Friendly and informative staff were very helpful. I can't believe what a driving difference quality tires make vs my worn out tires. How can an oil change be fun? But the staff, esp. Paul, made the experience great! We're travelling from MI and have never seen a more beautiful lounge area. Of course, the oil change was extremely thorough and the car was clean when they were done. They also had to remove tons of luggage from the rear compartment to check the spare tire. We were very well treated and our car was handled professionally. We're safe to go for another several thousand miles till we arrive back home in MI. You might want to make Paul CEO :)

Buying my new Tacoma was a long process and Summer was so helpful through the whole time. I always got new literature as it became available. Once the purchase was complete, I then found the service department to be just as helpful taking care of my Toyota Care service starting with the helpful reminders and quick service via the appointments. During our wait times while my truck was being serviced we often enjoyed lunch in the Smiling Dog Cafe. Excellent salesman, Jeff, was knowledgeable and able to efficiently show us all details of the vehicle we were interested in plus help us in comparing various styles. The facility is always clean and friendly to all family members. The Smiling Dog Cafe is a relaxing place to have a bite and relax while you are having any service work done or just getting your Toyota washed. There is also a little grassy park for your dogs to relax in. For families with small children there is a play room. Try this dealership and I don't think you will be disappointed.

On a Saturday night after 6 pm we had van (2006 Sienna) trouble about 30 miles south of the dealership. The dealership office person, Andrea, answering the phone AFTER HOURS, stayed with us, and got the General Manager, Glen to try and troubleshoot with me on the phone. Glen suggested that we drive back to Coos Bay so he could take a look at what the computer said the problem was. When we determined that the van needed ignition coil repair and the service department would not be open until Monday morning, Glen offered us a loaner SUV (there were 5 of us). On Monday morning, Paul called me by 8:30 saying they had found the problem, outlining what could be done, and asking what I wanted to do. When I said, repair it, they said it would be completed by Tuesday noon. Tuesday morning by 8:30, Paul called to say the van was ready for pick up.I drove from my home in Grants Pass, Oregon to the dealership in Coos Bay, Oregon and picked up the van. I offered to pay for the use of the loaner SUV and Glen said that was not necessary. WOW, this was service beyond the call of duty! Well Done! and thank you so much Coos Bay Toyota!

We have used Coos Bay Toyota for servicing our 2 vehicles since we moved to the area 3 years ago. Overall this place is great. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, they seem to love their jobs and the cafe is an extra bonus. It would be 5 stars, but the amount of time it takes to get your car back when the service is completed is way too long lately! Our last 2 visits have been this way. I understand that they are crazy busy, but I shouldn't have to look at my finished car in the lot for 20+ minutes while I wait to get my keys back and pay. Since it didn't used to take that long, hopefully its being worked on and will return to the old normal. I would still recommend Coos Bay Toyota to anyone, but plan on a little extra time than normal if they are busy.

We were from out of town, when our Toyota suddenly developed engine trouble. Oil leak in line, dumping almost all the oil left us in a real mess. We made it to Coos Bay Toyota. Lori Sappington, in the service department immediately began solving problems we were facing. I had my eyes dilated at the eye dr. earlier in the day and could barely see. My husband has severe CPOD, and can't walk far. We had our dog with us. We were shown into the Smiling Dog Cafe at the dealership and sat down in comfy chairs to wait for diagnostic tests on the car. We were offered a rental car as repairs would take at least 4 days to complete. When Lori realized we were not able to pay for a rental car, she arranged for a loaner at no cost. We were treated with kindness and consideration by every employee we encountered. Car is running great and we got it back a lot cleaner than we left it. Thank you Tech 753. . We highly recommend Coos Bay Toyota to everyone...!!!

I purchased a 2016 Tundra from a dealer in the metro-area. The following weekend we planned our first trip to the dunes in Coos Bay with our trailer. The integrated trailer brake wasn't working and there were multiple warnings flashing on the dash shortly after getting on the road. We went to a metro-area dealer but after an hour wait were told they were too busy to get us in and couldn't even look at it until the following week. They advised the vehicle was safe to operate but we would need to use the manual trailer brake controls. We decided to continue our trip. I called Coos Bay Toyota. I was advised they were booked up on Saturday but would try to get us in if we showed up in the morning. Saturday morning we drove the truck to Coos Bay Toyota about 20 minutes before they were scheduled to be open. We planned on drinking our coffee and waiting in the lot until they opened. To our surprise the doors were open and we were greeted by the friendly staff. They confirmed they were booked up but would try to fit us in. The Service Manager personally drove us to a local store and told us to call back if we needed a ride anywhere else. While picking up supplies for camping and waiting for our friends, we got a call from the service department advising they had already inspected the truck and found a faulty trailer brake control. They advised they had to order the part but it wouldn't be in until Monday at the earliest. We had planned to leave first thing Monday morning because of the long drive and work commitments. They advised they would try to get it in as early as possible but it likely wound't be until Monday afternoon then they would need to install it. Fast forward to Monday morning. At about 8:30 am, I got a call advising the part was in and they were making it a priority to install because they were aware of our time commitments. Just before 10:00 am they called back and advised they were finished and it was ready to pick up. The only problem we had was no ride to pick it up as our friends had left. The Service Manager came all the way to Riley Ranch to pick us up AGAIN and drove us to the dealership. We were greeted with our keys and the service records then escorted to our truck - which they WASHED! Then I realized I left my cell phone in the Service Manager's car. The staff retrieved my phone and quickly brought it to me. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the level of service from this dealership and everyone there I interacted with in the service department. I wish I could find this level of service in the metro-area. We were disappointed with having a issue with our brand new truck but were blown away by the experience in Coos Bay. I can't thank them enough!!!!

Coos bay Toyota worked with me and I certainly would recommended this dealership to anyone shopping for new or used vehicle. Owner Mr. Lee Hawthorne is more then accommodating to assist you as well as staff. Having Smiling Dog Cafe in establishment is a bonus where you can relax, have a cup of coffee on the house, or have a bite to eat. I look forward to my visits, very different then my past experiences at dealerships elsewhere.

