We had a very ROCKY beginning to our Coughlin Nissan experience but MATT DILLON stepped in and took care of making this mistake on their part a positive outcome. He worked with us and we came to a satisfactory resolution. We both compromised. They met the ad amount but instead of zero down we put 1500.00 to get the the correct 369.00 before taxes. We are ok with this. They did their best to get to their figure in the ad without a major loss. Matt went well beyond what any other person would have done. He sat with us and went over every detail of the car which helped tremendously. He was great to do business with and we intend on calling upon him once we are ready to purchase a car for our daughter. Things may have started off a little rocky but they have ended with a five star rating!!

All of the staff was friendly and the overall experience was very pleasant. My new car was inspected, detailed and filled up with gas prior to leaving and we love our new 2014 Kia Forte. Our experience with Steve and Brent was one of the best we've had at a car dealership. We let Brent know beforehand our situation and what we would like to happen. Brent worked with us and was able to achieve what we had hoped for. We left very happy! We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and smooth transaction. We were never pushed or haggled and that is one thing that made this whole sale worth it. We made the decisions. We highly recommend both of these gentlemen. You won't get the shadiness or arrogance here!

I purchased a 2013 Kia Optima on Wednesday September 25, 2013. I went in for a quick test drive before work and loved the Kia Soul so much I didn't even test drive the other car I was considering. I ended up buying my Kia that day. The staff was friendly, considerate, very low pressure and made me very comfortable, despite me being incredibly nervous about buying a new car. I have less than perfect credit, but Jim found me an amazing rate, and overall I was thrilled. They even offered me a decent trade on my totally beat up, smashed (but very loved) car that I had been driving. I would absolutely be comfortable buying from them again and have recommended him to friends.

John was so helpful and polite! He really understood that I was on a tight budget but needed a reliable vehicle. When I was test driving the car (that I ended up purchasing), my dad and I felt a small shake in the car. John jumped in the car with us and immediately took it to the shop to get looked at before we went any further in the sale. It was really great that he got it checked out right then! Luckily, it only needed the tires balanced. This is the first time I've ever been to a dealer to buy a car. If I ever decide to buy another car, I'll definitely be returning to Coughlin!

Jim Miller was a pleasure to deal with. There was no pressure to buy add-ons like you often experience at other dealerships. He answered all of my questions, gave me a fair price on my VW Jetta, and was genuinely interested in the customer by asking me about my work, etc. while he processed my documents.

I searched all over Columbus for the exact Kia I wanted and no one could/would help me. I called Jim Miller and he found the Kia I wanted and had it delivered to his dealership within two days! During the purchase, I had a death in the family, but Jim gave me his cell number and volunteered to come in on Sunday when the office was closed to accommodate my schedule. I would definitely work with Jim again! Thanks!

My wife and I went on a Sunday to to look for a car for her, they were closed saw the 2012 Kia Sportage, while we were looking, Jim Miller came out and asked if he could help us, wife was looking for black on black, with a sun roof, they didn't have one on the lot but they got one for her the next day, did the paper work and took it home. Jim was very professional and we were never pressured. Few months later I was looking for a truck and I went to Jim to see if he could help, and he did..got me a 2006 Dodge Ram (and yeah its got a Hemi) I would recommend him to anyone. Everyone at Couglin Kia was great to work with.Thanks Jim for all the help and not only being a dealer but a friend!

The most pain free and pleasant car purchase I have ever done. I made an offer over the internet received a counter offer from Tyler and the next thing you know we had a deal. Tyler was great to work with, none of the typical run around stuff I've had to endure at other dealers and for the Prius I wanted Coughlin had a much better selection than all of the dealers in Columbus (where I live) they also had the exact color and model I wanted. Due to my work schedule I couldn't complete the deal until the following week, when I got there the car was ready for me, clean with all mats installed and fueled with a full tank not just five gallons like the last car I bought. After completing the paperwork on my trade-in Tyler installed my plates onto the new car and all that was left was the financing. There were other customers ahead of me waiting to complete their financing so I had to wait my turn, and even that was enjoyable. We were kept engaged in conversation and just generally entertained by nice people that made us feel welcome. Overall I would not hesitate to buy from Coughlin again.

Upon my better half and myself stopping at the afore said dealer to look at what usedvehicles they had to offer within a few minutes of looking Jim Miller walked out to usand asked if we had any questions about which one or ones we were interested in. Jim answered our questions without hesitation. He answered our questions in a very courteous and knowledgable and honest way. We have dealt with other salesmen over theyears that had dollar signs in their eyes and had an attitude of wanting to push usinto a decision, but not Jim he let us make a decision without being pushy. In turn we felt we didn't meet a salesman we met a friend that is dedicated to what he does.We did in fact purchase a vehicle that evening and returned the next morning andpurchased a second vehicle. I can assure you that we made our decision do to Jim andthe quality of the vehicles. Upon meeting some the other staff and their dedicationyou and they should be proud of yourselves and proud of Jim Miller. From us to you,Jim and the rest of the staff, a Hearty Pat On The Back! Jim was very laid back and knowledgable about our Rio. At no time did we feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. That helped us make the decision as to what car to buy and dealer to use. He was able to find exactly the car we wanted even though it took some hunting to find (in another state)! Overall, we had a great experience.

