I spoke with a salesmans named Lee for two days regarding a 2010 Camaro was told my financing had been approved. Left work early to go sign my paperwork and give them my down payment. I arrived on the lot checked in with the front desk and waited on the salesman to come out front after watching two salesman scramble around one of them came to me and informed me that the car I had been financed for was takin to the auction that morning. But they had a $21,000 Camaro I could get. If I'd like to wait around I may get lucky and it didn't sale. I let the salesman know exactly what I thought about the carlot and being lied to. Looking at other reviews on line it seems they do this to a lot of people. Once they run your credit and see your income the car you plan on getting in no longer available because they want to make a bigger sale. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE'!' Stay clear they lie!!

This is a review of Darrell Waltrip's used car sales process. I recently purchased an eight-year-old vehicle from them in cash. (Would not recommend doing financing here.)The people here act exactly as you would expect salesmen, assistants, and receptionists at a big used dealership to act. They know that they'll have less intelligent customers whom they can sucker into their well-above-value list prices. They know that they can move vehicles quickly, and they will use that against you during negotiation (i.e. "I got this car in last night and already have had four calls about it this morning"), even if it's untrue. The sales managers will sit in their front room (where you have to stand at the counter to talk to them), and they won't come to the back to negotiate with you once you said you're ready to talk numbers. They'll reject your first offer without making a counter-offer. They'll look at their computer screens while talking to you. They'll assume that they're smarter than you.Don't let them get away with it.You can get a fast, reasonable deal here if you play your cards right. Do the legwork before you show up. Know exactly what you want from their stock (updated regularly online), and call in advance to check that the vehicle is still available and to schedule an appointment. Know what the car is worth with exactly the same specs, and find nearby comps if you can. Have your informed sales number in mind. Lowball them with your first offer, but have your second offer in mind so that you'll have a confident response to the salesman when he says "no," with no further qualification. Stay confident, quick, and definitive through the negotiation, and you will get an ok deal. (Especially women: don't let them take advantage of you. I'm a 23 year old female who came to the shop alone.)Long story short: Come here if you need a used car within a short timeframe; they do have a huge stock of mechanically sound cars. Be confident in your number as a consumer. And, of course, don't be afraid to walk if you feel that the negotiation isn't going your way. There are hundreds of other dealerships in the area.

We have been waiting over a MONTH for our new car. When we put money down weeks ago, our salesman said it would be transferred from a local dealer within that very week. The following week, he said it had been sold out from under us, but he would keep looking. Days go by, he says he found other dealers but they are not local and we would need to pay a hefty transfer fee. We said no, and he said the other option is to have one "built" and it would be available within 2 weeks.Well that time is passed, and now he says it will be available next week (supposedly). I feel like 1) we won't get the car we ordered in January until April or 2) the car will come in, but it won't be the right color/type we ordered. This has been a huge mess. I am very disappointed.

I talk with Mike Boyer Saturday night about a new car, he went in to the Magee who ever this is cutting trade in value. This came up with numbers. I told him I would thing about and let him know, his offer was if take three hundred off the new car will you take it tonight? I told I was not getting it last night, I was still looking around. He told me if you are not getting a car tonight I don't need to talk to you! The salesman apologized for his actions as I was leaving , I told that was very unprofessional and not called for that I would not be back there!

I took my Honda Pilot into Waltrip Honda (where I bought the car new) for a defective airbag warranty repair. It will be my last visit to this dealership as this wasn't the first time I'd received less than satisfactory service. On this visit:* I was immediately accosted by an overzealous sales person who called me by an incorrect name, shoved a piece of paper at me showing my payment for a new Pilot without asking if I was even interested in a new vehicle. He asked no qualifying questions, just went straight to close the deal. It was rude and unappreciated. *. Honda told me I'd have a courtesy car. When I arrived I found it was a rental from Enterprise and I'd need to go to the rental office for paperwork. If they wanted me to buy a new Honda why didn't I receive a Honda loaner? They certainly had plenty of inventory. Why give the inconvenience? Why introduce me to another brand via the rental?* They lost my key. *. Since I'd had other issues with Waltrip I used a local mechanic for maintenance. This local shop put a mileage reminder for my next scheduled maintenance on my windshield. The Waltrip people removed it without asking. After bad repairs and other issues, this adventure proved once again why I will not return or recommend Waltrip Honda.

