Hamid Farahani REALLY took care of us!! He was a pleasure to deal with and made buying my son his first car a WONDERFUL experience. No haggling. Lots of enthusiasm and he delivered everything he said he would. Even got him to throw in a large bow to put on the car to make it the ultimate gift for our son. It was such a little gesture in the grand scheme of things, but it was the perfect, classy touch to make sure we were satisfied in every way possible. From the test drive to signing the final papers, this was by far the best car buying experience I have had. Negotiation was minimal and honest. I think it ended up being, or at least feeling like a win/win. No push on after sales items. The one draw back is Subaru's Share the Love Campaign. I think it is a good idea, but frankly it is misplaced in the middle of the buying process - a time when most car buyers are on guard against an up-sell or other gimmick. So it loses its appeal. Perhaps better to have that as an after sales event, emailed to the person who bought the car.

Buying a car can be stressful but this dealership takes the stress out. No pressure, helpful, knowledgeable, patient, clean, and really great cars. An absolute contrast to every other experience we had. Start to finish they made it a breeze. I was actually really cranky by the time we got here as it was one of our last stops of the weekend of car shopping, and I'm anxious, OCD, and really really picky. Our sales guy made me feel quite comfortable and spent a lot of time working with us without any pressure just helpfulness and a real pleasant attitude. It is worth the drive even if this isn't the closest dealership you're looking at, as I have also been to others within 30 miles and they don't compare as far as service and staff. All departments we dealt with were really really pleasant and professional. Highly recommend!

When I purchased my 2016 Subaru Forester there was a major problem with the underside of the car. It was rusted and contained evidence of having been in a flood zone somewhere. I did not notice the bottom of the car until about 2 weeks after my purchase. I had difficulty understanding how the car even passed their inspection and was able to be sold. It was a Brand New car! The Manager, Avrom investigated the incident and after a few weeks resolved the problem by taking back the "rusted" car and replaced the car with another brand new 2016 Subaru Forester. I consider him to be a very "stand up guy" who came through with the correct answer. Both he and my salesman, Mounir were very concerned and helpful in resolving my problem. The entire experience which was initally very stressful turned out to be satisfying. The car is great and I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Dan Perkins Subaru and my salesman Mounir.

Both were honest and explained the entire process to me with no surprises. Gabe was able to find a WRX exactly the way that I wanted it for a fair price in less than a week. I was thrilled to be back in another Subaru. The day I picked up my car I arrived at the dealer, signed a few forms and was out the door in my new car before I knew it. I started with Mounir looking for new Subarus but when they didn't have exactly what I wanted I wandered to the used lot. I drove one that I loved and after some negotiation, ended up with that one. There were some slow points in the process but Mounir and the service group made sure I was taken care of before I left. I received service the way it should be. It was obvious they wanted me to have a good experience because they went out of their way several times to do what was right. I will say there were a few communication issues, so make sure you stay vocal to get what you're looking for and if they're busy, even more so.

Wow! Not a car dealership fan. But, every part of our experience at Dan Perkins Subaru was truly pleasant and easy. No haggling, no over the top sales folks, or long waits for no reason. To start, we dealt with Regina Golden who was our salesperson. We leased an Impreza from her. She was incredibly helpful, sweet and patient with all of our concerns and questions. She walked us through every step of the process and was great every step of the way. We then worked with Nick in Finance to set the terms and sign the contracts. He was straight forward and kind. We then finished with Gabe who walked us through the final points like service and warranty coverage. Warm, honest group of people. Totally impressed. We even had our three young kids with us - they all had so much fun and loved the food spread and toys. I'll sum it up this way, as we loaded into our new Impreza, our 6 year old son asked to go back and play there soon. We couldn't have agreed more.

I walked into the dealership not expecting much. They called a salesman to greet and work with me, Hamid Farahani. When he came over I thought how much can he know he's so young, not seasoned. Boy was I wrong. He started speaking with me asking what I was looking for. He gave me the pros and cons of my choices. He was extremely knowledgeable about his products and made me feel relaxed and confident with the decision I finally made. He worked tirelessly to get the car I wanted within the time frame I was looking at. Hamid even worked with me on his day off. (unheard of). Was in the market for an all wheel drive vehicle and was shopping the local dealerships. While attempting to sneak around the lot at Dan Perkins I was approached by Bob O. He was very outgoing and did all he could to get me the vehicle I wanted at a price I was comfortable with. I came in on a Sunday and they had the exact car on site and had it ready on Tuesday. No waiting game locating and delivering a vehicle, no hassle paperwork, and was in and out picking up the vehicle. I am a local business owner and take customer service very serious and from Bob to the rest of the staff I met, everyone was great. I found that this dealership was second to none. I had been to two dealerships prior to this one and I find that this Dan Perkins dealership is far superior. The salesperson, Regina, was very tuned into my vehicle needs. She was very detailed in explaining all the advantages of buying a Subaru. Moreover, I was treated with respect and not pressured. I am a type of person that gets turned off by high pressure, but I didn't find that here. She also touched all bases from showing me where the service department was, showing me where all the buttons were in the car, and various features of the car. At other dealerships the salesperson didn't go through all this with me. They just tried to high pressure me into a higher price. I feel that at Dan Perkins Subaru I was treated with respect and courtesy. I found the inside of the building accomodating and one of the female staffers offered my wife a cup of tea and was very friendly. I found the process of buying a car here went smoothly and I am a satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and relatives. The sales manager, Avrom, took a lot of his time to show me safety and performance features of the Subaru Legacy that I bought. This was definitely a different kind of car buying experience for me. All I can say is thank you for a great car (the Legacy) and for the way I was treated.

Mounir Jouhrani gave me an exceptional sales experience. It was not like any used car sales experience I have had before. He used no coercion, no "buy it now or it will be gone" kind of pressure (even though I knew that another lady was looking at the same car). When the keys could not be located for the car I was looking at, he had me test drive a similar car and allowed me to decide what I wanted without pushing the advantages of the higher priced car. He made me, and my friend who accompanied me, feel like we were partners in my car buying decision rather than him being a pushy authority figure. Mounir was a delight to deal with and I would highly recommend this buying experience to others. Also George, the store manager, was wonderful, engaging and made the whole purchase a smooth experience (in the past I have felt extreme anxiety when buying a car). I am recommending this dealership to everyone I talk to!

I went to Dan Perkins Subaru to originally purchase a fairly new but used Subaru. I had one picked out and ready to purchase . However, when my husband saw that the dealership had zero percent financing on new vehicles, we asked the business manager if it was alright to see what the difference between the used and new financing would be . He said " We're hear the make you happy with your purchase!" So, we went with a new vehicle! Car buying is even worse that going to the dentist in my opinion. But working with Mounir was a pleasure. Even though we went on the Memorial day weekend, he took us for a test drive in a new Forrester, had answers to all our questions and was quick to respond to our phone messages when we decided on the car. As always during the Finance portion of the sale, they try to upsell on all the extended warranties and add ons but after I gave a clear NO, they did not continue to try and pressure me on those. Now if my wife will ever let me drive it...

They both were very pleasant to work with and both were able to meet my needs 100%. The purchase of my 16' WRX was very low pressure. I was not constantly being called or bothered to come in to buy the car. The dealer understood I wanted to buy when I wanted to. George gave me some tips during the financial process, and he did not sell me additional add-on products that he felt I did not need. He was very understanding and provided helpful advice.

I needed to have my 2008 Subaru Outback fixed to "top notch" condition so that I could give it to my daughter who is a student at a local university. I needed to do this as soon as possible and buy a new car for me who commutes long distances each day. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Dave Ortiz in service who worked endlessly and timely on my car to fix everything. Most importantly, Dave facilitated the replacement of the recalled Takata air bag in my 2008 Subaru. Long wait times are noted across the US. In record time, I was able to give my old car to my daughter after buying a new Subaru Forester XT from Kevin Puzzo who worked extremely efficiently with me on its purchase. Kevin was so great. He really cared whether I was making the right selection of the XT. The test drive was a blast! Financing was very good. As a new owner of a 2016 Subaru wrx I am overall pleased with my experience. I was looking for a very specific car for a few weeks. After being promised a car at another location, putting a deposit down, and having the car being sold, I ended up at Dan Perkins Subaru for my final stop. Initially that was my first stop, where I was met by a sales man, who I asked to show me the Impreza and wrx. He proceeded to get my to test drive the Impreza, however was on his phone most of the time. When asked to see the wrx he showed me one and didn't bother to get the key or show me the inside, still remaining on his phone. He did not give me any extra information or tips to decide between the two cars. He didn't offer me the option to get the exact vehicle I wanted from another dealership. I left that day unsatisfied. That's where I finally called back asking about inventory and met Bob. He told me exactly what I wanted to hear: that id be driving the car I wanted within a week. He kept his promise and did everything he could to get me what I wanted. He broke down each option I could play out and helped my overall decision. He kept me updated with all the paperwork that would need to be completed and explained everything in terms I could understand, and MADE SURE I understood them. I didn't feel rushed, and I feel like I made a great purchase. More so I fee extremely comfortable calling for any issue if it may arise and look forward to continuing my relationship with them. Don't go anywhere else except Dan Perkins and make sure to see Bob!

After extensive online research, my husband and I went into Dan Perkins Subaru knowing exactly what we wanted and at what price--and that's exactly what we came out with. Although they did not have the exact car on the lot the day we visited, we were able to test drive something comparable, and then the sales rep sat down with us and custom ordered our car. During the 6-week window it took for the car to arrive, our sales rep left the dealership, but the hand-off was seamless. Both our new sales rep, Mounir, and the sales manager were very accessible via phone or email and very on top of the status of the car as we waited. Once it arrived, we setup a delivery date to pickup the car. On that day, Mounir did an excellent job of explaining all policies, paperwork and giving us an in-depth tour of the car. This was an extremely positive experience, and I would definitely buy again from Dan Perkins Subaru. For the amount of volume they see, they still gave us first-rate, personalized treatment and acted more as consultants, not salesmen. It's clear there's a high culture of professionalism and pride at the dealership, which I greatly appreciated.

Before I even dropped off my car, I had confirmed with them TWICE that my catalytic converters would be repaired under warranty. I called when they left a message asking about their service, and they confirmed yet again that the repairs were under warranty and that my car was ready to be picked up. I got there and no repairs were done because apparently now, my warranty did not cover it. They called me about the service (this time it was not an automated message), and I let them know that right as my car rolled out their lot, my engine was making noises. The lady said her manager, Mark, would contact me. He hasn't and it's been almost a week now. Good job, Dan Perkins Subaru. I'm never buying a car from your dirt establishment nor will I ever go back for any repairs again.

I recently bought a used car that turned out to be a xxx from Dan Perkins suburu. It wasn't supposed to be on the lot, and I bought it sight unseen. My salesman, Roberto, made it right and then some. Not only did they dissolve the loan, but they got me into an excellent vehicle and dropped the price nearly 4,000$ so I could afford it. On top of that, they set me up with a lifetime warranty at no extra charge, bought me dinner, and got my new vehicle to me asap. This was the first time I bought a car myself and so I was a bit nervous about the whole experience. But it ended up being a good experience. I knew what kind of car I wanted as I had done my research long ago and was just waiting for my then current car to no longer be worth keeping (I run my cars into the ground...). When I went in and met with Bob he was nice, helpful, knowledgeable and didn't try to oversell me anything. I didn't feel like I was going to be taken advantage of due to my lack of car buying experience (which was my biggest concern). They even gave me a higher than expected trade in value. Working with the loan team was great too because again, no one tried to upsell me anything, and I had called around and got a quote from another lender and they were more than willing to match that. Loan people gave me detailed info on my loan and just told me about the various add ons and if I didn't want one, totally fine with them. Very happy all around. Definitely will buy my next Subaru here if I'm still in CT and lookin' for a Subaru. I'd definitely recommend Perkins Subaru and working with Bob for anyone who wants to buy a new Subaru.

