These guys are the absolute best around for all kinds of vehicles. They'll get to the very bottom of what's going on with your vehicle.

Looked at new truck, email salesman to see what kind of deal they could do on my trade in that I had purchased from them. The next thing I get is emails from the credit bureau that my credit was being checked. Called salesman and he was running by credit on a another truck that I had not seen and had not heard about any figures on a deal. The salesman told me to come to the dealership to see the vehicle that he had sent out to numerous financial companies, when I got there the vehicle he was trying to sell me had already been sold. If you are local to the area go to Jones Nissan in Sumter, they are honest and cheaper.

Spent 6 hours at the dealership just to be told that the car I wanted was at a different location and was already sold. My instinct told me to do my own research. I called and gave the VIN number to the St. Andrews location and was told that the vehicle was available Joseph Rafail Is a time-wasting LIAR. I recommend Glen Black at Payless Car Sales. Took 3.5 hours and I have a NEW CAR in my driveway that I LOOOOVE.

I went to Dick Smith Nissan on Two Notch Road (where I had purchased my vehicle) to get an oil and filter change and tire rotation. After waiting three hours for the service (which they indicated would only take two), I was informed that they do not accept discount coupons from AAA. They begrudgingly accepted my coupon but indicated that they cannot do it again (which, to my recollection, they had accepted my AAA coupons in the past). As I indicated to the manager, if it wasn't for the coupon, I would not have had my vehicle serviced there. This dealership does not have to worry about seeing me again. They really do need to work on customer service. Note: Dick Dyer Toyota has always accepted my AAA coupons when I take my Corolla in for service.

Before I took my car in for a recall and to scan computer/ECU I had a mobile mechanic to scan it for FREE. The only code on screen was an IAC Valve. I also spoke to a guy at dealer days before I brought my car in that told me he would charge $90. So I decided to let dealer do recall (free) and scan (was $90 on phone $123.81 in office) They stated that they could not scan car for codes because of an unexplained issue with the ECU. They also stated that they checked the transmission and it needed to be replaced but did not explain why... I left my vehicle with them for 2-3 days. I spoke to Assistant and Service Managers but all they can say is that the paperwork says that I had a problem with car slipping when driving around 18-20 MPH. If that was my only problem then why would I bring my car to you for the service guy to tell me the same thing? So, I have no paperwork with codes which is the reason why I let them look at my car. A few days after I left dealer I had mechanic to scan vehicle again ($35) and the same code for IAC Valve is on screen. I put my trust into an alleged reliable dealer for them to tell me nothing when Icould have gone to Auto Zone and had it scanned for FREE!!

The whole process took about 8 hours to find the car and then sign a mountain of paperwork. Then you are sent over to the financing department where you are persuaded to purchase extended warranty and gap insurance since the warranty has added $1500 to $1800 to the price. My wife and I purchased a used 2011 Nissan Maxima on Friday September the 4th and drove it home since the service department employees had left for the day. I was supposed to take it back on Saturday for servic department to make another key. Well, the car was dropped off at 11:30 am and at 3:30 pm I called and asked if the car was ready. I was told I needed to talk to service manager who then tells me it has a vapor leak. Since this was a certified pre owned you would assume the vehicle was already inspected before putting it out on the lot for sale. This was September the 5th and the shop was closed Monday for Labor Day. I was promised it would be fixed by Wednesday of the following week. Nope, we picked it up on September the 17th and the car was supposed to be detailed and it was not, but we drove it home anyway. My wife tells me the service engine light came on. So, I decided to at least wash it and started noticing the fiberglass on the front was scrapped real bad and the Fiberglass was cracked along with the paint. It appears the car has multiple scratches that were nor observed when we purchased on September the 4th. I took the car back and mentioned all this to the service manager and he assured me it would get corrected. Of course, I pick up at 3:00 pm today and the hood now has new scratches and fiberglass front spoiler is still cracked. I am very dissatisfied and will never purchase a vehicle from Dick Smith Nissan In the future. I am still suspecious the service department damaged my car while in their care for over a week!

These people are completely clueless!! Please stay away from them. I've never in my life had such a bad experience at a Nissan dealership. My teenage son has more knowledge of what's wrong with a vehicle than this entire service staff. I wouldn't take a rock to them for service or fixing. They should be put completely out of business. The only thing keeping me with Nissan is I've owned them for 15 years now and know that they are great cars. Nevertheless, the workers in this service department are as clueless as they come. I should have known better when I was told the repairman wanted to drive my car home overnight!!! I've never in my life heard anything like that. WTH!! Sounds like he needs a car himself or a bus pass.

