dealership to computerize credit application, sales contract etc rather than having salesperson spend his time writing it all down. This could all then flow to financing so those forms (some already gathered customer data) would not have to be written down again then keyed to computer.Pricing was good; I would buy from dealership again.I would buy here again.

Very positive experience. I dealt with Chad Dorfman, first via email. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I then visited the store, where Chad spent lots of time with us, showing us a variety of different cars, colors, styles etc. We did not feel pressured or rushed at all, and Chad was very helpful and straightforward. There was very little "selling" going on. He was simply there to help and provide information. It was a quick, easy, and pleasant experience, and I have the sense that Chevy Chase Acura will do great work and provide great service on a going-forward basis. They seem eager -- in a low-key way -- to keep customers happy in order to get repeat business and referrals.

Chevy Chase Acura was the only DC-area Acura dealer to provide a price in the opening e-mail response to my internet request, which I appreciated; the dealer also provided substantial information about the car, the MDX, along with the opening e-quote. When it came time to negotiate, my initial sales, Peter, was busy but arranged for an easy transition to another sales person, Phil, so that I wouldn't have to wait. Negotiations were easy, the pricing was fair, and while I was offered the opportunity to purchase additional warranties, paint protectant, and similar items, very little time was spent discussing these once I said that I wasn't interested. When the time came to pick up the car, the sales person did a great job of introducing me to the various electronic features.I also appreciate the location in downtown Bethesda near Metro.

I had an excellent experience dealing with Chevy Chase Acura. I had some reservations buying a new car, as I've had poor experiences in the past, even when using car pricing services which fixed most of the associated costs of buying. I had driven the 2010 TL at another dealer, but then went to obtain internet quotes from other dealers in the DC metro area. Chevy Chase was the only dealer who actually gave me a quote, all the other dealers insisted that I come in, making the internet quote not a means of seeing what pricing was available, but instead a sales lead for these dealers. I met Jaymes Snyder at the dealership, he gave me a test drive of the car and demonstrated the different features. I told him that I would be buying a car soon, but would not be buying that day. He again went over the pricing which was exactly what was quoted to me. He also explained the different incentives built in, including a factory to dealer incentive which they were passing on to the buyer. There was no high pressure salesmanship in his approach. After visiting the previous dealer and getting the high pressure sales pitch, then the back and forth to the manager, I was struck by the contrast in sales styles. The pricing came out to be a thousand less at Chevy Chase than what the other dealer offered. I had asked for a slightly different color than what was on the lot, and Jaymes had his dealership try to locate the precise color I wanted, but when we discussed further, they gave a cash incentive to take the one on the lot and I did that. We kept them late at the dealership that night, as with all the Christmas shopping traffic around Tysons, it took us until 8:40 to get to Chevy Chase, but they got us the car, processed the paperwork, and got us out around 10 (they close at 9). This was the most stress free car buying experience I've had.

Began Looking for a preowned Acura MDX in Central NY. Very limited choices with high price tags. Decided to look at dealerships in larger cities. We have family in Washington DC so I started there. Chevy Chase Acura had it's inventory posted on line with a request for quote feature. Even though we were looking for a preowned, I decided to check out their "Internet Pricing" on new MDX's. WOW First thought was is this for real. Spoke directly with Stewart Schulze, who answered all of our questions and provided updated inventory information. Still wondering if this was too good to be true... we headed to DC for a family visit 2 weeks later. I love my new MDX!!!! We visited the dealership and Stewart on Saturday afternoon and picked up our new MDX on Sunday for the drive back home. All transactions went smoothly. Chevy Chase Acura provided us with a temperary MD registration, while they processed our NY State registration. We received our NY plates and paperwork directly from the dealership a few weeks later.

I had already selected the Acura model and options I desired when I approached this dealership. I eventually purchased from them based on attractive pricing, dealer location, and service freebies (free oil changes for life). Price negotiation largely was done via internet and low pressure. The specific car I purchased was not in stock at the time of purchase, but was delivered within a week. The salesman was quite professional and thorough in demonstrating the features of the car, particularly the car's sophisticated technology package. The finance manager did a great job getting us through the paperwork processing in a painless fashion. I would not hesitate to return to this dealership if making a future Acura purchase.