On 11/4/15 my wife took her old 1994 Honda Prelude in for services. I gave her a list of thing I had done. (I used to be a mechanic). The services manager said they needed to do a complete front brake job, water pump and timing belt. He said the water pump was leaking. I checked the water just a week ago and there was no leak. Because my wife has an emotional attachment to this old car I agreed to the work. They needed the car over night. I talked to the service manager. He stated they would provide her with a loner car or a rental car free. On the bill there is a $58.00 rental car fee. There is a $40.00 freight charge for parts that came from their warehouse. There is a $100.00 charge for inspection of suspension. Job # 3 is $283.34 for the brake job. Job # 5 there is a $100.00 charge to rep pads and rotors. After my wife got home and she called me at work I asked her to call back and make sure they are going to do a wheel alignment that was one thing she took the car in for. She called the service manager back and my wife was told that they would do the wheel alignment for free. There is a charge of $59.99 for that. So there is a total of $357.99 worth of charges that are unsupported. Richard Ley

On 10/31/15 drove from Birmingham to Nashville to purchase a new car for cash, a transaction that should have taken an hour.I wasn't aware that the dealership was under the impression that it was the DMV. Three hours of interagation, waiting, more waiting, we left with little or no paper work to register the vehicle, the dealership would handle it.A week later we received additional blank paperwork to be signed, and, returned. NO WAY!Looks like I may have to hire a lawyer to get my car registered. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

If you're a first time car buyer, you must, must, must come to Darrell Waltrip Honda. I recently moved to the Franklin area from DC where I never had a need to have a car. After popping around a few car dealerships, I finally stumbled on Darrell Waltrip Honda. Right off the bat, Randy knew I had never purchased a car before. This immediately made me uncomfortable and nervous that I was going to be taken advantage of. Complete opposite happened. Randy showed me YouTube videos explaining differences between new and used cars, printed me articles explaining different concepts behind buying a car, and best of all, never once did he pressure me. He even told me to go home and sleep on everything I had just learned before making a decision. Randy went above and beyond to get me the best deal ( I came in with a very set budget) and was so patient, even staying a bit after hours. All those horror stories I had heard about being a female and buying a car are thrown out the window. Randy, you made the unknown, and quite possibly the most stressful, part of my out of "district" move comfortable. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you! I love my new Honda Fit :)

They honor the TrueCar pricing and made the transaction easy. Terry Hill was our salesman and he was terrific! Not pushy and allowed us time to go over everything. Bought 2 cars from him and plan our next purchase with him.

My wife and I have bought several cars from DW, were treated fairly in the past, and we decided to trade in her 2004 Accord for a 2015 Fit. The AC on her Accord stopped working and in this heat we just decided to trade it in. At her last service appt they handed her a signed offer, good for a week of $5,000.00 for her car so we figured they would only offer about $4,000.00 in order to fix the AC.We were offered $2,000.00 after waiting for 45 minutes and when we said, "Thanks for your time, we'll look somewhere else", the Manager came over and said that was a VERY fair price and implied we didn't know what we were talking about. When we referenced the offer from them he said, "That was just the first offer and we would go through the car thoroughly before making a "final" offer. Interesting since the car had been serviced there since the day we bought it.We went back home and verified that the KKB value was $5,300 and went on their website to see the same year Accords with more miles for $8 - 9,000.00. I understand they need to make a profit but it's ridiculous they way we were treated. We like Honda's but are going to a different dealership. The one in Murfreesboro offered $4,000.00

During a trip to TN recently, I brought my son's 2014 Honda in for service at DW--the work was completed well and on time as promised. Service Advisor Angel was excellent--she went over upcoming maintenance needs and was very pleasant to deal with. My son will definitely be bringing his car to DW for all future service needs--this is a top-notch dealership!