I regret buying a car from here. I've had my car for a year now, and every time I get in it, I wish I would have never bought it. As a first time car buyer (young and naive), this dealership made sure to take full advantage of that. The sales rep was rude, the experience was awful, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. But as any young and naive person, I found the car of my dreams (so I thought) so it didn't matter.I found a car that was the color I wanted, and had all the bells and whistles that I had hoped for -in my price range- but I couldn't have been more wrong. After leaving the dealership, I realized that my owner's manual and floor mats were not in the car. I called to see if they could mail them to me and I never received a call back. I called and asked to speak to Mike and Mark, specifically, but they were always busy and apparently too busy to remember to call me back. The car has been an issue since I purchased it, and I honestly feel like I was gipped. I bought a piece of crap. It's a 2010 Nissan Maxima... one previous owner and a clean car fax. "Passed" the point inspection and seemed great. NOPE. I just don't understand why you would feel okay and comfortable with selling "an accident waiting to happen" to a first time, young, car buyer. I don't have parents to assist in the purchase, I work hard for everything I have, and this was a big investment for me. It takes a real xxxxxxxx to take advantage of someone in such a vulnerable state - and he knew that. Lesson learned.

I have been having trouble with the fuel gauge & mileage out of my 2012 Nissan Rogue. According to Mark, the cluster which is the sending unit and sensor has been fixed twice by the same mechanic. Really & it's still messing up ? I then take my car for the recommended 30000 service, since then, my gas mileage has been less per fill up. Jud Smith said my car was road tested & should get 418 per fill up because it has an 15.8 tank with 26mpg & that he was embarrassed that he had to go show the service dept about my car & told me that if my fuel light should come on around 388 miles, if it comes on before that, bring the car back. The fuel light comes on at 341 miles, I make an appt, Damon the service manager, calls me 9 minutes later & sais everything is fine with my car. He also tells me that I may be just paying more attention to this now & that Jud Smith has told me inaccurate information. I speak to Jud that day & ask him if they told him how when they car won't hold anymore gas, but the fuel gauge only goes to 3/4 full ? He said no, he then said to keep one more gas receipt & if this happens bring it back to him. I have been up there 3 times, changed gas stations & gas companies (shell, bp). I now don't know when my car will run out of gas & am saving up to have another mechanic look at it. The car's still under warranty & Dick Smith has been paid every time. They also gave me back my remotes that weren't working & only 1 works now. This is my 3rd & last car to purchase from Dick Smith Nissan !

Dropped my vehicle off at 9am on 7/17/14 to get them to see why when I accelerate on the highway the car would get stuck in between 2/3 rpm's and not go faster than 60mph. Didn't hear anything from them so I called to get an update around 2pm. Mark who was the service person tole me they were still checking it out and they would need to take it out one more time once it got warmer. I told him ok and while the vehicle was there go ahead and do the oil change. The mileage on my car was 54,675 mile when I took it with a half tank of gas and 221 miles til empty. When I picked my vehicle up at 6pm the same day, it had 54,789 and the gas light was on. They gave me my car back with the has light on. Then to top it off when they did my oil change, they did it at 54,700 according to the sticker than drove another 89 miles. When i questioned them about it they tried to talk to me like im stupid and say they didnt drive after they did the oil change but the proof is on the sticker. He than tried to say it was an error...

Everything seemed to be going fine with my used car purchase. I found a suitable car, verified the car's value, and made an offer. After a little haggling Mr. Jeter and I agreed upon a price. I was ready to make the purchase so I contacted my bank and they phoned Mr. Jeter and requested the necessary information about the car. Things were great until I received a call from my bank. They informed me that Mr. Jeter had increased the price that had been agreed upon. He increased the total price of the car by nearly 10%. After that, I contacted the dealer and ended up leaving a message for Mr. Jeter to let him know that I was no longer interested in the car and that I was no longer interested in using him as my sales contact. I also explained why. Over the following few days I received call after call from him. In the end, I was forced to add his cell and the dealer's number to my phones black list to prevent him bugging me anymore.I cannot say the dealership is bad, but if Mr. Jeter is any indication of the type of sales people the dealer has, I will never go back for anything and I will never recommend them to anyone.