He quoted to me as soon as I sat down( I rather not sell you a car because of the truth about it then sell you a car with a white lie). No one has ever said that to me. Sid Farahani is an embarrassment to Dan Perkins and Subaru in general. After performing a bait and switch on me (quoting an online price and then changing it when I came in for a test drive), he was rude throughout our conversations, which I chose to ignore because he quoted a decent price. When he called me to follow up THREE WEEKS LATER, he became verbally abusive when I told him I could not get financing, accused me of wasting his time, refused to return my REFUNDABLE deposit, and HUNG UP on me. Avoid him at all costs. Then, because I DARED to complain online, the dealership has their lawyer write me a threatening letter! Luckily, corporate Subaru stands behind their brand, and gave me a goodwill certificate to compensate for my horrible experience, which was used to purchase a brand new car at a different, reputable dealership!

Josh Fields justified the 45 minute drive from our home in New York to their location with a GREAT price on a new 2016 Forester Touring. I called dealers in Ohio, Virginia, D.C., Vermont, all over, a dozen or more emails to dealerships, and Josh beat them all, even our local dealer.Figure I would wait until our first visit to the Dan Perkins service Dept. for our first oil change before posting a review about the service we received at Dan Perkins Subaru.Josh was a great guy to deal with. A little slow at answering emails, but the transaction while purchasing the EXACT car we wanted was better than I expected, especially from an out of state dealer.I made an appointment for 12/18/2015 with a gal at the service department who was very direct and polite on the phone. I arrived 30 minutes early (10:00 AM) and was out of there by 11:15 AM. Not bad for an oil change and to re-program our remote starter from 15 minutes to 3 minutes cut off time.They had free coffee, bagels (sorry guys, I had 2 bagels ;)) and couches with a wide screen T.V. , magazines and newspapers to read.All in all, so far, a great experience.

I just want a quick purchase at the lowest price and have no need to be catered to or spend lots of time traveling back and forth to multiple dealers. This time was all positive. I have been a Subaru owner for 5+ years and have had 2 cars now through Dan Perkins. Just this past week my BRZ lost clutch function and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Not only did Dan Perkins Subaru tow my car for me, they were extremely informative and communicative as to what was going on. My true heroes are David from the service department and my sales man Kevin. They had my car fixed in a timely manner and were completely amazing to me and I will forever be grateful to them. From the minute I walked into the dealership, I received excellent customer service; I dealt with Regina Golden, who although she was very busy with another customer when I arrived, gave me the same undivided attention when she was free a short while later. I entertained myself while waiting in the very clean and comfortable show room which included watching the finches in their cage. ( I am a big animal person... and appreciated the effort to keep the cage immaculate. The birds seemed to like it too.)When I told Regina I was considering the Outback and two other competitors, she brought me to an interactive screen and showed me the relative benefits of each and why the Outback was an excellent choice. We walked around the lot and she showed me what each of the options looked like, and made arrangements for me to test drive a car which I did a few weeks later since none were available that day.She stayed in touch with me, no pressure, and when I decided to buy the vehicle, walked me through the process. I was able to get a haggle free discount through AAA which the dealership honored. 10 weeks later, my car arrived just in time for my birthday. They were able to transfer my plates to the vehicle and after signing the papers, off I drove. ( I was very fortunate to not need to finance the car, but the Finance department was most pleasant, and was able to offer an excellent rate, should I have wanted to finance it.) A week later, the dealership had a Ladies Night with Pizza and prizes. It was very nice to see how much they enjoyed their jobs and working together while entertaining their customers.Dan Perkins had a real family like feel when I was there, and when I needed to interact with service for a finish to be applied to the outside of the car, they were extremely pleasant and professional. I have owned the Outback for 2 weeks now and I think it is a great car from a really nice dealership who extended themselves to make me feels comfortable. Should I need another car I will definitely be back!

I HATE buying cars. Always have. It's dealing with the salesmen that just makes the experience so....bleh!I recently started shopping for a new car. I wanted another Subaru. Did my research online, looked at quotes elsewhere. I was ready when I walked into Dan Perkins' showroom.I dealt with Bob Oshrin as he came highly recommended by good friends. Sure enough he was friendly, but aren't they all? Bob was different though. He LISTENED to me and got me exactly what I wanted in a car! For example, I had wanted a CrossTrek. Bob asked me questions then had me sit in a CrossTrek. Something was "off"....I didn't feel good in it. Then he took me to a Forester (I had been driving one for 14 years) and sat in that. I felt at home. In the course of our conversation Bob had come to realize something I didn't even know... until he showed me - that I would be unhappy downsizing. Also, Bob had no problem looking for just the car I asked for - down to the color! In the past other salesmen have tried to sell me a car a color I didn't want. Hmmph....I don't spend $10 on a shirt if it's the wrong color. Why would anyone think I'd spend thousands of dollars for a car that's not right??? All in all, Bob Oshrin got me the perfect car (I'm so in love with it!), made me laugh, and I actually enjoyed car shopping!!

This had been the Subaru Regional Managers demo vehicle, so we feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to have it offered, otherwise we'd be waiting until October for the new 2016's.Second, Matt Ballero was our Sales Consultant and he was great. He's knowledgeable, hard working and stays on top of the details.Third, the financial transaction with Nick was seamless and painless. My mother had a 3:00 pm appointment to purchase a used Jeep. They made her wait for two hours before taking her to her meeting with the finance department. They only reason they helped her when they did was because I called them and demanded that she be helped within the next ten minutes, or they would lose out on a sale. The sales man I spoke with said that a woman who had a 3:30pm appointment was taken in before my mother (even though she had a later appt time!,) and proceeded to tie up the finance department for almost two hours, while my mother was left to wait with no explanation and no one helping her. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

We shopped around for awhile and finally found our way to Dan Perkins after not being very impressed with our local dealerships here in New London. It would have been more convenient to work with a dealer around here, but the atmosphere wasn't right. My wife and I don't like being told what car we "need" to buy or excessive sales pressure. My first impression of the dealership: Clean, calm, laid back but very business like. I noticed right away the prices were better and reasonable. We didn't feel like the other dealerships we visited paid attention to what we were saying, until we met Shelley. Shelley let us test everything and anything we wanted to, even going out of her way to get a car we wanted to test drive a quick charge since it had just sat for a little while, and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Everyone we interfaced with was professional but also laid back, they do enough business they aren't trying to desperately make a sale. Thats very evident when you walk in, they are a busy dealership and they aren't in the business of number games. Shelley was responsive to our questions, giving us honest answers and pointing out points of interest between variations in vehicle models. I've bought 3 cars "brand new" in my life from three different dealers, this being the 4th, and I have to say it was the most pleasant experience over all. There wasn't any haggling or games being played as I have experienced at other dealerships. I really can't say enough good things, you'll have to go down and see for yourself. Ask for Shelley, she's awesome and you really can't go wrong with a Subaru. As far as I know, they are one of the only couple dealerships in the state of CT that carry their own warranty on-top of the manufacturer warranty, which is impressive in itself. We traveled an hour to purchase a used Subaru Outback. The price was right. The salesman, Bob, elderly as we are, was patient, polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. He took the time to show us all of the features on the car which a car salesman has never done before. The car had some damage and Bob arranged to have it repaired and the scratches buffed out. We registered the car there which was extremely convenient. The car had a full tank of gas. We received a free oil change with synthetic oil. He was not pushy. Frankie, the man who made up the invoice, was also patient, polite and helpful. They each gave us their card in case we have any questions. We had a comfortable, relaxed experience. I was going to buy a used Volkswagen from them. At the first time I visited, I test drove the car and made a deal on price. Two days later, they called me asking if I was still interested and I said yes, I told them I was going to visit again in the afternoon and I was actually ready to buy the car. HOWEVER, at the moment I stepped in, Gerry looked at me waiting for me to ask for the report. So I did, I asked "if I can see the report from the last maintenance service." He said "No, the car was sold one hour ago". OMG SO DISRESPECTFUL! They knew I was going to visit again but they sold the car without a single call and made me come down to their place. Not a happy experience and we did not make the deal. But at least the sales team should learn how to be respectful to their potential customers!!!

The salesman Bob Oshrin was very pleasant to work with. No pressure sales just a very nice talk with him about the model I wanted. He had all the info at his finger tips and the whole procedure of buying a car was very smooth. He added some humor to the conversation which I appreciated to put me at ease. Just one problem after I got home with the car, which was not his responsibility, the people that prepared my car had inflated the tires to 55 psi instead of 30psi. I reduced the pressure and the car now rides very smoothly, Bob agreed with me on the phone over this approach. I hope this car will last as long as the previous one which for 11 years never gave me any problems, is still like new after all those years.

On April 14th I filled up my Jetta with Amoco Premium and took the car to be completely detailed to get rid of winter encrustations. I knew that the Jetta was not the car I wanted for an upcoming cross country trek. I owned two Subarus previously and have taken note of the changes to the Forester with the 2014 model. At the age of 74 I was particularly impressed with the safety features and improved gas mileage. I headed to Dan Perkins Subaru when I picked up the sparkling Jetta. I was introduced to Bob Oshrin. I liked him immediately because he shared my years of living in New York and because he was forthright in his answers to my questions. We did a lot of number crunching and were able to find a car on the lot, a new 2015 Forester Premium, that suited my needs perfectly at an affordable price. I love the car and my experience with Bob the finance guy George (I don't know his last name) were as good as any car dealer experience I have ever had, maybe the best. I cannot say enough about the quality of the interchange over the course of several hours with Bob Oshrin. He is a complete pro and a credit to the dealership and the profession.

Bob Oshrin is the best salesman I have literally ever met. Back in 2010 Bob sold me my brand new 2010 Legacy with no hassle and tremendous service. My dad and I went into the dealer on a Sunday, and Bob was the first to greet us, and said lets take a test drive if you want to, and he had me sold on my first brand new car. I had an amazing experience 5 years later to have Bob as my salesman again, he never forgot who I was, and did his best to get me the best deal possible. Sadly my legacy was totaled, and I ended up getting and buying a Maxima from Bob with a great price. It was such a pleasure to see him again, and have such a smooth car process . Bob truly cares about his customers, he always said to me contact me on my cellular if you have any questions. He even came in today on his off day to finalize the car process with me, that's a guy that is passionate and caring to his customers. Mike responded to my online inquiry immediately. He cleared my financing and prepped the paperwork same day. I knew roughly what I wanted, but with Mike's help, I chose a Toyota Corolla to meet my needs: recent year model, low mileage and a great price. When my friends told me to go to a specific place, i's one thing. When total strangers tell me that a place is worth buying from, it's a completely different thing, and it makes me want to go visit the dealership that much more! I bought in October from Dan Perkins, and it took me this long to write my review because I have never stopped driving my car! I love it and the experience offered. Michael, my salesperson, was excellent, and with a great sense of humor and perfect presentation skills, convinced me (even more than I already knew) that the XV Crosstrek was right for me! Josh assisted in getting me the best price, and Avrom, the Sales Manager, made sure that I was treated with professionalism and respect at every opportunity.I drove from NYC to get my car, passing over 20 dealerships along the way, and drove over an hour more than once over test driving, discussing finance options, getting my car, and servicing it. Unfortunately, my last car that I had owned for 12 years was recently stolen. Aside from the obvious feelings of anger and betrayal for all of humanity, I really hated the fact that I had to buy another car....the haggling, the pushy car salesman, the research to find the best rated vehicle in my price range, making monthly car payments again. Then I went to Dan Perkins Subaru where I met probably the most honest salesman out there, Kevin, and George, the most patient finance guy I have ever dealt with. My car buying experience was exceptionally easy and I would recommend this dealer to anyone in the market for a new car. I went in to test drive a Legacy to determine whether I would lease or buy. I was told that there were none in stock. I asked if they could get one from some place else. I was told no. I asked if I could drive last years model and was told they were redesigned. I was told they would not get the model until 12/30/14. I asked if they could get one from another dealer and was told not without putting a deposit on it and then i was told there were none in the state. The salesperson (Jim?) said that he did the inventory for the dealer and had access to what was available at other dealers. No 2014 Legacy's were available. As we spoke, I got an email from truecar.com telling me about a car at a Subaru dealer in Branford, CT. I went there. I test drive the car and I bought it. I felt the love in Branford not in Milford.