I find the Coos Bay service department professional, courteous and do a great job on my 1999 RAV4. Having used their service for 15 years, I can't imagine going anywhere else. All their customer service reps are friendly and helpful, but Paul Mecca stands out as an exceptional service representative. He is always helpful, polite, takes the extra time to explain car repairs, and has solved my transportation issues while my car is worked on, more than once. I bought my van from Coos Bay Toyota, and I get all my maintenance done there. I trusted Coos Bay Toyota to take care of my van and keep me and my kids safe on the road. I paid $60 every 5,000 miles for a complete oil change that included extras such as tire rotations and a visual tire inspection. A few weeks ago, I noticed one of my tires was bald along the outside edge. I walked around the van and discovered all 4 of my tires are bald on the outside edge. Now, I don't know much about cars, but that didn't seem right. My husband took it down to Les Schwab Tire and had them check and they said it was seriously out of alignment and now needed 4 new tires. We were astounded. There was only 12,000 miles on those tires! We talked to the service manager at Coos Bay Toyota and after they gave us the run-around, they admitted fault. Their technician did NOT check our tires on any of our previous oil changes.Let me repeat that: The Service Manager admitted fault. Their technician failed to do his job, and by doing that, put myself and my 4 children at risk, driving around in the rain with bald tires. And now they don't want to make it right.Coos Bay Toyota's mission statement is: "We are pledged to fulfill the vehicle needs of our customers to their complete satisfaction with a genuine smile and sincere dedication." We didn't get that. Their service department failed us, and even though they service manager admitted fault, their sales manager was a complete and total jerk about it.Big fail, Coos Bay Toyota. My van just hit 90,000 miles and I'll be in the market for a new one in 2016. Guess I'll be heading over to Honda World.

On a road trip my 2010 Mazda5 engine blew in the middle of Wisconsin. I spent thousands of dollars getting it towed back to Oregon to get the repairs done at Coos Bay Toyota even though I wasn't sure if it was covered under warranty. I waited patiently for Toyota to review my case and decide if the repairs were covered under their Lifetime Power train Warranty. Amazingly, April called and said Coos Bay Toyota would cover the cost of a replacement engine. After replacing the engine other problems were discovered but in the end the only cost to me was a new battery! I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they have done to get my car back on the road. When the time comes I will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle here.

My family is from Eugene, so when it comes to stuff like buying vehicles and getting them maintenanced, that's where we go. I have a new camry that needed it's first oil change and did not have the time to travel to Eugene, so I made an appointment at the Coos Bay Toyota. I was surprised they could get me in that same day. Unfortunately I was about 15 minutes late to my appointment since I was held up at my son's doctor's appointment. I was afraid my appointment would be canceled, but they were so polite and told me they would still take care of me NO PROBLEM. Come to find out the gentleman worked through his lunch break to make sure my car got done. About an hour later my car was finished, and when I went to pick up the keys from the nice lady at the front desk, she told me her and the other woman at the front desk were the ones who went out and washed my car since they were so busy. I was so impressed! I didn't even know they washed your car for you when they were done changing your oil. Everyone was so kind, and they even called me the next day to make sure everything went okay. As a single parent working full time and going to school full time, they completely made my day. I will be taking my car to them from now on.

This is the worst service I have ever gotten from a rental car service ever. When I called to make a complaint, the response was; "It is what it is". How unprofessional is that. I rented a car over the weekend. First off I was to pick up the car Friday morning at 8:30. When I got there the car was not ready and I was told it would only be a few minutes, the car had not been washed and was not ready to go. Forty-five minutes later after pushing the car was ready. This stressed me out because I had a doctors appt out of town 6 1/2 hours later, leaving the driving time at 5 hrs. The car was rented for four days (to be returned the following Moonday before 5pm. When I got to my destination I found out that the second doctors appt for Monday had been cancelled. I called the car dealer and asked "if I returned the car early would I get a refund"?. I was told absolutely!. I drove the car back and had the rental back at the dealer the following day at 4:30pm. I found out when I got there the rental shop had closed at 2pm. No one told me that when I called? I made sure the dealership knew the car was back. On Monday I called to find out about y refund and was told, no you dont get a refund, you signed a contract. I explained the situation and was told, she would talk with the manager and get back with me (this is Haley and Heather Im talking with), but said you know it is what it is and I signed a contracct. She never got back to me and I was charged for three days instead of 4 because the dealership was not open on Sundays, even though they verified the car was back. So all in all, I was charged $204.00 for a car that I had for 1 and 1/2 days. So whoever the manager is of this Coos Bay Toyota, you may want to talk with your employees and explain curtousy for one and the service you give your clients and how they are treated are passed on to other people around them. Coos Bay is a small town and I will definately pass on my experience with Toyota, after all "it is what it is". Not only will I not rent fromm you again, but if I ever go looking for a car, I will head to the closet dealer outside of the town.The drive would be worth it just to get a little descentsy.

My Credit Union gave me the names of 3 dealerships they work with and I did a lot of online checking and reading evaluations. Originally, I planned on another SUV, but I'd ridden in a friend's Prius and at least three other friends had one so I chose the lift back since I use a walker at times. Summer was my Sales Representative and was so conscientious in making sure I knew the basics before even leaving the lot. I didn't have a particular color in mind so she brought me one in "Sea Glass Pearl" which is beautiful!!! Lots of compliments on that!. Doesn't show dirt easily, either! She offered me a Prius 3 originally, but I am cautious about too much technology and changed to a Prius 2, which was not a problem for her. There were incentives by Toyota and Rick Brown "crunched" the number to make sure I got the ultimate best deal. Have never before had such a pleasant car buying experience and will recommend Coos Bay Toyota to my friends!! And the reviews of other customers on their experiences was one of the reasons I chose to shop here.

