I called in to the dealership looking for a reasonablly priced vehicle due to the holidays coming up and having children to think about. When I arrived Moe walked up and greeted me and turned out to be my sales professional working with me. After test driving a couple of cars he proceeded to ask me questions to make sure I was making the right purchase for my needs. After settling on one of my options the rest of the process was quick and easy and I was out of there in no time. Thank you again Moe and the rest of your team for making this the best sales experience I have encountered yet with a dealership.

I had an excellent experience at Colonial Hyundai. My salesperson Mohammed was professional, helpful and went out of his way to find the exact vehicle I wanted. They gave me a great deal. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and will return there for my next vehicle purchase. Unfortunately they are located too far from my home for me to be able to have my routine maintenance. I went there after a terrible experience at Seidel Hyundai and also because of their generous trade- in offer

My experience at Colonial Hyundai was one I will never forget. Being a 21-year-old college student I was very sceptical about making this huge commitment to lease a car on my own but, Katie took great care of me. She is one of the nicest, friendliest, and comforting individuals I have ever met at a dealership. There was NOT one minute that I felt taken advantage of or forced into anything I did not want. Everyone at Colonial did a wonderful job, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by. They will beat any other dealers price!!!

I first purchased a Tucson in April of this year and my wife and I worked with Dan. We both found Dan to be straightforward in his sales approach, and there were no surprises during the transaction. If he didn't know the answer to our questions, he admitted it and found the answer instead of talking is way around the question. Most importantly, the numbers were what he said they'd be. I went back this weekend to trade-in my vehicle and purchase a 2017 Santa Fe. I had the same experience, and I would definitely recommend working with Dan and plan to refer him to my friends and family looking to purchase a vehicle. I also briefly worked with Heather who is new to the business. Heather was professional and courteous, and she's clearly going about her new career the right way.

Very pleased with Bill my sales rep. He called me about my sonata, told him I didn't like it and didn't want to buy another hyundai. He was able to convince me to give him a chance (he didn't sell me my last car) & made an appt with me. He called to confirm our appt. he had the car I wanted waiting for me and the rest is history. Bill is a decent, hard working, honest patient and caring sales rep. No bull crap and was very knowleadgable of the inventory and product. I will definitely buy a vehicle from him in the future. As a person who was in sales I was impressed with his skills and ability to change my mind. He listened and convinced me he can provide me with what I wanted!

I found an 02 Acura that was had a price that I thought was a little high with the mileage on this vehicle. I an offer on three different occasions and requested a trade in value on my Daughters 06 Jetta. they never returned an email or call until weeks later when the vehicle was sold. if a dealer is not happy with an offer, then say it. don't ignore a potential customer.

My experience at Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown was pleasantly surprised. I was dreadful at the thought of purchasing a car and the "inevitable" hassles associated with the process. Joe and Ted were extremely helpful, courteous and professional in assisting me buying a car that met my needs within my budget. I am more than happy to tell others about my wonderful experience at Colonial Hyundai Dealer.

I have had my new Elantra GT for 3 weeks now. I'm still trying to get used to not using a key, but I don't miss looking for it when I'm in a hurry. This is the peppiest car I've had in a long time. Only problem is that it doesn't like to go slow in the 25 mph zones through my town. On the highway, I looked down and noticed that I was well over the speed limit, and I wasn't even trying to go that fast. Oops. The gas mileage is much better than the last car I had. No complaints there. It's a fun car to drive, it handles well. Haven't done winter driving yet to see how it handles the snow and ice.

Best car buying experience ever. I got a better model car at a price better than what other places were selling the base-models for. Zero pressure while I was there, and probably spent about 3 hours looking at a ton of cars. The GM Steve Tucci made it like a personal mission to find me the absolute best deal, looking at dozens of vehicles and seeing what incentives would best suit.Salesman Mo has a level of car knowledge far beyond his years, and again, a very laid back individual not pressuring me to make a move. I never heard any of the typical "closer" lines from anyone. I even got more than I expected for my trade-in, and I had looked up the value on a couple of sites prior to going in.Colonial Hyundai will be my first stop next time I need a car - strongly recommended.

Katie Schaffer was an awesome saleswoman. She worked hard to help us get the right car and a very fair price. We got a 2 yr. old Tucson for our 16 yr. old so she can learn to drive before going off to college in 2 yrs.. Katie decorated the car with balloons when we picked it up on the 4th of July! This really made our very hard working student so happy! Manager Steve was a good guy and sealed the deal on the price. Thank you. Great experience with the dealership.

This was my first time buying a new car, I just graduated college about a year ago, so this was a big purchase for me. I felt that the staff at Colonial Hyundai was very friendly. I purchased a pre-loved 2009 Acura TSX, the whole experience from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. Even though it wasn't a Hyundai my sales person Katie Schaffer still took the time to go over the Acura Owners manual just so she could show me all of the features the vehicle had to offer. Katie Schaffer and Steve Tucci really went above and beyond throughout the whole sales process. I will definitely be purchasing and recommending others purchase from this dealership in the future. He originally told me he couldn't give me 6000 for my trade in until he spoke to his manager, when it says on their website that they give 6000 for all trade ins. I filled out an online application to see if I could finance a vehicle. I then received an email stating that they could "arrange an attractive finance package for me," He ran my credit three separate times just to tell me that I couldn't be approved but my co signer was. So now I'm stuck in a position when I cant even go to a separate dealer to obtain a new vehicle for my family.

I took my daughter with me on July 4, 2016 as I was car shopping. I was so impressed with the way that Joe handled my sale from start to finish. Because of him, we also got another car for my daughter, Caroline Barry, on the 4th. Joe knew the cars and explained the features of each car in detail. He also took the time to explain the perks that your dealership offered: an example is PA state inspection, etc. It was a pleasure to deal with a salesman who exhibited knowledge of the product, friendliness, personality, and professionalism. This salesman is an asset to your organization. It was a pleasure to buy two cars from you. Joe Bradley 47 Ashton Way West Chester, PA 19380

From the moment I arrived I was greeted professionally and every question was answered to my complete satisfaction. Mike sales representative listen carefully to my needs and requirements. There was never a moment when I did not feel comfortable in discussing the pending transaction. I do not see my salesperson's name listed below. He told me he was a new employee and I recall his first name is Ted. In subsequent visits to the dealership I found many of the sales people helpful and friendly in directing me and answering questions. Over the years I have had such a good experience with Hyundai that it would be difficult for me 2 consider any other vehicle brand. Thank you for your efforts keep up the good work you're doing a terrific job

The newspaper add was misleading. I did not receive the colonial discount offered in the add. The add was for a 2016 model, they gave me a 2015. They hiked up the price considerably from the MSRP so when I did the Math after my purchase, although they supposedly gave me $6000 for my trade in, in reality they just stole my car. This was my first new car purchase and was naive because i thought only Used car dealerships were untrustworthy. I did not figure it all out until a few days after my purchase and it was too late to do anything about it. In the end, I am happy with the vehicle, but feel like i was ripped off in the process. I will not recommend Colonial Hyundai to anyone, and it may be the last Hyundai I ever purchase.

I am a repeat customer. Colonial Hyundai is amazing. I had an excellent experience with them when I bought my first Hyundai and an excellent experience this time around too. I haven't had my new Hyundai serviced yet, but I had my old Hyundai serviced at Colonial several times, always with good results. When I purchased my first Hyundai, I wasn't planning to go to Colonial for service, it was 15 minutes out of my way and there was another Hyundai dealership on my way to work. It was a disaster. After the second time at the other service center, I went back to Colonial. Everyone there is nice, professional, and communicate about the repairs and cost! I recommend Colonial Hyundai to all of my friends and family.

Dan, did a fantastic job in finding me the right car I wanted during my walk-in visit. We took two cars on a test drive and he was very knowledgeable about each one. The transaction went very smoothly and I promised to be back for my next purchase. Keep up the good work, Dan. Thanks Again.

We were very satisfied with our service from Colonial. The salesman, Lou Ziegler, was thorough, patient, and informative. He worked with us through several vehicles and pricing/financing scenarios to ensure that we would be comfortable with the vehicle and the financing that we chose. We appreciated the straightforward and professional manner in which we were treated and will recommend our sales associate as well as Colonial Hyundai to our family and friends.

I would recommend Colonial Hyundai because of the great customer service I experienced with Lou Ziegler. He took the time to explain all the options in the vehicle and difference with other models. He was attentive to my needs and was a professional. I would return for my next purchase.

Was at Colonial on Memorial Day and it was extremely busy and crazy. Everyone was running around and it was crowded but in the midst of running back and forth Sam Srisook stopped to help us. He was great. Very nice and made the experience pleasant. He took the time to find something that I liked since I wasn't 100% on the first car. Took a long time to sign all the paperwork but it was an extremely busy day for everyone at Colonial and they were all pleasant.

My husband I arrived on a Saturday afternoon about an hour before closing. John, Ted and the finance officer stayed at least 2 hours past the schedule closing of the dealership to ensure that my husband and me received the car, price and financing options that best suited us. We were treated with professionalism and courtesy throughout the purchase.

I did not feel pressured and I bought the car by myself without my husband! I love it! I have already gone back to get a few more things explained again to me because I am a slow learner. And they washed it for free when I went back.

This was my first experience buying a car, and was completely unsure of what I wanted. Sam was patient with me and able to help me to find a car that felt "just right." Sam is a very honest car salesmen, and wants to see you leave in the car that will make you happy. Even after I bought my car and noticed a crack in the windshield, Sam, along with the General Manager, Steve, took the time to schedule someone to replace the entire windshield free of charge. Cannot express my appreciation for this; such great customer service! I would recommend Sam and Colonial Hyundai to everyone! A truly great experience.

As soon as I arrived to the dealership I was greeted by Brian Shattuck. He listened to what I was looking for in a car and narrowed down my search to the exact model. We did not find the exact car on the lot, so he kindly offered to show me the overflow cars on another lot. I could not make my selection right away. Brian along with other staff members sat me down in the office and very patiently worked with me to get me into the right car. After a test drive I was signing for my new car. Brian was very knowledgeable about all the features of the 2016 Sonata and helped me customize all of the settings. He was very professional and able to answer all of my questions. Overall excellent experience working with Brian and all the staff who helped me get into my Sonata. I would definitely recommend this dealership and Brian to anyone looking for a car.

When my husband and I landed at Colonial Hyundai, we were looking for a specific model - Santa Fe used car, third row seating, which we had seen online. One of the agent tried to locate that model for us and couldn't find it. That was fine, BUT, the thing that was odd, for me, about that agent interaction was that he did not even offer to look around or asked us any questions regading our specific requirement/need from a car. It seemed more like a retail experience, where we asked "do you have this"; he looked around and unable to find it sais "no, we don't". Now to think of it, I don't even remember his name!!! BUT then as we were walking back to our car, this new agent came up to us and asked what we were looking for and gave us options that would fit our criteria and budget needs. We ended up returning again to the same location, to the same agent, looking for a hybrid model and he helped us make an informed decision. The agent that we worked with was very patient (as we took numerous test drives), professional, helpful and insightful.

Can't say enough positive things about this dealership from our 11 purchases over the years. Every salesperson (and management) has been fantastic! John, Sam, and Ted took great care of us this past weekend! We wouldn't buy elsewhere and and can't say enough great things about Colonial! Just had to add that our most recent experience was so great.... We went back 3 days later to see Sam for a used car (a Hyundai of course!) for my son. Of course we left with that car too!

I am writing this review based on sales and service. We purchased a used car a year ago that had problems from the time we got home, it would not start. They had started it in the parking lot every time we test drove it. They did not honor warranty and said nothing was wrong (the most poor, rude and inadequate serviceI have seen in 35 years). Car continued to have problems and we could not trust them to fix it, stalled on I95 last week. Had it fixed at another dealer. I just have to warn people because they do not care.

Had a more than satisfying experiencing looking at cars and then leasing a Galant. I had been to several other dealerships and felt comfortable with the selection of cars and the courteous service available here. All the sales people were not the typical pushy sales people and were very friendly as well as knowledgeable regarding the cars on their main lot and cars they had available on others. They gave me a more than fair trade value on my used car I almost had to drag in and walked out with a vehicle I love and a payment which is more than affordable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new car.

We are extremely pleased with our purchase and our buying experience. We purchased a 2008 Hyundai SantaFe . The vehicle was show to us by a nice gentleman named Robert close to closing time on a Saturday. We returned the following Monday morning with some questions. Robert was not in. Bill Gallagher took very good care of us as did sales and business managers. We are very happy with the appearance and performance of the vehicle as well as the price and terms. I have since returned for service and (again) had exceptional service. I certainly recommend this dealership.

The experience I had when buying the car was good, as soon as I need service it was bad. At time of purchase, I paid for a lifetime state inspection and free oil changes / tire rotations. For the oil changes I can't remember if this was for a few years or lifetime. When I brought it in for the 3500 mile maintenance. They told me over the phone the the fuel additive is not free, that was $60. At this point I feel like they are over charging on the additive to cover the "free" oil change / tire rotation. So I told them not to do the additive, I will buy that my self for $15 and pour it into my gas tank. That following Saturday I take my car in and speak to a service tech who looks up my account and tells me that the maintenance plan I though I bough is not on my account and I will have to pay. So, I went home looked through my paper work and found nothing stating I purchased it. But verbally I was told I purchased it. So I paid for something and have only word of mouth. My loss. I'm happy with the car, I'm unhappy with colonial hyundia of downingtown. Originally I gave them a good rating, but that was right after I bought the car, I should have waited to see how they treat me once fear of losing a sale is gone.

Had 10 months left on my Elantra lease, wanted to work with the team to get into a used F-150 King Ranch they had on their lot. My wife and I had leased the Elantra 3+ years ago from Colonial, and in that time had also purchased a 2013 Santa Fe from them as well. Being a repeat customer, you would think they would be appreciative, flexible and forthright when working on a deal - not the case. Went through the same dog-and-pony show that makes the car buying process so unbearable. After 2 hours, they offered me the following deal - sticker price on the truck (same price as listed online), all of my lease payments, early termination fee, and lease disposition fee + TTF. It was frustrating to say the least. Trying to get out of an inexpensive lease, and into a $40k+ vehicle should be a no-brainer for a dealership. Literally the exact opposite of working a deal. Went to Jeff D'Ambrosio the following day, and they were the exact opposite. Worked a deal with me over 4 days - until I was completely comfortable. Flexible on price, worked with me on buying out my lease (worked directly with Hyundai Motor Finance on negotiating), got me unbelievable financing, and treated me like a repeat customer (my first time there). Night and day experiences. Can't give them a one star rating, because my previous experiences were just OK, but certainly earned the two stars over three deals.

Having been t-boned by a texting millennial, in a crunching accident that totaled my car just 3 weeks back, I was in no mood for xxxxxxxx when I stepped into Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown this week. I had been stalking and searching a year and make of used car both in and out of state and low and behold, the car I wanted was under my nose and just 15 miles from my home at this dealership. I was driven to the dealer by a friend and within a minute of pulling in the lot, Clint Presgrove met me in the lot as I was searching for the car I had found on the website of the dealership. Questions and concerns were answered and not 'belittled' or embellished with fanciful and stereotypical used car banter, and he was versed in the car fax history of the vehicle- MEANING PREPARED, and this went a long way to both SAVING TIME, and selling the vehicle. Financing of the vehicle was smooth and professional by way of Steve and Clint, and I found this to be the best experience I have had in buying a car. Many thanks to all of you.Sincerely,Jason

Came in for service on my 2010 Sonata, and was killing time by walking the lot. I found a newer Sonata and asked Brian to look up the price. He gave me the information on the newer one, which was a CPO vehicle. After the test drive, he started talking to the finance people and came back with what I thought was going to be an undoable price. He got the used car manager to give me a little more for mine, and met all my criteria, so it was hard to refuse the deal. Needless to say, I left that day with a new car. Brian was very helpful and patient with my questions and concerns. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new car.

I was in need of a car and a friend recommended I go to Colonial Hyundai and see Robert Conn. I am SO glad that I did!! I was really nervous because I was afraid I would not get approved because of my credit. Once I walked in and started talking to Robert I started to relax. Not only was I approved but my payment even ended up within my budget range! It was the most wonderful experience buying a car I've ever had! There was a delicious cup of Dunkin Donuts tea waiting for me when I arrived, and he already had a few cars picked out for me...he made what I thought was going to be a painful experience very relaxing. I left with the perfect car for me, and I couldn't be happier!!! I Highly recommend Robert to anyone who is looking to buy a car without the pressure and hassles that often come with car shopping!

I brought my car in for service because the engine light came on. But while it was there had the oil change also. And I talked to Robert Conn about buying out my car. I got out from underneath the lease and did a buy out. Feel better now. Robert was a big help taken care us. And also the service dept. did a good job in checking my car over and it is fine.

I found Colonial on a web site for used cars. After completing the "contact seller" portion, I was contacted promptly by Clint Presgrove. I explained what I was looking for in a used car. I had been involved in an accident and I was dealing with limited funds as a result. Clint proceeded to tell me of available vehicles. None of those were what I wanted. Clint proceeded over time to search for a car for me without being overbearing. I live in Harford County, MD but the courtesy and positive attitude kept my interest. Clint contacted me telling there were 3 vehicles that were available that he thought I might like. The commute was worth the effort. I decided on an Elantra. So far I am more than satisfied. Sam Elters was instrumental in my purchase. There were some glitches in the finance process but it was satisfactorily resolved. Clint is highly professional, knowledgable and a joy to interact with.