Well it all started with taking my accord in for an oil change no big deal right? As I am being wrote up I was told this would take about 2 hours AND I HAD AN APPOINTMENT. so as I laugh thinking the gentleman was joking he then puts paperwork in front of me and tells me I will try to have you out about 1 pm. I then get frustrated and ask what is the hold up he said "sir we're busy". I can understand that but I feel as if he was a bit unprofessional. I then go sit down start doing some work on my laptop. 2 hours then went by and I went and asked for an update and I was told we haven't got it in yet, I'm sure my face was blood red at this point, I sit back down continue working. Finally I am called to check out, I was pointed across the parking lot to where my car was and then asked to speak with Archie who had been taking care of me, my entire family and several of my friends for years me personally for 18 years. He is the man but I was flustered when I was told that he had been let go and was told he was at Nissan of Murfreesboro. Needless to say I am trading my 12 accord for a Nissan and I have several friends that will do the same. I WILL NOT be back to see OL' DW even if it is for tire pressure. On top of the long delay I found that my washer fluid was not topped off and I had oil spots on my garage floor, mike van the supposedly new manager tried arguing with me over the phone about the issue and I felt like I had to beg to get the problem addressed. STAY AWAY PEOPLE AND SAVE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

What started out as a simple oil change quickly turned into a huge mess at DW Honda. My car was running fine before they touched it. Immediately afterwards, it was running sluggish, accelerating rough, and shifting hard. So I took it right back to them. They drove it and saw the problems, but couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. But they went ahead and told me, "These issues couldn't be caused by an oil change.. it must be something else."Since it was Saturday and they couldn't figure out the issue, they had to keep it until Monday. I am thankful that they gave me a loaner car during that time, even though I had to wait an additional 30 minutes to get the car. Nobody was in a very big hurry to do anything. On Monday, nobody had contacted me by mid-day, so I called them. They had found the problem: They put too much oil in the car. Let me repeat that: THEY PUT TOO MUCH OIL IN THE CAR!! I would expect that level of incompetence from Wal-mart... but not a dealership. It's completely unacceptable. When I came to pick up my car, the boy at the counter didn't seem to care. He just said, "We're bringing it around for you... we got everything taken care of... no worries" (imagine that in a 'I don't care about anything' voice). At this point, they hadn't even offered to refund the oil change. So I demanded to speak to the manager, Mike Van. Mike was actually very nice. For my troubles, he agreed to refund the oil change and give me the next 2 free (which is like offering a free cruise after the ship breaks down.. why would I want to do that again?? But it was a nice gesture.)Several days later... no refund yet. Just filed a dispute with the credit card company. The Good: Mike Van seemed to care that I was satisfied. The Bad: Nobody else care if I was satisfied. The Ugly: They put TOO MUCH OIL in my car. And they had to keep it overnight to figure that out.I'm sure this was just a horrible mistake. I hope they don't do this often. But after my experience, I can't recommend them to anyone.

We have been dealing with them for at least ten years. We have brought our last four cars there. There sales people, there service advisors and in particular there service manager are all excellent. (second to none) I would never bring my cars any other place for maintenance. We live 25 minutes away, 50 minutes round trip. I could get my car serviced 5 minutes from my house , but because of there honesty, friendliness, knowledge, and there ability to make me feel important and that there really care about me and my car, Once again I would never bring my cars anywhere else. THANK YOU, DARRELL WALTRIP HONDA