Our purchase experience was best ever with clear information, fair negotiations, support to get the vehicle we wanted located and delivered in a timely manner. Dealership offers great follow up in a location that we enjoyed visiting prior to buying - it contributed to our trust of the dealership. Every employee from those at their endearing Laughing Dog food service bar to the vehicle service area and including the comfortable amenities of their waiting area (including the presence of well-behaved dogs and computers for customer use) are trained to make this a full-service dealership that keeps customer satisfaction in mind as a first priority. The greeters at the front door were always ready with a smile, our names once we purchased, and ready to get us in contact with staff we needed to talk with. With TV, comfortable chairs, a fireplace to take off any winter chill, tables and chairs for the eating area and plenty of room make visiting a pleasure. We also get a free car wash any time we wish. We actually stop in just for lunch!

We bought a used Mazda 3 at this dealership and were very impressed with the price. Overall, this dealership had a great deal for us, however, it was the customer service that really stood out! Our representative was named Summer and was very friendly and personal and was quick to help us out with anything that we needed. Amanda was also very helpful and clear with the information that she gave. The whole dealership had amazing hospitality and offered water and coffee as well as a free meal for my husband and I. I would highly recommend this dealership, especially to first time buyers like myself!

Ive bought four vehicles from Coos Bay Toyota and two from other dealers. Coos bay Toyota is the only dealer that offered a warranty on used vehicles. They were the only dealership that was willing to work with me on problems after the purchase, offered me extended warranties on used vehicles and took the time make I was informed about all my options. Going anywhere is just a mistake.

My husband and I were on our 10 year anniversary roadtrip down the coast and back home to Texas when in the middle of the woods, our Prius warning lights all came on! We carefully drove into Coos Bay and brought it to the dealership to have it checked out. The staff was SO friendly and helped us with everything, explaining the diagnosis, next steps and total cost of repair. They even gave us recommendations on where to camp that night for free and what to do around the area for fun while we waited. We didn't have to go far, though, to find an excellent cafe (Smiling Dog, connected to the dealership) where we could work (I am self-employed and my husband is a student) and enjoy complimentary coffee and delicious, reasonably priced goodies. We loved our experience here, especially how they treat their customers. We were looking and smelling a little worse for wear after having been camping on the beach the last few days. We were treated like VIPs and human beings here, and I saw the same treatment for other customers as well, ranging from polished to more scruffy appearances. We are so grateful that they treated us so well and took care of us while we figured out this roadtrip detour. Loved this place and would recommend it to anyone! :)

My toyota rave4 suddenly lost power as I went around the cornner. Strangers gracoiusly jumped my battery and directed me to the nearest toyota dealer. I was greeted promptly by April and she listened to my story and immediately started a plan of action. My car was being checked out within 15 minutes. They checked several things out and reported that everything was working properly and that I should have no trouble and they encouraged me to continue my trip. Not only did they was my car there was no charge for checking the car out. The next day I received a phone call from the dealership asking if things were ok with the car and thanked me profusely for choosing their dealership. I will think of them first when I am ready to buy a new car and drive the 3 hours from home to have this curtious,effecient and professional encounter with these well trained people. The car has operated perfectly ever since they checked it out. Thanks

I was "just looking" for a used car, when I arrived on the lot at Coos Bay Toyota and I was greeted by Aaron right away. Aaron was so personable that he made me feel comfortable right away. I purchased my Toyota in Portland a year ago, then relocated to Coos Bay for a job. I had a scheduled maintenance for my 2014 Toyota Rav4, which included a oil change and tire rotation, at Coos Bay Toyota After my car was serviced, they Washed my Vehicle. That extra service was Awesome!!! I also lucked out, because, the Dealership had a free Bar-B-Q , on the Saturday I brought my vehicle in for service, so, I had a delicious lunch, as I waited for my vehicle. Had not purchased a new cay in 16 years. This was the best new car buying experience we have ever had. No undue pressure, answered all of our questions and since they did not have the exact model we wanted in stock, they found one and were able to have it delivered the next day. Very fair pricing policy and easy negotiation on the value of our trade in. I would highly recommend this dealership and in particular, our sales representative, Kelly Milburn. A real professional. When I have to replace my truck, I know where I am going and who I am asking for.

This is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. They take care of their customers in ways other dealers only dream about. We purchased a car and found problems with it that we didn't want to deal with. They offered to do whatever we wanted including giving us our old car back and refunding our complete down payment. There was no hassle, no special looks or anything else that would have made us uncomfortable.The owner, the sales manager and the salesman, Steve, were just over and above what I was used to and what I was expecting when I returned the car.If you buy a car, buy it from these folks. All the folks we dealt with were excellent. We have always had pickups but now needed car to tow behind our RV. Not many dealers will go to trouble to look in the owner's manual but they did, even the young lady at the phones. Drove from Eugene, we took care of necessary steps through USAA Buying Service, all done in great manner. We can't say enough about Ted, answered all our questions,verified all answers, knew his products. The price was the best in Oregon and we checked. Our Honda CRV is great. We live in Grants Pass, but we ended up buying our new Camry at Coos Bay Toyota. We searched all over Oregon and Coos Bay Toyota had the best price by far on a car in stock that was exactly what we wanted. Not only that, but every person we dealt with by e-mail, phone, or when we arrived at the dealership was totally helpful and friendly.It's a 270 mile round trip from our home to Coos Bay, but the price we got made it worthwhile. We were a little concerned that, when we got there, they might jack up the price with add-ons like so many dealerships do. But, not only was the car delivered at the price quoted, but everybody we met at the dealership was straightforward, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience., I got a real sense of integrity and a customer-focused vision from the top down. The owner came out to greet us, they gave us a free lunch at their excellent on-site cafe, and even the two dogs were happy to see us! I've never had such a pleasant experience at a car dealership. Coos Bay Toyota is a great place to buy a car!