I went into the Dan Perkins parts and service department for a minor issueand came out a very happy future customer. I dealt with the parts department before heading over to meet with Marc Mesidor, the service director of this Subaru dealer. Marc was pleasant, courteous, and treated my minor issue like it was really important and so he made me feel important. Like I say it was a minor issue, but he really went out of his way to make me happy. I haven't dealt with this dealership before, but when I'm ready to buy a new Subaru I will definitely go to Dan Perkins. Everyone was pleasant and helpful.

I've been driving my brand new 2015 Subaru Forester for a week now and I absolutely love it! My husband and I had been making the rounds of the dealerships on the Post Road and I wanted to check out the Subarus. I'm glad we did. We went in to wait for a salesman and they were all so busy. Next thing I know this gentleman comes riding up on his motorcycle and sits at a desk. He called my husband over and starts to help us. Come to find out it was his day off and he was just taking a ride on a beautiful day. He spent the rest of the afternoon with us talking to us about the new Subaru and explaining the advantages to us. We decided to lease a 2015 Forester. I was hooked as soon as I saw it and took it for a ride. Bob Oshrin was the most amazing, friendly, person we had ever dealt with. After sitting with him for just 10 minutes we were hooked. My husband and I haven't owned a new car since 1973 and Bob made this decision so easy for us. I have been enjoying my brand new car for a week now and I'm so glad we decided to stop by Dan Perkins. We never would have met Bob and I would never have been driving around in my beautiful new Forester. My grandson thinks it's the best especially the back up camera!! I could not be more pleased regarding my experience at Dan Perkins Subaru. Josh from the start was professional, upfront, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I had been in contact with several Subaru dealerships, and although many of them were also nice, Josh was the first person I had contacted. The way he handled my questions and my purchase of the 2015 Legacy from the beginning was the reason I decided to do business here. I was getting a vehicle straight from the factory, so I did have to wait several weeks, but this was made clear to me from the beginning. During that time Josh was in constant correspondence, giving me updates to keep me informed. Furthermore, any time I had a question, he was quick to get me the answer. It was well worth the wait because I absolutely love my car, and I actually cant wait to go back out and drive it again. I would recommend Josh to anyone as you will have a hassle free car buying experience. I bought a used car from Dan Perkins (also a great experience) a few years back. When it came time to trade in and get a new car, I returned to Dan Perkins after visiting a few other dealers. This is one of the "realest" car dealerships I visited. There are not a lot of flashy sales gimmicks, just a lot of great people who want to help you find your perfect car! They also have a much larger inventory than other local dealers, including other Subaru dealers. I started my Dan Perkins experience with Gary who showed me a few different trim models of the Forester - which is the car I was interested in. One car was new to the lot and did not have a lot of information on it. Gary told me he would let me know about it the following day, and even offered to text me when I told him I can't often take calls during the work day. I heard from him the next day with the information I needed. I returned the next weekend to check it out and Gary was tied up with another customer, so he introduced us to Kevin who ended up finalizing our sale. There is a lot of ego and commission at other dealers that would have lead to us waiting a long period of time for Gary to be free, it was awesome that at Dan Perkins they were all so comfortable working together and worked to serve the needs of their customers. George in the finance office worked hard to negotiate us a great financing rate and I was able to drive away in my new car! I had fun through the whole process and felt well taken care of. I love my new Forester, and loved how easy it was working to get it. Thanks to all at Dan Perkins!

Not only did he give us the lowest price around, he went to extraordinary means to find the vehicle at another dealership to arrange delivery for us on short notice. Let me tell you how an ignorant car salesman ruined my life. I needed a car fast, and I needed one that could handle a very tough driveway in the snow. It was November 4th and I was browsing online during my lunch hour. Soon after, a man named Sid contacted me about the cars I was looking at and told me I should go over there that night to look at my options, so I did. I told him over the phone and in person that I SPECIFICALLY chose Dan Perkins, out of all the other dealerships in that area, because I NEEDED all wheel drive and that is what Subaru is known for. So, you would think at a Subaru dealership that a salesman would actually be knowledgeable about all wheel drive cars, right? Apparently not.After telling me I didn't have enough credit history to be approved for a loan for the Subarus I was looking at, he showed me this Cadillac SRX and said it was the only car he could find that would fit my criteria and also get me approved for a loan due to its low mileage of about 48,000 at the time. However, during my test drive I asked about AWD and he said no, it was front wheel drive but that it also had traction control which he said would provide the same amount of safety and traction I needed for my driveway. I described my long, rocky, hilly driveway to him in extreme detail, and also pointed out that the area I live in (Bethel) has many tricky, windy roads. He assured me that this car would be safe for those situations and that it was very good in the snow. I was unhappy that he couldn't pick out another AWD vehicle for me, but I still took it home to talk to my uncle about it. I wanted to know what other people thought of this Cadillac and how safe it would be. HOWEVER, I skipped that step for one simple reason. Literally as I was pulling out of the parking lot to leave the dealership, Sid comes running out and tells me that he just looked up the VIN and found out that this model is special. He told me the model I would be buying is AWD (I looked in the manual to check and they do come in AWD) so I believed him! I never thought in a million years that a car salesman would lie to me about something as important as the drivetrain, especially after taking so many business law classes. I knew that "puffery" was a legal sales tactic, but I also learned that any oral or written statement from a vendor to a buyer legally makes up the basis of the bargain. The only reason I agreed to such a high interest loan on a car with much higher insurance was because I BELIEVED that AWD made up the basis of the bargain. I BELIEVED I was paying higher premiums on all my car costs, including gas, so that I could drive a safe car in the winter that would make it up my driveway. Little did I know the car I was taking home was REAR WHEEL DRIVE. However, I did not find that out until Triple A came over to look at my car which was stuck in my driveway because it was stuck in the snow. The Triple A man told me it was definitely rear wheel drive and he knew just by looking underneath the car.So let me review quickly. I came in and I was completely honest. I said I didn't know that much about cars but I knew that I NEEDED an AWD vehicle to get up and down my driveway safely during the harsh weather. In other words, I the buyer made it very clear that I was RELYING on him, the seller, to pick out a car that fit my specific criteria. Then he, the seller, picked out a car for me, lied to me about it being FWD, lied to me about it being good in the snow, lied to me about it being good with windy roads, lied to me about the traction control providing extra safety in the snow, and then right before I left he lied to me about it being AWD! This goes against the legal concept of "fitness for a particular purpose" for so many reasons, but I think it's clear. He sold me a car that was EXTREMELY UNSAFE in the snow under the assumption that it was AWD, which is completely false. I reported them to the DMV because of this false statement, but they won't do anything because I have no evidence in writing. However, conceptually, this goes against everything I learned from my law professor and it is an example of the bad guys getting away with it.Also, I got all these frantic voicemails while I was at work a few days after I bought the car. I find out from Sid that HE PUT THE WRONG LICENSE PLATES ON MY CAR. For almost a week I was driving around with the wrong license plates! Does that not spell incompetence?!? Someone drove to my house and changed them for me because they admitted it was Sid's mistake so they couldn't force me to waste MY gas to go all the way back there. Still, it is another example of the incompetence of both the dealership and this car salesman named Sid.Because I was driving a RWD car that I thought was AWD, you can also imagine the countless dangerous situations I was in because of the false information I was given. Every time I was driving in harsh weather I was terrified for my life. I never owned an AWD car before so I just assumed this particular model really sucked. However I still didn't know it was RWD which is why my life was constantly in danger this past winter! My car would also get stuck in my driveway almost everyday. Either I couldn't get it up the driveway at night, or I would wake up and not be able to leave my driveway because it couldn't handle the snow. As a result, I became a very unreliable member of my audit team. I had an amazing full time job as an auditor at PWC where I did really well right up until winter came along. I was forced to work from home the days I couldn't leave my house and every single one of my supervisors would get mad at me. Eventually I fell behind too much and was removed from my audit team. I also got horrible performance reviews because of my many "absences." Then the stress of not being able to drive to my job and trying to deal with Dan Perkins management got to me and I was forced to quit my wonderful job at PWC all because of this stupid car. Now I am extremely under-employed even though I have been applying everywhere and I cannot get out of this car loan. I can't afford to make my payments but I also can't afford to sell because I have negative equity. My credit scores, occupation, and financial future are all now ruined because of this man named Sid.Besides buying the car in the first place, my biggest regret is not having a tape recorder on hand when I called him. After my car was stuck for good and Triple A told me it was RWD, I called him at the dealership to confront him about the situation. He was very angry with me and said I had absolutely no right to call him a liar. After I pointed out that he did lie, he said that if I continued with my "attitude" he would hang up the phone right then and there. I gave him my information for him to look up because he didn't remember me. Once he realized who I was, he admitted to me that yes, he did indeed tell me it was AWD the first night I was there. He remembered it exactly as I remembered it (him running out and telling me right before I left). But then he made up some story that when I came in the next day to purchase the car (Nov. 5, 2013), him and his business manager informed me that it was actually FWD with traction control (this guy seriously needs to learn his makes and models because he got it wrong AGAIN). That's why I wished I had recorded, to catch him in the FWD lie when it's actually RWD. However, I also would have liked to record the things he said to me to intimidate and bully me. When I told him I had NO memory of that he said, "Well you have quite a CONVENIENT memory, huh?" I was so disgusted by him and angry with him, but there was nothing I could do.Now let me point something out. The only time I was with anyone but Sid, it was when I was signing the final papers in a separate office on Nov. 5. It was me, my uncle who co-signed, Sid, and his manager in the room. By the way my uncle also has no memory of them saying that. My uncle was under the impression it was AWD as well. Anyways, let's say Sid's story is true somehow. If Sid and his manager really both told me the truth about the drivetrain, that would mean they told me about a HUGE change regarding the drivetrain of the car RIGHT BEFORE I signed the papers. Is that good business practice? To change LITERALLY the only criteria the buyer cared about last minute like that? Who tells someone to buy a car BECAUSE it's AWD, then informs them, oops, it's actually not, RIGHT BEFORE THEY SIGN THE PAPERS??? Well, it doesn't matter too much because it's all a lie. If I KNEW that car was RWD, I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT. Rear Wheel is the absolute worst drivetrain for someone who wants to be safe in the snow. I would have had absolutely zero motivation or incentive to buy that car if I knew the truth about its drivetrain. However, they sure had incentive to get rid of it and leave me with a hefty loan! These people are xxxx. They admitted to my mother in person they sold me the wrong car, but refused to rectify the mistake in any way. They bullied her as well when she was fighting for me. I have tried to get lawyers to fight for me as well but just as it was with the DMV, I have nothing in writing.All I can do is write reviews for the public to see. There may be some good salesmen at that dealership? However, if you have to use Dan Perkins for some reason, I would advise everyone to AVOID SID AT ALL COSTS. He is an ignorant man who has made many BIG mistakes and told MANY LIES. Not only that, but he is also a very mean person who DOES NOT CARE about his customers after they buy something. He will be nice to you and act like he is listening to your wants and needs up until you leave. Then if you confront him with the truth, he will bully, lie and intimidate you until you are afraid to call the front desk. I am out thousands of dollars because of repairs and extra car costs and snow plowing costs I have incurred because of this lousy RWD car. It is of no use to me and I am now buried in debt because of it. The fault lies with Sid and Dan Perkins and I hate them both. Go to literally any other dealership but them.