I want to write this review to help fellow Honda owners and prevent them from being swindled. I bought a Honda in 2011. It was used and I decided to take it to Darrell Waltrip Honda for service when indicated. I have never been one to subscribe to routine maintenance and my 1999 Xterra has never had any problems. But since this vehicle is being utilized to transport my family, I have been timely in its maintenance. I returned again to Darrell Waltrip in Franklin on Murfreesboro Road for another service visit on April 14th. I was told it would cost over $800. I left and got a phone call about 90 minutes later telling me that "while the vehicle was still on the lift" it needed rear brake pads and could use a new set of tires. The brake pads definitely but the tires could wait until the next service visit. The cost for the brake pads $250. The cost for 4 new tires over $1200. They say this "while its on the lift" statement to pressure you into doing something without checking on what it actually costs. Come to find out the brake pricing was $75 overcharged and the tire replacement $500 overcharged. I opted to do the brakes there when he said he would match the competitor price.I picked up the car to the tune of over $1000 for this routine service visit. I drove home and the next morning one of the tire sensors was reading low pressure. I had to take the kids to school, go to a bank for a previously scheduled appointment and then go back to school to pick the kids up from morning class. I had to fill the tire 4 times. I immediately went to Discount tire and was told the wear on the tires was bad and they would have recommended replacement, and that the wear caused a tear in the already thinned sidewall.I replaced all 4 tires with the same as what the manufacturer recommended for $760 plus an $80 rebate. I called Darrell Waltrip first thing in the morning to let them know of the tire issue and George in service stated I probably ran over something and that's what the problem was and they weren't responsible. I then called early in the afternoon to speak to Archie the service manager and he didn't return my call until after 5pm. I told him what happened and I told him I would like a refund on the rotating and balancing and the alignment and he said that they didn't do a rotation and balance and he couldn't refund me the alignment. He also didn't apologize for his company's practice of overcharging its loyal customers. If I hadn't hit anything why did I need a $75 alignment. This leads me to question the necessity of all the other things that they did during my service visit. It is not so much the issue with my need to replace the tires a day after the service which is coincidental at best, but the fact that they overcharge you for things that you probably don't even need at the time and way over charge you for the things that you do need. How can they look you in the eye and smile as Russell did knowing that he tried to overcharge me $600 for things that I needed and still want me to trust them as a Dealership. I can tell you that if you need service for your Honda go around the corner to Firestone for brakes, filters and fluids and go to Discount Tire near the mall for tires. Heck, they will even rotate and balance your tires routinely after that for free. But if for some reason you HAVE to utilize a Honda dealership for your service, go to Crest before ever thinking of patronizing Darrell Waltrip Honda. I gave them the chance to make it right and they have chosen not to. Do not let something worse happen to you or your family. You need to go to someone you can trust. You need a dealership and service department that you can trust to tell you what you need and charge you a fair price for the parts and services. Darrell Waltrip Honda on Murfreesboro Road in Franklin Tennessee is not that place. If you are in their service department waiting room reading this, I would get back in your car and leave.

My husband and I just bought a new 2014 Honda Civic EX-L. Great experience. Everyone that we dealt with was very nice and accommodating. They even played with our 2 yo when she wasn't in their play area! When talking about pricing and the details every thing was very clear and there was no haggling or issues. There were no hidden costs. I would say it was the best car buying experience I've had and it was with a 2 yo who was beyond ready to eat and nap! We were there from around 8:30 until noon. I'm not fond of our daughter running around at a place I do not know or in vehicles. They did not seem to care and I'd dare to say encouraged her playing in the car to make sure she liked it as well. It was very sweet and attentive to ALL of us - not just my husband for whom would be the main driver. We live in Hendersonville and would drive back there again for any other car needs. They did not try to 'push' any extras on us. They did show us the list of what we could get on it (and what it already had marked). They also had to show/tell us about specific things so that we knew what our options were which was fine. As soon as we said, 'No Thanks.' they said 'Okay' and moved on! Loved it! We are people that know what we want, what it cost and what we are willing to pay. We had already done our research and were very impressed with their (Heather's) knowledge about the vehicle and the laws and what's now required. Not once was there an unanswered question. I've seen the bad ratings from here and was hesitant to even go, but am VERY glad that we did. Maybe there is new management or maybe they are just working on what there issues were, but whatever it is, it's working!!! Honestly cannot say enough good about them and the experience!