Brian was fantastic! I would recommend him to everyone. He took his time and explained everything to me. He was friendly and I felt like all his attention was on me while we were working together. However, I didn't find the finance guy to be all that friendly. I had some questions when signing my paperwork and he seemed annoyed to have to answer them. They lady helping me said it wasn't her normal job and called him over... I don't remember his name though. Again, Brian is fantastic !! And Lou who sat behind him as friendly too and the guy from Tennessee ! I had my daughter with me at one point and he was very sweet to her.

From a ride from the train station to helping us with all our needs, Colonial Hyundai went out of the way! Originally went to view one vehicle and was able to go home with a newer model at a fair price.

Moe was fantastic to work with and made buying my first new car a very pleasant experience! He answered all of my (many) questions and provided superior customer service. I was extremely frustrated by other dealerships and salesmen trying to give me the run-around and take advantage of me to make a buck. At Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown, it was a seamless business transaction. I was treated fairly and with a high level of integrity. Thank you for everything and I'm loving my new car!!!

Replaced a 2015 Sonata (rear-ended-total loss) with a 2016 Sonata. Car is great.Ray Dymond is a pleasant Sales rep who knows the product very well. Dominick (finance) does his job well, which could translate into some unpleasant (high pressure) moments working out a deal. The Hyundai Sonata (Sport edition) is a lot of car for the money

I was in the market for a used care at a reasonable price. Clint was more than accommodating to what I was requesting. He went above and beyond what I was expecting when shopping for a used car. It is obvious that Clint has only the customer's needs in mind and it is shown in the way he handles the sale. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and informatively. There was absolutely no pressure at any time during the sale process.Clint should most definitely be considered an asset to the Colonial dealership.

Colonial Hyundai is a first rate dealership. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was so nice and professional. Brian Shattuck came highly recommended so I sought him out and I'm glad I did. His professionalism and understanding of what I wanted in a car was second to none. He made sure I got the deal I wanted and accepted nothing less. I'm so happy with my experience with Brian and Colonial that I would recommend them to anyone. Five stars!

i happened to visit Colonial Hyundai for my 06 sonata service on 30th Dec, and randomly was checking for other used cars. Then I met Ray at the office, and started a casual checking of used cars and trade in options. What more to say, i ended up in buying 2013 Sonata and drive back home after several checks and balances of poor credits and felt bit hard on the low pricing of my 06 sonata for trade in.But overall, It was pleasure doing business with Ray and i strongly recommend him with others. One thing i`ll be following up with him on one of the recall status of 12-13 model Hyundai sonata so that the status of my VIN to be updated in Hyundai site as clean..

This is the second Hyundai SUV which I purchased from Colonial Hyundai. I was very pleased with the performance of my Sante Fe and expect the same of my Tuson. I am a female and I appreciated the assistance of my sales associate, Clint Presgrove. He was very helpful, patient and has a great personality. I believe he went beyond what Colonial requires of their sales reps.I am pleased with my purchase and will not hesitate to recommend Clint Presgrove to anyone.

Walk in nervous & anxious because I hate buying a car. However, that won't happen again being I keep going back to Colonial. I drove 40 miles one way to the dealership & I have to say it was the best 80 miles I have driven in a while. The vehicle, & the staff were/are great. Started out with Chris Gakas on the internet & everything we chatted about was right on & honest. Gotta love honesty when it comes to car buying. These folks work at making you happy & satisfied, and I am not EZ especially when I am buying a car.I clicked off the names of the people I worked with, but cannot (sorry) remember the name of the fellow who went over the papers with me. (Excellent job) I knew what he was saying :-)

This is a full service shop from sales to lifetime service of your car. I was curious about the Veloster due to its descent power and exceptional mpg. Joseph helped me out immediately. He was just the right amount of salesman I prefer. Not too pushy, just helpful and knowledgeable. To make a long story short I left with a new car. Two days later I had some questions and requests for some additional paper work and he provided that for me in a few hours.

My sales rep Brad Tripplett was very helpful during the buying process. He's also a very kind and knowledgeable asset to colonial. I never left with a question un-answered or a problem unresolved. Brad took his own personal time(stayed late) to work out the paper work with me. I greatly appreciate being able to have worked with such a pleasant employee. Brad not only went out of his was to accommodate me, but my family as well(which we deeply appreciate). After multiple test drives(of my choice because I can never make up my mind), Brad finally found the perfect car to suit all of my needs. I proudly left with a 2016 Elantra! Thank you very much to Brad and the financial team!

I have owned Chevy vehicles for over 30 years and due to circumstances beyond my control I was in the market for a vehicle. One of my friends had a great experience at Colonial so I decided to check them out last Saturday. I went in with an idea of want I wanted and was greeted by Sam Srisook, he was able to show me a variety of vehicles in my price range and took the time to show me a number of those vehicles. I ended up going with a certified Hyundai that had more of the upgrades I wanted rather than a lower end new vehicle. Sam was very friendly and knowledgeable, I was also able to take the vehicle home over the weekend and purchase it on Monday. I will definitely share my experience with all my friends and give them Sams name and number. Thank you Colonial and Sam.

Yesterday I stopped at Colonial to look at some cars that I would potentially purchase. My car had broken down the night before, so I was a bit shell-shocked and not in a car-buying mood. Robert Conn made me feel extremely welcome and at ease with my purchase. He was 100% truthful with me about everything from the quality of Hyundai to expected payments. Robert also did everything in his power to meet my needs as far as monthly payments. Robert was a gentleman to both my mother and my fiance throughout the whole process. I could continue to write a review in regards to Robert's excellence, but the list would far surpass the word count.

I went to Colonial Hyundai to buy a used car they had on the lot. Hen i stepped in the door no one greeted me, 2 of the sales guys were standing there chatting and three were at their desks but they had no customers. I had to walk further in and find someone to ask after waiting for someone to respond to my presence, which didn't happen. Per their board they only had 4 customers, and since I had made an appointment, I was one of them. When I test drove the car the check engine light went on. Long story short, I had to come back to buy the car but when i did there was another problem, so I was sitting around for 5 1/2 hours. The Used car manager was nice enough but had no wiggle room on the price due to this problem. However, Clint Presgrove, the gentleman who actually helped me was great! He walked me through the process, was genuine, and really helpful. He made me feel at home even while I was waiting for some repairs that had to happen. If you're going to go to these guys, ask for Clint!

BUYER BEWARE!!! Their lifetime engine warranty is only valid if you have all routine service done at their dealership. I purchased a certified car from them on December 28, 2015 and was told I could take my car to any Hyundai dealership for service. This is true for the Hyundai warranty , but not for the lifetime engine warranty they gave me. They did not tell me when I purchased the car that I had to bring it back to their dealership in order to be valid. I found that out later when I read the warranty. This lifetime warranty was a deciding factor in purchasing the car. I feel as though I was deceived in the sales process! Also , I tried calling the sales manager for two days to express my concerns. They would not return my calls. Finally, he called me back. Long story short, he said you signed the warranty! They are using unethical sales practices, this is why I'm writing this review.

Lou Ziegler was a delight to work with. I have used the service department regularly over the last seven years and am always satisfied with the work and with the service people I have dealt with, particularly Donna. Nearly 3yrs ago I went to Colonial and did a lease on an Elantra. I was so impressed by the salesman's knowledge of the car. They could answer every question I could come up with. Now my lease is almost up and I just fell in love with the car that I de-sided to buy it. I worked with a different sales man this time, due to my other one had moved on to bigger and better adventures. Brian Shattuck was really good at helping me to do the buy out. Lou Ziegler was great and if I only worked with him, this would be a 5 star review. He presented lots of options, understood we wanted a certified pre-owned car and didn't push a new vehicle on us, which I appreciated. However, whoever it was we had to deal with for the financial side was disappointing. This person didn't even try to present a low interest rate, despite the fact I brought interest rates from my bank, and the bank's rates were all lower than what he offered. I didn't like having to nickel and dime down to a rate to match my bank's. Especially since we kept hearing that the dealer's interest rates would be better than the bank's, and this guy kept telling me how great my credit was. I think he was hoping we wouldn't notice the interest rate, since he went right into his presentation.

Spare tire wasn't included with car, this was the only additional equipment I wanted. Went back and spoke to a Manger, he told me the best he could do was sell it to me at cost, when I said no, they said if I gave them a good review he could get me the spare at 1/2 price. Talk about being blackmailed. Got the spare today, two weeks later, no charge, finally.

Somewhere along the lines Customer Service skills has been lost by so many industries. I took my car in to be serviced and was scheduled to pick up a loaner while it was in for repairs. Unfortunately the power was out at the dealership most of the day and I didn't receive a call that the loaner wasn't available. The service representative expressed that he couldn't help and that I needed to reschedule for another day. I was not happy because I had just traveled a little over an hour to get there after work. Sales Representative Jean Paul Simpsons heard me and the service rep going back and forth about the loaner. The service rep. expressed that there was nothing he could do and walked away. Mr. Simpsons asked me what was gonna on and I told him the situation. He went and got the General Manager and they issued me a loaner right on the spot. I purchased my 2007 Santa Fe from Colonial brand new and when I purchase my next vehicle in 2016 it will be with Mr. Simpsons at Colonial Hyundai because of this experience. It was good to see a Salesman come to the rescue when it wasn't for a sale! Excellent Customer Service on Mr. Simpsons and the GM's part.

My company car is up for replacement, and the Sonata is one we can choose. I visited several Dealerships. This is one of two that went above and beyond, considering the salespeople won't get the credit. However, I CAN, and WILL, note that Jean Paul Simpson, went out of his way to show me why I should choose the Sonata. He even pulled out two vehicles for me to view; one which I drove. He thoroughly explained the "Blue Link" app and why it would be of value to me. One of the Sales Managers also took time to greet me and answer questions. I chose a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport and am looking forward to retiring my 2010 fusion. If a Dealer is that attentive when they don't get much for it, just imagine what kind of service you'll get when they do. Very nice experience.

I have to honestly say that this was a totally great experience, and not what I was expecting beforehand. The main reason for this was because of Ray. What a true gentleman and an example of how all automobile sales people should act. He was extremely honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all, personable and professional through every step of my purchase. I truly felt like I was dealing with an old family friend, and not someone I had just met. I can honestly say that without a shadow of a doubt that I would not hesitate to refer any of my family and friends to come to this dealership when they are seeking to purchase an automobile, and to make sure that they ask for Ray. Your dealership should be extremely proud and grateful to have such an outstanding person working for you.

I arrived at colonial after having a horrible experience with kia of coatesvile down the street. Upon arrival Brian was out in the parking lot waiting for me and was extremely welcoming. He helped me realize my buying power and selected a few vehicles for me to look at. We decided on a 2016 Elentra due to my 0 credit rating. Vinny, Brian and John worked hard to get me approved even though it was 930pm (30 minutes past closing). I was approved and John handled my financing quick and professionally, and I was on my way. I would recommend this team to my grandmother or a stranger. Big thanks to the team at colonial for getting me in a reliable vehicle with little hassle and a great time. Five stars!!!

My experience with Colonial Hyundia of Downingtown was great. Everyone there was so nice. My salesmen Sam Srisook was great. He was very honest about the information I on the Dodge Dart needed. He was very helpful and willing to give me the best deal he was able to. I love my car and I am really glad he was able to help me to make the right decision of trading my 2001 prelude in. Our Saleman, Mohamad . Al-Emarah, was patient, well-informed, and sweet! In fact, this Dealership has a really great staff! I have never felt so comfortable while buying a car EVER! I took a test drive in an Accent, in Silver, but, I really wanted black. Mohamad, graciously went out to the yard and found a beautiful new black hatchback that was just perfect. He was so personable too. Made us feel like we were his only concern last Saturday. We appreciated working with him, and will pass his name along to our friends. Johnathan Seijo, prepared our paperwork, quickly, and accurately. He was also very sweet and most pleasant to work with. These two gentlemen and the Dealership as a whole, can't be beat! It's not your typical Dealership. Thank you for everything.

Had a good experience overall but Moe Alemarah really paid attention to details and, for me, that's the kind of thing that really elevates a business. As an example, he went to fill the gas tank and the car got water spots on it on the way back so he brought it to the detail guys before bringing it out, then made sure to sync my phone before I left and helped to program anything else that would save me time. This is not my first Hyundai but my first time at Colonial and I would recommend them.

Just leased my third Hyundai from Colonial. I had a 2011 Sonata Turbo, then went up to 2013 Azera. After some collision damage and after seeing 2015 upgrades, I went in to see what I could do. I got out of my lease more than two years early and into a 2015 for putting the fees down and 30 bucks more a month. Given I was like 8,000 underwater on my old lease, I am ecstatic. Sale was low pressure and focused first on making sure I liked the car. They negotiate tough like everyone else, but so do I, and they are completely upfront about add ons (they go out of the way to tell you things like debt shield and Simoniz care are optional). Salesmen was a great young guy named Mohammed (Moe). They clearly value repeat customers, or they wouldn't have gotten me out of a lease with those numbers. I've always had good service with them as well.

Moe met us at the door and was very relaxed and pleasant! There was no pressure what-so-ever and we showed up 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday. Moe acted as if he had all day (weekend) with us! What started out as a "test drive only" visit, became a sale! We're very pleased! IF their Service Department is just as hard working and friendly, then we're in business! Thank you!

During a dealership promotion which drew a lot of interested customers my salesman was able to make me feel he was totally engaged with me while having to handle other customers. Even though the dealer did not have the car I wanted on site they found it and had it available to me in two days. The financial officer we worked with provided the most detailed and satisfying financing and warranty service I have ever experienced. When we picked up our new car it had been washed and cleaned looking as "brand new" as it should.

My car was unexpectedly totaled so I was thrust into the car shopping/buying experience sooner than anticipated. I had been looking to upgrade from my sporty coupe to a larger crossover and have always heard good things about Hyundai - my dad has owned a couple and it was on my consideration list when I bought my first car 11 years ago - so I paid them a visit. The whole experience was wonderful - everyone was so friendly and it didn't feel like a typical dealership visit. They had music playing and great food on the grill so, while I'm sure they value making sales, they do an even better job of creating relationships with the neighborhood. I'd feel comfortable stopping by just to say hello and grab a bite to eat without feeling pressured into a sale. But my salesperson, Jeremy, listened to my needs and found a great car for me. I pretty much fell in love with the Tucson instantly, but wanted to do my due diligence so I shopped around and test drove vehicles at some other dealerships. I went back to Colonial a few hours later to finalize my purchase with no regrets and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for great customer service (and a new vehicle)!

I did a ton of research on line. I identified the make, model, and package I wanted and determined a fair for the new car. I also researched the value of my trade-in. After searching on line, found a dealer that had exactly what I wanted, call them, and said this is my new car price and trade-in expectations I'm willing to work with. They invited me in (45 minutes drive for me), sat down with the sales man and finance guy and came to agreement on terms that both the dealership and I could afford. I was pretty stubborn with what I could afford and we made it work.

I need to express my disappointment to the way I have been treated lately. I have been a customer of Colonial Hyundai since 2005. I purchased 3 Hyundais from your dealership as well as being responsible for the purchase of 4 more cars at your dealership from family and friends I have recommended. I co signed on a loan for my son in law (Antonio Borriello) last July for a 2014 Elantra. We were told that after 10 months of payments we could come in and refinance the car under my son in law. All payments have been made on time. Antonio called and spoke with Bill Fletcher last week and made an appointment to come in on Monday May 25, 2015 (Memorial Day) to refinance the car under his name. The appointment was set for 12 noon. He was running a little late since he lives in Philadelphia and works nights, so I called and said we would be there no later than 1 PM. We arrived shortly before 1PM and waiting for Bill to finish with a customer only about 10 minutes. However, Bill told us we would have to speak with the sales person who originally sold us the car (Bill Gallagher). We then had to wait 45 minutes until Bill finished with his customer. Mr. Gallagher took our information and was very pleasant as always but after a half hour came back to us and said we would have to wait around the dealership all day "since refinances do not take precedence over new sales because the company does not make money on them and they were very busy. Our application was put to the back of the list". He would call us the next day. My son in law drove over an hour to be at the appointment that was made for him and was basically pushed aside. As you can tell I am very frustrated with the entire sales department now and very much considering no longer referring customers and possibly not buying another Hyundai for my next car. I've always had a sense of importance when entering the dealership especially in the service department where I was recognized by name (from Abby and Donna) The last service I had there was not quite the same welcoming atmosphere although pleasant and helpful.SincerelyJames Puorro610-636-62685/26/15 - Received a call early afternoon from John Landosga at Hyundai regarding this matter. He apologized for what happened and said he was going to speak to Mr. Ashdale, Mr. Tucci, and Mr. Gallagher and we would receive a return call before the day was over.5/28/15 - No one from Colonial Hyundai has called back after speaking with Mr. Landosga. At this point, you have lost my customer loyalty and had better make a good deal for my son in law. I also was considering trading my 2013 Hyundai for an updated model however I've decided to check other dealerships (not Hyundai) that actually treat all customers equally.5/28/15 - Call from Mr. Tucci who said he was not at the dealership when the deal was made and tried to back out of all agreements made. Told me I am totally responsible for payments on the car as is and he could do nothing else unless we made a large down payment.6/5/15 - I made several calls to your customer service center during the week. They tried to contact the dealership with no return call. On 6/5 I was informed that the customer service center has no influence on the dealership. Why bother having a customer service center? My case # is 7941326. I will never purchase another Hyundai in my life and all the positive references I have given Hyundai have turned completely negative. I will no longer talk up your automobiles.6/15/15 Received email from Hyundai corporate that they could not help me any further since the dealership did not respond to their attempts to call. They closed the case. Terrible customer service and will not recommend this dealership any longer

I first visited this dealership a few months ago just to see if I was in a good place to buy a newer car. I had seen all the specials online and decided I couldn't pass up double warranty, but I knew nothing about buying a car (I paid cash up front 10 years ago for my last car, a 2000 accent).I test drove an Accent gs with Brian, a down to earth dude, and afterward he did up the paperwork so I could see what the payments would look like. I got a bit of sticker shock at first because I really didn't know what to expect, but I went home and did a lot of research, looked into leasing, and emailed Brian a ton of questions. He got back to me right away every time and would always give me a straight answer. I booked another time with Brian and was able to take out a 2011 Elantra Touring (I like the look, I wish they still made them), and an Accent Sport. I had been leaning towards a Sport all along, and with the specials, my trade in, and the double warrenty it really wasn't something I wanted to pass up. Brian worked with me to get a great deal and monthly payments I was comfortable with. There was a tiny bit of a hiccup at the end because I used one of Hyundais specials that apperently only 2 other people had ever used before but we got it all worked out and now I have my first ever new car!