I stopped in on July 5th to look at a 2013 Santa Fe I saw advertised in the newspaper.It was a great price,and was the color I liked. Took it for a test drive and noticed an engine light on.The salesman said it wasn't a big deal-most likely a gas cap issue. So I trusted him (big mistake),and went inside to strike a deal.They offered me a generous trade allowance for my old car,and a decent interest rate on financing.So I signed the deal.(mistake #2).This was on a Saturday.They offered to let me take the car right then,but I told them I'd be back Monday .Make sure you fix that engine light,I said as I left.Monday I came back to take delivery.It was still being cleaned they said to me.I waited two hours in the lounge.You're all set they told me,and I got in the car,started it and guess what? The engine light was still on!So they scanned the code in the service dept. and lo and behold-this was NO gas cap issue.They sent the car to the Hyundai dealer for repair and sent me home in a rental.They paid for the rental,to be fair.Two days later,I received a call from the service dept. saying it needed a part which would take a week to arrive.By now I was furious.I called the dealer and asked for the General Mgr.I asked to cancel the whole deal since this car should NEVER have been sold to me with this light-and subsequent big problem being fixed.He told me the paperwork was already submitted so I couldn't cancel.He told me he'd look into it and call me back.He never did.Got a similar brush-off from my salesman.Ten days later,I finally got my car home.They should have checked the car out thouroughly,before selling it,and because they didn't they should have allowed me to get out of my deal.That would have been the decent,and 'right' thing for them to do.

Once my husband and I decided on the exact car we wanted to buy (a 2015 Forester XT in dark grey), I did a TrueCar search and Dan Perkins Subaru was one of the dealerships listed in the results and they offered the lowest price. After I sent an email to Dan Perkins Subaru, I had a reply via email from Shawn Hayden almost immediately and then he followed-up with a phone call a few hours later. It was definitely his polite persistence that led us to purchasing our car from your dealership. He was not at all pushy, but made sure I understood that he could get me the car I wanted, for the best price and it would be ready to pick-up within a few days. Because we were looking for such a specific car, other dealerships told me I might have to wait for them to order one for me, which could take 4-6 weeks and their price was higher. I was very happy with our overall experience - my husband picked up the car without me and he said Shawn was very thorough and addressed all his questions. I definitely think your internet sales department is doing a great job - in this era where it is so easy for the consumer to search on-line for exactly what they want and do price comparisons, the dealerships really have to act quickly (same day) and have staff with the right personality to be persistent without seeming aggressive. We are very happy with our subaru, thank you!

On July 1,2014 I took Delivery of a 2015 Subaru 2.5i Limited Forester. This was my 3rd car purchased from Bob Oshrin & Dan Perkins Subaru. In my entire Life, I have Never found a More Honest Sales Men, or a Dealership. Bob has all ways Been The Best, the Most Helpful and thoughtful Salesmen. I even disagreed with Him about the Stereo that was in the New car, But on the way Home, I found out His was right. This car and the Stereo are the best. This is my 2nd forester, and I love it all ready, and As to the Stereo, It's Fantastic, Bob was right as all ways :) And so You know, Bob has all ways been there for me after the sale. Lots of Great sales Men and Women out their But Bob Oshrin Stands out from all the rest by far. As to Dan Perkins Subaru, Well I can testify They are the Best in the Business, and they are The ONLY Dealership I have ever Trusted to Service a car after the sale. Everyone there "Cares" Ever time I have went to service and feel so well taken care of, and trust the work that was done, is right and the Best I could have gotten. After a very long day spent shopping for used cars for my son, I decided to pay a visit to Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford, CT. We were met by salesman, Mike Gallio. Knowing that we were interested in a used Subaru with low miles, Mike showed us the inventory of used vehicles. Located at the back end of the pre-owned lot was a 2008 Legacy. Since there was no sticker on the car. I asked Mike to pull the information and find out if the car was for sale. Mike informed me that the car had been traded in 2 days earlier but had not yet been cleaned up and prepared for sale. I asked Mike to let my son take it out for a test drive. Following the test drive, we knew this was the car for him. We then met with Mike and finalized the deal. The entire process from start to finish was exceptional. Mike is a true professional and it was a pleasure working with him. Both Mike and the dealership are highly recommended!!

I bought my used BMW from Perkins Subaru a few years ago. Since then I have brought my car there for any servicing that did not require a specialized BMW dealeship service department. The Perkins service center is an amazing place - the best overall auto service center that I have ever used. Marc Mesidor and his staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and thorough. Whether my appointmen was for an oil change or the replacement of my brakes and rotors, the service staff has the expertise to do an "A-1" job. And, they are helpful in pointing out other mechanical items that might need service attention in the future without "spending my money" on a repair that isn't needed yet. In this economy, I appreciate that!When I arrive for my car appoinments, the service is on time and responsive to my repair concerns. As a woman with limited knowledge about the components of a car, I can always trust the staff to be honest with me about the required repairs - which I often didn't sense from other service departments in the past. And, I have never visited an auto service center that has a more comfortable and relaxing customer waiting area. I can get my law office work done on one of their reception area tables, listen to CNN on their flat screen TV, and enjoy the complimentary bagels and tea - and even popcorn (when I am not dieting!). :-) They often top off their service with a car wash so my car shines when I am ready to leave.Kudos to Perkins Subaru!

My Car Broke Down, Was Going On A Short week-end Trip With My Wife, Got The Car Towed To Dan Perkins Subaru I was meet at the door by the service manager Marc Messidor his smile and he assured me that soon I would be back on the road.That made me feel good about the choice I made of going to his dealership. After I talked to another knowledgeable gentleman in Dave Ortiz he wrote up my concerns told me to go relax and have a cup of coffee(very good by the way) and a bagel then what seemed like a matter of seconds...not really but it felt like I was not there long I was back on the road and we were on our way to a stress free week-end trip!!!! you guys rock !!!! When I arrived, Sid, the fellow I was told to ask for, was busy with another customer. He was very good about finding me another sales rep when he realized his current customer was going to take a bit longer than he anticipated. He connected me with Josh and that was great! Josh took the time to listen and really understand my priorities and how I was going to use the car. He was a great listener, which is a rare find these days. The first car he showed me was EXACTLY what I wanted. George helped me sort out the financing options and pick the best package for my needs and I drove out of there with a huge smile on my face. My new Subaru is perfect for me and I can't say enough good things about the friendly folks I got to meet in the process. Out of all my numerous car buying experiences across the country, this was the best by far!

A very expensive service needed to be worked on on my Subaru. David Ortiz showed empathy and made a very stressful situation into a calm one when David and his team fixed my car in a timely manner.It's not Subaru Dan Perkins (service dept) fault that the Life Time Warranty is crappy and has a tons of loop wholes. A week was too long to wait to hear that my service would not be covered.

When we decided it was time to trade in our 2007 Subaru Impreza we shopped around. We ended up at Dan Perkins Subaru and with Tom Montanaro. We had seen a 2014 Tungsten Metallic Legacy the week before we saw Tom. I fell in love with it. When we went to purchase the car, we found out that car had been sold. We talked to Tom. He said he would find one for us. It took a week, but he located one in West Springfiled Mass. After checking a few dealers he went out of his way to locate our car. He made the process of purchasing our new car a pleasure. He went over all the manuals and he sat in the car and showed us all the options. Thank you Tom for all the time you spent with us. We will totally recommend your service to anyone who is looking to buy a car.

I usually hate buying cars and having to work with car dealers. My experience at Dan Perkins Subaru was very different. Our salesman Mike Capobianco was excellent. He listened very carefully to what we were looking for, showing us only those cars that fit our needs. When we finally settled on a car that seemed to work, we realized quickly it was a little beyond our budget -- even considering the room we all know salesmen have to "deal." Mike went out of his way to make the deal better for us, knowing that he'd have to get it approved by the infamous "Johnny D." Long story short, we made the deal and in the process had a few laughs. In the end, we both felt good about the deal we made. I usually hate buying cars and having to work with car dealers but in this case, it was actually fun. Thank you Mike and Johnny D. You are both gentlemen. Dan Perkins Subaru has some fine people -- I recommend them highly. Check them out -- you won't be sorry!

I originally went to anther local subura dealership, I was not happy with the attention I received and went to Dan Perkins. I was extremely happy with the friendliness & professionalism of the staff. They worked diligently to match my needs with a Subura. My original choice of car didn't' meet my expectation and the dealership was willing to work with me to obtain other model which I'm very please with. I want to especially commend my salesperson Regina and her sales manager Sal for making the transition as smooth as possible. I highly recommend the dealership and staff, from the front desk to the service department, all where extremely helpful .

Due to my bad credit they treated me like a second class citizen. Wouldn't return my calls or give straight answer. First sales guy claims we can any person approved. Then he ran my credit gave me cold shoulder even after i was willing pay almost 40 percent of car.

I had decided that it was time to buy a new car, rather than always buying used ones. However, I was very nervous about this major decision. When I checked in, the sales consultant, Tom Montanaro, greeted me with a big smile that made me feel immediately at ease. He asked me why I was there, what exactly I was looking for, and the price I could afford. Honestly, within 10 minutes, probably more like 5, he told me that I was going to drive home with a new vehicle that day (Saturday, March 22, 2014). He had already obtained a finance/payment plan that was within my budget. He was extremely organized with the paperwork. He clearly explained all of the warranties, as this was important to me. When I asked how I was going to get the car that day if the Registry closed at noon, he said that he would take care of the registration! I can honestly say that I was treated like a friend and not as a customer. Being a teacher, I work with students and parents on a daily basis, so I am a good judge of people. When we were talking to Nick about the payment plan and what warranties to purchase, Tom guided me through the steps, so I knew exactly what I was purchasing. Trust me, there was no pressure. I had specifically asked for the warranties! Nick was also very easy to work with, along with the woman who did the registration. I am sorry, but I do not remember her name. I also spoke with Ronan and another man, Paul, I think, who were very kind and courteous. When it came time to go over the dashboard and features within the car, Tom patiently showed me all of the features and set up the Bluetooth for me. Yes, I was more interested in the Bluetooth than looking under the hood. Finally, Tom even pumped the gas for me when I drove over to Stop and Shop to fill up the tank. For all of you, that are tired of self-serve gas, especially with this never ending winter, this was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Dan Perkins Subaru, but especially Tom Montanaro, to anyone looking to purchase a new (or used vehicle). Believe me, I went into that dealership totally anxious about purchasing a new car, but he put me right at ease. I knew when I was talking with him that I had made the right decision and I really did drive home on Saturday with a new car!

I rarely write reviews, but the staff at Dan Perkins went so far above and beyond other dealerships that I felt they deserved a great review. After scouring cars.com for a month looking for a 5-6 year old Dodge Charger with low miles for my son, and finding mostly relatively beat up cars in our price range in New Jersey, I was pleasantly surprised to find this car at the same price, and in excellent condition. Our salesmen Chris went out of his way to send me and my son additional photos showing the few imperfections that this car had, because he knew we were coming from 120 miles away and were looking for a clean car. When we got there, the car was even better than he described it. We showed up 5 minutes before they were closing, and Chris still took his time with us and we didn't feel rushed at all. We drove the car for 5-10 minutes and spent another half an hour or so going over financing options and the final price. We left a small deposit and went back two days later to pick up the car. When we arrived the second time, all of the paperwork was ready to go, and the finance guy, Frank, also took extra time to explain all of the various paperwork, which was also very painless and low pressure compared to what we are used to in New Jersey. There was no hard sell on the extended warranty like other dealerships either, and I rarely purchase third party warranties, but when we were offered a 20% discount on the warranty that made the price affordable enough that it seemed like good piece of mind in case anything major goes wrong. The warranty company does have some bad reviews online, but every one of them that I read seemed to be for parts that were clearly not listed as covered on the contract I was given. Don't purchase this warranty if you expect it to cover windshield wipers,running boards or other accessory parts, and be sure and keep records of the scheduled maintenance because they will not replace an engine if you haven't changed the oil in two years. Plus, it's a Wells Fargo company and some of these reviews are 4-5 years old, so it's not some fly by night outfit like a lot of other warranty companies. Thanks again to Chris, Frank, and the rest of the staff at Dan Perkins for making my son's first car purchase a great experience.