My husband had called Darrell Waltrip Honda in Franklin, TN and spoke with Marissa. We were trying to see if we could get a 2013 Honda Civic for the price we wanted here in Middle TN before driving to Memphis where it was guaranteed to accept the price we wanted. Marissa told us to fill out the credit form to see if I qualified for 0.9% financing. The price we wanted or the vehicle was $18600 out the door for a urban titanium metal vehicle which she said was available. Marissa said she would talk to her managers. We had to call several times within two hours and talked with Marissa who said she was really busy and hadn't talked to her managers yet. By this time it was around 1pm-2pm.Finally my husband and I decided to just drop by to see if we can at least look at the urban titanium honda lx she said was available. A man walked out and said he would get Marissa. Another man approached us saying she was busy and asked what he could help us with. We explained to him the situation and he said the only 2013 honda civic lx's that were available were blue or white. We told him that Marissa said an urban titanium was available and he said no. We said "we understand you're saying no, but we were told there was one available and we just drove an 1 1/2 hours to get her from our house because we were told you had one available". The man was very snooty the first time he walked up to us and began to get really rude. At this point it was over 15 minutes of standing there to see if the dealership could even accept our offer (this has been several hours later since we talked to Marissa and were waiting to see if it could be accepted and then got there and we had to wait even longer once we got there- keep in mind that we were planning a trip to Memphis for a vehicle that was guaranteed to accept our offer). At this point Marissa was still too busy to come and help us- she didn't even come to say hi or see how we were doing with the car situation. Finally, the rude gentleman came out and said that they will match the price the dealership in Memphis if we took the blue or white civics. He went to get a blue one so I could see it and I did not like it. I don't like white either. So my husband said "You guys advertise that you guarantee you can beat anybody's offer but you only match ours and you advertise that if you can't beat the offer you will give a $100 gift card."Well the old, skinny, white haired gentleman took my husband inside and my husband came out looking angry. APPARENTLY, your HONDA franklin dealership said they will take our offer but beat the other dealerships price by "$1" to beat the other dealerships offer. That is extremely uncalled for and disrespectful. You clearly advertise "if we can't beat any dealerships offer, we will give a $100 gift card". Well they said they can MATCH the other dealerships offer and did not offer to make it cheapr until we mentioned the "$100" gift card. Then they got rude about it and FINALLY said they will beat that price by a $1. The first time we walked in that place we were greeted by a rude man already starting our experience off with the Darrell Waltrip Honda in franklin, tn a bad experience. The whole experience was awful. I will NEVER recommend or purchase a vehicle from this location in the future. On our way to Memphis, Trickett Honda (the dealership we originally wanted to accept our offer because of their amazing customer service) ended up calling us so we turned around and that night signed a contract and got the urban titanium vehicle we wanted AND we got GREAT customer service. We were ready to sign one with Honda in Franklin, but they lied about having the color of car we wanted and the customer service is awful. They advertise great customer service but it was terrible. This dealership really made Darrell Waltrip look bad. I wonder just how many people they have screwed over saying they will match the price of any other dealership and then when they say "well your just matching it not BEATING the price" and then offer a lower price by $1. Terrible dealership and will never return!!!

Before you bring in your Honda for routine scheduled maintenance, check with Crest, Reddell or Import Specialty first. I just took my 2011 Odyssey for the 30k service & to fix a noise in the pass side front wheel well. The price was $550. I was ok with the price until I learned that $550 is $200-$300 more than Crest or Reddell, for the same service. Furthermore, DW's 30k service is more involved than Honda recommends. Seems like that's the trend, all dealerships do that. That is a good reason to go to Import Specialty.I digress, not only did we get screwed on the price, THEY DIDNT FIX THE NOISE. If you bought a Hendrick Autoguard extended warranty, any ASE cert shop will honor it. You don't have to be captive to DW. Going forward, I'm taking my business to any of the aforementioned businesses. That star on the car means you got screwed by Ol' DWTheir service dept ruined an otherwise pleasant buying experience.12/18 FOLLOW UP:I took my Civic in with the Odyssey. I was instructed that I MUST get new rear brakes and rotors. "Your car is dangerous to drive" I was told. They wanted $400 for new rotors and pads. When I asked if they could just do the brake pads, I was told "Due to liability reasons, we cannot". I left, seeking another opinion.I took the "dangerous" Civic to another repair facility. I was told the rotors were fine and any wear was barely noticeable. I was charged $60 for two Honda OEM brakes