I went to Colonial Hyundai looking for a modestly-priced vehicle without any serious intentions of purchasing. I was really just looking around. I had spent weeks looking already and was almost ready to decide not to get a car at all.I saw Ray Dymond, who was fantastic -- he listened to what I was saying, didn't do the whole high-pressure sales tactics malarky, just took my intentions and helped me. He found a car so good that I left the lot intent on buying. That's a huge turnaround in a short space of time for me -- he was that good. When I ended up purchasing, the dealership threw in $2000 of repairs without any cost to me, and they didn't stick on extra charges in financing -- they actually convinced my credit union to lower my monthly payment.Overall -- I got an XG350 for a great price, fully repaired, running like new. I can't wait to refer friends to these guys. They know how to sell cars.

It was around a month back when I visited this dealership for a used car purchase. Their had good inventory of cars (obviously Hyundai dominant) and the staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. Right from my first phone call with queries to appointment to purchase they were prompt in their service. My first appointment was a fact finding mission. I am a female so I did take my 28yr old son with me as I do feel that treatment is slightly different for a female on her own. I have found this anywhere that cars are involved.I needed to make a decision as to whether I wanted to take the buyout option on my lease Hyundai Tucson or lease a new one. Brian had been in touch with me a couple of times and we finally made an appointment. The bottom line for me were the numbers. Brian was very happy to find out all I wanted to know and brought his manager over to talk about my options. Even though I had said that I would not be making a decision that evening both guys were very helpful without any pressure.I ended up returning the following week and leasing a new Tucson.

Disappointed and salesperson changed his story on providing Us with floor mats. Finance guy threw them in AFTER we bought extended warranty. Lost $1000 on Honda trade-in value because of so-called hail damage. Our Honda was never in a hail storm. VERY DISAPPOINTED! We love Hyundai and John Ashdale is a great spokesperson for the brand, but this experience was not a positive one for us.

colonial Hyundai of downingtown was a great place to do business and purchase my new car. I had decided that I wanted a Hyundai and I went to the colonial Hyundai of downingtown dealership to test drive and figure out exactly which car I wanted. It turned out that they had the perfect car for me in stock! And I bought it that day. The deal went smoothly and hassle free. I drove out with my new car! I enjoy driving it everyday now. The staff was great in helping me get my new car! Thank you.

Dealership had no power due to recent storm. They managed to power one computer by hooking it up to a car and using a cell phone as a 'hot spot.' We made our purchase just as the power came back on.

After dealing with JP, my husband and I will never forget the words "I am far from a car salesman, i'm just your guide to buying a car". Although we did not purchase the car today, I will definitely be coming back to Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown to buy our new car. For reasons beyond his control, we had informed JP that we were hesitant to come back to this dealership to purchase our new Hyundai. JP insisted that we stop and look around and notice all the new faces. He informed us that the owner was aware of the issues, and had gone back to the basics of building a customer base for life. Those words, his actions, and the demeanor of everyone in the dealership showed us that they weren't just words but a reality. Therefore I would highly recommend colonial Hyundai to anyone who is looking for A great car with even better customer service. Thank you again JP

This has been the best dealer expeience I've ever had. Normally you walk out of a dealership wanted to dive into traffic or feeling abused. Jean-Paul was awesome, easy to deal with and extremely friendly. I would absolutely use them again.

Brian was easy to work with, he was professional, accommodating, and was not pushy. Once I told him what I was looking for in a vehicle and what my budget could handle, he presented several different options and did not try to push me in other directions. Overall, from the first visit to driving off the lot with our vehicle everyone at the dealership was friendly, helpful, and professional.

Everyone at Colonial that I interacted with was extremely knowledgable in their specific field. I walked in just looking for a used car and ended up driving away in a brand new car from the showroom floor! I didn't think I'd be able to afford a brand new car but Colonial made it happen! Thank you!!!

My salesperson was friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed negotiating with him. However, the car was delivered without one of the more important items that was promised. I felt they tried to get out of delivering it. This made a very negative impression on me. It was the only detail I added to the final deal and it was simply overlooked at delivery.

I traveled from Maryland to purchase a 2014 Genesis after finding an amazing deal on the dealership's website. The car was everything it was advertised to be, simply beautiful, and the staff was courteous and professional. Importantly, there was no haggling, and the staff promptly completed my sale so I could get back on the road for my 2 hour drive home! I highly recommend Colonial Hyundai, and my salesman, Brian, was the best!

We were immediately greeted when we arrived, without an appointment. They were very busy, but made sure that we were taken care of. They allowed us to take a test drive at our own pace, and were ready to assist us when we returned. The Internet sales manager, John, and salesman Brad T, were very helpful. We also received good follow up from Shira.

My wife and I were looking for a new vehicle and it was a pleasure to work with a dealership and sales person who simply worked out the best deal they could give and not quibble or pressure us to buy their car. Ray was very helpful and flexible in meeting out needs and schedule and has continued to be so after the sale. The rest of the dealership was also very friendly and helpful. Would go back without a second thought and recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Hyundai,

Recently, the timing belt on my 2007 Hyundai Accent with a hundred and sixty six thousand miles broke which bent a valve in the intake. I was not prepared to go buy a new car, and I get very nervous about going into a dealership because buying a new car is a big investment! So I was very pleasantly surprised to meet Ray Dymond,a very nice fellow, who didn't put any pressure on me and helped me get the best deal for the car that I wanted. The first price quote was for 2015 Veloster turbo. I thought the price was a little high for my budget and voiced my concern to Ray.he went back in to talk to the manager and after a few minutes came out and gave me a better price. He knew I was very nervous because I hadn't made car payments in quite a while but he made me feel really comfortable and by the time I left I knew that I could afford my new car! Also, there is a very lovely young woman named Katie who gave me an in depth tutorial while we were sitting in the car - the Veloster has a LOT of features, and she was very helpful in showing me how all the features worked.Colonial Hyundai's staff is very knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly - even the sales people who were not working with me were very, very friendly. I bought my last Hyundai from this dealership, and that's the reason I went back was because everyone was so nice and I didn't feel pressured in any way.My 2007 Hyundai was a great car, I had no problems with it ever, so that's another reason why I decided to go back to Colonial Hyundai - Hyundai makes a great car for the price.

We had a fantastic experience with Colonial Hyundai, primarily due to our sales representative Ray Dymond! He was very accommodating and professional throughout the process. He helped us through the hoops of purchasing a used vehicle without undue pressure. His calm and confident personality made him easy to talk to and he took the time to get to know us, which truly sets him apart from other salespeople. I would highly recommend Ray to anyone looking for a vehicle - new or used!! He is the real deal!

I had a great experience at Colonial Hyundai- particularly because of my sales guy Ray Dymond. He was very knowledgeable, super friendly and went above and beyond for me throughout the entire process. In the end, I decided to buy out my current lease- Ray's input was extremely helpful. His not-at-all-pushy-style enabled me to make the decision that was right for me- even though it did not end in a sale for him. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I would highly recommend Ray to friends and family. --S.A.

I am a loyal Hyundai customer I've now purchased a total of 3 vehicles from Colonial Hyundai. 2 within a week of each other. The sales person Brian Shattuck worked patiently with me and my struggle with buying a Hybrid 2015 Sonata or a Standard Sonata as well as working through leasing a vehicle for my family. By the time we were done I had leased a new Elantra Sport and Purchased a new Sonata Limited. I appreciated Brian's patience and his effort in getting me the information and a deal that we could both live with. I have always recommended colonial Hyundai and Hyundai products. I Would now also recommend Brian to other buyers as a sales person. Especially to those like me who are really non car people.

We were looking to lease an economical car within a budget of under $200. When we walked in, JP greeted up with a cheer and soon after helped us walk away in just the car we wanted! Even though we arrived towards closing time, JP was extremely dedicated to getting us the car we wanted and at a price we could afford. He was a pleasure to work with....certainly one of the best car buying experiences we have had....sincere and honest...Definitely will refer the dealership and JP to family and friends! Thank you!

First and foremost, Jim Carpenter was excellent in his customer service skills. He went out of his way to be friendly, respectable and provide knowledge when needed. I was happy with my service recall work. The mechanic did a nice job and respected my junk in my car. I was very happy with my experience but cant say enough for Jims expert customer service skills. I am a job coach so I look for these things and from my professional experience, he is top rated.

I purchased a 2011 Infiniti G37x that was In Excellent Condition, 25k miles, 1 owner, clean & Clear carfax, most importantly for an unbeatable price! I literally compared all the dealers prices for the car I wanted and no one came close! They made me feel like I was at home, they weren't pushy, and my salesman Ray Dymond was hilarious and didn't try to pressure me to buy! I woke up the next morning with NO REGRETS and my car rides so smooth and does not guzzle gas compared to my Camaro!

I was looking to trade in my Chrysler Town & Country Minivan and saw the Santa Fe on the corner of your lot. I loved the color and the look of the crossover in general and came in for a test drive. Katie Schaffer helped me out with my test drive and honestly I knew it was "my car" before we even left the lot. I LOVE IT! My car buying experience from first inquiry to SOLD was an absolute pleasure and met with ease. The Santa Fe also had a moderately large scratch on the hood that was badly touched up by the previous owner. Colonial's detail department (Todd Avery) took care of the scratch for me and it looks amazing!! I cannot say enough about this dealership! Thank you Katie Schaffer, Steve Tucci, John Seijo and Colonial Hyundai!!

I brought my 2014 Sonata in for warranty service, because the electrical system was completely dead. I had it towed to the dealer, and we arrived right at 6pm which is the usual closing time for service. Service associate Donna was very helpful, and stayed over to help me get a loaner vehicle and schedule the service the next day. The next day (3/26/15) I called Jim, who was assigned to our vehicle, and he informed me that the battery was completely dead and would not take a charge, but was under warranty coverage and the cost would be taken care of. When I picked up the vehicle Jim was also very friendly and I was on my way very quickly and efficiently. You have a great service staff, as I have always received exceptional service at your dealership! Thanks Colonial Hyundai!!!

Purchased a 2012 Hyundai S ante Fe from this dealership and I can say I couldn't be more happier. Everyone was very friendly with you even if they weren't the one selling you the car. We went expecting to buy a really crappy car just to get us by and by the end walked out with the newest car I ever had.We purchased this car back in December 2013 and then made a appointment with Lou Ziegler to refinance the same existing car because we wanted to put a large sum of cash down on the car loan and wanted this to go all to principal balance. After all was said and done we walked out with more then we expected. Lou was very helpful at keeping my kids 4 and 7 under control he even let my 7 year old play on his ipad. None of the sales people were pushy and you were treated like everyone else no matter what kind of money you had or make. I really recommend this dealership and Lou Ziegler to help you get a car you want. I will certainly be buying a car from Lou Ziegler in the future hopefully he never leaves this dealership! I live about an hour from this dealership and I would rather travel the distance then buy a car closer to me because of the amazing service and salesman Lou Ziegler. Thank you for being awesome!

I was looking for a new car to get to work and started browsing your website and chatted online with questions about different cars I was looking at. When arriving the next day to speak with the person I spoke with online, I was immediately helped. We purchased a 2014 Hyundai Santa fe sport. It was a managers special. Overall it was a very good experience. Jenn, the Internet specialist is the reason we came to look at the car. She returned the information I requested in a very timely manner. The other dealership that had the same color car we wanted has not even contacted me! One complaint we have is the time it took to get in and finish the paperwork. We waited about an hour to even get in and sign the papers. The other complaint is the surprise you get when you sign the papers and the guy tells us the warranty is not near as good as they make it sound. An example is the power train. If a component outside the internals goes and causes the internal parts fails ,it is not covered. What a joke! Other than that,we couldn't be happier with the new vehicle. Bill, our salesmen was also very good! Knowledgable about the product and very easy going not pushy! My kined of salesman.

My car was totaled in the hail storm we had here in the Reading area and there are just no cars around my area anymore and the dealers I went to seemed tiered of selling cars, because they just didn't care at all. So when I got to colonial Hyundai, it was so nice to be greeted with friendly faces. The entire staff was so nice and professional the whole time. I decided to purchase the car, which I believe was the right move for me. The sale girl offered me water and when I mentioned that my phone was dying, she looked and asked if it was an android and offered me her charger. The whole experience was great. I don't think I ever had a nicer, more supportive way of purchasing a car, and at 56 yrs old, I've had my share of car buying, including the purchasing of the first couple of cars for my sons. I have heard a ton of horror stories in the last couple of weeks, since I know so many people who's cars got totaled in this hail storm and they had to buy a new car. Thank you for making MY STORY a great one. I have and will continue to recommend you. Sincerely, one happy customer

I saw a vehicle online, 2005 mazda6 priced at $4990. I called because the vehicle was listed as a Mazda6 I sport (I-4 cylinder motor), The vehicle appeared to me to be the s sport (V-6 cylinder motor). I was hoping for it to be the V6. When i called and voiced my concerns about this they assured me that it was not a v6 that it was an I4. I decided to go look at the vehicle anyway. When I arrived I noticed that the side of the vehicle had a V6 badge on it and when i popped the hood...sure enough 3.0L v6 motor. (would it have really been too much effort to actually look?)Test drive went great, I really enjoyed the car and the vehicle ran and handled great. The car was super clean and the only things i noticed wrong with it was it didn't have a radio antenna (radio didn't work) and the ceiling liner was falling down. They said that would have an antenna installed but they couldn't do anything about the liner. Now to the interesting part...So i sat down with the sales person and began discussing pricing. Now to my understanding this vehicle was $4990 and came with a 6month/6000miles powertrain and lifetime engine warranty. I asked multiple times while on the test drive if this $4990 price included what they call the "gold check" and i was assured that yes it was included in the price.I offered $3000 down and was willing to finance the remainder ($1990). now i have less than perfect credit so I was expecting a high interest rate, but what they came back with was the most ridiculous astronomical figure I've ever seen. With $3000 down and a 36 month loan my monthly payments would have been $239/month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He at this point turns the paper to me and tells me to sign it. I refuse and voice my concerns. He than goes and gets his manager to explain the figures to me.As it turned out the "gold check", which i asked multiple times if that was included in the internet price of $4990 and was assured that it was, Actually was and additional $990 and that the increase on the car price was due to my credit score. They total price of the vehicle was actually $6800 and I would have ended up paying $11,604 in total after financing. I told him that this was unexceptionable and not even close to what it should be. They told me to hold on while they try another lender. When they return they tell me that with $2000 down and $5000 financed for 36months my monthly payments would be $183/month. This was a MUCH more reasonable rate but still more than I wanted to spend so offered to pay in cash and asked what was the best price they could do for me. At this point I had to return to work so I offered to call them later. When I was done work I gave them a call, after thinking for a while, and offered them $5000 cash for the vehicle with none of their warranties /gold check. under the condition that I'd be able to take it to my personal mechanic and have it looked at prior to purchasing (which I and my family have done with every vehicle we have ever purchased). I was told that I would not be able to have the vehicle looked at by my mechanic without purchasing the vehicle and that they will not offer a return policy. The sales men spent about 20minutes explaining to me that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and that they stand by the cars they sold and they can assure me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle ( just liked they "assured" me that it was a 4 cylinder lol). The best price they were able to offer me was $5800 (internet price for this was $4990...). This price was with no warranties. i was told that because the car had been detailed and state inspection. (at any other dealership this has been offered as a courtesy to the costumer not at an additional $810). And I would not be able to take the car to my mechanic prior to purchasing. Needless to say I did not purchase this vehicle and I will not be purchasing a car from this dealership. Below is a link to the vehicle I was looking to purchase. I would post pictures of the ridiculous numbers they gave me for financing but I don't think I can do that on here. If anyone would like to see them just send me a request. http://www.colonialhyundaipa.com/VehicleDetails/used-2005-Mazda-Mazda6-i_Sport_Sedan_4D-Downingtown-PA/2269114843

My wife and I bought a 2014 Santa Fe at this dealership and we were very pleased with price nogociaton process as well as customer service of our salesman Bradley. He worked hard with his manager Joe to get us the deal where we are more comfortable with. I will absolutely recommend this dealership to my friends and family.

My salesman Anthony Cappello was very accommodating in explaining all aspects of the 2014Sonata Limited which I purchased. Anthony was professional and courteous throughout the entire buying experience.I really enjoyed the fact that there was no pressure to buy, but Anthony did his best to give me a deal which I was most satisfied with. I certainly would like to recommend Anthony as a salesman who will really look after his customers.

It's really 4.75 stars! Needed an oil change on my Santa Fe Sport 2.0, and,I thought, a tire rotation. Abby reminded me I just had the rotation done 4,000 miles earlier, so I didn't need it this visit. (Way to go, Abby!) In and out in less than an hour on a Saturday morning! Woo-Hoo! The only downside was that the technician didn't reset the maintenance minder, so later that day I started getting reminders. I'll have to figure out how to reset it. Bummer.