He was very friendly and worked with me on the price as well. He explained everything clearly to me and asnwered all of my questions. There was a delay in getting the car, due to a misunderstanding by the salesman about the clear coat film. Then the clear coat film had a bubble and had to be redone.The wait to see the finance manager was very long, even though the dealership knoew what time we would be there.Tyler was very accomodating. However, the e-mails and letters sent by Cooughlin are not at all personalized, and should be. We received this survey several days before we received our car!We are accustomed to the service we have received from Lexus. Do we need to lower our espectations with Coughlin Toyota?

My sales experience was overall friendly and courteous however I found it lacked 100% education regarding any questions I had about the vehicle. I expected the sales team member to know entirely everything about the car inside and out. The sales associate was good with following up via phone calls and tried to be helpful as much as possible before I purchased the vehicle. The dealership was laid back, but there were employees eating on the sales floor, when they shouldn't be seen in front of customers. The general manager and fiance staff were eager to help and were friendly. The fiance department aimed to meet my requirements in the end, but the paperwork was fast and pushy which resulted in my car payment not being what I was told when I went to sign on the dotted line. Finally after driving the vehicle off the lot, I noticed an unusual noise after accelerating to 30 mph. I felt the noise to be unusual given the fact it's a brand new vehicle, however I was disappointed but did not wanted to jump to conclusions. After contacting Nissan and researching online, I was informed this was a manufacture problem and basically there is no solution to fix this issue yet. I would have appreciated any insight or warning before I made my purchase. I wouldn't have minded the issue if I was informed and not felt as if I made a mistake. I am satisfied with the features on the vehicle, but I am not 100% fully satisfied with my purchase.

This review has been amended to reflect the efforts of the Coughlin management team to resolve my issues. They are written at the bottom of my original review.Overall, I am satisfied with my experience especially with my salesperson. However, I am not happy with my purchase. When I first looked at the truck I purchased, I voiced a concern about the unusually high tire tread wear compared to the number of miles on the truck. My concern was forgotten due to the unusual time it took to perform all the necessary paperwork. Before I came back to complete the paperwork, I called and voiced my concern again. I was told by the manager that this should have been addressed earlier and that he would not make any further arrangements due to the amount that was taken off the sale price and the amount that was added to my trade-in. I told them I had voiced my concern earlier and the sales person confirmed this and regardless, I thought it was horrible that I was going to have to spend a substantial amount of money putting tires on a vehicle I just purchased and payed almost $30,000 for. I made several other calls and was told to call back when a particular manager was there but I have been unable to reach anybody willing to help. I would appreciate any help I can receive on this matter.Thank you so much.Eric K. Ludwig After receiving calls from several members of the Coughlin's management team, it was obvious they were more than willing to do whatever they could to correct any problems or concerns I had with my purchase. They agreed to sell me tires at cost and then split the total bill with me. They ordered me a good quality set of tires and scheduled a time to have them installed. I feel much better now about my purchase knowing I will not have to spend a great deal of money on tires in the near future. Mike was very friendly. He answered my call when he was out of the office and even when he was home sick in bed. Charlie was very nice. He returned my calls...all of them. He answered my many questions and went above and beyond in helping me even with additions to the car that had to be done where I lived which he did not have to do.Jeremy explained all the services offered by toyota in detail. We did not understand the actual charges and the actual interest rate of our contract and he called and ask what he could do to help. He took the time to make calls and see what was needed to help us out. I was very happy with all the end results of our experience with Coughlin in Newark. I wish we lived closer so we could see how your service department is..but, living in West Virginia, that is not possible.And, it says something about the place...we drove 3 1/2 hours to do business with them. Tyler was great to work with at the Toyota store and I feel like I got a fair price. Working out the finance part with Tim took longer than it should have and I would have like to have seen more options since I had already filled out the online application and been approved the day before. However, at the end of the day, my family and I are happy with our new purchase and would recommend the dealership to anyone.

My partner (Dan) was in Newark putting flowers on his moms grave on Mothers Day. He drove through your dealership and noticed you had the Nissan Versa. I was in the market for a small car to give my son for graduation and he told me about a car you had. He also told me he had done business with you (Matt) before. I asked him to make a call for me and Matt and Andy handled my finance application for a loan. I was amazed at how nice these gentlemen were (not every woman likes dealing with salesman, especially car salesman) and how pleasent the whole experience was. I felt comfortable at the dealership and Andy was nice to talk to and work with. I also want to thank him for showing me everything on paper prior to going into the finance department. He made everything so easy and was always in touch right away whenever I had a question. Bought my first new Toyota from Matt Dillon about 4 years ago. I have known Matt for quite sometime and have known him to be a very honest person. Mat was, as usual, friendly during our transaction and if it may be said downright humorous. Matt ordered and quickly got me the car I desired at the price we agreed upon. He worked very hard and succeeded in getting me the trade amount for my car and worked to get me an extended warranty at a fair price. I will certainly contact him for any future purchases.