I had the RAV4 in mind already and really liked the new Corolla's so he let me take my time and test drive both vehicles and think before deciding on my RAV4. The atmosphere and the little cafe were awesome too. To be able to grab something to eat and talk, made it much easier to think and make a decision. I was so impressed with this dealership. I was met by Alan and he took me to several vehicles to look out. He was personable and a great customer service salesman. I just dropped in, o he had an appointment that came in and he introduced me to Zach and was very comfortable from the git go with Zach. When I explained my situation adn what I needed to do, Zach understood the need, my trade and what I needed to drive. He was knowledgeable about the process. More than anything, he wanted me to be happy with whatever my choice was. I have had spinal reconstruction surgery following a catastrophic horseback riding accident and the seat was one of the most important things to me. When Zach heard this, he immediately steered me towards the Buick LeSabre, because of its comfortableness. This car in its day was the top of the line, and with one owner and the obvious care, it was like getting a new car. This model is perfect for me. When I am ready to buy another vehicle when my ducks are in a row, Coos Bay Toyota is where I will come to. I have never experienced such great customer service from both Zach and Alan. I do not know the name of the gentleman working the figures, but he gave a little and I gave little and we had a match that was perfect all the way around I recommend Coos Bay Toyota to anyone looking for a used or new vehicle.... 5 gold stars and three snaps up for this staff and dealership

After going to three other dealerships and test driving numerous cars, we just couldn't seem to get the type of vehicle we wanted for the price we wanted to pay till we went to Coos Bay Toyota. The customer service was great we were greeted by Caitlin, and our salesman was Steve he answered all of our questions, wasn't pushy and the staff was able to get us in the car we wanted at a fair price. All of the staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. Also we made a couple of new furry friends too. I would recommend to anyone looking for a car to pay them a visit, you wont be disappointed.

I've always had my reserve when it comes to dealers. Because nine out of ten are horrible, just like contractors. Very, very difficult to find one that sees what you want and is willing to go the extra mile to help you get what you so desperately want. I just so happen to fall in the hands of Ted Noble. He's unlike any other salesman you'll meet. He went above and beyond week after week, to help me find a vehicle that fits in my budget, with what I could put down for a DP. Not only that, he, got me into a credit union, so all these upcoming years of paying, will help my credit immensely. He took the time to explain to me everything and put it all in a manner that i could grasp and take in. He just didn't throw in big fancy words. Also he got my into what I wanted, he looked all over the States it seemed. I couldn't have been more satisfied. He kept me updated daily on progress, and so on! I would highly recommend him and I wanted to give a big thanks to Glen and Amanda as well for staying late after hours to make all this possible. Those three rolled the dice and gave me a chance to prove that I can be reliable, responsible and make my payments. I made three new friends truly, I feel like I can ask them for anything, even outside Toyota. Ill continue to go back to them. To think, I was hesitant, but I took a risk and stepped through the door. Ted was there to shake my hand and carry it on with a smile. Our family travels to Bandon each year to spend a week with my brother, Ralph. This year, I noticed that my car was due for a service. Rather than go to an oil change facility in Bandon, I decided to come to Coos Bay Toyota. The gentleman (who greeted me in the Service Dept), the mechanic (who worked on my car) and the service adviser (who handed me my keys and offered to explain exactly what was done to my car) were polite, communicative and friendly. We have owned five different Toyotas and have been long time customers of Toyota, both in purchasing and utilizing the service departments for work on our vehicles. Some time ago I went into the dealership for service. Unfortunately, one of the technicians overinflated a tire on my vehicle causing damage to the tire. Because of the damage, I would have been looking at replacing all four tires on my truck at a very considerable price to me out of pocket. I brought my vehicle back into Coos Bay Toyota and told Jerry Davis the service manager about the issue. Jerry then proceeded to do something that you just don't see too much of anymore; he took responsibility and was accountable for the situation. Jerry replaced all four tires with brand new tires that were original to the vehicle at no charge to me. The service I received that day was absolutely top drawer and could serve as a benchmark for other dealerships and businesses that provide like services. Ted Noble was the reason we bought our new Highlander from Coos Bay Toyota. We didn't need to be convinced of the awesome qualities of the vehicle as we had put over 230,000 miles on our old Highlander! Summer was our first contact with this dealership. It was how she handled the phone inquiry that encouraged our 150 mile trip to view a 2014 Tacoma. Low key but knowledgeable. Everyone we encountered at Coos Bay Toyota & 101 Budget Auto Sales were terrific! From the very welcoming and highly efficient greeter at the dealership main entrance (my apologies for not recalling her name but she was very nice to us), to Melodee, Zach and Wayne at 101 Budget that helped us find a reliable vehicle that met our needs at a price we could afford, and even Alison Hatten at the cafe, everybody was professional, easy to work with and made our entire experience a very positive one. In addition, Melodee, Zach and Wayne really went out out of their way to help us and were willing to take as long as necessary (over several days!) to see that they could find a good vehicle for our needs. I think that Zach even came in on his day off to help and Melodee was an absolute jewel! We were never pressured and will most definitely recommend both 101 Budget & Coos Bay Toyota to everyone we know. We were also highly impressed with the remodel including the idea to include a cafe (a big help when needing to spend time at a dealership and the food was delicious, we ate there twice) and the dogs were a very nice touch, too. The whole atmosphere was outstanding! Your dealership is the best we have ever seen and as my wife and I are getting up in years, we have a lot of car buying experience over the decades to draw on and to compare your business with. Went to CB Toyota on Friday to get my oil changed and software recall update. They wanted me to do a $380 service (30k miles) and I told them that was ridiculous; just change my oil and do the software upgrade. They didn't get to my car until 45 minutes after my 8:30 appointment time. They still weren't done with my car 2 hours later. I'd heard that you can get crappy service if you don't buy their expensive service plans and just want the basics. Plus, they were in no hurry to do the recall service either. How unprofessional; I won't be going back any time soon.