Our Salesman, Anthony Capello was OUTSTANDING. He was respectful of our time, respectful of our thoughts and concerns and was not a "high pressure" sales person. I think Anthony should train others how to sell a car without being overbearing and/or obnoxious. He did great follow-up and we feel if we have any issues with the car they would be addressed right away. I have recommended him to anyone who is in the market for a car.

I am not one to complain normally, but due to a series of poor management and service events since I purchased a car from Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown, PA, I find it compelling to write and tell the experience of a not so happy used car owner. The Sales Manager is pushy and deceiving. The Finance Person will lower a loan interest rate multiple times in order to get you to buy the extended warranty....also pushy. The Service Manager is just plain mean and somewhere in the service area, they will either just plain lie to you or actually don't have a clue of what they are talking about. Also, in 6 months of owning a used 2009 Sonata, it has been recalled twice....and forget about making an appointment and waiting on it!

John Ashdale is a man of his word. He made a happy customer out of me! Lou aka "Rock" was a great salesman. He explained all the paperwork and ins & outs of the new car. I received 3 calls in the first 3 days, from Colonial asking if I was satisfied with my purchase.

I was attempting to buy a used car. I called verses visiting the dealership. The salesperson said yes we the car you are looking for. Salesman took all my info, called back and forth, now i am ready to drive to Penn., but all of a sudden I can not reach the salesperson. I leave three voice recordings, no reply., this was on friday. On saturday, I called several times, no reply. On monday, called back three more times, no reply from him. Finally I called his sales manager. Sales manager reply was: Sir, I am sorry but the car you wanted was sold on saturday. The first sales person was to chicken to face the music because of the GAME he was playing.

When purchasing my vehicle they lied to me about what vehicles they had in stock to get me in just to up-sale me. Then just recently a had a coupon for one year free service and they refused to honor it. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! Buyer beware. I will never use them for service ever again.

I purchased a 2013 Elantra and it was a wonderful experience. I have never experienced such a professional and friendly group than I did at Colonial Hyndai...from Matt (Sales) to Mike (Manager) to Bill (business manager). Being a woman and knowing how some dealerships have treated me in the past when I go in without my husband, I could truly appreciate my experience at Colonial Hyundai. I did have an issue and they worked with me to resolve it while being loaded with customers on black friday and everyone continued to smile and be polite the entire time. I give all of them 10 stars. My husband has a hyndai and I know the quality of the vehicle and with the staff at Colonial Hyundai it is definitely an award winning combination in my eyes. thank you Colonial Hyndai.

When I originally bought my car, the experience was ok. The car was a good deal with "Internet pricing", but the workers there were saying that it must have been a mistake and tried selling me other cars. I ended getting the Internet price for the car + $500...still a better deal than anywhere else I had seen. I received an "invitation" to get an upgrade on my car for less than I was currently paying *along* with a check for over $13K for my current car (2011 Sonata) along w/ their 40% Black Friday sale. Sounded fishy, but I thought I would be able to get a good deal for an upgrade...I was wrong. After 3 hours of waiting. they said for an "upgrade" they could give me a deal at $380 / month (2.5% APR) for 72 months ($27,360 total)! That's the same price as just buying the car without any "deals" and them getting my car for free. I will not waste anymore of my time dealing with the crooked ways of this dealership and I'll be sure to advise others not to as well.*Edit* : After getting a BS reply from the dealership, furthering the fact that they were pulling a "bait-n-switch" tactic, I wanted to add that not only did I wait 3 hours before anybody finally conversed with me, but I told them about my expectations from the beginning. Instead of them telling me they couldn't help me, they kept leading me on by telling me that they could definitely work something out and wasting more of our time even taking us for a test drive and having me wait around while they were "getting things together". Also to note, they were well aware of my car details as I had service done on my car a few months ago.

Appoint was for 60K sched maintenance on my 07 Azera. The appoint was set up wth my service advisor, Donna. Prior to the service she reviewed the items included as well as a few optional service upgrades that I accepted. We also discussed an issue with my cruise control system. The appoint date arrived and I dropped off the car early in the AM. Donna inspected the car and I was provided a pre-arranged loaner, which was a new Elantra. Off I went immediatly pleased with the appearance, functionality & operation of the Elantra. As the day progressed I found myself more and more impressed with everthing about that car. I was called by Donna mid-afternoon and informed that my car was ready. Upon arrival Donna & I reviewed the work order and I was informed that all went as scheduled including the check of my cruise control which turned out to require a replacement sensor which I was happy to hear was 100% covered under my extended 100k warrenty minus the $50 deductable required by my plan. The car had been washed and was ready to go. On the drive home, I couldn't believe how great the engine & trans performed! The new sensor and trans fluid flush really did the trick, producing a 'buttery' shift pattern! Another wonderful experience at Colonial and confirmation once again, of the value enhancement, derived from allowing the dealership to perform any and all needed service & warraanty work from the day you buy, until the day you sell! I thoroughly enjoy driving my car and honestly believe that everyone I have ever came into contact with at Colonial, beginning with the phone girls, all through sales & service and even including the detail guys, have 'always' performed thier jobs with an upbeat, positive and very pleasant, customer orientated approach!

*Rant and warning to my friends in the market for a car* Do not buy from Colonial Hyundai of Downington. They are shady characters. This may show how naive and gullible I am but want to get this warning out. Here is what happened.I went to Colonial to look at a 01 Toyota Rav4. I did not think very much of it so I asked what else they had in the price and mileage range. They said they had a 04 Hyundai Santa Fe. I liked it a lot in the test drive. So we started to negotiate. He came back with a price of $7,500 that he had crossed out and was offering $6,500. Told him it was more than I wanted to pay for it and he dropped it down to $6,000. I counter offered with $5,800. He went and spoke to his manager who returned with him. The manager stated that they price aggressively and were firm at the $6,000. I stuck to my price and the manager claimed to need to talk to the owner. The $5,800 was agreed on and we started the paperwork. While that took place Angie suggested I check out the website to see how good the deal was. I find the car listed at $4,990 (Pre-auction price) and in small print there is a $990 fee ($5,980). Because I didnt have this information at the start of negotiation they took advantage. The price we settled on was less that the asking price and blue book value but after the unethical and just wrong in principle dealings I no longer wanted to purchase a vehicle from them. Friends, please do not buy from Colonial Hyundai of Downington. Something else I learned is to know all the information before negotiations start. I was livid and Angie suggested I pull over leaving there to calm myself.

I made an offer on a nice used car with Colonial. Oddly, they said they would get back to me in 48 hours. Do you call that good customer service? They got back to me in only 45 hours and told me the car had sold on the day I made an offer. What kind of good sales manager would call that good customer service? Isn t it pretty lousy?

My husband and I went to look at some cars. He is specific about certain details for the car he was looking for. (Manual transmission, 2-door, etc...) The initial salesperson, Ben, was very patient and helpful. He offered us coffee or water, and was extremely courteous. He walked around the lot with us to try and find the right car. Unfortunately, there just wasn't a car that my husband was interested in buying. Ben then brought in the sales manager, Jim. That is where we started to feel pressured. We, like many people, are working within a budget, but the sales manager kept trying to show us cars outside of our price range. He was trying to push us toward a lease, which we really didn't want. When we were going back to our car, Jim came up to us, and tried to get us to stay and keep looking. I explained that we weren't 'in love' with any of the cars we saw there. He kept asking about the lease option on the last car we saw. I said, "we prefer to purchase/finance our cars". He then said, "when you finance a car, is it really yours?" I said I didn't want a sales pitch, and he then just threw his arms up and walked away without another word. He and the salesperson Ben. Ben was never impolite to us, and had it not been for the rude dismissal by their sales manager, Jim, we would have kept that dealership in mind for a second look. However, we will not consider them in the future. I understand that they are there to sell cars, but sometimes what you have to sell isn't what is right for that particular buyer. But you never know, it could be the customer that doesn't buy on the initial visit, can end up buying from you down the line, or recommending you to another buyer. In the end, whether a person is a buyer or not, there is something to be said for being polite.

This dealership was the worst I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. From the minute I walked in I felt as though they did not think I was capable of purchasing a car. They made me file out financing information before I could even see the car I was interested in. Needless to say I did not purchase from this dealer. I made a great purchase from another dealer that same day.

I purchased a used 2009 Sonata. My sales person, Michael Guido, was great. However, when it came to signing the paperwork, I learned that the 60,000 miles or 5 year warranty wasn't from the time of purchase as I understood from the manager, Michael Lutman. The finance person, Vince, spent 20 minutes explaining the Hyundai Protection Plan, which was a warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles. He recalculated my monthly loan payments 3 times and miraculously was able to lower my finance rate by 1% if I took the Plan. I didn't in hopes that the Hyundai name and the reputation of Colonial Hyundai matters and I won't need the Plan which was going to cost another $1000. Stay tuned.

I had a synthetic oil change done to my Sonata. Great price neat and done in a timely manner. BIG PROBLEM they put and undesired viscosity oil in. My vehicle clearly states on the oil fill and my owners manual the preferred viscosity oil is 5-W20, They put 10-W30 oil in. After complaining they said oh that will be fine in this climate. True but owners manual says for best fuel mileage to use the 5-W20 oil. They refused to change it and I lost 2 miles per gallon.

I reviewed cars.com and the Colonial website and narrowed my choice down to the car I wanted. Called and made an appointment and went out. Car was very nice, told the salesman I was interested because it was condition and price I was looking for. When we sat down I asked him what fees there there besides tax & tags, he said none. I made him an offer and he was very angry about the offer. I said its a starting point. He said its a no haggle price. I said nowhere did it say that. He showed me their website and smack in the middle is "make an offer, click here. He said I could make an offer, but they weren't going to take it. I was stunned. Turns out he came back with a higher price as it had the $1000 prep fee. I said I was leaving as this wasn't going well and he didn't care, said, goodbye. One of the managers came up and said I was the only one not buying a car today and what could they do to get me into the car. I told the manager that I asked what the car cost and Nick didn't tell me everything, he "forgot" about the $1000 fee and then got so angry when I questioned it. I am a single woman, there with my daughter, trying to help her buy her first car. When they discussed removing the certification and reducing the price, I wasn't happy. The car still has 20,000 and 2 years on the bumper to bumper. Sales Manager told me that the 100,000 Power Train warranty was not transferrable to a 2nd owner. I don't believe that. I walked away. I wanted that car, but I refuse to be treated like I can't read or understand and give them my money. Shame, we were ready to buy that night.

I spent two days back and forth with Anastasia trying to purchase a new sonata. I used true car and they also offered owner loyalty since we own a three year old Hyundai. We were offered an extra $400 in an email since quote they wanted us as a customer. I arrived about 11a Friday may 31. Anastasia was there but leaving and gave me over to Greg Ernst. I had my iPad and all the written quotes and emails. After two hours and back and forth they advised he price was higher and that they couldn't do the $400 they had offered. I left. I was PISSED. THEY LIED!!!! They said maybe it sold while I was there. Maybe it sold???? Either it did or didn't? They swear they didn't know??? REALLY!! I went to Conicelli Hyundai and purchased a great Sonata at a better price. They are nice people. Bottle waters and smiles. They bait and switch and they aren't honest. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. I own two hyundais now. One from porter and one from Conicelli. BUYER PLEASE BEWARE. DON'T GET A HYUNDAI HERE, BETTER SERVICE AND PRICES ELSEWHERE

This review is for a 2009 Hyundai Accent i purchased new at this dealership in 2009 (just found this site the other day). I will say I haven't had many issues with the service side of this dealership except perhaps an slightly over-aggressive parts replacement while doing inspections but in that, they aren't much different than any other place I've been. The main issue with this dealership is the sales side. I selected a car off the lot that had a sticker on for 14K-something. Nice inexpensive car (which I actually really liked before recently trading it in on something else). I told the sales person I wanted it around 2:30pm. It was an "event" day so very busy. But the paper work wasn't done until after 9pm. No snack food available and I'm diabetic so was shaking badly by the time the paperwork was made available. Consequently I just signed stuff and left not really being able to absorb the crap I was signing. It wasn't until the next morning that I was able to go through the paperwork (so much of it I thought I was buying a house). The coup de grace was the last form that made me swear to god that I understood everything I had signed so there were no tag backs. But I didn't. So the next day when I discovered I had paid an extra $500 for GAP insurance they never cleared with me and that there was a $2400 add-on in addition to various dealer prep fees that were NOT on the car (it was on a few other models but not the one I selected) to pay for lifetime car washes, lifetime nitrogen tire refills, state inspections, and because it was a popular model. In short, they added it on because they could bringing the actual price for the car to over $18K. I was furious. I managed to get the GAP thing refunded (well, not refunded but applied to the load balance) but when I went there to complain to the sales manager about the tactics that were used, I discovered my salesman had been promoted to that position that day.Stay away - stay far away.

Great experience right from the beginning. Our salesmen Greg Ernst was awesome, he helped us the entire time and made us feel welcome. He answered all of my questions and was a genuine help. I bought a Nissan Altima there and it runs great. They do have an enormous amount of brand new hyundai's but i was looking for a new car just yet. Also i had left some personal belongings in my trade in and before I could call him and ask about it, Greg called me and told me that he was sending them back to me. Great guy, great car and and very nice experience altogether.

Checked the reviews and read about the extra $990 dealer prep fee. But if the other people that complained would of taken the time to go to the details they would of seen this and it is not in the "small print". Purchased a 2011 Sonata certified pre-own Hyundai we love it. So I would say this take the time to read everything before you go out to purchase a car. This was the best experience I'v had in 50 years of car buying. It's the internet and must be true and "I'm a French model" lol

I have a 2010 Santa Fe which I have loyaly taken to the dealership for service for the past 2 years. After an oil change my car developed a leak. I took the car in 3 separate times to have the leak fixed and each time I was told it was fixed and I should not have another problem. It contiued to leak and I have taken it to another dealership to see if it can be fixed there under warranty. I am very disappointed that I was told that it was fixed and all 3 times it was not. To top it off the last time I got it back the drivers door handle and steering wheel was covered in grease (still don't have it all out of the door handle). Basically I feel lied to about the repairs that were supposedly being made.

My husband and I found a 2012 Sonata online with only 2k miles on it, via email we spoke with Anastasia to set up an appointment on a Friday morning around 11. We drove from New Castle, DE all the way to Downingtown with the hopes that we would drive away in a new car, though we were a bit hesitant due to our recently charged chapter 7 BKO. Upon entering the dealership we were set up with Lou Ziegler (sales associate), test drove the car we saw online and immediately began to work a deal. When it seemed that we would not be able to get the deal we needed/wanted, Lou perservered with finance and got us a decent rate (for post bko) with a reasonable down payment (1k). Lou, was AMAZING to work with and we will definitely use him as our dealer in the future. The down side to our visit was that it took almost two hours to have the car delivered to us, despite their 30 minute guarantee. I would have held them to their guarantee, but it meant that for a year I would have to drive an hour away for oil changes and that just isn't worth it to me. In addition to the slow delivery, our post-dated down payment check for 1k was deposited 5 days before the date on the check. This caused us to incurr $70 in bank fees. Lou has assured me that he will work on having our financial inconvenience rectified. All in all our experience was pleasant, especially in comparison to the horrible experience we had at Cherry Hill Triplex. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone that may have less than perfect credit, but needs a sound, reliable, warrantied car. If you are looking for a laid back, no pressure dealer, ask for Lou Ziegler to assist you with your purchase.

Just had a fantastic experience purchasing a used Mini, with the help of Nick and the hilarious finance dude (whose name I forget- sorry!). I have some past credit issues, but the dealership worked with my needs until we found a down-payment and monthly payment arrangement that worked for all of us. I couldn't be happier with my car or the attention I received. Thanks again, guys!

first i did not believe the negatives comments but after talking several time you can tell is all true they ask for 2.000 more from MSRP it was a very bad experience. I consider myself a smart person and i did lots of research about the car and pricing and such but at the end of the day i neglected to do research on the dealership itself. If i had read any of these reviews before. I called them out on a lot of things that seemed very fishy to me... I wonder how many other people are also being taken advantage of? If you take anything away from this post i advise customers to do your homework on the car1) no respect for your time 2) they are known to keep your title

If you like a old school type dealership this is the place for you. They still use the "I have to check with my manager " bs. And for additional drama that manager then will say he has to get the approval of his boss. It was a complete waste of time.what a joke.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this dealership. I was interested in possibly buying a new Hyundai since they have come a long way. However, I was offered a terrible interest rate of 11% on a new black Hyundai Santa Fe! I was outraged since I have good credit and a 10 year work history. The sales person and the finance guys kept trying to convince me to take this horrible deal and would not listen to what I wanted from them. Finally, I had enough and decided to take advantage of Honda's summer end deal. I was beyond pleased to have purchased a 2012 black CR-V with 0% interest!!!!! because as I wrote, I have good credit! Hyundai missed out on an opportunity by ignoring my desires and wants and trying to rip me off with a Hyundai that was overpriced. Hyundai's have come a long way but they're still not better than or as good as a Honda!

The price advertised on Cars.com is misleading, be sure to read ad carefully. I went to this dealership a couple times to checkout pre-owned vehicles. On one occasion, I was told the Cars.com price was minus $2000 cash or trade. When I reviewed the ad, it was written there, but not very prominent. The next car I checked out had what seemed to be a reasonable price for the car, but more than I was willing to pay, I drove similar car that was priced less at another dealership. When my wife and I sat down with salesman, the first thing he tried to do was tack on a $995 dealer's prep charge to the advertised price. Instead I gave him my own offer, when he returned with a "manager" they did come down on the price some, but not near what I offered, so we made a counter offer that was a little less. The manager eventually came back, shook my wife's hand on a deal at that price. We then find out that to make that deal, they dropped the Hyundai certification on the car. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would assume that if you are negotiating on a certified vehicle, then the price you are offering is on a certified vehicle. For the manager to ask the sales person about the warranty being offered on the vehicle after agreeing to the price we negotiated, then go back to double check the offer and return to tell us by the way we had to drop the certification at that price, seems a little shady. Obviously it cost the dealer something to certify a vehicle, so by dropping it they can sell the car for less and make a profit. But to negotiate down to a price you are willing to pay, shake on it, and then come go back to you to say that "he" (whoever that may be that has the final say), had dropped the certification on the car when he worked the numbers is just nonsense. They could have just told us up front, we can't make that deal, and be done with it.