I just bought a TSX and not once did Jon ever push for the sale. Jon walked me through every car in the showroom, while patiently explaining the how to of every feature. I had a 2004 TSX which I purchased from a dealer in upstate New York. I had serviced my old Acura to Chevy Chase since moving to the DC area in 2005. I was always very impressed with the service department and my experience with Chevy Chase Acura in general. When it came time to replace my TSX I never thought to go anywhere else. I didn't even look at other brands because I wanted to continue to use Chevy Chase Acura. Jon Rosenthal was very helpful and I enjoyed working with him. I have been very happy with my 2010 TSX and have recommended the car, the dealership and the Jon to the many people who have asked if I am happy with my Acura. I really liked that he gave me his direct line and that I could contact him with questions even though his job was technically over. I will continue to use Chevy Chase Acura as long as I live in the area.

He was thorough, to the point, detailed with explanations of the car's offerings and good on the follow-up, making sure we understood how to operate everything. Mike Jones was the salesman who sold me my 2005 Acura RL in September, 2007. The interest he displayed and the helpfulness he offered was extraordinary for a dealership in such a vast population center. It was as though Chevy Chase Acura and Mike were located in a small, rural village rather than a a huge metropolitan area. Mike was specific and clear about all the terms of the sale, no hedging of information. Mike highlighted important charges, explained the coverage of my warranties and urged religious attention to the manufacturers maintenance schedule. In his own writing, he underlined and explained things in the owner's manual. More than that, he gave me his cell phone number, said call any time you need help. Indeed that is true service. It has been two years since my purchase and meeting Mike. He has gone beyond sales person responsibility. I have not mastered the Navi system entirely so I called Mike on several occasions to help me set up a program or get me out of a difficult spot. He's virtually always available and if not, he gets back to me. Only two days ago when my steering wheel locked in a parking lot at one minute to 9:00PM, I frantically called Chevy Chase Acura for help, just at closing. The receptionist put me on hold for a couple of minutes and transferred me to Mike. He straightened the situation out in an instant. I have just learned today that Mike was talking to me from a Metro car underground, Washington's subway! Had this have been a serious emergency, I'm confident Mike would hav been there. Because of Mike's sincerity and friendliness I stop into the Chevy Chase Acura show room to say hello to Mike whenever I'm in for service or nearby. I've owned about nine or ten new cars in my life but have rarely if ever stopped to visit my salesperson. Mike will always send greetings to my wife who was present for the purchase. That tells me Mike is different. Once he spotted a smudge on my car's leather upholstery. He went inside to his desk, got some cleaner and removed the smudges. I think Mike is a caring person who understands the real meaning of a what a good salesman ought to be: one who knows the customer should be treated kindly and fairly for the investment he has made, and for his trust. I believe Mike Jones is an exemplary representative for Chevy Chase Acura and for the Honda Motor Car Company. And I think Acura ought to be proud to have him represent the company.

My wife and I went to Chevy Chase Acura on the first day we planned to look for a new car. We were looking at the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, and the Acura TSX. We had just come from a Honda dealer where we wondered around for a bit without anyone offering any help. Once we got help, it was from a young kid who couldn't answer the simplest question about the Accord (Does it have front wheel drive?)!! Larry held the door open for us as we arrived and immediately asked us what we were looking for and if he could help. He did it in a very friendly manner -- we felt no pressure at all. When I said we were looking at a TSX or TL, he first went to the TSX to show us the car, without any effort to immediately upsell to the more expensive vehicle. He explained the configurations of the TSX from V-4 to V-6, with or without the Tech/Nav package, letting us settle on the TSX V-4 with Tech Package. He then tried to find us a vehicle that met our specs and color. He let us both take a test drive on local roads and the highway until we were convinced this was the car we wanted. While we were not planning to buy the car that day, he worked with us to give us a deal we could not refuse (when we made a counteroffer, I honestly thought there was no chance they would meet it). They even offered to pay for the last two months of my wife's lease on her Civic.When we stopped by the dealership the next day, Larry and the business manager were available to help answer our questions to our satisfaction. In addition, he followed up with a phone call to both my wife and I on Monday to see how we were enjoying the car.