Coos Bay Toyota made buying a new car a breeze! I used the CostCo auto buying program and received an call from Bambi minutes after filling out my information online. She then emailed me the CostCo price for the 2014 Toyota RAV4 I was interested in. The next day I came in to check out the cars and was greeted at the door, there was even a sign up welcoming me. I was introduced to the salesman, Don Carter, who showed me many cars on the lot, explained the various features of each, took me on test drives and answered all my questions. Rick quickly assessed my trade in and I was given a Kelley Blue Book trade in offer, there were no surprises or pressure. They found a car that had the colors and features I wanted, told me they could have it there by Monday, two days later, and it was. I was treated kindly and respectfully, and all my needs were met. I was a skeptical buyer as in years past buying a car was very stressful. I enjoyed this car buying experience thanks to Don Carter, for being honest, making sure I was happy with my choice and for going above and beyond by presenting me with a flash drive with 3000 songs on it he had made just for me to listen to in my new car! Thanks also to the rest of the team for their efficient job.

I had a great experience buying my Toyota Corolla. I had previously owned a 1998 Toyota Corolla that I traded in for a different vehicle a few years ago. I went in to the Toyota dealership hoping to find another Corolla, but it needed to be a manual transmission. The staff were all very helpful in searching for a model that was equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. I am thrilled with my new vehicle. Around August 3rd I had the pleasure of purchasing/leasing a new Prius from Coos Bay Toyota with help from Ted Noble and Glen Arnsperger. And, much like my previous 18 other Toyota or Lexus purchase experiences, I was thrilled. Actually you and I met during that time. I was introduced to you by your GSM as a retired Toyota/Lexus Fixed Operations guy. Maybe you'll remember. Today I had my 5000 mile service done and was helped by Paul Mecca who checked me in and sent my car off for inspection. Jerry Davis and I chatted for a bit, about those things that only Service Directors talk about, and I went to sit with Ted to eat my hamburger I ordered from the Cafe. Point of info: my car was completed before I finished my meal. Even though we're not in a metro hub where people are running like crazy to get things done, my time is THAT valuable to me as well. I would appreciate it if you would please go to Jerry and Paul and thank them for me. Or maybe you could share this with your Associates. I know in the past mine would have loved to see these notes. I ran the Service Department at Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa for 11 years, a 13 year President's Award Winner and Freeman Lexus which spent 8 years at #1 in the Western Area for CSI and #1 in the USA 1998, the year I left to go run Lexus of Beverly Hills. The reason I mention these facts is this...... I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE between GREAT customer service and those who are just going through the motions. This is the first ever de3alership I have gone into with a restaurant for customer. They call it the Smiling Dog Cafe and you can bring your dog, ha. The entire buying experience was great from the very first contact. Everything was done over the telephone and email. When I arrived a very nice young woman, I think here name is Tara, greeted me, my name was on the welcome board, my new Tacoma was clean and ready, we did the paperwork in under and hour. AND a got a free lunch. Great Pannini and home made clam chowder. I would recommend Coos Bay Toyota to anyone.

I brought in my used Tacoma truck (which I had purchased used from CBT) for a service and because I had experienced a minor backfire issue and rough idle when it was started when cold. I originally dealt with Jerry the service manager. They were not able to determine the cause. I decided to leave the truck overnight so the problem could be diagnosed when the engine was cold. I was not provided with a loner and had to rent a vehicle so I could get home. I had also experienced problems with the vehicles transmission from the first day I bought it. The problem was that the manual five speed would shift harshly and at times was difficult to get into gear. I researched the issue on the internet and found a lot of Tacoma owners were having the same issues. I had a lighter weight transmission fluid put in the transmission which helped the problem. The next day when I returned to pick up my truck I was told that they could not find any faults with the truck after it had been scoped and cold started. I was very frustrated and a little bit angry. I was not upset with the staff or with Jerry just tired of dealing with the issues with the truck. So I spoke with Steve (who had sold me my Tacoma) and decided upon a used Corolla with an automatic transmission. Although I was not in a position to deal, Steve was able to get me into the Corolla with minimal issues and with a payment I was comfortable with, after trading in my truck. Steve was very nice and was always professional. I like the dealership and its employees and I have recommended the dealership to others. I will continue to do business with this dealership.

The customer service at Coos Bay Toyota was friendly from the first greeting. There was never pressure. Kelly answered all of my questions and took me on the test drive. I had loved the car the minute I saw it, no poker face here. We went through the paperwork quite quickly and I drove it "off the showroom floor." I can't say too much about the price because I didn't compare with other dealers. I knew what I wanted and I knew where I wanted to get it. Kelly did help me get the payment where I wanted it, so I am very happy!

The Coos Bay service is the best. The office staff is very friendly; they always remember my name. The technicians do top work. Service Manager, Jerry Davis, really puts the customer first. I had a door rattle problem and Jerry even brought in the Toyota Service Rep to get it solved. Jerry goes above and beyond the call of duty to make things right. There is risk in buying a vehicle from a foreign entity, but Kelly worked to find answers to all my questions and allay all my concerns. I found my experience with Ted Noble to be one of the best I have ever encountered in shopping for a new car. He was very forthright and very honest in answering my questions. No pressure and didn't try to negoiate my asking price on the vehicle I was trading in. He simply said I'll take it to my boss and see what he says. As it turn out my price was met and the price on my new Prius was very fair and competitive with other Toyota dealers in the area.

Did as much as possible via the internet with Bambi (we live 30 miles away, so loved this feature) and dealt with Izzy when we visited the dealership. Izzy worked with us on pricing and trade in. The car we ended up buying previously was the owner, Lee Hawthorne's, car and it was in excellent condition and he made it available any time we came to drive and check it out. From the person who answers the phone on down the line, customer service is priority #1 and it is very evident. We have used the service department for years with our old Toyotas and they have always done a great job. When you buy a car from CB Toyota you get free car washes whenever you want which was an added bonus. Lee met us and showed us around the new remodeling they are doing to the showroom and when it is done, it will be undoubtedly the nicest dealership in Oregon. Izzy was very easy to work with, no pressure, fair on the trade in price, very friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend them and buy from them again.