I purchased my car in November the dealership was far from my home so I was concerned about getting it in for maintenace I was told I would get a loaner car. Well from day 1 my car pulled to the right and sometimes to the left. I had it back 3 times and each time I was told I did not qualify for a loaner car. Now after having the car 7 months I am told the rotars need to be replaced I need new tires and it is still pulling. I feel the constant pulling on the car is wearing the tires down faster and I was told one of the times I had my car in that the alignment was off and that is why it was pulling. I feel I got totally ripped off with my car and I absolutely hate this car.

Come in Monday to purchase a new car. The car that was on lot was the wrong year that was agreed to through emails and phone conversations and the car that was the correct year was a manual trans. Lou looked around for the same car but in an automatic and found one so I came in Tuesday and purchased it.

I had been looking to replace my 2001 Mercedes Benz with way too many miles with a fun to drive, but easy to repair vehicle. I came across a 2003 Mustang Ford Gt at Colonial Hyundai. The purchase process could not have been easier. I had researched the vehicle before going there so I knew what to expect regarding pricing. Colonial worked with me to get to price I wanted and best yet I monthly payment I could live with. I love the car. I would definitely buy there again and referred my mother in law who purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, she loves her car and the deal she received as well. Definitely go see the staff for a great deal on a car or two, lol.

This place has been a nightmare. From the beginning, they kept pushing and pushing until I would sign the lease by using tactics such as "this deal won't be here tomorrow" and "we've stayed here past closing working these numbers for you". Then I needed to get a Nav unit and back-up camera installed - they put the Nav unit in and didn't put the camera on because the paper work was written incorrectly. I ended up taking my car to the vendor to get a camera installed, the service desk at Colonial said it would take an hour, I was there for 3 hours. The Nav unit then malfunctioned and I had to get a rental while the vendor fixed that for a day. Finally, when I bought the car I was told I was getting 2 years of maintenance free but now that I am trying to get the work done, they said it was never part of the deal. This dealership is a joke. Don't buy a car here.

I initially contacted the dealer by asking for Internet pricing for the Tucson. The price was right so I went in. They basically gave me the quoted price (about $500 over the invoice I saw at another dealer) which seemed fair. Did not do a test drive with them as I test drove with another dealer. Our sales guy, Matt, was nice enough, low keyed and not pushy. He was probably the only decent part of the experience. After a wait for the finance guy, we went in. He offered us a lower interest rate (from a bank) than what Hyundai was offering. yeah! Part of his job is to offer different warranty packages...no problem. I even bought a package. Then he tried to get me to pay $70 for nitrogen in the tires, just like another reviewer said. I declined so he was very perturbed. He went and asked the service techs to let out the nitrogen and put in regular air. In the next few days, I noticed a slight vibration in the steering....tires are not balanced. Three days later, before I could take the car back to the dealer, I took the car on a 350 mile road trip that had been scheduled for weeks. The light to indicate problems with tire pressure went on three times!! Really, Colonial, Really?!! Coincidence?? You decide. Was this also a safety issue? Not sure. When I walked into service without an appointment, they told me that without an appointment, they might not have time for me, that I might have to come back in 2-3 days. It was Friday afternoon at 3:30pm and they looked finished with all work for the day. The service dept acted like I was inconveniencing them! In the end, I was told they balanced the tires but it still drives funny. They had some reason about the gps or cell phone making the light go on. Hmmm....My advice: if another dealer with a better record for service gives you a price close to what you want, go for it. This is the 4th new car I've bought and I cannot recommend this dealer. We are due for another new car but not likely to use this dealer again. I dread the thought of coming to this dealer for service; will have to check out another dealer for service. My first 1200 miles with the car should have been a better experience and, sadly, it wasn't. Once they have your money, they don't care about providing service.

They use cars.com price listed $1000 less then actual price...read fine print. They also advertise used cars preowned certified....you go and it is " as is " sale. When you bring the ad with you they either tell you it is just generic ad they use or blame cars.com! Very deceptive! We did buy a car from them we felt it was a solid car after taking it to another dealer to check it out. Hope to get a year or two out of it. Will not deal with them again though feel we can not believe a word they type or say!

My experience here was great and could not have been better. They got me into a new car when I never thought it possible. The service was very friendly and I felt like I was very important to them. I will go here again when it is time to replace my husband's car. These guys are wonderful!!

Felt like I was inconviencing the employees by calling them both at the intial greeting at the front desk and after being forwarded to parts. I like to use the dealerships for my parts, but I guess I can wait a few days for them to be shipped to me. Sorry guys.

My wife wanted a specific model with specific exterior and interior colors. Some dealers told us it wasn't available, other dealers told us it couldn't be bought in 'our' region. Most dealers just didn't want to work that hard for a sale. Spoke to Colonial after expanding our search to surrounding states. Colonial was the first dealer to talk serious numbers via internet...they didn't have 'the' vehicle but said they would get it. 2 other dealers claimed to have the vehicle but both failed to get vehicle to their lot. A week later I went back to Colonial and they had 'the' vehicle on their lot 48 hours later...and they stuck to the deal we had negotiated...no BS. My wife is happy, so I am happy.

The car: Elantra limited fully loaded 2012 with tech package. They gave me the best price on my car among 6 dealerships in berks, chester, and montegomry counties . I didn't buy it from them coz I kept their offer on hold and I went to another dealer until the car was sold, when would the next car would come in,? the sales man, chris, said a day or two, he was true!!They kept following up with me and after I bought the car by one day after getting tired and losing my gamble, they called me to tell that the car was available. What a loss!!as I an ex-salesman myself, I really wanted their crew to earn my bussiness!!!...they did a lot to please me. From the presentation to the finacing to the price of the car.Maybe in a couple of yrs I will get back to them for another thing. Thanks to Mike Luttman, you are a very professional sales manager. Not pushy not sneaky.

My husband and i purcased the equus in Feb. 2011. We did not choose to write a review until we had an opportunity to see how the service would be when we needed it and how well the car performed. Well it is almost a year later and we are happy with all that we bargained for. We have owned a mercedes in the past and continue to own a lexus along with our equuus. We must say that our equus performs as well as both cars. This is a car we will drive for years to come. The attention our car gets is unbievable. We love everything about it. The performace, the safety features, the smooth and quiet ride, the space inside. We see the evy in everyones eyes when they look at this car. We couln't be more proud of the choice we made. We wondered if we would have 2nd thoughts after we drove off the lot, but each day we own this car we love it more and more. Its beautiful, its loaded with amazing features that would have costed us a fortune in any other flagship. Our friends are amazed by this car. One of them purchased a hundai after looking at our car. Several friends wanted to ride in this amazing car to see if it were all that it was advertised to be. They were as fascinated with the equus as we were. When the car was ready for its 1000 mile check up, they delivered a genesis to our home for our use while the equus was in for its check up. Our car was picked up and returned as promised and we got to drive a 2012 genesis while it was being service. I have read other reviews about salesmen not giving good service. We are happy to say that this was by far not the experience we had. Salesmen come and go but hundai is a great car and is what people should look at, not the people who sell the product. If you can get pass them you are guaranteed to own a great vehicle.

I absolutely LOVED my sales guy, Ben. He was the best!!! I really appreciate how detailed he was about the car I bought and it made me feel better knowing he cared that I was comfortable navigating the features in the car and the purchase itself.HOWEVER, although everyone I encountered was nice, I felt this air of arrogance in the dealership, with the "best selling Hyundai dealer in all of PA." I think if didn't go in there with the Costo auto pricing discount, that I wouldn't have chosen this dealership. I didn't care for the $70 charge for nitrogen in the tires when I live an hour away and wouldn't drive all the way there just to get a fill up. It's a mixed bag for me. Ben was awesome but I think I wouldn't have gotten a good deal without the Costco pricing. Plus power seats? Only the driver side had power. As far as recommending this place? For Costo pricing yes, but just coming off the street? No because I think there would be a hard time getting a good price. On the bright side, I do very much love my new Sonata!!

But this one was obnoxious. They made us feel like we couldn't leave. We kept saying we couldn't afford the price & the salesman would "see what he could do." They all seemed like stuck up jerks & kept showing us cars we didn't want to see. We finally got down to a price that we were ok with & then got back to the finance guy who added on an extra $100/ month because of "things that had to be done." When we left we realized that they gave us a 7 year lease. Not the 5 year we were told.

After reading some of these negative things on here, I thought it would be fair to Colonial that my husband and I couldn't be happier with the way we were treated by our salesman Jon Miller. He showed us the vehicle we were interested in and really gave a great presentation. Then my husband drove off for the test drive. After he drove it on the highway and we took the off ramp, Jon told him to pull into a little strip mall and offered to switch drivers to allow me to drive the vehicle. We had been shopping for a few weeks and been on several test drives, the salesperson at the other places offered me a chance to drive the vehicle. I really thought Jon had our best interest allowing me to drive the vehicle also. The negotiations were going back in forth but Jon never got upset and was fighting for us, then Mike Lutman came over and offered us the Maintenace Packages at a reduced price where me and my husband were very happy. Jon called the insurance company and had everything changed over and the car was detailed and filled with gas. When we got out of finance Jon went over the vehicle and synced both of our phones. What a great experience!!!!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER AND DID NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. Using a special pricing certificate from USAA, Colonial was one of 3 dealers that provided quotes (Pacifico, Colonial & Porter) for a Sonata 2.0T & Limited 2.0T. While Pacifico had the lowest price, Colonial was closer to me so I went to them first. (Didnt go to Porter, the closest dealer to me, as their price was way out of line. Colonial played games, told me my special pricing (and matching Pacificos lowest price quote) was not possible, limited my choice to in-stock vehicles, wouldn't honor my $500 Military Rebate, tried to up-sell (a maintenance package) to offset my special pricing and used hard-sell used car-like sales tactics with an unfriendly attitude ("why can't you give us a (down payment) check today; what are you waiting for"...etc.). I told them up front that they had to match Pacificos price to get my business. I even told them that I would prefer to buy from THEM since they are 20 miles away and Pacifico is about 45 (miles away) AS LONG AS they matched Pacificos price and located a car in my choice of color. After all, the Car Czar at Colonial says he will give up to 30% off a new car (see the TV ads now online): THAT discount would have easily matched Pacifico's price...and then some!! (of course its nonsense since they wont really do it) When they failed to work with me on my terms I walked away and went to Pacifico. Then, ironically the salesman continued to pursue me with calls, texts and even letters from his SM AND GSM telling me that they would do "anything" to get my business ("just tell us what we need to do"...). I told them plainly at that point (since they were annoying me) that if they had not played games from the outset that they (and not Pacifico) would get my business--simple as that. They had one chance and they blew it. Frankly, the Colonial staff acted more like used car salesman instead of professionals: they insulted my intelligence and discounted my age, background, experience and consumer research. This is exactly the opposite of the absolutely wonderful experience I had at Pacifico Hyundai in Philadelphia. Pacifico honored my special pricing (the lowest price of the 3 dealers in the pricing certificate) without question and worked diligently to locate my preferred car in the color I wanted even though it wasnt in stock (a hard-to-find Sonata Limited 2.0T)all things Colonial refused to do. Pacifico didnt play any silly sales games and were straight up, easy to work with, not pushy at all and met all my expectations! Overall the experience was terrific and it was well worth it to wait a bit to get exactly what I wanted!--I love my Limited Turbo Sonata from Pacifico!!

I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership in the past 4 years. I have always been satisfied with the sales department; great prices and quick with the sales work. They are obligated to do the whole sales thing, just bear with it. I have previously rated this dealership extremely poorly on service. I have changed my mind with the new service advisors they have now, I have had my first major problem with a Hyundai car (not bad after 5 cars...). Abby and Marty (service manager) was absolutely wonderful to work with. I will continue to purchase from this dealership and do service with this dealership because of them. They gave me a great loaner (when they were out of loaners they rented me a vehicle) while they fixed the problem with my vehicle. The first attempt at fixing it didn't work but they gave me a loaner for the second time also and kept it an extra week just to make absolutely sure that it's fixed. I also received several phone calls to keep me updated while the work was done and afterwards to ensure that I was satisfied. These were direct calls from the service advisor, not a third party agency getting feedback. As I said before, I previously had extremely bad experience with service at this dealership, they have completely changed and their service group is now excellent. I had been using a different dealership for service for all my Hyundais (I still own 4 out of the 5) but now I will use Colonial again even though they are not the closest to me. Additionally, their sales is excellent as well. I completely recommend all of my friends and family to go to this dealership now for BOTH sales and service.

Problems from start to finish. Love my car, hate the dealership. They said they would give a certain amount for my trade in and then paid it off for 300 less than agreed apon. I called them out on it and they said it was my banks fault. After a month of back and forth I finally received a check, for half the amount. I then had to call 4 more times to finally receive a check. And registration took almost 90 days as well. Would not negotiate price as well, good old bait and switch with financing. John Ashdale should fold up his circus and leave town bc I will never go back and I would never recommend them to anyone. Love hyundai, gate this dealership. For all of the issues I had, they still emailed and called to make sure they got all 10s on their survey. No way. Avoid this dealership as they are your stereotypical car salesmen.

I would never purchase a car from this dealership. I seen an advertisement for 40% off all new cars. Its hard to believe I know...I even spoke to someone about the sale. Well let just say they lied. I went up to the dealership which took me 2 hours to get to. First the sales rep tried to say that it was up to 40% off. Then he tried to put me into a car what was no what I wanted and was at full retail price. When they were trying to sell me an accent the car that I wanted were delivered. I asked about the car and the sales rep told me that they were being inspected and sent to Atlantic City. Which was so incorrect. I really don't think that they can inspect Jersey cars and send them over. If I am wrong...well I am wrong. I left feeling very unwelcome and the auto dealership representative was very cocky and arrogant. I receive a comment letter from them today and one last week. I contacted the sales rep and he had the nerve to tell me that he did not remember sending me a comment letter because I did not purchase the accent. I said that I was very disappointed with the service that I received and he asked if I wanted to be transferred to a manager. Well...I wasn't tranferred I was hung up on.

I would not recommend this dealer for several reasons:1. The actual price of the car itself was NEVER negotiated. They would not drop the price whatsoever for me. The only prices negotiated were additional amenities on the car (i.e. mudguards, heated mirrors, trunk mat, floormats, first aid kit, cargo net, etc). Ok- So not the biggest deal but an unfortunate one in itself. I tried several times to bring the attention back to the price of the vehicle too..2. They first told me they could not remove any of those amenities because they come stock from the manufacturer and cannot be removed under any circumstances and they must be bought with the car at the additional costs. I realize the mudguards and heated mirrors cannot be removed, but once i kept pushing back about the price and told them i could put another $1,000 down they then decided they could remove them for me so i don't have to pay for them... REALLY? I felt coerced into having to buy them and that i did not have an option at first.3. I then told them i am not paying for heated mirrors or mudguards and don't want them and after a while of talking and sending him back to his manager 5-6 times (seriously) i told him i would put $5,500 down total and would wait a week or so for a car to be delivered from the manufacturer WITHOUT additional features. The salesman came back and said he would give me the car that I drove that day with everything in it for the price i wanted and ALL of the amenities (i.e. mudguards, heated mirrors, trunk mat, floormats, first aid kit, cargo net, etc) as long as i put the $5,500 down.4. So i was happy at that point. Then they gave me the finance numbers... HAH! This is where it gets good. So he gave me a monthly payment for 66 months with the $5,500 down. Well smart me - i did loan amortizations before i got there for different APR's with $5,500 down for 5 years (aka 60 months). His number was WAY HIGH and more than it should have been. I sent him back to his manager and came back and said the computers have been a little screwy that day. He came back close to my number and then i noticed his number of months of payments was 66 and not 60. They were going to be benefitting an extra 6 months of payments from me that they shouldn't have (i presume an equivalent of $2,100 in extra profit for them)! I sent him back AGAIN and they got to my amortized number (the CORRECT number) for 60 months... how coincidental... FINALLY!5. So i sign all of the paperwork finally and drive off the lot. Well what do you know is missing from the car. The following items were removed: the floormats, the cargo net, the trunk mat, the first aid kit! 6. I went back a couple of days later to talk to the manager about it. He said they were negotiated out of the vehicle. Originally i told them i didn't want them, but then since i was putting $5,500 down they told me they would throw them in with the car (ALL of the amenities) and the car i drove today with EVERYTHING in it would be mine. In my opinion they went back on their word. I advised them that i would express my opinion and disappointment on here and he said he would call me to review it the next day. What do you know! He didn't call! So i called him - no answer... I called again and got a hold of him and he then told me if i fill out a survey about my salesman and give him a Perfect 10 on everything and hand walk the survey into them they would give me all of the amenities. Strange right??? I swallowed my pride and agreed to it. Jimmy said they would email it to me and i should print it out and walk it in. Days go by, no email. I called and left a message or two and emailed and NEVER received a call back. Finally got a hold of Jimmy and he said he never received my emails. i find that hard to believe because the Salesman Jaz emailed me back at one point and Jimmy was copied in on it. I double and triple checked the email addresses too. Well i bought my car in February 2011 and it is now June 29th, 2011 and i still am without those amenities because in my opinion they withheld them unjustifiably and then could not communicate with me to send me the Survey to fill out to obtain the items.7. Lastly, i signed up for an advantage package for service on the vehicle. Well throughout that whole process they said they would send me the details of it in the mail. It took me 2 months of trying to get a hold of Jimmy Lopez to be able to have the information on the advantage package sent to me. I finally received it.As you can see it was a very bad experience. I consider myself a smart person and i did lots of research about the car and pricing and such but at the end of the day i neglected to do research on the dealership itself. If i had read any of these reviews before i went in there you can be sure i would have bought from another dealer probably at a lower price too WITH the amenities. I called them out on a lot of things that seemed very fishy to me... I wonder how many other people are also being taken advantage of? If you take anything away from this post i advise customers to do your homework on the car AND PLEASE go into the dealership with loan amortizations done out for the amount of the loan you wish to use for financing. I did amortizations in Excel for 3 differnet loan amounts and 5 different APR's on each of them for a 5 year loan period. It's very simple and you can do it right in an Excel Template available for free. This will ensure you know what the correct monthly payment should be and so that they can't say the computers were screwy that day.I would not recommend this dealership - Bottom Line. I've even removed all the stickers on the outside of the car because i do not want people to know i bought it from there... Shame on the dealership and the way they conduct their customer service and business.