He couldn't have been more informed about the ins and outs of Acura's line. He made it an easy decision to select the TL, by highlighting it's improvements in the audio, electronics and safety measures. I also appreciated the amount of time he was able to commit to helping me learn some of the more complex facets of the vehicle, such as the voice activated navigation or the new HDD, great addition to the new TL. I just moved to the Bethesda area from out of state and was not familiar with this dealership. I needed brakework. I had put it off for some time. Coming from a suburban area i was a bit taken aback by the service department as it is in the basement. I am not a city person. But I was greated immediately upon arrival, was told what they would do, what it should cost and they also explained why they had to do some of theings they had to do. I expected I would get a phone call telling me it would cost a lot more. I did not get that call. But I was called when my car was ready and it cost less then what they had estimated. The brakes work great and they washed my car before I picked it up. Very good experience.

We did not plan to shop at Chevy Chase as there are two dealers closer, but we stopped by because we were in the area anyway and it was worth the trip. The selection was excellent and we bought a car that day.Our sales rep Jon Rosenthal was very easy to work with. No high pressure tactics, very knowledgable about the product, and helpful in showing us how to use the features. Delivery of the car was near painless; the papers were all prepared for us in a timely manner and each one was explained before signing. Jon ensured everything was ready for us and spent considerable time setting up the personal adjustments on the car to our specs while showing us how the systems worked.We almost did not go back to Acura due to a poor experience at another dealer in Gaithersburg, MD, but no regrets and we are happy to have found Jon. We will recommend both Jon and Chevy Chase to others.

When in for regular service, Chevy Chase Acura told me that I had a "broken" enging mount and tried to charge me $400 to replace it. Suspicious, since I had not hard any noises or felt any movement, I declined the service and proceeded to get a second opinion. Sure enough, all four of my engine mounts are fine. I will never return to Chevy Chase Acura.

We bought our TL at Chevy Chase because it's closer to our home, even though another dealer impressed us much more. It turns out that this was a real mistake! While the sales person was great, the management at Chevy Chase doesn't care about customers at all.We have taken the car for warranty service, and the service reps are very nice and knowledgeable. They usually provide a loaner if the service will take much time, and they usually wash the car before giving it back to us.But we have had several service problems -- NONE caused by service techs or service reps. These problems have all been caused by Chevy Chase management. When we have had problems and tried to access management, we were completely ignored. I called multiple times -- with each bad experience -- and NO ONE ever returned my calls. Then I e-mailed the Service Manager and then the General Manager. The e-mails were never answered. I finally wrote a letter to the General Manager and apparently he responded by disciplining our service rep -- who did a GREAT job and had done nothing wrong!Of course the price for service is horrible. They're a dealer, what could we expect. But for the price we paid for service, we were entitled to great service, and we got poked in the eye.I would never buy another car from them -- even if the price was better. They do not deserve to be rewarded for doing such a bad job of customer service.

I would never recommend anyone to this dealership. They had a customer appreciation week where you take in your car to have it inspected free of cost.This was a big mistake on my part as I found this service department is racist as I am a black person and if I was white I would be treated differently.They broke off my car antenna and told me a flat lie that it broke off while going over two speed bumps. However when I took in my car the metal covering the inner part of the antenna was already broken, we agreed not to wash the car as this would break the antenna off completely.Their explanation as to how the antenna was broken off completely was a flat face lie andwhen i pointed this out to jeff the service technician he laughed in my face and said there is nothing he could do and he had other customers to deal with ,so I ask for the manager who agreed that since the metal outside was broken then it was a matter of time before the innner part break.When I tried to show him that the inner part took alot of force to break and that the technician may have tried washing the car causing the breakage he disagreed and told me there is nothing he can do. If this is how chevy chase shows customer their appreciation then I think they should not be in business. Because I was so irate they claim I was shouting and I should go outside in the cold. If you want good customer service this is not the place to go.