I was in the market for a new car and had been looking at a Mercedes dealer for a GLK 350 but was left there without help for 30 min then strung along for 3 hours and finally just walked out. This is the fourth car I've purchased from a dealer and was starting to grow tired of their transparent tricks and attempts to squeeze my budget. So I took a friends advice that also swears by Subarus and Dan Perkins and decided to look at a 2014 Forester, within minutes of entering the dealership I was greeted and introduced to Josh Fields. He was an easy going, energetic, knowledgeable guy and dealing with him was great. He made sure I was happy and I feel like I got the car for a fair price. When I took delivery he was there waiting with the keys and answered all my questions about the car. In fact, I already recommended him to my neighbor who later purchased a car from Dan Perkins and had a good experience as well. Also, I told my brother and his wife who just had twins and is going to need a bigger car that they should go to Dan Perkins and ask for Josh. Thanks again Josh,Doug

I live in New York where Subaru Dealerships are a dime a dozen but chose to go to Dan Perkins Subaru to investigate " Life Time Warrantee" advertised on their web site. To my surprise it was true...No Gimmicks. Just keep up with the maintanance. My experiance at Dan perkins Subaru was Great. Josh Fields was not only courteous but professional and very informative. He took time to explain every option that my 2014 outback had...even before I purchased it. He was really cool and never pressured me into making a decision. He took care of all the paperwork and even had my car registered with the NYS DMV and overnighted my registration to my house. GREAT SERVICE ! The general manager Averam was also very helpful and even helped search for the exact color and options that I was looking for. For the first time I didn't have buyers remorse.. After one salesman, nameless, dropped the ball HUGELY on the day I was to take delivery of my vehicle, the sales manager assigned Josh to my case. He immediately set about to make things right! He honored all the items that the other salesman had promised (I was using a car buying service through my insurance and had severe trepidations about it actually being legit), regardless of the fact that they WEREN'T really included. He even sped things up for the finance end of things and had it all in hand. I have his cell phone and I anticipate letting him know I love the vehicle and that it's all good!When things first started to go wrong hours before I took delivery of my car, I really began to have doubts about the dealership and expected to be "taken". I was half convinced I'd be leaving the dealership minus a car and starting all over elsewhere. This was not the case - no attempt to place blame on me was ever made and all the staff involved, especially Josh, did their best to be sure I was a happy camper.If you are looking for a Subaru in the area, see Josh at Dan Perkins!

The price was extremely competitive. Sid, my salesperson followed through on everything that was promised. The LIFETIME WARRANTEE sealed the deal. I would have preferred to buy closer to my home, but when I asked the local Subaru for their lowest price, it was over $1,300 more, did NOT include the remote starter, nor did it include the LIFETIME warrantee. It was a pleasure dealing with both Sid and Dan Perkins Subaru, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a Subaru.

I have been handicapped and disabled since birth. I had great difficulty walking and getting about till the age of 12. at 17 I was homebound and disabled and suffered from numerous illnesses that were accumulated by my birth defect to both my legs. I was disabled and homebound for over 20 years of my life. I finally got connected with new doctors tops in their field that were on the rise as top docs in the state. with their great knowledge and connections they combined their efforts with other doctors and surgeons to find a resolve to my ongoing problem. In time of 6 years and a dozen surgeries and endless rehabilitation I got better with hard work and soon was able to walk again to the surprise of even my surgeon for he had his doubts at times as to how badly the disease to my legs had done. not only am I shocking them by walking but also going for my drivers license and today I purchased my very first vehicle at Dan Perkins Subaru of Milford and was greatly assisted by the wonderful, friendly, caring personality of Salesman Joshua Fields. he made this happen and along with the friendliness of George Irizarry, Business Manager, they got me in my first ever vehicle of my life. I cant say enough of how much of a pleasure it was dealing with Joshua Fields with this acquisition. He made it easy and was so friendly and caring to my situation and was in total understanding to my wants and needs. Everyone at this dealership is amazing its like family for everyone that walks through the door! I called in because I had gotten stuck in a deal with another place that worked us over for over 8,000 dollars what the car was worth and Shawn said come on in and we can take a look at it. He looked over everything and was in shock someone could do that to someone and helped us figure out what to do to fix the situation. His advice worked and he did all this not even expecting to sell us a car, just out of good will. So obviously we went to him to have our second chance in buying a car. He was AMAZING he spent all day with us all while attending to his other customers (he is very popular and after you read this you will know why). He worked with us to find a car in our budget (which wasn't an easy task as I was so scared about getting another car and we were only able to afford around 300 a month and have not so great credit). Now if you ever told me I could be getting a brand new car I would probably give you a dirty look for your cruel joke but guess what I GOT IT. BRAND SPANKIN NEW 2014 Baby blue (my favorite color) awd Subaru Impreza! In our budget which was not an easy task to accomplish for poor Nick the amazing finance manager who would not settle till we were in a budget we could handle :-) Shawn even let me test drive the 6 cars I had picked out prior and was completely honest and up front about each one. These people really care about you and care about getting you a car you love at a price you can afford and will put you first. Never will you leave this place feeling swindled (which is coming from past experience). They are truly amazing! Kevin Puzzo was so sweet he remembered me from me coming in prior in tears about the situation I had been in and loves my son Logan (6 months old) and was so nice. We talked while Nick was working his magic and we lucked out because the bank representative was there to get us approved (and no he wasn't a gimic guy lol for the skeptics out there lol he was from wells fargo and extremely nice which is unexpected because I always thought of the banks approval people as mean principle types but I was wrong) they worked so hard and we got our BRAND NEW CAR that smells like a brand new car! I called in because I had gotten stuck in a deal with another place that worked us over for over 8,000 dollars what the car was worth and Shawn said come on in and we can take a look at it. He looked over everything and was in shock someone could do that to someone and helped us figure out what to do to fix the situation. His advice worked and he did all this not even expecting to sell us a car, just out of good will. So obviously we went to him to have our second chance in buying a car. He was AMAZING he spent all day with us all while attending to his other customers (he is very popular and after you read this you will know why). He worked with us to find a car in our budget (which wasn't an easy task as I was so scared about getting another car and we were only able to afford around 300 a month and have not so great credit). Now if you ever told me I could be getting a brand new car I would probably give you a dirty look for your cruel joke but guess what I GOT IT. BRAND SPANKIN NEW 2014 Baby blue (my favorite color) awd Subaru Impreza! In our budget which was not an easy task to accomplish for poor Nick the amazing finance manager who would not settle till we were in a budget we could handle :-) Shawn even let me test drive the 6 cars I had picked out prior and was completely honest and up front about each one. These people really care about you and care about getting you a car you love at a price you can afford and will put you first. Just left with our new "used" Jeep and couldn't have been happier with the transaction from start to finish. We test drove a Subaru forester at a dealer near where I live and fell in love with it. I was recently searching for a used car within my price range. I had already been to four other dealerships. I specifically mentioned that I'm a single parent and would like to stay in my budget. Mike Gallo LISTENED to me, as opposed to some other dealerships that just wanted to get me into a car, even if I couldn't afford it. My credit rating is not the best, but Mike and the financing department worked very hard to get me a loan at the best interest rate possible. I found Mike Gallo to be a down to earth salesman. Can you really say that about many people that sell cars? My son and I liked his personality right away, and by now we already knew what we didn't like in a dealership. From beginning to the end, we loved our experience at Dan Perkins Subaru. The receptionist/cashier, finance personnel, Kevin...another salesperson, and of course, Mike, made buying a car less stressful and a time to celebrate. Mike even took time the next day...a full thirty minutes, to show us how some of the features in the car work.I intend to send all of my friends and family to Mike Gallo for a car....Just awesome.

I've had my Subaru Legacy serviced an Dan Perkins Subaru for many years now, although I bought it at another dealership.I've always had a positive experience with the Service department so it made sense to consider this dealership first in considering a new Subaru. The time finally came for me to get into a more 'family oriented' car like an Outback. I'd been talking to Bob Oshrin for months via Phone/E-mail and he was very friendly and understood my timeline was uncertain. He said just let him know. So finally the day came to buy a new Outback. I can say that I really put buying a car off just because I really dislike the whole process. With each experience, I felt weary that my concerns were considered. But I am pleased to say that this was not how it happened with Bob. From the moment we first connected on e-mail to the moment I pulled out of the lot in a new Outback, it was a very positive experience. Although Bob will say he's not really a 'car guy', he really is. He knows his cars very well and he was motivated to get me into the right car for me. He listened very well to what I was interested in/needed and then negotiated fairly once we found the right fit for me and my family. I felt comfortable that Bob was truly looking to get me the best deal he could. He went the extra yard that help make a sales person stand out. Bob did a great job to explain the steps to me, he followed my paperwork closely, made sure my car was ready for delivery. If there was any kind of obstacle, he'd get on the phone and shout at the department manager. He had a smile on his face so I could sense this was a routine conversation, all in good fun. But I'm highlighting that Bob knew how to get the deal done. All in all, we spent about 90 minutes, test driving and negotiating a deal. Delivery took an hour. I'm very pleased with this efficient use of time. Just the same, I never felt rushed.I can say that everyone at the dealership was friendly and Nick in finance was very courteous and efficient in finalizing the sale. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family if they are interested in a Subaru. Personally, I feel grateful to be introduced to Bob Oshrin to buy my new Subaru Outback. Buying a car was something I was not looking forward to but Bob seems to understand this and did his best to limit the frustrating aspects of buying a car. It might be some time from now but if I ever decide to buy a new Subaru, I will definitely seek out Bob to get the deal done. In fact, because of this positive experience, I might see if he can go with me if I decide to buy another brand of car....which I won't, Subaru knows AWD and this is very important in Connecticut.

Being recently retired, the decision to purchase a vehicle was more financially significant than in the past. Bob Oshrin at Dan Perkins Subaru was very informative and helpful, and did not use a high-pressured sales approach that I have experienced at other dealerships. In fact, when we first arrived at the dealership to browse the cars in their lot, we were allowed to casually explore the different models at our leisure and for some time, without a sales rep shadowing us around. We came to an agreeable purchase and trade-in price rather quickly, and Mr. Oshrin made arrangements to deliver our new car in a timely manner. When working with George Irizarry to complete the sales process and arrange for financing, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no pressure put upon us to purchase the myriad of "add-ons," such as extended warranties and protection plans. It was truly a relaxed and positive experience, and I would have no reservations recommending this dealership and Mr. Oshrin to others.