6/11/11- We purchased a new Sonata & were told the payment would be $270/mo. We just found out that our payment is actually $300/mo. They lied to us plain & simple. We were also told that our first payment would be due 45 days after we took possession of the car. This is also a lie as the payment is due within 30 days. When we asked about their "30% off" sale, we were told that it only included the Sonatas w/ manual transmissions. I'm assuming they had none of these on their lot. Our neighbor is very interested in buying an '11 Sonata, we told him NOT to go to Colonial Hyundai. Please don't waste your time here, you cannot trust them.

I made the biggest mistake in going to this dealer. They sell me a car I sign all finance documents drive the car 2 weeks then they call me and tell me that I need a co-signer in order to keep the car. I have a co-signer but based on the fact that they gave me possession of the car based on my credit and ability to pay for it on my own, I opted not to use a co-signer and gave the car back. I learned that I should have listened to my instincts and not bought there, based on the fact that a disgruntled customer came in that day yelling and screaming about their shady business practices. I took my money to another dealer and have secure financing paid less for a better car. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone not even my worse enemy. Go anywhere but there!

The 2009 Hyundai Sonata I purchased on 5/20 was listed online as $12,990 (which included $1000 down payment so the true price was $13,990) I even brought in the print out. When I came in all went well until we started discussing the price. The sales person was quoting me monthly figures that were higher than expected, but kept working to get them down to something manageable. In the end I put a down payment down of $2500 plus my $1200 received for trade-in. I got a copy of the temporary registration and the Purchase Price was listed as $15,790. When I questioned the finance department about this he explained that he showed the car listed as $14,990 and the additional costs were the gap insurance and the charges for it being certified. Now I am finding out that the Purchase Price was the amount that they are having me financed for and that they kept my $2500 down payment when it should have been applied against my purchase price. They are refusing to apply this amount of my down payment.

Best car buying experience. EVER! Everyone at the dealership was wonderful, from my first online contact with Nikki Dougherty to the happy moment when Nick Lusby handed off the key and everyone in between. I did a lot of research and decided that I wanted to purchase the 2011 Elantra GLS with the preferred equipment package. I then started my search for the car by asking for internet quotes from dealers. Nikki Dougherty contacted me immediately after I received the online quote from Colonial Hyundai. She emailed, and called, and then followed up with an email. She wasnt pushy, and I could tell she wanted to be helpful. I was only in the beginning stages so I spent some more time receiving quotes. After I contacted Nikki with my lowest quote, she approached the sales manager to ask if the deal would be possible. She was very honest and let me know they wouldnt be able to go that low and what their bottom price would be. Because she had been so great, I decided to visit the dealership. Im so glad I did! My sales consultant, Nick Lusby, was AWESOME. He showed me my options, and even helped me make a decision about color, which I hadnt thought much about before my visit. I know that sales consultants sometimes get a bum rap because of shady practices in the past. I never felt like Nick was being dishonest. I had lots a questions and he answered all of them. He even brought in the Sales Manager, Wayne Moore, to answer some of my questions. Nick was just wonderful!Based on all my research, I believe I received a fair price for the car and my trade. Sam Elters was even able to get me a lower interest rate than my bank. It was at the end of a long day, and Im sure he was tired, but he answered all my questions and I never felt rushed or misled. It was so great to see how excited everyone was about doing their job. The sales consultants were saying congratulations, to me and other customers. The people I dealt with seemed honest and genuine. I believe I got a great car from a great dealership. I even had to call Nick the next day about a small problem with the car and he called me back within two hours. This truly was the best car buying experience ever and I recommend Colonial Hyundai without reservation!

although i did not make a purchase (i just wasnt ready to downsize from a van to a car), i would highly recommend this dealership. my aunt made a purchase a few weeks earlier and in my search for a new vehicle, i test drove the sonata. INCREDIBLE vehicle. however, just not the right time for me and my kids. when the salesman was made aware that i wasnt ready to downsize, he was polite, wished me well and hoped that i will keep them in mind for future purchases. I can tell you this, i will recommend this dealership and will keep them in mind for when i am ready for a car! great sales experience and very fair price. i will go back!

From first arrival to final departure my husband and I had a FANTASTIC experince at Colonial Hyundia. Nicholas Lusby was there to usher us in and help us out immediately. He was extremely friendly, personable and fun to be around. He made the car buying experience amazing. Nicholas took the time to answer all questions and explain anything we didn't understand or know about. Michael Lutman helped us with negotiating a VERY reasonable new car price. He is full of energy! In financing Brian White helped us sort all the paper work out and get us on our way quickly. This guy is amazing! The process was a little on the long side due to an influx of people towards the end of the day. That was the only draw back! All staff are approachable and helpful. The car wash service is A-MAZ-ING!!! They have a popcorn machine in the sales building...so cool!! If your looking for a new car or want to trade one in - GO SEE NICHOLAS LUSBY!!!!!!

We bought a car and after a few problems we ended up with what we had asked for. We sent my neice to buy a used car for a certain price and they proceeded to rip her off. They charged her 21% interest for an 8 year old car. They also slipped in something called Gap ins and changed the price on the car from the original price agreed upon. They also charged her for the 6 month warranty they gave us for free. They saw a young girl; and figured they could take her to the cleaners. Don't go there unless you want to be ripped off!!!!!!

I cannot believe the some of the reviews on this site for Colonial Hyundai. They could not be further from he truth! I went into Colonial in a very bad situation. My lease on a VW is up in December and I was going to get crushed on fees for going over my mileage. I let my sales rep, RAY, know this and he told me not to worry. He was extremely knowledgeable on the car we looked at, the Elantra, and was very friendly. Beyond that, he treated me wonderfully, like I was the most important person the planet. I am a female buyer and I never once felt uncomfortable woking with Ray, or any type of bias because I was a girl buying a car. Once we had my car picked out the negotiation process was painless. His manage, JIMMY, understood I had a unique situation with my lease and personally helped me out with the pricing and explaining how trading my car and ending my lease would work. I was amazed how simple everything was working out. I ended up owing money with trading in m car, which was built into my car loan. I STILL got a phenomenal price on an amazing car. After agreeing upon the price and financing, another manager, WAYNE, personally found me the EXACT car I wanted by way of color interior, exterior, features, EVERYTHING as RAY filled out all my paperwork.I then headed back to finance department where SAM took great care of me. He made sure my name did not go on any paperwork until he explained every form to perfection, and even took extra care to make sure I knew all my financing and I would leave with no questions. He was absolutely great.Normally I am nervous buying a car and stressed out. At Colonial Hyundai I never felt pressured, stressed, or uncomfortable even once. RAY, WAYNE, SAM, and JIMMY are a great team and I would recommend them to friends, family, pets, and strangers. Don't let any previous negative reviews sway you. I mean, those reviewers clearly don't even know what a spell checker is! If you need a great car and a great price go to Colonial. You'll be treated fairly and will leave with no questions unanswered in a great car. Oh, and I DID look around. There is not a car out there right now BETTER than an ELANTRA!

Go back or call them for stuff they promised you.... forget it. They never get back at you. If they tell you they help with your payments, you won't see the money later on and then your stuck with the high payment you didn't want from the beginning.

Bill Frey was the salesman who helped me with purchasing my used hyundai 2011 accent gs. he was very helpful and friendly with me during the whole process. he got everything squared away in a timely manner. when we were waiting for the paper work to get done, he showed me and my mom some magic tricks and it was a lot of fun. i definetly recommend Bill Frey, he is looking out for your best interest and is looking to making you a good deal on a car you want to purchase. if you go to colonial hyundai in downingtown to purchase a vehicle get with Bill Frey, you wont regret it.

We had a fabulous experience with Colonial Hyundai. They really pulled out all the stops to get us in the right car for our budget and that we actually liked. We have had bad luck with other dealers in the past and this was the first time we really trusted the information we were given. In addition, the warranties that they are offer are fantastic. When we stopped in today just to look, we never thought we would ever be driving off the lot in a brand new car but we're happy to say that we did just that!

I've bought several cars in my life, but my most recent experience at Colonial was, by far, the best. Due to a recent lengthy illness and the bad economy, my credit had some dings, but I found myself in need of a new car. I first went to three other dealers who practically threw me out. They were all very rude and treated me like a second class person. Luckily I decided to stop by Colonial. From the moment I arrived I was treated with dignity and respect. They assured me they would do anything they could to help and they kept that promise. Ben was the most professional saleman I've ever met and answered all my questions. The rest of the managers; Mike, Jim, and Sam made sure I got a loan I could afford. I love my new Elantra and am on my way to repairing my credit. I will recommend Colonial to all my family, friends and anyone who asks. They now have a customer for life.

Being a recent college grad, this was my first car buying experience and i must say it was a great one. I was at first a lil skeptical about buying a car because of all the things i read that dealerships try to do well this dealership was not one of them. They made me feel very at ease and i know i had received a great deal plus Jim took the time to focus on my needs and helped me find the right car even though it was very busy, now i know why it was soo busy this dealership was fantastic and the atmosphere was very warming. I will definitely be sending all of my family to Colonial Hyundai my mother is actually in the market for a car and i know she will be buying it from Colonial. Thanks again for all of your patience Jim and Mike i know it was not easy dealing with my 50,000 question but know it hasnt gone unseen and also that you have one more customer for life. Thanks again and know your organization is truly a special one. For those who are wanting to buy a vehicle before you go buying it you must give Colonial a chance they will go that extra mile.

Amazing attention to my needs!!! I feel like these Gentleman are getting the short end of the stick with these negative reviews on here. They have Nooooo control over a banks decision to provide a loan! I Have marginal credit and they provided me with amazing service. I was pretty much thrown out of Carosel Hyundai because of my credit. When I arrived at colonial Hyundai I was expecting the same treatment. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a completely different experience! Guys keep up the great work!!!

Had been shopping for a new Genises Sedan for several months been to 4 dealers most didn't have many to see. Colonial had the largest selection & my salesman Dale spent plenty of time going over the car. After a short negotiation with Dale & Mike they got me a great price. There finance manager explained everything I was signing so anyone could understand it easily. I think his name was Sam. If your looking for a Hyundai call Dale at Colonial Hyundai I'm sure they'll take good care of you!Tony

I found Colonial Hyundai on the Web after searching for places that could help me out since I have fair credit. I was excited to get an email back telling me I was approved and I picked the car I was interested in, a black used Tiberon that was $7000. I checked comparison pricing on KBB and thought it was going to be a great deal and in a comfortable price range for me. Well, of course, when I drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there, there was no Tiberon, even though they told me it was still for sale. It apparently had mechanical issues and was in the shop. I asked to at least see it, was told it was unavailable to be seen, they weren't sure if the mechanic had it out for test drive or what..So, instead of letting me look around in the parking lot for what I would like, I get taken to vehicles that were "within my monthly payment". Never once ever told the bottom line $ amount of the actual price of the vehicles. Of course first I get taken to drive a crappy little accent, no room for my growing teenagers, crappy riding vehicle. But if I want to get a more comfortable ride... we have this 2008 Elantra. It was beautiful. It rode nice, had everything I needed. But this was going to be $50 more than most I wanted to pay for monthly payment. There were cars all over that lot, why was I only given 2 options? I fell in love with the vehicle and sat there thinking in my head what I can give up a month to make this happen. I went there with $2000 in my hand and handed it over. Everything was typed up and signed. What an idiot I am. I thought the $15000 on my agreement was the price of the vehicle, a bit salty for a used Elantra but I gave in. Come to the realization after I left that that was my loan, and I actually paid $2000 on top of that!!! I paid at least $4000-5000 over what this car is worth when all was said and done. Way to help people with less than stellar credit there Colonial. Now I'll never be able to get rid of this car and not have to pay every penny you raped me for! Also, I just took my car into local dealer to have service today, I asked them if it could be the fuel pump because there was a recall and it wasn't on my carfax so I figured it was never done..I guess Colonial forgot to staple that page to the carfax report they gave me because a new fuel pump was put in 1 year before I bought the car. Do you think MAYBE I didn't want a car with 21000 miles on it that had a faulty fuel pump and since had to be replaced? That would be MY DECISION TO MAKE NOT THEIRS!!! These people are shysters, plain and simple. I am removing my Colonial Hyundai license plate and decals from my car. I will not advertise for them so some poor old sap or single woman such as myself shows up there and gets a good reaming as I did. I came out of the finance office with my head spinning, I got their service contract drilled into me and ended up paying $9 more a month for something I will never use. I said no the first time, I live an hour and a half away, why the Hell would I take my car that far for a handful of oil changes??? Crooks crooks crooks. I swear they leave the AC off in that place to make it like a torture chamber so you can't even think straight. Wish I could sue them for being dirty rotten scoundrels, but it's just a lesson learned. If it sounds too good to be true...IT IS!!!

Went to purchase a new car and the salesman I was paired with had no idea how to handle a new car purchase. He was used to dealing with customers that had poor credit and I have great credit. I was very unhappy with his bottom line price and what he was able to offer but I loved the car and there were no others in the area. I was able to get a much better interest rate from my credit union than they offered and will definately think twice before I purchase another car from them.

I was lured on a false pretense loan. They told me I was approve for a loan. However, didn't tell me the most important fact. I needed $2500-3500 to put down because of bad credit. I'm going to take that kind of money and go on Craiglist. Drove all the way from Delaware. Didn't meet Nikki who I spoke to. If you have bad credit like I do. Don't go to Colonial Hyundai.

***If anyone is afraid of working with this dealer because of some OLDER negative comments; I would suggest you give them a chance. See my experience below:I would highly recommend this dealer! I was coming off of a (Subaru)lease and was searching for a vehicle that would get much better gas mileage. I fell in love with the styling of the 2011 Hyundai Sonata and shopped around on line with a total of (4) dealers. Jennifer got back to me right away with a price for the vehicle that I wanted. After visiting some dealers that were closer to me, I continued the balance of my search online. I was contacted by Brian Mason just before the Labor Day holiday and he answered all of my questions (and there were a lot of them) and emailed me back responses and pricing as requested. When he called me, Brian was polite, courteous, understanding and above all, knowledgeable. Brian also got me a very good price compared to the other (3) dealers which I imagine was not easy since the 2011 Sonata is a very popular vehicle. He never pressured me to add options or to upgrade to another level of trim. When we got it all worked out including the financing; I drove out to Colonial to sign and drive. There was my car, ready to go, with balloons on it and a "Congratulations" sign...it may sound hokey, but you can tell they care. Brian turned me over to a salesperson, Chris Fugarelli, who could not have been more pleasant, helpful and again, KNOWLEDGEABLE. Chris is not the stereotypical car salesman...I will let him tell you his story, but you can tell he has a passion for what he is doing and I was very appreciative of his efforts.Brian Smith handled all of the paperwork for the transaction and is another example of what a typical Auto Finance Person is not. He was the consummate professional even after I asked him to look at the financing up,down, left, right and sideways. He never lost his cool, and in the end...I was happy with the transaction.Chris helped me get my end-of-lease vehicle over to the Subaru dealer and when we got back, he programmed the satellite radio for me and best of all: HE PROGRAMMED THE BLUETOOTH to synch with my phone!!! I travel a lot to New York State where hands-free is the law, so this was a big bonus for me. When I called him the next day, I found out that he had also taken care of the insurance transfer with my broker, knowing that I was leaving the next day for a trip upstate to New York! I have not dealt with the negotiating side of a dealer for more than 12 years since a friend of mine worked for an auto manufacturer and I was able to be a part of a friends incentive program. After all of the other Hyundai dealers that I spoke to, COLONIAL HYUNDAI was by far, the BEST. As a consumer, it is incumbent upon all of us to do our "homework". I was amazed at how easy and convenient it was to do most of this via this dealer's Internet Sales Department. Brian M., Chris F. and Brian S. made my experience at Colonial, one that exceeded all of my expectations. Give them a chance....

I agree with the other negative reviews of which there are many. I spent half a Saturday trying to negotiate a price on a vehicle and they still would not come down from MSRP. I was tired and hungry at this point and I should have walked but I reluctantly gave them a deposit. Well, sure enough I was able to get the same vehicle from another dealer for $3,000 less without any negotiation! So, on the morning of the third day I faxed and e-mailed Colonial requesting my deposit back. They refused saying it would be forfeited. Now I don't recall signing a contract and I certainly did not get a copy if I did. But PA law allows any contract to be cancelled up to 72 hours after signature. They won't get rid of me that easily - I told them that I will be contacting the Hyundai regional manager and if he/she cannot rectify the situation, I will be taking the dealership to small claims court.Fortunately, the General Sales Manager, Jim Lopez, read this posting. Although we did not see eye to eye on what occurred, he did refund my money.

