We drove from Roseburg to Portland for the sole purpose of purchasing a specific truck on the Columbia Motors lot. We primarily dealt with Max, the manager. He is knowledgeable about his products and focuses on educating the customer even if a vehicle is not purchased from his lot. After some negotiating, we were definitely satisfied with the truck for the money paid. As many of you know, it is a different mindset if one is in a position of needing a vehicle quickly after a total loss verses the luxury of having time to shop around. We ended up getting a vehicle with a rebuilt title, which meant we were able to pay less and get more for our money. Max helped us to be comfortable with the decision. His information did match the research we did ourselves. It is worth your time to check out Columbia Motors if you will be in the Portland area.

We had a great experience with Columbia Motors. We worked mostly with Max, but also Art and Joseph. We found them to be honest and straightforward with us about the value of the car and to be very personable. We did bring it to a mechanic before purchasing the car and I would always recommend that to anyone buying a used car, but the mechanic did not reveal anything that made us think the car had been inacurately represented by the dealership. We were nervous about buying a rebuilt vehicle but the dealership offered the option of buying a third-party-warranty that made us feel confident with the purchase. They were also able to line up a good financing option that beat our credit unions interest rates. We came in to buy from Central Oregon and had most things prepared before coming into Portland. We would feel confident buying from them again.

We had a really good experience with Columbia Motors especially since we were shopping from out of town. We dealt with them (mostly Mike) by phone and email so we put a lot of trust in them that the vehicle was everything it was advertised to be. Mike was kind enough to make a video of the vehicle starting up and show all the electronics working to email us before we put money down to hold the vehicle. When we traveled to Portland to pick the vehicle up they were happy to open a half hour early to get the deal finalized and the vehicle was exactly as they represented it to be. Everyone we dealt with at Columbia motors was super nice and very helpful. Our experience was so good we already have them watching for another vehicle for us. We look forward to dealing with them again.

We needed to buy a truck for towing our RV. My husband and I have been looking for months for a good truck at a great price. We finally found that truck at Columbia Motors. Exceptional customer service! I couldn't be more impressed with both Max and Mikes ability to make sure I was 100% completely satisfied. They not only went above and beyond, they made me feel like I was important and a priority. I understand you can by a car anywhere, but can you buy a car from somewhere that looks at you and wants to help you like you're family. Car buying is stressful and tough but these two gentleman made it not only pleasant and enjoyable but also were informative and honest. Originally heard of this dealership from a friend of ours who previously purchased a car with them. I went in there to have my 2011 Subaru Forester Serviced. Long story short the service and repairs turned out to be almost half the price of what I was originally equated at les schwab. A laid back and friendly environment staffed with young professional. My only compliant was there was a scheduling conflict, turns out my slot was already booked and they had to move me down an hour. Make sure to Double check and triple check that they get you into the appropriate time frame. Maria was friendly and took the initial call. Overall a pleasant experience. I will come here first when im ready to update my vehicle. Thanks guys.

I went in to look at an 02 Subaru WRX. Car looked fine and was decently priced. Their ad claimed they had replaced a multitude of parts so the car should be in great condition. I took it to a mechanic down the street and was horrified when I saw it up on the lift. The car had bee sprayed over to cover damage. There were three oil leaks that had been painted over. The brakes had only been halfway replaced so that they appeared new but in fact would have only lasted a month. Being a female, I was wary of car shopping alone so I did some research first. I knew this year was notorious for the glass transmission because it has so many issues. I was talking to the salesperson about this and he had no clue of anything on this car. He called over his coworker who claimed to have worked at Subaru. I asked him, and he began to tell me that this model is fine and it's the Forrester that has problems. I rattled off some stats about the car and they both shut up. Needless to say, my lower price offer that included the cost of repairs that the car needed ($2000!!) was not even considered and they didn't call me back. If you're willing to take a chance an buy a car that you may have surprises with later, go for it. Definitely get it checked out first though.

Purchased a 2014 Subaru Forester from Columbia Motors. The price was well below typical for that year and make of vehicle. After shopping around in our own area, we decided to make the trip to Portland (a 3 1/2 hour drive) to check out the Forester we saw advertised on line. Nice car, clean, very low miles. Staff was not pushy and answered all our questions. We were assured that everything was working, but should anything come up, they would take care of it. Driving the car home we noticed a few electrical problems. So we returned the car and true to their word Columbia Motors agreed to resolve all the issues. It was a long drive for me so they even put me up in a motel while the car was sent out to be serviced. They were true to their promise, answered everytime I called to check on the status, and went the extra mile to be sure I was satisfied. I would recommend Columbia Motors to others.