Purchased new PriusV at no discount. In first week realized that in full sun, car has dangerous reflection on windshield from inside. Very distracting. I found same complaint on several websites about Prius windshield. Our calls to dealership were not returned promptly or even on same day. When I finally got through they denied ever hearing about this being a problem in a Prius. Then told me that it is part of car and only thing they would offer was to sell me a mat for dashboard- wouldn't cover cost. They didn't offer to even look at the vehicle to determine if this was an anomaly. I'm over 2 hours away from dealer and will make one more try to stop there when its convenient for me to demand they at least look at the problem. I other wise like the car and if I have to spend a dime to solve the problem it will be with any dealer other than this one. Be carfeful when checking out a Prius V and I'd steer clear of this dealer.

My experience was AWESOME!! Bambi responded to my email immediately. Gave me instructions to everything that I needed to know. Online applications are the only way to go. I was looking for a preowned Rav4 when I first contacted the dealership online. They had 2 that were in my price range. When I got there I was also shown a new Rav that wasn't to much higher. I drove 2 & an half hour to purchase a vehicle that I had already agreed on in terms of price & financing. Went into the dealership to sign paperwork & the staff kept referring me to other staff members other than the one I had originally dealt with. Changed my interest rate & made it higher after telling my I qualify for a lower interest rate. I walked out after waiting to 2 whole months for this special order vehicle. I was able to tell Bambi what i was looking for and she was able to get exactly what i wanted and was always prompt with answers to my questions. I had no intentions of buying online but Bambi made it so easy and effortless. When i arrived to pick up my truck on the lot Kelly was very helpful and courteous. He show me how everything worked and answer all my questions. The time I spent on paperwork was minimal, thanks to Bambi I was able to give most of what they needed online. I went through the Costco.com/autosaver program. Bambi was absolutely wonderful with locating the vehicle and at the price I wanted. The process went so smoothly from the time I started online, the telephone calls, emails, and finally meeting to pick up my new 2012 Corolla. It was Izzy's first week there and had he not appologized for going slow I would not have known as slow is not what I would have called it. Since I did the online credit application then when I was passed on to the Finance Manager (sorry I forgot his name), all I had to do was sign the papers as he printed them out.

The quality of the customer service and the excellence of the actual servicing of the car makes the four hour round trip worth it. We own a 2004 Prius and knew eventually we would purchase another one. While the 2004 was being serviced in November I discussed the 2011 with Rick and Steve. They didn't have the one I want on the lot, but found one some miles away. Steve carefully explained in detail the differences between the 2004 (we have the top of the line) and the 2011 (Prius IV). We were considering a 2011, but were leaning toward waiting until 2012. I researched the car and dealerships extensively online. I knew what the dealer paid for the car and the accessories. However, at that time I was not aware of "online buying". I started the process, but continue to research other dealers. I emailed and talked with Sherrie and Bambi many times for several weeks. As with most people I have had bad experiences with dealers. This experience was like none other. Everything I was told was true (I verified everything). I knew the true dealer cost for the car and was more than satisfied with my cost. This dealership also throws in an extended warrant if you do all of your service at their shop. They offer unlimited car washes. The new car had a full tank of gas (they take care of you). We purchased the car from Steve. This guy is Mister Personality and Mister Prius. He "knows" the Prius. That was impressive, but more than that he sincerely wants you to enjoy the car. He wants us to be happy with our purchase. He also made it very clear that he wants us to call him with operational questions concerning this high tech 2011 Prius. We could not arrive to pick up the car until 5:00pm. Sherrie, Bambi, Steve, Robert, and Jerry (the latter dealing with our 2004) stayed late to service us. Robert the financial wiz was thorough, professional, personable, and eager to answer any questions. Steve, at 8:00pm in the rain changed our license plates and went over the operation of the car in detail. Purchasing a car is no longer a nightmare, at least not at this dealership. Every single person we have come in contact with and that includes receptionists in service: Meagan, Shannon, Jerry, and those I already mentioned want your experience with them to be positive. If you are going to purchase a Toyota, this is the place!!!!!

From the ladies at the front desk to the parts department (thanks Mike) to the work by the service department I encountered high standards, promptness and attention to detail all in a friendly, clean, orderly atmosphere (even the ladies room was clean and cheerful). I was especially impressed with Jerry the Service Dept Manager and the way he conducts his operation. The shop is busy and well-ordered - (no cursing - no sense of carelessness) and Jerry just feels like a wise, caring friend. The worked I required was done - plus they mounted my new license plates and returned the car nicely WASHED with no fanfare for their efforts. Jerry indicated;that's just what we do and our boss sets the tone for the overall business, I spoke with Mr. Hawthorne the owner and again was impressed with the quiet commitment to respectful service to the customer. The combination of courtesy, focus and modesty inspired my trust. Long story short we rolled our Toyota Tacoma and totaled it. We like to shop online and Barbi was one of the dealers who contacted us. After we told her what we wanted and they were unable to find it she told us to give her a day. The next day she managed to make a deal to get the truck I wanted and the price was cheaper then the other guys. Once we got to Coos Bay it was a great experience. Very friendly and they didn't try and push a bunch of extras onto us. Went over all the information that we needed to know and got us out of there as fast as they could. While we were talking I was able to play fetch with one of the dogs there and they had a bbq goin' out front. I would totally recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle.