I came in for a used car advertised for $11990. Before driving 20 miles I called to see if the add was correct, I was told that they weren't sure but I should come anyway. AFTER 3 HOURS I was told that the price advertised was +5990, This was not in the add, there was no indication of a addition and the add was at best bate and switch and at worst fraudulent. DON;T WASTE YOUR TIME, this is just my opinion

Jas was the perfect no-pressure, knowledgeable sales resource anybody who is even slightly interested in a Hyundai would want. He let me ask all the questions, took his time and in the end I drove out of Colonial Hyundai with a brand new Elantra Touring, the best damn car I've ever driven or owned. It handles solidly all the time, packs and loads my gear with ease and comfort and gives me a sense of security only confirmed by the continuing service availability of the people at Colonial. All of them are a great team, and you can sense their willingness to support this great product with pride and enthusiasm. Give Jas a call if you're even just considerng a vehicle change.

Colonial offered professional advice on replacing my car which has been totally destroyed in an accident. Jim Krause worked with me to match my current monthly car payments and get me into my new Hyundai Elantra as quickly. He even drove to the rental agency to retrieve my license plate which I had left in the rental car. Sam Elters worked to give me the best service package while actually reducing my monthly car payment by extending the term of the loan. This is the second car I have purchased from Colonial and I certainly will recommend that anyone come here to find a car.

My experience with Colonial started when I called to find out information on a 2007 Volvo they had for sale. I spoke with Mike and told him I will be there at a certain time and he assured me he would still be there and that he would work with me on the price. When I arrived I was told he had already left for the day. OK. So I saw Vinny who took me to test drive the car, which I had already test drove at other dealers (same year and model), and spoke to him about the price. I live an hour away and drove there with the belief that they would get me out the door at a certain price, which I had already discussed with Mike. Well of course Vinny quoted a higher price, which was still a good price, so I reluctantly just accepted it. However, in order to accept the offer, I was promised a 3.99% interest rate and found out in signing that it was actually 4.23%, which was a small difference, but additional cost none-the-less. While test driving I was using the valet key. At the time, I specifically asked if the car came with the key fob and was told yes. They ultimately agreed to deliver the car to my house and when they delivered, the detail job they promised was half done, it came with the valet key and a key fob that did not even belong to the car, and a check tire pressure like still on that was promised to be taken care of. I was told they would split the charge of the $400 key and that the registration would be taken care of and that the check tire pressure light was not on when he was driving it to my house. In regards to the light there is no way possible it was not on when he drove it because I could not clear it out at all and it was on every second the car was running. Conclusively, I ended buying the $400 key, I had to register the car on my own, and I took care of the check tire pressure light at wawa in 2 minutes. All of this on top of the higher price and % than I was promised and being rudely handled by every one of the managers I spoke withMike and Jim.

From the time I walked into Colonial Hyundai until I left after purchasing a 2011 Sonata I had a great experience. Jim Krause, my salesman, explained the differences between the 2010 and 2011 Sonata and was able to put me in my car of choice in the price range needed.Jim gave me a tour of the dealership including the service department and I was impressed. During the paper work stage, I met with Scot who was professional and explained each piece of paper that I was signing.Jim went over the quick reference guide with me so I was familiar with the car before I left the dealer ship. Jim hooked up my bluetooth for me and made my first service appointment.A very pleasurable experience and I would recommend Colonial Hyundai to my family and friends.

I just purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS from Colonial and the experience here has changed my entire perception of dealerships. After extensive research on the internet, I selected Colonial based on excellent commentary, reviews and a vast selection of in-stock inventory.Prior to my arrival, I informed the dealership I was driving nearly 100 miles from New Jersey with strong intent to purchase a vehicle. Upon our arrival, we were plesantly greeted at the door as it was being opened for us. Chris Burke, our saleman, walked right up to us with a warm, friendly smile and a firm handshake. Everyone was courteous and extremely careful not to insult us, even during negotiations when the atmosphere became a little tense. We negotiated a fair price for a vehicle in such great demand. After finalizing the purchase price we were escorted into financing where we met Sam. Sam is soooo professional! He remained impressively cool, calm and collected even when I became a little less than courteous and questioned every document he presented before me. Thank you Sam!I had a wonderful buying experience in a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Chris served fresh popcorn to my little daughter and even provided a play area to keep her happy and entertained.I commend Chris Burke, who went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction and even had my daughter's car seat ready to go in the new vehicle. I thank the entire sales team on providing outstanding customer service that exceeded my expectations. I will recommend Colonial first and foremost to my vast circle of family and friends. THANK YOU FOR PROVING YOU CAN HAVE AN ENJOYABLE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE!!! CHRIS BURKE......YOU ROCK!Mrs. Rashada

From nearly the second I expressed interest in a car from Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown through the Costco auto program, I received excellent customer service through what turned out to be a several-week process: Jenn Savastio from the online department contacted me through e-mail and by phone, answered any and all questions I had (and there were a lot), and followed up with me several times. Jim Krause, the salesman, was extremely friendly and had great attention to detail, making sure that I knew the car's features A-Z and what my options were as far as packages and financing were concerned; I wasn't a hard sell, but even if I had been, Jim's manner would not have been overly aggressive at all. Sam Elters was very knowledgeable and patient when discussing financing and warranties, and he found a rebate for me that I otherwise would not have been aware of. So far, I am very happy that I chose a car from this dealership and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

Went in to price out a new Genesis Coupe with strong intentions to buy. Was treated courteously by Ben, the salesman. He was a pleasure to work with. When we went inside to discuss numbers, it was difficult to get an actual sales price for the car. They wanted to talk monthly payments and would not disclose the final sales price for the car until the 3rd time we asked. Initially, we were told they could give us a great deal on purchasing an in-stock new car as they were running an "up to 30% discount" sale (We went in undecided on whether to lease or buy the car). We were then introduced to Jim to further discuss the price. When we attempted to negotiate the price below MSRP, he acted offended and stormed away, complaining to his co-workers that he couldn't "give away" the car to us. We have never been treated so rudely by a car dealership. This dealership uses fuzzy math and treats it's customers as if they are doing them a favor by selling them a car over MSRP. The general manager of the dealership did stop us on the way out to apologize for how his employee had acted, but at that point, the damage was done. We're going to another dealership and have no intentions of returning to Colonial again.

Jim was a great guy to work with, didn't pressure me into buying the car and was not trying to sell me something I didn't need. I have been to other dealers that will try to move a car and make a deal on a car that is in their best interest. IE. specials on colors, left over models etc. Jim was very easy going and is well knowledged in the cars he is selling. He had answers to almost every question and if he didnt have the answer he made sure to get it for me. Buying cars can be painfull but this time it was actually fun GO SEE JIM KRAUSE

I had leased a 2007 Santa Fe at Colonial Hyundai and the lease was ending. My wife and I really liked the Santa Fe. When I walked into Colonial I met Dave, Chris and Jim and thought they worked very hard to understand what I was looking for and what my budget was for the vehicle.I could have purchased my leased vehicle and these guys were great in explaining my options and payments. I found a 2010 Santa Fe I liked and decided to purchase it this time. I like the Hyundai product and the reviews are very encouraging. I liked it so much I decided to buy two vehicles at this dealership. I also purchased a 2011 Sonata.

From the time we pulled into the lot Chris was right there to greet us. He asked us what kind of car we were interested in what features we wanted even what color. He was very helpful in showing us what was available and what features the car had. We took a test drive and I was sold. I liked the way it handled and the vesibility that it had. Chris worked with us in every way possible. We had been to another dealer over the weekend but yours is the best. When it was time to tald finance Sam was just as helpful. he answered out questions and explained everything. We would highly recommend Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown to our family and friends. It was the easiest experience we have ever had buying a car.

I arrived for an oil change and ended up with a new car instead. Why? Well, it was a prudent decision. Realizing my car was 5 model years old, I was close to the end of my bumper to bumper 60K warranty and my lifestyle just didn't support a 4 door car I asked Jim Lopez, sales manager and friend, what he had in a used SUV type vehicle. Jim Krause took me out for a drive. I sorta liked it, asked a bunch of questions about the warranty, etc. Jim Lopez came to the office and said, "I want you to keep an open mind. I have a better deal for you then the used SUV." You have to understand that this is my 3rd vehichle from Colonial and Jim Lopez is a very funny guy. He gets really animated as he starts through the discussion. He knows I don't like 4-cylinder vehicles. First thing out of his mouth is, "It's a 4 banger so we'll get that out of the way." I smile. He sweats. I'm hearing keep an open mind echoing in my head. He describes it as the best compromise for me and why. "Take it out for a drive." How many times have we heard that line. I said, "What color?" He said, "Black or black." I hate black.... So, Jim Krause gets the car, I drive it, take it over bumpy local roads, take it onto the freeway and I'm thinking no guts, no glory. I hit the gas pedal and darned if I'm not surprised that the little 4-banger had improved since I last drove one. Hmmm. This car has more leg room than my Sonata and the seat sits more like a chair which is great for anyone with joint replacements. This car might be the one.We arrive back at the dealership and check out the cargo capacity. When I folded down the passenger seats there was around 6 ft. Impressive. Plenty of room for the little dog and myself. I can hit the yard sales again. Then the negotiating begins. Actually, I saw this as a win-win. I upgraded the warranty to 100k bumper to bumper and I spent $20. more out of pocket for a car that met my needs. Which one? The Elantra Touring. Oh, and I'm an old broad. I'll be the "new 42" this year and I'm worth it. For those of you who don't know the "new 42", add 20 years to the number! Just a crazy red headed baby boomer still riding down the highway, looking for adventure.

It was a very good experience. I was treated with respect and honesty. All sales people were very helpful and friendly. The car I was interested in was available and ready to drive immediately. Jim explained the options and understood what was important to me. The paperwork transaction was smooth and quick. Jim was extremely service oriented. Overall, a great experience.

I stopped by the dealer ship on a busy Saturday afternoon, and was politely approached in the lot by my salesperson Walt. I told him I was initially just shopping around and wasn't interested in buying a car right away. He asked me if I were looking for anything in particular and would point me in the right direction and answer any questions if I had any.Well, one thing led to another and by asking the right questions and listening sincerely to me, he recommended the new Genesis 4.6 since I used to own BMW's and was looking for performance and comfort I thought not possible with the Hyundai brand.Boy, was I surprised! That car is the BOMB! The price was even less than I expected to pay for such a luxury car and the finance process could not have been smoother.Jimmy and Mike made sure I was comfortable through the whole process, and I even got lifetime hand car washes! The dealership has followed up for service appointments, and even the head of the dept., Marty, called to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I am quite happy overall with my experience there, and feel that Walt and the rest of the staff truly had my needs in mind.

I was able to start with them on a e-mail price. They responded right away with a call verifying the exact car I wanted. With-in 15 minutes they responded with a low quote. Then when I called them back in talking to them they indicated that there was another rebate that I didn't know about the college graduate worth an additional $400.00. So I received a great price plus another rebate that made it an even greater price. Once I told them I was excepting the deal and made a small down payment over the phone. They found the exact car I wanted and had to on the lot to pickup the next day. I was only at the dealer for about an hour. I hate shopping for a car but this was honestly the easiest transact I have ever had. Absolutely no high pressure sales or trying to sell me something additional I real did not want. Plus they gave me two free years of maintenance.Great people all around.John Bauer

I was looking for a VeraCruz that had all the features that my Cadillacs had, since the dealership is less then 5 miles from my house I visited Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown and met Jim Krause. He was very friendly and out going, we talked about what I was looking for, and he showed me exactly what I was looking for. He took me on a tour of the dealership including the service department. after the test drive I was sold. I traded in both my Cadillacs for my Vera Cruz. The deal was right on the mark, the warrenty is Stellar in the Car Bussiness. I was impressed enough to go back three weeks later and buy my son a sonata from Jim. Again the whole Sales team work to make the experience a great one. I would recommend this dealer and Jim to anyone of my friends that is looking ffor a new car.

First let me start off saying that i absolutely dread going car shopping. Well after the experience that i have had with Jim Krause and his fellow co-workers i no longer have that impression. I was treated more like a friend at Colonial Hyundai rather than a dollar sign which i was used to from other dealerships. Jim was very courteous and very thorough in explaining the vehicle and helped me out thru the whole sales process from the time i came on the lot til days after i bought my new Sonata. He since has sent me thank you cards which were actually cards not some generic computer printed one which i received from the last dealership i bought a car from. He also sets up all of my service appointments, which allows me to spend my time with my family and more improtant things. I cant express how much gratitude i have for the experience i have had with Jim Krause and the rest of the staff at Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown. I will def be sending all of my family and friends to Jim and Colonial Hyundai. Once again thank you for the great service and experience. Sandy and Jim

Jim Krause was an excellent sales person. He was more excited for my new purchase than I was. He did a superb job of working with me on my buy and staying within my price range. Additionally, for the price I am paying my amenities are even better! I plan on taking a friend to Jim Krause within the next month. I feel like he has the ability to come through for individuals that are having a difficult time closing a deal on a new car.

Worst experience I have ever had! They totaly took advantage of me being a single women. The sales process was horrible. The sales guy was completely hung over and smelled like booze. I kept wanting to leave and they wouldn't give me my keys back. Finally wore me down after 4 hours being there. Had the car a little over a month and the car broke down 2x in one week and they want me to pay for it. The sales manager was so mean to me on the phone and I had to my father call him. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy!!

My vehicle for the past 7 years has been a Nissan Altima. I have greatly enjoyed this vehicle, and have never had a problem. That is until my son became a licensed driver, and with his busy social schedule, I began to feel like a trapped villager. Hence, time for a new car purchase! Since I enjoyed the Nissan, I decided to see what was available in a crossover type SUV. I like the look and the price of the Nissan Rogue, and after some research, I entered the MVP Nissan Dealership in Exton, PA. WOW - What a horror story!! The salesman was great, however, he was extremely limited on what his duties were (per dealership rules). I entered the dealership on a Thursday, and let the salesman know I would be purchasing a vehicle by the end of the following week. All was fine until he had to go to his boss for a number, then his boss came out, talked with me and said he had to go to his boss. I asked "How many bosses are there here?" The charade began to play out, and after 4 1/2 hours at the dealership,I was told they could not find a Rogue in Grey and that I should buy an Altima today. They did not even pick up a phone and try to find one. I was just told - no. So I left feeling like I had just wasted 1/2 a day with no results! After a little more on line research, and a friend giving great reviewson her Hyundai Sante Fe, I decided to check one out.So now, one week later on a Thursday evening I enter Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown, PA. I was immediately greeted with a smiling Jim Kraus. I made no mention of my Nissan experience, or my time frame of purchase. Jim listened to what I wanted, and what was important to me, and within several minutes I was test driving a Sante Fe. Jim did not know it at the time, but I was sold after the test drive. But, now, the dreaded lets make a deal - I was prepared for the worst!!! Let the games begin I thought. On the contrary, I was wowed at what took place: I was actually offered the best possible deal the first time, and in quick fashion. I thanked Jim, and told him I needed time to talk things over with my husband, and we would be back in touch on Saturday. We were and we made the purchase!! I love my new Sante Fe!!!! And if I may mention, although the dealership was packed, and I mean packed with customers, we felt as though we were treated like we were the only ones there. It was a pleasure to deal with a salesperson who was not only courteous and personable, but knowledgable as well. Thanks JimI would certainly recommend Colonial Hyundai, and would highly recommend Jim Kraus to any friends or family in future. Don't loose this guy - what an asset! Thanks again.Sincerely,Diane DiFronzo

Went in for a test drive on a 2008 Toyota Rav4 on Saturday April 17. I'd been eyeing it for a while on their website, I really liked it from what I saw on the internet and was prepared to make a purchase and had secured financing through my credit union. When we got to the dealership we were promptly met by the salesman who quickly got us in and brought the vehicle out for us (me and my husband) to look at and test drive. the Vehicle was in less than stellar condition, there was also damage to the rear bumper that is not disclosed on the website. The salesman told me and my husband the reason why the veh was so dirty was due to the amount of tests drives it had gotten. After test driving the vehicle, I still liked it even in the condition it was and the damage on the rear bumper but wanted to think about it. I expressed to the salesman on NUMEROUS occasions I would like to think about it, he kept saying ok there is "No Pressure" but if I get it down to this and this and this price will you committ to buying it???? again I reiterated I wanted to think about it. He then said he will write something up and I can leave a $100 deposit, he GUARANTEED our deposit would be refunded and we had 72 hours to think about it. Trusting the guarantee of a refund, I went ahead and had him swipe my credit card for the $100 deposit, he then sent us to see his "Finance Manager" who did up the pink slip, when we looked at the slip it had more money than what was quoted by the salesman, they charge you for the air in the tires?? How do I confirm that the nitrogen air is in the tires and not regular air? As soon as we got into the Finance managers office he gave us the once over and asked if I did'nt want their financing, I told him NO since I had my own and I'm still deciding wheter I wanted the car or not, I also told him I was not comfortable signing any sales agreement, he instantly got defensive (down right rude) asking us over and over why why why??? then he called the salesman back in the office. At this point I was irritated, aggravated and wanted to swing so I decided to sign the paper and get out of there.I've been calling ever since to get my money back and I'm still waiting. I wish I had read the reviews before going to this dealership.Very very sleasy.

Was very satisfied with my purchase. No pressure and very friendly service. I would recommend this dealership to friends. Don took the time to make sure we knew our options. The warranty was definitely worth the hour drive. I don't know of any dealership that offers 20 years, 200,000 miles!