I had searched for WEEKS and had been treated terribly by other dealerships. I'm a woman that does my homework, I knew what make of car I wanted, did car fax's on them then would go to the Consumer Reports site, THEN make an appointment to test drive said cars. To say I was treated with little respect at these Dealerships is an understatement, one even told me to bring my husband in, another asked "What color car are you looking for?" Imagine? I happened upon the Dan Perkins Subaru site as it had brought up 2 Toyotas that I was interested in late Saturday night. I checked the hours and decided to take a chance and call the next day which was Sunday. The ride to the Dealership was approximately 90 mins. I called and happened to have Jeffery Watkins answer. I told him the distance, what I was interested in, what I had to spend and that I didn't want to waste his time or mine. We concluded the conversation with Mr. Watkins saying "If you come all the way down here and test drive and like one of the cars, I will make it happen". Needless to say I took a chance and took a ride. In the confusion with construction on the roads that are unfamiliar to me "Samantha" was wonderful as well. Her voice smiled if that makes sense. She guided me and never lost her patience or her sunny attitude. Technically Samantha is the first contact anyone has when calling the Dealership. This young woman is a gem, you're fortunate to have her. I was fortunate to have her there.Mr. Jeffery Watkins is a very warm and down to earth man. He is confident and self assured but most importantly I was scared to death, he was calm and reassuring. He was honest. You have no idea how important that is and I should know.13 dealerships and many, many test drives in vehicles that in one instance didn't want to break. No, really.I test drove my car, saw Jeff inside, he said "Well what do you think?" I replied simply "I want it" Jeff made that happen. To refer to him as Mr. Watkins is indeed the proper way I should be referring to him as, but that's to stuffy and formal for him, so yes Jeff made that happen.Samantha stayed past closing to help with everything. Never did her smile or attitude change. She kept saying "I am SO happy for you" I asked for a hug from her and was gladly given one. Poor Mr. Watkins didn't have a chance, I just had to hug him.I want you all to know that I asked how to write a review. So many people are so quick to complain, not enough of them take the time to say "Thank You" to them properly. I certainly hope I just did.P.S. My car was decorated and front and center the day I picked it up. Balloons attached to the wipers, little gifts... but inside a Podium also decorated with floating balloons with a poster with my name on it, congratulating me on my new car. Never, ever, had I ever had that, or felt so special about a purchase.Thank You again... And yes, I have told everyone I know. Now I've told you too. I lease a 2014 Subaru Forester from Dan Perkins of Milford and I absolutely love it! It's such a smooth ride and the overall image of the car is just perfect. I had test driven many other SUV's and there is just no comparison for me. My fiance and I walked in knowing what we wanted with having done a lot of research as to which vehicles were best in the snow/rain. If you get a chance to test drive the forester- DO IT! If you have other suv's in mind you should save this one for last. The best for last! :) My salesmen Kevin P. was wonderful! He was thorough and kept me informed on everything about the car and my purchase. There were times I was in contact with Kevin multiple times a day for my own questions. He was always kind and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. He never came across as pushy or rude. Kevin was perfectly informed on the forester, so helpful and if i had a question about the financial specs he got back to me within a reasonable amount of time. Its not until I got a call from Christine after filling out an inquiry online telling me about Dan Perkins Subaru that things started to look positive. She set me up with shawn, and from the moment I walked in I knew I was one, walking out with a car, and I felt at home. The experience was almost painless, they got me the car I wanted verses the car I was going to settle for at the same price and gave me financing much lower then anywhere else. George the finance rep explained everything as to my payments and made sure that I got the best rate. Let me just say if you ever want to purchase a car come here because not only they have subarus but all other types of cars with their lifetime warranty. This was my first brand new car and Mike made it very easy for me to narrow down my choices based on my wants and needs. He was very knowledgeable about the models he was showing me. He helped me decide which was the best car for me, which was not the car I intended on getting. I ended up purchasing a 2010 Subaru Legacy. There was a problem with the headlights and a crack in the windshield. I brought the car back and spoke to the manager on duty, Jeff, and he was very accommodating and got the problems fixed right away.Bob did call me about 2 weeks later to check in on me and make sure things were good with the car. He was very knowledgeable, not at all pushy, and quite accommodating--I was concerned that the vehicle might be too wide for my garage and he let me drive it to my house and right into my garage (yes, it fit!) I bought my car from Dan Perkins Subaru. It is a 2006 Suzuki Forenza. Apparently the owner who had it before me didn't take good care of it.I also bought an extended warranty. The car has been a nightmare. Recently,I brought the car to the service department. Marc and David knew I was upset because there were so many mechanical problems.David has helped me in the past and has been nice. David was off from work so Marc took care of me. He made sure I got a rental car and was very sympathetic to my financial situation. He will do what he can to check the car out and hopefully have the extended warranty company take care of it.I get the car back next week.Hopefully, this new problem will be resolved.Very happy with service by Marc and David. I knew of 3 other owners who bought the Subaru Legacy. Lifetime warranty was a major reason why I wanted to buy the car. Style and handling of the Legacy are just two of the great attributes of the automobile. Heard great reviews of Matt Ballaro as a salesman. I found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and concerned of my needs. I found out that he also worked with my Father (who was a former car salesman Frank Ellison before he died) at other dealerships as co-workers which really closed the deal for me in wanting to buy a car from Matt. Overall Matt was a good guy who always seems VERY BUSY trying to satisfy all his clients. He did everything I asked of him and I would recommend him highly to anyone. I also have high regards for Nick Aquilina (Finance consultant) and Mike Gallio another salesman who was ready to help me even though I wasn't even buying the Legacy from him. This is the second Subaru I have bought from Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford and the second car I have bought from Tom Montanaro. Dan Perkins Subaru is excellent on all levels. Tom Montanaro is wonderful to deal with, I never felt pressured. It is always an enjoyable experience working with him. I had totaled my Outback and was quite shaken and Tom was very gentle with me. Avrom Sevell the General Manager, was very generous and let me have the car I eventually purchased for a week with dealer plates on it as I was due to leave for a trip and would not have had time to get the insurance set up. I plan to do all my service work on my 2013 Subaru Legacy Sedan at Dan Perkins because I know the service department people are excellent to work with as I have been servicing my cars there for the past 6 six years.

I had such a great service experience at Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford connecticut that I decided to take the time and let the world know! I drive a Lexus and was due for a major service on my car. I wanted to maintain my car but keep the cost down at the same time. I called Marc Mesedore for help. Marc was extremely accomodating and not only got me right in but offered me a loaner car as well. The mechanic that worked on my car, Mike Yang, used to work at Lexus in service so he was very familiar with my car and did an incredible job. I picked up my car today and it drove like a dream! Everything was done exactly as promised and the car was even washed! Everyone there is so friendly! They service all makes and Gina, David, Donna and Adrien alway greet you with a smile. I am coming back here for all my servicing and plan on bringing my wifes car here for service as well. I would reccomend everyone bring their cars here for servicing!

We were very happy with our experience at Dan Perkins. We were very undecided on what to get for our next car and wanted to make sure we made the right choice. Once we narrowed our search down to Subaru and did some research we were very interested in the Impreza Hatch and Cross Trek. Our sales person Sean was very helpful and went through the benefits of both cars and ultimately helped us decide that the Impreza was the better fit for what we needed. Working with Michael Gallio to trade in my existing car to purchase a new WRX could not have been easier. He, and the dealership, were accommodating and attentive. After the initial meeting at the dealership, where I felt no pressure to buy, I was able to negotiate everything over email and phone. I recently bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford, CT. From my initial call the staff was very polite, friendly and really helpful. The sales representative I had to work with was Mike Gallio and I have to say that BY FAR he is the most friendly, serious and professional sales representative I have ever had the opportunity to make business with. Mike assisted me from the beginning answering all my questions, finding the car I wanted and bringing it down to my affordability range. He walked me through all the steps and everything went nice, smooth and with no pressures like I have felt in the past with another dealerships. More than that, he promised to replace a defective CD player in the factory sound system of the vehicle, since this was not disclosed in the agreement the dealership could not take responsibility for it but Mike offered to replace it from HIS OWN POCKET and that just blasted me away. I found a great deal on a Sound system with DVD player, GPS and lots of other perks so I called Mike and asked him not to worry about anymore. Since he promised to help me with the replacement of the original equipment, he decided to install my new system for me saving me a couple hundred dollars for the installation. This is what I call going the extra mile for your customers. I am a truly happy customer and from now on will go to Mike every time I need to service the cars at home and when I need to replace my cars. GREAT JOB !!!!

Mike Gallio was a nice guy to work with and he was able to accommodate all of the requirements that I had prior to purchasing the car. Dan Perkins Subaru made my car buying experience stress-free and actually fun! My sales associate Kevin Puzzo was super helpful. I am the type of person who must look at every option and go through each detail before making a decision or a purchase. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable about all the vehicles I asked to look at and was very patient as I took the time I needed to look at each thoroughly. He was truly interested in helping me find the best car for me. I had been searching for a small crossover that I would feel comfortable driving, switching from a small compact car. After test driving the 2014 Subaru Forester I felt it had promise but I was unsure if I could get used to driving a larger vehicle. Kevin suggested I take it for a 24 hour test drive which turned out to be just what I needed to know that this was the car for me! During the purchasing process I felt they were very fair in their negotiations. After having problems with my 10 year old Mercury Mountaineer, i was in the market for a used car. After doing a ton of research I decided on Subaru, specifically the impreza. It has all the features I wanted as far as style, all wheel drive, and cost. After shopping at many dealerships with no luck, I ended up at Dan Perkins. Avrom immediately greeted me and asked how he could help me. He set me up with a phenomenal salesman Bob Oshrin. Bob showed me a 2007 impreza with 92,000 miles on it for a great price and I loved it! However, Bob was very decent and honest and let me know that the car would be good for about 15,000 miles then I would need to put a significant amount of money into it. We talked it over and he told me that he could most likely get me approved for a lease on a brand new impreza. I was not at all expecting this because I am a 23 year old college student with not bad credit, just no credit. However, Bob and George worked very hard and got me approved for a great rate that I could definitely afford! Also when I went to actually pick up the car and finish signing the paper work, George informed me that he had worked something out with the bank and the original monthly payment I was expecting turned out to be even lower! I had a problem at DMV involving the car i was trading in and when i spoke to Avrom, he allowed me to pick up the car early so i didnt have to wait another week for the paperwork to go through! As a first time car buyer I could not be more pleased and impressed with my experience at Dan Perkins subaru. I never thought i would be driving a brand new car of my own and I am absolutely in love with my impreza! I already have my boyfriend wanting to go there for his next car! I needed a new car and had done research through Consumer Reports on models etc, and picked the Impreza. Bob called me and was very friendly and I came down for a test drive and was treated very well. He already had the same model out ready to drive and there were no restrictions on the test drive, as Bob said "it's your test drive, drive where you want". He explained the car well as well as all the features and the paperwork was explained well. Bob was easy to talk to, good humored and knew the cars. I test drove on the Saturday and the car was ready to pick up on the Monday, cleaned with a full tank of gas, plus Bob set up my Bluetooth connection as well was happy to answer any questions I had, and also took the time to show me where to go when I came in for maintenance. All in all a pleasurable experience buying my first new car (the Impreza Premium w/all weather package). I did not feel pressured and Nick explained the financing options well and they also tranfered my plates and registration quickly when I came in to pick up the car. I would recommend Dan Perkins for those interested in purchasing a Subaru.