The service was superb in every way. I appreciated the dealer going out of his way to get the exact product that I had in mind. In addition, I particularly appreciated a Portland airport delivery, which required two employees to make an 8-hour round trip, including an overnight motel stay. The paper work was handled in an expedicious manner, and answers to follow-up questions have been timely and helpful. To my knowledge, there was no better purchase price. I recently purchased a new 2011 Prius. From the moment I went on the lot (with my nephew who was looking at trucks) I liked the place. No pressure from the sales people. I told them what I was interested in-which there was NOT one on the lot-they found what I wanted in an hour. The price they gave me on my trade in and the price of the Prius were all in line with the research I had done on the internet.At drive off, I got a walk through of the car and they even helped me with transferring stuff out of my trade in.I did purchase the extended warranty and the finance guy was really great to work with.I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, even if you had to travel some distance to get there. This is a copy of the thank-you email I sent to Coos Bay Toyota:Thank you, especially Lee, Bambi, Mike, Rob, (and Gracie the Cupcake Corgi) for all that you did to get for me the Sandy Beach RAV4 that I requested. After a week of having the car I am very pleased with it. Your rather relaxed and laid-back method for sales is much appreciated, especially since I strongly resist heavy sales pressure, and I feel that we got a reasonably good deal. I liked the facts that Lee charged his cost for the accessories rather than MSRP and gave a generous discount also from MSRP for the RAV4 itself. Your best price is given upfront, eliminating the need to haggle. Mike essentially let the car sell itself and tailored the test drive to my own needs. After driving a manual shift for all of my life getting used to an automatic gearbox is taking some time, but it is a good one with smooth shifts and the tach in 5th showing only about 1750 RPMs at 55 mph. The V6 purrs effortlessly like a contented kitten and the handling is great. Thank you also for your quick and thorough followup to my subsequent questions. We know where to come for our car needs!

The whole truck buying experience was going well, salesman was great, until I reached their finance manager. He asked where I wanted to finance the loan, and I replied at Northwest Community Credit Union. He asked if Toyota could beat their interest rate would I be interested. I said yes. He said that using Toyota would provide the best interest rate over the NW Community Credit Union, so I said go ahead and use them, putting my trust in this person to tell me the truth. A couple of weeks later I got a call from Wells Fargo Bank to inform me they were holding the loan on my recently bought truck from Coos Bay Toyota. After a call to NW Community Credit Union, I found out their interest rate would have beat what Wells Fargo Bank was giving us.The finance manager at Coos Bay Toyota was willing to be dishonest, I guess to receive whatever kickback they receive from Wells Fargo Bank for sending loans their way.I contacted the General Manager of Coos Bay Toyota, Mr. Forte, by phone and explained the situation. He said he would talk to the finance manager and get his side of the story. That was over two months ago and I haven't received the courtesy of a reply or follow-up from Mr. Forte.

When deciding I was going to purchase a truck, I started several years before actually buying. I did research, because I like knowing everything there is to know about the truck, and knowing more than the sales people when it comes to test driving. I decided on a Toyota Tundra with select features that I decided I wasn't going to live without. My wife and I test drove the Tundra's up near Portland and decided we liked them, so now it was a matter of waiting for the good incentives. The good incentives started popping up this fall, so I started working with a dealership (not Coos Bay) told them what I wanted, they located a few in the Northwest region and said they would dealer trade. We agreed on a price, I sold my car...and then the trouble began. The "few" Tundra's that met my specifications were all either sold, or at dealerships that were not willing to do dealer trades. I even contacted those dealerships, but was unable to negotiate a decent price, or was unwilling to fly to the dealership only to drive home and put many many miles on a brand new truck. That's when Lee with Coos Bay Toyota swooped in out of the blue much like a super hero. Lee emailed me and explained that he's semi-retired, and just likes helping people find the vehicle of their dreams. At this point I was irritated with the whole process due to bad luck over and over but I thought I'd give it a try. So I told Lee the exact truck I was looking for, with the options that I want, in the color I wanted. He sent me back an email with the cost and an approximate timeline to order the truck. He was able to get the truck about a month faster than the other dealerships due to contacts he's acquired over the years in the business. My only option at this point was to order a truck, because there weren't any out there in the exact color with the options that I wanted. The prior dealership told me they could have the truck here in 2-3 months, Lee said he could cut at least a month off that time, and was very "no pressure" compared to the other dealership. I decided to go with Lee and Coos Bay Toyota, so in mid October I put a deposit down on a new 2011 Tundra Limited. Between the day my wife and I ordered the truck until it's arrival, I probably have 100 emails back and forth between myself, Lee, and Bambi & Melinda. Most of them because I was so excited about the status of the truck, that I had to email almost every day checking up on it. However, even if I hadn't, they did a great job letting me know how the truck was progressing along. I knew the day my truck was "born" the day it was loaded on the train, where the train was, and when it arrived at the distribution center. The truck was delayed due to winter weather and holiday's which also turned out to be a blessing, because the incentives improved in December, and I was able to do a zero percent loan instead of 0.9%. Lee was able to get the truck here a month or so before the other dealer as he promised, he also promised that if incentives changed for the better, those incentives would be mine...if they changed for the worse, I would still be locked in with the incentives that was available at the time I initially wanted to buy the truck. The other dealership could not, or would not give me such a guarantee. Lee and Coos Bay Toyota did. I would say 90% of everything was done via email, which is how I prefer. If you prefer to talk on the phone, I'm sure 90% could be done that way, the thing I'm getting at here is the people at Coos Bay Toyota do things they way YOU the customer want to do them. They answered any and all questions my wife and I had. Were we nervous...at first yes, because buying a vehicle and putting down a deposit is a little scary. But they were so great in every aspect of this deal, that my nerves were at ease. I had the VIN emailed to me once the truck was built, and they called me the day it arrived in Coos Bay. My wife and I went over the next day (since we were both at work the day it arrived) and signed all the papers, and were in and out in about an hour. Easiest way to buy a vehicle EVER! She is thinking of getting a Toyota for her next vehicle...we already know where we're going to buy from! It's hard to find the words to express how great Lee, Bambi, Melinda and Kelly all were to work with. Which is why I'm writing this lengthy review, because for all they did to make this purchase easy, fun and exciting for me, the least I can do is try to get someone out there reading these reviews to realize that this IS the place to buy your Toyota! If they don't have it on the lot, let them get it for you!! I have been telling everyone I know about my positive experience and urging them to give Coos Bay Toyota a call when they're in the market for a new vehicle. I'm very glad that Lee swooped in and snagged my business...I'd still be waiting for a truck right now!!! Last thing...I'm one of those people that used to view car dealerships as "the enemy" you know...the kind of person that cruises the lots after they close so that the "sharks" can't chase me down. Car salesmen drove both my wife and I crazy. We don't trust them, etc. You know what I'm talking about. Let me be perfectly clear, we never had those feelings with Coos Bay Toyota. It felt more like friends of ours pulling strings to get exactly what we wanted at a great price and faster than anyone else could get it here. That's how I feel. I never felt like I was "being sold" on something, no one ever tried to "trick" me into buying additional warranties, clear coats, glass etch'd VIN's etc. (Yeah, we've seen it all). It was like going to pick up our new truck from a friend's house...we signed some papers, chatted a bit, took some pictures, and promised to stop in the next time we're in town! It was that easy!Coos Bay Toyota and the staff there truly is a class above all the rest! Thank you all for the great job you did! We will be back to buy our next vehicle!!