Ok I'm not one to write reviews often, but this place is really pro. The first time I went there was close to closing time. I was looking at a specific truck I had found on CL. Maks let me take the truck by myself. The truck drove nice and was really clean. Priced below market value I was concered there may be issues with the truck. (Seemed to good to be true) when I returned There was no pressure From Maks like at other car lots. I told him I had a recent bankrupsy and not so good credit. The next day to my suprice he had gotten me finacing from a credit union at the best interstate rate I have ever had. (Thanks Maks and Larry) I asked if he minded if I brought the truck to a mechanic. He said he incuraged it and would drop it off for me so I could stay at work. I am really gratefull for these guys.This was the most relaxed car buying experiance I ever had. I love my truck and would have paid allot more at another lot. If you need a car go see them. You will be happy you did.

Max acted as if he couldn't have cared less if we bought a car from them. So at least he was honest about that. They didn't follow through on their promises, and in my opinion, he was downright abusive to us in our last phone call to them. We would definitely never put ourselves through this again by going back there. And don't even CONSIDER buying from them without having the car THOROUGHLY checked out by a reputable mechanic.

It is my pleasure to recommend Columbia motors if you are searching for an automobile. I appreciate the open and honest way that Maks and Roman address their customers. These guys stand behind their word and are straightforward. We bought a used 2005 F250 with 85K miles on it. On our test drive we noticed it had a hard starting issue when the engine was hot. Columbia motors sales team suggested we take the truck to our local Ford dealership and that they would cover the diagnostics and repairs for the hard starting issue. We took the truck into Bickford Ford where they found a bad injector, IPR and STC fitting. They replaced all bad parts and Columbia Motors stood by their word and covered all costs. This was an expensive fix, $2400.00. Columbia Motors are honorable and have real integrity. They give 110% effort to make you comfortable with purchasing a vehicle. They set the bar high when it comes to being fair and honest in their dealings. When all is said and done, you will have to search far and wide to find someone as well respected, professional and sincere as Columbia Motors There is no sales pressure when buying a vehicle. It was an honor to do business with Maks and Roman. Ive never dealt with a new or used car dealership like I have with Columbia Motors. I will look no further on our next vehicle purchase. I bought a 2010 Mitsubishi Evolution GSR. They said the car was in great shape and let me take it for a test drive. Everything seemed great and the car was a little bit cheaper there than anywhere else I looked. I went through this car since I live in Northwest Washington state and was buying a car in Oregon. Max was the salesman and he provided a list of repairs and check-ups done to the car. The repairs included a new transfer case, CV joints and axles among some small parts. The previous owner must have did the 7,000 RPM clutch drop was my thought. All was in order and I finished the paperwork, got a full tank of gas and was on my way. Two hours into the drive, I started to smell burning rubber and oil. My first thought was "here we go, I just got screwed by a smooth talking used car salesman". I watched for a check engine light and it didn't come on. I pulled over at the nearest rest stop, popped the hood. I looked for anything obvious, nothing. I looked under the car, it was clean, but I could smell the rubber. So I got in the car and drove the rest of the way home and called Max and told him of my problem. He was surprised and asked if I could take it to a local garage and have them check it out. I told him I planned on it and took it to our local Mitsubishi dealership. The dealership looked the car over and found a cracked transfer case and a leaking rear seal. I was absolutely upset when I heard about this and the fact that I was looking at approx. $3000.00 for all the repairs. I called Max expecting to hear excuses and getting a run-around. Max said he needed to call his boss and the place where they bought the transfer. I thought that this is where the games begin. Max called me the next day and said he called his boss who said they would fix the car and Max said he called they shop that sold them the transfer case and that he found another transfer case from a different shop that they could send to fix the car. Max wanted to know if there was a Mechanic I used and if I would take my car there so that they could send the required parts to that shop to fix the car. I took the Evo to Benchmark Automotive in Kingston WA., one of the last few speed shops around and Dave at Benchmark called Max and they set up the repairs. The transfer case came in and Scott, the owner of Benchmark checked out the transfer case before installing. The transfer case was good, but Scott noticed the rear seal was leaking and pulled the drive line. The spring on the rear seal had slipped, wrapped around the drive line and wore the sealing surface on the drive line to the point where it would not seal. Dave called Max, Max told Dave to get the parts they needed to make the car right. I picked my car up two days later and Dave and Scott showed me the parts removed and they explained how it might have happened and the things that would have gone wrong if they weren't fixed. Dave told me that Max never complained or tried to short-cut the repair process and both Scott and Dave said they were happy dealing with Max at Columbia Motors. I am convinced that Columbia motors made little to no profit on this car and may have even lost a little money. But they stood behind this car, their name, their commitment to quality service and having happy customers. I have dealt with new car dealers who gave me a harder time on a new vehicle than I received with Columbia Motors. I will be buying my next cars at Columbia Motors. Few people today stand behind their products and name in the way Columbia stands behind theirs. I can not thank Max enough for his customer service and commitment to excellence.