Buyer beware!!!! I was in the market for a Honda Pilot and found one which I was interested in at Darrell Waltrip online. I was traveling to Franklin TN from Bowling Green Ky one weekend and decided to stop in and look around. I ended up speaking with one of their sales people, Ryan, who quoted a price for me on a 2013 Honda Pilot. Ryan informed me that he would be able to get me the pilot in any color I wanted. I told him that I wanted a white one. He said that he could trade with another dealership to get the specific color, all he needed was a $500 deposit to hold the vehicle. I paid the $500 thinking that this was going to be a smooth transaction. I was very wrong. I called Ryan on Tuesday of the following week to see if it would be possible to come get our vehicle on Friday afternoon. He said yes, the vehicle was secured and that if I came friday afternoon, they would have time to inspect the vehicle before we took it home. My husband and I both work during the week so we took of Friday to go pick up our new vehicle. No one from the dealership called us between Tuesday and Friday so we headed down thinking our vehicle was there and held for us, all we needed to do is fill out paperwork. WRONG AGAIN! We traveled the hour and a half to Franklin TN, only to find out they DID NOT have our vehicle and could not even get the one that I had put my money down for. They began to try to upsell us to a) a vehicle with more features or b) the next year model. I agreed to get a different color than what I had originally requested. They first told me they had the vehicle I wanted in black on the lot that I could drive home that day..... another lie, after driving around the lot for a while they came back and said that it was already sold. Not only that, but our salesman suggested that "since we were getting a darker vehicle, we should get the paint protection for an extra $600" well since we didn't want a darker color due to the difficulty of disguising scratches to begin with, we were not happy with this.... but we agreed to pay the extra amount (regretfully). By this time, 3 hours has passed and I'm just ready to get out of there, finally they locate my second color choice in Memphis TN and say that they will have it delivered to us the following day. This was 2 days ago, I am out of $30,000 and still have no vehicle. I'm outraged to say the least and WILL NEVER step foot on this lot again unless it is to get my $ back. I can't believe these people can stay in business with this type of "customer service".

We are return customers to this dealership. We were very pleased nine years ago and experienced the same great service this time around. Our sales rep, Josh Moose, was very attentive without pressuring us. He answered all of our questions and showed us a number of cars to help us narrow our search. We were given time to talk independently of salesmen and were allowed to make our decision in a timely manner. When a few problems did arise, both Josh and our finance salesperson, Steven Parell, worked to resolve those issues to our satisfaction. We were extremely happy with our first Honda - a CRV - and recommended Honda's to several of our friends and family. Three family members bought Hondas after our recommendations. Unfortunately they are all out of state but if they had lived close, we would not hesitate to steer them to Darrell Waltrip Honda and to Josh Moose. We are looking forward to a great relationship with this new Honda.

I went up there to trade in my 2011 Truck for a 2013 Odyssey. The salesman kept acting like it was a done deal even after they offered me a full $2K less than the kelly blue book trade in value and what Carmax had offered.Further more...the appraiser smoked a cigarette in my truck as he appraised it. I would not recommend this car dealer to my enemies as I feel they are scam artists.I instead ended up going to Crest Honda and had a wonderful experience where they appraised my vehicle at what Carmax had offered and did it without making the inside of my truck smell like an ashtray. I am now the proud owner of a new 2013 Honda Odyssey.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the no hassle experience when we purchased our pre-owned Honda Accord with you on March 17th. We were actually sitting in another dealership waiting to purchase when your salesman ( I don't recall his name) called us with a price we couldn't ignore. We were expecting to get there and be jerked around but the sale went as smoothly as I've ever seen at a dealership. We would definitely recommend Daryl Waltrip Honda to anyone. The staff was super friendly and not intimidating and pushy.

I spent about $700 having an oil pan gasket and CV boot replaced on an Odyssey on 3/14. The service advisor said my tires looked dry rotted. So I had them replaced on 3/22 at a tire store. While removing the lug bolt on the same wheel that Waltrip worked on, the bolt snapped because Waltrip cross threaded the bolt. OK so things happen. The problem is that Waltrip will not own up to their mistake. I took the vehicle back to Waltrip and they want $400 to fix the problem they caused. And that was with the generous 25% discount they were offering!