But coming here I was shocked and surprised, here they offered a free lifetime powertrain warranty and the sales and service dept. was just beautiful compared to everywhere else I had been. My sales rep was Gabe and let me tell you, BEST SALESMAN I've dealt with throughout my car buying experiences.. Gabe sat me down and we went over what I need and want and picked the most suitable option for me.. He found my car promptly and delivered a great price, great service and all with a a joke and a smile.. Seriously tho I'm 24 and I was expecting to get treated as just another sale aka number by these guys just as I was treated everywhere else, but i could not have been more wrong. these guys proved to me that theres still honest and courteous salesman out there who aren't just trying to make their numbers. All in all I love my new 2013 subaru xv crosstrek and I'm absolutely satisfied with my car, my service, and the overall experience.. Starting at CarMax, my wife and I needed a lower-mileage, newer car with plenty of backseat space for our six-month old's carseat. We saw a nice 2010 Hyundai Sonata with under 30k miles and at a very competitive price. I went for a test drive. The salesman was nice. I was pretty much sold. The most important piece was that we needed this car ASAP--my previous ride had been totaled just days before and my wife and I could not live with just one car. Cut to: the next day. I had every intention of simply bringing my wife up to CarMax to see/drive the Sonata and be out. However, plans change.We decided to coast the Post Rd. in Milford, knowing the myriad dealerships calling this stretch of street their home. As my wife already drives a Subaru Impreza, we narrowed our search down to two venues: Key Hyundai and Dan Perkins Subaru. We never made it to Key. Walking in, we were immediately greeted by a smiling, eager, young salesman named Mike Gallio. He listened, assessed our needs, made an immediate recommendation (a Legacy), and showed us what they had on the lot. The older, higher-mileage car was right in our wheelhouse for cost, but it had a bunch of nicks on it, and it just didn't embrace us at first glance. That said, the dark red 2012 Legacy with only 26k miles parked right next to it looked intriguing, except that the price was just a smidge out of our range. Regardless, we didn't want to leave without taking it for a spin, and thankfully we did, because my wife and I fell in love immediately. Gorgeous car. Gorgeous ride. Luxurious to the point of which we're not accustomed. Cut to: deal time. Knowing that we couldn't afford the sticker price, I low-balled him, letting him know we'd sign the papers right then and there if he could get us about $3000 less than it was listed. They met us almost halfway. We put a deposit down that moment, and needless to say, we never made it back to CarMax or even to Key. We were sold. Cut to: later that evening. Sweating bullets. Thinking to myself, "WHAT DID I JUST DO? How could you just agree to something so quickly without doing all the legwork usually associated with making such a huge investment? Are you mental?" So, I furiously poured over my computer for hours. Carfax. Local dealers. Blue books sites. Found comparable prices/models at Premier Subaru (in Branford, and where we purchased our previous car). Emailed/texted Mike back and forth for the next day or so with questions/concerns. All were allayed. Even when I brought this fine piece of machinery to my mechanic to be checked, he told me that I'm "dumb" if I don't buy it. So, needless to say, this entire process was a delight. Mike did nothing but help, and even George, the finance guy, really walked us through our options with the maintenance and warranty add-ons, never being pushy in any way. I can't think of a single negative about this transaction other than the fact that Mike might've had to ask others (or find out later) about some of the questions I asked him--hardly a dealbreaker, and just needed to be thrown in to ensure you, the reader of this review, don't think this is some BS fluff piece. Also, the car did have a nick or two that Mike told us initially he'd be able to have the detailers/body guys get out, but he wasn't able. In recompense, he did offer to vouch me for two extra oil changes, and threw in all weather floor mats and a full tank of gas for good measure.All in all, I am exceptionally pleased with our purchase. I should note that the car has only been ours for a day, and I'll obviously rescind this glowing review should something crazy happen in the near future, but as of now, I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to Mike and Dan Perkins Subaru for a great experience.Oh yeah...the lifetime powertrain warranty was really the icing on the cake for us.Rock.

This was my first experience buying a new car. I appreciated that Bob is a low-key, no-pressure, friendly salesman who answered my questions and gave me a range of options. I had planned to buy a used car, but I asked to compare several used Imprezas with a basic 2013 model, and decided to go with the 2013. He was able to locate and get the color and model I wanted from out of state, in less than a week, and worked around my schedule. My husband bought a new car (Outback) from Bob recently, and had a similarly positive experience.

After my '06 Impreza was wrecked I was beyond stressed about finding a new car. After test driving a few outbacks, forresters and imprezas I still wasn't sure I had found the right car for me. I'm so glad Shelley and Sal suggested the 2013 Crosstrek. On the first test drive I knew I had to have it. I initially brought my car to Dan Perkins because they are close to where I work. From the first visit (in June of 2012 I think) they have been so friendly and helpful when I bring my car in. Gina has helped me 2 of the three times that I was there and she is so friendly and takes the time to explain things to me. My last visit was on February 1, for routine service. I brought the car in about 730am and was going to wait for it to be completed. As promised, the car was done within the hour. When I went to get into the car, I noticed there was grease on the drivers seat. I brought this to Gina's attention and she immediately called a service tech to come take care of the problem. That was all I was expecting, however, the manager authorized Gina to give me a coupon for a free bumper to bumper detail. I was beyond impressed and surprised. The service is absolutely amazing, and the waiting room is very comfortable. They even have coffee and I think that morning there were bagels. As long as I am a Subaru driver and working nearby I look forward to bringing my car to the team and Dan Perkins in Milford.

I just bought my second Subaru Outback and really have no critcisms of this dealer. I am familiar with Dan Perkins, as I have been having my old Subaru serviced there for at least 6 years. Employees are always attentive and pleasant and I have never been pressured to have any work done on my car. I have also noticed that both the service department and the sales department employees have a low turnover rate, which means that they are happily employed and dedicated. Prices are somewhat higher than the local service stations, but Dan Perkins regularly offers coupons and special pricing. I have never had to bring my car back after service, because something wasn't fixed properly, so I have developed a trust in Dan Perkins that is worth the few more dollars charged. My experiences have all been positive, and I would recommend Dan Perkins Subaru for both service and purchasing a new car.

We looked up the dealership on-line for used cars for my wife and daughter. They had a selection of cars at the prices we were looking for. On arrival we were greeted by our salesmen Mike Gallio. We told him that we were looking for 2 used cars and the price range we could afford. We were trading in our 2 cars. MIke showed us the vechicles that they had on the 2 lots and we test drove quite a few of them. Mike never was pushy or tried showing us more expensive cars. Mike was busy with us that day and he was a pleasure the whole time. He new the cars and helped us make the deal on 2 cars that my daughter and wife are excited about owning. Mike went out of his way on many levels that I have never had a salesmen do for us before. Mike was able to get us KBB for our trades and the dealership was very fair on their prices. We have bought many cars before and this experience with Mike was how a salesmen should treat you. My kids are both driving now and I will be going back to Mike when they are looking to buy a car in the future. If your in the market for a new or used car go see a great salesmen Mike Gallio and enjoy the car buying experience for a change.

Traded in my 2004 WRX for a family vehicle . Liked the TriBeCa was show two. Kevin never rushed us and answered all questions. Got us the best deal and helped extremely. The purchasing of the vehicle took longer than expected but that was mostly due to the bank and not the dealership. Kevin always answered my calls and always called back when I left a voicemail. This is the first dealership I've ever been too that explained everything never rushed me into anything. First of all I love my Subaru Outback! It is the first car I've ever had that can manage to make it up my steep driveway on ice without chains! Secondly, the dealership goes out of its way to accommodate you as a customer. There's none of the gimmicky "let me talk to my manager" stuff. You get a bottom line price without games. It's the first dealership I've been to that treats you like an intelligent human being. Shelley, my salesperson, was fabulous both times I've done car business there, accommodating and very attentive to detail. Even when I've gone in for oil changes, if she is working, she makes it a point to come over to say hi, how's it going, how's the car, do you need anything. Amazing in today's world. She, of course, stands out but they're all terrific, whether a service call or a part issue. I can't say anything bad about them.

I was referred to Regina. and that was my reason to go back to Dan Perkins. I met Regina in the late fall...did my test drives...and promised to return. Regina followed up.. she was persistent, without being pushy. thorough and very well versed in product. and when the year end opportunities came up..quick to contact me again. Her follow up after the sale has been as good as pre sale. she has shown interest in my satisfaction. and I would work with her again, and certainly recommend her to friends.

After quite a while of searching for the vehicle that I wanted,I finally found it on the internet for a fair price. Problem was that I was looking for a Ford truck, and the dealer was Dan Perkins SUBARU. Turns out that it was no problem at all. The sales staff was very knowledgeable even regardless of the fact that the vehicle was not their specialty. The salesman, Bob, was awesome to work with. Very relaxed, and just overall nice guy. I had a very pleasant buying experience, and would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy, New or used.

Warning, 5 stars doesn't do Dan Perkins Subaru justice. I did as much research on vehicles that I thought would save me money on gas and that I would want to keep. Toyota Prius c( great on gas not good in the snow) bad dealership experience after the sale was just ignored. The Nissan leaf( pure electric) 100mpg average is a pure lie; it's more like 70mpg if you don't encounter any hills ( impossible in Ct and on any of the major highways 91,95, merit, and don't even consider traveling on 84 doing 65mph otherwise you're likely to have to be towed. ( after sale terrible dealer experience). When I mentioned these issues to my dealer I was told to "just drive it until the battery ran out and then call Nissan help to be towed". Thereafter was just bounced around every time I called and asked to speake with a sales manager "Hugo" whom till this day has never returned my phone calls thanks Nissan Barberino in Wallingford Then there's the Chevy Volt ( 35 miles of electric, then it runs on a gas generator ). Excellent vehicle, excellent dealership Hi Herbert K. From Wilton Chevrolet / GMC. Again the only problem being is that we're in Ct from time to time it snows. And I don't expect this vehicle to solve my problem Then I thought of a Subaru went to a couple of dealers and most seemed a little stuffy when I made a proposal to them. Then I thought of the Milford Subaru Dan Perkins went there on a Sunday with my wife met Regina Golden. Checked certain vehicles out, went home checked for consumer reviews and read all of them with hers being the first one. And they were all true patient, no pressure committed more than her fair share of time with me and to be honest I felt bad because during our long engagement I fell asleep and she actually woke me up. And that long waiting stretch was all to my doing. I also met Sal the new car manager whom lives a couple of blocks away from me and we had a really nice time. And I was offered a little more for the sales transaction than I had the nerves to haggle for. And there was another gentleman with his son whom asked for a demo of my Nissan Leaf in which I traded for. The car was emaculent when I received it and I drives great and serves all of my needs. Thank you so much Regina and Sal, and the whole Dan Perkins staff that gives me a genuine hello and are truly helpful.

There were a few things that other auto manufacturers did better. But when you add everything up, Subaru made sense. And that's what sold me. Every other salesman told me that they had the perfect car. Bob told me he had a really really good car (and one that's tops in safety!).The price was right. The value on my trade in was very fair. Although it took me the whole day to decide which car to buy, I never felt rushed. I test-drove 3 cars and looked at least 8 cars before making my decision. I bought/leased two cars wihin one week at this dealer because they listened to what I needed and gave me options that NO other Subaru dealer would do. I needed to lower my monthly payments without sacrificing reliability within a car. Shaun Hayden, the sales person, jumped right in and within two hours I had a great car at a great price. As we were about to leave he said he could get better car for my wife at a lower payment. I didn't think it would be possible but I decided to return in two days to see what could be done. My wife leased a better car at a much lower payment. Needless to say, I will travel the distance (there is a local dealer near me that said they couldn't help me) to get the best customer service I have ever experienced. The sales, finance and service departments can not be beat! Thank you Dan Perkins for having such a reliable team and great product.

I have taken my car to Dan Perkins Subaru on several occasions for routine maintenance and repairs. Each time I enter the service department I am greeted with a warm smile and friendly face. In the past I would be hesitant about bringing my car in for service in fear that the service advisors would try to up sell or over charge me for services. Here at Dan Perkins Subaru this is NEVER an issue! Dave Ortiz is always kind, Friendly, and honest about all repairs. He does go out of his way to make the repairs as inexpensive as possible. I am also always offered a loaner so that I do not have to wait around or try to find a ride to work. I did wait for a minor repair one time and had a great experience! The waiting area is very comfortable, they always have fresh coffee brewing and snacks to munch on while you wait. I would recommend getting your vehicle serviced here to anyone! The staff is great and they are always willing to go above and beyond to make your experience here the best. Keep up the good work!!

Right from the beginning i had a bad experience with them and after looking thru the lot I went inside and talk to the sales rep and got some monthly estimates on payments etc, I decided to wait and compare pricing from other dealerships..That's when I went to Dan Perkins Subaru and had the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!Right from the beginning the sales rep was very helpful without being so pushy at all and after going over number and estimated monthly payments etc.It was very clear that Dan Perkins won me over it was about $3,000 cheaper then Premier Subaru and I had the best customer service experience....I would NEVER recommend anyone to Premier Subaru their "Hassle Free Commercials " is a JOKE you get hassled the minute you walk in the parking lot.Now I'm going to recommend everyone in my family and friends to visit Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford they are the BEST!!!