I had very specific hard to find expectations of a used vehicle when I walked into the dealership. After JJ showed us around got to know us better, we ended up leasing. I've never leased before but JJ and the finance guy and the sales manager all helped in explaining the process. It was in our monthly budget and the quality of vehicle we were looking for too! The guys really took their time with us to make me feel comfortable with the sale. Thanks guys! I know we weren't easy. :)

My 2002 Nissan Altima, 128K miles, broke down north of Columbia and showed all the signs of a bad head gasket. Not living in the area, I was at the mercy of having it towed and chose the closest Nissan dealership, thinking they would have the parts and expertise to fix my car. I explained all my vehicle's extensive preventative maintenance to James at the service center. The service center mechanics ran a compression test and from that alone determined the only fix was to put in a refurbished engine for $5,600 (more than the KBB of the car itself). When I asked them to perform the head gasket maintenance, they told me no. Are their mechanics incapable of doing this work, or are they just in the business of ripping off single women? I didn't appreciate being treated like a car idiot. Since they wouldn't help, I had to hire someone in Charleston to go pick up my car and tow it back...they were willing to replace the gasket as I asked.

My father in law purchased a 2004 Mazda MPV from Dick Smith. He purchased the extended warranty and it's a good thing he did. The brakes failed and he almost wrecked at high speed on the highway. Luckily he's ok and had it towed to Dick Smith Nissan on Two Notch Road to have it repaired due to the warranty. This was New Year's Day. They kept the vehicle for nearly 3 weeks while diagnosing the issue. It was decided to be a master cylinder. They replaced it and then told him that he needed all new brake pads and rotors because his were burned up and there was metal on metal contact. For the low low price of just $880, they would replace them. Luckily I can do that work for him, and we obtained the OEM parts for just under $200.As an aside, the brake pads and rotors were fine, not in need of replacement. The pads were practically brand new and the rotors were pristine. Go figure, a service mechanic fixing things that aren't broken.A week later, the same thing happened on the highway, once again the brakes failed and he was lucky to avoid injury or worse. This was on February 6th. On the 13th, we had it towed back to Dick Smith Nissan. This is where Ryan told us that they were unable to diagnose the problem and would be sending it over to a Mazda dealer. Today, it finally got over to the Mazda dealer. 2 weeks later. We went to speak with Ryan and were given a run around. "We had to diagnose it first before we could send it to Mazda." Well, sure, but you said two weeks ago that you were sending it to Mazda, not that you needed to diagnose it first. There's the second lie. I confronted him on it and he got indignant. "We had to look at it first." he said. "Well you don't know what you're looking at, you admitted as much, why did it take you two weeks to look at it?" It takes time, I was told. We did this for about 5 minutes.Ryan is a poor representative of his company and of the auto-service industry altogether. It's people like this that lead the public to distrust all service professionals.I would not recommend buying a wheelbarrow from this company, let alone a vehicle. They clearly do not have your safety or your best interests at heart. By the way, both times I've visited Ryan at the service center, there were less than two cars in the service bay, with at least three mechanics standing around shooting the breeze. Ryan himself was sitting on a stool, piddling around. I think I know why it took two weeks to look at the van this time. Dick Smith should be ashamed.

I had previously scheduled for Dick Smith Ford to remove my radio/cd player for me to personally ship it to be repaired to Richmond, VA. Dick Smith Ford did their part in removing and re-installing the radio without any problems. However, the company that repaired the radio/cd player failed to tell me that they had a bracket on the radio/cd player that needed to be removed before re-installing the unit. Joey Hingle had the person that re-installed the radio to talk with the technician in Richmond that repaired the unit and figured out the problem. This kept me from having to have the radio removed again and ship back to Richmond, VA to correct a minor problem that the repair company in Virginia created. Mr Hingle and the person that re-installed the radio were very kind in helping me resolved a potential problem. Thanks for the great help and having an excellent attitude! I always get great customer service when using Dick Smith Ford, and Pulliam Ford before that.

THE WORST AUTO SALES SCAMMERSI am an actual shopper who purchased a Nissan Pathfinder from Dick Smith. Here are some words of warning. If you have poor to moderate credit, DO NOT finance through these guys. They use every trick in he book. Especially watch out for a sales associate named David (or any of them). I financed through these guys and three days later, they call me up saying "Your financing feel through." (Financing can be verified in less than 15 min.) I came back in to discover that it was four points higher. Also, do not allow yourself to become scammed. Go to www.carbuyingtips.com. I can not possibly list all the scams that these guys use in this review. Beware.