We have purchased quite a few vehicles in our lifetimes so far and this was the most pleasant experience of all. And we have had pleasant experiences before. No hassling, no badgering,no bait and switch, just honest people selling marvelous vehicles at honest prices. We couldn't be happier. If we could ratecthem above 10, we would. We bought a new 2011 Sienna from Coos Bay Toyota and would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. They delivered a great vehicle and their friendliness and customer service was fantastic. We drove to Coos Bay (over 2 hours) to get the Sienna, and was well worth it. Give them a chance to help you with your new car purchase. The owner, Lee, is a man of integrity. If Lee says he will do it, he is a man of his word. This is a rare thing in this day and age. Most dealerships are all about the money, Lee is about the customer.

Working through the process of buying a new car can be a real pain. Lee and Mike made buying a new vehicle about as simple and straight forward as can be done. We were in and out in less than two hours. They build a rapport with the customer, are sincere and follow through.While I asked for a bid on a 2010 4Runner, Lee gave us a competitive bid on the 2011, which we later accepted. They are not about frills and glitz, just selling a good product. The price was as good or better than the bids on the 2010, which is late in the model year.Thanks Lee

Isn`t strange - I never been at Coos Bay Toyota dealership but I bought a new Toyota Venza from them. My online research was hard and picky. I got a four personalized quotes from Toyota dealerships around the area. No-one else gave us so good saving - about $60 on payments compare to the best offers of others. My wife and I really appreciate Lee Hawthorne`s business for hassle free deal with simple paper procedure and 180 miles car delivery directly to my house. I would recommend Coos Bay Toyota to anyone who wants to get at least a honest and flexibility.

My wife and I recently moved to Coos Bay, Oregon from San Diego, California. We drove up in an older Toyota Camry. Once we were settled we decided to purchase a new RAV4. Checked around via the internet and compared prices and dealer's responses. Decided to speak with Coos Bay Toyota. Met and made a deal with the owner Lee and was helped by Steve. After our purchase Steve introduced us to the Service Manager Jerry and the Parts Manager Dennis. I have purchased dozens of cars over the years and have never had this happen before.Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of follow up after our purchase. Recently we attended the New Owners Dinner (the only dealership I have seen this at) and found out that our new licence plates had arrived. Rather than have us come back and schedule an appointment, one of the service techs installed the plates on our car, at I'm sure his own time.I will have both of my Toyota's serviced here and when I'm in the market for another car, this is the first place I will go to.

I did a lot of research to find a fair, win-win price on a new, 2011 Toyota XLE Sienna mini van. This included repeatedly contacting both local (Eugene OR) dealers, and Toyota in UT, who had given my son a very good deal when he bought his 2004 Sienna. From their quoted prices It was obvious all three dealers were playing the typical game, and it was frustrating. Then, on a third visit to TrueCar.com on the internet I ran across Coos Bay Toyota's add, which quoted a price for the base 2011 XLE Sienna that was $800 less than the local price quotes (!!!!!). I called and found myself talking to one of the co-owners, Lee Hawthorne (his brother is the other owner). Mr. Hawthorne explained that he charges $650 over the dealer's invoice price PERIOD! Want some accessories, like floor mat, mud guards, and cross bars on top? He told me the list price of each, and his cost, and said he would sell them to me at HIS COST! All he wanted was the $650. He said he likes to get people into good cars at a fair price that that is one of his joys in life. In other words, he has the same win-win business philosophy as Les Schwabb tire company, which has grown by leaps in bounds by giving customers a good, fair deal. I was greatly impressed with his business philosophy or model. No game playing. None of this customers wondering how much money they left on the table. They know exactly how much he's making over invoice (sure, he may be getting more through company "hold backs." But he still tops out at $650 over dealer's invoice which TrueCar and other internet services publish. You know exactly where you stand). There were other reasons I went with Mr. Hawthorne's offer. In talking to his staff I determined that (1) they considered him an honest man; that (2) he was fair to his employees and treated them more like family than employees;and that (3) one relatively new employee who works closely with Mr. Hawthorne said that for the first time in her life she actually looks forward to going to work each day and added some other complements, such as how he treats his employees (many of them long term) as "social equals," and even that he has been married to the same woman for 40 years! (Ditto his brother to another woman of course). This week Coos Bay Toyota held a combination evening dinner/informational meeting with about 30 recent car buyers. The essence of the meeting was the company's desire to make certain that each of us new owners understood our warranty rights and what services Coos Bay Toyota was prepared to offer, many of them free (like the first oil change a $70 cost for synthetic oil). Their very knowledgeable service manager, Mr. Davis, was a fountain of good information. I discovered, for example, that my new XLE Sienna comes with premium synthetic oil as standard equipment. I also learned from Mr. Davis that the factory pre-runs ALL Toyota engines, then drains the oil (which is more likely to have microscopic metallic wear particles) and replaces it before it ever installs the engine in your new car. In summary, they have earned my trust and my business. They are to the employee service oriented and genuinely interested in helping their customers to have a good new car experience. I am not alone in my experience. My wife's eye doctor here in Eugene also bought his new 2011 Sienna Limited (top of the line) at Coos Bay Toyota and for many of the same reasons, even though it's 115 miles and over two hours one way from Eugene.