My initial contact in this dealership was Bobby Keller. I called because they had a great deal on the car I wanted but there was another dealership further from my home with the exact same model, only it had less miles and it was about $2,000 cheaper. I contacted Bobby and asked him if they thought they could match this price. He couldn't give me a direct answer over the phone so I drove an hour to the showroom. I negotiated the price I wanted and then I was approached by Jeff Solomon, the Finance Director. He "pre-approved" me for the car and told me that because I had good credit, my interest rate would be 4.9% since that's the promotional Acura rate across the country. I left a down payment to hold the car and drove my hour home.I returned the next day with the rest of my cash down payment expecting to sign my paperwork and leave, when I was informed the rate of 4.9% wasn't even available from Acura on that model. The sales manager of the dealership, Brian, backed up the fact that I was misinformed about the interest rate. In my opinion, the Finance Director who has supposedly been in this business for "over thirty years" should know damn well which models support the incentive interest rates.At this time, Jeff was not working and I was working with Jamey Saturn, who was wonderful!!! I was furious due to the fact that I was lied to and Jamey was nothing but understanding. I explained that I had been up front and honest the whole time about what I was expecting and I didn't get the same in return. No one will convince me that this was not done intentionally. I believe Jeff knew if he told me my real rate that was available to me for that vehicle, I would have never have driven another 175 miles to come buy the car. I also believe he thought I would just take the higher rate after being misled and buy the car anyway. HE WAS WRONG. For the next hour, I will admit, I lost my cool and became very apalled at the situation. I was infuriated that a business would back this degree of misinformation and make such a feeble attempt at salavaging the customer service I was owed. The sales manager never once returned during the whole hour and a half that I was working on my financing. He knew I was severely disappointed in the company and he mde absolutely no attempt to make the situation any better for me, the customer.Luckily, this dealership employs people like Bobby and Jamey. Jamey bent over backwards to make sure I was given what I was promised. Finally, after about 2 hours and four people involved, I was assured the rate I was initally promised. In the end, I purchased my car.... but look what it cost me, emotionally.I will NEVER purchase, nor recommend anyone to frequent this establishment. If it were not for Bobby Keller and Jamey Saturn, this car would still be sitting on their lot. I cannot believe the degree two employees had to go to just to have a Sales Manager back misinformation his Finance Director provided. I am an Account Executive for a Fortune 100 company and I wouldn't even dream of treating one of my clients the way I was treated. I cannot believe a business that brands the worldwide name, Acura, is allowed to be run this way. I'd like to thank Bobby and Jamey for making an awful situation a little easier on me.

I purchased my TL from Chevy Chase Acura in July 05. I'm very happy w/ the car minus a few things that needed to be corrected post taking delivery. However, Chevy Chase Acura has been nothing but positive and responsive in correcting the issues.Julie Holober is the sales person I dealt with through the purchasing process. She is indeed the nice car sale person I've ever met! She made the process pain-free and pleasant even through my complete wishy-washiness of trying to figure out exactly what it was I wanted. If you go to this dealership, ask for Julie!Granted having a service department that isn't open on Saturday is a bit of an inconvenience. I haven't had to have any major service done thus far... I'll post another review when that time comes. So far, so good! :)Thanks Chevy Chase Acura!

The buying experience (2004) was fine--no complaints--and the price was good.<br><br>But I've now made a total of six phone calls and two Internet visits (charming blank black screen!) trying to arrange for a regularly scheduled maintenance for my Acura. I left a message and got no return call after a week; called during business hours several times and got no answer at all; finally got an operator (for Chevy Chase Chevrolet, at the service number listed on the reminder postcard I got from Chevy Chase Acura), who tried three different extensions to no avail; and ultimately wound up with a voice mail system that required me to input the letters of the name of "the person I wanted to speak with." And, no, I did not input "F-U".<br><br>I'm not looking for the dealer to act like I'm their long-lost rich uncle or the King of Hotzeplotz. I'm just hoping for a little efficiency, and I'm getting the impression that this dealer might not be very serious about its service customers.

The deal that Chevy Chase Acura offered me was great, but I did not enjoy my experience with Steve. He had an attitude in our interaction, raised his voice at me in front of others, and was very disgruntled when I finally went with another dealer. My recommendation: stay away from Chevy Chase!!!

I sent emails to dealerships within a 200 mile radius asking for their best price on a TL. Several would only speak with me on the phone, while others gave me a price via email. The best one came from Chevy Chase and included the dealer destination charge. The only additional fees were taxes & tags plus a $100 'processing' fee, which beat the $400 fee charged by my local dealer. When asked about additional accessories, I was given a great price on those too. We were prepared to walk it if once we got to the dealer they tried to to up the price, but the only thing extra they tried to sell was the obligatory extended warranty, which we turned down. <br><br>I recommend using the internet to find a car if you are willing to travel some distance. You get a feel for the dealership and you can hopefully avoid a lot of the game playing.