Sooo I went in to buy a 2006 Ford F350, when I got there I was suprised to see how nice there cars were! not what I was expecting, most smaller lots have a couple of nice cars and the rest are junk but with these guys every car I saw was really nice inside and out (they are going to need a much bigger lot soon) So nice that not only did I buy my truck but I also found that they had a beautiful Audi Q7 sitting there just for me lol so with absoultly NO pressure from them I bought two vehicles from them. The whole experience was great from dealing with Maks and Ruban to Larry in finance these guys were great and they totally have a return customer with me when I get another car. They really went above and beyond to help make it so I could get both vehicles. but hey don't just read what I am saying go meet them and get a awsome new car for yourself!

My husband and I were looking for a reliable, strong truck at a right price to haul our 5th wheel. We had been to 5 other dealers but Columbia Motors had a truck that was in WAY better condition for a better than reasonable price then ANY of the other dealers. Since my husband works out of town (over 300 miles away), we only have the one car and he could only come home on his day off (Sundays only), Maks helped us get a great deal. He came in on Sunday (the only day they are closed) to open the office to help us purchase the truck on my husband's day off. Not only that but it was Easter morning. Maks also worked out the loan processing with my husband over the phone during that entire week prior to purchasing. He was very kind and understanding. He was not pushy in any way at all. He gave us the keys and let us check the truck out and take it for a test drive while he finished getting the paper work together. My husband and I completely love the truck. We were looking for a Hyundai because of the manufacturer warranty. We found a vehicle at Columbia Motors for less than comparable models elsewhere and working with David and Max was great! When David came out to greet us and was very polite, not pushy at all. He gave us the keys to look it over and take a test drive while he went back into the office. We appreciated the fact we could drive it without feeling any pressure. David answered all of our questions about the vehicle and the warranty and after deciding on a price he turned us over to Max to complete the process. We were pre-approved through our credit union with a good interest rate but Max was able to secure the loan through a different lender at a lower interest rate which made this deal even better! Aside from the phone interruptions and how extremely busy they were, the entire process was much quicker than our experiences with past dealerships and left us with a good feeling about our purchase. The only comment I could make would be that they could use a few more employees to curb the interruptions and make the process even smoother. A few days later I realized there was no spare tire or jack with the car and after telling Max he quickly ordered a new set and had it delivered to my daughter in California the following week. They seem to go above and beyond customer satisfaction. We would highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle through Columbia Motors.

We purchased an Audi A3, 2013, from Columbia Motors. They set up the delivery from Oregon to the Border Area of Texas, South Of Laredo. The car is every bit as nice as advertised, it runs like a new car (it only had 10,000 miles), and looks as if it rolled off of the New Car Dealers Lot. This is a rebuilt auto that had been involved in a front end accident. The fit of the front fenders, hood grill etc. is like new. The paint matches exactly. The quality of the rebuild work is the best I've seen. Mechanically this car is perfect, it is a TDI, and drives great. A week after it arrived, we took it on a 4000 trip, it rode like a dream. My Salesman was Bo, I found him trustworthy and honest. He worked through the interstate paperwork correctly, made arrangements form a safe and dependable auto transport to deliver the car 2000 to me. I spoke with Max on a couple of occasions and found him equally straight forward and helpful. I will have them look for an Audi Q7 for me in a couple of years, the A3 is my wife's car, the Q7 will be mine(ours).

I am 2300 miles from this dealership. My contact has been strictly by phone with the General Sales Manager, Ekai. I called about a 2013 Toyota Highlander. Having purchased several other vehicles without laying eyes on them you learn to ask lots of questions. My first impression was good. Ekai seemed honest, informative and willing to send me additional pictures. He was a bit pushy to make a sale but I understand that is his job. He made me an offer of a price adjustment but we had a couple of vehicles to look at in person and I promised I would call him back. I asked Ekai to address two areas with very minor blemishes. He agreed to address these areas and call me back with the results today. Today I got his call but it was to say that he has another interested party but wanted to give me the first right of refusal. Ekai raised his previous offer by $500. As much as I appreciated the call I find it unethical to place me in a situation. Ekai was offended that I called the practice unethical. Needless to say I will not be buying the car. I read other reviews and I appreciate when someone writes about their experience, good or bad. I hope this candid review helps another buyer somewhere. I was looking to buy a Ford Fusion and found the exact one I wanted. When I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff and shown the car. I was given the keys and allowed to just browse the vehicle without anyone around me pressuring me. This was very relaxing and nice. The salesman was very honest with me and mentioned that the front had been repainted and even showed me pictures of the car before repairs! This was so refreshing since most dealerships just try to hide everything and say the car is perfect. I've owned the car for six weeks now without any issues and love my new car! Thanks guys.