Here is a TRUE situation that happened to me yesterday getting my 2012 Crosstour serviced for the first time at Waltrip Honda.Took car in for first oil change and tire rotation....Simple enough....here is something that drew my attention, back in July when I purchased the car...both valve stem caps were missing on my two rear tires..no big deal I left them off till I took the car in for first service...not thinking anything about it I left the dealership and went across the street to get something to eat....was gone about 15min. I returned to the dealership and to my surprise my car was ready...it struck my kinda odd that they were finished already since this service department was busy on a Friday afternoon (1:00pm).When I approached my car I noticed that both valve stem caps were still missing on the rear tires of the car and that it did not look like the tires had been touched. I proceed to go inside to pay for my service (oil change and tire rotation) and ask the service adviser if the tires had been rotated and I was assured that they had I make the statement to the adviser that both stem caps were missing on the back tires and they were still missing. (I knew they had not rotated the tires and were about to charge me for the service that was NOT preformed on my car) when I brought this to the advisers attention he looked at me like I was crazy and picked up the phone and called back to the service area and spoke with the tech that was to do my service. The tech assured the adviser that he had rotated the tires and when he was informed of my knowledge that the tires had not been rotated the story changed to "I must have forgot". How it the xxxx are you going to "forgot" to do your job and still charge a customer for it....Of course this only puts up HUGE red flags for me and having Waltrip service my car.My advise to anyone is mark your tires for a rotation and make sure you get what you are paying for....bottom line is I don't mind paying for a service However, I do require to get what I pay for.The end result was that they returned the car to the service area and rotated the tires and did not charge me for the service as a good will jester...for that I am thankful. I have owned 3 Honda's and really respect this service department will return in the future However, I will check behind them.

Got a letter indicating that they were looking to pay top dollar for used cars so thought I would go in for a appraisal of my Honda. After 2.5 hours, they came back with a lower than KBB estimate. What a freaking hoax. Never have been happy with service either. Had multiple return visits. Very expensive. Find another Honda dealer.

Well, we DID have a bad experience (lied to about emissions testing and service that would be ordered) but the general manager is making great strides to "make things right." I think that they should have been right in the first place, but since they refunded us $498 in customer service fees (that I didn't even know we were charged to begin with) I feel obligated to modify my review. Still, I won't forget how we were treated initially whenever I'm in the market to buy another vehicle again.

Tried to burn me 3 times!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP 1st. Went to them to have my 90,000 mile servicing done on a 2006 Honda CRV. They tried to charge $1,000 and much of the work did not need to be done until 110,000 miles according to HONDA. When I questioned them about this they said it was what "their dealership" recommends. 2nd. They tried to bill me another $1,000 for ball joint work that "required immediate attention". Took the car to Crest Honda for a second opinion and no action was needed. Service Department will try to screw you. 3rd. Went to them to see about buying a slightly used 2011 Honda Pilot. There offer was nowhere near being competitive according to other vehicles in the same style/mileage. When I showed them comparables in the area they just made up some lame excuse as to why theirs was "worth more". Called the next day to see if we could work out a deal a second time and they offered $1,000 MORE than the previous day??? Are you kidding me? Do yourself a favor and go to Crest Honda if you are searching for a new Honda or are having service done.

When I met with the sales associate to discuss price he looked at my previous sales history info go up and went outside the building and got on his cell and left me waiting for at least 4 or 5 minutes. I wasn't sure who he was calling or why? Couldn't have been related to the price of the care because we hadn't even begun to talk sales price. Almost got up and walked out. He came back and we negotiated but couldn't agree so I left for the even. Next day I called and counter offered. He went on about the car (trying to sell the car) that I finally had to say "you don't need to keep going on about how good the car is; will you just talk with your manager about my offer?" He called me back and said his manager accepted the offer. OK great. We discussed the chipped paint spots on the car and the salesman said that he repair person that comes by on Wednesdays couldn't get to my car because he was booked. This meant I was going to have to bring the car in the next Wednesday to let them fix the blemishes (on my time now). I didn't understand what that meant - how many sold used cars would he have to work on today that he couldn't get mine taken care of??? Then I asked if they were going to give it another wash (it was dirty the night before). Salesman said that the car wasn't that dirty just a little dirt on the back windshield - I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This dealership really wants it's customers leaving their lot with a vehicle that is not clean???? I explained that I'm a single parent and had a lot of things going on with kids and their appointments and had to arrange a ride. We set a time. I was running late and tried to call my salesman - had to leave a message that I was running late. Rides were falling through. He called me and said they were able to get the paint chips repaired and they were washing it for me. I thought great - couldn't believe that I was having to discuss these things as issues. Should be a "no brainer" - take care of the customer!! I finally got to the dealership and my salesman made a comment about how he was late for his date!!! Are you kidding me??? I am about to buy a car from this dealership spending a lot of money and this guy had the never to talk to me like I was holding him up???? Unbelievable. Then he talked about how I had him do all this work - I thought what work. I had to practically beg you to help negotiate the deal for me and acted like I was asking for the MOON!! Then he had the never to ask me to pass his cards out to friends since he provided such good customer service. Are you stinking kidding me???? I don't know what salesmanship class he went to but he needs his money back. I can't believe that this dealership with such an outstanding leader in Mr. Waltrip would allow these kind of things to happen. I was just releaved to get out of there. Hard to enjoy your purchase when you get the feeling that you ought to be thankful that they sold you a car???? Really??