Laine was really great, on top of things and very helpful without being pushy. I traded in a Hyundai with 180,000 miles on it - I loved my car and had great luck but it was at it's final stages. I wanted another great Hyundai so, there I was! Love the car, hope it turns out as great as the one I traded in. I would recommend Laine and Colonial Hyundai to anyone interested in these great cars. My name is Lauren. I bought a 2007 Scion tc from Colonial Hyundai on Easter weekend. When I got there, the dealership was crowded with a lot of customers, and I kept on hearing a siren inside saying "Congratulations on your new car!". All the cars on the lot were so clean and shiny, I didn't know where to start. I went to look at a new Sonata which was too expensive for me, so the salesman Vinnie was so helpful to find me a car that I loved and fit in my budget at the same time! It was the best experience from my salesguy to the sales manager Jimmy who even helped me with the financing options. My car is awesome and I will never buy a car anywhere else! I definitely recommend this dealership for any new or pre-owned car!!!

I have bought a 2009 Santa Fe and I am more than thrilled with my choice. Everyone was willing to help me with any questions that I had. I would recommend this location to anyone that would like to buy a car. This is the 3rd car I have bought from this location and have been happy with every sell.

We bought a used Saturn Vue on Wednesday. We found an electrical problem over the weekend they refused to fix. Pepboys, while working on it, found an exhaust leak that was leaking into the cabin. The car that the dealership claimed passed inspection was a literal death trap. We payed almost 8,000 in cash and they didn't care. We went rounds with them. Finally after many rounds they agreed to fix it, but they couldn't. So we took are car to another automotive shop and they can do the work for less than $100. These people are either incompetent or lairs who put my 19 month old child in real danger. I was treated for monoxide poisoning the following Tuesday after we bought the car. It doesn't take much to kill a small child, and this car was probably leaking enough that repeat exposure could have killed her.Their pricing was also least than honest. They tried to make us pay more at the last minute on TTL. I told them I had only agreed to pay 7,900 for everything and only after I threatened to walk did they change their tune. These people are very shady. If you do business with them be well armed! Know what the car is worth and don't let them run your credit till you find out how much the car is. They try to jack the price up if you have bad credit.

Went in to get a used car with less than stellar credit. I make really good money, and have little in actual bills, so my disposable income is pretty large.Anyways, as stated before (in other's comments here), I was told that I was approved for a loan before i came in, then they asked to have a credit check run (pretty shady, they SHOULD have already run it). We were asked to go out and look at 4-5 cars we liked, and report back which ones we would like to test drive etc... which we do (looked anyways). After this, they pulled the "good news" game and brought us to the first car (not on our list btw). I was not at all a fan of the car, but decided to test drive it anyways. At this point I decided that it was not at all what I wanted (no power, ugly interior, wasn't an odd numbered day today), but was curious on the price. I also asked what other cars we could look at, and was promptly told that aside from some sonatas, this car was what the bank had decided (BIG mistake, since i came in asking about a specific vehicle).5 minutes later we are back at the sales person's desk arguing about the price as it is 5k over Edmunds book value (dealer price). They wanted a total of 15k with fees and everything tacked on..... not even considering the fact that i hated the look of the vehicle and wanted nothing to do with it. Not once did he ask what cars WE wanted. I finally got fed up with the games and walked out. His reaction was "What did I do?"... At this point I was no longer interested in even explaining what what went awry, I just wanted out.Moral of the story..... In my opinion, if you want to pay over book for a vehicle, this is the place for you. If you are interested in being treated like they are doing YOU a favor, this is the place for you. If you love being lied to in marketing emails, only to be told they need to run your credit when you get there, this is the dealer for you.DISCLAIMER: I may have overreacted..... It's possible that my experience would have been better if I had waited 5 minutes more, but after hearing the sales guy argue over sale price with my wife on a car I did not want...... It created an environment that I would not rather purchase a vehicle in, and enough was enough. 20% markup over book would have been acceptable (I would have at least felt better about haggling that down), but 50% was ridiculous.DOUBLE DISCLAIMER: after reading the other reviews here, I am glad I left. I've never been a fan of dealer vehicle warranties, but it sounds like (from other reviews) that theirs is especially shady.NOTE TO DEALER: I know desperate people are easy to rip off, but seriously, you have your sales process backwards..... I tell you what kind of car I want, not you. We could have haggled about price on a car that i at least felt good about... persistently asking why I do not like a vehicle is unacceptable; maybe I only like toyotas on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays of each week, does it really matter? If I do not like a vehicle, and say that, there is absolutely no reason to persist..... move on to the next one, you have plenty there. You could have had a sale, and possibly more, but the experience was just terrible. Also, when I ask your salesperson about the price, don't dodge the question and say you do not have it, of course you do.

I had a very bad experience, and was cheated of an incentive. The sales price was jacked up by $2000, as was the trade-in price. They made it look like I was getting $2000 more than Blue Book value for the trade in but in fact I got nothing - I HAD been promised Blue Book value plus $1000. We were paying cash, but still had to wait for four hours while these guys just yammered nonsense at us. I wrote to them twice, spoke with their PR rep, and no one has responded. Sleazy all the way. I love the car but that place is awful.. Go somewhere else for your Hyundai Tucson.

I heard the 1/3rd off of any Sonata ad that they had on the radio. I went interested in purchasing one. They then tried to tell me that the manufacture's rebate was included in the 1/3rd off, which is fine. THEN they tell me that my TRADE IN is INCLUDED to get the 1/3rd off discount. WTF? There's nothing in the ad that says the trade in is required for the discount, I think they make these things up as they go. So after going back to a few other dealers shopping around, I get a good price, and call up Jas & Jim to see if they can match it - sure they can they say. I come in ready to pay, and then suddenly the paper work comes out $2000 HIGHER than our agreed upon price. They tell me that's the best they can do, and that the price we agreed to on the phone was not valid anymore. No way am I going to deal with a scam like this.

Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown, PA is not to be trusted. The owner (John Ashdale) gets dressed up in a Colonial Minuteman costume to promote his dealership. What a persona a business person portraying himself as a patriot then rips-off his fellow countrymen/women.I went there because of an ad in the Philadelphia Inquirer promoting rebates zero percent financing six months of free gas (gift card).I was in a bind to buy since my previous employer took back my company car.I trusted this sleazy dealership and went back for the rebates, zero percent financing and gas gift card. They refused my request to even discuss this matter between us.Also, the finance manager sold me on the maintenance agreement which he said was good for 3 years of basic service. It turned out to be only good for 10 oil changes. What a rip-off. The whole experience was a complete rip-off.DO NOT GET RIPPED-OFF by the fake persona of greed.

Overpriced the vehicle by thousands, and discounted it just above MSRP to make me think I was getting a deal, bat me up in finance the rate actually increased by 2 points due to higher list price. Then they offered me 2000.00 less for my trade and It had been appraised by 4 other dealers to make more money!

Having read the reviews of this dealership written by others I was expecting the worst...but because of the great prices offered in their ad in the newspaper we decided to drive in from the York area to look at Elantras and Sonatas listed in their ad. Althought they did not have any 2009 4 cylinder Sonatas on the lot they did have several 2009 Elantras which qualified for the great prices advertised...and we bought one. Our salesman, Sean Bennett, did a great job for us, and we would highly recommend him to anyone. The only negative we experienced was that we had to wait over 3 hours while the paperwork was being processed and to drive the car home that day...which caused us to get stuck in 4pm shift-change traffic in York. (It may have taken a little longer to process our paperwork because we had a "clunker" to trade...but if we know it were to take over 3 hours we would have gone out and returned later rather than just sitting in the dealership.)

I have been to many dealerships in the past few weeks and I never felt more comfortable than I did at colonial hyundai of downingtown. The sales staff was very knowledgable and courteous, and there was a general atmosphere of friendliness and care for our needs. We originally went in for one particular vehicle, but Vince quickly realized that there was another vehicle that suited our needs much better. I cannot thank Vince or Colonial Hyundai enough and will be sure to send all of my friends and relatives to them when they need a vehicle.

Not a good experience dealing with one of the sales manager. The sales man was fine and after i called the owner with my complaint he did apologize for the mistakes made on the part of his staff. I was not happy with the outcome and in my opinion only it was a classic bait and switch move on their Part. I will never do business with Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown Pa and will warn every friend and family of the same.

I had a terrible experience at Colonial. Before going out there, I asked if they had any of the specific model I wanted, and was told that they did. But when I got there, they claimed that they had all been sold. I'm skeptical of that because I was asking for a very specific model, and they haven't gone quickly at any other dealer I've talked to, so multiple going in one day seems strange.Again, before going, I talked to a sales manager there, who assured me that he wouldn't waste my time if I went out there, and that they could get any car that I wanted, and that finding another car would not be a problem. When I got there, I was told that the sale that was going on (33% off) only applied to cars in stock, and not for dealer trades, and so the sale was not valid for what I wanted!Next, they had a 33% off sale on all their cars, but this is BS. They mark up the cars by thousands of dollars above MSRP (claiming it's Adjusted Market Value, which no other dealer in the area does), which allows them to claim they are having great sales, which aren't really sales at all. They are liars, the worst kind of car salesman. Go somewhere else; don't waste your time with this crap.P.S. In addition, while I was there, another customer was talking to the salesmen/managers about a car she wanted to purchase, and it sounded like she was not very happy with them, and that they had told her one thing, and then when they got her in to sign papers, they were telling her something else. I don't know what exactly it was about, but this is one more reason to stay away from this terrible dealer.

Don't go to this dealership.I got swindled by them. They are as phony as a $3 bill. All they care about is being nice to you til they get their positive rating.Rate them honestly. They play games with financing.I got approved for a good rate and they called me back in and said i had to resign due to a technicality. When i came back in they said that i had to change banks (unbenowst to me they moved up my first payment) they upped my payment and rate and cut what they were offering me. I felt in a bad posiiton as they already had my car on trade in and didn't know what to do - their finance guy pressured me into signing a new (worse deal and here i am stuck with it).In short they are a bunch of crooks who shouldn't be operating....Buyer beware - after you are stuck with it for 5 years it's too late.I was a devoted Hyundai dealer - now I will never buy a Hyundai again and i advise other people not to either. Buy American - buy a Ford.Suzette

I've worked with 2 different sales people here to purchase 3 cars. Twice I worked with Mr. Kenneth Infante and the other sales person's name I forgot. I've had a pleasant experience all three times and I've purchased all three cars at well below MSRP. If you walk in there knowing what you should be paying, acknowledging that the dealership is in business to make SOME money, you won't be disappointed. However, be prepared to spend some time there while they try to keep the prices up. I would appreciate more accurate description of what is available when I call on the phone. Twice, we called and was told there were several in stock of the specification I asked for but came by to find out there was only 1 or 2 in that specification. Although their sales is great... service is another issue. I tend not to go to this dealership for service. I may write a negative review on this later.

This dealership is perfect example of the sterotype salesmen. Our car was over priced by thousands, yet made to seem like we were getting a deal. We were promised 2 full years of service no matter how many miles we put on the car, by both the salesman and one of the managers. When we were provided with only one punch card for service, we thought nothing of it. Now after 9 months, our punch card is close to the end of its first year. When asking the service dept. how to go about another card, we were told to take it up with the salesmen who sold us the car. We were told that each new car comes with only 1 year free service. It's nice how that story quickly changed. We paid for an upgrade in the roof of the car and had the liner falling down within a few months of our purchase. The middle arm rest in the back seat had a tear from the leather not being placed correctly.Oh the best part, is sitting in their waiting room for service- they hide you on the side of the building where it is HOT! The a/c doesn't work in the summer or is overwhelmed by the sun. At least you get to sit there with other frustrated customers, who like us will never buy from this dealership again.

Having read some negative reviews about the dealer but being atracted by the low prices I went to Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown with misgivings and caution. To my delight it was a very satisfactory experience. I ended buying a new 2009 4 door automatic Accent for a most reasonable price and a good trade-in. One has to be able to work toward an agreement and be cautious about the extras, but that is pretty much true of any car buying. We did not have to wait, were dealt with professionally and friendly. After we agreed on the deal the car was detailed in an hour and everything worked out as promised. Paul Mojzes

I have never been so disappointed in my life..When you complete an application online they approve everyone so then you drive there and think your approved and then they drop the bad news on you that says they can't appove you and I believe they do this to alot of people because in my 3 1/2 hours of being there with my Daughter and Son-in Law they did this to at least 3 other couples..They also make these announcements that there goes another satisfied customer in a new car but you never see anyone leave..I also think this guy you go through on line to be approved is fak too...I would not tell anyone about this place...BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total waste of time. Bait and switch. Dealer called me before I left home informing me that rebates advertised are applicable to all cars in inventory. If I have time I will take them to small claims for waisting my time and the gas I paid for driving their way.Below is just a summary of what happened:Increased the price of the vehicle being negotiated way above stickerAdded 2000 worth of unnecessary services to the priceDeclined to apply rebates advertised and promised over the phone Informed me that there is a sign on the SIDE door that says that advertisement has an error (why not on the front door and why did you call me home then)POOR math in coming at final value and incredibly POOR handling of customers.. certainly not used to dealing with the average middle class.. if you know what I mean. Cash requested + trade inn value proposed where much higher than the sticker price of the car.Yes.. that too.. the manager sent his sales rep to bring his calculator and some tissues because he had cold.. we did not like the way he treated the employee, who was doing a fantastic job with us until we met that manager.

As a customer I would like to say a few words about all the people that I dealt with at Colonial Hyunadai. Let me start by saying as a customer with poor credit I had to go online to find a dealer who would even want to deal with such a customer. My credit is poor dut to circumstances beyond my control. I had a response the same day from Colonial Hyundai Her name was Jessica and was very courteous and friendly. I then proceeded to go down the next day which was a Saturday. I was trading in a car and trying to purchase a newer car with a warrranty and better on gas and a price that I could afford. These people work with me not giving up once to get me a deal I could live with. Not only did I pget to purchase a car I love very much I also regained faith in the people of good nature. These people could not have been any nicer and understanding. I would reccomend anyone who is looking for a car to go to Colonial Hyundai for friendly and courteous service. If they could help me get a car they can help anyone. I am sure of that. Thank You again Colonial Hyundai. I don't know who gets to read these messages but I think the people who it is written about should get to know when they do a good job as well as when they don't . I would really liked this passed on the the employees of Colonial Hyundai so that they know I appreciate everything they have done for me. Thank you again.Janet McDonough A very satisfied customerGod Bless!

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP AND ONLINE QUOTE "PROMISES"We received an online quote...this dealership did not honor the quote, and danced around the "fine print". After a long wait, we finally met with the sales manager, Mr. Lopez. We agreed upon a price and finance rate. They promised us the car, detailed and ready as soon as we finished with financing. The car was pulled up and "ready to go". After another long wait, we finally got to the financing department. Started to listen to the long speech regarding extended warranties, blah, blah, blah, when I noticed that the price and APR were not as quoted. Thankfully we had not signed anything. Mr. Lopez was called and stated that we had "misunderstood his offer", even though we had a paper in his writing with his agreed price. At that point, we walked out. This dealership wasted our time. They had no intention of honoring the online quote given by Jennifer Savastio.

What a scam . First you wait maybe over 9 hours to get into a piece of crap car which of course I fell for. Even came with a 6 month warranty(hehe) so the first week I had the car the transmission was banging into gear. Took back to the service department and they replaced some bulbs, oh ok. Then I rode it home same crap. Called Colonial and was told that the service manage of 25 years was never wrong. Well apparently they are because I took it to a reputable transmission place and they have the whole transmission out and it needs to be replaced my wallet shocking. Now Colonial washes their hands while I continue with no car and steep payments. Then I find out too late they have all kinds of complaints against them. Run everyone from these people

Went in to purchase a used vehicle. Was told before coming that I was approved for a loan, and would just have to come in and sign papers. Went in looking for a certain car, and was told it was already sold. Salespeople continued to try to pester me into buying another vehicle. Continued to told me to "just sit down" for over an hour, as they "copied my drivers license." This was obviously just a ploy to keep me from leaving. Later was told "well, we are going to put your credit application in now, and it takes some time", AFTER they had told me I was approved! After sitting at a desk for 90+ minutes waiting for absolutely nothing, I tried to ask the salesman for my documents back so I could leave. He ignored me, said "I have another idea", and vanished again. The service here is absolutely atrocious. In addition to my situation, I witnessed them try to bait-and-switch with the gentleman at the desk next to me. They quoted him a price, he gave them a down payment and signed papers, and then someone walked up to say "well, the payments are going to be higher than we agreed upon." Very poor.

Colonial Hyundai is offering a Triple Rebate - they will triple all rebates from the manufacturer. After we struck a deal, this Finance Manager had to adjust and reprint the Sales Contract 4 times! I was so frustrated that on the final print, I just signed the darned form. Later that night, I realized they had not given me a copy. I contacted the dealership and they said that I should have been more careful and would not give me a copy of the Sales Contract. Three days later (sound familiar? 3 day right to return product), I received a call from them asking when I was going to come up with the $6,000 additional cash that I owed them. It was a cash sale and completely paid for.<br><br>I had to call the State Attorney General's Office to get a copy of the Sales Contract. That is when I found out that they did not triple the rebate (a $4,400 mistake) and they charged me for a service contract ($1,300) that I had signed a disclosure paper declining the service contract. That's $5,700 add sales tax to this figure ($342.00) and there is the missing $6,000! Guess what else? They had modified the figures AND USED WHITE OUT on the form!<br><br>Buyer beware! They have a record at the Chester County Department of Consumer Affairs, the Montgomery County Department of Consumer Affairs, and at the State Attorney General's Office in Harrisburg. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!

After having a terrible experiance with a Hyundai dealer close to home I went on-line for a quote. From here on in it was a pleaasure buying my new Sonata. Colonial Hyndai is a first class outfit. Brian Maloney and Adam Dubrow treated me like a customer, not like my home town dealer did. I would have no problem recommending them to my family and friends. Joe