I have always hated going to get a new car. Even when I leased a car, I always left thinking I paid for things I didn't need but felt pressured to get. In 2009, I leased a Subaru Impreza from Dan Perkins. I never thought I could afford a Subaru but the guys there made it happen. Well, the lease was up and I went right back because I had such a good experience the last time. Sure enough, I got Tom Montanaro to help me. He was great! Since money is tight for me (as with everyone)Tom was very patient with me. He took time and we went over all my options. Was it worth it to buy my vehicle or buy another vehicle or should I lease again? He answered all my questions and found me a car where I could afford the payments without regretting my decision when I left. I can't say enough good things about Tom. And Jeff, who did the leasing papers, even though he was super busy, took the time to explain everything to me. I never felt rushed or pressured into getting anything extra added to my contract. It didn't even take as long as I thought it would. Tom made everything happen so I didn't have to come back. I love my new Impreza and my new sales consultant, Tom Montanaro. I won't go to anyone else when I need a car. Thank you, Tom, and to all the people at Dan Perkins that were involved in getting my car ready to go. on 10/03/2011 I purchased A 2008 Nissan Altima. 3 months after the purchase I found out the car had suffered structural damage which had been declared at auction on08-31-2011, a full month before I purchased the car! Furthermore carfax states the information was available on09-06-2011, 3 weeks prior to purchase! AS I investigated this nightmare I realized the vin# on my paperwork,including contract, mileage odometer sheet,etc didnt match the vin# on car. they perpetuated a fraud and now a formal complaint has been filed with DMV and the Ct State Attorney General Office.Beware this dealership

Upon visit to Dan Perkins Subaru, we were approached by a laid back salesman who was friendly and helpful. The salesman suggested a lower priced model for our needs. After reviewing the limited selection of vehicles and test driving a model that had a foul interior odor, we decided on a vehicle to be ordered with the potential to buy.We were told that there was a high demand for the vehicle and it would take 10-14 days to locate and bring in the car. We were also told that the price of the vehicle was "as is" and non-negotiable. We put down a refundable, good-faith deposit to hold the vehicle with no obligation to buy. We did not sign any paperwork which was offered to be signed prior to the vehicle being ordered.After finding another dealer who could locate the vehicle sooner and with a better price, we contacted Dan Perkins Subaru (4 days later) to notify them that we would not be purchasing the vehicle through their dealership. We also requested a refund on the refundable deposit.Contact through emails was initally responded to (although not professionally toned) stating that a better deal could be made. When it was known we would not be buying the vehicle at Dan Perkins Subaru, correspondance was ended by Dan Perkins Subaru. We called Dan Perkins Subaru to find out how our deposit would be refunded and a manager attempted to skirt around the issue. The manager accused us of not having proper credit or being able to get financed, then was upset that we went with another dealership, stating "we already bought your car, I don't understand". We reiterated that we had not purchased or signed a contract binding us to the vehicle. Rudely, I was told that the money would be refunded in 10 days and abruptly hung up.This shows the following: 1)Dan Perkins Subaru was able to get the vehicle in at a better price, 2) the vehicle could be ordered and brought to the dealership in a more timely fashion, 3) sales staff did not keep its customers aware of the status of the vehicle, 4) the attitudes of the staff at Dan Perkins Subaru suddenly changed to being extremely rude and unprofessional as soon as it was learned they would not get our business.

Mark Mesidor is wonderful to work with. I have owned over 15 new cars in the past 25 years. In the last 12 years I have purchased 9 Subaru's. I would not think of going to anywhere else. Mark and his team of Service Writers are the best. Especially Gina and Dave. They are friendly knowledgeable but most of all they care. As far as I am concerned Mark shop be nominated for the best Service Director in the Northeast. He is by far the best that Dan Perkins has had over the years. I would alkso nominate Gina as one of the best service writers in the Northeast. In addition, Mark has a great staff of Mechanics especially John, Gene, Jimmy and Brad. The job is always done right.Finally, Anthony is wonderful to work with when I need parts. He is an excellent PArt Manager and always gets back to me.

I have had service performed there several times because there is no other dealership nearby. They seem they do good work but definitely overcharge for labor and parts as well as throwing on additional items that "need to be fixed/replaced". This past instance I had my car worked on and was quoted by the service manager one price only to find out it was over double what I was quoted when I went to pick up the car. The techs do good work but the up front team needs to be clearer with quotes and stop selling "add on" items.

Tom was wonderful to work with. He treated us with courtesy and respect throughout our dealing with him. He is a man of his word giving us accurate and precise information. He kept us in the loop throughout the negotitions and personally supervised the overall purchase of our vehicle making sure all our requirements were met. Evan and Bob went above and beyond in helping me find a suitable used car to purchase. I have a crazy schedule and it's very difficult for me to get away from the office and they made sure that they did whatever they could to make it easier for me including delivering cars to my home for a test drive. I walked into Dan Perkins Subaru with the hopes of finding a used Subaru that I could afford. Shelley was the first person to greet me as I walked through the door. I told her what I was looking for and my price range. Most car salespeople would have been turned off by my budget, but Shelley took the time to look through the inventory to find a vehicle that was right for me. I went there a couple of times, one time my wife and one of my 3 kids came and we went out on a test drive in the car I now own. Shelly could not be there, but another salesperson was more than willing to accommodate us. The next day I started looking at cars really beyond my budget. I drove a few late model Foresters and really liked them, but in the end decided the 2002 was better for my current needs. Even Shelly pointed this out, that is what impressed me the most, when she could have sold me a more expensive car, she looked to my needs instead, that is the mark of a great salesperson. I told Shelly and the managers that they were not getting a sale, they were gaining a customer. I would highly recommend this dealership and my salesperson Shelly for that matter, and look forward to doing business with them again in the not so distant future.

I've been a Dan Perkins customer for 3 years, and every experience I've had with them has been amazing. The servicing reps are so friendly and are always helpful. I recently took delivery of a 2011 STI sedan from Dan Perkins Subaru in Milford CT. My overall experience with the sales department was excellent. I ordered the car back in March and my sales associate Bob Oshrin provided professional service every step of the way, from the time I ordered until the time the car arrived. All my requests were fulfilled and anything that was promised by the dealer was delivered upon. His personallity and knowledge of cars was a tremendous help to me. He guided me through the process without presurring me into buying a car which I really appreciated. No pressure to buy here, they care more about what model is going to work best with your lifestyle and needs. Bob is excellent there, and really good at taking care of older "baby boomers" and clearly explaining all functions of the car so it can be easily understood and enjoyed from day 1.

We have purchased many cars over the last fifty plus years, including two other Subarus' from Dan Perkins Subaru. This is the first time we have leased a vehicle. By far, this was the most pleasant experience we have every encountered. All of our questions, and then some, were answered very professionally by Gabeiel and Avrom. We were given a complete explaination of the leaseing process, payment options,and financing options that were available. We also got a "hands-on" in car schooling of the Outback we were looking at. All of the options were explained in detail, as well as the unique Lifetime Warranty that comes with the vehicle. I am already familiar with the great service I have received over the past seventeen years from Mark and the service department at Dan Perkins,and look forward to continuing that relationship.

This was a "no drama" car buying experience. There was no pressure from the dealer. We visited the dealer three times for test drives before we began to deal on the car. We did our homework and presented a fair offer to Gabriel and the deal was done. My wife loves her new Outback and I did not have fight and haggle for a good deal. Win-Win. Go to Dan Perkins and ask for Mr. DeMello.

I purchased used 2001 blazer from Dan Perkins Chevy in January 2011. The first day that I drove it off the lot the anti lock brake alarm came on, fuel gauge was bouncing back and forth and car leans and pulls to to to right. Brought it back to the dealer and they they replaced the anti lock brake module but would not address other issue as they were not considered safty issues. I then took the car to an outside garage to have what I though was either alignment issue or possibly shocks replaced to fix the pulling to the right. At that time I was informed that the cars pitman arm and idler were broken and also needed upper and lower ball joints. I went back to Dan Perkins Chevy with this information and again they would not fix issues because they considered them non-safty related. Soon after that Dan Perkins Chevy closed and my complaint was transfered to Dan Perkins Subaru. At subaru they replaced the pitman arm,idler arm,lower ball joints,tie rod ends and performed an alignment at no charge. Also paid for a rental car and then provided there own loaner car while work was being performed. They say that they want to be known as the best in service...there off to a good start.

I had just gotten into a serious automobile accident and my dad has a subaru so i decided to go check them out. From the moment I walked in, they were not pushy, they were very nice, friendly, they spoke well of other dealerships.. Then I saw the car I wanted and Gabe gave me a great tour of the car and everything that the dealership has to offer. We took the car for a text drive and then we got back to the dealership to talk numbers. very accomadating to my financial situation and the urgency in which i needed to get a car.. An amazing group of people there led by Gabe. Very professional, always on time, always answered my questions with respect and the honest response.. I will be going back there for sure and I have already recommended over a half a dozen people there!!!

Went to go look for a car. Ended up finding a used Acura tsx at this dealership. Love the car and loved the experience at purchasing the car at this dealership. Any questiosn I had were answered in detail, and any requests I had were followed through on. The price was great, customer service was excellent, and I love my car. We just leased a new subaru forester xt from Dan Perkins. The dealer allowed us to test drive several different cars before we settled on the turbo forester. Paul Dempsey helped us with determining the best lease options for us, he was fantastic. Our Audi was not coming off lease for a few weeks so Perkins allowed us to pick out the vehicle then pick it up when we needed it. When we came to pick up the car it was detailed beautifully. Our agent Gabe went over all the features on the car in detail with my wife and I, he was professional and made the experiance fun. We have bought / leased several vehicles over the past years but this was the first from Dan Perkins. We definitely recommend this dealer.

STAY AWAY!! By far the worst car buying experience. When quoted a price Jeff Watkins would go up then come back down. Told me I would see the higher price on the contract but it would be taken off at discounts. (I would have to pay tax on this.) I asked what I would pay tax on, added it up myself and knew the number that I should see. I waited for an hour and 15 minutes to sign the contract. I was finally ushered in to Bob Oshin's office and told I could just sign and leave. The number was $700 more than what I had figured. There was no remote starter or floor mats on the contract. I pointed this out and was told it was ok it would all get worked out by Jeff later. I had been there 2 1/2 hours by now and wanted to go home. Bob rushed me through - gave me about 3 minutes of his time, and then told me it was a Federal offense to write a bad check!!! I was not even given a copy of the contract! Apparently they slipped in an additional $200 for VIN etching that I was never told about. They did finally come down the $700 after I asked for my deposit check back and told them to tear up the contract. Six days later I still don't have the car and they haven't given me a copy of the contract or the VIN...they can't register the car until my insurance company has the VIN. STAY AWAY from there people!!!!!

I shopped 3 dealers in CT. 2 In person 1 by phone. Went with Dan Perkins FOR NO OTHER REASON than the price quote given to me by the "Sales MANAGER". <br><br>He mis-quoted me and tried to slip the paper work by with different numbers than he quoted me... Then tried to do the same again on the second try. Finally AFTER I walked out and told them to keep the car they called back and offered me the car for NEAR what he actually quoted me.<br><br>I tried to take delivery of the car a total of 3 times before I actually got it.<br><br>It was OBVIOUSLY NOT cleaned, prepped, or checked out by them AT ALL. I'm fairly sure their driver smoked in the car while driving it from another dealer to theirs.<br><br>It was shipped with a bad O2 sensor and I've been basically told that EVERY SINGLE COMPLAINT I have regarding drivability and fit/finish are considered "normal operation" by them.<br><br>If it is normal I would suggest NOT buying a base model Subaru 2.5i However I have a pretty stong feeling I got a bunk car and they're just trying to avoid dealing with it.<br><br>The Service Manager and Sales Manager are both awful and offer next to NO help. I'm next to positive that the service manager instructed the tech to lie to me regarding what he did to check the car after replacing the O2 sensor. They said they pulled the plugs to check them... which I HIGHLY doubt they did w/o a request to do so.<br><br>The General Manager seems to be a conciencious person. However the staff there is lacking in almost every department. They just don't seem capable of doing their jobs at all.