Bob's years of experience really were evident when we came to try out some used SUV's at the dealership. We wanted to try a CVR. He explained the features of the SUV and all it's advantages. We also wanted to try a Rogue. We drove one of those also. He was able to point out why he thought the CRV was a better vehicle and he was correct after driving both cars. I happened to walk around the lot and found a Crosstour. He knew we were looking for a smaller SUV that we could put our large size dogs in. He suggested we consider this vehicle and went on to tell us about this exciting vehicle. He pointed out the features and then we took it for a drive. I was sold. It fit all our criteria plus it was awesome looking. Bob worked with his manager and we came up with a price that we all agreed to. He was efficient and thorough. He also had true desire to please us. We highly recommend Bob as a trusted car dealer. DW is lucky to have him. Warmly,Sharon and Michael Lesner

When we first pulled in no one got up even when my husband said who wants to make a sale? The response was we need to let rain pass by . Also when realizing we were looking at Internet sales they told us to go home and figure out which one we wanted and to come back. Um ok. We went to Crest Honda and got a 2010 Honda Odyssey loaded for 26k. We know four families who have had this same problem.Time to get the good Ol boy mentality out. Considering our network of people we will spread the word at how lazy these men were . We've already discussed with a few friends who have decided not to make the trip to Daryl Waltrip. Too bad because they were in market to get a brand new Honda. Did I mention our used was only at 40K?

My husband and I went in looking for a used Honda Odyssey. They had a few on the lot, but none were exactly what we wanted. Matt let us test drive the one on the lot which was closest to the model we were looking for, even though the price was much more than we hoped to spend. He spent the next hour working with us to find exactly the right car from one of their partners. Within 3 hours we found exactly what we were looking for at a great price, signed the papers, and were the proud owners of a new minivan, sight unseen!Because the car was at another location it had to be transferred in and Matt was in touch with me every day to let me know the status of my new car. When it arrived it was in perfect condition and had everything in it that was promised to us. It looked showroom new!We couldn't be happier with our purchase and with our choice to go to Darrell Waltrip. We would recommend Matt to anyone who is looking for personalized customer service and the perfect vehicle!

Bad Dealer: Bought an Accord and while they were preping it for delivery the salesperson (who was nice) called to explain why they were taking locking lugnuts off the car and the plastic piece that goes around the sunroof (seems they forgot to put it on the sticker) However, I had bargened for the car with that on it this was the first bad experience . . . (when I got there they decided to leave the stuff on it because the sales manager did not want to pay the service dept to remove them. . .) Anyhow, Second bad experience: Unusual process there of removing the tags and personal belongings from your trade in before going to see the business manager. This burly, ex football player has rough sales tatics to sell extended warranty, pre pay service agreements and additional insurance. Doesn't understand "no thanks" Extremely high-pressure and emotional Third, and this is the one that has stuck with me at least a close second to the first is that they charge a whopping $298 doc prep fees. (see above, 'taking the plates off your trade in' FIRST at this point you are ready to go home and the $298 seems a cheap price for getting the heck out of dodge, but what really irked me was this business manager told me I had already agreed to this when I struck the deal. A thorough review of the pre sales docuement shows he lied. The only mention of this was in the "+ taxes, license and fees" nothing mentioning the $298, the process of taking your tags off, personal items out and finally, finally going to see business manager is bad enough but when he told me I had already agreed to $298, this takes the cake.AVOID DARRELL WALTRIP and go to an honorable dealer!
